- throughout the day he'll leave small notes and trinkets around the hotel room and during breakfast, lunch or dinner like small notes with praise, compliments or dirty pick up lines to make you laugh.

- he'll also leave small gifts, like rings or necklaces and figures that reminded him of you when he went out with you to go shopping.

- when your out dancing some guys stare or try to flirt with you, and satoru will show up in his sexy ass clothes (some shorts and t shirt that's half open) with a drink in his hand and tell the guy off, saying that she's already taken.

- once a guy hit on you during vacation at the beach, and satoru came up and said that he was your husband and wrapped his hand around your waist

- ofc he was a sorcerer so he could've had to leave the vacation any day to go on a mission that was important, so one day he suddenly had to leave to go on a dangerous mission to help his students. He apologized so much, and made sure he would come back right when he was done, and even paid for one more week because he had to leave for 2-3 days.

- you were extremely sad, but understanding. He left for a few days and you were by yourself, he left you his credit card and the driver.

-he would text you whenever he could updating you on the situation and sending pictures

- when he finally came back, he saw you sitting in your room all alone and sad.

- he asked you why you were so sad, and you told him you started to miss him so much and didn't feel like having fun without him, because he was also your boyfriend and best friend.

HI RAXZ IT TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED AS IT'S BEEN A WEEK BUT!!! DURING ALL THAT I DIDN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT YOUR FIC/S It's just one of those pieces of fanwork that leaves so much of an impression on someone, that it just ends up sticking and changing what you initially thought of a character, because of how well done the things most would just move aside or chalk up for simple reasons. you seem to be the only person who really does get Chara like no other, and I hope it's not strange to say you write them almost as if you know them or you are them that I'm sorta afraid nothing else will live up to how you written them and asriel in ur fan fic LOL but no matter... i will prevail. I love how you were able to portray charas self hate and self harm, i love how you didn't hold back on the ugly side of it and how far and disturbing it can be especially for someone as young as chara. There's just something so realistic about it that don't see alot anywhere else. 

I also like how you made asriel be childish, childish in a way a kid can be bratty or selfish(?) in the first half, that might not be a good descriptor but my puter is lagging from the many many words I've written for this ask so I'm making do </3 the point is you really know how to write these kids. Also enjoy that the tone of each fic is starkly different from one another, asriels pov feels grounded in comparison to charas inner thoughts

FIORE!!! i have been waiting for this day.. thank you so much. ive had several people say that i really get chara including like, literal veteran chara fans. its very nice to hear, theyre pretty important to me as a character. which is rather funny because the only analysis ive ever actually written on them that wasnt fanfiction was an essay on how i think theyre kind of actually a little poorly written LOL. to understand someone you have to know their weakpoints i guess... even if on a meta level.

for my asriel interpretation i try to incorporate a lot of "flowey-isms" as i say. the way i see asriel is that he was always a bit of a bratty, selfish kid that struggled with low empathy. he chooses to do what he thinks is right because he knows its right and not because it provides him with positive feelings himself... i think thats even more admirable. as opposed to this is think chara is high empathy which is part of the reason they did what they did. asriel is just way more of a people person than chara and so comes off as more understanding, charas just naturally a bit off-putting no matter how hard they try not to be.

chara and asriel are quite different people so i tried to make that clear in how i write their perspectives. chara is kind of stuck in their own head and lives in a world with walls of misery and think prose. theyre very direct but also very metaphorical. its a weird combination but it gets easier to write when taking in account their canon dialogues (one day youll get a fic from me with a more light hearted tone where chara will get to make their dog puns and nerd jokes. maybe). this is also the reason i write them with a strange mix of first and second person. it just feels natural for our narrator.

asriel on the other hand is much much more of an emotional person and is much less formal in how he thinks. he has a lot more filler words and "i-think"s and "i-feel"s and such.

i figure ill write a bit on what inspired each fic.

for my chara fic, i actually started writing it while bored in class. it was inspired a narration line in one of the fights in undertale, the one i used for the summary. the main thing i wanted to play with was metaphors and metaphors upon metaphors. mainly related to charas self hatred though the lense of soil and dirt and flowers and gardens because of course.

for my asriel fic, the main thing i wanted to play with was, quite obviously, writing from asriels perspective. i had already written 2 fics from charas perpective (the 1st one isnt as good as the other two and was mostly written as a characterization and perspective test) so i figured it was time to give him a turn, especially since it we only realy got a peak and asriels personality through charas eyes and i wanted to show it off more. the other thing that the fic ended up centering on is something my friend said to me about how they felt my chara characterization was screaming to be understood under all the hurt. basically the thesis of this fic is "asriel did not fully get chara but he was also the closest anyone ever got by a long shot which counts for something".

first off i must put here as per the law i am not in fact armchair psychoanalysing mc youtubers grian and mister scott S. major this is me looking at the 3L series as is it were a performance and their actions in said series as characters and blah blah blah so on so forth this is Fanfiction and Shipping and woowoOOwoo We Are Being Sillyyy with a miku song.

i'm gonna infodump abt a bunch of stuff including some heavy topics like emotional abuse and dubcon (NOT in detail the song just has those vibes)

so uh if you're reading this for Some Reason know that 👍

ALRIGHT WITH THAT OUT OF THE WAY Vampire the song itself is (at least my reading of it) a song about a toxic relationship. The singer is very much not a Good Person and the main chorus is just them disregarding their partner's needs and pushing the relationship even further.

