There are so many internet and security bills both in place and set to be passed that exist solely to allow for government overreach on our privacy (never forget that this government took advantage of 9/11 to pass the Patriot Act). The more we are aware, the more we can act to prevent invasive bills and reverse harmful existing laws. Know your rights people, they're worth protecting.

Russia and I believe China are allies to Iran
Saudi Arabia and the UAE are allies of the US and western world (oil deals)
Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq all have beef with Israel (I don't know if they're allies with Iran but Israel has been attacking Syria and Lebanon recently)
That's not even getting into the puppet government situation with Hezbollah (Lebanon) and the Houthis (Yemen)
The EU is more diplomatic and hasn't gone out of its way for Ukraine, so I wouldn't expect much there. NATO is militaristic and involves a lot of EU countries, with pacts and agreements to use military force if a member nation is attacked so if Ukraine ever does join NATO that would be something to look out for
Russia attacks Ukraine and occupies a sizeable part of its territory.
Iran is Russia's military ally and supplies drones and rockets Russia uses to attack Ukraine.
Ukraine is the US and EU's military ally.
Israel is the US and EU's military ally.
Iran launches war Israel with multiple rockets and drones.
But nooooooooooo we are not yet in WWIII, nonono - said all the ostriches with their heads in the sand.

Brief Notes from the United Nations Security Council meeting 04/14/2024
Disclaimer: This meeting was called in response to Iran's drone strike of Israel on April 13, 2024, which was a retaliation to Israel's attack on an Iranian embassy in Syria on April 1st.
As I am one person, I was unable to watch the full live broadcast of the meeting, nor did I catch every detail. All are welcome to add any important information I may have missed or clear up any misinformation; my comments, reblogs and anonymous asks are all open for such purposes.
General Notes
-The only nations that condemned Israel fully (that I'm aware of) were Russia, China and Syria. It is worth noting that Russia is an ally of Iran and China, and Syria was previously attacked by Israel, including with the embassy bombing on April 1st
-Every other nation either condemned Iran's drone strike solely or condemned both Iran and Israel for the various attacks occurring in April
Israel
-Israel blamed Iran for global instability
-Israel brought up various crimes and accusations by the Iranian government unrelated to the current conflict (the brutal oppression of women under Iran's morality police for example) to support a point that Iran is to blame for global instability
-Israel accused Iran of training/supplying Hamas and being at fault for October 7 (it is worth noting that when October 7 happened, the US, Iran and Israel themselves confirmed that Iran had no involvement)
-Iran was accused of openly attacking any Israeli ships that crossed the Straight of Hormuz (this is untrue; the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps [IRGC] seized an Israeli-linked cargo ship after the attack on their embassy in Syria)
-Israel called for outright punishment of Iran

-Iran called attention to the attack on their embassy in Syria by Israel and condemned Israel for a massacre in Gaza; specifically the blocking of international aid from entering Gaza, as well as for Israel's breaking of international laws in order to wreak further destruction on Palestine

