hi mei, for mvm dbf!poly!marauders helping you out your swimsuit, thank you, sorry for the spam <33
today is multiverse monday, send me any au you can think of! :)
this post is 18+, minors dni.
"Mate, don't- watch her head!" James hisses, rushing to cup the crown of your head where Sirius nearly bangs it into the doorframe.
"Can you shut up?" Sirius whirls on the man, spinning you with him and nearly clocking your head against a table corner, "I know what I'm doing!"
"You don't," Remus grumbles, sliding his hands under Sirius's own and hauling you into his own grip. You groan at the change in position and Remus adjusts you so that you're draped over his chest and shoulder rather than bridal style across his arms.
"Relax," He hums, your nose pressed to his throat that vibrates with his words, "We're just getting you to bed, dove."
"Thanks, Rem," You mumble sleepily, eyes blinking blearily open to see James and Sirius following up the stairs behind him. You let yourself drift in and out while they change you, but all you're really missing is a lot of heated whispers.
"No, Prongs, don't untie that string, that's the wrong one!"
"S'not the wrong one! Look, if I untie it, it'll come off."
"But this is the one you're supposed to untie," Sirius jabs a finger into your back at a messily tied bow, "That one stays up 'cause all she has to do is slip it over her head."
"All we have to do," Remus concludes, tugging at the string of your bikini top before the others can intervene. Once your swimsuit is off Remus hands it over to James, and lets Sirius slip a nightgown over you.
They make quick work of your panties, and James can't help but squeeze at your ass when he tugs the elastic band up your hips.
"Mm, Jamie," You jolt, peering disgruntled up at him, "Jus' lemme sleep!"
"M'sorry, love," James croons, trying not to laugh at your angry pout. He leans down to kiss your forehead, and Sirius tugs the sheets up under your chin.
"We'll wash the suit for you," Remus hums, brushing a hand over your face to rid it of stray hairs, "Sleep well, dovey."

dang that was cuuuuuute. Spell the Beans my beloved <3
the pairing of Duce slowly (with Frankie's frank observation skills) realizing that his mom glossed over a LOT of bullying in all her triumphant monster high stories, and then seeing Dacula being so worried about his daughter's future, him working to get where he is so Draculaura would have it easier- and how he DIDN'T accept her witchcraft at first! Because he was worried it'd make life HARDER for her!
That was a gooooooooood writing choice. Finding out how one parent did have it hard makes seeing the other one worrying about their kid just, chef's kiss.
(the implication that Mortimer the delivery dragon might have been one of Medusa's only friends at school ;_;)
(her HIDING in his den of missing things bc it was her only safe space there ;A;)
i AWWWWED out loud at the retelling of Lyra and Medusa's meet cute.... someone tripped up Medusa (again) and Lyra was there to catch her! She fell head over heels for Lyra, literally <3
(thank u monster high people for making Lyra SO bird like she got TALONS she got WING ARMS she SING TALKS i LOVE IT)
everyone trying to eat the human dad and Apollo Wolf (now THAT is a name) using.... water skiing metaphors.... to help the head monster with child raising. he's so excited to be there and he helps but oh gosh yes please get him out of there
Frankie was MVM this ep tho.
Between spear heading the search for the next talisman, accidentally helping Duce understand his mom better (and clean his room), AND coming in clutch at the end figuring out an excuse for how Toralei got her hands on witch stuff without any of the current students being a witch- Thank you, big sparkling brain bits, you did good work tonight
also love that it took to the VERY END of the ep for Toralei to stop going after Drac and finally give her and her witchery a pass.
we see what her mom is like. we see how much it's gotta be costing her, to not only "waste" her mom's time but not even have anything to show for it. ayyyyye but the character growth is slowly kicking in! Yes.
i just stared at Drac's face a lot this ep. poor ghoul was going through it most of the time, but that last ending smirk as she fakes a ghost witch was a Treat >:D

I feel like TF2 had a really bad time in development hell for a while and the devs are just sick of it at this point. Stuff not working out, not making it to release, and simply put, not wanting to maintain any new ideas.
