Reader Description: he/they, masculine titles, early 20s.
Pairings: Wanda Maximoff x Masculine!Reader
A/n: So this was inspired while I was playing around in Character.ai (I was being delulu as usual), so I guess shoutout to the creator of Mature!Wanda ai for kickstarting my brain again. I haven't write in a while guys pls be nice :')
Warnings: No warnings for now actually, maybe sadge Wanda, Wanda lowkey being bullied.
Summary: Years have passed since Westview and Wanda finally has the chance to settle down and live the normal she had always yearned for. However, that comes with a challenge as many were still wary of her. Along the way she met a young man in his early 20s, whom took pity on the witch despite all odds.
ᗢ----------ᗢ
It was a huge deal when rumors spread about the infamous Scarlet Witch moving into their town. The same witch that brought upon destructions and chaos, the one who enslaved a whole town. The one that the Dracula from Hotel Transylvania would describe as,
"-Nutsy Cuckoo!" Y/n snorted at their friend's description of the witch, "She's a total nutjob, I'm telling you. She went berserk for kids she DIDN'T even have."
"And afterwards went after a child, no, a literal CHILD!" Their other friend added, "Who happens to be America Chavez, who ended up teaming up with her as well. Hence why she's able to even live freely back into society."
"That's crazy..." Y/n said while shaking his head. The were all sitting their usual cafe, gossiping about their latest neighbor.
"I heard she lives across the street from you. Hey, at least she's a hot MILF right?" Their friend Magdalena joked, which made her receive a cookie thrown at her face.
"Shut up, Lena." She only snorted. As both of his friends were snickering, the two of them stopped and their eyes trailed something behind him.
"What?"
"Speak of the devil..." Victor said as he had a little bit of a disgusted look.
Y/n turned around, and there she was. The Scarlet Witch. She hasn't been seen on any media for the past few years, the last time she was seen, she had a long auburn hair, and was wearing her suit. The look she had right now was a striking contrast to her last appearance on the media.
She had cut her hair, it was now dyed blonde, and she was wearing a casual civilian clothes. Y/n felt shivers running down their spine as painful memories flooded his mind.
"She really wants to be normal, huh?" Victor said under his breath.
"I mean... she's kinda-" Victor elbowed Magdalena on her ribs before she could finish her sentence. Giving her a look that says 'don't'.
The whole cafe went silent when she entered the shop, she awkwardly said 'hi' before making her way to the queue. Everything else was a little bit of a blur for Y/n, as for some reason their heart started beating rapidly. Their fist clenched to the point his friend had to snap him out of his thoughts.
"I'm fine." Y/n responded with a faux smile before focusing his attention outside the window. He couldn't help but to focus on Wanda's voice when she ordered.
"I would like something to drink please." He heard Wanda speak, there was a beat of silence.
"Coffee? Tea?" The barista responded, soundingly uninterested and rude. Seems like the Barista wasn't a huge fan of Wanda, as normally the Barista was always so kind to Y/n and his friends.
"O-oh! Coffee, please." Another silence, "Cappucino, hot."
"That'll be $4.50." She could be heard rummaging through her purse and took out a some money to pay.
"I'm assuming you would need my name-"
"We know." The barista said rather coldly. Wanda could be heard clearing her throat nervously and waited for her order. It didn't take long before they called out, "Cappucino for Scarlet Witch."
Y/n glances at the bar, they noticed how tense she was upon hearing her title. The title she wishes everyone would forget. She gave a forced smile before turning and walking back to the exit. Seems like she was nervous, and then the worst possible thing could happen to someone happened to her...
Her purse got stuck on the door handle as she was about to walk out, causing her to spill her beverage. "Shit!" She cursed.
Y/n's two friends couldn't handle their snort upon seeing the tragedy. Wanda glances at them and awkwardly laughs, "Silly me." She says before hastily walking away from the shop.
"She is just adapting well to us mere mortals." Victor said sarcastically.
As much as Y/n wasn't exactly fond of the witch (for personal reasons), they did felt... a hint of sympathy towards her. He looked outside and saw her seemingly cursing at herself for the embarrassing encounter at the cafe.
Oh she's going to take a while to adapt...
ᗢ----------ᗢ
Y/n looked down at the notes their sister sent them and walked down the aisle to find the item. What seem to be a simple errand turned into a full blown grocery shopping, that bitch.
I just wanted to buy some ramen...
He picked up a bunch of items his sisters needed, and picked a pack of ramen for himself. While he was on the cereal section he heard that familiar voice again.
"Hi, ma'am, do you know where I could- O-oh, yes, that's alright have a good day!" He turns his attention to her direction, from the customers to the staff, they were all ignoring her existence. She visibly sighed and gave up on asking people. That's... what she deserves I guess.
He only saw her again as he was about to pay, they were queued just behind her. Crap.
"Sorry ma'am, we take cash only, the machine is broken at the moment." The cashier told her.
"I... I don't have any cash on me right now." She nervously laughs, "Are you sure? Because the customer before-"
"Look if you don't have cash you can pay with apple pay." Seems like the cashier just wanted to torment her, which she did as Wanda sighed in frustration.
"I don't- I don't have that set up on my phone yet." The cashier only shrugged their shoulders. "Fine. How much was-"
"$27.60" Wanda started rummaging through her purse again, desperately trying to find some cash left. She found... $5, ok that's a start. $10, ok we're getting there.
"Hey come on, lady! You're holding up the line!" The guy behind Y/n yelled, making Wanda panic slightly. Y/n closed his eyes, ugh fuckin-
They opened their eyes again, and Wanda was still hastily searching her bag as people got increasingly annoyed at her. They closed their eyes, agh Jesus fucking christ I better go to heaven for this-
"Ok, is there any-" Wanda's sentence was cut off when hand puts down a $50 dollar bill to pay for her checkout.
"You can just pay me back later." Wanda wanted to refuse, but she internally sighed in relief. The cashier gave Y/n the change and Wanda thanked them with the brightest smile. "Don't mention it." They said giving her a polite smile.
As Wanda walked out of the store, she took another glance at the young boy and smiled to herself. She made a mental note to find the youth later on.
ᗢ----------ᗢ
They didn't understand why they had to be so sympathetic to the psycho witch, especially after everything she had put them through. Everyone was doing just fine ignoring her presence, in fact, Y/n had the biggest right out of them all to ignore that crazy, wacko, mentally unstable-
"There you are!"
A familiar voice made Y/n whipped their head to the direction. Oh no... Don't tell me she thinks we're basically friends now. Wanda walked up to him with a smile, Y/n had a natural instinct to tense up. Just the sight of her, made him clenched his jaw.
"I just wanted to properly say thank you." She said, rubbing her hand nervously. She wore a simple red t-shirt, and jeans. Wanda looked like any normal civilian. If you had lived in a cave, unaware of the outside world, the idea that Wanda is capable of such chaos and destruction wouldn't cross your mind. "And uh... for your trouble."
Wanda then handed him cash of what she owes him. He looked at the money and then her. "This is.... $30"
"Oh you can keep it all." The witch said with a slight shake in her voice, she then cleared her throat. "U-unless you prefer it to be precise I can-" She pulled out her phone from her pocket. "I can use that uh... that app, Vimeo?"
Y/n couldn't help but to let out a chuckle, "Venmo. Vimeo is a like a... it's like Youtube." Am I really talking with this lady?
"Ah... Right, right, I... I knew that." She looked at her phone with confused look on her face. Wanda then let out a soft laugh. "Well imagine my confusion."
"Well, thank you. I could definitely use the extra $2." Y/n said with a smile.
"I should be thanking you." Wanda responded, she bit her lip slightly, wanting to continue the conversation with what it seems like the only person who sees her as a human. "I'm Wanda, by the way, Wanda Maximoff." She hold out her hand awkwardly.
"I uhm- I'm your new neighbor, but I- I'm sure you knew that already." She let out a nervous laugh.
Y/n didn't want to talk to the witch any longer than needed, sharing name would mean they were on first name basis. But if there's anything Y/n hated more... Being left hanging when you hold out your had.
"Y/n, nice to meet you, Wanda."
Wanda noticeably beamed at the fact that they didn't just brushed her off.
"Well I should be heading back. I live just across from you." Shit! Why did I say that??
"Oh then I hope to see more of you!" Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuckity-
"Yeah, see you around, Mrs. Maximoff." He said politely, giving her a smile and crossed the street to his house. He internally cursed at himself. Idiot!
Wanda turned around smiling to herself. I made a friend...
---
For the next few weeks, Wanda never fails to greet them whenever she happens to see Y/n pass. She did that to everyone, of course, but no one ever really bothers to respond. Y/n desperately wanted to avoid her, but it was difficult as she continuously try to interact with everyone. Which... to be honest was quite sad.
He doesn't know why he felt bad, but seeing the woman trying so desperately to join society and no one giving her a chance was such a depressing sight to see. Not that Y/n should care, she shouldn't have done what she did. But...
Ugh... It doesn't take much for him to be polite at least.
So Y/n started to return her polite greetings. Whenever he sees her watering her flowers, she greet him with a wave and a smile. And Y/n does the same. They had to admit, seeing her so happy that someone responded was... kind of cute.
Eugh...
It went on for a while, so you could say they were on a friendly term. And Y/n had no plans on furthering that relationship. At least by choice.
"Hi there, Y/n!" She greeted with her usual smile and wave. It had been about 2 months since she lived here. "How's your morning jog?"
"Hi, Mrs. Maximoff. Uh... It was alright, nice weather today."
"I agree. Say, you fancy joining a party? I'm having a housewarming party this evening, you should come. There will be plenty of food." She asked with hopeful eyes.
"Uh..." Say no, say no, what the fuck are you- SAY NO. "I'll have to see, ma'am. I have a pretty packed schedule today."
Wanda tried to hide her disappointment as much as she could. She had heard tons of those excuses for days now, at least he was polite about his rejection. "That's alright, darling! I'm just across the road if you change your mind. And feel free to bring some friends!"
"I'll keep that in mind, Mrs. Maximoff. See you around!" Y/n said before going back to their house. They leaned on the closed door and sighed. Their sister looked at them expectantly.
"She invited you as well?" She said with a raised eyebrow.
Y/n sighed before answering, "Yeah..."
"I don't know why she even bothers. Not like anyone would take her up for it." His sister said dismissively as she went back to the living room, settling on the couch.
Y/n joins her and grabs the remote, "Maybe she has change."
"You've got to be one mentally ill fucker to say that, especially coming from you." She added, waiting for him to pick a movie. "Did she hex you or something-"
"I'm perfectly fine." Y/n sighed. "I just... Look she does seems like some woman who's trying to live a normal life."
"But she's not a woman, Y/n. She's a monster." She rubs her temple. "A lot of people gone mad in Westview, I'm sure you remember."
"How could I forget..."
"She could try all she wants, but I won't give her the benefit of the doubt. And I won't stop you if you decide too..." They looked at their sister who smiles at him gently. "The beauty of it is that you have a choice now, none of her victims did."
He looked at the floor, his sister could see the gears in his head moving.
"Though I have to say you are one mad son of a bitch if you did."
ᗢ----------ᗢ
I am one mad son of a bitch.
They thought to themselves as they rang her doorbell. I could still change my mind right? I can run-
"I'll be right there!"
Fuck!
Wanda opens the door, delighted to greet her guest. "Y/n! So glad you could make it."
"Hi, Mrs. Maximoff." They took in her dress, well she does look good. "You look stunning."
Wanda gave him a smile, "Thank you. Please, come in!"
They entered the house, it was cozy, small, homey, there were very little pictures hung up. They did notice one family picture, and what it looks like and old frame of her and her late brother. Her informations was easy to find on the internet, yes Y/n did their research.
The house was decorated for party mode. There was some snack on the table, fruit punch, and a few other things. However, it was missing a key ingredient...
"Sorry, am I early?" He turned to Wanda.
Wanda sighed, "Early is uh... one way to put it. You're the first one here the others must've been late. They said they'll stop by." She puts on a reassuring smile, but Y/n had a feeling she must've felt devastated.
And in fact, Wanda was. This housewarming party was her attempt to prove herself to the neighborhood that she was in fact not a threat, maybe make some friends... But no matter, she had one guest now.
"Take a seat!" She said enthusiastically, "Would you like something to drink?"
"Yeah sure, I'll get some fruit punch, looks really refreshing." The two settled down on the couch, there was a moment of awkward silent between them.
If there's one thing Y/n couldn't take, it was that.
"Here." They passed her the gift bag they had brought for her. "It's an old record player I had lying around, I don't ever use it anymore and I thought it would go with uh..." He searched for the right words, "Someone of your generation?"
Wanda took the gift with a smile and gave him a funny look, "You make it sounds like I'm old." She said jokingly. "But thank you. You didn't have too, but I appreciate it."
It was a red colored Crosley turntable. It was portable, and had a built in speaker. Her heart swelled at their gesture. "There's some vinyls in there as well, I hope you like the Beatles."
"I love the Beatles."
"I'll help you set it up." He said with a kind smile. Wanda decided to put the record player in her living room, perhaps some tune would help set up the mood. They plugged it in and Y/n made her choose the album. Wanda scanned the various albums, looking at the front cover and the back with a smile on her face.
She puts on one album and the song 'Twist and Shout' started to play. "Now this is a party." Wanda said, earning a chuckle from the youth. She then lightly bop her head into the song, twisting her legs like one of those old style dance. For a second she seems to lost her self into the music.
Y/n had always seen Wanda in... sort of a negative light. But seeing her smiling, dancing, just interacting with her on a more personal level... They were starting to see Wanda in an entirely new light.
The woman then turns to face the youth, she had a bright smile on her face as she made a 'come here' motion to him. "Not much of a dancer?"
They let out a laugh and joined Wanda. "I'll have you know I'm an incredible dancer."
Music was the exact ice breaker that they needed, they wen't from keeping their distance to even occasionally twirling each other playfully. Y/n had to admit, he was having fun with the witch. Wanda had a contagious laugh, an intoxicating energy, a smile that could light up a whole room, and she was so so... beautiful-
Why am I thinking about her like this?
"So Y/n, tell something about yourself. I'd like to get to know my neighbors better." Wanda asked once the music ended and it started playing a much slower song in the albums. They sat on the couch with a snack dividing their space.
"Oh I'm just your typical fresh graduate, ma'am. Still trying to find where I'm gonna belong here in the workforce." Y/n responded with a dry chuckle.
"I'm sure you'll find your place." She look down at her drink with a small smile. "Friend of mine always said there's a place for everyone in the world."
The way she said it so softly, made tugged something inside Y/n's heart. She really is just trying to fit in the world like the rest of us.
