You might be referring to my old one, but this is my updated one! Forgive the hastily doodled on clothes - this is also my body type/scar/tattoo/etc/general ref sheet, and while I've posted it without the colors before, it feels weird posting it with colors cause for some reason then it looks like theyre all naked, lol. Probably not gonna post too much more while I work on this headcanon ref sheet since it's gonna pretty big, but here's a snippet of what I have so far.
These are known as the "Common Flicky", the most abundant Flicky type found around Mobius in the wild. They're highly intelligent and are also considered companion birds for some Mobians that can learn mimicked speech like a parrot. They come in the greatest variety of color patterns, but mostly stick to the blue to light green range with a third and/or fourth accent color. They're Dr. Eggman's favorite animal to capture on a consistent basis due to their high population density and even higher energy reserves to power his badniks.
Overall there are currently 4 well known species of Flickies documented that have different body shapes and color palettes depending on region, temperament and abilities i'll be exploring later.

He only masturbates on occasion. Example, if for some reason you’re not up for the task (which is rare) he takes care of it himself.

He has a LOT of kinks. 90% of which he would never mention to you no matter how badly he wants to try it out.

Pretty average. Though, not often is there a time he doesn’t want to fuck. At least not when it comes to being around you.

He’s definitely the type to fall asleep 5 minutes after finishing. The whole ordeal tires him out too much, especially after emptying his load(s) he’s got nothing left for brains.

Do/for you have to make references for any other characters in Handplates? Like the mouse or pterofractal? The same goes for the characters that have canon designs in Undertale. Did you ever need a ref for them?
Honestly I like never make reference sheets until something forces me, haha. With the mouse I just go back to the first comic he appeared in and just ref off of those. I might have mentioned this before, I forget, but originally that mouse was supposed to be the mole in the MTT comedy club but then I looked up their speech pattern and it didn't fit, so instead I made them a Rathbone cameo from The Lost Mind of Dr. Brain. :B
I had to improvise his lower body so I just gave him big wading pants lol.
As for Pterofractal, Jaz gave me this!
I do have a folder for canon refs, mostly screenshots I've taken to get colors and layouts for certain areas in the Underground, haha. And some sprite sheets if I need them.
Nothing really official or purposeful though, just screencaps and snips from other files I end up reusing.

not a big piece but i really wanted to share my ideas/headcanons for omori character design's! (already apologize for any english errors, i'm writting this at 2 am on a school night help)
-HEADSPACE-
-My first idea was to have all of headspace characters to look like cartoons, with wompy anatomy and shapes, it's even the reason why i try my best to draw eyes in the omori style, normally i wouldn't but i think it has it's charm. If i ever animated them aswell they would just have very exaggerated movement and reactions, like old cartoons
-All of the main cast has different shades of purple! except for basil and omori ofc, basil being shades of green/cyan and omori being shades of darkblue/blue (in game lore it makes completely sense why he doesn't have color but for painting+drawing purposes i made him shades of blue to make the illustrations more interesthing haha)
Might be obvious by now but the characters have lil stars on their hairs and tips of their body parts (props to the omori fandom you guys are creative af, and mostly zipsunz cuz i got it from him) omori ofc doesn't have that BUT he does have a lil shade of dark blue that goes all the way to the end of his hands, i wanted to do that to kinda make a ref to black space, kinda like he has a part of blackspace with him at all times (also yes that hair light is supossed to be something's eye)
-FARAWAY-
-WEll if headspace characters are cartoony, then faraway characters seems more real (as real as it can get on my style at least), it's just omori characters in my original style that's it
-For sunny i headcanon that he had to constantly cut his hair while in isolation cuz long hair reminded of his sister, so when i draw him i try to make the back look as shitty as possible, cuz let's be honest i don't think he would cut his hair properly... (this btw was completely taken from the amazing headcanon comic made by v3ratrix, i really liked the idea so i wanted to include on my own drawings aswell! thanks v3ratrix!)
-i like to make kel's hair curly cuz.. i like him with curly hair, and since him and hero are brothers, i made hero with a bit of curly hair aswell! they also have opposite moles from each other :)
-Since i have no idea wtf happend for Aubrey's eyes to turn blue, i like to imagine that she has to use glasses but uses contacts most of the time
-I like to think Kel and Hero are hispanic, and Mari and Sunny japanese american ! (cuz it fits them and also KEL AND HERO SPEAKING SPANISH SUPREMACY!!)
-Basil learns portuguese later on because he thinks it's funny that his name sounds like Brazil (ofc i'm going to have a self indulgent headcanon his name is literally perfect for it!)

