Hello everyone! Thank you all for almost 50 followers!! :3c All activity has been on my main account @morguemaw, so if you want more direct content of Lusttale shoot me a ask about it!!!!

So, abit has changed over the few months and i have a update, coupled with info for all you new guys who found this blog!

1) AU is decided to be 16+. Its suggestive, no NSFW will be posted/shown as i want whatever content i MYSELF to post to be accessible to everyone within a comfortable range! There will be light sexual jokes, however if at any point it reaches too much, please tell me! I know the AU itself should obviously be considered a Explicit Rated AU, however i know there are people who enjoy the AU without the sexual aspects.

2) This AU is not a fan AU OR variant: This AU was made with the plan to 100% rewrite Underlust, i will explain below!!

Why the rewrite?:

I've loved Underlust since i joined the Undertale community, and others have too! However, the owner WAS involved and DID create content involving fontcest, a nazi Chara, Frans content, and was friends/mutuals with others who also created gross content like BlogTheGreatRogue and Lizherubones. This disgusted me and made alot of others feel the same. The AU was left off on a confusing as shit note, from the disgusting writing of Lust MTT to the messed up relationship between the brothers. I want to erase this the best i can. Alot of characters have also 0 content (Such as Lust Alphys) and although i will mostly focus on Sans/Papyrus/Frisk still, i WILL be creating content for mostly every character to again ensure the AU is fully fleshed out for as much enjoyment as possible.

Wheres the creator/owner?:

Awhile back, the owner, NSFWshamecave/Niel, left the internet and the AU for personal and mental reasons and bounced between owning and not owning the Au. They have since been MIA(Missing In Action) from the internet and AU, i doubt they will return or be involved at this point. The AU is considered fandom owned, which if you prefer that i support it, but do not interact with my blog as im basing everything on a rewritten POV with the entire intent to overhaul the AU without being too different or too similar.

What about the Underlust domain name?:

Lusttale CAN be called Underlust, BUT i prefer Lusttale to separate it as its alot easier, HOWEVER i have no issue with it being called Underlust! (Just still please credit/tag me, id love to see any content!)

What about fan AUs or others who make their own Variants?:

Keep going! I support these ten fold. Ive seen so many creative AUs overall, including a recent aroace one that has such adorable designs and is why i want to refresh myself and explain this blog to anyone new who might mistake me as a fan account. If you want to consider your variant a version/variant of my Rewritten AU, please tag me! Id love to see your AUs, your Varaints, EVERYTHING!!

HOWEVER. I do NOT support a single soul who ever uses my AU for Frans, Fontcest, or akin. Dont tag me OR interact with me, its public knowledge how the community feels about those, and im one of the many who don't like that content and wish for my AU to not be used in it. Self inserts, OC/Y/N x Lusttale, or etc is the same, id love to see it!!

What about Swaplust/Lustfell/AUs?:

Swaplust is also inactive: I have had my own interpretation of Swaplust since i found the AU when it was first made, Lustfell however i dont know, if its requested i will create something but i dont want to just claim every Lust AU out there. Not saying im claiming ownership of Swaplust, im saying that the Swaplust i want to make will be considered canon AU and it will be the ONLY Underlust AU i will ever claim, Swaplust has the same exact permissions. (Swaplust too had a very close Frans suggested ship, that is my reason for it)

To clarify if needed, im not forcing the view of me owning the AU onto every Underlust created content, im just saying if you yourself, the community, support what i do, i will continue, hence why i say tag me! I love to see it!

What about headcanons/outdated info like Sans being shorter?:

RN, Sans is the same size as Gaster Sans (i think 5' something?) however im fine with people drawing him short! ^^

Head-canons are also fully fine!!! Tell me any you think of, id love to hear. As long as you respect that i have my own plans, id be overjoyed to read whatever you guys think of or have.

So, to sum it up, Underlust has had a MIA owner since 2019/2020. Because of the history, and the way its loved, its a massive honor if i could step up and help give the community a AU with a solid backstory, solid characters with fleshed out personalities, and a structured plot that will replace something that was/is beloved. The best i can explain it, is my goal is to structure the AU but still keep support for the community as the AU was indeed considered Fandom Owned, again, you do not have to support me wanting to claim it, just do not bash me for it, as im absolutely not considering Lusttale a variant or AU, im considering Lusttale canon.

Questions are welcomed, if you have any concerns i can also explain! (Anon/Off Anon preferred so i can have it be public accessible incase others have the same questions)

Not an actual post, just me ranting about Asexual representation in fandoms (specifically fanfiction), or the lack thereof.

Tw for: discussion of the eraser of asexual and aromantic identities, discussions of sex and romance.

I am so sick and tired of seeing characters that are heavily considered to be Asexual by not only their creator but their fandoms, have their asexuality completely erased in favor of having heteronormative smut written about them.

Now before I get too deep into ranting, I want to preface this by saying that fanfiction, at its purest form, is wish fulfillment. It's not always complete, in-depth, looks into characters or fictional worlds or an evaluation of certain characters morals. While it can be that, fanfiction at the end of the day is meant to make people happy, and that sometimes means having OOC characters or characters that are completely different than how the creator made them.

However, that argument really only applies when a small part of a character is erased. This is why erasing things like sexuality from a character doesn't work as well because 99% of the time, sexuality is a huge part of the character.

This is why it annoys me when I see so many Asexual, Aromantic, Bisexual, and Transgender characters have those invaluable parts of their identities erased, almost always so that the fanfic author can put them in heteronormative situations, smut being the most common.

I am Asexual, and I've seen this happen to so many characters that are heavily considered to be asexual. The best examples I have is L Lawliet from Death Note and Roman Roy from Succession. The creator of Death Note literally said that he couldn't imagine L having sex, and the closest thing Roman has to a sexual relationship was him masturbating in a bathroom while Gerri dominated him through a door.

While L's asexuality doesn't play a huge role to his character, Roman's does. Roman literally refuses sex multiple times to the point that it causes problems in his relationships, his father thinks there is something wrong with him, and the only way he almost had sex with Tabitha, one of his girlfriends, is if she pretended to be dead. Everything points to him hating sexual intimacy, but for some reason people still write him as if he is some dominate fuckboy who going to bend you over his desk the moment he can.

