Ectoberhaunt 2022: Order & Chaos

What's this? Two themes working together? Why, yes dear Phandom, this year the opposing sides of our theme will be working together against... foes? We changed it up a little and decided to do prompts only Monday-Friday and left the weekends open as catch up days for you, the creators (and for us on the mod team!). And just like last year, our event ends on the 24th to make way for the Ectober Week event! So this means there are no specific prompts for Oct. 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, 22nd, or 23rd, or the 25th-31st. Please tag all prompt fills as "Ectoberhaunt22", and follow the additional posting guidelines below!

Post Guidelines

The following are the posting guidelines. Please follow them so we can reblog and share your posts without issue. We will also have this as a post available on our blog separately.

Tag all posts with “Ectoberhaunt22” so we can find it. If you do not use this tag, we may not find you.

Tag which calendar you're pulling from (“EH Order” or “EH Chaos”), which day the prompt is for ("Day X"), and which prompt(s) you completed ("Eyes" "Teeth"). Example: #ectoberhaunt22 #EH order #day 5 #banshee

Put your fics under a readmore. Add a summary before the cut with a short preview, content warnings, and which prompts were used. Then, add a readmore no more than 150 words or 10 lines/groups of text under your summary. If you're using mobile, type :readmore: and hit enter to make a readmore. If you do not do this, we will NOT reblog your post.

Make sure to tag all common content warnings (blood, gore, death, drugs, body horror, existentialism, & vermin)!

The coloring competition is officially over!

The submission form is now closed and mods will be getting ready to announce the winners here soon! Keep an eye out for highlights and the shittalking soon to come!

We'll also be releasing the line arts into the wild that line artists okayed for public coloring. So look forward to that if the event turned you Green With Envy~!

Instead of compilation posts this year, there will be a free digital zine coming out (at some point) that will have all the line arts and colors from this year in a single place! Our very own @englandamericaitaly so graciously offered to make it and we're so excited to see the result! Let's give them a huge round of applause!

Awakening Anders Dialogue Tweaks @ Nexus Mods

Updated for the first time in 8 years 🤪

Includes FIXES!!! for mage wardens who are not from the circle mage origin. Anders doesn't recognize them from the circle, they don't have a phylactery, they have a few different dialogue options available, etc.

One of the funniest and most consistent things abt fandom discords to me is hearing people preach about supporting writers and how sad they are they never get comments, and then when you look in the fic channel it’s just people posting snippets and full length fics to complete and utter radio silence

Old ass art and not really that good but I still kinda like it ngl Made this when I was playing the "Clockwork" Skyrim mod, easily my favorite Skyrim mod of all time. The intro horror sequence that kickstarts it all is one of the best horror experiences I've ever played through in like, any game. Might one day remake this artwork if I feel up to it; had a lot of fun drawing the Dwemer automaton in particular!

To be totally transparent re: that last ask, I am kind of a Skyrim quest mod hater, so you do really need to judge stuff for yourself

(that being said, i really dont judge people who use quest mods or whatever i personally dont like)

#i could gripe so much about interesting npcs and i consider that a mod i generally like #also project aho maybe dont get me started on that one i find the story obnoxious #and beyond reach holy hell that had some dumb shit in it #clockwork had a banger intro but oh man did it drag when it had you backtrack #carved brink was fine. very pretty like project aho but with less of the slave stuff #moonpath to elsweyr was pretty janky but no egregious with its lore #whining about mods
