Hogwarts Legacy - When they ask you out
Hi! I'm FelixShii, but you can just call me Felix. This is my first time posting anything on Tumblr, so please be gentle! I've had severe Hogwarts Legacy brainrot lately, so here's just a cute little preference for the main 3 companions + Ominis because I love him. I'm open for requests and ideas if you'd like to throw them my way! For now I'm just writing for these 4, but I'll probably be happy to write for some teachers and other students eventually. I can do fics, imagines, oneshots- pretty much anything. I hope you enjoy reading, and since I'm new here, don't be afraid to come and say hi! 💕
Very slight angst in Ominis' section- squint and you'll miss it, though. Reader is gender neutral and can fit into any house in all my works, unless explicitly stated otherwise. They are implied to be muggleborn in Ominis' section, though.
Sebastian Sallow
• On the outside, Sebastian would be just as charming and confident as ever, if not a little more skittish.
• Once out of your view though, Sebastian would stay up late many nights, pondering and overthinking. Dreams of you, anxious thoughts that his feelings would be one-sided.
• Eventually, it was actually Ominis who pushed Sebastian to confess his feelings to you. He told Sebastian it was because he was 'tired of hearing him shake and rock in his bed like a scared puffskein.' Sebastian knew it was really because Ominis wanted him to be happy.
• He'd ask you out to Hogsmeade by owl, inviting you for a butterbeer. Just the two of you.
•He'd start by talking about something mundane- deulling or classes, but you suspected something was up when he was fumbling over his words.
• When you asked him if he was feeling alright, it was like a dam broke. Strings of almost incoherent sentences spewed from his mouth, and he was blushing like a fool.
• Even with him bumbling like an idiot and as red as a beet, you got the message- and the two of you left The Three Broomsticks hand in hand, with lovestruck looks on your faces.
• With his earlier jumpy behaviour you'd expected something to be up with him, anyway- so him asking you out was only a little surprising.
• You hadn't however, expected Sebastian to lean in and kiss away the butterbeer froth from the top of your lip.
• He of course, only smirked at you smugly, pulling you back to the castle by your hand so you weren't late for class. If you were, he'd take the fall for you.
Ominis Gaunt
• At first Ominis really tries to deny his feelings.
• But he can't help the fact that his heart speeds up or his thoughts get cloudy around you.
• When he realises just how down bad for you he is, he pushes you away. Shuts you out. He didn't want you to get hurt. But, he makes sure to use his connections around the castle even if he's not with you- to make sure you're taking care of yourself.
• He knew what the Gaunts would do to a muggleborn like you if they knew he was romantically involved with you.
• You're really confused and hurt when he starts avoiding you in and outside of classes, and Sebastian is just as oblivious to the situation as you.
• One night you enter the undercroft to do some studying, as it's damp quiet was better than the beast chatter and cauldron bubbling of the room of requirement.
• You stop in your tracks when you hear quiet whining, spotting the crumpled heap that was Ominis Gaunt in the corner.
• He hadn't heard you, judging by how high he jumped in fear when you approached him.
• It takes a lot of coaxing and patience to get it out of him, but he eventually tells you what's going on and why he'd been avoiding you.
• All you can do is pull him closer to you, placing a kiss on his forehead and smiling softly. Of course your safety was his top priority. What a sweetheart. You inform him that his feelings for you are not unrequited, to which he responds by smiling brightly at you, pressing a soft kiss to your cheek.
Natsai Onai
• Natsai, being the brave and confident Gryffindor she is, isn't at all shy or embarrassed around you.
• Even with her feelings for you making her palms sweat and her heart race, she is just as friendly and happy around you as she normally would be.
• Actually confides in her mother for advice- not that she's nervous, she just wanted a second opinion on what to do.
• Her mother tries to read her palms, look at tea leaves and all other manner of odd divination tricks to try and help her.
• Natty knows her mother means well, but she wasn't exactly being helpful with any of this.
• So, after a moment of thinking, Natsai decides she doesn't need theatrics, she'll just ask you out when she wants to.
• So, the next morning at breakfast, Natty promptly sits down next to you at your table and beams brightly.
• Her confidence doesn't falter as she confesses her feelings to you while simultaneously piling her plate with food.
• You're just sat there, stunned at her straightforward nature. But, it makes sense- Natty is a Gryffindor after all.
• It takes you a moment to shake out of your surprise, but you eventually return her wide grin, only able to nod your head yes as she asks you to be her partner.
Poppy Sweeting
• Poppy is naturally a somewhat shy, timid and skittish girl, as most who knew her already knew.
• That is only amplified tenfold when she's around you
• You had caught her staring in your direction a few times in class, and she'd always let out a small squeak of surprise and look away, quickly hiding her rapidly reddening face.
• Every time you've tried to approach her about it, she'd practically ran away, spewing a quick excuse. You were starting to think something was wrong. Had you done something?
• One day to your surprise, Poppy stops you in front of your common room, her head down and something in her hands.
• She shoves it to you wordlessly before retreating quickly, her face bright red.
• Inside your palm is a note. Hand-written on parchment. You notice that most of the sentences are scratched out. The only readable part was the bottom. 'Meet me at the black lake, 9pm.'