Burst of inspiration :DDD
I have this concept of silverfish!silverr for such a long time and this is me trying to write the idea down
My drawing pad(?) broke and its been so long since i tried watercolor so the colors are not right in here..
Ref part 1
WARNING: i ramble below about this idea but my English is bad (and its long)
So first of all i just want to point out that I made him TOO buff. Just saying.
So you know these guys right (This is what my whole reference page is 😭).
'They are fast and they are named SILVERfish so why not base silverr from this?' Is my thought process. He is fast and silver(fish)rruns is not safe from my designing-everything-in-sight-manias ass.
(Thorax: legs)
We start off from the horns. The horns/antenna is a solidified shell around his antenna, slowly covering the whole part in an extremely slow process. The antenna part that is still exposed is working normally to help silverr see. Since you know. He's blind.
Now his back/legs. Well. Legs. Why is it on the shell? Ok now every silverfish spawned is just like that. I have no defense but it looks cool.
2 upper thorax has 4 joints and is bigger than the lower thorax. This made these legs move more freely and faster. But the drawback is that they are heavy.
The lower thorax is a lot lighter and shorter. These two legs are mainly a support for the upper thorax. These thorax also only have 3 joints.
His arms are actually his legs but got mutated(? Modified?) You can actually see the joints visible (some joints are dead so he can't use them). It also has the same hard shell with the horns/antenna at the top.
His legs are also a mutated form of thorax. With some hard shells covering most of his lower leg. The lil hairies is in every part of his body but most visible in the lower legs!
About his tail? Its not actually a tail but a decoration from his cape. (Page 2) he does have a tail but it doesn't get carried to his human form.
Now about the whole deal with him.
Silverfish usually don't live too long, mostly being 8 years or so. Silverr, who is no different, have a different approach for this topic. Instead of growing old, he started to collect this magic orb/pearl from dragons, willingly or not. This magic pearls contains a fraction of dragons power and magic. But having just 1 of these only extends his life for 1 month. One dragon can produce 1-21 pearls, depending on many reasons. Mainly of how powerful the dragon is, technique to absorb it, and how long the dragon lived. The ability to absorb some of the dragon's power and turn it into an object is only possessed by some mobs, and silverfish is one of them.
Most silverfish have 2-10 pearls, scavenging anything remains from a dead dragon. They are not capable of fighting the dragon so they usually wait for a player to slay it.
Silverr is quite lucky to spawn on a completed portal and a freshly slain dragon (more likely by a speedrunner too!). He managed to restore all 23 pearls from the dragon.
Dragon orbs not only can extend their life, but they can use that magic to do... Magic and spells? With this power, they can also change into a human. Well lets say silverr starts running.
Silverr goal is not only to live longer, but he is planning to become a dragon. Why? Immortal. At least until someone kills him. A dragon can live forever as long as there are no one slashing his neck. Also power. Also cool i guess. (Draft)
That's why he went from worlds through worlds to kill their dragon. A part of this dragonification is the growing of hard shells all across his body. When all of his antennas get hard shells around them, he finally counts as a dragon.
Clearly there are a lot i havent write down, but im too sleepy for it.