But the singer isn't completely irredeemably evil, since they really do love the person they're abusing (in a childish sense of the word love, anyway) and seem to be at least acutely aware of how they're not really a good person.

But of course, they "eh whatever" these self-reflections pretty fast cus they're having fun with the relationship. This specific set of translyrics reads to me like a bit of self-victimizing as well like "oh, I'm so tortured by feeling like a bad person because of the way I treat you. But I love you so you don't really have a choice but to forgive me."

Speaking of translyrics this is where Micchi's version comes in. While I ADORE Rachie and Anthong's version I do have some nitpicks..? And one of those that I am unreasonably pet peeved by is this right here.

In the original JP version, the lyric is simply kimi mo vampire, meaning simply You're (also) a Vampire. It's alot more obvious a change and hits harder imo than "My little Vampire" which still puts the singer in the position of power.

Micchi's version of the lyrics on the other hand stick a lot closer to the original

And I might just be imagining this but there seems to be a switch in the power dynamic in this version as well. The singer is now inviting their partner to be "rough" with them and the repeating mantra of "you're the ONLY ONE for me" sounds more desperate than anything else.

Micchi's lyrics in general are a bit more wet cat coded. I still prefer Rachie's as a whole but Micchi's singer definitely seems to be more regretful of what they've done and blame themselves for essentially turning their partner into a different, more hostile person. (aka turning them into a vampire lol)

In a lot of ways the vampire metaphor is really unsubtle. Bloodsucking parasite attaches themselves to someone and turns them into a bloodsucking parasite as well.

SO HOW THE FUCK DID I GET GRAIN AND SCOOTER FROM THIS WELL.....

When I think about 3L one of the main things that lights up the lightbulb in my mind is the parallels between all of the four "main" partnerships, with Renchantyn vs Desert Duo as the most obvious comparison point but I think they all mirror and subvert each other really well.

Grian/Scott are like birds of a feather to me in a similar sense that Scott/Cleo are, but while Scott and Cleo have this mutual understanding with each other with Grian it's a bit more complicated.

I CAN't. FOR THE LIFE OF ME. FIND IT AGAIN bUT there was a bit in Third Life when Scott said to Grian "and maybe once our husbands are dead we can be free" and Grian laughs and that basically inspired this Whole Thing 🙏🙏

In my own mind Grian and Scott are both somewhat.. manipulative? Might be a bit harsh of a word? But they definitely play to survive more than some of the other people stuck in there with them. (cleo too but she sucks at it and she can get her character analysis essay next week)

At least in my view, their partnerships with Jimmy and Scar respectively were born more out of a need for safety in numbers and to get someone to essentially keep them safe until they're no longer of use. Grian definitely felt bad about creeper-ing Scar in the first episode but I don't think he was quite expecting to spend the whole series in debt to him 😭😭

Scott (like the singer in the song oh my god) isn't really a monster so to speak, just someone who has a messed up view of love. Probably has some sort of tragic backstory that explains the way he is that we'll get to see in the anime adaptation idk. He does care for Jimmy but in like.. the way someone might care for and love a pet. You LOVE your dog to fucking death but you wouldn't like.. trust your dog with taxes or respect its autonomy.

also these lyrics are both hilarious to me considering the uh current brainrot.

Grian on the other hand probably Wants to be like Scott and be able to have someone wrapped around his fingers like that but he can't cus it's Scar not Jimmy and he's Grian and not Scott. I imagine he'd get tired of Scar's shenanigans when he's with him but as soon as he's left the room it's all why's it so quiet D: where's scar D:

I like to think that everytime he THINKS he has a handle on Scar finally and can actually stand a chance to survive this thing Scar does something completely unhinged off the wall and Grian's like WAIT WAIT WAIT NO

basically he gets way too attached and doesn't like it and to make it worse he has no idea wtf is going thru Scar's head👍

SO when they eventually team up I think Scott and Grian would have this little "wink wink nudge nudge they don't know" kinda thing going on.

and then in my little fanfiction world somewhere along the line Scott would end up sensing that Oh, We're actually not exactly the same.. interesting.. and kind of start looking at Grian with this sense of amusement/pity cus aww, look at you getting all attached to the person you were planning to betray, that's so cute and Grian would see the worst of himself reflected back to him via Scott. It ends up strengthening Desert Duo's relationship if anything else.

Of course then Jimmy dies and Scott's emotionally destroyed by it but he's still like.. skirting around it. I'd like to think he gaslights himself with any genuine Emotions he has cus like.. he knew this was coming, this is all according to plan, so why would he feel anything for him now that he's gone?

While Scott gets some time to come to terms with the fact that he actually cared about Jimmy too late for him to repair their relationship Grian and Scar end up punching eachother to death in a cactus ring. The End 👍

HEY HEY HI Ive been entranced with your animation of the death row animation meme!! how did you do that kind of animation in blender? is there a tutorial you found or something like that? I havent been able 2 find anything yet...

SO, the animation is done as a combination of both shapekeys and rigging! I won't go in depth with shortcut keys n shit as it would make this post ALOT longer so bare with me as I try not to sound like I lost my mind.

Much like how one would do a tween animation, I make each part of the character. Earlier work of this tech like death row, I spread it around on one file, but you can save each part separately.

The next part is that I cut out the peice from the empty space with the knife tool. While it may be easier to just save the limb as it is, I usually work with a 1920x1080 canvas for composition planning AND helps me make good topology for the limb if I need to bend it a certain way.