News flash, Roman wouldn't fuck you, because he'd think it's gross. And if he did, it would not be in the heteronormative "Man dominate, woman submissive" type of way. The most that would happen is Roman beating off while you say mean things about him and then pretend like it didn't happen.

This works with other characters and situations as well. While I haven't watched it a ton, from my knowledge, Saiki Kusuo from the anime Saiki K, is heavily considered to be Aroace. He uses his powers to stop people from confessing to him, he says multiple times he doesn't understand the point of dating/romance, and only goes on dates if it means he gets food. But for some reason, I see so many fanfics writing him as if he'd be this perfect boyfriend for you and only you. That for some reason, you'd be the one that makes him realize that relationships are great, and that romance is for him.

You see the problems with these examples? In both cases with Roman and Saiki, major parts of their character are just washed away by fanfic authors so they can be put in straight coded relationships, sexual or otherwise (I say coded because not all of them are fem reader/oc, only really the smut are).

What people don't understand is that is continues to push this narrative that asexual and aromantic identities don't exists and are not as important as heteronormative one. Whether or not this is intentional is not something I can say, but it doesn't change the outcome.

And before I get people telling me that I should just, "let people write what they want to write" and "fanfiction is just that, fiction. It's not meant to be taken seriously." I know for a fact that if I took a character that was either canonically gay or heavily considered to be gay and totally ignored that so I could write smut where the fuck someone of the opposite sex, people would be fucking livid, and they wouldn't except those excuses. But for some reason, that doesn't apply to Asexuality.

And I know people are going to try and say, "well asexuality is a spectrum and some asexual actually enjoy sex. Same with some Aromantics." Yes, you are correct, both are spectrums. But with most of these characters, including the two I used as examples, both are completely shown to be either romance or sex repulsed. Using the "asexuality/aromantic is a spectrum" argument doesn't work when you put them in heteronormative situations and completely ignore their identity, because even if they enjoy sex/romance, they're still asexual/aromantic.

I'm also willing to acknowledge that the fault mainly lies in the creator of these characters. Because a lot of these characters are never explicitly said to be asexual, creators can get away with capitalizing off of asexuals and their idealities while also never saying if they actually are asexual so that their media will still be consumed by straight people. This isn't a new concept; it's happened a lot with bisexuals, but it doesn't make the action any more okay. It's tiring as an asexual to see the very few bits of representation I've seen be taken away from me just to favor straight audiences. And it's even more tiring to see fanfic authors play into it by not acknowledging something that is so integral to a character.

I don't want to discourage fanfic writers from writings what they want to write, but please at least attempt to acknowledge asexuals and their identities. Try understanding why they seem so hellbent on insisting a certain character is ace before you write them as some dominate fuck boy or some submissive baby.

And if you're someone who is reading this and is getting mad at me for criticizing the way you or your favorite author writes a character, please try and see things from my point to view. I'm tired of seeing the same smut/romance fics written about L, Roman, Alastor, Yeleana, Jughead, Saiki, and many, many other characters where they're written to fit a straight, heteronormative mold. It's fucking annoying.

hi , im django (pronounced jango) !! i go by he/they pronouns, and i am aroace ! im from the usa, im 18+ (not comfortable to share exact age), and im usually semi-active.

im a bit of a lurker, and yes, i have played cod! i've played a bit of cold war, and i've played MWii Reboot. i'm too broke to get MW 2019 or MWiii 😔

im fluent in english (obviously), and half fluent in french and gaelic!

im also currently stuck in the korangi + ghoap brainrot (help)!!!!!!

fandoms, hobbies, etc:

i love, love LOVE cod. i used to really be into star wars and such, but im not really into any others. none really come to my mind atm, but if you mention some fandom i recognize i'll def jump into a nerdy moment of sorts

i write, and im a casual artist, usually just doing little doodles here and there. my favorite sports are football (soccer) and hockey ! if you ask what team i root for you answer is going to be philadelphia, no matter what sport. for football, its france (due to my french side of the family ^^)

and despite my writing rn being absolutely terrible, i consider myself a decent writer—because at least i use punctuation (a little too much, at that)

Happy Pride Month everyone! This is the first part of my series, that features my oc couples assigned to a colour of the pride flag and its meaning.

Red, life, has been assigned to Sigga and Clarice.

Life

Couple chosen:

Sigga and Clarice

Reason why the couple was chosen:

Clarice is doomed to die because she broke a promise she made to the Oracle, and she faces the goddess of love as a last option to save herself. The goddess tells her there is only one way to be safe: sacrifice Sigga and give a life for a life. Clarice has then to choose between dying and killing the person she loves.

Character personalities and sexualities:

Sigga, the main character of the story, is a witty energetic girl who is always in search of adventure. She always sneaks herself in trouble and has no sense of danger. She's an aroace.

Clarice is a funny and caring girl who has been in love with Sigga for years. She always knows how to cheer up the mood, she is extroverted and likes to make friends. She hates risk, is very careful and does not like going out of her comfort zone. She's pansexual.

The two are in a queerplatonic relationship.

Snippet:

Clarice saw the blinding flash of the lighting and flinched. After a long moment the earth shook and the sound of thunder came. She held her breath, frightened, but no one surrounding her seemed to notice.

“Clarice,” the thunder called. “Clarice, my child, you broke your oath.”

The moment later she wasn’t on the streets anymore. She was in the woods, alone, and it was dark. She knew what was happening, so she wasn’t afraid anymore.

“Yes, my lady,” she murmured, bowing her head in respect. “I broke my oath. I did it because I thought I was going to die, I did it for love. I am contrite for disappointing you, but I couldn’t but act the way I did and I do not regret it.”

“You did not disappoint me, child. I always appreciate a good old sacrifice for love. You know, every sacrifice in the name of love is a sacrifice in my name,” the thunder boomed. “But your friends want to save you. They want to go against the oath you made to me, and to make it null it you have to sacrifice something even bigger than that. A life for a life.”

“Tell me what I have to do. Tell me what I have to do to save myself, and Sigga won’t hate me. She will forgive me, perhaps, everything will get back to how it used to be. I’ll have more time. Tell me, please.”