OK so I'm feeling some guilt I started to draw cartoony like you but I get frustrated because it does bot look perfect like yours it's mostly small stuff like colors and clothes I love making cartoony body's sometimes clothing but I have color picking because I'm still new to art that has colors is my feelings normal or is it wrong of me? And how do I pick colors because it frustrated me to no end and made me stop drawing for months anyway in short summary how do I color the right way like I guess I know skin tones but anything else goes wrong and the other summary is how do you draw clothing because I can't for the life of me get clothing right
don't worry - it's normal to get frustrated when drawing. i know i've literally quit and deleted entire illustrations in the past because i didn't like how the colors came out, and i can spend whole hours just choosing base colors TwT i think the important part about learning art is not to rush. i'm seriously flattered you see me as inspiration, but what worked best for me back when i heavily referenced other artists was "mixing" styles together to create a "new" one - so i'd recommend studying and copying multiple artists you like and trying to blend their styles into one if that makes sense! ^^
hating color picking is completely normal when you're first starting out, and even late into art like i said before - i've been making original digital art on ibispaint for about 5 years now, and it's still difficult. but it's easy to make it fun, and the best way to do that imo is to experiment! i'd recommend studying color theory on a larger scale, and understanding how certain colors might look completely different based on where you put them. or maybe make an illustration and color it in a bunch of alternative ways! also, having "bad" or "awful" color skills starting out is OK - i still think my colors suck sometimes even now lol.
anyway, the best way for me to color pick is to just use that color for whatever the OG artist used for their art. let's use alex ahad as an example because i find his art and color use super interesting -
i don't usually color pick, but when i do, i typically start with picking the eye color. then, based off of the eye color, i chose a base color based on the character's color pallete (easier of the eye color is already close to the main color of the character, which for clyde is turquoise).
then, i pick more colors directly from the reference, for stuff like skin. at this point i have a good idea of the colors i want to use and stop color picking from the ref, but there's no shame if you still feel you need to.
after that, based on the colors i picked, i'll color in the rest of the piece. i usually end up changing the colors that i did take from the reference due to experimenting - for me, i just use color picking as a sort of stepping stone for when i'm not sure how to color a piece the exact way i want.
eventually, you can learn to color pick by eye rather than with the picking tool in your art program, tho that takes a lot of knowledge on color theory.
really there is no "right" way to color, especially for skin imo - don't limit yourself to just peach, tan and brown. clyde's skin is bright white, but i still used a yellowy color here because it was relative to the other colors in the piece. i've also used "alien" tones for human-toned characters in the past before!

The "Teacher is Teruko's Brother" Theory
(Before we properly start, I think I should say that I am using @xmicrophonyx's names when talking about the Alt-DRDT characters. I probably didn't have to say that because Teacher's name makes it the most obvious who he is, but just thought I'd get it out of the way)
(Also, everyone seems to be using the tag #AltDRDT for talk about this new cast, so that is what I will be using as a placeholder name for the fangan until we get the actual name. I hope this won't be too confusing !!

From the day the Alt-DRDT cast was released, people have been theorizing that certain members of the cast might be siblings to the main DRDT cast. The most prominent one I see is that Scale might be Charles' dead older brother Elliot, which I do think has a bit more weight to it (see my previous post on Alt-DRDT for that) but I am on the fence of believing. A few of my discord friends theorized that Min and XF could be siblings due to their similar eye color, which I don't believe at all due to what we know of Min's homelife and what led to her encountering XF-Ture-Tech in the first place (though those two undoubtably have beef and I am so excited to see it)
However, there is one sibling theory that I think has a massive chance to actually be canon in the DRDTverse, one that I've seen around a couple of times...
...Why the fuck am I trying to build suspense, you read the title.
I think that Teacher is the brother that Teruko mentions in CH1-4.
I think this has a lot more evidence surrounding it then the other sibling theories I've seen. So take a seat and let me explain why ! I mean duh that's what this post is about

In this post, I want to talk about their designs and how they contrast each other

So there are already three, count-em three! Things that I think are very important
For one, Teruko and Teacher basically have the exact same skin color.

