Title: Not Like the Movies Fandom: Shadowhunters Pairing: Climon (Clary Fray & Simon Lewis) Summary: Who would have though that becoming one of the undead would come with such unusual aversions? Simon Lewis certainly didn’t and he proclaims to be a well-versed expert on all things Vampires. It’s a good thing he has his best friend Clary by his side to help him through. Word Count: 2,172

Prompt: “No one ever warns you about stuff like this.”

“I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, I really hate snow,” Simon grumbles, his whole body stiff and shivering as he allows his best friend, Clary Fray to guide him slowly into his bedroom. Each step was rigid and to Simon it felt like it was taking a decade to move but before he knew it, she was helping him to gently settle down on the bed. She hovers for a second, her hands raised to make sure that he wasn’t about to fall forward before reaching out to grab the thick comforter and throwing it around his shoulder. “I mean, I get that it’s December and Christmas is fast approaching but seriously, why does there have to be so much snow?”

“I don’t know what you’re complaining for. You’ve lived in New York for as long as I have so you know what the weather’s like this time of year,” Clary points out as she tucks the sides of the comforter around Simon’s chest. “And as I recall before we even left the apartment, I did say that you didn’t have to come with me. I know your Mom and Sister well enough to pick something out on your behalf but no, you were the one who said you’d be fine. In fact, I believe your exact words were ‘I have died and gone through the struggle of transitioning into one of the undead... I can handle a little winter snowfall.”

Simon opens his mouth to protest but Clary continues on.

“Protest all you want but at the end of the day, this is all down to you not listening and leaving your winter jacket at home.” Clary pauses for a second as she moves towards Simon’s dresser, pulling open the top drawer and rummaging around for a second before picking out a fresh pair of cotton socks. She glances warily at the mess of a drawer for another second before she goes to kneel in front of him, fresh socks still in hand as she starts to remove his soaking shoes and socks, discarding them behind her as she adds, “Anyway, Raphael did warn you about the effects the snow would have on you now.”

Simon lets out a weak scoff at that last part.

It’s true that the grumpy Vampire had mentioned something or other about the effects the weather can have on a Vampire’s body, newly-turned or not and okay, yes... he may have also said something about requesting Simon to not go out anywhere over the next few days, at least until the worst of the snow has fallen. Still, Simon was skeptical. He had seen enough movies about Vampires and had even participated in his own research when he first turned to doubt what the older man was saying.

Rigor Mortis... even saying it in his mind sounded ridiculous.

As if Simon had needed another reminder that he was now just a small percentage of the undead.

Simon thought that it was the most made-up thing he’s ever heard. There’s no way that Raphael could have been serious about the information he was dishing out. The miserable Vampire was older and more experienced when it came down to living as one of the undead but perhaps it was also possible that he was old enough for his facts to have become muddled with fiction. It had to be some kind of weird fledgling initiation... it just had to be.

Clary straightens up, her arms folded over her chest as she glowers down at him.

Simons couldn’t help but note how adorable she looked when she was trying to keep her expression sombre and serious. He fights the grin that was trying to make its way onto his lips but it falls a few seconds later as he thinks over Raphael’s words once more. Simon was so sure that the Vampire was playing a joke on him as it just doesn’t make any logical sense. Then again, has anything appeared to have any logical reasoning since he was thrown head-first into this world? No.

Still, he lets out a sigh and says in a quiet voice, “I didn’t think he was serious.”

Clary doesn’t say anything in response; she knows all too well what Simon was thinking and couldn’t help but feel for him.

If it wasn’t for her, then Simon wouldn’t even know anything about the Shadow World. He would still be living a normal life. He would still be attending classes at the local College in order to complete his Degree. He would still spend his Saturday morning’s going to Java Jones and the Comic Book store, picking up the latest issue of whatever Superhero he was into that month. He would still be hanging out with his ‘band’, doing anything but actually making music... but he’s not.

Instead, he ended up following Clary when she went on the search for her Mom. He ended up needing a place to stay whilst being chased by Demons. He had refused to leave Clary alone with Jace, even though she had insisted that she would be fine with him. Clary should have known that Simon wouldn’t have turned his back on her, especially not when she was so worried about her Mom. That was jus the kind of friend Simon was; he wouldn’t let you face anything alone. He was always there to be a shoulder to cry on, and he was someone Clary could trust with absolutely everything. In a way, Clary was glad that Simon had followed her as she couldn’t bear the idea of exploring this strange new world without her best friend, but she still couldn’t stop the guilt from coursing through her entire body.

When she stops to really think about it, it’s not Simon’s fault at all.

Simon was in this state because of her.

Simon had been turned into a Vampire because she had wanted answers and had allowed Jace to lead her into the heart of the Clan’s territory.

If anyone was to blame here, then it was Clary.

Pushing those thoughts aside, she quickly shakes her head and moves to sit beside Simon on the bed. She loops an arm around his waist, relishing in the solidity of her friend and lets out a small sigh of her own before resting her head on his shoulder. She can feel Simon’s shoulders tense a little but they relax a second later and she feels the comforting weight of his own head resting against hers.

They’re quiet for several minutes and it’s Simon who speaks first.

“I know that I should have taken Raphael more seriously when he was going through the effects I’d feel but I honestly thought he was joking. Which yes, I understand is ridiculous as getting any form of humour our of Raphael would be like drawing blood from a stone but... no one ever warns you about stuff like this. I mean, seriously, how many times have you come across a movie that includes a Vampire getting paralysed by snow? Would you expect the all powerful Dracula to be paralysed by snow?”

Clary lets out a huff as she lifts her head from his shoulder and he turns his head to glance at her, his neck stiff from the cold.

“Simon, this is not like the movies. Whether you like it or not, this is real life. It’s happening right now and when it comes down to learning new facts about being a Vampire, then you need to listen to Raphael. Sure, he may be seen as grumpy and disinterested most of the time but he knows what he’s talking about and he’s trying his best to teach you everything he can because in case you hadn’t noticed, this is a pretty big deal.”

Clary motions down the length of Simon’s body as she talks and Simon can’t help but look away from her.

Instead, he looks down at his stiff, pale hands and lets out a sigh.

“Simon, can you promise me something?” Clary asked, tentatively.

“Anything,” Simon whispers after a moment, looking anywhere but in her direction because he knows that he literally would promise anything to Clary.

She thinks about the best way she could phrase her question as she focuses on Simon.

Even though he was trying not to look at her, Clary didn’t miss the tiredness that was in his eyes, she didn’t miss the way that his shoulders slumped as she spoke and she certainly didn’t miss the way that his hands trembled as he reached up for the throw blanket, grasping the soft material tightly as he attempts to stop his teeth from chattering. Simon may be a Vampire, an immortal being, but he was still her best friend and she felt saddened at the thought that he was still susceptible to weakness.

Just because he’s immortal now doesn’t mean he’s any less invincible... she thinks as she straightens up beside him.

Shoving the thought aside, she reaches out and gently cups his face, forcing him to look back at her. The action felt a little too intimate for Clary’s liking, the only time she had looked this intently at someone was when Jace had been standing close to her on the eve of her birthday when he had shown her the Institute’s Greenhouse. She quickly shakes her head. She can’t think of Jace right now so she licks her lips and waits patiently for Simon to focus his gaze on hers.

It doesn’t take long before his brown eyes are gazing into her own faded green ones.

“Promise me...” She starts, slowly. “Promise me, Simon, that once you’ve warmed up, you’ll call Raphael.”