"And you, ma'am? Who is Wanda Maximoff?" He asked teasingly, getting more comfortable with her each minute. He popped some chips in his mouth, anticipating her answer.
"Me? Oh you know... I'm a retired old psycho witch." She said jokingly.
Y/n couldn't help the snort that came out of them, "Sorry-" Ok. She's got humor.
Wanda laughs and waved him off, "Don't be." She thought for a second before answering properly. "Well... I'm sure my informations are out there. Former Avenger turned villain, was... a threat to humanity once, served my time of redemption and here I am."
"Those are old news." Y/n said. "I'm asking along the lines of, who is Wanda Maximoff. What does she do for fun?"
Wanda tilted her head at his question, tiny smile creeped onto her face. No one... ever really asked her that question before. Wanda took a drink of her fruit punch before answering.
"I..." She cleared her throat, "I enjoy reading in my spare time, I love gardening as you can tell." Y/n listen intently with a soft smile on their face. "I like board games, I have a few collection of those, and... cooking."
She finishes with a smile. "Not the answers you were expecting?"
"Yeah... I honestly expected potions brewing." Wanda bursted out laughing at his response. A genuine hearty laugh. "With cauldrons and everything." He said jokingly, trying to get more amusement out of her.
She's so cute when she laughs.
"Don't tell me you think witches do potions brewing do you?"
"They don't?!" He asked in an exaggerate tone, which amuses Wanda further as she shook her head still with a smile on her face.
She then leaned against the her seat. "Maybe some do."
"Did you also had a wand like Harry Potter?"
The two shared another laugh, and they fell into an easy conversation from there. Wanda learned that Y/n lives with their sister, his parents were retired in Vancouver, Canada. She made a mental note to travel there as it seems like a wonderful place to live. Y/n just recently graduated from University and had planned on moving to New York once they had saved enough money.
Y/n learned that Wanda was also fond of drawing, painting, anything art related. She drew flowers that she grew in her garden mostly, but she occasionally draws a portrait of people. And she was actually pretty good.
Wanda gave him a tour of the house, her kitchen was surprisingly well equipped. Her living room had a 4K flat screen TV. She shyly admits that she enjoys watching movies and shows so she wanted put a little more money on investing in a decent screen. Y/n couldn't judge, they binge watch Netflix all the time too.
The clock soon hits 11 o'clock and Y/n remains the only guest at her party. He felt pity on her, as he could see from all the drinks and food, she really went out of her way only for no one to show up. They would assumed that Wanda felt sad and depressed, but to quite honest, Wanda was so happy that even one person attend her party.
Y/n was kind and polite, they treated Wanda like she was their neighbor instead of some witch. She couldn't be more grateful.
They were playing a game of Jenga when she noticed how late it was. "It's getting late." She told him as he was pulling out a block of wood from the tower with pure concentration, he was even sticking out his tongue.
"Mhmmm... I just need to-" The tower then falls and he groaned in frustration. Wanda laughs at his adorable nature. "You did that on purpose, you just wanted to kick me out!" He jokingly accused her.
"I did not!" She playfully shoved his shoulder. Y/n helped her cleaned up the block of woods before being escorted to the front door by Wanda. "Thank you so much, Mrs. Maximoff. I had a really great time."
"Please, just Wanda." She smiled at him. "And I should be thank you. This is the most fun I've had in a long time."
"So did I." He smiled at her while stepping outside. "If you need anything, I'm just across the road. Don't hesitate to stop by."
"I will, thank you." She smiled sweetly at him. Y/n walked backwards while waving goodbye at her.
"And I want a rematch!" He said before finally turning around to walk back to his house. Wanda laughs saying 'Of course' under her breath and closed the door.
She leaned against the door and let out a happy sighed. I really made a friend!
Smut next chapter homie? 👀

Hey! If it’s okay, may I request Hobie Brown, Miguel O’hara, and Miles Morales headcanons where they find out from Miguel and Layla (of in Miguel’s case, finds out himself) that this s/o is the only variant of themselves the exists im the multiverse (like America Chavez)? I’m very interested in seeing how you’d think the boys would react to this kind of information and maybe what Miguel would do since there is only one other person (America) that is in the readers situation where there is no other version of them.
Tumblr media
╰┈➤ ❝ one of a kind ❞
Tumblr media
: ̗̀➛ ft. miguel o’hara, hobie brown, miles morales
: ̗̀➛ synopsis. miguel, hobie and miles finding out that their s/o has no other variants
: ̗̀➛ a/n. i LOVE this idea it’s so original, also trying out headcanons to see if I fw writing like this we’ll see, and a little side note: i had the s/o NOT being a spider-person in mind when i wrote this so keep that in mind
Tumblr media
— MILES MORALES
in an fictional world where miguel isn’t a psycho and miles actually joins the spider society, I imagine he finds out about your situation through miguel one day during a meeting
miguel wouldn’t even intentionally share the information, if anything i feel like he’d avoid telling miles anything he didn’t need to know
it was lyla who spilled the not-so-secret secret by making an off hand joke during their conversation about his lover being one of a kind
miguel tries to brush her off and act like she was talking crazy but by then it’s too late and the way lyla worded it now has his interest piqued so miguel pretty much has no choice to either tell now or tell later when he gets tired of miles bringing it up
he explains to miles how he found out that unlike every spider-man, gwen stacy, etc. you have no other versions of yourself in any other universe, you’re the only variant
miles is absolutely FASCINATED by that idea, and while he promises not to go blabbing about it to every per miguel’s request, the next time he sees you it’s the first thing he brings up
whether or not you already knew about this, you enjoy listening to his interest in the fact as he talks about it, going on and on about how crazy it is that in the infinite amount of dimensions and universes there are, there’s no other person like you
he feels incredibly lucky and grateful that you ended up in his universe and doesn’t stop telling you that
miles also enjoys theorizing with you in random moments where you both have nothing to say about what other versions of you would be like if you did have variants
his favorite theory was a universe where you became spider-man instead of him
you both enjoyed imagining that reality for two completely different reasons (he just wanted to see you in the suit)
Tumblr media
— HOBIE BROWN
unlike miles i don’t think hobie would find out directly from miguel because i’m a firm believer that he’s hellbent on being a nuisance whenever he can
he found out by snooping through miguel’s database when he was away from the spider base
hobie hadn’t been looking for anything on you in particular, but when he saw his s/o’s name he couldn’t help but be just a little nosy
who wouldn’t want to know what other versions of their lover was like?? and at the moment he realized that like other prominent figures in every other spider-man universe, he’s never seen any of your variants
so imagine his surprise when he wasn’t able to find anything on you
he ends up nonchalantly fessing up to Miguel when he returns wanting to know what’s up and about the other versions of you, and after sitting though Miguel cursing him out for getting into his database (and him fussing at Lyla for letting him do it) he breaks the news to hobie that there are no other versions of you
Oh???
he’d be more amused by this than anything
after learning this his compliments will change to him constantly making comments about how he’s the luckiest guy in the world multiverse to have the only y/n
will make sly jokes about keeping you safe because if he loses you there’s no replacement, which earns him a nice smack on the head
he’ll ask about how you feel about knowing you’re the only version of you, since as cool as it is being able to see other visions of how you could’ve turned out would be something you’d have to miss on
Tumblr media
— MIGUEL O’HARA
in my eyes miguel wouldn’t react as chill or as positive as either of the other two would’ve
he finds out when he’s regularly checking up on the universes and starts to notice a small detail that no matter where he searches he’s never seen another you, which was likely unusual considering the amount of repeats and variants of every other person
when he asks lyla to go through the database to see what she can find, she confirms his suspicions that the only pattern in every other universe aside from your own is that there is no other version of you, not a single person even remotely close to your looks or personality in fact
i don’t think miguel would bother telling you this after he finds out and wouldn’t let you know unless you ever came to the realization yourself and asked him about it since of course he of all people would know
he’d appreciate the fact that he still ended up with the only version of you to exist, but due to what happened with his daughter during that absolute disaster a little voice in the back of his mind would be worried that if he lost you you’d truly be gone forever
one day after he finds out you two would be relaxing somewhere by yourselves and miguel would casually bring up what you think your variants would be like, just to hear you voice your thoughts on the matter
he’d be lying if he said the thought didn’t cross his mind once he found out there was no way to confirm it because there’s only one y/n
miguel would ever in his dreams think of just going to another universe to replace you with another variant of you if something happened (or would he? that’d be such a good fanfic idea i’d so write that for the angst), it was a cruel thought, but know that’s not an option makes him appreciate and treasure being with you way more often that he did before, so expect him to be more clingy for no apparent reason for a while once he finds out

I want to go on a rant about Mexican representation and I am. (I did this once I cooled down, but it'll probably get heated later on)
So, here's the deal, representation, it's fine, no? It's cool, it's great, it's amazing. It's something everyone wants. To be able to see someone like him in the big screens. So why, if everyone's screaming for representation of all kinds, the representation we are given is either equal to none or really bad?
Now, I'm not saying this in a mean way (I kinda am) but, it's annoying. It really is. The Mexican characters that we have are bad. Like really bad. And hey, I should he glad there even is. Even just, latino American in general.
Look at the MCU, there's Asian main characters, there's black main characters, there's white main characters obviously, there's even European main characters I believe. And they're well represented. But I haven't seen one Mexican main character that you look at them and you tell yourself as a Mexican, they're like me. Okay, there's America Chavez and Miguel O'Hara. But have you seen them? Have you seen how they're written?
My main rant here is about Miguel. In one of the most well written movies, in one of the most representative movies, in one of the best animated movies or our generation, the one Mexican character is written like an animal. Like a deranged man that's pursuing a kid because he doesn't like him. And that's the way he is perceived.
Yet every single other character in there, is well represented and well written. Every black people in that movie has a personality that makes you see them as black. Hobie? He's got a reason to be like he is, and that has to see with him being black, and he has a bottom, a personality. Miles? I'm not even gonna say it, he's the main character. Jessica? She's written as what she is. Spider byte? She's written as a black woman, in the little time she's shown. But Miguel? He's written as an animal. As a bottomless dehumanized animal.
He's the only Mexican guy we get and part of the little Latino characters we get. And he's written like a fucking animal. He's not written like a villain with a reason to be. He's written as a persecutor that does this because he feels like it. The worst part is that he's got a reason. But it's shown for so little time and so overlooked that it just, doesn't matter. And I'm not saying he's right, far from it, there's other ways to go about what he's trying to do. But to him, this things have a meaning. Yet everyone overlooks it to go for the fact that he's attacking a child. And why? Because he's shown as an animal.
And don't come to me with the "oh but he's half spider". And? So are the other spidermans and they're not written as a beast. They're not dehumanized to the point where all that you see when you look at that character is the way he is agressive.
He's lost his daughter, twice, and to a mistake he made. He took his daughter's life because he wanted her back, yet no one, no one, is taking a look at that. No one is caring about his reason, only about what he did. Yet to every other MCU villain, that have got a good reason, (like Loki, Namor, who's very well written, red skull, etc) people look at it. People think about it. And we're being reminded of it.
But in every piece of media I see about Miguel that isn't some horny piece of fanfiction, (no offense) the only thing people keep bringing back is his hatred for miles. His aggressiveness. To Gwen too. And the worst part is that I don't blame the people that consume or create that media. I Blake the writers of the movie.
It's extremely well written. A masterpiece from the eyes of an artist and a writer. But Miguel? His writing feels so lazy, so not there. Not even Peter's feels bad, he just feels neglectful. Miguel's writing, as one of the main villains of the movie is soo... Plain. To me, every other character has depth except him. And it bothers me.
Now, moving on onto any other well consumed movie. Mexicans are either extremely stereotyped, or represented as something related to drug. And that's all. I haven't seen one "normal" Mexican character.
Not even America Chavez, she's written as a white girl, and it feels to me. She's meant to be Mexican but there's no effort put into it. There's no effort put into writing actually good Mexican characters in American media. And don't get me started on French media. And the worst part is that these people aren't like that in the comics. They're well written there, represented as what they are!
I mean, if DC can do it with blue beetle, (a very well written Mexican movie. Just in the cultural aspect, I'm not going to judge the movie in itself) then marvel can surely do it with anyone else. Like, put some effort into it, please. It's the same effort you put into written good black and Asian characters. Write good latino characters, please.
It's not that hard. It really isn't. If fanfiction authors can write better foreign characters than a professional, it means they're capable of doing it. And it means there's a problem there. And it hurts, because I'm not even asking you to write about something controversial, or about a woman. I'm asking you to put some effort into a typical male character and nor write it as a beast or a white guy. You can do it and I know it. And if you can't? Find someone that can or just, don't then. Because I'd rather not being represented than for people to think every one of us is like that. And agressive, drug related, brown man.
Another example I have is Percy Jackson. They made the effort of turning typically represented white gods, Greek gods, into a black god. And a white character into a black character. And then there's groover, that I don't remember if he was brown, but it fits. There's almost every community in there. Yet, no latino character. Not even in the background. Like, if you're gonna make a Greek god black for representation, you can do it for other minorities. Anyone. Not just Percy Jackson.
And again, I'm not even asking to write or represented queer or genderqueer people, you won't loose money from making a well written latino character.
Because then, it bleeds into society, and when I moved to my current country, I lived for seven years with the racism of being a foreign person in a country that consumes American media and doesn't know much about us, other than we're criminals and eat tacos in a basis and are some kind of witch or weird person. And for someone as young as little me, and as different as little me, it just hurts that you're discriminated for something so normal as to where you were born. Because the only thing they know about my country is the bad representation media chose to do. Like they did with black people. And now it's changed, so why can't it for us to?
So yeah, it makes me mad to not be able to see someone like me without thinking, why the others get a well written deep character and I get some kind of beast that hurts children with an overlooked reason. Because the movie chose to overlook it. Because the people chose to overlook it.
I want to clarify, my views in this are mostly oriented on the MCU and Sony's spider verse movies.

Chapter Eight - Old Friends, a Cube and a Tattoo
Wanda was in a very bad mood.
You knew it was Chthon's influence that made her easily irritable, impatient, and explosive, and it must have had something to do with Oshtur's blessing that you wanted to torment her so much in this state.
America was having a difficult day with both of you.
As Wanda was exploring your memories - and growing impatient by the minute, even though you were doing it the fast and safe way - you decided to stay in this universe for a while.
Carol assured you that the room was yours for as long as you wanted it, but made the mistake of completing it with a smile full of second thoughts to you, and America almost had to open a new portal when Wanda started a fight with a woman who was practically a star.
Fortunately, you were able to calm the tempers, even though you were now around town chasing a new shelter.
"I still vote we try a new world." Chavez suggested beside you, peeling the yellow fruit she got before you all left the inn.
"This universe is perfectly habitable, America." You retort looking around the tents. "You know the rules."