Other than the very very tiny difference in hue that you could basically only see if you squint, I think it's safe to say they have the exact same skin color.

Firstly, thank you for calling me pretty :D. And second of all, I am aware. But in conjunction with my next point I think you will see why I decided to mention this first.
Which leads me to my next point, and one that I've seen talked about quite a lot already: In all of the art currently out of Teacher, his eyes are closed.
There's obviously his full-body which I just showed, but even in unrelated art, his eyes are shut
Eyes completely sealed.
Now, I don't think it's a stretch to say that DRDT-Dev really likes eyes, specifically hiding things related to a character in their eyes. And eyes in general have shown to be a very useful plot point on multiple occasions
So the fact that Teacher's eyes are always closed definitely brings some attention, and part of me highly doubts it is just a design choice. There is a reason why Teacher's eyes have not been shown to us. Perhaps...sharing an eye color with someone?
And with the first point acquired of Teacher and Teruko sharing skin colors, I don't think it's a stretch to say Teacher might be sharing Teruko's eye color as well.
Now I will admit, that is mostly speculation. However there is undoubtably a reason as for why Teacher's eyes aren't shown, and with the added fact of the two sharing skin colors. It's definitely a likely possibility.

Now for my third point in relation to designs, which is the color schemes of both Teruko and Teacher
For starters, their color schemes are actually not that different from each other when you really look at them, both comprising mostly of neutrals (white, black, brown, and grey) with one particularly popping color. And it's that color in particular that I want to talk about
Teruko's color is green, meanwhile Teacher's color is red. And I bring this up for two reasons
Firstly, green and red are the most well-known complimentary colors, and considering Fire and Ice (two characters that are speculated and basically confirmed siblings) also have main colors across the color wheel from each other, I find that decision to be very interesting
But I didn't just mention this to nerd out about color theory...okay I kinda did but that's not the only reason I mentioned color schemes. Because there is one more point I want to make, and it's one I'm honestly surprised no one has mentioned yet
Teacher's color is red. Do you guys remember the QNA? Specifically, do you remember the favorite colors question and what Teruko's answer was?
Red. Reasoning: association.
I think that in of itself is very revealing, but the extra information that red is Teruko's favorite color because of association is really the icing on the cake.

True, but at the same time if we take this in consideration with the other two pieces of evidence, I highly doubt that this could be a coincidence. If Teacher really is Teruko's brother, then him being the association she has with the color red makes a lot of sense, especially considering red is literally the only non-neutral color in Teacher's design, and as such it sticks out like a sore thumb in combination with the rest of his design (in a good way).
So yes, I do think this is intentional, and it works very well considering the other two pieces of evidence. And with all three combined, I think there's no denying that Teacher being Teruko's brother is a very, VERY likely possibility.

BAJORPOSTING!
this one's a long one so strap in. Mildly nsfw innards under the cut.
Bajorans are most easily compared to Earth mammals, though their "fur" and "hair" are not structurally the same. Having evolved from a small prey animal in a jungle environment, Bajorans are both nimble and packed with muscle. They have as few bones as possible to hold themselves up structurally, mostly centered around the protection of the brain and stomach. Bajorans evolved on the medium island chain lining the west coast of their planet's single continent, and eventual spread to the entire planet.
Being originally an island-dwelling creature, the average Bajoran can swim nearly as fast as they can run. When relaxed, the end of their limbs resemble flat, but muscular paddles, good for walking and swimming. When fully flexed they resembled fingers in structure, and can be used for climbing and fine motor manipulation.
The Bajoran mouth is located on the underside of the body, nearly centered similar to that of a starfish. This gives their faces a quiet and calm look to humans at first. Bajoran expression rely on body language, movement of the facial feelers and throat sac, and the release of camouflaging filaments. I'll do a ref sheet of Bajoran expressions later, but most important is the full release of those facial filaments during moments of fear, which acts with a freeze response, and is made to help the Bajoran in question blend in with local flora. The ear holes are surrounded by two protruding bone structures, which can vary in length and width. The ear itself has a membrane that can be closed when going underwater or in loud environments.
Clothing for Bajorans tends to be open-backed, as covering up the spinal plates can be uncomfortable and make it harder to run or defend oneself. An exception would be those who have jobs related to Bajoran religion, as purposefully covering up that much is a way of showing that they should not be placed in a situation where they have to fight or be in fear.

