“So what if I didn’t get into UA?! That doesn’t mean we have to break-up!” Lip trembling, Katsuki pulls away from your grasp as teary blobs cascade down your red splotchy cheeks.

“You don’t get it. If that quirk-less loser Deku got in, then you should’ve too. You must be incredibly pathetic not to get in. I can’t have a girlfriend holding me back from my goals.” A sob escapes your lips as his ferocious words slam deep daggers into your heart.

“How can you say that?! We’ve been together for years and now-“

“And now I have finally opened my eyes to see you for who you truely were. A pathetic looser who’s holding me back. You’ve been an anchor in my life for long enough.” Overwhelmed with the Katsuki’s brutal words your tears turn off, you look blankly into his face. The face of the boy you had once gone, now scowling at you as if you were a nuisance. As if you were just some stranger causing irritation and ruining his day.

This wasn’t your Katsuki, this was a beastly teenage boy who had no love left for you. After all the time and effort spent in maintaining a relationship with this egotistical fool. But now that you think of it… why did you love Katsuki? Long ago were the days when he was kind, long were the days that he ensured your happiness came first. When was the last time he took you on a date? When did he last make you smile? When was the last time you smiled?

Sudden relief washes over you at the realisation that you were no longer bound to his mood-swings. His overbearing jealously that ruined your plans. His controlling nature dominating what you wore and who you talked to.

You can start a new, High School was just around the corner.

There was no need to waste your time any further.

There was no need to waste another breath explaining yourself.

You looked upon Katsuki’s emotionaless face, there was no need to waste another wasted moment with him.

“Y/n!” A voice calls, looking over your shoulder you see Midoriya holding a beer in one hand and waving ecstatically with the other.

“No fricking way! Your in charge of the tongs- I’ll be back.” You pass your friend the tongs to continue flipping the thin meat whilst you rush over to greet your old classmate.

“Izu! It’s good to see you!” You pull him into a bear hug which he gingerly returns.

“This is amazing! Look Kacchan- it’s Y/n!” You look to the person sitting across from Midoriya to see non-other than Katsuki Bakugo staring at you with his mouth open. You give a small wave from where you stood, knowing that he was never one for mushy greetings.

“Wow- I’d never thought that I’d see Suki drinking beer and eating barbecue with Izu.” Your signature grin spreading across your face. Midoriya pulls a chair out for you to sit.

“Since when did you call the nerd Izu?” Lips curl at the pathetic nickname given to his rival. His stomach turns seeing you look off the the side the way you did when you wanted to avoid a question. Irritation bubbles in his stomach as Midoriya changes the subject quickly.

“So what’s happening with you?!” His excitement was always infectious, it was a quality you had always admired.

“I had a lay-over in Japan, so I thought I’d catch up with some old friends, but I’m heading back to Australia for a bit. I have a new office opening in Sydney.” Midoriya hums excitedly grabbing your hand he gives it a light squeeze. Katsuki glares at your clenching palm.

“This is the 2nd agency you’ve opened right?! I’ve been following your accomplishments in the hero announcements!” Giggling, you shyly wave off Midoriyas’ kind words.

Katsuki hated this.

He hated how familiar you were both acting.

He hated how he didn’t know anything about you anymore and he hated that this damn nerd knew more about you.

He hated that you seem to be casting your full attention on the green grape across from him.

He hated how he was once your whole life and now is no longer privy to your life.

Katsuki had sworn that you were an anchor to his life. He discarded you thinking that you would hold him back, or drag him down.

Instead your travelling the world, building hero agencies and raking in millions in the process.

You achieved everything you’d hoped.

He achieved his goals- but at what cost?

You were Middle-Schoolers, you wouldn’t have lasted together anyway right?

“It was good to catch up with you both- but I can see my friends are needing help keeping up with the barbecue.” Katsuki gripped your wrist as you stood and blurted out a question that shocked your very ears.

“Do you ever miss me?” You shrug awkwardly, you churned words through your head to string together a kind sentence, but this is Katsuki, he appreciates bluntness.