Here's a diagram of what I mean. Each face/polygon has 4 points so I work it out by making a tube first before adding additional cuts.

From there I'll use the sub devision modifier and Amp it up to like 2-3 depending on how much you want it to bend/deform. YOU MAY NEED TO ADD MORE LOOP CUTS as the modifier WILL deform the textures. You can adjust to whatever till the textures aren't deformed and it's dense enough to your desires :]

FROM THERE I have two shapekeys, one where it deform her enough to look to the left and one where she's looking up. I just used the sculpt tools to get the desired effect-- that's why it looks like it's done in 3d but isn't! I also have a bone that rigs part of the mesh to give her an additional bounce. From there you can aniamte the value of the shapekeys as well as the bones itself!

From there you just need to layer them as if they're paper and rig em up! You can learn rigging on your own as I am SHIT at explaining that process- but know you don't need alot of bones! The spaces i have between the layers are REAAAALLY close. Not close that its ALL flat but enough so that it doesn't distort the sizing on camera (though you can change the mode to not show perspective lol)

While I don't have a demonstration of the keys, I do have the BTS look of the animation to prove its all layers

You could easily do this shit with Adobe after effects but that shit is HEAVYY and if you have QuickTime, its easy to render out transparent videos with blender :3

I do wanna make a video abt this if I ever make another animation with these methods-- hope this helps!

You had been in the Overwatch complex in some sense alone for the past three days. Of course you weren’t really alone, you had many other members of the entire force also in the building with you, but the man you had the closest connection with wasn’t there. He was off on a mission- assigned to him and a few other select members of the force. Unfortunately you were not one included on that list. So, all you could do was wait for your beloved to return to you, hopefully unscathed. You were currently walking back from the canteen, a few brownies in one hand. You didn’t know what they put in those brownies, but damn were they good.  You turned down several corridors, chowing down on your little evening snack, heading towards the quarters that you and Jesse were recently given to share. 

It looked mostly like every other sleeping quarters in the complex- shared or otherwise- with monotonous grey walls and grey floors, though the pair of you were lucky enough to have a window that looked out over the training grounds of the complex. The room was also filled with stray belongings of yours and Jesse’s, some of you shoes, a couple of stray ponchos. It wasn’t messy, but at the same time it could be cleaner. Regardless of that, you still thought it was one of the most homely places you could be. You grabbed one of the discarded ponchos, not caring for it’s cleanliness, wrapping it around your shoulders to relax yourself, and to remind yourself of McCree’s embrace. It still smelt like him- slightly of cigar smoke, the whiskey that he always seemed to like and bang on about, and something woodier, which you assumed was the cologne he often wore. 

You were quite peaceful sitting there on the bed, your eyes wandering aimlessly over the buildings in the distance. You had just finished your brownies- unfortunately- and were starting to settle down to catch some rest, when you heard the door to your quarters slide open. You sat up again, looking curiously over to the source of the noise, to spot Jesse himself, the man you had missed the whole time of your separation, standing there and resting on the doorframe.  He looked up from under the brim of his hat, his eyes coming to rest on you as he gave you a tired smile, so you assumed his assignment had worn him out. “Hey, sugar.” He greeted, and though there was tiredness in his voice, there was something else there too, something that didn’t quite sound right. He seemed to notice your look of concern, and tried to silently wave it away, though when you didn’t look convinced he spoke.  “I’m fine, pumpkin, don’t you worry your pretty little head about it.” He tried to assure you as he stepped inside. 

His legs seemed to give out under him, and you immediately leapt from your bed to tend to him. “Jesse!” You exclaimed as you moved, he was already trying to push himself up with a quiet groan.  “No, no, sugarcube, you get yourself back into bed,” He told you, trying to refuse your help as you assisted him back to his feet. “You were about t’ get some sleep, I can tell...” He mumbled, though his protests became weaker and weaker as you slowly guided him towards the bed.  “That doesn’t matter, Jesse. Not when you’re like this...” You told him quietly, taking off his hat and placing it on the bedside table. He collapsed down onto the covers, another quiet groan escaping his lips as he rubbed a hand over his face. 

You gently pushed his hand to the side, pressing the back of your own hand to his forehead- the skin was almost scalding to the touch. “Jesse, you’re burning up..” You tell him, concern lacing your tone. “Get those clothes off, we can get you rested up.” Jesse gave a quiet chuckle at your words.  “Oh, I thought you were thinkin’ another route there sugar..” He mused, before coughing a little bit. You shake your head at his slight childishness.  “No, Jesse. That’s not what I mean, and I think you know that.” You tell him, starting to help him take his poncho off.  “Ah, pity..” He joked, trying to make you smile despite the clear worry in your features. His joking didn’t work very well, though a small part of you did appreciate the effort he was making, despite his rather ill demeanour. 