• Upon arriving at the requested time, you spot a group of lacewing flies illuminating the lake. More importantly, you notice poppy sitting at the waters edge, fidgeting with something in her hand.
• She tries to act calmly upon noticing you've arrived, but her red face gives her away. She hands you the object in her hand. A pheonix feather- you gasp. It must have been hard for her to get this.
• You notice her breath is coming out in cold puffs, and wordlessly offer her your house scarf, which she wraps herself up in. You knew she was far too shy to say anything herself, so you just laughed quietly and told her that you liked her too. The two of you sat huddled together by the lake for so long that Poppy fell asleep on your shoulder.

i’m not actually working on a lot rn but you know that damn ginger is always inside my head acting up so i do have some things PLANNED | (my ao3)

1. Leander and Lily - probably going to change this title later because it’s stupid as hell. short little thing about leander + his struggles with self esteem and his older sister lily helping him realise he’s worth more than he thinks.
2. Untitled Prewlow Fic - after i did that sims wedding i am once again being attacked in my head by these boys. yes it will involve ollie because ugh do i love that child. it will be wholesome but with a small side of angst ;)
3. Starlight - i was chatting about this a while ago, but i am planning a fluff oneshot of andrew and amit becoming close during astronomy class. just think lots of cuddling for warmth and discussion about the beauty of stars (among other things 👀)
4. Potions Tutor - this started as a oneshot garrinis fic but i recently went back to read it again and i’m planning on doing a part 2 now!
Scenes:
1. in my first w.i.p. i just wrote the scene that i’ve been the most hung up on. it’s the summer between 5th and 6th year, when leander gets his o.w.l results. he didn’t do as well as he’d hoped and is worried his parents are disappointed in him, so he seeks out his sister for advice.
2. a lot of the angst i was talking about comes from ollie. a good scene example is when he is in DADA class, and when he faces the class’ boggart it changes into a dementor. it’s surprising because his boggart used to be an acromantula. he realises it has changed because now his greatest fear is sebastian being taken to azkaban and the dementor is a manifestation of that.
3. this one is really really not worked on, i have maybe a paragraph, but i have an idea for a scene where andrew is incredibly shy about asking amit to share his blanket during astronomy class, but he’s also very cold. in the end it gets way too cold and in the end they cuddle under the blanket and share a telescope 🥺
4. ominis passes his potions exam after several months of studying (and more) with garreth. they decide to celebrate by going for drinks at the three broomsticks. it’ll go fine. probably. maybe. char stop making everything angsty for 2 seconds challenge FAILED

AN: Wrote this years ago after season IV ended.
The night was ripe with fragrant spring, and the forest shivered sleepily under a mild wind come from across the mountains.
Alucard rose to his feet, standing upon a high vantage point on the castle battlements overlooking the town of Belmont. He closed his eyes as a gust of fresh, pine-scented air breezed over his skin. When he opened them, the stranger was still there.
Many years had passed, and the community surrounding the castle thrived, having faced few to no drawbacks or subsequent attacks. The village in time grew and prospered in trade and owed to the knowledge in the Vault and the castle, soon evolved into a town of repute, frequented by scholars and seekers of knowledge from across the land and beyond.
And now, this foreign presence had been lurking about its streets ever since evening settled, and even from this distance and height, Alucard could discern its nature.
Vampire. He followed the cloaked figure with his gaze as it slowly took the road leading to the castle.
The scent was unmistakable, familiar to one having lived and reached maturity among them — his people, half of his legacy. At first, he’d fretted and thought to act before the newcomer attacked anyone, but from his observation thus far, this was not a prowl in search of victims, a hunt for sustenance. Perhaps this vampire was a stray, seeking the castle for whatever shadowed reason, in memory of days past. Perhaps they were simply insane, who could know?
He would not wait to find out. Alucard took flight, and in a long, graceful leap, landed on his feet before the castle gates just as the stranger reached them.
He looked ahead, but the vampire neared on slow, determined steps. The traveler was tall and strong if his initial assessment was anything to go by. His hand tightened on the hilt of his sword; long ago, he’d made a promise: no one and nothing could ever ruin their peace or endanger the community they had all toiled to build and grow.
The vampire came closer, but try as he did, Alucard could not discern the features hidden beneath his hood. “I’d stop where you are if I were you,” he warned, standing before the stairs of the castle and drawing his sword with a sharp hiss of steel.
The stranger appeared to take heed, for he stilled a few paces away.
“Find prey elsewhere,” Alucard continued, his tone cold as a winter’s day. “Leave this place now; or I'll be forced to make you.” The light of the moon sang on his long blade.
The other remained silent, made no move to reveal himself or retrace his steps.
Tiresome, Alucard thought, but two could play this game. He was patient, would not attack first. At the first sign of foul play, however, his sword would slash through the other’s chest. “Very well, we can stand here all night, if you like. I’m in no particular hurry.”
The stranger lowered his head. If Alucard did not know any better, he’d say the vampire was smiling beneath that hood.
“I like what you’ve done with the place.”
The words were soft but struck lightning through the core of his being. Slowly, the vampire lifted his hands and drew back his hood, revealing his face.