“Romantically? I don’t. We were kids when we were together, I haven’t seen you since we were 15 years old. I honestly barely remember those times.” Your departure left Katsuki feeling cold.

You barely remember being with him? He remembered you vividly. He struggles to be with anyone else because of his stupidity, his ego ruined a good relationship.

That is a regret he’ll just have to live with.

💋How BNHA Couples Kiss💋

✧ Summary: Little head cannons about how I think MHA couples would kiss. Just some lemon and fluff with a few implied adult situations - so if you're uncomfy with that kind of thing, please beware! All characters in these situations are adults + Pro Heros.

🎇 💚 Bakugo x Midoriya

These guys are competitive AF, so their kisses usually start out super rough and untamed. As a couple, they have a lot of emotional unpacking to do together.

Izuku loves when Katchan gives him attention (since Katsuki is usually fairly aloof), so he always gets overenthusiastic at the start of a hot and heavy make out session.

Katsuki has a hard time dealing with feelings, so his approach to intimacy can often come off aggressive and even angry. He’s really frustrated that he has such a hard time being vulnerable! Luckily, Izuku is made of tough stuff and has no problem keeping up with Katsuki’s assertive pace.

After a few months together, Katsuki finally starts to get comfortable opening up about his feelings and his attraction to Izuku, and their make out sessions become lazier and a little sweeter.

Once Izuku realizes he doesn’t have anything to prove to his friend, they both become more comfortable around each other.

Katsuki finds he likes gentle affection – like being kissed on the cheek when he’s up late and bent low over his paperwork. Izuku comes to realize that he likes having his hair pulled during a passionate kiss.

They both work to find ways to settle into a comfortable, healthy relationship together.

⚡️🎶 Kaminari x Jiro

This pair is goofy and I love them so much. Denki likes to think he has rizz (he, in fact, has zero rizz) and brags to his friends that he’s an amazing kisser. He’s average at best, but Jiro can’t get enough of him – especially when he tries to act suave and lays it on thick. His attempt at being debonair makes her laugh in between kisses.

Some other fun things - Denki loves neck kisses. He goes crazy for them. As soon as Jiro starts moving her lips along his neck, he’s an absolute puddle.

Jiro on the other hand loves to have her ear lobes nibbled during a heated make out (it took a long time for Denki to gain her trust to do this!).

The two need to be careful to communicate consistently, as Denki has been known to accidentally activate his electrification while in the midst of intimate moments.

Denki thinks that Jiro is the hottest person in the entire universe, and he won’t shut up about it when he goes out with the boys. Bakugo is constantly yelling at him to shut the hell up and to have some respect for Jiro’s privacy. But Jiro secretly loves how much Kamanari talks about her when he’s among friends.

🃏💤 Ms.Joke x Eraserhead

Emi Fukukado and Shota Aizawa have a strong romantic chemistry between them. They initially started hooking up when they were interns at neighboring Hero agencies. They would sneak into each other’s hero agency offices after hours to share what they were learning from their various missions and to make out. After they graduated, they lost touch for a few years before rekindling their romance as teachers at a provisional licensing exam. They’re not an official thing. But also, yeah, they’re kind of a thing.

Shota would never admit this, but he’s truly a romantic. He likes to kiss slow and deep. He loves being held. After a long day of work there’s nothing he looks forward to more than meeting up with Emi for a drink and ending the night locked in her embrace.

Emi likes to kiss vivaciously. She has a strong, fiery spirit, and loves to apply it to quiet moments spent with Shota. When Shota truly lets his guard down, it’s easy to make him laugh (without using her quirk!). Emi feels extremely accomplished when she can crack a joke and make him smirk between kisses.

Their relationship is surprisingly easy, and when they are alone their bodies are drawn to each other. They both understand the unique challenges of being both pro hero and teacher. They care deeply about their work and value that their partner can fully appreciate the challenges of their daily lives.