As much as she originally wanted Simon to stay away from the Vampire, she had quickly come to realise that Simon needed Raphael if he was to survive and as far as she was aware, he hadn’t needed to be near any of the other Vampires. When he wasn’t staying in the boathouse by Luke’s Pack, he was with her at the Institute, much to Jace and Alec’s annoyance. But as she stares into his eyes, she knows that she’s doing the right thing. Raphael is the only person that can help Simon process everything that’s happened to him. As much as the Vampire tries to deny it, he remembers how it felt at the beginning and she knows that he’s still haunted by the experience.

Clary didn’t want Simon to be haunted by his transformation. Hell, he was still struggling to keep his bloodlust under control around his Mom and Sister, so if Raphael can help Simon then she’s not going to turn the Vampire away from her best friend. Vampire or not, Clary wants Simon in her life.

Simon must have picked up on what she was thinking because a second later he swallows the lump in his throat and nods.

“I promise,” Simon murmurs miserably, his eyes never straying from Clary’s as he moves forward and rests his forehead against hers.

It’s not like he has much of a choice; he’s literally the embodiment of a frozen icicle right now.

Clary tightens her grip around Simon’s waist for a second and lets out a groan as her phone starts to ring. She reluctantly pulls away from Simon, the movement causing Simon to let out a small groan of his own as he stumbles forward. Clary was ready to catch him as she uses her free hand to pull the phone out of her pocket and both Clary and Simon glance down at the Caller ID; Alec.

Frowning, Clary declines the call and shoves the phone back into her pocket, an action that has Simon grinning from ear-to-ear.

“Now that the serious talk is out of the way, how would you feel about a nice mug of Hot Cocoa and a movie?” Clary asks cheerfully as she walks away from the bed, already forgetting the interruption from the Head of the Institute. If it was important then Alec would no doubt call again.

Simon lifts his head at this suggestion, his eyes brighter than they were a few minutes ago.

“A movie? You mean... my choice?”

Clary lets out a laugh as she nods.

“Sure, Simon.”

“Alright! Sounds great, hey can you also order in some food? I’m starving!” Simon smiles, flexing his fingers to bring back more movement.

“You can make the call to Raphael to stock up your fridge but as for normal food... Chinese good?”

“Clary Fray, you never disappoint. Chinese sounds great!”

She lets out a laugh as she turns to leave his bedroom.

Simon watches her go and he can’t help but think that maybe the little inconveniences that come with being a Vampire aren’t as bad as he originally thought. If being almost paralysed by the slight snowdrift outside is enough to draw Clary away from the Institute to take care of him then maybe... maybe it’s not all bad after all.

the amount of people who don't get the depth of simon and clary's the parabatai bond throws me off tbh. i get that some people don't like it because our first introduction to their dynamic was the unrequited love trope but to think that there's someone else out there that could be clary or simon's parabatai that not each other is so ?? when have any of their relationship with other characters made you feel like it was on a parabatai-level? clary and izzy certainly were not parabatai material, not even close, and as much as i love simon and george, neither were they. clary and simon are one of the most parabatai-ish duos out there, especially for the fact they've been living by the oath before swearing on it. entreat me not to leave thee / for whither thou goest, i will go / where thou lodgest, i will lodge ??? simon and clary have been each other's family since they were six, to the point were their own blood family would refer and treat them as such. everything that happened with simon in tmi was because he went with clary to wherever she went and didn't leave. the pain clary felt when she came back from edom and realized simon was truly gone and how she felt a part of her had died is literally how it feels to lose part of your soul. their parabataism is overlooked because the oath doesn't take place on a main book and we don't see much from them as a parabatai duo (also, cc should be blamed for barely showing them as parabatai on the few scenes they shared in tda), but the context and the evidences are in the books. i have my complains about how climon was written and how they were downplayed in favor of the romantic, end-game couples, but everything pointed to them being parabatai and it makes sense.

TL;DR: climon are the second best parabatai duo in tsc and could probably beat heronstairs if 1) we weren't all emo bitches who like crying over heronstairs and 2) we had see more of them working as parabatai.

I feel like 23 (“Just tell why you did it!” “Because I’m in love with you, okay!”) is such a Jimon kind of argument, especially because of Simon nearly draining have dry in that scene with Valentine. Jace is the kind of person who’d rather die for you than admit his feelings directly. 😂 I wish I could throw out canon and reframe that scene into the start of jimon rather than the start of Climon. Thoughts?

Oooh, super interesting! This definitely fits them and works really well for that moment in canon. I’ll admit I have zero experience writing Jimon 😅 but I’m always down for a challenge so here’s my best shot:

Later, Jace will blame what he said on the near-death experience. Surely, one can’t be responsible for things admitted—well, screamed, really—while under the effects of extreme blood loss and vampire venom. Surely.

For now, he’s storming through the Institute corridors, blade clasped in one still-pale hand, and he’s just killed dozens and dozens of Downworlders, and he’s probably just killed Magnus, and he doesn’t, apparently, have demon blood, and he’s going to kill Valentine.

“Jace! Jace, wait!”

A hand grabs a hold of his sleeve, and he whirls around, blade coming up instinctively to level at the person’s throat.

Seeing that it’s Simon doesn’t really make him inclined to lower the blade.

“I don’t have time for you, Mundane.” He really shouldn’t call him that anymore, not when he has the evidence of how very much Simon isn’t a mundane carved into his wrist.

“I— I just—”

Jace yanks his blade away and turns to go.

Simon’s hand latches onto his arm. His grip is iron. Vamp strength.

“What do you want?”

“I just wanted to ask…” Simon’s voice is hesitant, but something about his gaze is firm. Mind made up. “If you’re okay. Are you okay?”

How could I possibly be okay? Jace wants to retort. How could I possibly be okay, when every good thing I try to do backfires? When the world is destroying itself because of me?

“It doesn’t matter,” he says, because I’m fine is a bit too transparent of a lie even for him. He knows how wrecked he looks. “I have a job to do.”

This time when he turns to leave, Simon lets him go, but calls after him, “You said that—you would’ve let me.”

Jace stops, gritting his teeth. “What?”

“When I was, um. Drinking. I said that I almost killed you, and you said, ‘I would’ve let you.’”

Damn him, he did say that. He curses the venom for loosening his tongue. “What’s your point?”

“Did you mean it?”

Jace spins around. “Did I mean it when I said your venom made me so woozy I probably would have just laid over and let you kill me? Sure, Simon, I meant it. That’s kind of how that works.”

This time Simon doesn’t let Jace’s deflections dissuade him. “That’s not what I’m asking.”

“Are you asking if I have a death wish?” Jace laughs. “We’re way past that point.”

“No, I—” Simon bites at his lower lip, making his fangs poke out. “There was a moment, I could tell, when you decided not to fight back. Before the venom took over. You decided.”

“You could tell that, huh?” Jace mocks.

Simon takes a step forward, and Jace takes a corresponding step back.

“I just want to know why,” Simon says.

“Obviously, I didn’t want to blow our cover,” Jace says, taking another step back. Simon being this close makes him nervous.

“No, Jace, I want to know why you decided to die. For—for me? For me.”

“You really think you know everything, huh?”

“Just tell me,” Simon insists, and oh God, he’s figured something out, Jace can see it in his expression, and Jace really needs to get the fuck out of here—

“Just tell me why you did it!” Simon yells, and Jace can’t fucking take this anymore.

It bursts out of him: “Because I’m in love with you, okay!”

Simon’s eyes widen in shock, and he’s breathing hard even though he doesn’t need to breathe, and Jace is breathing hard too, and oh, they’re—they’re really close together.

Jace feels frayed to the bone, emotionally wrung out like he can’t ever remember being, and he absolutely cannot handle being in love with Simon right now. He absolutely cannot handle having told Simon that he’s in love with him.

So before Simon can say anything in response, he turns and walks away, not quite at a run, but almost.

