Being tired of everyone's shit.

They can be polyarmory or something. Of you're so tired you're ready to just fall over? Idk bitch have a cuddle and a quick nap. The two others can watch your respective spoiled little shit for you. They can all feed eat each other their cooking while screaming about their uncertain futures. Making plans to try and stay together while all silently acknowledging that it may all be for naught. But hey, if it does all go to shit, at least they had these moments of peace and freedom while they lasted. (They all breathe a huge sigh of relief when, years later, they're standing at an altar with matching rings and trying not to cry).

On another note. Adueceyuu is one of my favorite ships unironically. Classic friends to lovers trope with a big ol' slice of possible angst. Just going through the whole "What are we" anxiety stage and them not wanting to put a label of it because, "what if yuu leaves?" "What if we all drift during internships?" "What if we all hate each other next year?" "What if our entire dynamic changes as soon as we acknowledge this thing we're doing for what it is?" And they're trying to save themselves the heartache.

And then it all just boils over at a party when they start making out in the heat of the moment or something stupid like that. Have fun dealing with the consequences of those actions ace! Cause duece is ready to commit and do the honorable thing and yuu already rearranging their entire lifes future in their head to stay with their stupid stupid boys.

I'm not the biggest fan of poly ships if I am being honest, I'm strictly monogamous so writing for poly stuff well/at all is hard for me. But for some reason literally none of that applies to Adueceyuu, I unironically love them all together. I think Deuce is the first to realize his feelings for Yuu, but he struggles with his feelings for Ace. He knows they're there of course, but he also has this image of Ace in his head as his rival he isn't fully willing to give up. Ace makes such a big deal of how lame romance is Deuce isn't willing to deal with the humiliation of being rejected and made fun of. Ace on the other hand... he knows what he's feeling but he is going to deny it for as long as he can for all of the exact reasons you listed. He loves so deeply and is so protective of both of them, but he cannot say it out loud because then that makes it real. So all three of them do this awkward dance that's just painful for the other members of their friend group to watch because they know that the card trick trio aren't together together, but try telling that to the rest of the school. You can't.

Que a fourth year graduation party where Ace opens his stupid bratty mouth and suddenly he's getting tagged teamed with open mouth kisses by both Deuce and Yuu, and wakes up the next morning with Yuu squished firmly between him and Deucey. Good luck getting out of this one Ace.

He totally pretends he was the one who asked them both out and made it official but all you have to do is glance at the look his partners faces to know that's not the truth.

I like the situation you wrote for Jamil and Ruggie, they clearly have mutual respect for each other in GloMas and both are deeply sympathetic to Yuu's situation. I could see them planning together for the future behind Yuu's back and discussing if they should encourage Yuu to stay, unfamiliar with the feelings of guilt the idea brings. It would be such a relief for them when things work out for them without any underhanded tactics.

Nick's sibling is actually Sunny's friend, and the one who introduces Nick to him. Sunny's friend group is just Sunny, Nick's sibling, and one other friend.

Sunny is a demiboy/bigender; Nick is demisexual but has no idea the label even exists.

Nick's first shirt button always being opened is because he feels suffocated really easily, not just because I'm gay. It's kind of his kryptonite.

Literally every single one of Sunny's friends hate Nick. It's kind of a race for who cuts him off from the other first.

They both have very similar mental issues, they just have very different attitudes about it.

Sunny is Nick's first time actually being in love with his partner. He's had previous partners but was never emotionally invested in the relationship aside from extreme possessiveness. He's never dated one of the people he's stalked before.

Nick is Sunny's first partner, period.

Nick is very physically strong ! A lot more than Sunny, at least. Though Sunny has rage in him that could kill someone.

Sunny is constantly, and I mean constantly listening to music. If you start talking to him while he's listening to music, he will kill you. If you are a classmate who isn't a close friend and you try talking to him outside of school, he will also kill you! If you tell him to remove his earmuffs, start running.

Sunny naturally has a resting angry face. To counter that, he's trained himself to smile in public. If you catch him while he thinks no one's looking, he looks like a completely different person.

Nick has almost the exact same thing, except he consciously smiles in an attempt to look friendly, but his smile looks very unnatural and ends up looking creepy instead. (Him being... the way he is also doesn't help.)

Neither Sunny nor Nick have a good grasp on what's considered socially acceptable vs. what's considered creepy. For that reason, Sunny tends to excuse a lot of Nick's creepiness as "everyone thinks like this, it's just that no one says it out loud because it's not socially acceptable".

Nick is an introvert because he hates most people, but he's socially competent and somewhat charismatic. Sunny is an introvert because he is so socially incompetent that talking to people is just more trouble than it's worth.

Jonathan’s situation is just so isolating. 

I’ve seen a few posts talking about how sweet it is that he would include the other members of the team in his will if Mina didn’t outlive him, but really, it’s just so sad. Mina and Jonathan have no living relatives. Besides Mina, Jonathan has no one. Even the other men in the group are just tangential in his life. He doesn’t form connections with each of them as Mina does. They’re practically just coworkers. We only see a handful of interactions between him and the others, and he only bonds with them over two things: Mina and killing the Count. 