“As I said, child, it’s very simple. You can choose, if you want it above all else you can have your life saved. But you’ll have to pay a price.”

“I will. I’ll do anything I… don’t want to die.”

“If you’ll say yes, if you’ll choose to live, it will be her to die. She’ll take your place and she will fade. The person you love the most.”

Clarice looked up to the sky in shock. She couldn’t see the goddess, no mortal could, but she wished to look at her to see her face, understand if she was serious or it was just a joke.

“No,” she said, her voice low. “It can’t be true. You can’t really ask me to do that.”

“There is no other way. A life for a life.”

It was then that Clarice hesitated. She didn’t want to die, she wanted to live. And what did she owe Sigga, who did not want her, not the way Clarice wanted her? Nothing. No one would have blamed her if she had accepted the goddess’ offer. No one. Why was she supposed to die for someone who was pissed at her, someone that had never looked at her the way she wanted to be looked at? Someone who had never loved her back the way she should have?

She could choose to live, and Sigga would have died. She was going to be upset at first, guilty, maybe even broken, but she would have got over it, eventually. Sigga wasn’t her world.

Although…

Although Sigga was a part of her. Her closest friend, her mate, her partner, a piece of her heart. Sigga was witty, smart, brave, kind. She did not deserve to die. Her death would have broken her heart. Because she loved her, with every part of her, and because she cared about her.

She couldn’t let her die, to save herself no less. Sigga had ambitions, she had dreams, dreams that she was going to make true. She was going to travel, she was going to see the world. Clarice was no one to take it from her.

She was Sigga, the most lively person she knew, an energy bomb, an irresistible joy. She could not die.

“I refuse your offer,” she said, her heart on her throat. “I can’t accept, I can’t.”

“Are you sure, child? If you really refuse it, in the span of a few months you’ll die.”

“I am sure. I refuse your offer.”

“So be it,” the wind murmured, then everything went black.

4. What do they consider to be an unforgivable action? Why?

hmmm this is a hard one. so Anton doesn’t like just killing or torturing people for no reason. he wouldn’t go out and kill an innocent person because he’d feel really bad about it, and he hates sadistic torture just for the sake of torture. but if its for SCIENCE, on the other hand… then it’d be justified in his mind but he would still feel kinda bad about it.

OH and any type of animal abuse is unforgivable to Anton and he’d personally rip someone to pieces if they ever hurt an animal on purpose. same goes for the obvious like SA and stuff like that, or anything related to hurting children, or bigotry of any kind, obviously.

36. Tell us something about your OC that doesn't make it onto the page?

so Dew has a crush on both of his roommates, Layla and Hayden. it’s not super important to the story but it adds extra angst because of the fact he never told them, and now feel like he never will. OH YEA i should probably say he’s polyamorous (pretty much all my ocs are unless they’re aroace) because i kinda think monogamy is boring /lh. Dew is pansexual as well. (also im absolutely terrible at writing romance and i think its boring as fuck /lh so that will Not be a huge focus in the story)

Dew’s favorite video games are minecraft anddd he definitely had an undertale phase (he loves deltarune too and his favorite character is kris). he also likes to draw fanart for his favorite cartoons and make self insert ocs. he silly

Anton is asexual and not exactly aromantic but he just never really cared or had time for that sort of thing. Anton’s ambidextrous, his favorite food is lasagna (he has a garfield t-shirt collection), his favorite color is lime green, and his favorite animals are mice and rats. Anton kinda hates people and would rather spend time with animals. he talks to himself A LOT (same) addd i kinda wish i made him talk through his experiments to a tape recorder because i do that (jonathan sims moment) but its too late now ig.

(This is ab the fandom) the amount of racism that jumped out when sweet pea was paired with Josie was absolutely disgusting

Josie and Archie had more chemistry than archie and any other pairing

Archie should have been queer

They really did the bury your gays trope

Joaquin should have lived

Jughead should have died in s2

Jughead should not have been made serpent king

They expect me to believe Malachai died from an arrow to the shoulder

Kevin really makes no sense to the plot

Musical episodes shouldn’t have ever happened

Also they really didn’t take advantage of the actual Broadway actor in their fucking cast

Writing Josie off the show was lazy

The time jump is one of the best things to happen to the show

The small serpent backstory was actually one of the better stories in the show

The show wants to be serious and camp but fails in both

They tried to include references from twin peaks (literallt tried to make it a rip-off twin peaks) and scream and failed

All of the references it makes are horrible

These kids need therapy

Betty is one of the worst characters I’ve ever seen

They handled Reggie’s ab*se so so poorly

The only reason I have an attachment is bc I’ve met some of my best friends and made such a cool universe out of it

There’s prob more but I think I’m done for now lol I’ll def add if I think of more (I’m not even gonna start on most of my fandom issues bc this post would be twice as long)

ROYALTY OF GONDOR

Anárion ft. Anárion, Elennúmen (OC), Ringelenë (OC), Almameldë (OC), Aspenindë (OC), Meneldil Anárion’s story is canon, though the details about his spouse and daughters are all headcanon. Anárion is said to have had four children, with Meneldil being the youngest, which is odd to me because Meneldil was the last man born in Númenor...but also he and his older siblings are all older than Isildur’s kids except for Elendur? Whatever. Maybe Anárion’s implied daughters were triplets or something. And Isildur’s dry spell of kids is kind of weird on its own.

Meneldil ft. Meneldil, Nyellelírë (OC), Cemendur of Gondor, Tinweriel (OC), Eärendil of Gondor, Aldalótë (OC), Anardil of Gondor, Elquassë (OC) We don’t actually know what Meneldil did during the War of the Last Alliance. Meneldil’s reaction to Isildur’s departure is canon, but has been embellished. We don’t know anything about Cemendur, Eärendil, or Anardil beyond their names; everything else about them is headcanon. “Atalantë” is another name for the event more commonly known as the Akallabêth. ETA 4/1/21: Fixed a minor timeline error.