Later, he’ll find one million reasons why he didn’t mean it.

(shows are mixed & in no particular order; also I apologize in advance as I’m absolutely the worst at describing and reasoning the things I like skfsdj)

1. Ae (Love By Chance) homeboy had to be the first one on this list bc I’m still so in awe of him. It sounds weird but he’s just so real?? like whatever he says or does I feel and believe every single bit of it. Perth really did a phenomenal job at giving one of the most accurate and believable portrayals of an 18 year old boy; truly 👌🏻

2. Zon (Why R U) Literally 3 seconds into ep1 and I knew he was my child and I will protect him with my life and to this day nothing has changed. He’s a true disaster but I absolutely love his energy and his vulnerability; he’s a lot more versatile than he seems at first and I truly love him 🥺

3. Sarawat (2Gether) I still find his character fascinating and I know I keep repeating myself but Bright’s micro expressions??? *chef’s kiss* absolutely outstanding. I’m a bitch for hard-shell-soft-core-characters and he fulfills every bit of that. The fact that we get to witness the process of him softening up the more he’s around Tine and the more he falls in love is so amazing to watch and truly a blessing 💜

4. Third (Theory of Love) my ride or die lol he’s the easiest to put on this list; I related to him so much when I was watching the show, not only because of his situation with Khai but also bc of his love for storytelling and film like, in every scene I was like “wooow me” bc hell yes this is exactly what it feels like. 11/10 would adopt. 🤧

5. Hao Ting (History MODC) The absolute king of soft Himbos. I love everything about him. His duality of being the biggest jock-dumbass to becoming the softest teddy around the people he loves and cares about makes my heart jump out of my chest. A+ 😩

6. Thun (He’s Coming To Me) The softest boi and I’m still blown away by his A+ CO story like... just wow. never seen a better one tbh. no “I’m only gay for you “ bs but instead they really gave us a genuine and realistic story with a well written and developed character? I still can’t believe it. 🥰

7. Mia (Druck) The German version of Skam’s Noora and honestly she’s my favorite from all the characters in the Skam universe. Her mannerisms and character traits when she’s with her friends remind me a lot of me and my friends; Admittedly the story with her and Alex could’ve ended on a better note but I still like how they adapted it and kind of turned it around. I just love her 💙

8. Alice (Good Trouble) Idk if my followers know her but she is my absolute queen and I adore everything about her. I see myself a lot in her and her humor is absolutely killing me. Would definitely sell my soul to be friends with her 😍

9. Davia (Good Trouble) !!!!! My other queen !!!!! I don’t think I’ve ever related more to a character than to her and it’s the first time I’ve felt genuinely represented on television. Her story is real and I just feel everything about her like!!!! YES!!! I just love her to death and I’m looking forward to seeing her again in season 3!!! 💋

10. Simon (Shadowhunters) Anyone who has been following me for a while knows I used to be a Shadowhunters blog and even though I was Malec trash, Simon has always been my mvp of the show. His dorkiness and loyalty has always felt like an anchor in this show to me somehow and even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of Climon, I’ve always loved his friendship dynamic with Clary 💕

downfall of 2 dynamics: part 2

here’s more of my thoughts on this matter. ok, so now throughout s1, jalec was trying to establish a pecking order in the squad, which resulted in them fighting a lot. however, unlike other shows- in which this behavior comes off as merely immature testosterone fueled posturing just for the sake of being the top dog- the motivation for jalec’s s1 conflict stemmed from each of them trying to deal with their own individual insecurities. so this made the fighting more interesting.

jace was afraid of losing the lightwoods as his family, and reacted to that by becoming controlling- he tried to make alec emotionally dependent on him, so that alec would be unable to ever leave him behind. he also knew deep down- as he admitted in 2x13- that he was meant to be a soldier, not a leader. but he hadn’t accepted this yet and was still trying to call the shots in their group.

and alec was obviously gay and very repressed. now, i am grateful for matt’s comments during the 2017 afterbuzz- in which he compared jalec to climon, in terms of confusing strong friendship feelings with romantic feelings when one is young and naive- cuz it showed that he understands that jalec’s connection has always been strictly platonic... but i actually disagree with this interpretation.

imo what was really going on in s1- and prior- was that alec was just not ready to deal with being gay. for as long as he placed his feelings onto someone he knew could never return them- like his brother/ parabatai- he wouldn’t have to deal with them. it is pretty common, that those who are not ready to deal with their feelings often project onto unavailable people. it’s nice safe choice, since there’s no way that it can lead to anything- like when people develop a “crush” on a married person, a character, or a celebrity. and that is why alec became a little overwhelmed upon meeting magnus and the affection he was given- cuz he knew it could lead to something real and he wasn’t quite ready for that yet.

anyway, after s1, jalec rarely had deep conversations. they hardly had scenes where they opened up about their personal issues and just talked. you know, verbal communication, not just assuming the other one knows cuz they share a rune. so many of their scenes were just hugging it out for the umpteenth time. (i mean, they had over twice as many hugs as any of the other dynamics on the show- platonic or romantic! but the fandom just ignores that for some reason).

in s2 and s3, what happened to scenes like the bachelor party in 1x12? where jace opened up about his feelings, instead of like in 2x11 where he doesn’t talk, despite alec prompting him to. they just hug. or where alec opened up about his feelings, instead of like in 3x05 where he doesn’t talk, despite jace prompting him to. they just hug. you know how there’s that commonly known measure in media- that if you can’t tell 2 people have feelings without them kissing, then it’s not a well written romance? well, the same things applies to a friendship. if you can’t tell that 2 people are close without them hugging, then it’s not written well. the arm grasp in 1x12 was more meaningful than any of the later embraces imo.

it's not like im dead or anything ha ha ha.. buT JO WHAT WAS THAT. the new ep destroyed me. i dont think we had ever seen this side of alec before? just how overwhelmed he was with fear bc of Mags, it was all so different to me, it seemed surreal but was amazing. and we got hugs?!!! and listen up, hugS, not a hug!! i cant rn.(also come on the kiss couldve been juuust a lil longer like the wedding one BUT HEY IT WAS STILL MAGICAL). im so happy rn. oh, and, when is climon going to end again? meh.

HAHAHAHA Nitsa your first line got me doing that same dry laughter.

I KNOW. MALEC ABSOLUTELY AND DEVASTATINGLY RUINED ME. I cannot read/watch another love story again. Alec losing his entire grounds when he sees Clary and relates it to Magnus having been at the Institute, then looks at all the fallen Downworlders and lashing out at them because, where is Magnus? Scrape that, more like, please be anywhere, anywhere but here. That soft oh, god that goes beyond those two words; that has Alec praying to the angels for Magnus to be safe as he fleets from room to room, body to body, just to make sure it isn’t Magnus. Sure, he can recognise him from miles away, but he isn’t taking any chances.

Then him running out of the Institute, not even realising it’s already day, still mumbling low prayers with furrowed brows. Where, where do I go next? And he feels a firm grip at his elbow; please, and he catches sight of Magnus and slams straight into his arms, feeling Magnus’ arms circle around him, warm and secure. Thank God, Thank God, Thank God, you’re safe. And Magnus starts talking and he hears Madzie and Catarina and he’s hearing but not listening because Magnus is safe. He’s here, with me. Alec knows it’s an understatement when he says he was terrified, because what he felt was more like a bottomless pool of dread, like bile forcing its way up his throat, like a hand around his neck. Wait, was that what Magnus felt when he saw him on that ledge? This…this feeling of impending loss, it’s too, too overwhelming, too overbearing, too much like…I love you. I love you I love you I love you. The need to know and let know right at this moment. The kiss to let each other know, I’m glad you are safe and I want to keep you safe for the rest of eternity, however long eternity may be for us.