-Iran calls for punishment on Israel by the United Nations

QSMP Awards 2024 Summarized
-The audio was scuffed for the first half. I don't mean a little crispy. I don't mean with a slight echo. It was fucked in every way imaginable. The audio sounded like it was going through a blender. Then it kept getting too loud, then too quiet (so much so we couldn't hear), all while being way too crispy. Charlie Slimecicle monologued to the audience while the team was trying to fix it but since the audio was both too crispy and too quiet we couldn't actually understand anything he was saying. This carried on for about 7 minutes with him holding two microphones, neither of which was working, before the stream crashed (again)
-All the staff are apparently Cucurucho, with one of them being a "main Cucurucho"
-Missa wore a "Quackity my beloved" shirt. I could not explain to you what the blazer over it was supposed to be.
-Everyone else at the ceremony was shown through discord call. I'm convinced Charlie has never seen German or Lenay's faces cause he did not know it was them until Quackity said their names
-The screen was supposed to switch between showing all the people on the discord and it kept switching between the same four people. If I have to hear Q, Charlie and Missa chant "Foolish" or "Pol" ever again-
-Mariana showed up and Charlie immediately went into bitter ex mode. He also hit on Mariana. Multiple times.
-We got a patented Ironmouse "coño" and chat lost their shit over Luzu existing, as expected
-Mariana looked like Michael Jackson, Bad's background could've been the set of Breaking Bad, Roier had a ski mask, lots of people learned what Lenay, German and Vegetta's looked like for the first time, and Mike had a kawaii filter
-Somehow Bad didn't even get nominated for Best Cucurucho Jumpscare, showing that even non-red carpet events can produce award snubs (congrats to Bagi!)
-Though I yearned for Maximus getting nominated for his Eh Vegetta prank, we all knew the win had to go to Vegetta for the mines
-The audio eventually became bearable but the echo never fully left. At some point there were like three or four overlaps of Vegetta giving his acceptance speech
-Acau won for Best Death from getting killed by an enderman (in my heart Foolish's accidental death by Pomme's sniper that got him eliminated from the elections won, but we did get Quackity dying to a fly as a nom so I feel complete. Also congrats to Acau!)
-The Qsmp shop is officially open! We got eggie merch :]
-Quackity forgot to roll clips for the Best Purgatory 2 Moment nominees and almost read out the winner before we got the montage (Wuant won! It was the clip of him being told he lost and he accidentally did a flip. They weren't able to get the acceptance speech on stream so we saw it from Quackity's phone)
-Funniest QSMP Moment nominees were all fucking hilarious, its hard to pick just one but Maxo winning for when he respawned after a lore-heavy moment in Pierre's bed to his own moans being remixed into a song absolutely deserved the win
-Saddest QSMP Moment was unnecessary and the admins will be hearing from my lawyers for making me relive Dapper's first lost life, Dia de los Muertos and the end of Purgatory 1 (Jaiden and Roier saying bye to Bobby won, Roier changed his screen to black and white and held up what looked like a mini Cucurucho being used as a cross)
-Best QSMP Original Song was played prematurely when the category was Best Language Exchange, and we got a spoiler for the winner (YD and Hugo's exchange won and YD's audio was muted so we just saw her Vtuber model getting excited)
-The aforementioned Best Qsmp Original Song had Gordinho Gostosinho looping aggressively over Charlie singing the Juanaflippa song, which I hope to god gets clipped cause it was hilarious (I'm glad the Roier and Cucurucho rap got nominated). Charlie was very confused why they had him announce his own win.
-Best PVP unsurprisingly went to Etoiles for his colosseum Code fight, after all he is the Best🔥 (the other noms were great too, we had Philza vs Tubbo in Purgatory, Bad and Maxo eliminating El Quackity from the elections, and a cute sparring session between Pac and Richas)
-Best Qsmp Fails went to Fit for that time Pac's internet cut out during their date (of course he bragged about his Brasilian boyfriend after learning he won for best loser)(also if it was up to me Quackity's fly deaths would've been added to this category just sayin')
-The audio problems were revealed to have been roleplay the entire time. Yep. All part of the lore.
-Speaking of, most of the winners who were in the discord call could not be heard so they had to give speeches through Quackity holding his phone up to the mic
-Best Roleplayer went to Roier for his Doied arc (the screen prematurely showed him before they could read the announcement, and his speech was him kissing the camera)
-Worst Server House went to Mariana accompanied with the classic clip of him reacting to the admins roasting his started base; Mariana was part of the discord call but left at some point so he couldn't give a speech, to which Charlie jumped on the opportunity to roast his absence like a shark smelling blood (they rightfully nominated Quackity for his clip of Acau reacting to his failure of a starter house, and apparently Carre's base is just his bed on a dirt plot)
-Most Iconic Clip went to Pac for stealing the Qsmp Logo (the other lovely noms included Foolish and co. accidentally closing their house door after a creeper came in an attempt to shut it out, and Tina reacting to a mob giving Felps a blowjob)
-The Most Bankrupt Islander went to Niki for being broke, we stan (during the nom montage we got a passa tudo mention)
-The Creator Who Spent the Most Time on the Server Award went to Bad, which was shocking to no one, although they did use his Barbie Girl clip for the nom montage (they also used Fit wearing a wig for his clip)
-The Qsmp cake for the one year anniversary had the text "FELICIDADES ALBERTO". We do not know who Alberto is. Pol was losing it.
-Tubbo won for The Creator With the Most Deaths (106), while The Creator With Fewest Deaths went to Philza (he only had 1!). Philza was able to be heard through stream but the hosts didn't know this so they would hear him from Quackity's phone and repeat what he was saying even though we could hear him
-Everytime the camera cut back to the hosts Charlie, Quackity and Missa had more cake on their faces
-Most Distance Traveled (in Minecraft) went to Etoiles (6,000+ km jfc)
-Creator With the Most Mob Kills went to Pierre (162,960 mob kills. what the fuck.)
-They accidentally read the award for Creator With the Most Damage Taken (Foolish) during the Best Builder announcement, confusing the shit out of everyone, especially cause the screen showed Mike instead of Foolish. I am still unclear who won Best Builder
-Creator With the Most Blocks Placed went to Mike!!! (MIKE WIN VAMBORAAAAAAAAAAA🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷)
-We had to uncomfortably sit through Missa feeding Charlie cake (and just Charlie in general)
-There was an In Memorium segment of the passed eggs (Quackity shat on a grieiving Charlie for Flippa only lasting 11 days, but in Charlie's words, "to you it was 11 days; to her it was a lifetime"). Charlie commentated and had nothing to say about Trump because he didn't know jack shit about Trump (though he did make a wall joke which is exactly what Maxo would have wanted godbless🙏)
-The stream ended with the discord people saying goodbye, while Roier was holding up the mini Cucuruchos and didn't move the entire time. I know he wasn't frozen because he blinked.
-Maxo sent in his acceptance speech video last minute and Quackity hyped it up as a mysterious final entry but Charlie guessed it was Maxo and spoiled it on accident
-Speaking of, Maxo's entry was him walking around heaven looking for Trump </3
-Charlie gave a heartfelt speech about the people he met through the Qsmp, all while looking like ate out frosty the snowman <3. Missa simpy thanked Alberto (we still do not know who Alberto is)
-Tubbo wasn't present in the discord call because he thought him streaming meant he couldn't join. After the stream Quackity called and Tubbo realized he was allowed to join the whole time
-We ended on a montage of various moments, with a message of excitement looking forward to the next year!