Alucard gasped, and for the first time in his life, the sword dropped from his hand, clattering uselessly on the stone-covered ground. His heart burst in his ears, and he watched the specter before him with widening, fearful eyes.
He’d lost his voice, and thoughts refused to form, but somehow Alucard spoke. A single choked word struggled to his lips, the echo of a buried loss. “F- father?”
“Son.”
Alucard blinked away the surging flare of emotion and tears brimming and blurring his sight. This was not reality. It was some spell, a glamor meant to weaken his defence — a chimera; it had to be. It had to…
Anger swelled within him at the poorly played scheme. His palm splayed as the sword sprang back in his hand, cold in his grip. “You’re not him,” he threw, and lunged forward.
He struck with all his might, but with awe and a new sense of gutting terror, Alucard saw the tip of his blade had been caught between two long, clawed fingers, held easily as though it were a flower stalk. Close as they were, he ground his teeth and stared into the vampire’s eyes. It all flooded him, grief and guilt filled him with the memory of talons raking through his chest, of a stake crushing flesh and bone. He quailed before the sight of those all too familiar features, the crimson light in that deep gaze, the scent he now knew, deep in his marrow. Still, he pushed harder, would not yield—
“Adrian?”
The call of his name snapped him out of his fury; blinking rapidly, Alucard peered beyond the vampire’s shoulder.
She stood there, tall and cloaked, her hands worrying at her chest, with moonlight shining on her silver-streaked hair. The last time Alucard had heard her voice, the last time…
“Are we alive?!”
He glanced back at the vision of his father, still standing there quietly, peacefully. As if burnt, he retreated, gaping at them both. “What… what is this?”
The woman neared, and though his mind refused to work and grasp what was before him, his heart raged and his throat seized at the care in her eyes; her eyes. Alucard barely noticed that he sank to his knees as recollection slashed through him until, unable to look anymore, he brought his head in his hands, falling forward. “This is not happening. You are not real, either of you… please, leave me be… please…”
She rushed forward and knelt before his curled form, her arms winding around him.
Alucard stared emptily at the ground, but without thought, his forehead rested on her shoulder, and all he could do was shiver. His shoulders shook. “How…?” he asked, over and over, “How?...”
Gently, Lisa took his face in her palms, and they stared at each other for a long time. “My boy… my beautiful, beautiful boy,” she murmured, her blue eyes glistening, her own voice lower, hoarser than he remembered.
Heart bursting and thoughts muddled, Alucard crumpled at the sound of her words, the sight of her face. She looked to be past her prime in appearance, but not by much; fine lines graced her features at the corners of her eyes and mouth when she smiled. His lip quivered, and Alucard buried his face into her.
“It’s all right,” she whispered into his hair, her arms tighter around him, barely reaching across his back. “It’s all right. We’re here, Adrian. We found you again.”
“How…” Alucard repeated wretchedly, clutching at her as though she were a fitful dream, fearful she would fade, that all this was yet another nightmare out of many that haunted his nights through the years.
With the weight of his father’s gentle hand on his head, through his hair, the tide he’d been stemming swelled and crashed with all the memories, the longing and misery, and Alucard fell against Lisa in a heap of confusion; sobbing like a child.
“We’re here,” she repeated, drawing soothing motions across his bent back as his tears stained her clothes.
Alucard nodded, as he did during his brief childhood, when she’d always be there to quell his sorrow with her love.
Lisa said no more, instead humming an old tune she would sing to him in their old times together, and held him as he wept.

flowers of every color | writer's behind the scenes!
some stuff about my writing process for the fic! be warned that if you haven't caught up yet, there are spoilers

story planning:
while we've gotten plenty of yeonjun in prince outfits over the years, the main inspiration for this fic is yeonjun's opening outfit in act: sweet mirage! i saw that and was like "oh man he would be SO DASHING as a prince 😍" and just went from there
if you've been here from the start, you might know that i didn't originally plan make a series! i just word-vomited the first chapter (well, what became the first chapter) directly into tumblr's post editor because the thought of prince!yeonjun wouldn't leave me alone, especially after seeing a few other prince/commoner and prince/servant fics floating around lol. chapter 1 is also the only chapter made using tumblr's legacy editor rather than their new one (which is also why the cover pics are one big edited photo and not 3 separate photos, i couldn't figure out how to get 3 photos to line up in the legacy editor).
i honestly did not expect people to read chapter 1 but they did!! and they liked the idea!! plus even after writing chapter 1 i STILL couldn't get the idea out of my head so i decided to write it as a full story. i've written plenty of oneshots before under my (non-kpop) ao3 account, but this is my first multichapter series! so i opened google docs and made a quick outline of the story's main events.
the original outline for foec had 6 chapters + 2 endings, but as i wrote the story, i realized that more detail and scenes were needed than what i initially outlined! chapters 3 and 4 (ball preparations + the ball / gazebo dance scene) were supposed to be one chapter. chapters 5 and 6 (y/n hanging out with the chois + getting caught + punishment + intro of arranged marriage) were also supposed to be one chapter. chapters 7-9 (end of friendship, reconciling with soogyu, y/n & beomgyu talk) were also supposed to be one chapter!