I’m so gone at this point, but look, their foreheads touch and their breaths mingle and in that moment, nothing else matters but them. If they could, they would melt into each other, but they have to settle for another tight embrace, taking in the warmth of each other’s body, with the musky smell of blood and fatigue and love.

I will never understand how they don't write in scenes that are actually needed and that people would love to see? Like Alec and Maryse talking about her treating him like shit for most of his life andthen properly apologizing for it would have been so healing to me and I'm sure many other LGBT viewers with similar family situations! But scenes of Clary and Jace flip flopping through the air to techno music and the likes are MUCH more needed and wanted! This show is such a mess sometimes, lmao.

Gawd, tell me about all these unnecessary scenes. Cut off a Malec scene because we need to see Sebastian asking out Clary? Soooo important. Ignoring Magnus’ trauma and pain because we need 38772873 Climon scenes that show and say exactly the same but feel like they won’t end? Yes, sure.

Honestly, this writing and cutting/editing sometimes leaves me so ?????

Shadowhunters Appreciation Meme

I saw this on my dash, and decided to do it for S01 - S3A, since I’m feeling emotional watching S3B, knowing Shadowhunters is being cancelled for no good reason.

1: Favorite episode: 1x12: “MALEC!”

This episode (the wedding scene in particular) got reblogged so much on my dash, and was referred to in fanfiction and fanart, and I was like WHAT is this.

2: Favorite character: MAGNUS BANE. Come on y’all.

3: Favorite Ship: Climon -- JUST KIDDING~~~! Malec is the only Shadowhunters ship of significance; fight me on this.

4: Favorite scene: The dragon fight with Magnus, Alec, and Izzy in 2x20.

5: Favorite ep from S1: I’ve said from day one that I didn’t like Season 1; most of the characters and plots got on my last nerve. But 1x12: “Malec“ was excellent, and Magnus Bane was frikkin fabulous (as usual).

6: Favorite ep from S2: Season 2 was a marked improvement over S1, but it had WAY too much going on. And they put my poor baby Magnus through the freaking WRINGER. Between the body swap, and the breakup, and all the other drama, S2′s episodes had me in a STATE. Episode 2x08 “Love is a Devil“ was fun, before it got SUPER dark. I enjoyed the party a lot.

7: Favorite ep from S3A: Season 3 is the best. 3a impressed me, and 3b so far is fantastic. 3x8: “A Heart of Darkness” and 3x9 were very emotional. Legit tear-jerkers.

8a: Favorite quote: “You've reached the voicemail of Magnus Bane. Please don't leave a message at the tone. I'm centuries old, and even I think it's outdated.“

8b: Favorite Malec quote: “I’ve always dreamed of meeting someone like you.“ Because YES, Alec. SAME. Me too! *ugly sobbing*

10: Favorite non-canon ship: I was gonna say Maruke (Mayrse Lightwood & Luke Garroway, but according to the S3B promos....! 👀 )

11: Top 3 EPs: The last 3 episodes of S3A, 3x8, 9 and 10.

12: A character you didn’t expect to love as much as you do now: Maryse Lightwood. Mama L. grew on me, cuz in Season 1 I was ready to SHANK that wench.

By late S2 and into S3A she had genuinely started realizing what a bigot she was (I think she was more against Alec choosing a Downworlder, and THE Downworlder, Magnus -- whom she’d had a serious beef with since her Nazi-wannabe days in Valentine’s Circle -- more than the fact that Magnus is a man, though the Clave for sure hates that, too. Suffice to say, she was pissed, all the way around). Maryse made amends with everyone, though, and I was like, “You know what that is? GROWTH.”

13: First actress you fell in love with: Izzy Lightwood. She’s so gorgeous.

14/15: First actor/character you fell in love with: Come on. We’re married.

16/17: When did you start watching the show/joined the fandom: Summer 2017 -- I binged through Season 1 and 2, after being beaten over the head since like 2016 with gifs and fanart, and all kinds of stuff on Tumblr and AO3. I immediately fell in love with Magnus, and watched the show strictly for him, and just enjoyed the Malec and the magic of the show. I enjoy the fanfics and even the books more than the show though.

18: How has the fandom influenced you: Other than the fact that Magnus Bane is officially my husband and taking over all of my blogs?

19: Did you meet people through the show: I’ve connected with dozens of people on Tumblr because of Malec, yes. We just fangirl and spazz out in each other’s IMs and it’s great! ^_^

20: What rep on the show have you identified with? I’m Team Downworlders, if that’s what you mean. Especially Team Warlocks. I actually hate the Shadowhunters. S1 Maryse is NOT a rarity -- for people with the blood of angels, the Clave is bigoted, petty and downright evil sometimes.

21: What character has helped you: Listen. Magnus gives me life, he really does. Iconic.

22: In what way has the show helped you: / 24: What has the show added to your life: It’s been giving me my fanciful fix since Teen Wolf ended. I can’t get into Supernatural (I've tried, but Crowley’s gone, so so am I), and I always need a fantasy show -- Game of Thrones, True Blood, Buffy, Charmed, Vampire Diaries, Sabrina, Penny Dreadful, The Magicians, etc. So I’ve been entertained, and I’m gonna be really bummed once it’s over. I hear Umbrella Academy’s good.

23: What are your hopes for the finale:

Malec Wedding at the Institute, dressed in gold and blue

Malec adopting Max and Rafael Lightwood-Bane

Announcement that there will be a spinoff, preferably for the Dark Artifices or Bane Chronicles.

☕️ sizzy has no on screen chemistry and breaking up an actually healthy happy couple of color to inject a white woman is racism and that’s it

I don’t think it’s racism.

First: there’s the fact that the jury is still not out whether Izzy is latina or not, considering that Maryse’ actress is latina, Izzy’s actress as well, and Robert’s is Spanish, but Alec and Max are played by white actors, and Emeraude has said she didn’t consider Izzy latina.

I am not latina, and as a result I do not feel qualified on whether or not Izzy is latina.

Second: Sizzy’s problem.

Sizzy was promised to the book fans from the first episodes of Season 1. It was supposed to be developed throughout the show it was supposed to be “endgame”.

So they did that. They built the ship in season 1. They built Izzy and Simon’s flirting, at least for a couple episodes. They had Izzy break up with Meliorn, they had her take the side of the Downworlders, knowing that Simon was a Downworlder now. They worked the two of them so they would meet in the middle. They made a whole episode (1x10) to show that Clace, Sizzy, and Malec were the three ships that would be the main of the show. And they stuck with that, with Clace and Malec. they added Climon had some point, but they always made it clear that Climon wasn’t supposed to be there. Malec? Some up and downs but always the knowledge Malec was meant to be. Sizzy? Sizzy was forgotten.

Season 2A rolled up. Clary was Jace’s sister now so Clace couldn’t happen. What could they do with Clary then? Give her a new love interest, someone who could help her deal with Jocelyn’s death because he knew her too. Someone like Simon, who was free and there, and had always been there.

And so Simon had now a storyline. But did Izzy? No she didn’t. Izzy had nothing. She didn’t have a boyfriend (because the show had gotten rid of Meliorn), she didn’t have much to do (no parabatai). So they added the yin fen. And they added Raphael. And suddenly, Izzy was addicted to vampire venom.

Season 2B happened. Clary wasn’t Jace’s sister anymore, so Clace could happen. So Simon was back to having nothing, and Izzy was still dealing with the aftermath of the yin fen. They couldn’t have her go directly into dating Simon again. And besides, they needed to have Sebastian with Izzy, so she couldn’t be dating anyone.