Ostoher ft. Ostoher, Haldanárië (OC), Tarostar Rómendacil I, Ravandië (OC), Turambar of Gondor, Culindë (OC), Atanatar I, Rátavanië (OC) Ostoher did indeed remodel Minas Anor and turn it into his summer home, but his reasons why are a headcanon. Most of Rómendacil’s story is canon, though I made up the identity of his steward (you’ll see him again later in the series); for information on the Tradition of Isildur, see this article in the Encyclopedia of Arda. Turambar’s life is likewise mostly canon, though like his father’s story it’s been embellished here and there. Atanatar’s life is entirely headcanon.

Siriondil ft. King Siriondil, Ilvanya (OC), Tarannon Falastur, Zâinazimril Berúthiel, Círyan Everything about Siriondil is headcanon. Tarannon and Berúthiel’s story is canon at its roots, but has been spun to make Berúthiel much more sympathetic. Herumor is a real Black Númenórean from the end of the Second Age, but there’s no proof he was related to Berúthiel, nor that Berúthiel came specifically from Rhûn Harad; we only know that she was a Black Númenórean. Her Adûnaic name is my own creation, and her story has been greatly embellished. ETA 9/9/21: Changed Rhûn to Harad in order to better fit Herumor’s backstory.

Tarcíryan ft. Tarcíryan, Láminë (OC), Eärnil I, Tyelcatálië (OC), Círyandil, Netyariel (OC), Círyaher Hyarmendacil I, Ilwiel Rilyasicil (OC) Tarcíryan adding the Tar- to his birth name is headcanon, as is his position as Captain of the Hosts and the manner of his death. (I’ve also decided to add the accented í to all names that include the element cír, “ship,” as it appears in the name Círdan, just because I think it looks nice. The only one I missed was Tar-Círyatan, as I made that decision after his edit was posted.) Eärnil’s story is mostly canon, though the bit about his death being arranged by the lords of Umbar is headcanon. Umbar’s origins as a conquered city are strongly implied but not explicitly canon. Círyandil’s life is entirely canon. Círyaher’s story is mostly canon, though I gave some credit for his accomplishments to his wife, and a few details have been embellished. The bit about Celebrindor of Arnor is headcanon. And of course, all details about the OC wives are my own creation.

Atanatar II ft. Atanatar II Alcarin, Míriën (OC), Narmacil I, Calmacil We don’t know if Atanatar was an only child or not, I made that decision. Most of his story is canon, with a few embellishments. It’s not impossible that Narmacil was married, but he canonically had no children, so I decided to make him aroace. Narmacil’s worries about Minalcar overthrowing him are all headcanon, but the details of the war and alliance with Rhovanion are canon.

Calmacil ft. Calmacil, Aistárë (OC), Minalcar Rómendacil II, Calimehtar Calmacil’s story is mostly canon, though everything relating to his wife is headcanon.

Calimehtar ft. Calimehtar, Imbelossë (OC), Alquandilmë (OC), Serecco (OC), Castamir Everything here is headcanon, except that Calimehtar is canonically the ancestor of Castamir.

Rómendacil II ft. Minalcar Rómendacil II, Calamistë (OC), Valacar, Vidugavia, Vidumavi, Vinitharya Eldacar The basic details of this one are canon (Rómendacil’s regency, Valacar’s marriage, etc), but I’ve significantly messed with the timelines; canonically, Minalcar did not go himself to Rhovanion after his military victory, instead sending Valacar (who was already grown) alone, but I liked the idea of Valacar growing up in Rhovanion so I changed things to make that work. Also, fun fact: “Vinitharya” is not pronounced as Viniþarya, but rather as Vinit-harya.

Castamir ft. Castamir, Núriel (OC), Airesarno (OC), Ninquo (OC), Arnakhôr Angamaitë, Azgarzîr Sangahyando The influence of his mother upon Castamir is a headcanon, as is everything about his wife. It is canonical that Castamir had sons who survived the Kin-strife, though we don’t know their names. Ornendil was canonically executed when Osgiliath fell, but Castamir performing the execution himself is an embellishment. He was canonically “haughty and ungenerous” as a king; I made up the bit about him specifically continuing executions and exiles, but it doesn’t feel like much of a stretch. We don’t know much about Castamir’s sons or their fate, but I feel that my extrapolations are based in canon. Angamaitë and Sangahyando’s Adûnaic names are my own creation, but the details of their schemes are canonical. We know they are both descended from Castamir, though not the specific details of their relationship to each other; I chose to make them grandsons of different sons of Castamir. We don’t know what their eventual fates were, but considering they would have lived during the Great Plague, I thought that was a fittingly ironic way for them to die.

Eldacar ft. Vinitharya Eldacar, Russariel (OC), Ornendil, Aldamir This is mostly canon, with all the headcanoned details having been covered in previous notes.

Aldamir ft. Aldamir, Lintasímë (OC), Vinyarion Hyarmendacil II, Mittanyar (OC), Minardil Look, sometimes ladies get to die in pointless duels, okay? I did make that up, though the rest of Aldamir’s life is canonical. I made Vinyarion trans because c’mon, a name like “new son”? He chose that when he came out. Also his spouse is nonbinary because why not! Enbies can be Captains of the Ships, too!!

Minardil ft. Minardil, Huilindië (OC), Telemnar, Súriel (OC), Fernendil (OC), Mityaher (OC), Cucuandië (OC), Minastan, Nenyawilin (OC), Tarondor of Gondor The circumstances of Minardil’s death are canon (and were covered earlier as well), though again everything about his wife is made up. Húrin of Emyn Arnen was indeed Minardil’s steward, and the stewards were chosen from his House after this, but the details about his role in these two succession crises are all headcanon. All we know about Telemnar in canon is that he started building a fleet to fight Umbar, but that when the Great Plague came he and “all his children” died, leaving his nephew Tarondor to inherit. Thus everything about his wife and daughter is all made up.

Tarondor of Gondor ft. Tarondor of Gondor, Varnefindë (OC), Telumehtar Umbardacil, Elenmirwë (OC), Narmacil II, Arcíryas Tarondor’s deeds as king are canon, as is the age of Telumehtar at the time of his inheritance, though we know nothing about the fate of his wife. Telumehtar’s deeds are likewise canon, though we don’t know the specifics about how the last descendants of Castamir were slain, just that they died in this battle.