Wanda, who had her hands in her pockets a little forward, looked at you over her shoulder.
"What rules?" She asked, her accent half thick, and you figured it was because she was still irritated by the scene with Carol. Still, you were glad she was talking altogether, so you cleared your throat and America spoke before you:
"The rules of Multiverse Partners." She said taking a big bite of the fruit next. "No traveling without necessity-"
"Don't talk with your mouth full." You and Wanda warn together and America grimaces but doesn't insist. You smile at the redhead, and she gives you a strange look before refocusing on the road. You swallow dryly before continuing.
"Anyway, those were some rules I made up for her safety." You explain. "Since I don't know the extent of her abilities, I didn't want her to abuse the power. So, we only travel if necessary within a time frame. And we were on a mission to, well, find you, and America's mothers too, so we went from universe to universe, rested and ate something, and continued the journey."
"Didn't your rules include no stealing?" Wanda asks with a short smile, and you chuckle awkwardly.
"Well, sometimes I didn't have the currency of that world." You mutter. "And sometimes they didn't even pay with money, but with some kind of work. And I wasn't going to leave the child hungry."
"Lovely." Wanda muttered half uninterested, and you sighed in defeat, knowing she had gone back into her own head again.
Slipping an arm past America, you whispered to her:
"Do you have any idea how to get a girl's attention?"
Chavez laughed low, finishing chewing. "On my planet, you could buy a big, live plant."
"Alive?" You ask in shock, and America murmurs in agreement. "God, what a horror show."
"Hey, don't talk bad about my planet or the flirtatious customs there!" Says the girl in a fake serious tone, and you laugh lightly.
A few stalls further downtown, however, you take the advice, and mutter a "wish me luck" to Chavez before letting go of her and hurrying to pick one of the strange red flowers in front of you. They resemble roses enough, so you hide them behind your back and poke Wanda's shoulder.
"What, Y/N?" She asks half wearily, and you shift the weight of your feet before extending the flowers to her, who widens her eyes slightly in surprise.
"They are for you. " You say with a smile. "A rose for another rose."
Wanda frowns slightly. "You see me as a flower with thorns?" She questions her tone so seriously it makes you hesitate. But she sighs and holds out a hand. "Thanks, I guess."
Before she takes it, however, the flower lets out a loud grunt and rots in your hand. Wanda raises an eyebrow.
"I'm a dead flower."
"N-no, I didn't mean-" You try but America is trying to hide her laughter at your disaster, and Wanda is turning around, and the angry salesman is cursing you in Galician and saying that that kind of flower dies if it's not taken off the branch properly.
You hoped that Wanda wouldn't talk to you the rest of the way to the nearest inn - of which the address you picked up from a guy in the bar - but shortly after the disastrous flower episode, when America was already checking other stalls from which she could get something to eat, Wanda slowed her pace to stand to your right side.
"In these universes that you've been to, did you ever get to.... um, hang out with any of the other Wandas?"
You frown in surprise. "Are you asking me if I had sex with your variants?"
America laughed, throwing her head back. You and Wanda turned red like tomatoes, and you grimaced, pulling the cap of Chavez's sweatshirt up to her head to make her shut up.
"It's just that the kid mentioned that you've met other Wandas." Murmured the redhead without meeting your eyes. "I would totally understand if it happened."
You scratch at the back of your neck. "Well, I guess, um, I'll always be in love with any version of you, and, um, attracted too, b-but we were on a mission! I wasn't going to just leave America alone to make out."
Your cheeks with certainty are burning, but you think you must have said the right thing because you get a smile and a look that makes your stomach fill with butterflies from Wanda.
Chavez, on the other hand, chuckles shortly: "Hey, don't blame this on me. You're the one who's completely in love with the evil witch version of this girl."
"Hey, don't call her that!" You try, but Wanda has already licked her lips and went back to walk ahead. America shrugs her shoulders.
"It was just a joke." She tries, but you sigh.
"Yeah, I know." You say passing your arm across her shoulder again. "But do you think you can be nice? I can torment her because she loves me, even if she won't admit it. You, well, need to grow into her first."
America laughs with a roll of her eyes. "Okay, Y/N, I'll be nice to your girlfriend."
"Wife." Wanda corrects at the same time as you, causing you to give America a "told you so" look to which the girl just laughs in disbelief.
Whenever you received an affectionate confirmation like this time, it was safe to torment Wanda.
So, America let out a loud grumble when you stepped aside to intertwine an arm with the witch a few minutes later, knowing from your expression, that you intended to mischief.
"My dear wife, what have you thought of this universe so far?" You asked casually, ignoring her look of doubt at the sudden touch. But Wanda pulled herself together quickly, continuing on her way and sighing softly.
"It's pretty, I guess." She commented.
"You are pretty." You retorted and Wanda gave a weak laugh, ignoring your interruption although a faint pink appeared on her cheeks.
"I guess I was more surprised to learn that Bucky and Natasha were a thing in this world."
You frown. "Wait, they weren't in your world?" You ask.
"Not that I know of." Wanda retorts with a short laugh. "Natasha didn't talk much about the past, but I never knew of her and Bucky having anything. In fact, it seemed much more like he was in love with Steve."
"Um, I can see that." You comment thoughtfully and miss the way Wanda smiles tenderly at your expression. "But my Captain America actually ended up having something with Natasha afterward, so I guess that would be weird."
"Oh, that totally happened in mine but no one talks about it." Wanda completes getting a short laugh from you.
"The Avengers formed weird couples, but I definitely had a favorite." You comment, and Wanda raises a curious eyebrow.
"Which one was it?"
"Me and you."
She smiles, rolling her eyes with amusement and trying not to trip on the way. The moment breaks shortly thereafter when America lets out an exclamation.
"Isn't that the grumpy guy from the other day?" She asks, pointing, and you look away from Wanda to the front, where Bucky Barnes is wearing jeans shorts, and a tank top, with a little boy on his shoulders as he puts oranges into a plastic bag. Natasha Romanoff in a floral dress and short hair is standing next to him. "And that's the creepy hunter who sold us out to killer robots."
"That was two universes ago, let's not get attached to the past. They look nice." You comment and when Bucky recognizes you in the crowd, you nod politely. "You two, please behave yourselves."
But Wanda and America didn't seem at all willing to trust another variant of Natasha Romanoff, even if this one is probably the most likable you've ever met.
It's kind of a hard image to get used to. You have never seen Bucky and Nat smile so much, but they look like a couple from a commercial. And little Stevie is simply the most adorable child in the world.
"[...] It's nice that you chose to stay, most hunters and gatherers leave the Forge for the rest of the country, where they have work." Bucky comments casually as he sets Stevie down, and gives him one of the fruits.
"We won't be staying long though, we're just working out a few loose ends before we leave." You add trying to sound friendly but being sure that Wanda is reading both of their minds. Clearing your throat, you ask; "And you guys live around here?"
Bucky laughs softly, and it is Natasha who answers.
"Not at all, only travelers live in the Forge." She says. "It's too busy, and in high season it's impossible to move around here. We have an apartment in the capital, me and Stevie. James hasn't decided what he wants to do with his life yet."
Bucky forces a laugh. "I'm a hunter, Natalia, that's what I do for a living. If you don't like it, keep it to yourself."
"Don't tell me to keep anything-"
"Let's not argue in front of strangers-"
You widened your eyes at the scene, not quite knowing how to react to the discussion. Little Stevie approached Wanda and poked at the Scarlet Sorceress wimple that was hanging from a bag - which contained the washed costume, some food, and clean changes of clothes inside.
"Are you a princess?" He asked with one hand holding a grapefruit, and the other trying to pull the item off the bag. Wanda hesitated, but uncrossed her arms and lowered herself to the child's height.
"No, that's not a tiara." She explained half-heartedly to Stevie's curious eyes, "Actually, it's called a Wimple. And well, I wear it because I'm a witch."
Against expectations, Stevie's eyes widen with wonder. "Wow, like a real one?"
Wanda chuckles. "Yeah, a real one." She says, and to prove it, she raises her hand in the air and forces a small scarlet ball, and the boy jumps for joy. But then, he sees the black on Wanda's fingers and drops the grapefruit to hold her finger.
"Does that hurt?" He asks innocently, and Wanda swallows dryly as she denies with her head. "Is it because you make sparkles?"
Wanda laughs softly. "No, darling. It's just like a little bruise, don't worry."
Stevie lets out a small exclamation. "Oh, Auntie Yelena knows how to heal bruises! She's a doctor, she told me. Mommy, the lady needs to get a bandage from Aunt Yelena!"
With the interruption, the couple stops arguing, and Nat blinks in confusion at her son's statement while Wanda stands again, half-hearted about what to say.
"Oh my, you touched some of those suspicious stalls didn't you!" Natasha comments as soon as she sees Wanda's fingers, who tries to hide her hands in her pockets again. "My sister works with interplanetary medicine, she can take a look at that for you guys. James, I guess I'll see you next weekend."
Bucky frowns slightly, but nods. And offers a short smile to the three of you, before hugging Stevie and saying goodbye.
"Come on, her office is on the path of the train to the Capital." Nat said before starting to lead the way with little Stevie holding her hand. America stood to the side, full of questions, and you slid your hand into Wanda's pocket until you pulled hers out.
You just looked, and let out a low grumble, letting go and grimacing. Wanda frowned.
"What?" she asked between teeth, half annoyed that you were acting so mysteriously.
"You think I won't notice if they get darker?" You retort looking at her for a moment. "After everything that happened, and what I showed you, you went back to reading that damn book, Wanda."
She turns her face away, guilt dripping down her chest. But she doesn't let on, and honestly, you can't even blame her. You're angrier at yourself for failing than you are at her.
"How long have you been reading in hiding?" You asked, and Wanda sighed impatiently.
"I just read it last night." She answers low so as not to attract the attention of America and Nat further on. "When you went to sleep."
"Fine, I'll never sleep again."
Wanda sighs again, stopping walking and holding you by your shirt. "I'm just trying to find a way to keep you and my children."
You soften your expression, one of your hands going to her face and caressing her cheek. "I'm going to destroy that book as soon as I can." You tell her with a smile and ignore the annoyed grunt she lets out as she pushes you by the shoulders and walks off ahead.
With a deep sigh, trying to think of how exactly you would do this without your magic, you follow them.
–//–
The Yelena Belova of this world didn't look much like the one you knew. For one thing, she was 'Auntie Yelena' and wore a white coat and not wrestling clothes, and she also seemed to be much closer to Natasha than yours ever were.
She greeted you at the reception, and little Stevie didn't want to say goodbye at all after he was picked up in her lap, but Yelena calmed him down by saying she was going to visit him soon and hugged Natasha tight before the redhead left with her son so she wouldn't miss the next train.
"Come, my office is this way." Yelena told the three of you, and Wanda averted her impressed eyes from what appeared to be a Cyborg - with practically its entire body made of metal except for its head - trying to hold on to the loose parts of its own arm as it waited for service.
It was the weirdest doctor's office you had ever been in, and that included the half-machine patients, but it was more about the innumerable ultra-technological objects that you had never seen before and the projectors and models that looked more like they belonged in an astrology observatory than in a doctor's office.
Still, you and the girls stumbled behind Yelena in silence, and she asked who would like to go first, to which you and America immediately pointed Wanda, who rolled her eyes with a sigh but moved to her chair.
"And what is wrong with Miss...?"
"Wanda Maximoff." She introduced herself as she removed her jacket and placed it folded in her lap. "It's nothing, really, I'm a witch and I'm, um, having side effects from using a book."
You crossed your arms. "I think you forgot to mention that it's the book of the damned, dear." You mutter receiving an annoyed look from her, but Yelena gives a small giggle, moving to grab a magnifying glass and take a closer look at Wanda's fingers.
"Look, Miss Maximoff, I'd be honest with you. We don't have a lot of magical antidotes in this part of the country, most people who come to the Forge have some injury from northern beasts, or at most a burn from travel gone wrong between one portal and another." Yelena counters, analyzing her other hand. "But there are several Asgardian doctors in the capital, who are experts in magic, even dark magic. Maybe you guys can find better help over there."
Wanda nods in understanding, and Yelena just does a standard check-up on her before asking who would like to be next. America walks in front of you so quickly that you just laugh softly.
"I knew it was a waste of time." Wanda murmurs low to you grumpily, and you slip an arm around her waist only to whisper in her ear:
"No one told you not to behave darling." You tease and she rolls her eyes in irritation, but you don't miss the way she tensed and blushed at the closeness before you pulled away.
America finished the check-up very quickly and was even more excited to win a lollipop.
"In perfect condition, I can congratulate the moms on the care of Miss Chavez." Greeted Yelena, and neither of you corrected her, and that only seemed to increase the girl's smile. "Well, I guess that leaves only you, Miss...?"
"I am Y/N L/N." You started first, and Wanda lowered her eyes, but a small smile threatened to escape when you completed with 'Maximoff' before sitting down in the chair.
Yelena started the check-up, and unlike the other two, you were not well.
"Do you have any medical conditions, Miss?" Yelena asked with her eyes on the computer screen.
"No, not really."
"Your pressure is low, borderline actually." She comments with a frown, and you clear your throat, turning away from Wanda's gaze trying to meet yours. "Blood levels too. I assume you are magical like your wife, right? No human would be standing..."
You coughed lightly, pulling out the devices assessing you at once, and attracting Yelena's attention immediately.
"I'm fine!" You stated hesitantly and nervously, standing upright. "It's probably just the travel fatigue, thanks for your time, but we should go. Carol said these things are free in this world, right? Well, see you around." You said very quickly and were leaving the room - and ignoring Wanda's or America's gaze - within the next minute.
"I'm sorry about that." America told the doctor, and Wanda took her eyes off the door you had left through to look back at the blonde.
"Yes, I'm sorry. Thank you for your time."
Before they left, Yelena stood up. She waited for America to go after you, to tell Wanda:
"Look, Miss Maximoff, I don't know what kind of magical creature your wife is, but from what little I could assess, she's not doing well at all." Says the blonde seriously. "If she has healing powers, then there won't be any problems. But if she keeps getting worse..."
Wanda swallows dryly, forcing a smile. "Thank you for your concern, doctor. I will talk to her. It was a pleasure, thanks again."
Yelena smiled and hurried to hand over the card of a fellow Asgardian from the Capital who could help them before saying goodbye.
Wanda found you waiting at the entrance to the Medical Center outside, hugging America by the shoulders and whispering assurances that you were fine and that not all the doctors in the universe could read your magic correctly.
When Wanda met your eyes, she knew immediately that you were lying.
