i ended up in a relationship with michael i think? i remember how he looked surprisingly vividly. defined cheekbones, bright blue eyes, curly straw blonde hair down past his shoulders.

as much as you try taking yourself seriously, always looking for answers to questions you will never truly stop having and putting up fronts, you are the same scared little kids inside
you were never properly taught how to grow away from that defense mechanism so you use your intelligence like a shield and employ logic and reasoning and skepticism to build a wall around your emotions and pretend hard enough that that is what adulthood is all about
until something shatters it all at once and you start falling apart, just barely held together by the people that love you until you recover enough just to pull out the fucking bricks and start over again
close all those damn tabs, and get some sleep for god's sake. take a day off, you deserve it!
