there is SO MUCH negative feedback on the Minecraft help forums and yet no statement has come out, at least from what I've seen. just look at this mess. it's absolutely brutal. this is what it's about.

I fear for anarchy servers like 2B2T and even my own private servers with friends.

I fear for the future of Mojang.

I fear for the future of the game that I grew up with.

I fear for Minecraft.

yall i feel so damn old

not in like, a bad way. its just... my first controversy i was at all a part of online was the LionMaker (who went to jail) situation in middle school. Just the other day that one Zelda cosplayer (@/thefreckledzelda on tiktok) has gotten exposed for everything AND the kitchen sink.

I always get a bad feeling about these things. LionMaker's voice made my skin crawl. I didn't even know what child predation WAS at the time. I thought I was being extremely rude for a good few years until everything came out.

I've been trying to learn to trust my gut, but I worry about being judgemental. I was more judgemental when I was younger so I'm scared of falling back into bad habits, but I SWEAR every time, this just comes back around. Sometimes I'm a bit off, but I'm telling ya'll, LISTEN to your gut!!!

it's both frustrating and deeply funny that skyrim's playability and a massive percentage of its modding infrastructure relies on a single bug patch that happens to have been created by an unbearable prick who we all have to keep putting up with because nobody else wants to do that much work.

#I wouldn't care except that the USSEP has ungodly amounts of feature creep and 'fixes' that were not bugs #(I cite the lynly star-sung controversy and oblivion gates and ALL I WANT IS A PAIR OF BOOTSSS and horribly voice acted dragon dub)#and he blocks anyone who so much as requests a menu to turn the unessential ones off #and goes out of his way to get anyone who dares to make their own patch for those changes removed from the nexus #but it fixes so many things that genuinely are broken and so many mods require it that like. what can you do #in case it wasn't apparent I was suddenly struck by an impulse to get back into skyrim and maybe finish that horse mod #since my minecraft endeavors are dead in the water for now

Hmm, in a bit of a conundrum here. Minecraft has usage guidelines for hand-crafted products, you are allowed to sell 20 units of the same design and can make up to $5,000 a year on Minecraft merch (pretty annoying that you can sell as many Minecraft books as you want but only 20 stickers of original art but bah!!!!! whatever). Now the problem I have is with the same design or "substantially similar" designs. So, like are these

"substantially similar" designs? I think I am probably straddling the line here. The silhouette is the same but I redid all the coloring and shading from the ground up, only using the same original sketch as a base (though I'm not sure that really matters...). Minecraft seems pretty responsive to fans, so I would email to ask for clarification. But this might be a scenario where it's better to ask forgiveness than permission. Being a small shop I would probably skirt under the rader, but I would like to be on Minecraft's good side. They one of the few games companies that have a fan merch policy which is really cool! Maybe abiding by Minecraft's would encourage more companies to implement a fan merch friendly policy!

The plan right now is create a "chicken gacha" of all the colors of chicken from Minecraft Earth (and april fools day designs). But if I can only sell 2 of each design then I don't want to waste my time painting all these chickens. I don't know..... any advice/input?

I get it, please stop complaining. The mobs suck "and Mojang could just add them all!" But that's gonna take even longer! And about the Biome Vote. I don't think Mojang could realistically add a new biome without it clashing with others. Y'all should just shut up and appreciate the fact Mojang is trying to give everybody consistent updates! If you hate it, there's a simple solution:

STOP PLAYING THE GAME.

Some of my controversial MCD opinions/ controversial things I’m putting in my rewrite:

(Blue is opinions, purple is rewrite)

Aaron will be (and should have been) a minor character

Garroth and Laurence will end up together (slow burn/angst) because they had more chemistry with eachother than they ever did with Aphmau

Aphmau doesn’t need a love interest and all her romance will they wont they with Garroth and Laurence was boring and bordering on creepy

Garroth was more of a parental figure to Aphmau’s kids than she was but Aphmau wasn’t a bad mother

Jess makes a lot of her male characters love for Aphmau their entire personalities which is why Laurence got written out (he no longer had a use because Aphmau was with Aaron) and why Dante is a great character (he was never Aphmau’s love interest)

Garroth and Laurence’s biggest fear in Malachi’s mansion being Aphmau kissing Dante was stupid (it would’ve made more sense for it to revolve around their trauma eg: Laurence becoming a shadow knight and Garroth escaping an arranged marriage)

Dante should have killed Gene

Travis’ character should’ve been more than just a pervert because his backstory is so interesting and deserves more focus

Aphmau is aroace

Kawaii~Chan is a walking talking stereotype. Her way of talking was annoying and offensive

Katelyn’s backstory should’ve been explored more and her reasons for joining the Jury Of Nine should’ve been better explained

Zane’s death was stupid and underwhelming

Garroth and Vylad shouldn’t properly reconnect. I think too much had changed from when they last saw eachother for them to be ok with eachother

Dante, KC and Nicole’s relationship drama was annoying (like most of the relationship drama in MCD)

Garroth being pissy incel fit about Laurence and Aphmau ‘kissing’ was a stupid reason for him to join Zane and came out of no where. Garroth wouldn’t betray Aphmau and his entire village just because he couldn’t get with her it was so out of character

Zoey, Kiki and Donna deserve more appreciation because they’re often forgotten. They’re fun characters

Katelyn (should’ve) had to work harder to earn Aphmau’s trust

They should’ve had to have faced off more of the Jury of Nine after Katelyn defected and Zane declared war on Pheonix Drop

Irene’s influence should be more focused on so the reveal that Aphmau was Irene had more impact cuz it kinda sucked like I get Irene is a mystery n all but it made the reveal underwhelming