The way to the capital was really very tense between you and Wanda. America didn't seem to notice anything, because as soon as you finally managed to locate yourselves correctly in the huge Forge subway station - which had countless lines and destinations to at least two continents - and got on the train, America was fascinated by the views out the window, which ranged from colorful plant plains inhabited by strange animals and even mechanics to underwater cities and very interesting product markets.
She was kneeling in one of the forward seats, trying to get a better view of what looked like an aquatic park while you were twelve stations away from the Capital, and you were about to fall asleep against the window when Wanda put her arm around your shoulders. You smiled, figuring it was a sign of affection, but swallowed dryly when you met her reddening gaze.
"What are you doing?"
"Don't try to block them from me." She warns with a neutral expression, her free hand moving up to your cheek, "I know you don't have the strength to do it."
You swallow dryly and frown slightly. "Why don't you ask me?"
"We've already tried that, haven't we?" She retorts with a certain irony. "I ask you things, you lie or hide them. I see your memories, and you reel me in with sad things from your childhood instead of telling me what's going to happen to us. And now you are dying, and I don't know how to help you."
"I'm not dying." You retort between teeth, trying to turn your head away but Wanda firms her grip.
"No, you're not." She assures you with a serious expression. "I'm not going to lose you too, Y/N. You can be sure of that."
You swallow dryly, but Wanda gives you a small smile, her fingers moving your hair away from your eyes.
"I think I found it." Wanda whispers with her eyes still glittering, and her smile falters when you block her before she can see the memory. She raises a brow at you, but all you do is lean your forehead against hers and take a deep breath, the closeness making her hesitate. "Let me see."
"Later." You whisper, brushing your lips together and feeling Wanda flinch, her fingers trembling against your cheeks. "When America is asleep and safe. I will tell you everything, I promise."
You say and kiss her cheek, before pulling away and rising to stand beside America and offer her amusing comments about the scenery.
Wanda is still trying to normalize her breathing, settling into the bench and biting her fingernail thoughtfully when Chthon's sighs return.
She's going to say she has to kill you, witch. And you will realize that this fantasy could never have gone anywhere.
Wanda brings her eyes to you again, and you, though you are hugging America, offer her a small smile and a wink, looking at her so affectionately before turning your attention to the landscape that Wanda can't believe the demon's whispers.
You're full of shit, Chthon. She tells him.
You'll see for yourself, and when you need my help, I'll have a good time.
–//–
Wanda had been to Wakanda once in her life, and it was immediately the place she remembered when they arrived in the capital.
America was hungry again, which wasn't at all surprising, and so were you, which for someone she had just found out was getting sick by the minute, wasn't either.
She, on the other hand, didn't think she would be able to eat anytime soon, the worry and stress taking away her hunger completely.
After you found a stall of what seemed to be a version of oriental food from that universe, you asked around for a place to sleep, and unlike the Forge, what you found most were lodging options, the station itself having 'temporary cubes' that were mini-apartments at every station for travelers to use between trips.
You - who were the only one who could speak Korean, or apparently any language - got the keys to a Medium Cube for them on the third floor of the station, and raced America to the place, leaving a rather impatient Wanda (who was pretending not to smile) behind.
The Cube lived up to its name, but it had a technological extension, and as soon as you finished adjusting the settings on the small monitor next to the door - which was made of glass - the place began to settle down inside.
A small kitchen, a bathroom, and two bunk beds, as well as a television on the wall and a rug with the station's symbol, decorated the place. There was also a strange microwave oven, and America let out an excited exclamation when she discovered that it was literally a food machine, where she only had to press the desired option and the necessary food would appear. You frowned slightly as you noticed the red threads forming the food inside.
"That's a good use for the Reality Stone." You muttered pointing to the microwave forming out of nowhere a delicious sweet dumpling on the inside. "It's pretty hard to believe they actually use the Infinity Stones for good in this universe."
Wanda sighed in agreement, walking past you to sit on the bottom bunk.
"Tell me about it." She murmurs massaging her neck. "In my universe, everyone had an idea of different weapons for those stones. It's refreshing to see other solutions."
You mutter in agreement, and start to take off your shoes, intending to take a shower.
"Hey, where did you learn to speak Korean?" Wanda asks casually, and you giggle.
"I didn't learn, honey." You reply, and with one motion, pull your sweatshirt out. You offer Wanda a wink as you see her looking, before standing in front of her. You run your hand across your abdomen, and when you pull away, Wanda suddenly sees the runes appearing on your skin. "Magic always leaves traces, but it doesn't always have to be bad things." You say pointing to the drawings, and Wanda can't resist the temptation to trace the lines as well. "This one here was a healing spell when I was 14, and this one was one for running faster and cheating in a school race." You count with a guilty chuckle. And you turn suddenly so that Wanda can see your back, which is blank. "Go ahead and place your hand, and use your magic so that the runes are revealed, just the intention is enough, I didn't put any kind of complicated protection for that."
Wanda frowns slightly but obeys. And watches the designs appear on her skin as she traces the extension. She smiles at the more random designs, giving a chuckle as a Unicorn begins to fly along your hip.
"These are not runes."  She murmurs and you smile, denying it before sitting down on the floor so she can get a better look at your back.
"No, I got magic tattoos too." You say.
"Wow, can I get one too?" America asks as she takes her eyes off the finally ready cupcake.
"When you’re 18." You and Wanda answer together, laughing despite the child's grimace as she goes back to eating.
You place your hand behind your neck and reveal a set of three small runes.
"Those are my study runes." You count, feeling Wanda trace them curiously with her fingertips. "One is a universal translator, the other is to detect the magical occult, like being able to see invisible barriers or hidden creatures. The latter makes me able to see-"
"Chaos Magic." Wanda completes unsurprisingly, tracing the circle around the rune, and recognizing all the symbols within the dark hold. "You can see through any illusion or alteration in reality that I create."
"Mm-hmm." You murmur resting your arms on your knees and feel Wanda trace her fingers downward, tensing slightly as you feel her magic, and give a soft chuckle. "It tickles."
"There's something here." She murmurs without laughing, and you frown when the itching sensation gets a little painful.
"Wands, what are you...?"
But suddenly you choke softly, as does Wanda, who watches another image appear on your skin. This one takes up almost your entire back. It is the same image that both DarkHold and the Vishanti book have of the Scarlet Witch Figure.
You wriggle uncomfortably, feeling your skin burn, and look at Wanda over your shoulder. "Hey, what happened?"
Wanda doesn't answer, pushing you to stand, and as soon as you do so with confusion, she drags you into the bathroom. America mutters something about "cool tattoo' but you don't quite understand.
Wanda is pleased to find a large mirror, and puts you on your back, telling you to look. Your eyes widen when you see the new design.
"Oh, shit! That's not good, that's not good..." You start muttering, spinning around to try to see better, and slapping your hands on your body to encourage the other runes and drawings to fade away. It works, but only with the ones you already had. "No, no, no...
"Y/N, what's going on?"
You don't answer, muttering to yourself that this wasn't happening, and moving forward to the bathroom cabinets, going through everything as if looking for something.
"Y/N, you're scaring me." Wanda mutters uncertainly, playing with her fingers nervously. "Darling, please..."
"That'll do." You say suddenly as you raise something that looked like a stiletto, causing Wanda to widen her eyes. "Okay, honey, go outside I'll-"
"Absolutely not!" Wanda warns seriously, taking the item from your hand and raising a finger in warning to you. "Tell me now what's going on!"
"I just want to make a blood rune!" You justify yourself with a nervous expression. "N-not a big deal!"
"Y/N! I swear to god that if you don't tell me what's going on I'm going to bewitch you!" Wanda exclaims angrily and you sigh loudly.
"I can't tell you! I don't want to, get out of the bathroom and let me sort my things out-"
"Why are you pushing me away? I'm just trying to-"
"I'm not, please, Wanda I just want to protect you."
America opened the bathroom door, interrupting the argument. "Sorry, but you were yelling and we got a noise warning." She said clumsily, and you sighed loudly, running a hand over your face as your back was turned. Wanda started to mumble a 'sorry, America, we were just talking' but was interrupted by the girl's surprised exclamation.
"Hey, I know those symbols!" She declared, pointing to your back, where the figure of the scarlet witch was visible. America reached up to poke at one of the runes drawn on the bow on top of the witch's head. "They are from my world, the same symbols that were on the gates."
You turned around with a frown in confusion, trying to get a better view of the mirror. "Um, no, America, these are the blessing symbols of the ancient gods, you see it starts with Gaea and goes all the way to Set..."
"No, Y/N." America interrupts with a short laugh, tracing her fingers across your skin. "Your translation spell must be incorrect, because, see here. You are supposed to read it in this direction, and from bottom to top. It's written in my language, and it translates to something like 'Demiurge blesses those who visit his realm, whether they are descended from Oshtur to Chthon,' and quotes the other gods in between. I think this name, Demiurge, is in Greek because we don't read it that way on my planet." America explains and you continue with a confused expression.
"Hey, Wands, what kind of magic did you use on my back?" You ask, but the witch doesn't answer, mumbling softly in pain, and putting a hand to her face. "Wands, hey what's wrong?" You ask worriedly as she leans on the sink.
"Shut up." She mumbled with her eyes closed, clearly in pain from her expression, and you gave a confused little laugh.
"Sorry, I just-"
"Not you. Chthon" She says quickly, her breathing starting to become shallow. "Stop, stop showing me that." Wanda pressed her other hand to your face, and you swallowed dryly, passing your arms around her.
"America, give us two minutes." You said to the girl, who looked up hesitantly before nodding and leaving you. "Wanda, try to concentrate on me."
Wanda sniffled, and you felt your heart soar with worry. "I can't. It's too loud."
"Yes you can, I'll help you." You say, and even though you know you shouldn't, you bring one hand to your head, and the other to your back, at chest height. As soon as you begin to feel your magic on her, Wanda fights the tightness.
"N-no, Y/N, you're weak."
"Shush, I'm fine." You assure without letting go of her, and Wanda gasps softly as she feels the aura-cleansing spell improving her concentration, and causing Chthon's angry screams to subside, and the images he has placed in her head to dissipate. Wanda slips her arms around your waist and buries her face in your neck.
But when she opens her eyes and finds the mirror, she frowns in confusion.
The witch's tattoo is vibrating in gold, and it's only when you let out a grunt of pain, and your body heaved over hers that she realizes it's hurting.
"Y/N?" She calls out with some hesitation. You gasp, your hands coming out of her body to lean on the cabinet behind her, before you bury your face in her neck, and sniffle lightly, making her worry. "Y/N, what happened?"
"I-I'm so sorry Wanda." You whimper against her skin. "I think Oshtur is demanding my oath."
Wanda frowns, stroking your back. “Detka, why are you apologizing for this?"
Part of Wanda already knows the answer, after all, she has seen, yet when you don't answer and squeeze her harder, she feels worse.
"Baby, it's okay. I'm not angry." She assures you by hugging you back, but when her hands come in contact with the tattoo, you gasp against her, and Wanda pulls away immediately, but you break the embrace with a confused look.
"What did you do?"
"N-nothing, I just touched-"
"Do it again." You ask, and Wanda swallows dryly at the intensity of your gaze, but moves closer, resting her forehead against yours and letting a hand land on your tattoo. You moan in satisfaction, and she feels her face warm to the sound, pulling her face away to rest on your shoulder so she can see what is happening. She frowns as she sees the tattoo’s golden slowly fading away, along with the black color of her fingers.
"Detka what…?"
But you don't let her complete, pulling away to rest your forehead against hers again. "Thank you." You whisper and break the distance, making Wanda gasp in surprise. But she missed this so much, that she kisses you back in the next second, feeling a familiar twinge in her abdomen when you sigh in contentment and slide your tongue against hers.
The kiss gradually gains intensity, and your leg meets the middle of hers, pressing her against the cabinet, and Wanda's instinctive reaction is to dig her nails into your back, making you break the kiss with a moan mixed with pleasure and something else, opening your golden eyes at her.
"Sorry." Wanda murmurs in a husky voice, lips swollen from kissing hard and eyes completely darkened.
You shook your head, smiling at her with the worst of intentions. "It felt good." You whisper, shuddering as Wanda's nails scratch a path down to your hips. "So bad to stop."
"Why stop?" Wanda asks confused, chasing your mouth for a few instants, and making you use all mental and physical control to push away your face from her with a soft grunt.
"We're not alone, sweetheart. And we have business to attend to." You say with a casual that doesn't match the way you're feeling your body weak right now. Wanda is ready to insist, to say you could send America for a walk because she really wants you to kiss her again when you let out a weak sigh and sit down quickly in the tub with a pained expression.
"Y/N?" She asks worriedly kneeling down beside you.
"I lied before." You grumble clamping a hand over your right eye. "I'm not fine."
Wanda sighs in concern bringing a hand to your cheek: "Tell me how to help you."
"I don't know sweetheart, but maybe the Asgardian doctor would be a good start." You whisper and Wanda nods, squeezing your hand.
"We'll figure it out." She says. "Together."

This week’s voices unlimited issue seems like something you’d enjoy (Idk if you keep up with it).
I’d love to hear your thoughts on walpurgis but I don’t want to spoil anything
Oh, I absolutely loved it. Oliveira has proven himself as one of, if not the strongest writers on the Unlimited platform, and he usually has a really good approach to young adult and teen characters, so I'm looking forward to seeing where this new run is going.
For anyone who missed it, Oliveira is writing a new run of the Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic. Each installment features a different young hero who ends up being recruited, for unknown reasons, by an older established hero. Last week, it was Aaron Fischer and Captain Marvel, this week, it was Brielle Brooks and Doctor Voodoo. The issue opens with Brielle saving her friend Jayden from the Temple of the Shifting Sun-- a vampire cult that's obsessed with finding ways to cure their vampirism and/or become daywalkers, which, unfortunately, usually involves human sacrifice.
It turns out that Agatha Harkness recently became the Temple's leader, and the whole thing was an elaborate ruse to draw Brielle out of hiding so that Agatha could offer to tutor Brielle and help her expand her powers... which is an extremely Agatha stunt to pull. Fostering young supernatural talent-- and dictating their choices whenever possible-- is her favorite pastime, and she's very interesting in anything to do with the Darkhold these days, so it makes sense that she'd set her sights on a young half-vampire. Agatha leaves without much complaint when Brielle turns her down, but before she leaves, she gives Brielle a cute little purple kitten named Walpurgis!
Tumblr media
Obviously, the stuff with Brielle and Jayden was great, and seeing Brielle link up with Jericho was really cool, too-- there's an immediate sense of solidarity between them, and they get some good digs in on white folks in the magic scene, like Agatha and Stephen. But there are were a lot of other cool details and continuity pulls that I want to highlight--
The Temple of the Shifting Sun first appeared in West Coast Avengers (2018), where they tried to sacrifice America Chavez for similar reasons. Kate Bishop's mother, Eleanor, is a vampire herself and was working with the Temple at that time. Eleanor's storyline was picked up in Voices Infinity #17, also by Oliveira.