They had a medieval 2Fort and for the life of me, the only conclusion I can come to is they didn't want to maintain 2 separate experiences for the same game. MvM being a departure they...basically stopped work on eventually too. Hilariously, it being a horde-type game probably being what kept it going, much like with L4D from Counter-Strike.
Feels like alot of stuff at Valve just didn't work for a decade. and I think it's because nobody was forced to finish their work. And unfortunately that's just a simple aspect of creation that not everyone can handle, no restrictions. I imagine this also lead to people who did a lot of work, not getting full credit, or having their ideas superseded by essentially leaches who contributed nothing before, but have Their idea on how it should be.
That also would explain how the FUCK they canceled L4D3. What the fuck company doesn't get that shit finished one way or another? I can appreciate the freedom that Valve allows, but I think THAT should've been the moment an adult spoke up and said "This shit hasn't been working for literal decades."
I heard they stopped having as much freedom, and while on paper it was great, you HAVE to have restrictions in creation. Otherwise nothing gets done, nothing progresses, and nothing really even gets started past the initial planning process. The thing is, all we've seen is the broad end of both spectrums. One that doesn't work enough to get stuff out the door, and one that doesn't work either, but garbage at least gets out the door every week.
I'd like to see Valve just move a bit on that spectrum, not the opposite end in any way, just force people to Finish The Work they started. Like Left 4 Dead 3 for example. I can't imagine most people in the division that grew were happy that some idiots fucked all their work up entirely. I also, would have fired the idiots who wanted to move L4D3 to fuckin' Unreal or whatever. God damn morons don't know what company they're working at. Want to know the answer? You keep it on Source 2 because I wouldn't fucking buy it if it was on another fucking engine. No confidence in your own engine also paints a VERY poor image of literally EVERYTHING about the company, their engine, their work culture, god what an embarrassment.
Seriously though, I think people should probably chill on the "savetf2" stuff. I don't think that's gonna inspire anyone there to work on it anymore. Just kinda...annoy them that they can't say "Guys this was HELL to work on and almost nothing got out the door but cosmetics, failure after failure to get anything else out the door. We're tired, it's nearly been 2 decades. We aren't planning on shutting down servers or anything. Just keep playing if ya want to."
I'd much prefer a TF3 because I'm curious how they'll handle it. But I severely doubt we'll ever see another Valve big name title again. Which sucks shit, but what can ya do. The credit we can give, is outside of taking down TF2 clones they really don't need to take down, is that they at least allow people to do whatever the hell they want with their IPs. Do you think Valve was ever gonna make HL2VR? Honestly. Doubtful. The only reason Half-Life got an update is because of the SteamDeck, otherwise, that update would never have happened. They aren't interested in going back to Source anytime soon, they're jumping to Source 2.
Now there is a possibility they come back to other titles to give it the SteamDeck treatment, but I have high doubts of that either. HL was a blatantly obvious choice and Valve not having it work well for their own hardware is actually unconscionable. L4D is the embodiment of that meme with the skeleton under water, Portal doesn't really need much.
So I put forth a question I've pondered: Why is there even a Valve? It's not called ValveVR, nor ValveDeck, it wasn't a Valve Machine, or Valve controller, and Valve hasn't released a (good/playable) game since the 360 era. An update/total revision for Counter Strike is simply expected when it's their only real game success in years. So, otherwise, why is there even a Valve? Seems like they'd just morph into Steam by now. I also think it'd quell the fires of people wanting more games and updates.
I'd rather them NOT quit making games outright, but...like man, I've been playing L4D since I was at least 12yo, Half-Life since I was 3-4. I've been waiting. They've had the time to tell us what they're doing and thinking, them not telling us, feels like it's because they themselves don't even know or it's a total shit show. But when they do actually know what they're doing, they come out with confidence. Hardware and Steam has been their only confidence in decades. I'd rather have an answer to whether or not these IPs are genuinely dead, than have that carrot hanging in front of me anymore. Sure, I can ignore the carrot, but it's still there.
I think nearly 20 years is enough time for Valve to comment on...just...anything people have questions for anymore. I'm kinda sick of guessing what is even going on over there. This isn't a hate-post or anything, just a grouchy old man yelling at the sky sorta thing you've seen a million times before, just probably on the opposite spectrum of the main discussions. I don't want an update for TF2, I want an update on Valve. Not Steam, not their hardware, not specifically their IPs, Valve themselves, what the hell is going on over there.

