when finn and jake establish that they get their meat from meat man its logical to assume hes some sort of fantasy butcher until finn asks "do you think it hurts him when we take his meat?" revealing hes MADE of meat and they eat him. and it only gets WORSE when jake replies "i dont know i cant read his mind" implying he cant even voice whether or not hes in pain. but they still eat him.

As much as it isn't fun to hear Jon yelling at Martin, the end part of Mag 56 is so hilarious to me.

Listen, there is NO evidence to support Martin's claim about lying on his CV, and frankly it's kind of a weak cover story. You are required to show proof of your qualifications when you get a new job on the strength of them - not to mention ID - and even though on a relisten we know Martin's telling the truth and that Elias has his own reasons for hiring Martin, Jon doesn't know any of that. There's nothing to back up Martin's story and given how paranoid Jon's been since Prentiss, not to mention the fact that his specific concerns about Martin were that he might be hiding his own cunning behind the image of someone bumbling and soft (Jonathan "right for the wrong reasons" Sims strikes again) it is wild to me that he accepts this so quickly.

It's almost as though he's eager for Martin to be innocent, even though everything he's previously said about him would indicate that he'd rather it was Martin than Tim or Sasha, the assistants he respects professionally and likes on a personal level. It's so easy to picture him just blue-screening while poor Martin sits there expecting to be fired/screamed at again.

Consistently shocked by the idea that people think Bradley Rooster Bradshaw is chill and laid back. He’s actually shockingly unchill. He is the opposite of chill. He did not inherent any of his parents chillness. He’s a loser who’s too invested in everything.

Like ya hi I’m Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw and I cut off my remaining family, surrogate father, and support system for 15 years cuz he pulled my naval academy papers because he didn’t want me to die like my biological father and because my mother wanted me to be free of the navy’s confinements and to exist outside of a system that physically uses me for their own power and political gains— gains I will never experience and feel for myself. A system that sees me as no more than a number, a soldier, something easily replaceable, as a body to be sacrificed in a war that i did not start nor will i finish.

Although I pictured Jude a certain way (physically) while reading the books, it really doesn't make much difference to the romance aspect of the trilogy. They didn't struggle with their feelings because Jude was ugly/plain/gorgeous. They struggled because their stations in the social hierarchy were polar opposites, yet they both resented each other. Cardan was a prince who saw his station as a play. He had no support network, his guardian beat him for fun, his friends were just using his birthright to get away with being turds. When Jude looked at him, she saw a spoiled prince who did whatever pleased him, blessed with being born into it and reminding her she would never be like them. And then Jude, who saw herself as human/weak/lesser than. Who spent 10 years letting insults slide and hiding under tables in hopes of raising enough in the hierarchy to - even if not truly belong there - at least be left the fuck alone. Cardan looked at her and saw the General's favoured daughter, raised as Gentry, never in rags or forgotten if she were to sleep on stables. Jude reminded Cardan what he did not have despite being a prince.

honestly edwin's obliviousness about what was happening to charles is something I could talk about for ages.

there's so many sides to it, first the fact that it could be just edwin's autism showing cuz he couldn't see through charles' façade and in the other hand charles was.not making it easy, he was trying really hard not to let a single thing filter because he had to be the kind one, the happy one.

but im sure edwin never actually demanded that from him in the first place, but the truth is that charles doesn't need someone expressing that demand to him directly, why? because he's an abused child, he is still afraid and angry, and above all, he is hurt and of course, he is trying to hold on to the little peace he has with edwin, and he's trying to be strong, not to be a burden; and that means avoiding conflict, avoiding hard conversations, or even facing his own emotions cause perhaps the pain is going to be too much for him to handle it in silence.

also, let's remember that edwin comes from a time in which men were not used to really talk about their emotions (and honestly even now most men are not taught how to do that); lato sensu, for him, friendships rarely revolve around talking about what's truly hurting him or the other person involved (not that edwin had many friends when he was alive), add to the mixture his natural difficulty to deal with feelings and the fact they always had something else to distract themselves with...