They have read his journal, but they don’t know him. If he were to die, and Mina not outlive him, no one would grieve Jonathan. They would grieve Madam Mina’s husband. They’d grieve the amazingly brave man they found depicted in his journal, not the man who woke in the night and had to be calmed down from nightmares, not the man who feels responsible for every death and loss that has occurred over the course of the novel. They would mourn a hero, not a man.

Everyone would grieve Mina. She is their star of hope, as Van Helsing has said, a beacon, a sign of Heaven on Earth. She is kind and intelligent and she has touched all their lives, and her loss would be felt beyond just their little circle; it would be a tragedy. 

And now Mina has asked Jonathan to be the one to take her life, and he cannot say yes. He can’t muster the words, and in many people’s eyes, he is being selfish and he needs to man-up and just do what needs to be done. But Mina isn’t just his wife, she’s his only true friend. They’ve known each other since they were children and planned to spend their entire lives together. Now, Mina is almost telling him that her death is an inevitability, and he needs to be the one to carry it out for her sake. She doesn’t force the words from his mouth, but she has him read a burial service, and it was so heart-wrenching that Seward couldn’t even finish his account of it. 

I have so many feelings about all this. For those who are upset with Jonathan for his hesitation, just imagine Jonathan without Mina because the man himself cannot. The only thing that got him out of that castle was the hope of seeing Mina again, and the only one who could remind him he was no longer trapped was her. Mina is stronger than Jonathan; she can survive without him, but he cannot survive without her. 

Ppl saying that Chopper is too childish and babyfied so they don’t like him kindly DEACTIVATE. This kid has been going through almost NONSTOP trauma for most of his childhood, and he is finally with a group of crazy strong monster people who he feels safe with. I think maybe a little age regression is good for him actually. And he is NOT childish NOR immature. On the contrary, he tends to be a voice of reason and empathy in serious situations. I RARELY if EVER consider Chopper’s actions in serious life or death situations to be childish. The way he acts when he is safe is not the only thing that quantifies his emotional intelligence. He has never had the opportunity to be a kid, so what’s wrong with him being one now?? He has EVERY RIGHT to indulge in a luxury he could NEVER AFFORD. For some people age regression is like a little treat, and I’ll be damned if I let Chopper haters slide.

ok so fans who hate alicent LOVE to say shit like "book alicent was beefing with a child lol" totally unironically. and it just confuses me. like Bro... all f&b tells us is she Stopped Being Nice to rhaenyra after aegon was born (when viserys showed no sign of naming him heir). because, reportedly, she was originally kind to rhaenyra. apparently kind enough for at least one or two people to note a sudden change in demeanor.

and like im sorry. is it that crazy that when alicent began to understand rhaenyra and her own son were going to be pitted against each other in the future she chose aegon and distanced herself from rhaenyra? she wasnt "beefing with a child" like i feel thats so clearly just a little joke someone made thats been taken at face value and regurgitated. because its not true. or at least f&b gives us no indication of it - we're never told about her acting maliciously toward a young rhaenyra. in fact i dont think we're given much indication they really interacted at all. and anyway, wouldnt it have been worse for her to continue to keep rhaenyra close ? so she could try and manipulate her?? people make book alicent into this great seductress and manipulator and theres basically no textual evidence to support it. if anything i feel like alicent distancing herself shows she very possibly DID genuinely care about rhaenyra once, perhaps enough to worry her attachment might undermine her cause to prioritise aegon in some way. and this is only further supported by rhaenyra's decision to spare alicents life later when the rest of the greens became dragon snacks.

then theres the fact book alicent was the one who asked viserys to betroth aegon to rhaenyra. why would she do that? a woman from a house with such close ties to the faith no less. she asked when aegon was 6 and she must have known by that point viserys was likely never going to name aegon heir - imo she was exhausting options to try and protect her children. no matter what choices aegon made he had every chance of becoming a symbol others would use, forcing rhaenyra to make an example of him to maintain control. marrying them to each other would do a lot to avoid that eventuality. it was both a smart political match and what Targaryen tradition demanded. viserys was convinced alicent was only acting out of ambition which is why he rebuffed her, but we're repeatedly shown viserys is kind of an idiot. especially politically.

theres this Obsession with the idea alicents characterisation was changed so dramatically for the show. 'i wish they'd made her like book alicent' they did...? they made her a victim who is scared and anxious and bitter. theres nothing to suggest that wasnt who book alicent was. everything we know of her is filtered through layers of bias - her story told by men who dont give a shit what she felt or desired. and what? you dont like it because you wanted her to be some one dimensional villian? because doubling down of f&bs oft misogynistic, cardboard cutout representation of her would have been So great. like please, i get that so much of f&b can be interpreted a whole bunch of ways but 'alicent the evil step mother' is the most basic, boring interpretation. it shows no depth of thought at all. theres at least a few clues in there as to who she Actually might have been, if you bother to look.

its just insane to me honestly. you read that book and thought she was pure evil? this woman who doted on her daughter and grandchildren so completely that her grandson's murderers knew to find them in her rooms. this woman who spent her last moments embracing death, pining for her dead children and speaking fondly of the old man she used read to as a girl. its really not that hard to percieve book alicent as a trapped and embittered woman desperately scared for the lives of her children. seriously. where is the critical thought? the empathy?? im so tired.