Narmacil II ft. Narmacil II, Alassindo (OC), King Calimehtar, Nessimë (OC), Ondoher, Lúnaduinë (OC) Everything about Alassindo is headcanon, but Narmacil did canonically die fighting the Wainriders. Except for the details about his wife and his time governing Minas Anor before his inheritance, Calimehtar’s story is canon. We know nothing about Calimehtar’s daughter except that he had one.

Ondoher ft. Ondoher, Lelyariel (OC), Artamir, Prince Faramir, Fíriel, Arvedui, Lúnaduinë (OC), Quildoloro (OC), Minohtar Everything about the rivalry between Ondoher and Eärnil is headcanon. The alliance with Arnor is canon, though the details of the marriage of Arvedui and Fíriel being arranged by their mothers is headcanon. All the details about the battles are canon.

Arcíryas ft. Arcíryas, Moicanítë (OC), Calimmacil, Lótëaloxë (OC), Prince Siriondil, Vánquassë (OC), Eärnil II, Telpinë (OC), Eärnur, Morimmacil (OC) Save for their relations to one another, everything about Arcíryas, Calimmacil, and Siriondil is headcanon. The rivalry between this house and the Line of Kings is headcanon, but everything else about Eärnil and Eärnur is canon. Eärnur is arguably gay-coded, so I gave him a boyfriend, but that is not explicitly canonical.

Ok so there are two parts why: personally and canonically XD

Ok so how I even started thinking about it was when I was looking up Riley from Inside Out, I think? Cause I thought she was a guy in the trailer and i looked on the interwebs to see if other people had the same thought but then I saw a post by Disney Confessions that said they thought she was a Demiboy or Demigirl or something like that and i was like Oooh that makes sense (that was also when I found out about that particular gender identity I think) and as I kept scrolling through Disney Confessions i think(??? This was a while ago so Idk) someone said they thought Hiro was aro ace or asexual romantic something or I dunno and then I remembered when I watched the movie like how they first introduced Gogo when she flipped her hair and took off her helmet, which is totally used as a Meet Cute™ moment in most stuff, and how my first thought was ooghhh here we go again but nothing happened with them the rest of the movie even at the end.

And then there was the pink blast seen when honey took her glasses off and I was like oh Geeze™ but still, nothing happened and I was just so happy it went the whole movie without romance and focused on building family dynamics. Nevermind age gaps because cartoons don't care about young men having crushes on older teen girls (Ferb and Vanessa, bubblegum and Finn, dipper and Wendy). And so I was like YEAH I CAN GET BEHIND THAT and so I did. I was around Hiro's age when I found out I was asexual and when I first watched the movie and so it was super cool I could just have the headcanon and like never have it debunked unless another movie came out or something-

And low and behold BIG HERO SIX THE SERIES and gosh a part of me was like leave the gosh darn movie alone and by itself but also I really wanted to see more of my faves, especially Tadashi because I wrote a very long fanfic of him and my oc his boyfriend with legit like only 20 minutes of Tadashi screen time. (Its called Tadashi Hamada Is Mine btw go check it out) and so I watched it and while watching it I was extremely disappointed how one dimensional the show made them, cause when you just have a movie you can imagine the characters as three dimensional as you like by inferencing stuff from montages in the movie and little things like how they move and look at each other and stuff but now you have the show that just makes Gogo the edgy one and Honey the super bright one and just archetypes that aren’t that interesting anymore.

And then they introduce these girls like Karmi and Trina and I'm like they can NOT actually be trying to give him romantic interests like are you serious?? And as I watch I notice just how uncomfortable Hiro is with her. Like at first he's seriously trying to be her friend and work with her but she’s so mean to him and for no good reason?? Like, even when she is being awful to deal with he still tries being nice and when he finds out Karmi has a crush on his hero side he gets all uncomfortable, ESPECIALLY in the fanfic episode because, yeah, who wouldn’t? It’s like one direction or kpop or youtube ship fics, it’s weird! but especially cause he isn’t interested in romance at all! He’s even annoyed that people are shipping him with Karmi in that one scene, which furthers the idea that he’s not interested at all in her.

there was that moment in the episode that Karmi met that female scientist and Hiro was jealous, and usually, cartoons make an effort to have the mc’s friends tease them about having a crush on romantic interest AKA Karmi, but the bh6 crew only commented on his jealousy for not winning the thing.

Then Trina, he was more interested in the Botfights than her, really. He blushed after she complimented his bot-building skills because he was flattered. Creating is his main focus, his passion, and obviously, it feels nice to have that recognized, which is also why he tries so hard at school and against Karmi and to live up to Tadashi. (though yeah i could be looking wayyyy to deep into it(cause i am XD)) Anyway, he becomes Trina’s mentor, and it’s a nice change for him because after probably building stuff on his own and having Tadashi there to support him, and then losing Tadashi and having all these people at college around him just as good or even better at it than him, he started to feel, as Honey put it, insecure. Being a hero gives him confidence, which is why he’s always working on updates for their suits. The bot fighter episode was about his gambling addiction and someone being a bad influence on him, similar to Emmet and his alter ego in the Lego Movie 2. He was supposed to see himself as her, not with her.

Also there’s this:

which kinda debunks my headcanon, but there was a reason it was taken out, right? Like, the writers changed their minds and decided he wouldn’t have a crush on her! So, like, his preferences, or lack thereof, are still up in the air!!

Also, it follows through the aroace scientist thing fandom has going, like for Sherlock before people shipped him with John, or Pidge from Voltron, and characters in anime that outright say romance is stupid because they're only focused on projects.

Outside of that, it just makes me happy to have some plausible aroace rep. I'm demihetro ace myself, but it’s nice to be able to see a main character in a cartoon series not have to pay romance any attention or even want it when it inevitably comes up in conversation. Okay, im gonna do the main 4 ocs I have rn because those are the ones I have the most fleshed out for! Also gonna put it under a readmore because ho my god that's gonna be a LOT of text lmao

Kai

1. (their voice) Kai's voice is high-pitched and raspy due to her constant yelling and screaming. There is also a level of charisma too it, but its hard to explain. Its like her voice is so weird that you can't help but listen.