😬❓ Sero x Anyone who will give him the time of day

Hanta Sero loves hookups. He thinks that if he met the right person, he’d finally be able to settle down and commit – but he doesn’t see that happening anytime soon. For now, he’s perfectly content with playing the field. He can always be found flirting at the back of crowded house parties, using the bumping bass as an excuse to lean in close to whisper conspiratorially with the most attractive person in the room.

When he kisses, he likes to tease. He keeps his lips just out of reach until his partner pouts and begs for his kiss. Once he gets warmed up, he loves to bite – a lower lip, shoulders, hips…he loves it all and he’s notorious for giving impressive hickies.

Sero is a sucker for muscles. He loves to run his hands along a partner’s toned body as he leans in for a searing kiss.

Despite his tenure as a player, he secretly wants something soft, romantic and sweet. He’s hoping desperately to find it soon.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE VOLUME?

BATTLE TRIAL ARC (Chap 7-11): Once the students are at ground Beta...

...All Might explains the students they’ll be split in teams of two, and face each other in two-on-two indoor battle, one team playing the Hero role and the other playing the Villain role. Todoroki Shōto assists to the battle between Bakugō Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku, even commenting it.

Later Shōto, who is in Team B and paired up with Shōji Mezō...

...play the role of the Heroes against Team I formed by Ojiro Mashirao and Hagakure Tōru. Shōji locates where the Villain are then Shōto sends him outside and frozes the entire building so that neither Ojiro nor Hagakure can move or they will have to rip the soles of their feet from ice.

'Sotodetero abunēkara. Mukō wa bōeisen no tsumoridarouga. Ore ni wa kankeinai' 「外出てろ危ねえから。向こうは防衛戦のつもりだろうが。俺には関係ない。」 "Get out, it's dangerous. The other side is probably trying to play defense. It doesn't matter to me."

'.........!' 「.........!」 "...!"

'Ugoite mo īkedo ashi no kawa hagare Chiya manzoku ni tatakaenē zo' 「動いてもいいけど足の皮剥がれちや満足に戦えねえぞ」 "You can move, but you won't be able to fight satisfactorily if the skin on your legs peels off."

The Villain team loses and Shōto warms up the place again.

'Warukattana.' 「悪かったな」 "Sorry."

'Netsu...!' 「熱...!」 "Heat...!"

'LEVEL ga chigai sugita.' 「レベルが違いすぎた」 "The level was too different."

A box informs us Shōto is the Number 2 recommended first-year and his Quirk is "Half-cold, half-hot" (半冷半燃 'Hanrei Hannen'), which allows Shōto to freeze with his right side and burn with his left.

'Suisen nyūgakusha 2! Todoroki Shōto Kosei: Hanrei hannen! Migi de kōrashi hidari de moyasu! Hani mo ondo mo michisū! ! Bakemono ka yo!!'

"Recommended admission student 2! Todoroki Shouto Quirk: Half-cold, half-hot! Freeze with the right and burn with the left! The range and temperature are unknown! ! Is it a monster? !"

Bakugō Katsuki will be impressed by his performance, saying he believed he couldn’t have beaten him.

PROFILE: Todoroki Shōto’s profile is placed after chap 11.

In it, in addition to his birthday (11 January) we learn his height is 175cm and that his favorite thing are "Soba noodles (the kind that aren’t hot)" (そば（溫かくないやつ）'Soba (atatakaku nai yatsu').

It also confirms that, same as Yaoyorozu, he got in U.A. on special recommendation and not through the exam like the other 18 students.

U.S.J. ARC (Chap 12-21): Todoroki Shōto takes part to the president’s election that takes place on the day after.

He’s one of the four students for which we can’t see how many votes they got, the others being Īda Tenya (who was later told receiving 0 votes), Uraraka Ochako and Hagakure Tōru.

As we know from the election that 3 people didn’t vote for themselves, two of them being Īda andUraraka who voted from Midoriya, this would leave either him or Hagakure being the one who voted for Yaoyorozu (it’ll be later confirmed it was him).