“McCree, what did you even do on that damn mission? You never get sick,” You muttered, using his last name to emphasise to him how seriously you were taking this situation.  “Well.. It was nothin’ really... We went to Volskaya to try and-” You cut him off with a look.  “You didn’t wrap up properly, did you?” You asked him quite sternly, and he smiled a little sheepishly.  “Well, I tried, sugar- but I got a little too hot before we left our outpost, and-” “For god’s sake, Jesse!” You sighed in exasperation. “I tell you every single time we head out there together, how come you never listen?” You asked him, clearly very unimpressed. “Why am I not surprised that you don’t take my advice, and the one time I’m not there to remind you about it you get sick...”  “I ain’t sick, pumpkin... Just a little under the weather.” Jesse denied with a shake of his head.  “That’s why you collapsed, is it, honey?” You reply sarcastically, carefully pushing him back so that he laid down. McCree sighed softly.  “I just don’t want you worryin’-”  “I always worry about you, Jesse. That’s my job.” You say to him, pressing a chaste kiss to his forehead. “You stay here for a moment, I’m going to go get you a washcloth in case you get a proper fever, alright? And do you want any food?” Jesse shook his head in response, before giving in to you, knowing full well that you would not give up trying to look after him, so he yielded. 

He sunk back into the bed, as you moved through to the bathroom, grabbing his washcloth for him, and a small bowl the pair of you kept there, filling it with cool, crisp water. You then moved through to the bedroom again, to see Jesse just about to fall into the clutches of slumber. He peered at you through half-closed eyes, giving you a tired smile. “You spoil me, sugar...” He whispered, starting to chuckle before it evolved into a round of coughs. You placed the bowl down quickly, helping him sit up a little bit. “Hold on, honey, I’ll get you some water, okay?” You said quietly, and he nodded silently. You quickly move back through to the bathroom again, grabbing the glass you usually used for rinsing your mouth out after brushing your teeth, filling it with cool water from the same tap. When you return Jesse had stopped coughing, but, still looked very tired, and rather pale. You move towards him, offering the drink which he happily took, bringing the water to his lips, having a few mouthfuls. 

He carefully put the glass on the bedside cabinet, and you pushed it further on to the surface, so that it didn’t fall off. He started to settle in again, and you got up to go and do a few chores, get a few things done whilst he slept, but a hand on your wrist kept you back. You look back in confusion, and there Jesse lay, giving you the most puppy-like eyes he could muster. “C’mon, sugar... Don’t go so soon.. Ain’t ya missed me?”  “Jesse, you are ill. One, I don’t want to get what you’ve clearly got, and two, things need to get done around here.”  “You can get ‘em done later.”  “Jesse-”  “No buts. You wanna look after me, right? Well, I’m asking for ya to stay. That’s how I want ya t’ look after me.” He told you firmly, and you chuckle softly.  “You’re as stubborn as a child, you know that, don’t you?”  “Yeah, but ya love me.” He chortled, pulling you back to him and onto the bed, his arms wrapping around you like you were some sort of beloved stuffed toy. He snuggled his face into the nape of your neck, a smile slowly slipping onto his face.  “Can I have some chocolate when I wake up?” He asks sweetly.  “Maybe, but don’t push your luck Jesse.”

that shoot out scene was fucking BRILLIANT. i just finished a romance novel that had an "action scene" in it that was.... disappointing. but then to turn around and see wade go absolutely feral on those boys??? oh man!! my favorite parts probably had to be shooting the dude through the bar (gross real life image GREAT movie image), the bit where theyre gonna send him down the river and he wakes up and kills the reat of em, and surprisingly the part where he kills weasel too. i thought that would make me sad bc ive always loved their relationships in other fics but here... it just felt right. like the image of an absolutely battered wade limping out of st margarets and climbing onto arthur, PILES of bodies behind him with no survivors?? incredible

and PYM my lovely cranky hank. i love cranky hank, thank you for giving him to me, i will never have enough. i can't wait to see what he has to say about wade coming to his doorstep in ch 5 lmao

okay okay onto my SECOND favorite part which is PETER my beloved. i love this pete. i mean... learning to become an escape artist because of his experiences?? sitting there and cataloguing the alphas with nothing more than a look???? and fucking reeling Francis IN and then casting him aside was some MASTER manipulation and i can't believe francis fucking fell for it, what a bitch 😂 also i loved pete covering up his tell!! thats so so clever, i love little details like that! oh and the way you didnt detail petes escape? you just cut to it through francis' pov kinda??? oh that was some good shit. ive said it before and i'll say it again: this verse, you've really honed in on this movie/camera aspect of writing and i LOVE it. i can physically SEE the jump shot from francis to where pete was tied, then the racing shot from francis howling to pete running away and then the zooming shot to the little town of hex on the horizon. its.so.good.

okay i think i'm done now 😂 i loved these two chapters (if you couldnt tell) and im falling in love with these two boys even though they arent spending any real time together which is a wild approach to a romance story but one im LOVING. i cant wait for chapter 5!! (thankfully i wont be able to read it out of order this time 😅)

I have definitely been disappointed by "Action Scenes" in romance movies and fics because alot of times it seems like the two tropes can't co exist without one being seen as "unnecessary" (usually the romance, let's be honest) and I am really trying to avoid that in this fic. Like Peter and Wade are both having an adventure that will eventually lead to them coming back together but I'm also trying to layer in that romance so when they finally see each other again it just clicks into place vs the typical movie scene where all the sudden one minute the two main characters are apparently into each other for no other reason than they happened to be sharing the same space.

So I wanted Wade's shoot out scene to be SO INTENSE but then in the middle of it, he's still "tell me where my Omega is" and even when he's half dead, he's still thinking about Pete. Okay and I'm so glad everyone has loved the shotgun through the bar thing. That's one of my favorite tropes in action movies, shooting someone through the wall, in fact my favorite one is in Mr. and Mrs. Smith where Angelina Jolie's character shoots through the wall and damn near kills Brad Pitt and then goes "still alive, baby?" idk why it's so damn funny but it always has me in stitches every time.