i actually started writing the bad ending first before the good ending -- my reasoning was that if i were the reader, i would want to save the good ending for last so that i could end the series on a positive note. i was very surprised when people voted for the good ending first in the poll LMAO also as far as i'm concerned, both endings are canon in a "branching timeline" kind of way. they are both the real ending! i do have a soft spot for the good ending but also i love angst too much to not write a bad ending haha.
honestly most of the story beats from my original outline made it into the final fic! the biggest change has to do with queen hwayoung's and princess ajin's roles in the story (more on that below).
character notes:
when i was first brainstorming i really wanted to include both taehyun and hueningkai in the story as well, but i struggle with writing ensemble casts and choi line + y/n (+ the supporting characters in the castle) were already enough for me to handle. soobin and beomgyu were the easiest for me to incorporate into the story since they have the same last name and i could go "oh in this universe they're part of the same royal house hence the same last name" HAHA. i do imagine that the house of choi princes are also friends with tyunning (kai does get alluded to in chapter 9), but they're off doing their own adventures.
some of little moments in the fic were inspired by actual things txt have done in variety shows! yeonjun, y/n, soobin, and beomgyu playing cards in chapter 5 is based off to do ep. 53 where they also play cards. soogyu playing badminton in chapter 8 is inspired by gbgb era idol human theater where they played a little badminton by the pool. and there are a lot more small character quirks that are inspired by gifs or fancams i've seen of them haha.
queen hwayoung and princess ajin were originally not supposed to be part of the story! my original idea was the have the arranged marriage subplot be heard secondhand by through advisers so that it feels like an invisible force pulling yeonjun away from y/n. but i needed to make the threat of the arranged marriage stronger and ended up writing the scene with queen hwayoung in it for chapter 6.
princess ajin especially was a late addition -- originally she was never supposed to appear at all, never visiting the castle and only speaking through her mom / royal advisors, so there was that threat of yeonjun being married off to someone he's never even met. but after looking through the feedback of chapter 6 i realized that i kinda-sorta accidentally made setup for her oops. people were wondering what she'd be like, and it would feel too anticlimactic to never have her appear in the story, so i wrote her in. which i don't regret because i did enjoy writing her big scene in chapter 10!
speaking of which: a friend of mine asked what happens to princess ajin, and honestly i wanted to give her proper closure too! but i couldn't find a way to fit it into the story in a way that felt natural. if you ask me though, she gains some level of political independence from her mom (represented by her visiting the castle in the good ending). she still marries for political reasons, to a prince or nobleman who is also in it for the politics, and at first they treat their marriage as a business partnership. eventually they grow close and form a devoted "i'd do anything for you" bond -- not necessarily romantic in nature, but caring in its own way. (i'm describing a queerplatonic relationship basically)
tbh i don't have the energy to write another multichapter right now, but i would love to see spinoff fics for soobin and beomgyu or even taehyun and kai as princes in their own kingdoms! so if you're reading this and you want to do it, you have my blessing <3
flower notes:
while some chapter titles were planned around a specific flower representing the events & progression of the story, others were not (because of the chapter splits i talked about earlier) and i just chose whatever flower was in it lol. the planned chapter title flowers are: yellow roses (ch2), pink roses (ch4), sunflowers (ch5), striped carnations (ch7) , purple hyacinths (ch9), red roses (ch10), daffodils (GE), and white lilies (BE). the unplanned title flowers are: irises (ch1), lilies of the valley (ch3), red and purple zinnias (ch6), sweet peas (ch8).
i mostly used this website as a reference for the language of flowers, BUT i also double check with one or two other websites to make sure i'm getting an established flower meaning and not something made up! when i started fic planning i made a list of flowers with meanings that fit the main story beats and character progressions, then picked the ones with the most established meanings (i.e. supported by multiple "language of flowers" websites) and/or the ones that were appropriate for the growing season.
even though i wrote a disclaimer not to pay attention to botanical accuracy re: seasonal flowering times, i originally envisioned the fic to take place over the spring. then when it got longer, i imagined it taking place over spring and summer, so i tried (keyword: tried) to choose seasonally appropriate flowers or flowers that bloom year-round. this is hard for me because i live in a tropical country. i have never seen a lot of these flowers in person because they don't grow in the climate here, and i have no idea what a four-season year feels like. so i decided not to put time-of-year markers in the fic and leave the season ambiguous, and added that disclaimer about the flowers' accuracy.
an example of this: chapter 9 is named after purple hyacinths. i first decided on this back when the story was only supposed to take place during the spring, since hyacinths are a spring flower. i considered naming it after hydrangeas because they mean something like "thank you for understanding" (i.e. y/n going "thank you for understanding what a hard position i'm in" to yeonjun), and also because they're one of my favorite flowers. but i wasn't sure about their seasonal appropriateness since some sources said that they bloom during early summer so i changed it to hyacinths. BUT THEN the fic got long and i started imagining that the later chapters take place in the summer SO the hyacinths ended up being seasonally inappropriate after all! and hydrangeas would have been more appropriate! especially since txt literally has a song called hydrangea love out aarghhh noooo but anyway it is what it is
other flowers that didn't make the cut + their meanings: sweet william (gallantry), alstroemeria (friendship or devotion), freesia (friendship, thoughtfulness), white tulips (forgiveness, consideration, respect), thyme (courage, strength)
other notes:
the key lime pie in chapter 6 is based on a real pie that i ate at my friend's house when i visited her there and i thought it was the most delicious thing i have ever eaten. in the original draft it was a lemon tart!