I think in all the drama people are forgetting that a woman came forward about her abuse when no one else in the community did. They all could've had justifiable reasons, but it just goes to show how brave Shelby is for doing it.
I saw a post saying that the community is stronger now with one less abuser in it, and that its safer for the people like Shelby who were abused in it. She did that, both making it safer for her fellow CCs and for future CCs who could have been hurt. Her and her community should be damn proud, and I'm proud of the support we've had for both her and victims of abuse. Thank you Shelby.

Its annoying the hell out of me that people are doomscrolling through old clips and vods to find "evidence" of Wilbur abusing people. The other CCs in those clips might not have wanted the whole internet speculating on what could have been traumatic experiences for them, something they might not have ever wanted to discuss publicly, or at least should have been able to talk about themselves without the pressure of the internet. Some of those CCs might not have even fully realized how uncomfortable/manipulated they were in their relationships with Wilbur, and now they're realizing it because everyone on Twitter it sharing clips and speculating before they can even process it, much less decide if its something they wanted to be known publicly. And I can imagine it being annoying if someone never had a bad relationship with Wilbur and now everyone is labeling them a victim of abuse when not everyone who knows someone toxic/abusive is a victim of it; sometimes its more complicated than that.
guys, let's not speak for tommy. although i get looking back at "signs," and i also can't help but feel bad for tommy, his story is his, not ours. we can be concerned, and we have every right to be concerned, but being intrusive isn't helping him. what will help him is listening to him when he's ready to speak.