I almost didn't kill Weasel cos honestly the guy is a great character. Wholly chaotic and barely keeping it together but GREAT and usually in my fics he's a good guy. But for this one yeah, I wanted that "scorched earth" feel to Wade leaving St. Margaret's-- bodies and blood and gunpowder and the lone gunman riding away into the hills.

I know that this version of Peter is pretty wildly OOC but on the other hand... I feel like maybe he isn't. Everything I attribute to Peter in this AU- being able to size up a situation in a matter of minutes, always having an escape plan, stealthy skills that would help in a scary moment, being able to pretty much figure out how dangerous some one is or how easy they'll be to talk down-- I feel like Spidey!Peter has all the same skills. He might have superpowers but you still don't survive in NYC against honestly wackadoodle super villains without being super smart and being able to read people well and read them quickly. In this AU he got and uses those skills as a whore, but I feel like it's not that far off from how he has to exist IRL.

And YES I purposefully went with the cut scene to Peter's escape partly for the "movie" feel and partly because we'd just come off both a scene where we SAW Peter putting together the details of his escape (loosened knots, money, etc) and then a detail heavy scene with Wade so we didn't need to be bogged down in more.

Plus that parallel of Wade barely alive riding away and Peter literally riding for his life, both of them off into the darkness searching for each other but not quite finding each other... it's so good.

some of my safe drinks<3 also i round up to 5 cals for “0 cal” drinks to be “safe” fyi also this is just opinion, im not exactly a drink expert lol Diet Rootbeer- delicious, great if you have the taste of a child like me and love that extra sweet rootbeer taste. has a bit of a off taste, like its knockoff stuff, but overall good, prob not for everyone. technically 0 cals per serving but food labels do be tricky. for me 8/10 Diet Dr. Pepper- ok ok ik not everyone loves this one but if you like dr. pepper, its great. it has quite a similar flavor, but is very strong on the stomach in my experience. again 0 cals in a serving but ehh wHy nOt roUnD uP. i say 8/10 Diet sprite- very strong on my stomach, very fizzy. kinda reminds me a lil of mcdonalds sprite, but leaves a weird mouth feel. eh its alright but a little strong. 7/10 ig. Diet Monstor- very good, usually 10 cals per can, great strong flavors, a lil pricey ;-;, my faves are watermelon and the green one. VERY strong on your throat and stomach, also alot of caffeine! FOR EVERYTHING THAT IS GOOD IN THIS WORLD, never, EVER drink after purging or swallow it wrong. ive done both and i went into coughing fits and had so much pain in my throat. just be careful with these. love em tho 9/10 Sparkling Ice beverages-i get them in 16 packs, alot of great flavors, and no caffeine. not too strong, good for after a workout. my fave flavors are the mango one and the pineapple coconut one <3. quite cheap in bulk and good variety, 5 cals each, so uhhhhhh 7/10 Diet pepsi- good, quite basic tho. not very interesting, i usually get bored of them. hmm not much more to say, like a 6/10 Sparkling water- now listen closely. come veryyy close. sparkling water might be “healthier than diet beverages” and “isnt gonna drill a hole into my stomach” but who. cares. i dont give a damn abt my health and sparkling water just tastes so.... depressing. like if water had high expectations and failed. still bloats like soda, but with none of the flavor. 2/10 not my thing didnt get to all my safe drinks cause i got tired of typing, might do a part 2 idk

The trope Last Minute Hookup shouldn’t be used for LGBTQ+ relationships.

AND DEFENDING MY LAST POST ABOUT THIS.

I DO NOT hate any of these pairings. A good many of them could have been handled differently by the creators, writers, and networks. But this isnt me hating the relationships or characters or shows. Just going off about how they shouldnt have been tacked on at the end of their respective series. 

As of writing this all of these shows have ended their original runs. Except for Supernatural which is on its last few episodes. And Supergirl, which announced its coming to end with season 6.

LGBTQ characters and relationships aren’t as common in the media as straight-cis characters and relationships. Sure things are improving but a lot of networks and writers still don’t fully understand why representation is important why they can’t keep using the same throwaway tropes they’ve been using for the straight-cis relationships.

You could name any piece of media and find and name one character that isn’t LGBTQ+, but you can’t do this with LGBTQ+ characters. We haven’t gotten to the point where they are as common as non-LGBTQ characters.

I have a whole paper I wrote on why asexual representation is important to have in the media and the same logic applies to any part of the LGBTQ+ or anything that falls under minority.

Back to the topic on hand. The trope of “Last Minute Hookup.”

Its exactly what it sounds like. Characters get to together at the very end of the story. These characters could have a on and off again relationship, lots of ship teasing, the classic “Will They or Wont They?” trope. What makes it different for non-LGBT characters in relationships to do this, we know what these relationships look like. Not to say the that both Non and LGBT relationship cant have similar struggles, however members of the LGBTQ+ community know how hard it is to feel like your identity and self matters and is normal.

I know that the whole “will they, wont they” thing is done for drama and networks and showrunners think if they give the fans what they want that they’ll start losing viewers and they have nothing to look forward to. Which is true to some degree. But most of this comes from the writers not knowing how to fucking write relationships.

Let’s just focus on whats it like to be in a non-straight relationship.

Heres an example: you have an action series, with 2 male leads and halfway through the show, they get together. Cool. Now you have a Battle Couple.