Maia was around for 2x13, and it was a good thing, and somehow they thought her sleeping with Jace made sense (it was unnecessary at best, since they didn’t have that much chemistry. They just needed Jace to fuck someone, and she was there, and he had apologized for treating her like an animal so everything was okay, you know? *sarcasm*).

So when 2x14 happened, and Clary chose Jace, Simon was alone. And again, they couldn’t have him with nothing to do and no one around him for 6 episodes, you know?

Izzy was busy dealing with Raphael and Sebastian anyway, so Maia was the closest and it was close enough to the book storyline that it wasn’t that much out of the blue. Besides, there had been those dates in 2A, so they were like YES WE KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH SIMON NOW.

so they even had Izzy go to Simon and Maia and be “oh she’s cute, you definitely should date her”.

So they finished season 2 with Izzy being single, Saia being nice, and Clace and Malec.

And then they remembered about Sizzy. And 3A happened.

They added Charlie, to show that Izzy was over Raphael (and added Raphael experimenting on Heidi, to really hammer in that Rizzy? OVER).

They introduced Jordan. Which they didn’t need to do, at all, even if the in-universe excuse isn’t that bad. But they needed Jordan because they needed Maia to get out of the way.

And in the middle, in between Maia and Simon telling each other they were going to stay by each other’s side, they added Izzy kissing his cheek. they added Heidi thinking Izzy was Simon’s girlfriend.

Because they needed to have Sizzy develop. Even if Saia was there and GOOD, Saia wasn’t supposed to happen, it wasn’t supposed to be good. Saia was not supposed to be this.

So they had Maia leave (which again, story-wis, makes sense), so that way Izzy could remain Simon’s only emotional support. Maia could have been that for him, she should have been, according to everything we had seen of Simon & Izzy/Simon & Maia. But they desperatly needed Sizzy to happen.

So at the end of 3A, we end up with:

- a ship that was supposed to happen, will happen, but will happen in a way that will feel forced no matter what you say, because the writers forgot to develop it. - a ship that was never supposed to happen like this, happened, and now will be forced apart to please the book fans that shipped Sizzy even before the show started.

That’s the kind of thing that happens when the writers focus too much on Clary and Jace.

Izzy’s storylines have barely existed throughout the show. She was always there to be Alec’s sister, Clary’s best friend, Simon’s future girlfriend, Jace’s sister (barely), the person Sebastian was going to manipulate to get in, Maryse’s daughter, the Shadowhunter who slept with Downworlders. She never really had storylines that were more than supportive of other characters, except in season 1.

Simon was Clary’s best friend, the guy who was jealous because Clary wanted Jace (that poses a LOT of questions for me about antisemitic character tropes, and if anyone is interested in that, I can explain), the guy who was trying to date Maia, Clary’s boyfriend, Maia’s boyfriend.

When you forget two of the main characters, there’s no way you can make them a ship of themselves.

So no, I don’t think it’s racist, and I don’t think they have no chemistry. I think they had starts of chemistry, then chemistry as friends. Not as lovers though.

Characters I love #12: Simon Lewis

Simon’s my favourite character on the show so of course he’s the first Shadowhunters character I’ll do. By the time this is up, 3x03 will have aired/is airing/will be airing in a bit. I don’t know, I live in a complete different time zone. PS: I haven’t seen 3x02 yet.

Since when do I love him?: Since the first episode, he was so adorable! Worried about Clary having a good birthday and accounting. I started watching the show late 2016.

Favourite moment: Him playing music! And visiting his family that he misses so badly!

Favourite dynamics:

The Lewis Family: I feel bad that Simon has to leave them behind. He loves them so much! Rebecca and him are bickering siblings. Elaine and him miss eachother so much! And he’s such a sweet grandson to his Bubby Helen! I also loved that he explained he can’t do what the Clave wants him to do because it parallells what Helen had to go through.

Simon/Luke: Luke’s always been there for Simon. He’s always cared for Simon. Simon’s also always there for Luke. When he was grieving Jocelyn’s death, Simon and Maia went out of their way to save him. And when Simon was heartbroken after the Seelie Court and missing, Luke went out of his way to look for Simon and possibly save him from danger.

Season 1, 2A and 3 Climon: Let’s just not think too much about the Seelie Court. I love their friendship and I liked their romance in 2A a little. They are eachothers rocks (my tag for their bond). Clary helped Simon through dark times. But when the pain of Jocelyn’s death finally hit her, she was shocked. When she realised Simon was trying to comfort her, she wrapped her arms around him because she needs him just as much as he needs her.

Saia: They have so much chemistry! They are adorable Downworlders in love! Also their relationship is quite unique, when do you see a vampire be friends/gradually fall in love with a werewolf? They already went through so much! I know it won’t be likely but I hope they’re gonna be endgame.

Simon/Magnus: I love how Magnus never showed disdain towards Simon and actually wants to help him through whatever he is going through. Magnus didn’t have anyone, he doesn’t want any other new Downworlder to suffer the same faith.

Jimon: I used to reblog a lot about this pairing. But with the thing Dom did in november, I kinda stopped. But what I liked is that they didn’t paint them as love rivals more than necessary. When Simon got violent with Jace, it wasn’t because of Clace. It was because Camille messed him up and he got aggravated. Jace wondered if something was wrong. They also work well together. Also, Simon thinks Jace is good looking. He has called Jace handsome when they weren’t even friends and he even says it’s a matter of time before he himself sleeps with Jace. Jace also has called Simon pretty and that made Simon quite happy.

Sizzy: She was the first person in this mess (yes I call this show a mess, since every character is a literal emotional mess) to actually like him and think he’s funny. They both think the other is hot. If they do happen, I hope it won’t be that Simon cheats on both her and Maia at the same time. It doesn’t make sense with his character, especially considering he has been cheated on before. They also have nice chemistry. Now as friends. I like this pairing platonically more since I prefer Simon with Maia and Izzy doing her own thing. But if they do end up together in a good way? Than that doesn’t sound bad at all!

I’m actually super stoked for his storyline. He has been branded with something by the Seelie Queen. So now he not only will have to deal with the complications of being immortal, having to feed, a vampire that walks in the sun but also potentially something else? I can’t wait, Alberto’s gonna kill it. He’s been doing it since the beginning!

Finding out something new

A/N: This is for the Anon who asked; Can I get an imagine w/Jace Wayland?Where the reader is friends w/Climon and she's a werewolf but she never told her friends?One day Clary needs her help and she goes to her place w/Simon and Jace.Reader knows Jace is a shadowhunter(bc of the runes).Reader is very sarcastic especially w/Simon so she always makes funny remarks and Jace immediately likes her.At the end she tells her friends that she's as well a supernatural creature and Jace likes her even more then and maybe ask her on a date? Its a bit different but I hope that you like it.

Paring: Jace/Reader

I awaken out of a dead sleep to hear pounding on my door. I turn and grab my cell off the table to look at the time and find that it’s just after three in the morning. Once again, I hear the pounding at my door, but this time louder. Throwing off my blankets, I make my way through my apartment to the door. Ripping the door open, I find Clary and Simon carrying a blonde boy. All are covered in blood. I stand there for a second before I move to let them in. Clary and Simon move to the small living room and lay the unconscious boy down.

“What happened?” Clary and Simon jump at my voice breaking the silence.

“You wouldn’t believe us if we told you.” Clary says as I walk out of the room towards the bathroom to get the first aid kit that I keep there. When I return, neither of them have moved an inch.

“We’re so sorry for coming here, but we didn't think that we could make it back….home.” Clary stutters as I sit down to start working on the injuries.