It also brings up the very real fact that with many manipulators/abusers, there is no evidence to be found. So many of them don't display any signs of what they're doing outside of what they do to victims, and its the reason so many victims are terrified to speak out; because they know its their word against everyone's positive perception of the abuser. Its why the whole "believe victims" mentality exists, because we know many cases of abuse don't have obvious signs besides what we're hearing from the victim, and often that's the only evidence we really have. If no past vods or clips of Wilbur displaying manipulative/abusive behavior existed, it would only be Shelby's word against his, and that alone should be enough for us to take the situation seriously.
i've been talking about this with friends over discord but i really need to say it publicly that i think it is entirely unproductive to sift through years of old video footage to look for signs that wilbur was and is an abuser or run his statement through (very inaccurate) AI detectors to argue that a human didn't write it when it's just your average lawyered corpospeak
i think a lot of people, especially younger people in this fandom, feel blindsided and want to find some kind of secret damning evidence that was hiding in plain sight that they missed but that's just not how abuse works most of the time. abusers are people that can and often are perfectly pleasant to most people. there isn't some secret trick to detecting them around you. and while a lot of what we've seen can be recontextualized knowing what we know, it helps absolutely no one to work ourselves into a frenzy to pull out of context clips to paint a narrative of victimhood on every single person he's ever interacted with. there's stuff he's done on camera in the past that we can be uncomfortable with especially knowing what we know now but it is revisionist to act like the same acts people cooed over and called 'brotherly' 2 weeks ago are suddenly smoking guns of abuse.
wilbur is not some disney supervillain who is rotten down to his core he's a human person who definitely wrote or got his team to write his shitty apology and definitely manipulated the people around him but there isn't some film reel of his abuse that we can play or people can look to to say they somehow knew he was a bad person all along
we have actual stories from actual victims to uplift and focus on, we don't need to dig for more things and slap a victim label on people who have not come forward to do so themselves and if they do come forward we can support them then but for the love of god can we stop circulating clips of wilbur and tommy's staged antics or wilbur yelling during mcc
all my love to shelby shubble and everyone else who is affected by this man's actions and is now being exposed to some of the most infuriating discourse conceivable. and fuck that man sincerely.

This is the reason I will always advocate for people to keep up their old works and not delete it (should they be emotionally ok with decision). For so many, CCs and their characters and music is what got people through dark times, but its a unique experience to have fellow fans sharing in it right along side you. Listening to and hyperfixating on a character or band where the content comes only from the source is so incredibly different than engaging in fanart, fanfics, clips, posts, and anything that comes from a whole community around your interest. It can be heartbreaking when something you loved falls apart and the community you engaged in turns away from it entirely; its a very lonely feeling, especially if you're not ready to move on from it. That fanfic or fanart you made could be something very comforting and grounding for people in the community who is still processing it all, so if you're in a situation like this and keeping your work up isn't too painful for you, I really you encourage you to reconsider deleting it. Its why I refuse to delete my old content around people like Wilbur; I never know if someone looks back on it for comfort the same way I do.

That being said, it’s concerning and saddening seeing how many extremely talented artist and fanfic writers I’ve seen talk about possibly purging all of their work related to Wilbur/Lovejoy. Wilbur is an abuser. He’s a bad person and none of us could’ve known till now. But I know the fan works were created from a place of love and joy. It’s so unfair that because of a CC’s terrible actions people have felt like their relationship to their art has been ruined. And I know for some people that’s it’s completely ruined, and they just can’t look at all their fanart fanfic the same but I want to urge people (at least the writers) to consider orphaning their works instead of deleting them if you absolutely don’t want yourself associated with him. I’ve seen other people suggest rewriting Wilbur out of fics or replacing him with an OC too. The artists shouldn’t feel like the have to delete all their work either. No one should feel retroactively ashamed for any fanworks they’ve created.
I’m truly of the belief that fanwork is a manifestation of joy and can bring together people in a community.
Wilbur has done enough damage. He’s hurt Shelby and many others. Has broken our trust. We shouldn’t allow him to rob us of the joy fanworks have given us as well.