2.(their smile) Her smile is big, wide, and mischievous! Pair that with her many rows of shark like teeth and it can be very off-putting; she tries not to smile but her personality makes it almost impossible. However, one you get to know her, you can tell the difference between a fake smile and a genuine one.

3.(their greatest achievement) Kai considers her greatest achievement to be her magical prowess; her skill with her water magic is advanced for her age. She definitely likes to show off, haha.

4.(their insecurities) While she may act tough and arrogant, its just a façade to mask her low self worth and depression. As the queen/future queen she is terrified of failure; how can she lead others when she can't even help herself? Like I mentioned before, shes also insecure of her looks, because they give away that shes possessed.

5. (their shortcomings) Her ability to control her impulses is practically non existant lmao, she'll just straight up jump off the roof of the castle if she feels like it (which is a lot). Also her ego gets her into quite a bit of trouble as well. And her anger is a problem too; if she cant control it it becomes like a hulk situation. This is part of the reason she drinks, it numbs her senses.

6.(how they deal with grief) haha, that's a good one. Kai doesn't deal with grief she just drinks or does more dangerous shit to take her mind off of it. Or she'll just scream and wreck stuff; either way it ends up being more harmful than helpful.

7.(how they like to dress) Kai would prefer to dress in clothes that are easy to move in like pants or shorts; things that fit tight and have little resistance. But because shes royalty, sterling makes sure she at least dresses the part (much to her annoyance; she doesn't seen the point in all the ornamentation and frills. She does find them pretty, just not on her.

8.(what they like to eat) Anything that she can rip apart like meat and stuff. She loves using those teeth lol

9.(their theme) I think this means what their character is based around, but if im wrong please correct me. Kai's theme is embracing femininity, learning to grieve, and learning to be an independent person.

10.(their fashion sense) Like mentioned earlier sterling picks out most of her clothes for her, so her fashion sense stems from his (and she hates it lmao)

11.(their family life) Her mother died when she was 10, and she has no other siblings. Her father is too busy running the kingdom to pay attention to his daughter. Sterling and her have the best relationship (they were inseparable those first 10 years) but after the queens death and kais subsequent possession, things have become very strained.

12.(their romantic life) HAHAHA. Yeah no shes demi ace and terrified of emotional intimacy and commitment. If she did flirt, she'd be pretty good at it, but she's kinda oblivious about that kinda thing. People often mistake her charm and charisma as romantic interest, but she's just very friendly.

13.(their embarrassing memory from years ago) The most embarrassing thing to happen to her so far, is that sterling is the one who saw her covered in blood and possessed. Its a fuzzy memory at best, but she remembers enough for it to be painful.

14.(how they react to burning their tongue on food) Lots of choking and cursing, occasionally followed by yelling at whoever made the food. And if shes feeling particularly stupid that day, she'll just down the rest of it, hoping it burns her mouth even more.

15.(how they react to a brainfreeze) She's never had anything that cold before, but if she did there would also be lots of cursing, followed by her immediately drinking/eating as fast as she can to make it happen again lol

16.(their dreams) She dreams of being able to go to the ocean; her mother promised she'd take her when she got older (they live very far away from any large body of water much less an ocean) She also dreams of being free from the restrictions of being royalty and just being able to do whatever she wants.

17.(their ambitions) Her main ambition is to find a way to put her heart back into her chest (it was literally cut out of her and put into a box) and get rid of the ghost possessing her.

18.(how they sleep) She sleeps most of the day and stays up during the night. Its not restful sleep by any means, but its all she can get. She has constant nightmares and also its hard to sleep when theres an other worldly entity watching you 8)

19.(their reaction to betrayal) She avoids relationships for this very reason (but it still happens), she just shuts down completely; no talking, no crying, nothing but heavy silence.

20.(their reaction to a mystery love letter) She'd act all "of course! one of my many admirers'!" then when she's alone, she furiously tries to figure out who and why lol.

21.(how they react to pain) Because of complications from the possession she is hyper sensitive to pain (the ghost possessing her did this to try and prevent her from doing anything dangerous to increase her magic power, but jokes on her it backfired) So while it may seem likes she's being overdramatic, that would be the one time she's actually not over exaggerating.

22.(what they're like on two hours of sleep) Wired as shit. Anything can set her off, and she talk super fast too, like she's had 12 cups of coffee or something.

23.(how they act when they're sick) She can't actually get sick, again the ghost prevents it. She needs a healthy, preferably young host to completely thrive, so she makes sure that the host gets sick as little as possible and that they stay young as long as possible. It's why kai is so small, her growth is stunted.

24.(what motivates them) Her want to take back control over her life and fix the damage she has caused to others through her reckless and selfish behavior (on a smaller scale) her flaw of being a people pleaser.

25.(why do you enjoy them) I enjoy her because she reminds me a lot of myself, both currently and how I used to be. Shes the first oc I ever created and gave backstory and a personality to; shes my shark baby ;v;

Sterling

1. His voice is smooth and rich like chocolate (he is my hot character okay let me have this). He has a medium pitch voice that is gentle and kind, while still remaining authoritative and firm. He loves to sing and has an amazing voice (honestly wish I had an example but I haven't found one yet)

2. He has a smile that radiates pure gentleness and sunshine and he smiles often! He doesn't believe that all knights have to be boring and stuffy, and he likes to use his kindness to challenge that.

3. This is gonna be so sappy but his greatest achievement in his own words is "watching kai become her own person".

4. He worries constantly that he has failed at his job as a knight to the royal family. He blames himself for the queens death and kais downward spiral. He also has scars that he is self conscious of ( kais the only one whos seen them, and even that was an accident)

5. Sterling can be a bit too controlling when it comes to kai, it comes from a place of love, but its also his way of dealing with this resentment towards kai. He is also an enabler and allows reckless and unhealthy behavior to continue because its easier to not confront it. And his fear of blood is debilitating as well.

6. He'll usually allow himself to cry, but only in private. He usually bottles up his emotions so he doesn't burden others or takes his aggression out by sparring.