“It’s fine. I told you that you both could come over whenever.”As I am cleaning the cuts that mar his face, I notice that the blonde has Runes on his neck. A Shadowhunter? Putting the first aid kit next to me I search his pockets finding his stele in his left pocket. I turn and set it down next to me before turning and looking at Clary. It’s only then that I notice that Clary also has Runes on her. Looking back down at the stele, I grasp it in my hand before moving to Clary.

“Clary, you know how to use this?” I ask, when she just shakes her head I move back over to the boy and find the Iratze Rune.

“I need you to activate this.” I point to the Rune on the boy. After Clary does, I move to look him over finding that the cuts and bruises fading, leaving the most perfect skin behind.

“Clary, I need you to do the same thing to the Rune on your neck.” She still has the stele in her hand. Once her cuts and bruises are dealt with I move on to Simon, who does not appear to have any Runes on him, telling me that I will need to clean these ones by hand.

“Unfortunately for you, Simon, you don't get any cool powers, so I’ll have to clean and bandage yours.” I say with a smile as I sit down in front of him. Opening the bottle of antiseptic wash, I wet a clean piece of gauze before picking up his hand and cleaning his cuts that are on his knuckles. We sit in silence the only sound that can be heard is the sound of our breathing with the occasional intake of breath from Simon when a cut particular stings.

“I think you both need to tell me what’s going on.” I break the silence once all of his cuts are clean and bandaged. I stand and make my way to the kitchen. Once all the used gauze is thrown away, I wash my hands. Turning back around, I find Clary and Simon just standing there.

“Well, it all started….” I stand there and listen to Clary tell me about how she found out she was a Shadowhunter on her eighteenth birthday and everything that has happened since. A lot has happened in the two weeks since Clary’s birthday.

“So, your mom. Clary have you found her?” I say unfazed.

“Wait, you're not going to tell us that we’re crazy?” Simon leans back against the counter.

“Are you forgetting that I told Clary which Runes to activate on her and, what did you say his name was, Jace? Seriously, Simon, I thought you were the smart one here” I say with a smile on my face.

“Oh… yeah, how did you know that? You’re not a Shadowhunter, are you?” Clary asks after a moment of silence when her and Simon are looking between each other trying to put the pieces together and figure out if I am a Shadowhunter.

Before I could answer, we hear a groan come from the living room. Moving to the fridge, I grab a bottle of water and make my way back to Jace to see him sitting up on the couch.

“Take it easy, Wonder Boy. You got a nasty bump on your head.” I tell him as I hand him the bottle of water before I take a seat in front of him.

“Where am I? And who are you?” Jace says to me as he looks around the room.

“Well, if you can't tell, Wonder Boy, you are in my humble home. And as for who I am, I am the most wonderful and amazing best friend to Clary and Simon.” I say to him with a smile on my face. Jace raises his eyebrows at that.

“They brought you here because I’m going to school to be a doctor and they thought I could help.” I say more gently. “I had Clary activate your Iratze for you and that healed your cuts and bruises, but unfortunately, the bump on your head is pretty bad and will need a couple more days.”

“Thanks….” Jace says as he looks me up and down as if trying to figure out what or who I am.

“Oh, I'm Y/N. Now, come on. The sun is almost up and I’m sure that people are starting to worry about you. Simon, why don't you head on home? I’m sure your mom is just going crazy wondering where you are. I will help Clary and Wonder Boy home.” I walk to my room to pull on something other than my pajamas. With a simple black v-neck and skinny jeans, I walk back out and find them all still standing there looking at me, almost with wonder on their faces.

“What? Do I have something on my face?” I turn to look in the mirror that hangs on the wall next to me, before I start to pull my L/S hair up into a messy bun.

“How do you know about the Shadow world?” Jace asks as I turn to look at them again.

“Not going to get out of this am I? It’s a long story. Let's get you all home before I tell it. I take it you’re not going home, are you Simon?” With a shake of Simon’s head, I continue, “Of course not.”

After that, the walk back to the Institute is quiet with none of us speaking. The walk doesn’t take long and for that I’m grateful. Jace goes to draw a Rune on his hand, but before he can, I stop him by placing my hand on his shoulder drawing his attention to me.

“Don't worry about it, Wonder Boy. I can already see it.” I wait for them all to start to walk up the steps with me following them. Walking into the Institute is a surreal moment for me. Knowing about it and seeing it are two very different things. I can't help but look around in wonder for a moment before I hear Jace’s name being yelled and a girl hugging him, followed by another boy probably the same age as Jace.

“Where have you been? You had us so worried.” She says as she pulls out of the hug and looks up at Jace.

“Who are you?”

“The names Y/N, Grumpy Cat.” I look him up and down, taking in his hazel eyes and messy hair. Yep, a Lightwood. Should have known that I would find them here.

“Why did you bring a Mundane with you? Wasn't one enough?” He says as he turns to look at Jace.

“Nice to meet you too, Grumpy Cat.” I mumble under my breath, but judging from the smile that forms on the face of the girl that just hugged Jace I would say she heard me…Oops.

“Ignore my brother. I'm Izzy and he’s Alec.” Izzy says as she points to Grumpy Cat.

“It’s nice to meet you. And you too, Grumpy Cat.” I say with the sweetest smile on my face, saying it loud enough for him to hear this time.

“Seriously, why is she here?” Alec says once again turning away from me with a frown on his face.

“We were attacked by some demons and Jace was hurt. Y/N here is going to school to be a doctor and her apartment wasn’t that far from where we were and we couldn’t make it back here. We were too hurt.” Clary says to Alec with the most defiance I think I’ve ever seen from her.

“You’re welcome, Grumpy Cat. Let's move this pow wow some place else, shall we? The conversation that I told Clary we would have is NOT for everyone's ears.” I cross my arms over my chest daring him to say anything different.

“We can use my room.” Izzy says to us all.

“Why, thank you, kind lady.” I move to follow her. The walk to her room is quiet, none of us saying anything, which seems to be the normal thing now. Once the door is closed, I turn to look at Clary. “Well, what do you want to know?”

“How did you know about the Runes?” Clary takes a seat on the bed.

“Straight to the point I see, my red head. Well, to put it shortly, I’m the New York Keeper.” I take a seat after I grab the chair from the desk turning it so I could sit and lean my arms against the back of it.

“The what?” Simon says to me.

“A Keeper is similar I guess to a librarian. Those people like me, we’re the keepers of the truth. The keepers of our one true past and the books too dangerous for any one man to have access to.”

“Our past? Dangerous books? What do you mean?”

“Yes, Izzy. You see, history is written by those people who won, not by those who have suffered. It’s the job of the keeper to write an impartial history. The truth, that’s how I know of the shadow world. It’s my job and others like me to keep the history of all of us. Human, Nephilim, and Downworlders alike. The books have the power to destroy in ways that none of us have ever seen, tell secrets that must never be told, knowledge that must never be shared.”

“But you know these things?” Alec says.

“Yes, it’s my job to know these things. There’s a lot going on in my head and not all of it is good. That’s why I want to be a doctor. I want to help people in ways that being a keeper does not allow me to.”

“So, that's how you knew about that Shadow world.” Simon leans against the wall.

“Why didn't you tell Simon and I?” Clary says with a hurt look on her face.

“I couldn’t tell you. It goes against the rules and everything that I have been taught. This is what I was born to do Clary.” I say hoping that she will hear my sincerity in my voice.

“Are you human?” Izzy asks from her place on the bed.

“Yes and no. I’m human born, but like all the others, at the age of ten, we begin learning the ways of the keeper and we change.”

“Change?” Clary says.

“My life is much longer than a normal human. I will live for centuries. I see the world in ways that no other person can. I can see everything. The good and the bad. I’m sworn to never interfere with the world I must protect much like all of you.”