I'm going to start this off with saying it hurts. It fucking hurts. It hurts so, so much, and there's parts of me that still desperately want to look for a way out, to make him not the bad guy, but there isn't one.
Wilbur Soot is a fucking asshole. A piece of absolute trash, and it hurts. Because I've looked up to him for so many years now. He's been such an inspiration and comfort in my life, from dealing with issues I have myself, and giving me all the more reason to stay here. And now he's turned out to be like this. To anyone who's been following what I reblog about him, it's conflicting, because my thoughts seem to change by the minute. But I'm hoping in saying this I can clear my head and make a definite decision.
I will never be supporting Wilbur ever again. No matter how much better he gets, I don't care. What he did was unexcusable, and if you think otherwise, you can fuck off of my blog. His "apology" wasn't an apology, and for the most part all he did was defend himself. The responses from other content creators have pushed me to agree that yes, fuck Wilbur. He's an ass. I think I've stated this a couple times.
What he did to them, especially Niki and Tommy was inexcusable as well from what we know, and since Tommy is going on tour in about a week (if he's still going/up to it) PLEASE no one harass him with questions, or how he feels. Please, just leave him alone. I'm sure it's a lot to process for him too- even more than us.
I've seen some posts saying how we should be angry at other content creators for not speaking out sooner, but some of them have hinted at it/tried. And others haven't known enough, or didn't want to start causing something against him. The same reason Shelby didn't want to say his name. Maybe they couldn't. Please leave them alone.
The last thing I would like to say, is maybe controversial. If you disagree with me, I don't care, this is purely my opinion.
You can still enjoy his character. Your stories, your artwork, all that you've done with it. Don't feel bad about keeping it up, because that's yours now. You've worked so hard on it, and cared for that character so much that it's become far more yours than his. In regards to his music, I know his songs have provided a lot of us with comfort, including me. It's going to be really hard for me to stop listening to something I loved, but I'm going to make the effort- especially with his solo albums. Also, please don't harass the other members of Lovejoy. From what we know, they're lovely people, and if you're going to stop listening to them, great, do that, but don't harass them. Please. And if you do choose to listen to them, there's ways you can listen to music without supporting him- in my opinion covers are the best way to do that, but that one is up to you.
To wrap this up, I'd just like to say...please don't send death threats, or threats in general to anyone involved in this situation- including Wilbur. Leave them alone. Please.
This is subject to change if we get more information, but for now and the foreseeable future, this is my stance. I wish everyone hugs and comfort. This sucks. I'm sorry.