Eggs hatch into a larval form that lacks many features of a fully realized Bajoran. Eventually, backplates start to form, which leads to the larva entering its second stage of development, encasing itself in a hard shell with the back remaining exposed. At this point, the mother secretes a modified suspension fluid that forms a sort of net that holds the pupa close. Small vascular connections form along these lines, allowing the larva nutrients while they change. They emerge like mini adults, and their skin and fur lightens over time from a dark red to their adult coloration.

Some parts of this are self explanatory, while some are... not. So let's get into that!
Filament Nodules: As mentioned above, a common instinctual Bajoran fear response is the unfurling of specialized filaments from their facial ridges, which were meant to mimic many of the understory plants in the jungles they evolved from. However, these can get stuck and irritated just like any hair follicle, and its considered a part of personal hygiene to left them unfurl every once in a while for a good clean and detangle.
Oil Gland: The facial tendrils are very sensitive, and also house glands used to spread oil over the body to keep their fur waterproof in jungle environments.
Gastric Arm: The mouth has formations that operate similar to lips in terms of pronouncing sound, but not so much when it comes to grabbing onto food and pulling it into the stomach. Bajorans lack internal teeth, having only small plates surrounding the mouth that can be used to snip larger stalks of plants into bits before consuming. The gastric arm rests curled up just beyond the entrance of the mouth, and is used to manipulate food, and also provide lingual variation in consonants similar to the tongue on a human. However, this "arm" is longer than the tongue, and more flexible. It is also used to draw food directly into the stomach opening.

@/Belial43157741 : super cool techwear/light mech elements to their art and great colors. their art usually has more minimalist shading which gives it a super clean look while still showing the form of the hard surface elements in their drawings
@/VibeStrike (NSFW) : love how soft their lines are and the shapes they use to draw bodies! once again someone who uses more minimal shading, although they tend towards softer/more blended colors/shadows which has a very soft and touchable look to it. i totally ripped off their paw style cuz i love it so much lol
@/Deceased_Bunny : their work was what got me to use that crispy ass binary brush and chromatic aberration more! I also really like the shapes they use for bodies and their art made me realize i could just give all my characters cute little paws lol. I love their little tableaus/scenes and how they can populate a room. great vibes
@/godbirdart : Their ref/outfits sheets were a huge inspiration for how i do a lot of my backgrounds. i love how they include a lot of icons/text in the layouts and it gives it this really sleek yet maximalist look, somehow balancing a lot of details while not distracting from the focal point of the characters
@/ISANANIKA : similar to prev, love their text layouts and more graphic approach especially with their work for Howl Out (their clothing brand)
@/scpkidd : love their character designs and how they can incorporate so many colors and hues in a piece while still having it look really harmonious. their use of textured brushes (especially in environments) def was one of the things that got me to start using procreate more
@/yapa_yappa : huge fan of their compositions that combine 3d models and 2d illustration/animated elements... not something i've done too much of yet but i really want to start experimenting with that combo more its such a cool effect