By making LGBTQ relationships happen at the end of a series that’s already had plenty of other non-LGBTQ relationships happen before it, it makes it look like the people in charge don’t care for it or were afraid of backlash. But it’s the end of the series so its not like they can get the show cancelled or anything. (The only people who are going to lash out at LGBT couple or characters are homophobic people, we don’t want them around any way so just make stuff super gay, so they’ll leave)

This is especially a problem when the writer and network have spent the whole series queerbaiting the audience with these characters.

 Side note for anyone is doesn’t actually know what queerbaiting is:

It’s a marketing technique used in entertainment, which the writer or creators hint at but then don’t actually depict sex-same romance or LGBTQ representation. They do this to attract (bait) the LGBT/queer or straight ally audience into the show with the suggestion of representation but at the same time avoiding this as not alienate other audience members *cough* (homophobes) *cough*

The Legend of Korra is a great example of Last-Minute Hookup. Korra and Asami had VERY little ship teasing, and that was in the last 2 books/seasons. Any thing that was perceived as romantic came from the fans wearing shipping goggles. So to a lot of people just casually watching, yes this looked like it came out of nowhere. Nickelodeon had some serious balls to say how brave they were for putting 2 girls into a romantic relationship.

Theres a few problems with this.

A. It never actually aired on TV (to my knowledge). The last 2 seasons of Korra were put on Nicks website.

B. The confirmation that this Korrasami was canon had to come from the creators on twitter because of how unclear it was.

C. The show did the bare minimum when it came to hooking them up in the series. They walk off holding hands (very cute btw). They didn’t even get a kiss. Aang and Katara had a Last Minute Hookup at the end of ATLA after 3 seasons of ship tease and THEY GOT A KISS. Hell the original end of LoK*, has Korra and Mako kissing. *(the first season, they didn’t know they were getting more seasons at the time, no matter what you hear the writers say, they’re full of shit)

D. Anything continuation of Korra has come in the form of comics, which her and Asami are in a fairly well written relationship. Yes, they do kiss. Yes it would’ve been great to see this stuff happen in series.

A show that handles this a little bit better is Adventure Time. Not by much though. It implied several times that Princess Bubblegum and Marceline have history together and its shown more and more in its last few seasons that there is some ship tease happening. However its not until the finale where they kiss, and they are shown in the last minute of the show cuddling together in Marcy’s house. HBO has picked up Adventure Time and has a miniseries called Adventure Time: Distant Lands, where Bubblegum and Marceline’s past relationship is shown.  

I had brought up in my original post about being upset with networks making LGBTQ+ relationships canon in the last season/episode. I originally had Catradora tagged. While Catra and Adora have history together, they did not become official couple until the end of the series.

Yes, I was wrong about the network making things canon in the last episode as they’ve always had ship tease with each other, and it probably was the writers’ intent to put them together by the end. They do technically fall under the Last-Minute Hookup, however.

I wanna talk about Once Upon a Time really quick. Fans of the show were hoping and wishing for an LGBTQ couple for the show as a lot of characters, especially Regina and Emma, have alot Ho Yay moments. The showrunners weren’t going to put those two together, for whatever reasons they may have for that (im indifferent on all the shipping going on with this show). The showrunners thought to put two characters together, and hoo boy did it not make people happy. The characters they put together are Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and Ruby the red riding hood, which would be fine if they had properly been developed.

The entire episode they did this in was a mess. They stopped the current arc during the season 5 episode ‘Ruby Slippers,’ to go over the characters that haven’t been seen in years, Dorothy was introduced and last seen in season 3, and Ruby was introduced in season 1 and was last seen in season 5 before ‘Ruby Slippers’. The characters get together in the same episode the meet in and are never seen again. The characters barely interacted, barely got along, and showed little to no ship tease or interest in each other and BOOM they are in love and together aaaaaannnnndd they’re gone. Other than having One Million Moms, a Christian fundamentalist organization, protest against the show and want it taken off the air (yes this really happened). The fans weren’t please with this development of the characters either.  

(also Mulan was right there and already knew Ruby from a previous episode, and Mulan already is established to like girls as shown by her being in love with Aurora. Don’t know why the writers didn’t just put these 2 together but whatever I guess)

So they tried again in season 7 with MadArcher. The characters of Alice, a version of Alice in Wonderland from another realm (its complicated) and Robin, the daughter of Robin Hood and the Wicked Witch (it’s also complicated). And the writers did a lot better here. Both characters were allowed to have time together and have a history together too and it was done over the whole season. Not just one episode.

Now even though the writers decided to do something different with the last season and it could be detached from the previous 6 seasons, MadArcher is not really a Last Minute Hookup per say but still falls under my thing about it being the last season so who gives a fuck if One Million Moms gets mad us and tries to get us cancelled again.

 I would like to say I have never watched a single episode of Supernatural in my life. I may one day. But as of right now my knowledge of it is coming primary from what ive seen on tumblr. You know a great source for doing research and looking for reliable information among the piles of shitposting.

From what I know from fans, the writers of Supernatural have been queer baiting for years. I mean it’s the CW, I’m not that surprised. What also wouldn’t surprise me, that by the end of the series Castiel is back and he and Dean actually start and relationship or strongly hint at starting one. I actually fear for the writer lives if they threw out a confession scene after years of queerbaiting and potential ship tease (debatable) and they don’t put them together. Fans are going to be angrier than they probably ever have been with this show and the showrunners and writers really would be known for queer baiting.