According to Agatha, the Temple vampires worship the Demiurge. This is another instance where Earth's Demiurge is clearly being conflated with Billy Kaplan, which is a continuity error and, in my opinion, a really bad choice, but Oliveira seems to be committed to it. That said, at the time that WCA was written, there was a direct connection between Billy-as-Demiurge and America's mystical powers, so that is a clever through-line.
This is honestly some of the best writing Agatha's had in years, probably since before Midnight Suns. She feels more in-character than she did in Contest of Chaos, or even in that Hulkling & Wiccan series. It also re-established that she's centuries old and has had many names, which I thought was neat.
I'm very curious about Walpurgis the cat. First of all, I was just happy to see Ebony again, and I love the idea of her having a litter of magic kittens, but Walpurgis is suspiciously... purple. It might just be to match Brielle's hair, but purple is also Agatha's signature color, and I wonder if she created and/or enchanted the cat to spy on Brielle and Jericho.
Agatha's going to be the antagonist in the Strange Academy tie-in for Blood Hunt, so this might be an early prelude to that. Vampires and witches and headmasters!

Can you please write First Christmas as a couple prompt - 20. trying to buy the moon for their S/O because everything else wouldn't be enough, for 616 Stephen Strange? 🥺
Hope you like it💓🫶🏻
Would you even like it?
Tumblr media
Pairing: Doctor Strange x Fem!Reader
Doctor Strange & Wong & Fem!Reader & America chavez
Summary: Coming up on Christmas, Stephen has practically no idea what to get you. Unexpectedly, Wong gives him a crazy idea.
Tumblr media
“You need to calm down, Stephen.” Wong's cool voice did not calm the sorcerer at all.
“What if she doesn’t like it, though?” Stephen’s voice full of fustration made Wong look at him with concern.
“I’m sure she’ll like it.” The sorcerer supreme assumed that it wouldn't be too difficult to go shopping with Stephen, but he was so terribly mistaken.
The ex-doctor never really enjoyed shopping, to be honest. Stephen didn't like shopping for clothes or jewelry or spending hours looking around for something he might like. Although it was difficult to find something beautiful or worthy of you, you did deserve something from the sorcerer. All he accomplished was to aggravate his headache, but hey, it's Christmas.
The fact that it was in two weeks wasn't important; it wasn't the point.
So that's why they were out in Paris looking for presents at 10 in the morning, which was way too early for them both. They might not have been so exhausted if it weren't for the fact that night had fallen in America, but let's ignore that.
Why was it so much simpler to buy anything for America or Wong? It was so unfair.
“Look, Stephen. We have been already going throughout this city for at least two hours. I’m sure that she’ll like the necklace.” Wong added, just wishing that Stephen would actually want to go back to the Sanctum. He was exhausted and he really did need to sleep at least 6 hours.
“I don’t know—it’s kind of a cliche.” Stephen started to pace around “Don’t you think that it’s like—very basic?” Without even glancing at Wong, he ran a palm over his face.
Wong eventually stopped even listening to the neurosurgeon when he began to ramble on senselessly. That was absurd. Given that Stephen will give it to you, it stands to reason that you would enjoy it. Sometimes, the two of you were too madly in love to even acknowledge the outside world.
“Are you even paying attention?” Stephen interrupted Wong's train of thought by yelling at him.
"Honestly, no" Can anyone really blame him, though? “Stephen, if you are really going to stress over this, you might as well buy the moon for her.”
Wong didn't believe he would regret saying anything, but when he saw Stephen's expression significantly alter, he did. Oh boy, he recognized that expression on his face.
“You're the best, Wong.” the sorcerer spoke before creating a portal and disappearing through it
He really wasn't going to try to take the moon, was he?
Tumblr media
He couldn't pretend that he wasn't initially scared. Even though what he did was rather insane, it eventually turned out okay.
Not only that, but a star is literally a huge, slowly revolving cloud made entirely of hydrogen and helium. Of course, casting a spell to make it little could have caused a lot of issues to occur.
But he made sure it was secure since he wouldn't want you to get injured because of him. Of course, as the star itself gets hotter and denser, a protostar in the shape of a ball results. However, he was able to place it in a transparent comparison.
Stephen checks the necklace while feeling somewhat proud of himself. He didn't truly believe he crossed a line with this. Even if he did missed two nights of sleep, it was still definitely worth it.
Additionally, the spell he created didn't completely obliterate the yard from Kamar-taj, so that’s a bonus.
Uh—In a sense, Maxim Primer's book really did save his life.
He could not deny that the genuine star he placed in the necklace was anything less than fucking spectacular as he grasped it in his hands. Since he has run out of ideas, he is genuinely hoping that you would like the necklace as a gift.
Tumblr media
He was back at the Sanctum and as soon as he had finished wrapping your gift, you walked into the bedroom.
“Hey, what’s that?”Even though you were aware that it was one of the Christmas gifts, you still asked.
The small item vanished into thin air with the snap of his fingers as he turned around and grabbed your hand, pulling you ever so slightly closer to him.
“That was your gift.” A smile growed on his face as you pressed a kiss onto his lips, sweet and tender and a bit slow. Once the two of you parted, a shy smile appeared ok your face as you asked “And you’re not going to tell me what’s inside?”
“You're going to have wait till Christmas like everyone else is” he said as he clasped your hands in his and gazed into your mesmerizing eyes.
"What a pity" you uttered in a pretended sorrowful tone.
Even though the second kiss from him was equally brief as the first, it satiated both of your wants.
You let out a small laugh and Stephen thought that he was going to melt right away over how sweet you sounded.
“You’re going to need to stop because you’re going to make me spill the surprise I have for you” Stephen gave you such a loving gaze that it made your heart race.
“Would it really be that bad?” You said as you began to lightly run your finger over his chest.
“Yes, it would.” His head was now leaning over your shoulder and as he leaned closer he released your hand. A smile returned to your face as soon as Stephen's hand touched your own back. Like only a lover could, you were so close to him. You were nearby mentally as much as physically.
You knew Stephen well, he trusted you with his secrets, and you did the same. This clossness was something else, it was intimate, even though the two of you weren’t pressed to each other, bare skin on skin, you two became one. This feeling was so much more.
“So you really won’t tell me?” You asked as he hugged you tighter.
“Not even a chance darling.”
Tumblr media
Thanks to America yelling, both of you are awake. At 8:00, you and Stephen both needed to get out of bed. The girl was so excited to be finally celebrating Christmas again after so long. Since she hasn't received gifts for six years, you, Wong, and Stephen made sure that she will be given everything she has ever wanted this year.
But of course she wanted to open the presents right away, she didn’t even want to have breakfast.
Reluctantly, you tore the warm covers off of you and got out of the cozy bed. As you two moved down the corridor, Stephen, who had already gotten out of bed, brought you a cup of coffee. You walked into the living room as you started to hold hands with him and sat down on the couch, seeing America already ripping the paper from each of her presents pretty fiercely.
While America was still concentrating on her gifts, Stephen seized the chance to snap his fingers, causing a small box covered in gold paper to materialize in his hands.
He handed you the box and said, "Merry Christmas, sweetheart."
You carefully removed the golden wrapping paper and exposed a little black box. You lifted the lid to show a stunning gold necklace that had something sparkling so brightly, but you weren't sure what it was.
You were perplexed as you watched Stephen scratch the back of his neck, perhaps out of embarrassment, though there was really nothing he had to be embarrassed about.
“It’s um— a star.” He stated as he looked straight into your eyes.
“Like a real star? From our galaxy?” you looked at him as you quite didn’t believe his words.
“Yep.” Stephen said, popping the ‘p’ which gave away how nervous he actually wad.
“You’re insane.” You smiled brightly at him, not really believing what he has done as you kissed him on the cheek. “But I love it.” He then ran his hand down the lenght of your face and kissed you tenderly on your lips.
Both of you heard the sound of a camera and stopped suddenly looking at America as she grinned looking at her phone. “I hope you both know that album I was making last month, is still in need of a lot of photos.”
“How many exactly?” Stephen asked as he looked at a girl with a soft smile.
“Well the page of Christmas 2024 is literally blank right now so I can take as many as I want.” America said as she got on the floor next to where you two were standing and took a quick selfie of the three of you.
Gosh, you loved your little family, even if it was a little strange.

Holding my Black queer girls real close today.
Representation really does matter and the fact of the matter is that it's just so nice to be able to see yourself on the screen- big or small. Yes, Black and POC folks understand the point of universal themes and how you can find parallels in stories that often lack us, but sometimes it's just nice to look at a screen and see someone that looks like you and sounds like you.
Personally, I have been waiting basically 84 years to see a badass Black Vampire/Monster-slaying woman on screen, ever since Rona showed up on season 7 of Buffy. Heck, I just knew we were going to get a spinoff about the Hellmouth in Cleveland and Rona was going to be leading the charge! Obviously, that didn't happen, but some 20 years later (holy crap!) in comes Ms. Calliope Burns/Imani Lewis and the possibilities were endless. The potential was there! I didn't need First Kill to be perfect, nor should it have to be. It was a fun premise that was focused on the characters who would otherwise be sidelined in other shows. And damn it, it was just fun.
The most hurtful thing of course is the very loss of a character like Calliope Burns, and the Burns family for that matter. The last few years of superhero films/tv shows have both given and taken away. Yes, we got the women of Black of Panther, Misty Knight, Monica Rambeau, Maria Rambeau, Ryan Wilder, Sophie Moore, Anissa, and Jennifer Pierce. That list has gotten a bit smaller and other than the BP women, the Rambeaus remain and even then Maria may just be a memory. (Ugh it hurts to write that.) I won't pretend that the entertainment business is easy, but it certainly seems like the stories and characters that are expendable, more often than not, belong to those of us often pushed to the margins. We cannot and we must not overlook the fact that First Kill had a dark-skinned Black co-lead, a Black woman showrunner, and a crew/staff full of women and queer people. Additionally, we cannot overlook that the folks making decisions about these shows tend to be cis white heterosexual men. It is really hard to make/keep diverse content if BIPOC arent' even in the room.
Anyway, deep sigh. I'm doing all this rambling to say that it sucks to lose this show in general. It sucks to lose this over-the-top, enemies to lovers to enemies fated love story. And it is extra awful to lose a young Black QUEER/LESBIAN character with so much potential. To get a character with agency and vulnerability. A character with some flaws but also with such strength. (And obviously, the accolades should go to Imani, Felicia, and the writers for not just creating some stereotype.) We deserve all the things. The great characters and even the crappy ones. We deserve camp and frivolity. We deserve to be superheroes and super villains. And again, we deserve all the things because our stories matter. And we should be allowed to escape into fantasy and build worlds upon worlds.
So, yes, I'm going to be cranky for a bit on this one because it feels like one after another. And to make matters worse, it feels like there's no place to go. HBO sure as hell ain't saving Batwoman, because they won't even let Batgirl (what in thee whole frak is that! I'm sorry to Leslie Grace.) see the light of day and Disney is too busy running paperbag tests (I will be mad about America Chavez's casting forever!) to be bothered. Although, crazier things have happened and maybe Netflix will be financially bothered enough to either sell the rights or give it a proper series finale. Give me a freaking 2hr movie at this point.
So, to my queer babies who feel like they are going through it right now, be easy with yourself. Kick and scream and fight and rage. Write and create and keep putting it out there in the world. And if no one has said it today: You Matter. Your stories Matter. You belong. And You have something to say.

Godusa - Prologue
Rating: T
Alright. Well. I’m actually doing this. Cool, cool cool cool.
Well, first things first. I started writing this about a month ago and literally just finished writing it. So it’s safe to say that updates will vary. It may take me months to even finish Chapter 1 (which I haven’t even started on). This is an idea that I've had for quite a while, and the basic planned plot line is there, I just have to get it on paper.
Fair warning, this story is going to potentially dive into multiple other MCU properties. And relationships in this series will only be platonic unless stated otherwise.
I own none of the characters shown/mentioned other than my OC Elina (which you can learn more about here, but only if you don’t mind being spoiled on her backstory). Rating may change overtime as well.
“I require your assistance.”
Elina looked up from her book to see Wong standing at the library entrance. “Assistance with what exactly?”
After the whole Scarlet Witch fiasco a few months ago, and America began her studies in the mystic arts at Kamar-Taj, Elina stayed to help reconstruct the temple. Since she had nothing better to do, and with America being in good hands and not needing Elina’s protection like the teen used too, Elina was happy to help.
Though, once reconstruction was complete, Wong asked her to stay in the temple for the time being, wanting to keep a close eye on the multiversal traveler. And while Elina understood his caution, she was starting to grow bored. There was only so much the young avatar could do without leaving the premises. So, she often passed the time in the library, reading mystical textbooks that were in abundance. This is where Wong found the girl. Sitting at a table, surrounded by stacks of books, delving deep into a book covering the known history of Ta-Lo.
“Well, you’ve been expressing your displeasure these past few weeks regarding your stay here-“ Wong began before Elina cut in.
“Wong. You know that I’m extremely thankful for allowing me and America to stay here. But it’s been a few months, and I’m beginning to grow a bit restless.”
Wong nods his head in understanding. “Yes, I imagine you’re not used to staying in one place for this long? Especially with your kind of lifestyle.”
Elina didn’t know if he was referring to her multiversal traveling or something else. “That’s putting it lightly.”
Wong walks away from the library entrance and towards Elina’s table. “Which is why I have decided to allow you to assist the London sanctum with a task.”
Elina’s interest peaked. “What kind of task exactly?”
“They’ve recently gotten a hold of an artifact of Egyptian origin. And seeing your…obvious relations, I was hoping you could assist them in identifying it?” Wong asked her.
Elina paused for a moment, contemplating his request. After a few seconds, she replied. “I’ll have to talk to him first, if that’s okay?”
Wong nodded back at her in understanding. “Of course, take all the time you need.” He began his way back towards the library entrance. “You know where to find me.”
Elina nodded her head absently as Wong retreated from the library. Once his footsteps faded, Elina stood up from her chair, closing the book she was reading. Seeing as she was done reading for the day, she put all the books on the table back in their respective places, the librarian giving her a small nod in thanks as she left the library.
Walking down the long outside walkway of the temple, Elina catches a glimpse of a group sorcerer's training in the courtyard. Among those training was America Chavez. The whole reason for Elina being here. After defeating Infinity Ultron, Elina was instructed by the Watcher to protect the girl as she traveled the Multiverse. Elina doesn’t exactly know how long she and America have been traveling together, but it was enough time for the two girls to become great friends, even see each other as sisters.