7. Sterling has a uniform to wear like the other knights, but even when not on duty his clothes very much give away that hes a knight. He dresses solely for function; if he can work and get around in them hes perfectly fine.

8. Sterling loves bread, like im pretty sure he'd marry it if he could. However because of his knight status and pride in his own appearance, he has to resist and make himself eat a healthy diet lol.

9. Sterling's theme is family, or rather, even if you aren't blood related you can still be family. And that sometimes things are out of your control and that's okay.

10. He has pretty good fashion sense, he can figure what looks good on someone just by looking at them. He always looks impeccably dressed himself but prefers a minimalist style.

11. Sterling has a huge family! He has several siblings (some he's related to, some not) but I haven't decided how many yet. And he has two loving parents that are very supportive of his career choice (his mother still worries though).

12. Sterling has no time for romance, plus hes not interested (that doesn't stop people from flirting however); hes aroace :)

13. Probably when he was first actually assigned to take care of kai as a baby. He hade no idea what do and had to ask several of the other knights and servants to help him (some of them won't let him live it down either)

14. Just look at the "this is fine" meme and you'll have your answer

15. Same as above lol

16. He dreams of traveling and helping people all over the world, and also seeing kai grow and develop into her own person.

17. He wants to be the best knight ever (but he'd never actually say that shhhh) at least that's all I have for him haha

18. His sleep schedules kinda screwed because if theres a problem with kai, he has to handle it, no one else will. Plus he's naturally a early riser, so the amount of sleep he can get varies. He's a light sleeper as well.

19. (why would you betray him how could you) But betraying him will land you on his shit list and he will be as petty as possible; passive aggressive might as well be his middle name.

20. He's just kinda like "aw that's sweet" and never think about it again. He might share them with kai if theyre interesting enough. Honestly you'd be better of just telling him to his face how you feel, so he won't ignore you that way.

21. He has a pretty high pain tolerance; being a knight you have to be able to take damage and get right back up again, and he's gotten pretty good at that.

22. Same as usual honestly, maybe a little more drowsy but that's it.

23. He'll probably hide that he's sick lmao, he doesn't like being taken care of. He could be hacking up a lung and still refuse medicine like "don't worry about me im fine haha :D"

25. I enjoy him because I've always loved straight laced by the books characters, they're such dorks and I love it haha. Plus hes my pretty boy UwU

Elysia

1. Her voice is low and quiet; it commands the listeners attention. She developed this trait because she usually talks to animals who are more perceptive of tonal inflections than people are. She can sing as well, but it's more of a warble than actually singing, but it still sounds beautiful.

2. Elsyia rarely ever smiles, unless she's talking to animals (even then it can vary depending on which animals show teeth as a sign of aggression) but when she does its a nice small slight smile.

3. Her greatest achievement is the fact that she's still alive; everyday it takes all her strength to get up and keep moving.

4. Like with Kai a lot of her insecurities stem from the way she looks; people aren't exactly willing to be nice to demons. She also worries she's going to seriously hurt someone with her lightning magic.

5. Her paranoia and anxiety are her main problems (while they are not necessarily something she can always control, they do affect her perception and decisions).

6. She'll most likely isolate herself or just flat out leave for several days. She comes back but you can see something is still wrong when you look at her eyes (jesus Christ none of my characters know how to grieve)

7. Anything that's flowy and lets her breath is her favorite. Due to her blood being super heated plasma her body temp is waaaay higher than normal, so her lack of clothing is an effort to not over heat.

8. Elysia is a vegetarian! She doesn't want to hurt animals :( Also the effort to find plants to eat is less when you're constantly roaming than finding and capturing an animal to eat.

9. Elyisa's theme is self-acceptance and learning to put trust in others.

10. I imagine her as being pretty fashion forward but due to her body temp and money issues she just kinda wears whatever.

11. She's an only child, her father left her an her mother when she was young so she became the sole provider for the two of them. Unfortunately her and her mother are now separated.

12. Nope no nah no way. Like sterling she has no time and its not something she ever considered (until she meets kai of course >u>) But she's ace as well!

13. When she tried to catch a cow and ended up almost destroying the entire marketplace she lived at.

14. She can't feel it probably, so she'll just keep eating like normal.

15. She gets these a lot because of her need to consume cold things to stay comfortable, so she'll just wait till it goes away then resume eating at a slower pace.

16. Her dreams are to be financially stable (like that's it, she is a broke college student someone help her).

17. Basically the same as above (at least as of now)

18. She has insomnia so she sleeps two hours at a time if that, usually in trees or caves around a campfire. Very light sleeper with frequent night terrors.

19. She expects it at this point, it would still hurt, but she'd act like it was no big deal.

20. She'd wonder who was playing such a mean trick on her :(

21. She's kinda numb at least on her right side??? Cuz that's where she was struck by lightning so she has nerve damage on that side. So she has a normal pain tolerance with the exception of her right side.

22. Normal; irritable, grouchy, and curt.

23. She's a big baby when she's sick lol, but she doesn't want people to take care so she'll just suffer alone

24. Money at this point, she's trying to fill a void, but she's not having any luck, I think it's part of the reason why her motivations and ambitions seem so vague or unfulfilling; she doesn't know what she wants.

25. I love her design the most out of all of them, plus I love writing grumpy characters who have a secret heart of gold

Andie/Andrea

1. Andie's voice is calm and monotone almost as if they have to force a certain tone to their voice. Andie sounds like how a doctor does; brief curt sentences and frank attitude. Yet they sound like silk drifting in the breeze, it confuses anyone who tries to talk to them. When they become more "vocal" a raspyness makes itself known and suddenly all feelings of safety and security are gone and their voice becomes dark and cold.

2. Like with Andie's voice, their smile also seems artificial at further inspection; its almost too perfect, too inviting. It's a trap that most don't realize they are walking into.

3. Andie's greatest achievement is their biomechanical body parts; they pride themselves on being the peak of human and medical technology.

4. Andie worries that there's always someone better, someone smarter, faster, stronger; and that they exist is unacceptable. Andie fears death like most others do not, having escaped it once makes them never want to go through it again. However; their confidence in themselves to make sure that never happens is hanging on by a thread (much like every other aspect of them)

5. They are emotionally and physically abusive on top of being a manipulator with homicidal tendencies and a fragile psyche. Like I said, they're hanging on by a thread.