“Is that why we have never heard of the Keepers before?” Alec says for the first time.

“Yes, and I ask you not to tell anyone about the Keepers. Look, I got class here soon. If you need anything, Clary and Simon have my number. Call me.” I stand up and put my chair back at the desk.

“Let me show you out.” Jace says walking over to me.

“That would be nice, Wonder Boy. Thank you. Clary, Simon, you should come over tonight, all of you if you want. But I think the three of us have some catching up to do.”

“Sure, we’ll be over by six?” Clary says indefinitely.

“Six is good, I'll get the food. Just let me know all that I’m getting for.” I walk out of the room with a wave and Jace right behind of me. As we are walking back out of the Institute, I take in things that I missed when we were walking back to Izzy’s room. I can't help but think that the Institute is so beautiful. Stepping out of the doors of the Institute, I take a deep breath letting my shoulders relax. That went so much better than what I thought it was going to go.

“Y/N? I just wanted to say thank you for helping and stuff…” Jace says before I walk away from him.

“No problem, Wonder Boy. A friend of Clary and Simon is a friend of mine.”

“Would you like to get dinner some time…. You know, as a thank you.” Jace says to me with a blush on his face so faint that I don't think any other person would’ve noticed it.

“Asking me on a date, Wonder Boy? I would love to, Jace.” I smile.

“Saturday?” Jace asks me.

“Sounds great. Pick me up at mine at five.”

“Okay. Yeah, I’ll be there.”

“Clary has my number, get it from her and text me sometime before that.” I kiss him on the cheek and walk away, with a smile on my face. I can't help but know things just got better and a hell of a lot more complicated.

SH - Recap/Episode Highlights: Beside Still Water

-Opens with Sebastian dying. He stay doing some annoying shit -_- -Maia sassing the Queen who’s holding her hostage/obsessed with Simon being a Daylighter -Maia being all BOONK GANG WHOLE LOTTA GANG SHIT until the Queen wrapped her in vines -The tech at the Institute -“He was your brother” lmao so were you, Jace -Alec saying “I got this” and putting his book counterpart to shame by killing a demon dragon with 1 arrow -The demon dragon getting slain by Alec only to have demon dragon babies -LUKE AND SIMON cutting the Queen’s ass for allowing Valentine to go to Idris -Take a shot every time someone says Daylighter -Jace “when am I ever not careful” Wayland pretending like he’s not reckless -Magnus “What do you want, Shadowhunter?” Bane being petty 🙌 -Non-cringe worthy Clace -Book character/Sketchy Circle Member Alert: Consul Malachi -Jace and Clary get tied up by said character -Simon, Luke, and Maia/Izzy, Magnus, and Alec working together

-Sebastian opened a riff to Edom. Back on his annoying shit

-“You gonna be okay?”…“I’m the High Warlock of Brooklyn"

-Magnus being a BAMF and trying to close the riff to Edom and simultaneously saving Alec -Maia is found! -Clary and Jace come this /\ close to getting executed until Jace’s angel blood comes through and he frees them both -The show does Jace’s "death” right by having Alec feel it whereas in the book Jace is dead for like 15 minutes and Alec, his parabatai, feels absolutely nothing -Jace tells Clary he loves her!!! -Jocelyn gets mentioned by her homicidal ex like she actually existed or something

-We see all 3 Mortal Instruments (cup, sword, mirror) come together and Val raises the angel 👼 Raziel who clearly didn’t wanna be bothered

-Clary comes this /\ close to getting killed by her pops/VALENTINE IS DEAD -Clary uses her ONE wish from a HOLY ANGEL to bring her man back -Celebratory party at the Hunter’s Moon ft. Clizzy saying they’re sisters, Luke’s python sized biceps, BFFs Climon, Saia, friendly Jaia, and a Malec reconciliation -Ollie’s nosey, gate crashing ass shows up -Preview of the heavenly fire in Jace’s veins -Sebastian being saved by Lilith *sucks teeth* -Honestly an amazing finale, excited for next season!

MALEC (and some other Shadowhunters pairings/friendship) headcanon - Part 3

Part 2

Warning: Could contained SPOILER. Proceed with caution.

- Alec knows that almost no one - no matter if they are Downworlder or Shadowhunter or even mundane, no matter what their sexual orientation is.. no matter if they hate or likes him - could deny that Magnus is beautiful. Alec thinks so too~.. but more than that, Alec just thinks Magnus is really really the cutest thing ever existed. Don’t tell Magnus but sometimes when he tries to be sexy and seductive and coy, all Alec could think of is just how adorable his lover is: those bright eyes looking up at him..those pink lips pursing into a pout when Alec pretends he didn’t notice Magnus wants his attention..

- Sometimes Alec is the little spoon. Sometimes Magnus is the little spoon. Sometimes Alec wakes up and found he’d drooled all over Magnus chest. Sometimes Magnus wakes up to Alec hugging him to his chest so tight he could barely breathe. Sometimes the night was just too hot and there’ll be a considerable space in between their bodies. Whatever their position may end up in the morning though, one thing for sure: they almost always, with hands entwined in between them, fall asleep facing each other.

- It’s true that Simon thinks Luke as his unofficial dad. But he also knows that between him and Clary, Luke will always be more partial towards Clary. Simon is pretty sure that goes for Magnus as well (not to mentioned Magnus’s boyfriend hates Simon)... So why, Simon questioned himself, even knowing all that, he still found himself standing right outside the warlock’s door at 2 in the morning, soaking wet from the heavy rain outside and feeling so painfully lonely and hurt - 3 days after that Seelie Court visit.

- Magnus opened the door just as Simon turned to leave, ushered him inside and without saying anything, just grabbed the young vampire into a big tight hug.

- Simon was ashamed to admit it but he cried: snot and all. Tried to explained in jumbled of words but Magnus just shushed him and just hugged him tighter (Simon later found out that Jace had confided in Alec what happened at the Seelie Court and apparently #malec couple is one of those couples that share almost everything with their partner)

- Malec on Seelie Court incident after they heard what happened between Clary, Jace and Simon:

“It was no one’s fault, obviously.. but.. still.. Simon deserves better.. That Queen~ she’s always such a...” *sigh* “If it was us and Jace.. and you were in Clary’s place.. what do you th..”

“It’ll be you.”

“..but you and him..”

“Magnus, Jace made me aware that I might be different. But you.. you are the reason I’m not ashamed of it, that I embraced it... that I’m thankful for it.

So it’ll be you. No what or if about it. For me, it’ll always be you..”

- It truly was no one’s fault.. Just one of those shitty things that we called life. But if for the next few weeks Clary found her hair keeps getting tangled like bird’s nest no matter how many times she brushed it in a day or that Jace found no matter where he goes for patrol, there’ll be a duck popping out of nowhere and keeps stalking him, if all vampires (especially Raphael’s clan) is extra growly with both Jace and Clary, and if their drinks order keep getting mixed up - especially when it was Maia manning the bar... well, no one’s admitting to anything.

(they may have their differences and disagreements between races but when it comes to Shadowhunters, the Downworlders is a united front protecting their own from ‘em uppity Angels bullies)

- The first time they noticed Izzy been spending more and more time with Simon, Magnus asked Alec tentatively how does he feels about those two budding friendship-probably-gonna-be-more-if-Izzy’s-hungry looks-towards-Simon-to-be-believed.. Surprisingly, Alec said he has no problem with Izzy being with Simon... largely due to the fact that Alec knows full well that Izzy will be the one be in full control in that relationship~ ^^;;

- Magnus offered to take Alec away from everything: The Clave, The Institute, Shadow World itself~... All Alec needs to do is just say the word, and Magnus wouldn’t hesitate to quit the High Warlock post and spirit Alec away from all the stress and lies and judgement.. Just the two of them, off to explore the world twice over before retiring to any country of Alec’s liking. Alec just smiled, kissed Magnus and said that was a very nice offer but he has to say no.