i wanted to keep this series strictly sfw, but i did consider making both the good and bad endings have suggestive, fade-to-black scenes. for the good ending, the suggestive part would have involved y/n in yeonjun's room the night after their speech / before waking up together. for the bad ending, it would have happened when yeonjun visits y/n's quarters. i didn't write them bc i... am not good with anything suggestive or nsfw klsadjfklasjd
I COMPLETELY FORGOT BUT Y/N'S FATHER WAS ALSO IN THE AUDIENCE FOR THEIR SPEECH IN THE GOOD ENDING... i have no excuse for not writing him in other than I Forgot. i am so sorry but please imagine he was there

A retelling of Crimson and Clover from Garreth's perspective because his POV is always so beautifully unhinged and I need to write more of it, though I expect it'll just be a list of dumb jokes in my fic graveyard forever.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Blowing my own trumpet makes me uncomfortable, but I have been informed my characterisation is a-okay on a fair few occasions 💕
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I really struggle with natural dialogue sometimes, I think it lets down a few of my scenes I had otherwise hoped would feel more dramatic.
I also rework every sentence into the ground until I'm bored of reading it, meaning it takes several decades to publish anything.

As long as there are translations

I wrote two y/n fics for the Hobbit fandom around ten years ago which are buried deep on this very blog 👀

Despite being the least popular on both AO3 and Tumblr, Baby Garreth and Where to Find Him brought me so much joy to write and the readers who did enjoyed it told me how they laughed the whole way through which brings me endless serotonin 💕

Summary: Being the one and only daughter of Bonnie Bennett and Enzo St. John was legendary but dating Hope Mikaelson was superior. That all comes crashing down when a final battle comes between Hope and malivore in the form of her ex Landon Kirby.

Author’s Note: I tried to make this as angst as possible. If I made you cry, I'm overjoyed. This would be my first angst without an happy ending and there's definitely a part 2 following hope's humanity.

Starting the scenery off which traveled to the Salvatore Boarding School leading to your dorm with whom you shared with Hope Mikaelson. Right now you were both arguing on how Hope was gonna sacrifice herself to Malivore.
“I don't want or need you sacrificing yourself anymore, Hope.” You said, your arms folded as a frown tugged across your lips.
The tribid shrugged, “I'm sorry, angel, but that's not really your choice.”
You've been dating Hope for a long time to know that whenever she has her mind set on something, she would continue with that. It was one of the things that you admired her so much but right now — you're completely loathing it. Why do the Mikaelsons insist on being so god damn stubborn when it comes to their own good?
“Please be safe.” You warned your girlfriend, “We don't know what Malivore's capable of.” You finished, walking around the room, trying to occupy yourself with anything else.
The auburn beams at your worried tone and walks towards you before she cups your face gently, “Hey, I'll be fine. Don't worry about me.” That only worried you more. Like, how can you not worry about her right after she typically said to not worry about her. Brushing away the small tears away from your cheek as she gave you an upward smile.
“Okay, just take this.” You took off her family necklace and gave it to her. “For good luck.” You helped her put the mikaelson necklace around her neck.
Turning back to you and she holds your hands to ease away your anxiety, “Always...”
“And forever...” You whispered back, letting hope's soft plump lips capture yours in a soft kiss.
“I'll be back before you know it, angel.” Was what she said after you pulled away. With that, she was gone, you still had an uneasy feeling about this, but regretfully you brushed it off. So returning back to your homework, your stomach still bubbled up with anticipation and unfortunately it got the best of you.
It seemed like even if you distracted yourself with something else, your girlfriend would always comes to mind. With every bad thought that came to mind, you repeatedly hit the led of your pencil harder than before as if it would calm you down. Overthinking is a real pain the ass.
Everything seemed to grew more anxious that was until you felt something stabbed you. On instinct, you clutch onto your stomach making you drop the pencil in the process and observe the pain. Once the pain subermged, you shakily raised your hand which was revealed a new fresh crimson blood. Looking at the thick liquid in horror before you looked down at your shirt which obviously caused the blood starting to seep on your shirt.
“What the hell?!” You exclaimed before your eyes widened in danger, “Hope!”
Not sparing a single second, you rushed out of the room making sure to grab your keys on the nightstand. Luckily for you, Hope told you where she was going to defeat Malivore so that gave you faith. Hopefully by the time you reach there, Hope wouldn't be dead.
Even though Hope was an unkillable creature, that doesn't mean that she had weak spots. And by weak spots, I mean the bennett witch who dearly loves her tribid girlfriend.
“Malivore, where are you?” Hope shouted, walking around careful to keep any eye out, “Let's finish this right now.”
On cue, Malivore walks out of his hiding spot with a creepy smile on his face. The body that he was possessing currently was her ex, Landon Kirby. “I eat monsters like you.” Malivore stated like that was an accomplishment.
Letting out a humorous chuckle before her eyes change color and said, “There is no monster like me.”
