I don't really post my art here but I do consider myself an artist and I could really use tips on drawing backgrounds and it would mean the world to me if you'd give them since your backgrounds are just muah muah ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

can i just start off by saying this is one of the best compliments - i’ve struggled for the longest time with backgrounds and often try to avoid them! it’s only more recently i’ve started experimenting and adding more backgrounds to my work so the fact you’ve noticed my backgrounds means so much!

i guess my tips are PRACTISE, take it slow, adding little bits at a time to pieces in the back. i love adding textures and colours to the background - it doesn’t necessarily have to be a scenic background to look good!🫶