On Wednesday the class is told they’ll have resque training and ride on a bus on the training location, the "unforeseen simulation joint" (ウソの災害や事故ルーム 'Uso no Saigai ya Jiko ROOM', lit. "Unbelieveable Disasters Room"). Todoroki Shōto, seated alone behind Bakugō Katsuki and Jirō Kyōka, seems asleep during the ride (his eyes are closed).

As they sleep Asui Tsuyu praises Todoroki to Bakugō.

'Hadede tsuyoettsutta yappa Todoroki to Bakugō da na' 「派手で強えっつったやっぱ轟と爆豪だな」 "Flashy and strong, it's definitely Todoroki and Bakugō."

He takes part to Thirteen’s explanation about what the training will be about but, before the training can start, Villains lead by Shigaraki Tomura appear.

Shōto analyzes the situation. He wonders if the Villains are only where they are or also at the main building and figures if the sensors detecting intruders aren’t working it could be due to one of the Villains’ Quirk. Noticing how they picked up a place far from the rest of the school and with fewer people, he figures they’re probably smarter than they seem and should have an objective since this was a well-coordinated sneak attack.

'Arawareta no wa koko dake ka, gakkō zentai ka... nanni seyo SENSOR ga hannōshi nē nara, mukō ni sō iu koto dekiru “kosei (read: yatsu)” ga irutte kotoda na. Kōsha to hanareta kakuri kūkan soko ni shōninzū (read: CLASS) ga hairu jikanwari... BAKA da ga AHO janē kore wa nanrakano mokuteki ga atte, yōi shūtō ni kakusaku sa reta kishūda.' 「現れたのはここだけか、学校全体か・・・何にせよセンサーが反応しねぇなら、向こうにそういうこと出来る“個性(ヤツ)”がいるってことだな。校舎と離れた隔離空間　そこに少人数(クラス)が入る時間割・・・バカだがアホじゃねぇ　これは　何らかの目的があって、用意周到に画策された奇襲だ。」 “Did they only appear here, or in the whole school? In any case, if the sensor doesn't respond, then there's a 'Quirk (read: guy)' on the other side that can do that. It's an isolated space separate from the school building. They entered when on the timetable there was a small number of people (read: a class)...Those stupid, aren't stupid. This is a carefully planned surprise attack with some kind of purpose."

Kurogiri warps the students in different locations.

Shōto ends alone in the "Landslide Zone" (土砂ゾーン 'Dosha ZONE')...

...along with a bunch of Villains and, the second he’s warped there, he uses his ice Quirk to freeze all the Villains with him (8 in the anime, though in the anime another will pop up).

’Kodomo hitori ni nasa ke nē na. Shikkari shiro yo, otona daro’ 「子ども一人になさけねぇな。しっかりしろよ大人だろ」 ”You lost to a single child, huh. Come on, you're adults.”

Shōto starts by mocking the Villains' strategy...

'Chirashite korosu... ka. Ichiya warui ga anta-ra dō mitemo '"kosei” o moteamashita yakara' ijō ni wa miuke rarenē yo’ 『散らして殺す・・・か言っちや悪いがあんたらどう見ても「”個性”を持て余した輩」以上には見受けられねぇよ』 "Scatter and kill, huh? I'm sorry to say this, but no matter how you look at it, I don't see you as anything more than 'people with too much 'Quirk'.'”

...and he has figured even though at first the Villains seemed to be elite, actually only four or five of them would be really dangerous and they’re merely thinking with their high numbers they can overwhelm All Might and kill him. Shōto then sits down and warns the Villains their skin risks on rotting away due to frostbites but he doesn’t want to let this happen as he’s going to be a Hero so he wants them to tell him their plan. In the anime he’s even scarier, threatening to freeze them further.

'(FUTA o akete mirya seito-tachi-yō (read: ore-tachi yō) no KOMA… CHINPIRA no yose atsume janē ka… mita kagiri ja hontō ni abuna-sōna ningen wa… 4 ~ 5 nin hododatta… to suruto)’ （フタを開けて見りゃ生徒達用(俺たちよう)のコマ…チンピラの寄せ集めじゃねぇか…見た限りじゃ本当に危なそうな人間は…4~5人程だった…とすると) ”(When I opened the lid, I saw the pawns for the students (us)... are a bunch of thugs... there were only about 4 or 5 people who looked really dangerous...)”