Gonna throw my hat into the ring here, as someone who very recently had a streamer they loved and supported go down for serious allegations and crimes. Feel free to skip around my long ass response, I'll break it down into parts:
---Public Reception
Part of the reason I despise these situations is because people online don't ever know enough to make 100% accurate assessments, but will act like they do anyway (I don't care if its authoritarian, I want a bill where people on Twitter can't post about drama until after at least 5 minutes of being forced to critically think). Having said that, here's my opinions on how everything should go forward:
-Shelby shared her story in order to spread awareness on domestic abuse and the signs, so that others can read those signs and keep themselves safe (or leave an actively abusive situation they've been convincing themselves isn't that bad). That is the priority here, that is what people should be focusing on. If you make this situation about stirring drama with the other CCs, you're a dumbass and you need to stop posting. Give support to Shelby, uplift the voices of women like her sharing their stories, spread awareness on what domestic abuse can look like so everyone can learn, and wait for more information. Its that simple.
-CCs don't owe statements for conflicts they weren't involved in. Philza, Tommy, Quackity, Charlie, and other CCs close to Wilbur who aren't part of this don't owe you an explanation. They're people, they're most likely having to come to terms with the fact that a dear friend, someone who could've been like family, isn't who they thought he was. Have a fucking heart and cut it with the parasocial entitlement. I'm hoping Quackity will remove Wilbur from the Qsmp, but just like with Forever, he probably won't make a big announcement of it, and that's perfectly ok. I understand wanting to make sure you're not supporting a CC who would defend someone guilty of committing domestic abuse, but its still not your right to get anything from these people. If they share, they share. If not, then they don't. If you can't handle that, then leave.
-Having said the above, its worth noting that CCs aren't just a fun group of friends, they're coworkers. Much of what they say publicly and when they say it can be shaped or restricted by situations that can affect their careers or get them in legal trouble. You don't know these people personally or what goes on behind the scenes, its a network and you can't measure their responses the same way you would your own opinion piece. The CCs will always need to be careful about how they respond to an issue, and they will most likely respond in "safe" ways considering what's on the line. Not accusing anyone of anything, nor demonizing them for it, just something to keep in mind. They're human, but they're also working a job.
-If you have Lovejoy or Wilbur-related merch, DON'T THROW IT AWAY OR DESTROY IT. I've seen lots of people pointing out merch can be donated to thrift shops or shelters, and its more eco-friendly than burning or trashing. Remember, anything can be repurposed; a book, a hoodie, there's always someone who can find a use for it. Likewise if you want to keep your old merch, that's fine to. You can wear it if it brings you comfort, or if its something you just like the look of. As long as you're not supporting the source, you already have the merch so don't let people pressure you into thinking you're bad for keeping it if you're not ready to let go/throw away those $70.
---My Opinion Regarding His Response
Everyone and their cousin has been dogpiling on Wilbur's response (rightfully), but I think people online don't understand how public responses work when there's legal team and PR interference. The tweet for me had a weird lack of personal touch and emotion from the guy I've observed to be very personal in his writings, whether its his music or a community post about a life update (blah blah parasociality I know, but I'm letting you know the observations I've made of his behavior simply as someone who notices these things). He also never explicitly stated Shelby's name, rather saying "that person" (you even had the textbook 'black text on a blank white background' screenshotted response). Finally, there was a consistent standing on Wilbur 'not being aware of how the other person really felt' regarding his actions. What I'm trying to say is... y'all really gotta start putting two and two together. Its a textbook PR response. As in, I'd be surprised if Wilbur had over 50% involvement in making it because the wording is exactly how it reads when a response has been initiated by someone's lawyers rather than themselves. The reason he doesn't take more accountability and openly admit to having abused Shelby (other than the obvious public backlash) is probably cause his lawyers are banking on the feigning ignorance angle, that Wilbur didn't intentionally abuse Shelby and was ignorant to how his actions affected her. Its the best way to get him out of hot water on the legal side, because again, this isn't messy drama; its a genuine accusation of a crime. I don't think the response is tone deaf and unaware, I think its a deliberate and measured legal move not even fully created by Wilbur himself. This isn't to say I think he's innocent, but I do know that Shelby and others have brought up some serious accusations, and Wilbur is lawyering up as a result.
---Nuance
Prefacing this part by saying that things are not looking good for Wilbur in regards to what other CCs have brought up about him, and I fully believe and support Shelby, hence why I support that the community should start distancing from him and his work. But I would like to take this opportunity to look into the greater aspects at play. We are within a system that brings up men to do what they want without teaching them to be considerate and aware of the consequences. Men are taught their harmful behavior is perfectly fine, often at women's expense, which makes these situation a very different story depending on who's telling it. Its because of this that we need to critically analyze the system and how it causes men to turn out as they do, instead of giving an immediate opinion without any nuance.
There's a possibility that Wilbur is being genuine in not realizing how bad his actions were. There's a possibility he truly is a manipulative liar who knew exactly what he was doing. He could be a piece of shit. He could be genuinely trying to improve and do better. We don't know. I'd say its pretty cut and dry that he hurt Shelby, and for that I'm glad she's getting justice for herself and spreading awareness. But if we're to entertain the idea of redemption, we need to look at situations like these with nuance so that we can understand the "why". I'm not trying to justify Wilbur's actions or even give him the benefit of the doubt, I have no idea what's going on in that guy's head. I'm just putting this out there because its something I want everyone to think about, especially when it comes to topics regarding narcissism and mental health issues. Don't support him or Lovejoy, just keep something like this in mind for the future.
---The Community/Now Displaced Fans
To everyone who's immediately telling Wilbur's fans (the ones that don't support his actions and are actively mourning no longer being able to enjoy his stuff) to just listen to other music or move on, and who are celebrating each negative new thing that comes out about Wilbur's current status, sincerely, shut the fuck up. You are completely lacking in empathy or emotional intelligence, and what you're doing is the last thing the community needs. Wilbur and his work could have and for many did get fans through some of their hardest moments, and losing that wonderful sense of community you get from streamers and their work (especially with the roleplay stuff) is awful. It fucked me up losing that after almost a year, for some of his fans its been even longer.
If you're a (former) fan of his, its ok to feel like shit. We're human, we get attached and we grieve losing something like this because that's how capable we are of loving. Take your time, as long as you know where to stand (supporting Shelby and raising awareness on domestic abuse), you're doing good. You can keep enjoying his characters and work and making content about it, separating the art from the artist (though don't stream his music from platforms that would give him the money, find a way to pirate it).
This sucks. I feel it as a casual fan who was once hugely into his content, I can imagine what its like for those who were huge supporters all the way up until now. You didn't do anything wrong supporting someone you thought was a good person, its just a thing that happens and its so fucking shitty. You ain't alone though, I know some of you have that knee-jerk reaction to avoid anything to do with him but reaching out to others in the community and actually processing it all is way better, you won't be bottling it all up. Don't be afraid to continue engaging with this part of your life until you're ready to move on from it in your own time, and be kind to yourself. From someone who went through exactly what you are now, trust me, you'll get through it.