“Oh, great, your little girlfriend is here for the show as well.” Landon commented with a disgusting smirk on his face. His words caused hope to turn to you, her tribid eyes faltering at the sight of you. God, she was so whipped for you. Your running figure going definitely towards her.
“Hope, you need to break the li–“ You were cut off by a large gash slicing your stomach which caused you to clutch it in pain and stop mid-way stumbling on your feet. Hope lets out a surprised gasp but stays frozen in place.
Looking up vaguely, to notice a knife in his hands and also his stomach was bleeding exactly where your wound started to transform. The only difference was that his blood was black and he couldn't actually feel the pain. It didn't take a genius to know that you were now linked to him.
Stuck between whether to come to your aid or defeat malivore, Hope chose the better option at the moment – that was to save you.
“[Name]!” She yells, worry evident in her tone as she came running to you. Catching you just in time as your legs gave away. Letting you down gently against a wooden box as she swept a loose strand of hair from your face.
“I don't wanna die, Hope.” You whimpered, seeing more blood seep onto your shirt.
“You're not gonna die,” Hope hiccups, drying your own tears while trying to control her own, “Just hold on a little bit longer.” She nods her head while ripping a piece of her shirt for a bandage and she wrapped it around your waist. Pressing down on the wound to slow down the bleeding, “Please.”
Nodding back in agreement, she halfway smiles but it quickly vanishes when she sees your pained expression and another huge gash across your right cheek. The blood was intensely running down your face and now her tears were clouding her vision, can't bear to see her beautiful girlfriend in so much pain.
“Please, stop it. You're hurting her.” Hope pleaded with the enemy, “It's me you want, not her. Please, not her, she's all I have left.”
“That's the point Hope, you love her. So she suffers as well.”
The monster continued to ignore her pleas and continued to cut himself which caused you to react negatively to it. Hope was having a panic attack at the moment because her brain forced her to remember about how she promised your parents that she would always keep you safe.
And she was going to fulfill that promise, no matter what she had to do. But right now it felt like promises were going to be broken.
After the pain submerged, beads of sweat start running down your face. In the process of stopping your blood, it covered her hands. You wanted to faint at the sight of the amount of blood. Worse of all, it was yours and you couldn't magically add more into your body.
“I'm tired, hope.” You started to daze off, “One last kiss. That's all I ask.”
“No, no. I'm not giving you one last kiss because this is not the end for us.” Hope wailed, “I love you and I'm not going to lose you too. Not like I failed my parents.”
“You didn't fail your parents, Hopey. They sacrificed themselves for you because they truly did what any other loving parent would do for their child.”
“B-but I promised your parents that I would protect you,” The auburn stammers as she shook her head in disbelief, “How am I supposed to tell your parents that I failed them and got their miracle daughter – the one that they longed for — got killed in the process?”
A sudden rush of blood erupts out of your mouth and onto the floor as you started choking on the amount of blood, hearing louder sobs from the auburn. Settling your head back against a wooden box, still managing a smile on your face.
“H-how can you smile at a time like this?” Hope's voice cracks, her eyes getting cloudy again with more incoming tears.
“Guess you can say that I'm drop dead beautiful now." You sighed, "Besides I'd rather see you one last time.” Between her occasional sniffles, a little laugh arose from her lips. Her laugh had always brought you peace and joy so maybe — maybe you hoped that it would be the last thing that you hear.
“Always and forever, right?” She murmurs, bringing your hand to her lips for a gentle kiss.
“Well, isn't this poetic.” A voice taunts and Hope's face harden at the sudden interruption before she slowly turns around but you tugged on her. By doing so, Hope goes back to your attention.
“He's not important right now. We are important right now. Just us.” You concluded, wincing as you tried to fix your posture which the tribid immediately noticed and quickly helped you. “He's just distracting you.”
“Please, [name], you have to stay with me. You're my other half, my soulmate, the love of my life. I-I'm head over heels for you.” The young mikaelson started, “I've never told you how much I loved you a-and how I would marry you someday and start a family together.”
“Hope, you have to promise me something.” You let out a weakened wheezed as another gash formed across your now exposed stomach.
“Promises are f-for later. Right now all that matters is getting you healed.”
“Hope we're gonna be too late for and you know that.” You whispered, watching at how she couldn't contain to look at you in the eyes while blinking away more tears. Using your index finger, you forced her to look at you again watching how she slowly opened up her teary eyes, “You have to promise me that you'll never...under any circumstances turn off your humanity because I can't bear to know that your emotions are gone because of me.”
“Yeah, I promise you..” Hope said. You knew her tone was off was rushed because she just wanted to focus on healing you at the moment.
So with the little strength that you could muster up, you used it and pulled her in by the collar of her shirt for a passionate loving kiss. This kiss was different, it wasn't those lustful kisses that you two shared behind closed doors or just morning ones. It was one filled with compassion and longing.
But Hope knew that she had to let go because you weren't permanent in her life. Nobody could or would be permanent in the tribid's life. Oh, how Hope longed for this kiss to be a 'see you later' kiss and not a 'final goodbye' kiss.