From the corner of her eye, America sees Elina. She enthusiastically waves at Elina, a glowing grin on her face. Elina smiles and waves back before America’s attention goes back at her teacher. After a few moments, Elina continues on to her destination.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elina soon finds herself back in her room, given to her by the sanctum sorcerers as a place to live for the duration of her stay (however long that may be). Instinctively glancing at her surroundings, her eyes stop on the set of pictures sitting on the side table. Picking up a photo, she sits on her bed and looks at it, seemingly dazed. Lost in her thoughts, the girl doesn’t detect the presence of an individual until they speak.
“Why the tears, young one?”
Elina wasn’t aware she was crying. Now aware of the tear stains on her cheeks, she quickly puts the photo back on the nightstand and wipes her eyes. After clearing her face, she looks up at the figure in her room, Khonshu. Egyptian god of the moon, and her caretaker.
“Hey Khon.” She rasps out, setting the photo back down on the table. “How are you?”
“I should be asking you that young one. I was only gone for a few hours, what happened?” Khonshu gently asked the girl.
Elina shook her head. “Nothing. I was just…reminiscing I guess. About the past.”
Khonshu tutted at her, taking his hand and placing it on her head, gently petting her hair. “What have I said about this? There’s no use shedding tears over the past like this.”
“I know, I know. I just…I miss them so much.” Elina mumbles back to him. “It’s been years, I know. But that doesn’t change the fact that I miss them.”
“They wouldn’t want you spilling tears over them. What’s done is done. There’s nothing that could’ve been done.”
Elina nods her head in understanding. “I know, Khon.” She takes a deep breath before continuing. “Wong came to the library to ask me to help with something.”
“And what exactly would the Sorcerer Supreme of this Earth want from my avatar?” Khonshu asked her as he set his hand back down to his side.
“He asked me if I could help the sorcerers of the London Sanctum identify an artifact they found-“ Elina started before Khonshu interrupted her mid sentence.
“Absolutely not!” He replied, bristled. If the old bird still had his feathers, they would surely be ruffled.
“Khon…” Elina softly interjects before Khonshu continues on.
“We’ve avoided the attraction of the gods of the Overvoid for so long during our time here. We cannot afford to garner any more than we already have when we first arrived here.”
“…You know what the artifact is, don’t you?” Elina accuses him. “That’s why you’re so worried.”
He lets out a long sigh, shaking his head. “It’s times like this where I curse that you were gifted with the worm's intelligence.”
Elina rolled her eyes at the nickname. It came from a place of respect, Elina knew that. But at the same time, it was condescending to her papa.
“Khon.” She interjects again. “If we’re going to stay here, even if it isn’t indefinitely, it’s only a matter of time before we come across some trouble of some sort. I can’t stay at the temple forever.”
The god let out another heavy sigh. After a few moments, he speaks up. “You’re right. It’s just been so quiet. I’ve been hoping that you would continue to keep your head down, after everything you’ve been through these past few years. You deserve to rest.”
Elina smiled plaintively at the moon god, grabbing his free hand that wasn’t holding his staff. “And you of all people should know by now that I can’t do that.” she murmured.
The god squeezes her hand in reassurance. “I know that, young one. But I can’t help but wish, and I know I can’t stop you. It’s not in your nature.” He chuckles. “Something you get from your mother.”
Elina snorts. “If I didn’t know better, you just complimented her.”
“What can I say, she grew on me over time.”
Elina laughs, much to the gods pleasure, happy that he cheered the girl up, even momentarily. “Man, she’d be gobsmacked if she heard you say that about her.”
The god titters. “Alright, that is enough. I have a reputation to maintain. Can’t have others knowing I grew soft.”
Elina rolls her eyes at that, knowing he’s just saying that to move the conversation on. “So….you’ll let me do this then?”
“You and I both know you were planning on going with or without my permission.”
Elina chuckles once more, letting go of his hand. “It’s like you said big bird, you grew soft.”
Khonshu grumbles before he disappears out of thin air, leaving small trails of sand in his place.
Elina smirks, knowing that she was right. Even if the god wanted to disagree for appearances sake and save his reputation. But the girl had the god wrapped around her finger ever since she was a child. There was no lying to her. Standing up, she glances once more at the photo before retreating from her room, heading off to find Wong.
She wouldn’t know it at the time, but Khonshu had every right to be worried. For Elina Spector-Grant had already got the attention from his own variant. And his avatar was already on the lookout.

Wundagore Mountain
This was in my draft for a LONG time. A lot happened since I started writing, but here’s my interpretation of how they could have added Peter Maximoff in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness without completely changing the story. Enjoy!
Summary: As she reaches Wundagore Mountain, Wanda finds out that someone is already waiting for her there.
Words: 1103
Tumblr media
Wundagore Mountain was beautiful, it was tall, grandiose, and powerful; it had survived everything the world had thrown at it and came out triumphant. It was a temple made for her. Wanda could feel the way Wong was wary of the place, but she didn’t care; this place wasn’t made for the Sorcerer Supreme. She quietly observed the statues and the engravings in the stone, they were imbued with the very same magic she possessed. It sang in unison, welcoming the one they had been expecting for so long. She let the power of the place envelop her like a shawl, it felt delightful, like she truly belonged here. She walked away from the walls to approach the flat stone surface engraved with runes, picturing the way she would use it to take America Chavez’s powers. A smile bloomed on her face, she might have lost the girl and put Strange against her earlier, but things were starting to look up for her.
“I was starting to wonder if you would actually come,” suddenly said a voice from the darkness.
She whipped her head around in fury, catching Wong’s eyes who seemed completely clueless. The voice made her skin crawl because she knew who it was, and the fact that he had waited here of all places only made her blood boil hotter. Her eyes scanned her surroundings to try to find a glimpse of the impostor, but he was surprisingly well hidden.
“Show yourself,” she ordered, tainting her voice with magic to make sure he’d obey.
However, the only response she had was a light chuckle. “You trying to be tough, sis? There’s a reason why witchy had to use a necklace.”
“You’re not my brother,” she hissed as the ground shook around them from her frustration.
“Maybe not here,” echoed the voice from her left before suddenly coming from her right. “But you’re telling me you don’t feel our connection?”
That damned connection, the one she had blindly believed back in Westview. The one she could still feel at this very moment despite her best effort to ignore it.
“No, I don’t,” she lied. “Everything about you is a lie.”
“Says the one who created an entire world to live out her fantasy,” said the impostor, suddenly sounding a lot closer than he had just a second ago. “Could have done without that.”
“You don’t get to tell me what to do. You’re nothing.”
He scoffed at her remark, before stepping out of the shadows. He didn’t look different from the night he had appeared on her doorstep; save for the now silver jacket he was wearing and the goggles over his eyes. She hated just how unbothered he looked, how unfazed he was by the sheer power surrounding them. But most of all, she despised the fact that her magic didn’t even register him as a threat. It sickened her to realize that it was even worse than that.
Because her magic considered him as family.
She seethed in anger at that thought and shot a spell toward the imposter. The impact resonated around them, shooting rocks everywhere and sending debris high in the air. Wanda walked over to the spot, silently hoping that she had hit her mark, but she disappointingly realized that she had only made a hole in the floor.
“You know, I had a sister too, but she died, like your Pietro.” She turned around to see him casually sitting on the stone altar, one leg folded up and being used as an armrest while the other was dangling down, he wasn’t even looking at her. She used his seemingly distracted state to try to grab him, but he was gone by the time her red wisps reached his spot.
She furiously searched for him and found him leaning against a pillar. “I have to say though, I was promised a chance to see her again, to make things right, but you’re not making it easy.”
“Who promised you that?” Wanda hissed.
“Do you really want an answer?” He spat out. “You tried to kill me twice in the last five minutes alone.”
“Tell me!” She screamed, making the temple tremble under her anger. To her annoyance, there wasn’t even a hint of fear in the man’s face. Even Stephen Strange had the decency to appear frightened, even for just a moment. Was the speedster truly fearless or was he simply stupid?
“Your neighbor, Agatha. She took me from my world, saying that I could save you and make things right. I realized it was a trick too late and she turned me in her puppet.”
She narrowed her eyes at that. “How?”
He scoffed at her as he fidgeted with the cord of his earphones. “You think I’m going to tell you that? I don’t want you messing with my head. Sister or not.”
“We are not family,” she hissed. “My real brother is dead; you’ll never be my Pietro.”
“Likewise,” he snorted, walking away from the pillar. “You’re not exactly living up to the standard my sister set. I mean, hunting down a kid? Not great.”
“You don’t know me! You don’t know my reasoning!” Wanda roared, sending a destructive spell toward the impostor, hoping that it would hit its mark this time. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the case, all she managed was to create a big crater in the floor. Even more frustrating was that he hadn’t even bothered to hide this time. He was standing next to the indentation in the floor, looking down before looking at her with an unimpressed look on his face.
“See ya around sis,” the man started walking away before turning back to her. “If you eventually come out of your little power trip, you know how to contact me.”
Then, the speedster was gone in a blur, sending the dust that had just settled down back in the air. Then the silence was back, leaving her to ponder on everything that had just happened.
“Nice family you got there,” sarcastically remarked Wong.
“He is not my family,” she snapped, her eyes still on the spot her ‘brother’ had been a moment ago. “He is an obstacle in my way and he’s easily disposable, just like you are. So I suggest you think before you speak.”
The sorcerer didn’t reply, he merely rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to the temple, just like she did. Brother or not, that wasn’t what mattered. What did matter, was finding a way to take America Chavez’s powers and get her boys back.
She’d deal with her fake brother later.

20 Questions for Writers
I was tagged by @sinvulkt for this 20 Questions for Writers ask game!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
On AO3... i only have 12 currently. (On FFN however... I have 67 lol)
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
107,857
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Primarily Marvel nowadays, specifically Doctor Strange (MCU)! But I've also consistently written for Danny Phantom, and also delved into Pokemon, Teen Titans, TMNT, Warriors Cats and Twilight back in the day... its a lot lol.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Golden Gate's Heroes - a Venom and Ant-Man/MCU crossover from before NWH/Venom 2. It has 2,238 kudos as of posting!
Displaced Phantom - a DP and MCU crossover, 577 kudos
Stars Will Light the Way - What If...? Strange Supreme met America Chavez? The longest fic I've posted lol, 476 kudos
alive - an introspective look at Mewtwo, assuming the one from Detectice Pikachu is the same as the one from Pokémon: The First Movie, 420 kudos
through the multiverse - connected drabbles following the Guardians of the Multiverse from the first season of What If...? 329 kudos
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to! Sometimes I might not see it or forget to reply if I don't reply right away lol, but I love engagement on my fics and I always want to make sure I thank everyone for reading!
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Uh. Hmm. I actually... don't know? Maybe one of my post-Infinity War pre-Endgame Doctor Strange fanfics, like Eidetic or death is an old friend? Just because they end with Infinity War and that was tbh a kinda angsty ending...  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Probably has to be Stars Will Light the Way, tbh. Most of my fics are fairly "happy" tbh but so many are oneshots and anthologies, that this seems like the best pick.
8. Do you get hate on your fic?
I've gotten maybe one "hate" comment, just telling me my pacing was too slow for their liking or something like that lol. But generally, my audience has been very nice!
9. Do you write smut?
Nope!
10. Do you write crossovers?
OH YEAH!! A good chunk of my old fanfics on FFN were crossovers lol. Actually my first several fics were all crossovers I'm pretty sure. I love a good crossover...
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I am aware of... and don't get any ideas folks!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Um... no, I don't think so!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Nope!
14. What‘s your all-time favourite ship?
Uhhhh.... hmmm.... its hard to say. I am very much a multishipper - I'll ship one guy with quite a few other characters if the dynamic could even conceivably work. But I also tend to prefer gen-fic or found family fics too...? But um. Uh. All-time favorite ship is probably Eddie/Venom. I will not elaborate further.
15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Gosh ok it's this Blue Beetle fic, with Jaime from the Young Justice cartoon swapping places with Jaime from the movie. I just... idk how I want to end it so it's been sitting on my laptop, mostly untouched since like. September or October of 2023. Whoops...
16. What’s your writing strengths?
Idk lol, um... getting into the heads of the characters I write?? I've been told that I can capture certain characters really well, at least.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
17. What’s your writing weaknesses?
Fight scenes can be a little tough for me to write... but also. I procrastinate on writing sometimes, and i'm terrible at planning fics out fully before i start them... so if I don't write scenes and ideas down, they're gone, and then I don't know what to write for my fic, and then the fic never gets finished 🙃
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Eh, depends on the language - I took enough Spanish to be able to pull it off, I think, and I also have a few coworkers who speak Spanish fluently who will make sure I'm doing it right if/when I use it. Other than that, I'm not sure if I trust Google Translate enough to write dialogue in any other language...
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Omg... apparently... it was a crossover between Danny Phantom and Warriors (the books about the cats)... I figured it would be Danny Phantom but that. That is hilarious to me. I really was a Warriors Cats kid....
20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?
It's gotta be Stars Will Light the Way. Idk man, it just... it may not be as popular as Golden Gate's Heroes, but it's currently the longest fic I've ever written and published and FINISHED, and im so proud of that. The fact that even 400+ people liked it enough to give it a kudos... I wrote that fic for me, so to know others liked it too means the world to me.
I know you're supposed to tag people for these things, but. I always feel like I'm bothering people when I do. Even though some of my mutuals, I know y'all write fic... so if you see this and want to go for it, any of my mutuals or followers, go for it, consider yourself tagged!

I loved the Endgame episode and I think I will never stop feeling salty about the movie and everything it did (and everything it caused in the rest of the MCU).
I loved how you mentioned Tony's villain arc because YES. it would have been SO good if they actually meant to do that!
But yeah, so much salt about this movie. So much salt about how the characters were treated. This movie made me feel silly for caring about the characters and the franchise and I hate when that happens. And unfortunately, it's been happening so much more, because like you said it feels like so many shows and movies just don't have a plan and don't have good writing and ugh we need more people who care to write stories because that's what makes stories actually good!
Anyway, I refuse to acknowledge the ending of endgame happened. Ever. Because it was awful and it wasn't Steve. He may have looked like Steve but that's not my Steve!
But, yeah, great episode. I loved the salt. And I love the podcast in general. It makes my commuting a lot better!
It would have been GENIUS if they really meant to have Tony's arc be a well-meaning villain. It would have been so fascinating and so relevant, I think.
And yes, like... that Kevin Feige quote that they "don't like to hire writers who really love Marvel because then they're too tied to the characters and source material" made me feel really stupid. Multiverse of Madness made me feel like an idiot for loving WandaVision and Wanda, and even for being excited about America Chavez. It's such a bizarre storytelling strategy, and honestly IMO it's a bizarre business strategy, but obviously it's not like Marvel lacks for cash.