I know your computer's on the fritz, so I'll keep my questions simpler for now.
What does Kashov's shop look like?
I've always imagined it as a food truck like situation. He has a van that opens on the side with a little extendable counter and you can see his other merchandise hanging on the wall behind him.
The main reason I envision his shop as this is because of lore reasons. First, it makes it easier to explain why he has a location right next to wherever the War Bots fighting, he just drove there.
It also supports his character. The mobile store kinda gives him a shifty quality. After all, staying in the same place as a scam artist is not safe. It just makes sense for him.
What do you think?
Oooh, okay! To be honest I haven't given it much thought yet, the placeholder in my head is basically just the TF2 MvM upgrade store but with a guy in it. Though come to think of it, I do recall vaguely having the idea of him having some kind of old west style wagon he'd use to get around, just not as his in-game shop and more as just a story element for somewhere Wilderoad could barge in through the roof of. This was also before he was demoted from playable to shopkeeper, and I've only now recently started thinking about the mission side of things again, so it's not exactly something I've given much thought since.
I do very much like this idea, though also I think his operation is so scuffed and inconsistent that on some maps he'd have occupied an existing empty room in the player spawn room, set up a rudimentary stall out of whatever scraps he could find, operates right from his vehicle like you said, or any number of random ways he'd run things quickly.
This does also remind me of another idea I had for him, this time relating to his design. Considering he doesn't exactly need to move a lot now, a funny thought I had was that he doesn't actually have legs, and is just attached to the ground via a metal stick in a hole that can slide around a pre-determined track, like a theme park animatronic. I think it'd be a funny visual, especially when you only see him over a counter most of the time, so you'd actually have to get the right angle to find out he doesn't actually have legs. Maybe he has something shaped like a roomba to hop out into and move freely in, but he generally just sticks to his little path for convenience.

Close-Ups & Message to the TF2 Community
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TF2 Is a game that’s very close to my heart; it was one of the first FPS games I’ve ever played, and my older brother and I have made so many memories together on it. From MvM to the achievement idle servers, my time spent on this game has left a huge impact on me.
I’d pull too many all nighters playing this game, and it’s heart-breaking to see the game’s state now, especially with the botting/hacker issue. I remember the first game my brother and I queued into recently had over 10 votekicks in the span of 5 minutes.
Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any support or fixes on valve’s end concerning this problem, which has led to the issue getting worse. Which is why the TF2 community has come together to bring awareness through #savetf2 😊 I’m not very active in the community — Nor do I really talk about TF2 a lot, but believe me when I say it’s a super comforting part of my childhood, as it helped introduce me to many other amazing game series such as Half-Life and Portal :-] I hope to make some more fanart for this fun game soon!
If you’ve read all of this, thank you so much. And please share your love for Team Fortress 2 with the tag #savetf2 :-D Have a wonderful day/night where ever you are! 🌻

Alternative Fortress: New weapons
These past few days, I’ve been testing a suite of new weapons for Alternative Fortress. These are mostly reskin weapons that are available through the weapon drop system, making them relatively easy to obtain. In addition, I’ve been stretching our plugin’s functionality to make tweaks to weapons not previously modified. Read on to find out what terrible things I’ve done with the Bat, Rainblower, Postal Pummeler, Nessie’s Nine Iron, and Fortified Compound. And if you’re interested, remember to join our Discord server.
Bat (+) Applies knockback on hit (-) Hit self on miss (-) -25% damage (-) No random critical hits
I based the Bat off of an Advanced Weaponiser weapon-of-the-day that I found while browsing the wiki page for the mod. In this case, it uses a knockback attribute to send you dashing forward if you hit yourself with it, particularly if you’re in the air. The mobility is extremely handy to cover wider gaps - I’m excited to see what kinds of wild jumps people can pull off.
Postal Pummeler (+) On kill with any weapon: Drop a small health kit (-) Cannot pick up health kits
Starved for ideas, I decided to remake a vanilla weapon, that being the Candy Cane. I love the team support aspect of this weapon; on the other hand, though, other people have said they’re not enthusiastic about it. It’s certainly not the flashiest one we have, but I’ll be intrigued to see if people like it, especially in our competitive-style pickup games.