From what I know about how previous shows have done and if anyone that has ever worked on this show wants to continue living, Castiel will be back from Super Hell (is that what yall are calling it?) and he will get together with Dean. And they will fall under the Last-Minute Hookup trope and my networks make LGBTQ relationships canon last season.

 One last show I want to talk about is Supergirl, which in has been recently announced that the 6th season will be the last. The show started on CBS but moved to the CW after the end of season 1. So more CW bullshit. There is no confirmation about whether the CW or any of the Supergirl writers are planning to do this, its all speculation. Supergirl is more LGBTQ friendly than some other shows on the Network. One of the main characters came out a few years ago and had a girlfriend a season and has had plenty of hookups with other ladies around the Arrowverse. They even introduced a trans-woman superhero in the form of Dreamer.

Let’s talk SuperCorp. Lena Luthor was introduced in the 2nd season and has been a major character in Kara’s life ever since her introduction. Even if she isn’t involved in the plot, Kara always goes to her to talk and check in on her and worry about her. They are best friends. Since the 2 have met, there has been plenty of Les Yay going on. The writers seem to be aware of the fans wanting SuperCorp to be canon and they keep throwing in moments like Kara and Lena struggling together or Kara carrying Lena bridal style.

Why I bring this up after the announcement of Supergirl’s final season to start next year. We may get SuperCorp. Kara has a relationship with William in the show and not a single person likes this relationship. The writers may scrap it and get put Kara and Lena together for the final season. This is a big maybe though. The Supergirl writers and crew get called out a lot for queerbaiting.

now, i have deleted ALOT of posts both my own art, art that includes him and another other post that has his face in it. theyre all gone, just like alot of the videos and merch from him will be gone too. and ive said it on twitter and ill say it on here if you so much as repost anyones art that has been deleted if it had him in it, mine or others, i will personally hunt you down and break your knees. respect me and the other artists who have deleted our work. it was already painful enough i do not EVER want to see it reposted or reblogged again. there are still a few other posts up that have been altered to wipe his face out but im honestly thinking of just getting rid of all of em. 

also i wanna say i am incredibly heartbroken and angry from what he has done. my heart hurts for the victims, his family and for achievement hunter. 

to the victims, I hear you and i see you and i believe you. you all are brave for speaking out about that monster. 

To AH god it breaks my heart seeing just how broken jack and michael looked on stream today, and i cannot imagine how the others are feeling/felt throughout this last week. 

the worst part too, is knowing just how big a part AH played into my life. I’ve been watching their content since i was in highschool, 8 years man, so not only hurts seeing the whole crew this distraught, but also feels like a huge chunk of my life and work has been sullied on some monster. so this sucks and im angry. angry for AH, angry for the community and especially angry for the victims.

after the stream, while this had been the plan, just seeing how upset jack and michael were broke the camel on the back for me so i immediately did the most therapeutic thing ever. I burned all the art i had that had ryan in it, well aside from posters and what not but any art i made/art from friends who also said it was ok to burn their art, just gone. as well also ripped up all the shirts, felt great.

Bump and Dumps - Part 8

Her and Harry were back to pre-baby them, they were cuddling on the sofa watching friends and sharing a bed. Harry had even got up once with her when she was sick and had given her water and rubbed her back. They had both avoided discussing the baby as it was a conversation of conflict but they had a good night together, they had discussed him promo plan and she had been filled in on all things Eroda. They’re week had been great Harry had worked here and there but they had relaxed, he had taken her to an OBGYN who had offered her given her some medicine to help with the sickness it had helped a bit but she still couldn’t stomach a lot of food so Harry had been giving her quavers, grapes and ginger biscuits all week.  She was now going back to the UK and Harry was coming to but she was worried that now they were out of their bubble everything would go tits up again.

Harry had slept the entire flight home as Hattie started reading up on the cases she would be taking over, she began emailing her new assistant asking her to set meetings up with her clients.

Aj: So I hear you are already bossing poor Katie around.

Hattie: Just want to do a good job, thank you again this means a lot to me.

Aj: I was hoping we could maybe go out for dinner after work on Monday celebrate your first day, sadly we can’t have champagne :(

Hattie: I want a baby booze up not a shower after it is out I need a drink.  I planned to go out with Em for food but you’re more than welcome to join? Get the gang together

Aj: She hasn’t spoken to me since we quote “You have made me need to burn my eyes out.

Hattie: Harry and his sister are coming to I think, come on please come I need to thank you

Aj: So you guys worked it out

Hattie could sense his bitterness she did like Aj alot and if not for Harry maybe they could stand a chance. However, she looked over to the curly haired boy who was fast asleep and realised no one could ever compare to him.

Hattie: Best co-parents yet is the plan

Hattie turned of her phone and took a nap for the rest of the flight. When they arrived back at the house, they both went to bed immediately and collapsed.

“Hattie, you awake?” Harry whispered as he rubbed gentle circles into her arm.

“Yeah just about.”

“Mitch, text me about the tour and your due date.”

She turned facing him wishing she had been the one to broach this subject.

“The tour was planned first I don’t mind, I get it.”

“No. I won’t miss the birth and the first few months of our baby’s life. Jeff is rearranging it so I will be gone for longer but it will be more packed so tour will finish mid June.”

“Thank you.” She gently kissed his lips and things quickly progressed.