And yes, the ending of EG was Not Real because Steve is ON THE MOON. And Wanda, who IS NOT DEAD, will bring him back.

Summary: America Chavez gave Wanda what she wanted, Wanda sees the love of her life again from another universe. However, her lover's variant already build a life without her...
Y/n sits on the sofa with a huff and turned on the TV to watch whatever was available on Netflix, "What a day..." he said to himself. He loved his new job, but of course like any other person he just needed some time alone.
He scrolled to the various crappy movies and series that he hadn't watch. Deciding that he just wanted something light, he put on a sitcom that he watched many times with his late wife a few years ago. It felt weird not watching it with her even until now, but he remembered how much his wife loved re-watching the sitcom over and over to the point where she could recite every single episode by heart.
Y/n smiled at the memory, when the two used to binge watch Brooklyn 99 at the common room of the compound. Wanda even got to the point where she hosted a 'Halloween Heist', but it ultimately stopped after two heist when Natasha won in less than 10 minutes, yes both heist. Honestly they should've known better than to have those kind of heist games with a well renowned international spy.
At least they still have a few rounds of 'Jimmy Jabs' games.
Except they dialed the extremeness to a 10 considering they were the Avengers. We don't have to get into details, but due to the techs that they have and the powers they own, things get very interesting quite quickly.
Well almost everything in his life was interesting, I mean he's surrounded by gods, witches, spies. Not a single day in his life was ordinary...
Including today, when a portal in the shape of a star appeared out of nowhere right in front of him. The portal it self did not shock him in the slightest. What did shock him though was the fact that the love of his life, his wife, his soulmate who died years ago, was now standing right in front of him in the flesh.
Y/n was speechless. Ever more so, the fact that Wanda was choking what it looks like no more than 14 year old girl. "Wanda, what are you doing?!"
"Y/n..." Wanda breathed out, her grip on the girl loosen. The 14 year old girl then fell to the gasping for air. "I- I didn't..."
Y/n stood up from the couch, he couldn't move. His dead wife was alive right before his eyes, either she had rise from the dead or... well, there was only one other possibility.
She was from another universe.
No doubt in his mind that she was. In Y/n's universe, they knew the existence of the multiverse. "I just wanted to see you again." Wanda said with teary eyes.
Being a former SHIELD agent, he was quick to piece the puzzle together. This Wanda must be from a Universe where he had died. He tried to stay calm for her, even though inside, seeing Wanda again brought back so many memories. Happy ones, but most notably the painful one.
Particularly, a memory of the day he lost her.
Wanda noticed that Y/n had been silent the whole time, she hung her head in shame. "I'm a monster..."
Y/n's heart broke at her words. "No... Lyubov, don't say that." He approached her slowly and gently lifted her chin so her eyes meets his.
Gazing into the eyes of the woman he loves that died years ago was something that would never have crossed his mind. It took every, by that I mean EVERYTHING in his power to not breakdown right in front of her.
Little did he know Wanda felt the same, however the difference was her wound was still fresh. Staring into his beautiful eyes again, it broke her. Wanda broke down and pulled him into a hug, taking in everything she could.
His scent, his warmth, his comfort.
She cried on to his shoulders, and Y/n simply held her. It felt good, really good. To be in his arms again. To have Y/n hold her like he used too.
“I miss you, so much." She told him between sobs.
"I miss you too." Y/n responded. Wanda pulled back and rested her forehead against his with her eyes closed. The two stayed like that for a little while, yet the question still lingers in Y/n's mind. Why was Wanda choking an innocent little girl?
It seems like his mind is louder than he thought as Wanda answered the question. "I... When you died, I couldn't- I couldn't move on." She told him hesitantly as she opened her eyes. Fear and guilt painted over her face as she thought of the potential reactions she would get from Y/n.
He glanced at the 14 year old girl behind her, Wanda noticed the way his eyes shifted. She felt the need to explain herself, he deserved to know the truth. To know the extent she went just to be with her lover again.
"I... I chased down, America Chavez. She was the key..." He shifted his eyes back to hers. Key?? "I tried to-" The words got stuck in her throat. "I tried to kill her..." She cried, hanging her head in shame. Y/n's eyes widen at her words.
Wanda... a killer? How bad was her universe treating her to the point where she goes to that extent??
An embrace, was the last thing Wanda had expected to receive from him. She expected a look of disappointment, shame, anger, yet all he did was simply pulled her into a hug.
"I understand."
That was when Wanda started crying against his chest. He was taller, so he kissed the top of her head lovingly. With her ears pressed against his chest, she could listen to his heartbeat. It was the calmest sound she hasn't heard in a while.
"I... I lost you, In my universe. I understand how you feel." Y/n remembered the day Wanda sacrificed herself for the soul stone. After the battle he begged, begged the Avengers to use the stones to bring her back. To have her in his arms again. To hold her...
Wanda felt his emotions. Anger, sadness, grief, Wanda felt it all as memory of her own death came back flooding his mind like a tidal wave. She held him tighter, knowing that he needed this just as much as she does. After a long while, they pulled back resting their foreheads against each other. Both with tears streaming down their eyes.
Wanda cupped his face, she felt Y/n leaning to her touch. When they gazed into each other once again, Wanda, without a second thought, pulled him down for a kiss.
Y/n reciprocated just as quick. Wanting to feel her soft lips after 4 long years. He missed it. Her soft touches, the taste of her lips, her beautiful voice. He missed her so dearly.
Wanda wrapped her arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. Holding onto his figure almost desperately. They held onto each other as they poured all the love they couldn't express with words through their actions.
After a long while, Wanda broke the kiss. "Let's not leave each other again."
Y/n clenched his jaw, he moved his hand from her waist to her face, caressing it. "I want that, more than anything..."
Wanda smiled, a genuine smile that she haven't had for the longest time. Yet... she noticed a hint of hesitation on Y/n's part. "What is it, love?"
He had to tell her, but he didn't know how. Y/n could tell she was broken, broken beyond repair that she goes to this extent. He doesn't know how to break the news to her. "Wands... I want you back, more than anything."
Slowly her smile fades. God he wishes he could bring it back.
"But... you can't stay here..."
That shattered Wanda's heart, "W-why?" Did he not love her just as much? He was a variant of her lover yes, but surely they would share the same love. Did he find someone else?? "What makes you say that?" She asked, from the tone of her voice Y/n could tell his words broke her heart.
"You can't... stay in my universe. And I can't- I can't stay in yours."
"W-why?"
"It would cause an incursion. It will destroy my universe and maybe even yours. I can't let that happen, Wands. I'm sorry." He told her gently while caressing her cheeks.
Her eyes started to pool again as she leaned to his touch. "Why... Why does it have to be like this- Why is the universe to cruel..."
Y/n wanted so badly to erase her sadness, her grief, to see her beautiful smile again. "If I was as powerful as you, I would've ventured across the multiverse for you. But, I'm just a human. The only thing I could do was... move on."
Move on
The word echoes in her head. Y/n had moved on. She looked at him in disbelief. "Move on?" Wanda breathed out.
Y/n clenched his jaw again, "Move on isn't the right word. You will always have a special place in my heart, but... I couldn't stay like that forever. I'm sorry, Wanda." He remembered the countless times he almost took his life, just to be with her again.
Wanda was... angry? Sad, heartbroken, deep down she understood. If she had died, she would've wanted him to live on. The same way her Y/n told her too. Yet part of her was still corrupted. How can he move on so quickly when she would destroy everything just to be with him again?
Anger was boiling inside her, before she could ask any further, they heard a little girl's voice. "Daddy?" Wanda was shocked to her core. Y/n... has a daughter.
Y/n quickly wiped his tears and turned around to face the 4 year old girl. "Heyy pumpkin." The little girl ran over to her father as he bent down to pick her up. "What are you doing up this late huh?" He asked her.
"Bad dream..." The little girl said while rubbing her eyes, yet it was clear she was still sleepy. Y/n turn to face Wanda with a gentle smile as he held his daughter.
Wanda was speechless, the sight... warmed her shattered heart. She was happy for him, but devastated that he had built a life... without her. The thought of Y/n having a kid, a family with someone else felt like a stab in her heart.
"Who's that?" The little girl asked, pointing at Wanda who was standing a few centimeters away from them with her hand on her chest. Trying so hard not to burst into tears.
Shit... how should he say this. "Honey, this is..." He wanted his daughter to know. But, she was too young. "...a very dear friend of mine. She has magical powers and came to visit me."
'Dear friend', so Wanda truly is out of his life.
The little girl waved at Wanda. "Hello!"
"Hi..." Wanda whispered. She wanted to hold the little girl. Wanda felt some sort of connection with her that she couldn't quite pin. It seems like the little girl felt the same as she leaned towards Wanda with grabby hands. Y/n took a few steps closer to Wanda, slowly.
"I think she wants to be held by you." Y/n said, looking at his daughter lovingly.
"May I?" Wanda asked, glancing at him. He nodded and gently moved his daughter onto Wanda's arms. The first thing the little girl did was reach up to touch her crown while giggling. “Oh-“
The action caused Wanda to laugh a little too. His daughter is beautiful. She definitely has her father’s hair. But her facial features probably leaned more towards her mother, whoever it is. Probably someone she knew as the little girl looked so... familiar.
“Magic?” The little girl asked.
Wanda smiled gently as she hovered her hand in front of the little girl. She projected a tiny rabbit that hopped around her hand, causing the little girl to giggle while clapping her hand. The bunny hopped around the little girl as well before disappearing into a red mist.
Unbeknownst to Wanda, Y/n doing everything in his powers not to break down at the sight before him. “Are you friends with my mama?
Wanda didn’t know how to answer that. “Um…”
“My daddy says my mama has magic powers, like you!” The little girl explained.
“Has your Mama talked about me?” Wanda asked, trying to keep her voice steady. The only other person who she know was a witch is Agatha.
"No..." The little girl said sadly. "Dad says she's somewhere up there." She pointed at the ceiling, Wanda understood what she meant. "He said we'll visit her one day!"
"Oh... I see." Well, what was she supposed to say. The little girl then played with her crown again, and Wanda lets her. Loving smile plastered on her face. It seems like the little girl was studying her face as well??
"You look a little bit like her?" Y/n's daughter blurted out. Could it be? No it can't be. "My mama had brown hair though, yours is red."
Deciding she didn't want to get her hopes up, she asked the girl a question. Hoping to steer the subject. "What's your name?"
"Wanda." The little girl answered, she was too pre occupied with Wanda's crown to notice the shift in Wanda's expression. "My daddy says my mama has the same name too." The little girl added.
Oh... It all makes sense now. The connection she felt toward the little girl.
Wanda finally glanced at Y/n who had a sorrow look plastered across his face. That was when she finally noticed the difference, this Y/n indeed looked much much older than the one from her universe. Her heart stammering in her chest. This wasn't just Y/n's daughter... It's their's.
Y/n approached the two of them, they didn't know how long time had passed. Probably a while, as little Wanda had decided to nestle on the crook of her mother's neck with her eyes closed. Wanda searched Y/n's eyes for explanation.
"You-" He corrected himself, "Her mother, had complications with pregnancy." He explained while tucking a hair behind his daughter's ear, watching her sleeping form with a small smile. "So, Tony made us an artificial womb to carry this little devil."
Wanda looked at his- her daughter's sleeping form. It felt surreal.
"But uh..." His voice cracked slightly, "Wanda and I got sent on a mission, to bring everyone back from the snap. We won... but I lost her." It was clear that the memory brought so much pain to him. "Not long after that this little bug was born. Wanda... never got to meet her. So I named her after her mother."
No wonder the girl looked familiar, she had took on most of Wanda's facial feature. Her nose, her face structure, but most notably her eyes. She looked exactly like how she was when she was younger.
"I would never forget you, Wanda." He whispered so only she could hear. Wanda glanced at Y/n who had tears in his eyes.
Wanda was at lost for words, the only thing she could came up with was. "She has your hair."
Y/n chuckles, "Yeah... that's kind of the only thing she got from me." He had a longing look as he stared at little Wanda holding onto her mother. A sight he wished he could've seen with his Wanda, but she was taken away from him before she could ever meet her own daughter. "I was lost for days, but then when she was born I-" He stopped himself, trying to find the right words. "I had to be strong, for her sake."
Y/n slowly wrap his arms around the two of them, the sight of the family was perfect. America, who had been watching their whole conversation was touched by the image. To see the contrast of how Wanda used her powers in front of her daughter. How tender she was, the power that caused so much chaos to be used in such a gentle way. It reminds her a little bit of her own mothers.
"If she wasn't here I-" Y/n's words got stuck in his throat, "I think I would've..." Yet Wanda knew what he meant, her heart shattered for him.
"Y/n..." Wanda closed the distance and rested their foreheads once more with their daughter sleeping soundly on her shoulder.
They stayed there for a few minutes, just enjoying the warmth from each other. Wanting so badly to be the perfect family that they could've been if the universe wasn't so cruel. Another thought creeped into his mind, how was he supposed to explain this to their daughter when she remembers?
Surely it was probably because of sleepiness that she couldn't properly remember her mother's face. But she has seen multiple pictures of her mother, how was he supposed to explain that this Wanda was a variant.
His thoughts was so loud that Wanda could hear it clearly. "It's ok." She said, giving him a reassuring smile. Wanda raised her hand slowly, little red mist emitting from the tip of her fingers. She tapped their daughter's temple ever so gently. Causing little Wanda to nestle further into her neck with a faint smile.
"Rest your head and go to sleep, little one. When you wake up, this will all just be a dream." Wanda whispered.
"Hey, pumpkin. Time to wake up." Wanda Y/l/n, slowly opened her eyes. She yawned and stretched her arms. Her father was smiling softly at her, she sat up on her bed and rubbed her eyes.
"I had a dream..." The little girl told her father. Unknown to her, Y/n tensed slightly.
"Was was it about?" He asked.
"Mama came to visit us instead." The little girl didn't understand why, but she felt extremely sad as she started to cry. Y/n was quick to pull her into a hug.
"Shhh... It's ok little one, don't you cry." He held his daughter as she cried in his arms. "Everything's gonna be alright."
"Why couldn't she stay?"
He thinks for a second before answering, "I know mommy's not here right now, but I promise she's gonna be alright."
And if you ask me to, daddy's gonna buy you a mockingbird. Imma give you the world. Imma buy a diamond ring for you, Imma sing for you, I'd do anything for you To see you smile

America Chavez Comics vs Multiverse of Madness
Once you know like the bare minimal of comic lore + the whitewashing and racism done to characters in the MCU, it's just like "why?" why would they do that?
