Imogen Herondale being the only one who recognized Jace's birthmark was so significant to me, because she just knew. She hardly denied it. She was the first person who knew Jace was a Herondale and she only told him that his dad(Stephen) would be proud of him. Because although he might find out his true heritage later, he might not get to hear those words from any of his actual relatives if Imogen died, and he would consider others are lying. That was more important.
on my tmi reread I actually cried during that moment. I was so excited for it and it left me thinking about Imogen for longer than normal. She lived most of her life grieving and ice-cold because her family had been ruined. She was alone and only in her final moments she got to know that the Herondale name will live on after her. She got to look at her grandson properly. I can't imagine the regret she must've felt when she realized she'd been against him the whole time, not caring one bit about him.

I don't understand how there's people that don't like Jace Herondale, like be for real how can you not like a man that literally looks at his girfriend as if SHE WAS A MIRACLE PAINTED ACROSS THE FACE OF THE WORLD THAT HE COULD BARELY BELIVE IN!?!?!
Tumblr media
HE LITERALLY ALWAYS LOOKS AT HER AS IF SHE WERE A SMALL MIRACLE, THE KIND THAT YOU KEEP CLOSE TO YOUR HEART !!!
Tumblr media
He loves his woman like a mad man 😭😭❤️❤️❤️
@ God when’s my turn??? I need me one of those!!

“Sarcasm is the last refuge of the imaginatively bankrupt,” she told him.
“I can’t help it. I use my rapier wit to hide my inner pain.”
“Your pain will be outer soon if you don’t get out of traffic. Are you trying to get run over by a cab?”
“Don’t be ridiculous,” he said. “We could never get a cab that easily in this neighborhood.”

i love parallels
it’s so poetic that Clary’s first rune was made by Jace (her love interest) and Kit’s was made by Ty (also his love interest). the saga started like that and will end like that.

I'm once again down the rabbit role that is sizzy and shadowhunters - well, I never really left, but sometimes I put them a bit aside to enjoy other passions - anyway...
I'm once again thinking about - and feeling very angry about how Izzy's feeling regarding Max's death were poorly handled and put aside to give more importance to Malec and Clace love conflicts - and yes, I get that they were kinda the centre of everything, but still - and even more angry with the fact that when Izzy needed Alec the most he decided to go on vacation with his boyfriend. And how Jace was too busy following Clary around like a lost puppy
and the only person who saw her, who was there to comfort her, was Simon. scrawny little mundane bastard, Simon. except he was not. scrawny. or a mundane. (see what I did here?) anyway, Simon was the ONLY ONE by her side when she needed the most. the only person who actually understood her, her pain... Simon was the only person to tell Izzy that what happened to Max wasn't her fault.
that's why Simon was the first and only person Izzy really opened up to. like for real. the only person to who she felt comfortable enough to tell one of her family's big secret - the fact that Robert had cheated on Maryse and was going to leave them, and only stayed bc of Max. Simon, who never expected anything from her, who loved her for who she was and never tried to change her, never wanted to change her.
anyway, I'm losing my train of thoughts now so I'll stop talking

Clary stretched her body out, trying to line herself up with him, and saw his eyes darken as he watched her. Her wet underclothes clung to her body as Jace’s clung to his. She let her eyes roam over him, taking in what was familiar and what wasn’t: the flare of his shoulders, the curve of his waist, the scars on his skin … her gaze dipped lower …
He laughed, a low, dark rasp. “It’s a little unfair,” he said, breathlessly, “that you can tell how much I want this just by looking at me and I can’t tell the same thing about you.”
She shifted under him. Their bodies scraped together and his pulse jumped, his hands digging into the sand on either side of her. “Look at me,” she said.
His eyes had been half-lidded; he opened them wide now, and stared at her. There was hunger in his, a hot devouring hunger that would have frightened her if it had been anyone else but Jace. But it was Jace, and she trusted him. “Look at me,” she said, and his eyes raked her, adoring, devouring, swallowing, and her body felt as if burning liquid were surging through it everywhere his gaze touched. He dragged his eyes back up to her face: they fixed on her mouth. “I do want you,” she said. “I always have.” She kissed him, slow and hard. “I want to, if you do.”