- He didn’t want to even admit it to himself but what he truly meant was.. not yet.

- Izzy is super protective of Simon and if she heard of any vampires/werewolves/shadowhunters bullying or even talking bad/down on Simon, she would literally hunt them down ad kick their ass.

- Simon told her that he is a vampire and thus is very strong (not to mentioned has super speed) and could take care of himself. Izzy said if Simon could best her in a mock sparring, she would agree to tone down a bit.

...... Current score? Izzy: 12, Simon: 1 (Izzy had a cold that day and Simon got in a lucky foot sweep move)

- Luke misses her every day: her early morning smile, her funny faces in trying to make him laugh, her never ending failure in making edible omelette, her gentleness, her stubbornness, their warm days and hotter nights... When she’s gone, something inside him broke and hurts and his wolf mourned and howled to the moon goddess, begging to follow his heart to the Afterlife.

He thought he would never feel again... he didn’t even want to.

But... life funny in the most unexpected way..

No matter how much you get kicked down,

no matter how hurt you are.. so hurt that you feel like dying.

When you think 'this is it'

When you promised yourself 'no more'.

The world still keeps turning.

You still going to find yourself living day after day after day

When your inside felt like something was carved out of them,

Look outside the window and see how nothing had change.

For what are we to the vast universe but a speck of dust - lost in the sands of time.

And so one day in the middle of laughing about some of the ridiculous silliest thing, Luke realized that the gaping wound in his heart is but just a distant throbbing.

He looks across to the (truly rare) sight of one Maryse Lightwood trying not to laugh out loud (gotta keep the stern image up, right~?) but is failing miserably, and thought.. ‘Ah~.. could it be...?’

- Magnus brought Alec to visit Indonesia. And though the place changed a lot since he was small (800 years old is a damn long time after all~ the site where his house once was, now has a huge shopping mall on it), they did visit the Candi Borobudur - the temple in which Magnus found the sanctuary in with the monks after the tragic incident with his parents. And as Alec walks silently among all those huge statues with Magnus besides him - chattering on about the history of the place; he imagines small, chubby-cheeked Magnus still in shock and traumatized by the suicide of his mother and the murder of his stepfather by his own tiny hands. Alec imagines how lonely and sad and terrified Magnus must’ve felt then, being among these strange stern-looking monks... unsure of his fate, unsure of even what he is.. He imagines all that, and pulls Magnus closer to him - as if to offer comfort to that little boy, long gone hundreds of years ago..

Aaahhh riiight. So. Dom is not allowed to have an opinion Malec. But you aaaaall are allowed to have an opinion on Clace and Sizzy and Climon and Jaia and Saia and every other Het couple out there. Oh yeah. Equality for sure. Listen. Dom can share his opinion all he wants and he's not going to stop for just you. You don't like his opinion? Fine. That's cool. You can be polite or civil about it. If you're angry fine, but don't tag him. Don't tag Matt. Don't tagg Harry. I saw someone do that and what the actual fuck. Leave them out of your anger tantrum. I want to make apologies to Matthew Daddario. Because apparently we can not be nice to each other or not send mean things to others for a few hours, not even when he asks us too so nicely.

SH 2X19 (Honestly I am lost)

I watched the episode in the morning and it is night now (Sorry if I miss out on stuff).. I honestly don’t know how to feel about the episode... It was good but I feel conflicted in more than one place and certain characters just pissed me off so much I wanted to reach into the screen and choke the life out of them...

Ok there maybe certain things below that I might get hate for but Idc coz it is just my POV...

-Sebastian was mind-blowing, OMG he gave me the fucking chills, but at the same time I teared up when I saw him in the park.. I saw a boy who was yearning for love and nothing else... I mean he wants to love and be loved, is that too much??? RIP Sebastian (Although I don’t think he is ‘dead for good’ i mean that removes a whole chunk of the story-line moving forward)

-Luke had some awesome scenes in this.. I liked his scene with Clary and Magnus at the beginning...

-Valentine the asshole turned a bunch of people at a funeral into forsakens??? OMG Sadisitc MF... I don’t think he would have come back for Jonathan.. And I wanna know what did he whisper into the seelie queen’s ear, I mean the bitch went from ‘I will serve your head on a platter’ to ‘walk with me’??? WTF..

-Raphael was in only a coupe scenes but he did good... His conversation with Izzy had me on the brink of tears... and it was nice to see him and Luke side by side instead of at each other’s throats...

-Simon as usual being the ray of sunshine and OMG when he dragged the Seelie Queen, I was screaming at the screen ‘GO BOY, SHOW THAT BITCH HER PLACE’

-Maia being in charge and the badass that she is was everything... you GO GIRL... OMG she and Simon, so cute...

-Seelie Queen/Queen Amara- Sarah did a good job as the queen.. Lola was amazing as usual... I downright HATE the Seelie Queen, she was one of the characters I wanted to reach through the screen and choke her dead... Bitch went from accusing my Baby for letting Valentine escape to She herself joining him...Manipulative Piece of Shit...

Magnus I LOVE MAGNUS A LOT but OMG he needs to get his head out of his ass and see that siding with the bitch is stupid and that emotions are ruling his fucking decisions right now.. Now I might get hate for saying this was he was being a complete A-Hole during the entire cabinet meeting... Fuck that was so OOC it got on my nerves so badly that I was so close to breaking something... The way he treated Alec, OMG get out of my face... BUT I cried when he was looking at that pic of him and Alec (The heartbreak visible in his face & eyes) and him being a DAD with Madzie...

-Izzy was as usual being the BADASS QUEEN that she is, and OMG her fight with the Forsakens and especially with Jonathan was so badass, I got chills... It was nice to see her whip after ages...

-Clary was surprisingly less annoying in this epsidoe and quite Badass herself.. The portal finally worked properly.. she fighting the forsakens was badass... The HIGHLIGHT of the EPISODE was her DRAGGING THE SEELIE QUEEN... WOW you Go Girl!!!

-Jace again got my attention when he dragged the Seelie Queen (Bitch got Dragged not ONCE but Thrice), Fuck Yeah... His fight with Jonathan was so good and Badass... It was nice to see the Parbatai’s fight together, though it kinda reminded me that flashback scene from 2x03 with young Jace and Alec..

-Alec Holy shit He was being a BAMF... I mean HE GOT TWO FORSAKENS WITH ONE FUCKING ARROW.... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.... He was so Badass this whole episode, I was proud of him... I felt so bad for him during the cabinet meeting, coz he looked heartbroken and the way he looked at Magnus when he was leaving with the Seelie Queen... My already shattered Heart again shattered into a million pieces...

-Clace the glowing scene was cute and visually amazing to watch but after a certain point I felt kinda uncomfortable coz It got unnecessarily sexual for me... I mean did they real had to hug and did she really had to give that expression (you know which one) ???? -Climon being buddies again was cute to watch -Rizzy broke my heart... That was a beautiful scene -Saia is Cute af... Maia deserves happiness and Simon makes her happy.. -The J.C vs J.C fight was everything... Will Tudor just blew my mind... I will miss seeing his amazing talent and that beautiful face on my screen ( I feel he’ll be back) -Malec broke my heart... I know they will be back together for the finale but it still Hurts, Especially the Cabinet scene killed me and the Photo booth Pic got me real good with my emotions...

It was really nice to see MADZIE and CATARINA... YAY... hoping to see more of them in the future...