I already didn't like Multiverse of Madness due to the whitewashing and racism surrounding MCU!Wanda Maximoff (otherwise called Wendy Mayomoff due to being played by a racist white woman). But whatever I was at least hoping to get something out of that movie when I watched it a while back. Spoiler Alert: I got nothing but racism and whitewashing and shitty writing. (shocker, said nobody ever).
But reading some of the West Coast Avengers (2018) issues/comics, you really get a feel for America Chavez as a character right off the bat. She's proud, loud, and in your face and it's fucking great. She's kicking ass, she's afro-latina and a lesbian and I love her as a character alright? (even though I haven't read like most of her stuff).
But if you take a look at Multiverse of Madness? That "adaptation" of America Chavez is not it at all. She's a plot device who doesn't do much, and the casting was undeniably whitewashed (this isn't hate against the actor for America Chavez or anything like that). Also America Chavez's comic hair type doesn't match the actress at all??
The article above pretty much lays out the issues with the casting plus it has comic book examples of America Chavez. Go check it out.
It's just like I'd like to believe the MCU can write better stories and better characters but they're consistently dropping the fucking ball of a tall ass cliff into a pit of lava (see the majority of minority character being adapted into the MCU: Wanda Maximoff, America Chavez, Sam Wilson, Jewish-erasure, Roma-erasure, and so on.) Sigh The MCU will do one or two good movies that I like (Black Panther 1 & 2, the introduction of Ironheart / Riri Williams was cool, Shang-Chi, Antman) and then fuck up something else and it's like "Oh you were hoping for something good? psych, bitch" (and even the films I listed have flaws-like every piece of media yknow but still)

chapter six: powers under control
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
.............................................................
[ over on mount wundagore ]
.............................................................
wanda looks around at the dark cave, in awe of the detailed carvings that decorated the stone walls.
"this isn't a tomb." she says as she drags her hands along the walls, "this is a throne!"
suddenly, the cave begins to rumble which makes both wong and wanda stop in their tracks. 3 big stone giants emerge from the darkness, their eyes glowing red, and they stomp over to the two humans. wong puts belshazzar, the mirror, down with a huff and begins to conjure up his powers whilst wanda just tilts her head to the side. the stone giants stop as they are right near wanda and kneel before her. the woman lets out a snarky chuckle at this.
"seems as though they are here to serve me." she smirks.
wong sighs as he lets his whip disappear, but before he could relax, red whsips of magic circle him and he is brought up into the air, being bound by his hands and his feet.
"what are you doing!?"
"making sure you don't get away. i need you here."
"for what reason? i have bought you to mount wundagore! why must i stay here?"
"DO NOT QUESTION ME!" wanda shouts.
wong flinches slightly, sighing as he knows there was no use in fighting back because it would either end up in him getting vitally hurt, or others.
one of the stone giants help wanda up onto what looked like an altar. then she uses her magic to bring the mirror over to her, placing it on the floor in front of her. she begins to idk what you would call it but basically use her powers to use the mirror to try and find where you and america where hiding.
"it will never work."
wanda's head snaps round to were wong was bound.
"what did you just say to me?"
"i said, it will never work. you don't have the abilities to see through belshazzar." wong answers without hesitation.
wanda growls, "you should watch your mouth, sorcerer. i am capable of MANY things, that you could never even start to imagine!"
wong just shakes his head at the woman's defiance.
the witch tried for a solid hour but to no avail. she groans loudly in frustration after the millionth try and throws the mirror across the room with her wiggly woos.
"there must be another way." she grumbles.
wanda floats off of her altar and towards wong.
"tell me what to do."
.............................................................
[ back at aggie's joint in peach pickett hill ]
.............................................................
"mothertrucker- WATCH IT CHAVEZ!"
"sorry y/n/n!"
you roll your eyes at the kid and continue to read agatha's old spell book.
"that's it darling! now try and think of a destination, that is safe of course, and once you open that portal, close it after around 5 seconds." agatha instructs and america nods.
aggie is having a very successful teaching session with america. she has been able to control her powers even more as the minuets pass on and is almost, soooo close to perfecting it. you were so happy for her, when she doesn't open a portal right over your head like she has done already 6 times!
you, on the other hand, had also had a good learning session with reading the spells. once you read a fast pace spell, you used it immediately so you could read the book faster. IT WAS 11,000 PAGES LONG so who can really blame you?
"alright i'm finished aggs!" you say as you place the book in her hands and she smiles at you getting up off of the couch.
"okay then, create a spell."
"like, right now!?"
"right now."
"as in, this very moment in time, right now."
"yup!"
"uhhhh okayyyy."
now agatha knew that it took years and years to create spells, and even the most trained witches and wizards could never perfect them easily. however, agatha knew you were capable of doing it, and once you did, it would only prove that you were in fact, the enchanter, even more than it already had been.
you begin to look around the room, hoping that something catches your eye that will give you an idea of what type of spell to create.
there.
on the small cupboard in the corner of the living room, you see the game shelf. you quickly grab the uno pack and take out the cards. after a bit of rummaging, you finally find the one you needed.
"i'm ready!"
"now remember y/n, concentrate on what you want the outcome to be." agatha says.
"you got it ma'am."
"good. america?"
"aggieeee?"
"be a dear and open a portal over y/n's head."
"NO!"
"sure thing!"
america opens the portal before you could register anything, though you were still quick to act. you through the card that was in your hand, up into the portal that was coming down on you and it glitched from over you, to over america and it closed up on the brunette instead.
you smack your hand over your mouth in complete shock.
"i never told the spell to do that! it wasn't supposed to eat mary!"
agatha chuckles, "no, you didn't, but america made for the portal to eat you!"
"ohhhhhh........" you say and the realization hits you, "MY SPELL WORKED!"
you launch into a mini dance party which makes agatha laugh, and just then, a portal opens up behind the tow of you and a winded looking america walks out of it.
"remind to never open the portal to the narcissistic-verse. NOT poggers." she says then slumps herself onto the couch.
"what was that spell anyways?"
"the uno reverse spell. pretty neat if you ask me."
"that is dope! you could defs use that against wanda! she would never see that coming!"
"right!"
agatha walks over to the two of you with a smile and she brings you both into a tight hug,
"you girls are my first students ever, and to say that i'm extremely proud of you is an understatement."
you gaze up at the older woman with a smile of your own, "aggs! we couldn't of done any of this without you! you were so patient and slow with us, it was a really easy process."
"yeah! what y/n said! you are THEE best teacher ever known to man- or witch- or multiverse hopper- or enchanter-"
you all laugh at that. sometimes, america could try so hard that she would eventually forget where she was even going with that sentence.
just then, you remember.
"holy hookers we forgot stephanie!"
"oMg i hope he isn't dead rn. that would NOT be poggers!" america says.
agatha raises an eyebrow in confusion when you run towards the fire place.
"this should work." you mumble and wave your fingers at the wood in the fireplace. low and behold, it did work! a burst of flames appear on the once fire-less wood. you squeal as you pump your fists into the air.
"woah! now that was defs steardy." america approves which is followed by an impressed hum from agatha.
you take a small bow before thinking deeply and then opening a portal to where strange was laying on the ground unconsciously. capey flies from off of your back and picks up strange, floating him over to the fluffly rug which aggie had materialized along with a blanket and some pillows.
you watch as capey lays your tutor down with a frown and fall to your knees. you brush your hand over stephen's forehead. you couldn't believe this was happening. if you never had decided to be so careless with america and go upset wanda, strange would be awake, wong would be here with you and most importantly, everyone would have been safe-
"none of this was your fault y/n."
agatha's voice breaks you out of your trance and you gaze up at her. the witch kneels down next to you and holds you close to her.
"all of this would have happened regardless, darling. it was just a matter of when, where and to who. wanda is heart broken, and she is driven by the want and need to find her boys. she's at the point now, were if you stand in her way, she will hurt, destroy and kill until she gets to her kids."
"b-but she k-k-killed all my h-homies at kamar-taj."
"she did. that is true. but, she is tunnel-visioned right now y/n/n-"
"i'm gonna kill her. in cold fu**ing blood. just like she did to the students and everyone else at kamar-taj." you growl.
agatha's eyes go wide, america's jaw drops and capey turns to you dramatically in shock.
"ain't no way in hell i heard that." america states in disbelief.
"oh yes there is. you know me and how i keep my word. wanda will wish she stayed in her stupid lil orchard hex."
"y/n/n, honey, are you sure that's what you want?"
"DOES IT SOUND LIKE I'M UNSURE HARKNESS? DID I STUTTER OR ARE YOU JUST TRYING TO GET ON MY NERVES!?" you scream making the two flinch away.
unbeknownst to you, your eyes had turned black again and you had began to float. a harsh wind surrounded you, making whatever was loose around the room, move around and slam into things.
though, you were so filled with rage and anger that you never noticed your change in appearance. but what you do notice is the change in the other two's expressions.
america has all the fear of the world in her eyes and agatha, not so much fear, but surprise in her's. you frown, now aware of your doings and you lower so your feet touch the ground which makes everything go back to normal, including you.
"i..... i-i'm sorry. i'm so sorry." you sob with your head in your hands.
this time, it's america's hands you fell rubbing your back to soothe you.
"hey! it's okay bestie. we know you're grieving and it sucks." she whispers and you glance up at her with a small smile.
"yeah.... but it still doesn't give me a reason to act out like that."
"it happens to us all kid, even me! that's what's happened to wanda. all that power has finally gotten to her head and now she's acting irrational!" agatha explains.
america frowns, "please, y/n/n. please don't end up like wanda! i don't wanna have to hurt my best friend."
you shake your head and hug the girl, "i won't. i promise mary."
"you know what? i think we're all just tired and it's making all our emotions go loopy. how about we go get some rest?" agatha suggests and the two of you nod in agreement.
"you girls go upstairs and choose a room. everything you need should be up there! though if i've missed something-....... summon it i guess?" aggie shrugs making you and america giggle.
"alright. thanks aggs!"
"i can assure you that mary and i will be sleeping splendidly."
"amen."
agatha chuckles, "well that's good to know. now hurry along! i'll stay down hear and keep an eye on sir good-looking and figure out what's knocked him out his cloak."
"good-looking is a stretch. stephanie is more mid."
"wait! what about your 40 winks aggie?" america questions and agatha grins at her.
"12,500 years darling. sleep is not really a necessity, especially when i'm a witch."
"OH alright valid. see you bonkos tomoz." america calls out, throwing up a peace sign as she walks away, pulling you along with her.
"woAh! okay! bye aggie!"
agatha turns to where strange was laying and raises her eyebrows.
"gosh! what a way to end the evening! i guess it's just you and me now mr cloak."
capey floats over to the witch and onto her shoulders, tugging her towards her library.
"what a great idea! i'll start preparing for ou plan idea sesh tomorrow! sleep tight stephen strange. hopefully you'll be of some good use to us when you do eventually wake up."

Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has requested the National Guard step in to help handle the arrival of thousands of migrants from the US-Mexico border, saying the nation’s capital has reached a “tipping point.”
In a July 19 request for assistance to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Bowser reported that “over 4,000 individuals arriving on nearly 200 buses” have come to DC since April, when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey pledged to put migrants on charter buses to protest the Biden administration’s immigration policies.
“Our collective response and service efforts have now become overwhelmed,” Bowser wrote.
“[O]ur homeless services system is already under great strain; and tragically, many families arrive in Washington, DC with nowhere to go, or they remain in limbo seeking onward destinations across the United States.
“With pledges from Texas and Arizona to continue these abhorrent operations indefinitely, the situation is dire,” the mayor added, “and we consider this a humanitarian crisis – one that could overwhelm our social support network without immediate and sustained federal intervention.”
Bowser asked Austin to allocate 150 DC National Guard personnel daily to ensure a “24/7 operation” in dealing with the migrants. She also requested use of the DC Armory, or “another suitable federal location in the National Capital Region, as a temporary processing center.
“These functions are not dissimilar to the use of military personnel and facilities for other humanitarian missions, including assisting Afghan refugees,” wrote the mayor.
Three days later, Bowser turned her attention to the White House, writing Homeland Security Adviser Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall and Intergovernmental Affairs Director Julie Chavez Rodriguez to ask them to support her request.
“The DCNG was instrumental in our Public Health Emergency and can be even more impactful in addressing the needs of asylum seekers,” she wrote, before appearing to appeal to Biden himself.
“I have great empathy for the very difficult situation people boarding buses to unknown locations are facing. I likewise am very concerned that the social safety net I am responsible for ensuring for DC residents is maintained,” Bowser said.
“I know the President shares my empathy, and I look forward to working with the administration to secure the DCNG and a federal facility to process migrants as they seek asylum and a better life in the United States of America free of uncertainty and fear.”
Bowser has received no response to either of her requests, according to NBC Washington, which first obtained the letters.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre referred questions about Bowser’s inquiry to the Defense Department and said the migrants were being “used” by the Republican governors.
“There is a process in place for managing migrants,” Jean-Pierre said. “This is not it, what they’re doing currently. That includes expelling migrants, as required by court order under Title 42, transferring them to ICE custody or placing them in the care of local NGOs … using migrants as a political pawn is just wrong.”
The first busload of migrants arrived in Washington on April 13, days after Abbott ordered the Texas Division of Emergency Management to begin the transports.
All of the migrants who have arrived in Washington have gone there voluntarily, since they are permitted to travel within the US after being processed by Customs and Border Protection.
Typically, when migrants are released from federal custody after crossing the border and evading expulsion, they are given paperwork allowing them to stay in the US as well as an order to appear in immigration court to appeal for asylum.
So far, Arizona has transported 1,262 migrants on 33 buses, Ducey’s office confirmed to The Post.
The Texas Division of Emergency Management did not immediately respond to The Post’s inquiry on the latest numbers from the Lone Star State.
“D.C. is experiencing a fraction of the disastrous impact the border crisis has caused Texas,” Abbott tweeted Thursday in response to Bowser’s requests. “Mayor Bowser should stop attacking Texas for securing the border & demand Joe Biden do his job.”
Abbott and Ducey’s efforts to alleviate strain on border towns – which usually receive the bulk of migrants after processing – has been heavily criticized by both the Biden administration and other Democratic leaders.
Most recently, New York City Mayor Eric Adams blasted the Republicans, calling them “cowards.”
“Our country is home of the free, land of the brave,” Adams said during a City Hall news conference last week. “We do not become cowards and send people away who are looking for help.”
On July 17, Bowser called the arrival of migrants in her city a “significant issue,” telling CBS’ “Face the Nation” that “I fear that they’re being tricked into nationwide bus trips when their final destinations are places all over the United States of America.”
