I saw your post about Bones missing canon details about Bakugo. I don't watch the anime though. What did they do?

It's subtle, and were it not for the weird filler leading up to this I wouldn't have bothered to make note of it.

I feel like the manga made a very specific point of drawing Katsuki as having a separate reaction from all the other students. His reaction in the manga is one of fear and apprehension, whereas in the anime now he’s just as confused about Izuku’s words as the rest of them. Maybe the anime felt like this highlight would be too much of a giveaway, but to me this moment has twofold significance:

1. It underlies the subtle hints that Katsuki stands as one of Shigaraki’s main opponents (if not THE main opponent).

2. It builds on the arc of how Katsuki is the only one in on the One For All vs All For One secret.

This change makes him look clueless and incompetent, when we all know he’s FAR FROM those things.

Like I said, it’s subtle. I wouldn’t normally care on this level. But it’s there and it’s compounding with all the other weird little things the anime has done so far...

PLEASE let it just be a one-off oversight. PLEASE.

Mina and Denki’s friendship

Funny like people were afraid the anime would soften Enji, but they kind of softened Touya instead. The "attacking Shoto" scene was less direct than in the manga, and they gave to the kid some other expression beside the pout and the Joker Dabi's sad/hysterical smile and crazy eyes. Probably they were worried he seemed too much unhinged from the beginning. (It WAS kind of creepy how he seemed to have only two faces, poor Touya). Also, Rei using her quirk to stop him. That's... I don't know what to think about it. Yeah, it makes sense, but... In the manga we only saw the scorched sleeve of Endeavor to get what it was happened (and I loved the "show don't tell" there), and it seemed he just... physically stopped Touya grabbing him for his fire hand or something. Rei having to ice his first born to protect Shoto it seems so much more traumatic for both of them, than Enji just grabbing him and keeping him in a place. Yeah, it kind foreshadows the tendency of Enji to froze and not react promptly in a crisis when his family is involved (a tad too much, they totally removed him by the equation in the anime: even thinking his shirt is scorched anyway, they cut up his reaction to Touya attacking Shoto, and with Rei's ice and the sleeve not being the next thing we saw, it kind passes unobserved he did something at all), but if Rei was used to reach to her quirk as defensive reaction, at this point I have to ask myself why she didn't ice Shoto too in opposite to launch a kettle. Wtf.