The next few weeks went by like clockwork she started her new job and she really enjoyed it, especially working with Aj they were growing really close. They had moved her celebration dinner till after the album release as Harry had been away a lot recently for promo. Which she didn’t mind at all. Although, she was currently waiting for her check up with the doctor as she was still not gaining weight even though there was now a small bump and she was out the first trimester her morning sickness had been getting worse and she had been getting sicker. She had avoided letting Harry know the extent of her sickness as he was away. She had asked Gemma to come with her as Emily was on holiday and Gemma was her closest friend after.

“Thank you for taking me Gem.”

“Hey no big deal, I am hoping she does an ultrasound so I can see and hear my little nephew.”

“I hope she does too, I haven’t seen spud since the first time.”

“Hello, Harriet I have here that you have bad morning sickness and the tablets aren’t helping.”

“Yeah, I got put on them and if anything it is worse. I can’t really eat.”

“Ok, I believe you are experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum which means extreme morning sickness. My main worry is your weight you are losing weight you have lost 7 pounds which is what I would expect your gain to be at  so I want to do an ultrasound and blood work.”

She nodded looking at Gemma who was stroking her shoulder, she didn’t think anything of the sickness she thought it was normal.

“So if you look here the baby is slightly smaller than we would like. It isn’t a concern right now but I think the best thing to do is admit you too hospital give you fluids try and find a nutrientinal plan as my last resort will be a feeding tube but that is only if situations get worse. Sometimes it gets better as the pregnancy goes on but normally it starts to improve if it is going to by now.”

“Can it be dangerous?” Gemma asked while trying to reassure Hattie, she was glad she opted for Gemma to come.

“It can be but it isn’t that bad at the moment the baby is only a little bit small and hopefully in a day or two we can get both Hattie and the baby feeling better.”

The doctor called the ward and made sure there was a bed available and Hattie and Gemma drove over Hattie felt really bad as she was Gemma ride so she was stranded with her until Micheal finished work. She was quickly admitted and a IV was inserted she had texted Aj to explain that she would be working from home all week as she had been admitted,

“So are you going to call Harry?”

“I am worried you know what he is liked and with the album and everything he will miss promo.”

“Hattie, please call him he would want to miss it. Trust me I know he can be selfish sometimes but he loves this baby.”

“I will call him now.”

She called his number hoping he would go to voicemail.

“Hello Harry’s phone.” Hattie recognised it as Alexa.

“Um hi Alexa can you pass me to Harry it is Hattie.”

“He is filming at the moment can I take a message or get him to call you back.”

“Can you tell him to call me back.” She quickly hung up.

“I left him a message.”

“Ok good, do you want me to stay?”

“No please go. I will be fine.”

“OK but I will come back tomorrow and call me if anything changes.”

Hattie was dying of boredom she had replied to all her emails and done some work on her cases she was watching some netflix. She had been sick quite a bit since getting to the hospital. She had befriended the girl in the bed next to her who was put on bed rest she only had a few more weeks left and already had two children at home she had been helpful giving her advice on what she should get and good brands. Harry still hadn’t called and part of her was relieved but the other part of her needed him. She decided she needed someone so she called her dad.

“Dad, I need you I am scared.”

Her dad had reassured her and he turned up just before visiting hours ended he sat with her and told her it was ok. He spoke to the nurses and asked for a doctor to check her she was glad he was here.

“So where is Harry?”

“He is busy his assistant said she’d get him to call back.”

“Harriet he should be here, call him back or I will.”

She knew her dad knew she should had pushed to speak to him.

“Hello.”

“Hi Alexa it’s Hattie please can you pass Harry on.”

“Sorry Hattie he is still busy.”

“Alexa i’m in hospital I need to talk to him now if not him can I speak to Jeff?” She heard the whispering.

“Hey Hattie Harry is busy at the moment can he call you back in a hour?”

“Jeff, I am in the hospital.”

“Is the baby ok?”

“Please can I talk to Harry I am scared and the doctors are worried.” She began to cry her dad quickly hugged her she hadn’t realised how scared she was.

“Hattie are you ok?” She was happy to finally here that low voice.

“Harry, I am in hospital the baby is small… it … is ..cos...of…..the..sickness.” She was trying to calm herself her dad took the phone from her and she nestled into him she could hear him filling Harry in on the information and then he handed the phone back to her.

“Hello.”

“Hatters, I will come back now ok you just need to stay calm and think positively ok. It isn’t your fault and the IV will help ok. I think you should go to a private hospital just so I can know exactly what is going on I will talk to Alexa and get her to sort it. I will be back tomorrow morning.”

Hattie got moved to a small hospital closer to her parents house within a hour of talking to Harry her dad drove her there and her mum met her there as well. She was glad to be in a private place as her parents could stay with her and her mum had brought her scones which had apparently helped her through her pregnancy. Hattie was still being sick a lot but the doctor was happier as she was no longer dehydrated and the baby heartbeat had gotten stronger.

“Are you ok?” Harry ran into the room quickly looking at her.

“I feel better I am no longer dehydrated so that's good.”

“You look even smaller than the last time I saw you.”

“They have a nutritionist coming this afternoon and if I manage to keep down a meal they said I can go home but have to have weekly appointments.”

Harry hugged my mum and dad who said their goodbyes and left to leave them alone making Harry promise to look after their daughter and send updates.

“I am sorry bubba I should have been here.” He climber on her bed and kept kissing her.

“I smell you are going to smell if you’re near me.”

“Well then we will smell together.”
