Firestar, Sandstorm, Squirrelflight, and Leafpool are all bi. With Sandstorm and Squirrelflight being more tom-leaning and Firestar and Leafpool are more she-cat-leaning

On top of that, Firestar, Sandstorm, and Squirrelflight are also all trans

Graystripe is pan while Ravenpaw is trans and gay

Barley is also gay

Going back to Firestar, back as a kittypet, he honestly had no idea that being trans was an option. Since all of the neighboring kittypets didn't seem to have a problem with their gender, he just assumed it was a him thing and something was wrong with him

He asked Smudge about it once, confusing his friend. Smudge said he didn't mind being a tom, saddening Rusty

He remembered being jealous of all the toms in the clan, mostly Tigerstar and Longtail. Longtail being so stupidly handsome and Tigerstar's muscled body. Why couldn't Firepaw just be a tom

He opened up about this to Spottedleaf (who will forever just be like a cool older sister to him, nothing more) who just stared at him and went, "You don't know, do you?"

So apparently he could've just eaten some herbs to make his scent more like a tom (got this idea from @barrenclan) and StarClan could've just... done the rest