okay i cleaned them up & finished them sooo here are dick’s and tim’s wings (& ref photos) in my batfam wings au
+ basic info abt my batfam wings au
- this is an au where everyone has wings, so they’re not really used to specifically identify people
- most wing patterns are pretty similar and relatively common (they’re a sort of identifying feature like skin tone, hair and eye color pretty much)
- wing span & size is proportional to one’s height, weight, and body mass
- no talons or other birdlike features, just the wings and certain behaviors (whistling, preening feathers, specific food cravings/diet restrictions, etc.)
- clothes are adjusted to accommodate wings
- wings are used to express emotions but mostly basic stuff like fear, anger, happiness, sadness, etc. through behavior (twitching, flaring, puffing up, ruffling, etc.)
+ batfam specific info
- they are all birds of prey (otherwise most of them would be different birds)
- they use their wings to fight. it’s cool as hell and super intimidating
- bruce has the biggest wings of the batfam ofc
- bruce has trained his wings the same way he trained his face and body to present a mask to the world of dumb playboy brucie wayne
- dick and his parents were still in the circus as acrobats, but they incorporated their wings so it was a bit different. anyway what happens is instead of the equipment breaking, dick's parents are shot in midair during a performance. their wings are damaged and they still basically fall to their deaths in front of dick
- dick refused to fly for a while after his parents died, he only started to fly again when he became robin
- jason's wings are damaged after he is killed by the joker, and they aren't fully healed by the pit so he can’t fly very well after it
p.s. part of the reason i chose a golden eagle for dick is because i’ve been reading fics lately where jason calls dick the Golden Child or “Goldie” lol

Redid my Prospector ref, also shifted my slugcat anatomy along the way [might redo Andrew's with this new development?]
Still has his kid that I gave him for some reason, but we're not gonna talk about that much. Anyway, here's me talking about it [under cut as of writing because I don't know how long this will be]:
This is just gonna be some elaboration on the bullet points in the ref itself.
- Slugpups generally have a track record of being attracted to shiny things [this is often seen in game with how they act with pearls]. Rain world doesn't necessarily have any rocks or things of the like to interact with, but there are pearls, which I feel Prospector would collect and keep on him for their different colors and shiny properties without even thinking about what's possibly encoded on them.
One thing leads to another, and Dot gets caught with a pearl of Prospec's and ever since then has been around him, much to Prospector's displeasure at first.
- Because of the nature of the beast that is Rain World's environment, it's often uncertain how much food a slugcat will have access to at any given point. Because of this, Prospector will have Dot eat first whenever it's unclear if there's enough food for the both of them, and will begin eating at the same time as Dottie when there's an obvious abundance of food. Prospec will NEVER begin eating before Dot does.
- Dot is a young Scuppy. Bigger than most others of her age, but still quite small and young. He cannot eat lizard meat very well because of this, and so Prospector will have to gather blue fruit [which are actually bug pupas], batflies, noodlefly offspring, popcorn plants, etc. for Dot to eat. His own diet consists mostly of protein rich lizard meats, but Dottie's own diet is much more diverse and lighter than his.
Also, some smaller things about Prospector, some covered in ref, some not:
- His head is incredibly hard, and is much like a lizard's in regards to its invincibility against normal spears and explosive spears [electric spears will not pierce it, but the electric shock will stun him for roughly five seconds, maybe longer]
- He's ever so slightly magnetic. Some rubble will stick to his body very loosely, which can be good for temporarily holding onto things that can be thrown as distractions, and spears can be stuck to his body to be held as well, although it doesn't have much use beyond those.
- Scugs can swallow things to store them, typically one item. Due to his size, though, Prospector can swallow and store up to four items in his stomach.
- Prospector has the throwing strength of Gourmand [three times the average slugcat strength], and can body slam lizards too. Throwing things at full strength has a fifteen second cooldown, and during this time, items are thrown at average strength.
- Despite having a hard head that is impervious to spear injuries, he still has a hard helmet that helps to protect against them as well. It isn't shown, but typically he will have Dottie wearing it since their head isn't as naturally well protected as his own.
