Monarch review with mild spoilers

Just watched the first two episodes of Monarch and it was surprisingly enjoyable. The CGI is very good, the production is obviously of high budget.

The story telling is balanced. It's not solely focused on humans or monsters. It's balanced.

The actors did a good job and I like every one of them (except for the cheating father). Some of the scenes are heart touching.

The story connects perfectly with the movie verse but you can still enjoy it without watching the movies.

I just find the character of Shaw ( played by Wyatt and Kurt Russell) very interesting. And it's amazing how they sound so similar. I know they're family irl but it's still intriguing.

Overall a good show and I can't wait for more.