The young Mikaelson wished that this was all a dream and you would be there to shake her awake and cuddle her so that she's safe again. She knew that she would have to face reality even if she doesn't like the outcome and who would be facing the consequences.
Closing both of your eyes, still trying to melt into the kiss and grasping the other tightly afraid to let go. Tasting the bittersweet of each other's tears as more slowly travel down your faces. At the moment, Hope didn't even care about air as she cupped your face and kissed back more passionately.
Slowly opening your eyes back, you went to say something but instead you started choking. Immediately alarmed by your interruption, Hope's eyes widen when she saw your neck getting painfully sliced opened by an invisible source and blood instantly spurted out of your neck.
The amount of distance from the two of you was a negative because some of the blood ended up across your girlfriend's face. She instantly bit into her wrist to give you her blood but was blocked by an invisible force.
“Had a witch put up a barrier spell to make this more interesting.”
He was forcing Hope to watch the life drain out of your eyes. She had to hear and see you, desperate for help. How your hand was reaching out to her. How your words broke up into pieces.
“[Name], please you can't leave me. You still have so much to do in this life.” She banged on the barrier but it was no use at all.
On instinct you gripped your sliced neck trying to close it up as quick as possible. Feeling like a fish out of water, the gurgling became repeated until most of your blood was splattering across the dirty ground. It was like someone was forcing you to drink water without any time breaks.
Until, it finally stopped. Hope's loud wails also came to a halt and her hand was practically glued to the invisible barrier.
With one gasp, your words which were literally caught in your throat and you weakly raised your hand to connect hers through the invisible spell and you began to spoke, “Hope....” With one final inhale, you finally shut your eyes, content knowing that you won't ever open them again.
And with that, your body became limp as your body hit the ground with a loud thud and the last audible sounds in your ears were Hope's heart aching screams and sobs. Banging on the invisible barrier until it finally disappeared as she immediately scurried over to your lifeless figure and cradled your head onto her lap. Ignoring the pool of blood as she rocked back and forth in grief, letting the tears out freely.
“Come on [name]. You aren't dead, come on, angel. This isn't the end for you.” Hope broke down into even more tears. She never felt so useless before in life. This wasn't the first time that she was unable to save someone she loved from death.
Dismaying you with a kiss on the forehead, she felt her own tears ran down your warm face. “I'm so sorry, angel. I've never meant for this to happen to you.”
Determination washed away sorrow as her eyes make way on your face one last time. Your face no longer had it's beautiful glow that it had once cherished. Your aura and personality was completely wiped out of existence as if it was never there. She wanted this to be all a stupid nightmare and to just feel your soothing presence. Hope had to admit that only you and only you alone can look gorgeous while being dead.
“And I'll swear to you that I'll make him suffer. And I'll enjoy every part of it.” Departing with the promise in your ear before getting up to fight Malivore.
“Oh, well, you can't save them all. You win some, you lose some,” Malivore chuckles watching Hope's angered face.
Well, your death fueled the tribid's anger even more and knowing that you had died by Malivore's hand was going to be a lot more painful. She was doing this for the school. For her friends and for herself. And most importantly, she was doing this for you. But let's be realistic here, cause even if you weren't going to be there, you would've have still died either way. This way won’t be just as painful to her.
Looks like promises were made to be broken. Stalking towards the hideous monster menacingly, while she made her blood into a self-made weapon designed just to destroy Malivore.
“This is for my beloved darling [name].” Hope spat as she sticked the stake in his heart enjoying the sounds of agony that fall from Malivore's lips. Once he finished his dramatic tactics, he dropped down to the floor dead.
For effect, lightning struck hard and shoke the earth with its defying sight. With new fresh tears filled in Hope's eyes and her eyes shifted to a yellow. It seemed like Hope was looking for her switch and eventually she found it.
Then it was gone. No more emotions. No more regretfulness or guiltness restored Hope's memory.
At the end of the night, looks like you both lost something. You lost your life while Hope lost her soulmate and humanity. Guess the saying is true; you don't really know if you truly love someone until they're really gone.
“Goodbye [name].” Hope sighed before making a huge ruckus to alarm your parents. Disappearing from your window as she sped of into the night.
“Name], what is the no—“ Bonnie's heart rate picked up at the very dead sight of you. Immediately she rushed towards your body, hoping that her own eyes are betraying her. “Enzo, come quick!”
As soon as she shouted for her husband, he was by her side in minutes and his face faltered at the limp sight of you.
“She has no pulse,” The bennett witch stressed, tears prickling her eyes as she ignored the blood which enveloped her fingers. “Maybe we can do mouth to mouth.”
“Bonnie...” Enzo started, hearing her footsteps retreating to his tall figure.
“Well, we have to do something! She's our only daughter much less child.” Bonnie practically yelled. Refusing to look at his own wife's eyes, the witch turned back to you and started a spell. Based on how powerful the words sounded, it was no doubt a very powerful spell which would clearly kill Bonnie.
Right now, Enzo felt like a bad husband and father but it looks like, he was willing to keep his soulmate alive. It was would you would have wanted.
“Please, Enzo. Let me save our daughter, please.” Bonnie begged, trying to break free from her husband's grip, “I can bring her back like Jeremy so this nightmare of ours can be over.”