6. Andie does not deal with grief, at least not anymore. Now it's someone else's problem.

7. They dress to cover any "inhuman" aspects of themselves such as the metal limbs and spine andie has made for themselves.

8. Andie doesn't really eat, they considered it a waste of time. But they do remember the taste of the stew their mother always made...

9. Andie's theme is more of a warning than anything; do not let your experiences and fears consume you or you will be lost to them forever.

10. Andie doesn't care, if it's not related to their work it's not important enough.

11. Andie had a mother and father, but they burned to death in a fire. Now the only "family" (and I use this term loosely) andie has is her two assistants.

12. Andie has no concept of romance, but will use it if it is advantageous to them. Again another frivolous human concept as far as they're concerned.

13. They've erased most of their childhood memories from years of experimenting with their own brain; the more it made andie feel, the quicker it was removed.

14. They can't taste really since their tongue is artificial like most of the rest of them. Andie would get more upset at the fact that the food might be hot enough to damage the material they are made out of.

15. They'd be confused and angry at how useless such a reaction is; they'd probably try to rewire it later.

16. To never die and be an immortal. It's what they have devoted their life too.

17. Same as above, although andie does want to bring back their dead parents.

18. Lmao andie is half cyborg they do not sleep, but like with everything else other people do, they fake it to appear human.

19. Hoo boy that is something you do not under any circumstances want to do. Andie takes is as a very personal offense and will have no qualms about severely hurting someone for it.

20. "what is this? a love letter for me? Aww, how disgusting~"

21. Inhumanly high pain tolerance after years of body modifications; you could take out their eye and they'd be more upset about how much it took to make the eye than actually losing a fucking eye.

22. Normal; still off their rocker.

23. Don't get sick, but occasionally parts will malfunction or fail in which there is a lot of groaning and "fucking serious? again?"

24. Their fear of death and the unknown and bringing back their parents.

25. I don't enjoy andie per say, but they're therapeutic to write in a way? I dunno it's just nice having all these horrible traits in one character and it just gives me a way to vent about the shit ive had to go through. They are not meant to be enjoyed, andie was created to be a projection of the way ive been treated. I also want to say I don't condone any of andie's behavior nor do I intend to romanticize it. (And also I use they for andie not because they are agender or to demonize agender people, but as a reflection of andie's view of themselves. They see themselves as greater than male or female, so their pronouns reflect that. However, if anyone has a batter alternative please let me know :) )

so im a latina woman that started writing original fiction based on my ocs who are all latinxs of different backgrounds. One of them is an aroace girl (18 y/o) and realizing that shes aroace is part of her character arc. Through one of her friends she learns of asexuality and realizes that it applies to her and that that's the reason why she always felt like she couldn't resonate with other people's experiences so well. Now, i'm not ace myself (im bi aro), but a (white) friend told me that (1/3)

it’s racist to have a woc (my oc’s a chicana girl who met the rest of the main characters on a trip to panama) be aroace because “we are always reduced to having no romantic plots/interests” and this way im “dehumanizing” her. However, she’s the only one of the main 4 characters who doesn’t have a romantic interest, and well, i’m kind of side-eyeing my friend bc she’s made some aphobic comments in the past, especially with the god-damned ace discourse, and it’s really not her place (2/3)

as a white woman to tell me, a latina, what’s racist (specifically anti-latinx) or not. It’s worried me, though, because I don’t want to have any stereotypes or harmful tropes on my work. I know you guys have talked about intersectionality with ace/aro orientations, and I respect your opinions on those matters, so that’s why i’m asking you, but I’m sorry if I’m imposing myself by asking this. Thank you for your time!

No offense but from what you’re saying your friend is full of shit. You’re right that it’s not her place to speak about what’s racist or not, and if she’s not also aro and/or ace then she should not weight in in that respect.

White fandom’s got a real knack for hc woc of certain ethnicities as aromantic so that they don’t get on the way of whoever they ship the main white with, or as asexual if they are not “desirable”. However, that doesn’t apply to ALL women of color in ALL cases. There is an ugly ass racist trend related to this (and it applies irl too, perhaps white people on the street don’t say that x woman of y race is asexual, but they ARE desexualised), but that should not erase our existence. If you’re an aro latina woman, you should be able to write about aro latina women.

An aro/ace latina woman of color is not a racist caricature at all, we’re very much real and we deserve as much representation as anyone else, thank you very much. We exist and we struggle coming to terms with our sexuality and a lot of us don’t even learn of it until we’ve grown because of it’s lack of visibility, which in turn can put is in situations that are damaging to ourselves. So representation is something that we desperately need and that no non-aro, non-ace white woman should take away from us because of some trend saying that all things asexual are ugly that exists on tumblr dot com.

I don’t have all the facts of your characters and your stories with me, obviously, but its sounds like you’re in the right in this case. I’d say, if you need some kind of reference, that for your character to not fall into the harmful category of aro or ace headcanons (or canon, in this case, as this is your character we’re talking about), you should consider:

a. are they the only character of color? the only representation of that particular race? Are all the characters of that race asexual and/or aromantic?b. is this character developed outside of their sexuality? is making them aroace/aro/ace just an excuse to let them be undeveloped or to not give them a romantic interest?c. are you painting their sexuality as something that makes them inherently inferior to their non-ace, non-aro, counterparts?, d. is their aromanticism and/or asexuality an obstacle that should be countered or ‘cured’? (tbh you should consider this one regardless of race),e. is it something that’s stated with canonical evidence, or did you just forget about them and then pulled the aroace card out of your ass cassandra clare-style?f. Do not mix up asexuality and desexualisation or being seen as undesirable, they are not the same and when writing ace characters of color you should keep an eye on how yo do it so that for writing the first you don’t end up doing the second - that IS harmful, racist, and it must be avoided.

I think, if you consider that, you’re good to go (although if I’m forgetting something or if I’m wrong about something please let me know), and please tell your friend to mind her own business. Good luck on your story - from what you’re saying, it sounds promising!