Nessie’s Nine Iron (+/-) Long melee range, deploys/holsters slower (+) +70% jump height while active (+) +400% charge turn control while active (-) +15% damage vulnerability while active (-) No random critical hits
I based this off of the jumping samurai Demoknights that show up in some MvM missions. There wasn’t really a lot of creative thought put into the weapon, but as I played with it, I found that it opened up a lot of ambush opportunities and, in hands more skilled than mine, ways to charge jump. People were also... understandably surprised to see me coming at them from above. I’ll be closely watching this weapon; I suspect it’s going to be particularly powerful on some maps.
Fortified Compound (+/-) Inverse damage falloff (+) Shoots darts that can heal friendly players and buildings (+) Applies 5-second bleed on hit (-) Cannot headshot (-) -25% damage
A good idea? Maybe not, as I’ve discussed previously. But it’s certainly something unique! Whether or not you use it for healing or for attacking, you have new abilities. In my limited playtests with this, I found myself getting quite stressed as I desperately tried to land shots on my teammates - could that sink the weapon?
Rainblower (+/-) Flames have greatly increased gravity (+/-) +20 degree random flame deviation (+) +1.1 second flame lifetime
This is probably one of my favorite weapons in the entire mod. It spouts a wide torrent of flame that quickly falls to the ground, bouncing a little before dissipating. Because of the gravity, it’s best used when firing from above, but can also clear small obstacles. In all honesty, it may be quite powerful due to the long-lasting flames and wide spread, but there are thankfully things we can tweak.

Maybe it's late to talk about Scream Fortress but whatever. I'm going to talk about the new maps.
I love Scream Fortress. It's a great time with good (free) cosmetics and what made me get into tf2 in the first place. My first hour in game was spent as a very confused Heavy on Brimstone. I had fun then and I come back for the event every year.
This year, unfortunately, the game decided to test my patience.
There's a different between wanting new content and digging through garbage with the raccoons for just about anything. Every time for the past two or three years whenever they added something new, it was either boring or broken. We had absolute pearls like Laughter and Crasher, two maps that are both beautiful and fun to play. Then we had Soulmill, Bonesaw, Precipice, fucking Sinshine and Graveyard and of course, a whole bunch of uninteresting cosmetics and taunts that just happened to have many votes on the workshop.
And I know that if I wasn't a nobody on the internet, I'd already have an angry mob at my door because I dared saying community made stuff is not the very good. How dare I have an opinion on something that's in the game I've played for way too many hours.
So this year we had a crate that didn't even reach 50 cents on the market for the first evening (something that even Christmas crates manage, mind you) and not one, not four, but a whole twelve new maps to try.
For the sake of my memory and because I want to discuss the zombie mode later, I'll just go in order of whatever I remember.
Spineyard
Let's start off with yet another damn reskin. This time it's Vineyard, a map that I played once then removed from my queue because it's yet another payload map that suffers from the Overwatch condition. Wide empty areas, lots of unused hallways where you're meant to flank but you won't find anyone there because it's an open area, everyone's playing Soldier or Demo and spamming anyway. But there's more! Every once in a while you'll hear a bell and then the undead mafia shows up.
The undead mafia. On a map based on Italy. How fucking original the makers are. Congrats on being fucking boring. I hope you step on a Lego.
Also they're basically SMG Sniper bots from MvM with a bit of skeleton AI, nothing groundbreaking.
Lava Pit
This map made me wonder whether there's people out there who sit around debating which stupid maps should get a reskin next. Sawmill won the last vote, now it's the turn of the map that's only ever been good for promotional material.
So we have a map that is inaccessibility incarnate. It's dark so you can't see Blu team unless you crank up your colors to the max and the rest is lava so Red melds with the background. You can't see sentries for shit because everything is red and brown. This map gave me a migraine.
Slime
"Hey, kids! Wanna play koth with Salmon Run ripoff skeleton reskins that for some reason move at 3fps and teleport around making it impossible to aim at them?"
Yeah, fuck this map. The stupid fish spawn en masse and never stop, making it impossible to even get to the point if you're in a small team. The sea shantie never stops playing so that's added torture. The only good thing out of this is that my mini sentry was still up at the end of the match so I got 60 contract points by waiting for the game to reload the map while I was tabbed out.