Couldn't have said it better myself, and if he does end up in those books, we get to be the ones to brag about how we were here from the beginning👏
No cause I know we've said this 50 times already but this is incredible. Tina, Mike and Acau were having a full, fluent conversation with the translator at nearly the same rate as when people speak to each other in a shared language (you could legit not even realize none of them were speaking the same language if you're zoned out), all while Tina spoke english, Mike spoke portuguese and Acau spoke Korean. This is insane, they were talking so efficiently and there was rarely any translation confusion! Since pretty much everyone on the server speaks english and has been speaking in english to bridge the language barrier we haven't really seen as much of what the translator can do, but today it was absolutely paying off and showing us that communication through language barriers is possible if you're willing to put in the effort the way Quackity and his team have. Its so incredibly wonderful that I can watch a Korean streamer and understand everything that's going on with the corner subtitles, and that the other streamers can have full conversations with them in real time using the translator.
In the beginning it was about getting people from different cultures to meet and share their experiences, then we had these people and the community learning each others' languages until you had Brasilians and Mexicans speaking in their native tongues and being able to understand each other. Now we've achieved people with a complete language barrier and no knowledge of each others' languages being able to communicate over that barrier with ease. I'm so damn proud to be part of this community and experiencing this bridging of cultures, and to be able to bask in the joy of seeing my own culture represented here for so many to enjoy. This is a wonderful project, and I can't wait to see what's next for us on the Qsmp

Exactly👏 Some stereotypes can kinda hold true but always to an extent, and most stereotypes get taken very literally and erase all the nuance from what people are actually like. Good rep comes when you can see all the nuances and all that a country has to offer, so when the pressure isn't on one person to uphold a standard they can just be themselves, the most authentic form of representation there is
Jungryeok being an extrovert is so funny to me because in the west there's a bit of a stereotype of Koreans being very shy and quiet (Acau and Tina sometimes fit this but I'd argue its cause of nervousness and them being put next to Latines who are literally Extrovert Supreme) and then here comes the new guy with a steel chair and a voice level that can rival Tubbo calling the creator of the server trash and doing kickflips with Baghera two minutes after meeting her