`Nā. Kono mamaji ya anta-ra jiwajiwato karada ga eshishiteku wakena nda ga… ore mo HERO shibō sonna hidē koto wa narubeku saketai…' 「なあ。このままじゃあんたらじわじわと身体が壊死してくわけなんだが…俺もヒーロー志望そんな酷え事はなるべく避けたい…」 ”Hey. If it keeps going like this, your body will slowly die of necrosis...I want to be a hero too, and I want to avoid such terrible things as much as possible..."

’(Ore ga tsugini torubeki kōdō ha…)’ （俺が次にとるべき行動はーーー…） ”(What should I do next is...)”

'Ano ALL MIGHT o yareruttsū konkyo… Saku wa nanda?’ 「あのオールマイトを殺れるっつう根拠・・・策はなんだ？ ”"What's the basis for killing All Might... What's the plan?”

MORE ABOUT THIS ARC IN THE NEXT VOLUME

While the Battle Trial arc works as introduction for Shōto, giving us basic into like his Quirk’s name or how he got into U.A. because recommended, it also works to establish him as a powerful Quirk user, showing him to end his fight quickly and easily and going so far as to impress Bakugō, the following U.S.J arc works to set up how Shōto isn’t just all powerful Quirk and no brain but can also analyze things. However, even though he’s not as aggressive and passionate as Bakugō, he shows a rude and confident streak and he’s fundamentally pretty cold when he blackmails the Villains into telling him their plan.

Todoroki Shōto is shown mostly in his first Hero costume, though we get a glimpse of him in his school uniform. His profile shows him in everyday clothes.

Deku wakes up doing his normal routine when finally looks at his phone and sees today is his birthday. He gets real excited as he puts a tie on that kacchan gave to him back in middle school to wear on his birthday.

8:00 A.M. he arrives to class 1-A but what he expected…. didn’t happen. He walked in everyone acted like it was an ordinary day.

“Oh hey Mido-Bro nice tie”Kirishima complimented. “Oh uh thanks” Deku replied not really expecting “THAT”.

“Good morning Midoriya nice tie” Shinsou smirked as he walked to his homeroom.

‘Okayyyyy something is definitely going on don’t know what but it’s something’. Deku walked over to Kacchan which as usual having his feet propped up on his desk “What do you want Nerd” he looked up from his phone.

Deku said nothing as he sat down infront of him leaving him confused as ever. Todoroki then walked up to him. “Hey Midoriya I want to— “YES… yes I meant justtellmee” Deku excitedly interrupted Todoroki.

“Have you gotten a spare pencil” Todoroki asked in a weird accent. “Todoroki that sentence didn’t even make sense but yes I do”Deku sighed had he handed him a pencil.

“Oh I was speaking like how Hamilton speaks Thankyou though also nice tie I like it” Todoroki bluntly replied before heading back to his desk.

“Izuku I like your tie it looks nice” Aizawa complimented before falling asleep on the floor “Thankyou Mr. Aizawa” ‘THE TEACHERS ARE ON IT TOO WOW so mean😒’

3:10 P.M. He went through the ENTIRE school day without receiving a single birthday wish BUT he kept in mind that this was some stupid little prank that his classmate were pulling on him.

After showering he plopped down onto his bed an— *bzzt* “Come down stairs Nerd” is what he received from kacchan before groaning and heading downstairs noticing that the light were off in the hallways and he assumed that the elevator wasn’t working so he took the stairs clutching onto the railing for dear life.

“Hey kacchan im downstairs I got your message it’s really dark I can’t tell if that’s you on the couch or not” Deku babbled as he slowly inched his way to the couch before two big hands wrapped around his torso.

“WOAH— WHAT THE ACTUAL FU—“

“Heh happy birthday Izuku” bakugou smiled as he turned off the lights and closed his door.