“She's gone...our baby is gone.” Enzo soothed her, his heart breaking at the loud sobs from his wife, “No amount of magic can bring her back.”
“We were supposed to protect her and we failed.” She cried, gripping tightly on her husband's now tear stained shirt. “What are we supposed to do now? We can't just leave her here.”
Can't bear to look at your body any longer, she turned her head into her husband's chest as she sobbed violently, hitting his chest repeatedly. While trying to keep his own tears at bay, he held a tight grip on his wife before letting his own tears flow freely.
The sounds of loud sobs erupted from the cabin and Hope’s heart broke a little at this. The couple didn't care if anyone heard them, they just lost their entire world. Trust me when they find out who did this, there would be hell to pay.

Fanfic question meme, questions 1-5 and 25.
1- Favorite Fic I Wrote This Year
I actually want to say “A Cabin in The Woods” because it isn’t often that I get to delve into a horror type story. Plus I think it held some of the best dialogue I have written so far. If I was to do a second favorite though, then I would say “By Blood” because I also enjoy crack a lot and the fact that Shoto asked Izuku if they could possibly be secret twins killed me.
2- Least Favorite Fic I Wrote This Year
This is hard because I like a lot of what I made this year, though if I do have to pick one then it would have to be “The Gentlest of Father Figures”
While I do love the Villain Manager AU and Gentle Dad, I feel like I could have done a lot better on that one lol.
3- Favorite Line/Scene I Wrote This Year
This is honestly a tossup between 3 actually
First we have Shoto and Izuku’s convo at the Sports Festival in “By Blood” because it made me laugh immensely.
Second is when All Might actually takes a Quirk Destroying Bullet for AfO in “When Villains Sleep” because it’s something that shows how he hasn’t forgotten the friendship he developed with AfO over the months of knowing him as “Hisashi” because he assumed AfO was legit dead until AfO revealed himself at the Yakuza Raid- the very raid where they’re both trying to save the same person who they both care about immensely.
Third is Izuku’s phonecall with Ujiko and then AfO coming in to interrupt. That scene gave me chills when I wrote it because I knew what was happening and still got a little freaked out lol.
4- Total Number of Words I Wrote This Year
Uh... *quietly calculates and goes through everything I have currently posted*
About 126, 601 words, probably more if I include stuff I’ve written but haven’t posted yet....
5- Most Popular Fic This Year
If I go only by 2020 then it’s “Memoirs of the Rebellion”
But if I go overall then it’s “Baby Ducky”
25- A Fic I Read That I Would Recommend Everyone Reads
Honestly there are a lot of fics that I have read over the years, but I’m going to have to put a hard limit on what I suggest and even provide links for you and anyone else who are curious.
Ones that I have read and reread a bunch of times because they are just that good-
Back From the Future: Episode VI The Clone Wars by Ariel_Sojourner
--A really fun time travel fic where Luke and Vader are sent to the Clone Wars during the Umbara Conflict where Pong Krell turned to the Dark Side and pitted clones against each other. It has amazing father-son bonding
Black Squadron by Azalea_Scroggs
--An AU where Luke goes by the name Luke Lars and graduates from the Imperial Academy as a TIE Pilot and is put onto Vader’s Squadron. The beginning is very rocky for Luke and Vader, and then it goes uphill only for the standard Palpatine Angst to happen. It also has a sequel that I’ve enjoyed so far.

--An 11 year old Luke stows away on a ship in hopes of getting off of Tatooine, and just his luck that it was Vader’s shuttle. Of course Vader immediately knows that Luke is his son cause Luke gave his full name, so we get some really fun father-son bonding even though Luke doesn’t know it yet. Also we have Darth Maul training Leia and my absolute favorite line- “He was determined to “beat the Kenobi” out of her, as he so eloquently put it the last time she had fallen into the defensive form she learned from him, only for Maul to knock her over twice as hard as he usually did.”
Now for Fics I actually just read this year-
BURN THE WITCH by ChaoticNeutral
-A Miraculous Ladybug fic where Lila lies about working with a charity and Rose believes her and gets lots of donations, including a particularly large one from Prince Ali. This of course backfires horribly and Marinette is the only one who is unaffected by the Akuma Rose becomes for a reason that gets revealed in the fic. This is actually my favorite MLB Salt Fic because it’s perhaps one of the more realistic ones and doesn’t bash the entire class or makes the class out into villains.
vicarious punishment by lostintheclouds321
-This is only a oneshot and has some HEAVY angst warnings. Though it is also fairly sad yet realistic on what would happen if the HPSC did discover AfO had a family and the means they would take to capture him. Really it is also interesting because this is legit something that happens in Japan. They are legally allowed to imprison someone for a suspected crime for up to 28 Days without a charge and keep you there until you confess to that crime even if you didn’t do it. And yes, the author did mention this about how Japan would coerce people into confessing to crimes they didn’t do just to keep the crime rate down. But anyway, this fic isn’t for the faint of heart.
Darth Vader Goes to School by LadyVader23
-A hilarious fic where Vader is told to get a hobby, so he decides to go to college for a degree in Engineering, but decides to steal Piett’s identity for it and one of his classmates is actually Luke and this was really a wild read.