I take it someone made a video explaining how to program the skeleton AI in custom maps this year. Otherwise I don't see why the workshop was hit such a wave of originality this past year.
Perks:
"Hey kids! Want to play koth but, like, less? This is the map for you!"
Why the fuck are we playing arena in 2023? Every time it takes ages to complete these contracts because you make at best 5 points per match and that's just if you're stomping the other team! I wasted too much time on this shit. May it burn in the same pit as Graveyard. Fuck play to spectate mode. Valve had a point in removing it from pubs.
Mannsylvania
Every year they add a new chokepoint fest. All you do is leave spawn and hope you don't encounter the same piece of shit who's been camping the rare spell for the past twenty minutes. It's a bunch of hallways. You run around staring at the sky like an idiot hoping that this next turn is going to make you bump in the guy with the points you keep seeing through the walls. Horrid design. Shouldn't have been added at all.
Sandcastle
I don't have much to say about this map. It's DeGroot Keep but sand. The underworld is cute but there's nothing different otherwise. It's a summer map with spells active. I played it a little longer than the others because I like medieval mode.
Corruption
I couldn't believe it at first. This is the one decent map. It's a payload map that isn't just a spam fest. It has the appropriate space for everyone, actual flanks and not just the same door slightly to the side. It forces both sides to be smart with and against buildings and charging in with uber is actually rewarded. And even better, you don't keep clipping into the clutter that's spread around the floor because ✨ aesthetics ✨ (Hello Bonesaw. Fuck you specifically). I don't get the logic behind the underworld being a mental asylum but still, a good map. It's incredible. I'd replay this one if I didn't run out of time.
Infection/L4Dvs/the zombie mode
Let's make a premise. Tf2 isn't good at explaining things. It's a game from another time where you were meant to learn through observation and a lot of trial and error. Minecraft is another game like this. You learn how to play from Youtube. But you know what Minecraft doesn't have? The projector.
In the old days, when you joined payload in quickplay for the first time, the game would show a little video with footage of the mode so you would know that Blu pushes the payload and Red tries to stop them. This zombie mode comes with a tutorial but it tells you 10% of what you're fucking supposed to do.
This is a community mode. Fine. What if I never played it? How am I supposed to know that the zombies can only…bite? Punch? It's a clunky melee attack that doesn't even feel good to land like a wrench swing or an actual punch. They don't tell you that the zombies have unique abilities. You just get a meter and then you have to figure it out. I played through all the maps and still don't know what half the classes do.
Well, obviously they're in some way based on the infected from Left4Dead, a game I often found myself thinking about while playing this mode. But what is, say, a guy who started playing the other day supposed to know about this?
Next time someone says Valve should fix the game's learning curve, I'm going to personally apply their clown makeup. This isn't 2016 to find out the latest updates from VNN.
What about the maps?
Murky
Red sits on a little platform surrounded by sentries. It's pitch dark next to the water so you have no way to even get close enough to look at it as a zombie. 60% of the map is unused. The grass is annoying as hell. I left as soon as the contract was finished because fuck.
Woods
The famous wild turtle engineer evolves into a skunk engineer by hiding in a mine with two small entrances crying and whimpering while the level 3 sentry delays the inevitable. What these players fail to realize is that the sentry doesn't shoot faster depending on how much meat throws itself at it. They're simply wasting everybody's time and for this…they should really feel bad.
Atoll
This map manages to be worse than Murky entirely because of the broken hitboxes. I've bumped into several invisible obstacles. Atoll gets the "Bonesaw of the Year" award entirely because I died to fake gaps and platforms with questionable tangibility.
Devastation
The spirits of Bonesaw and Lavapit came together to have a child named Devastation.
This map is too dark. There are corners where you can only spot players because of their cosmetics. Sometimes zombies have to simply walk into the whole Red team and die because they spawned in a place with only one exit and some zombie classes simply don't get to use their ability here because the rooms are too small. The only good thing about this mess is that it bugged out and Red won the round as soon as it started. 30 points with no effort at all. That saved me precious time.
Sanitarium
I kept the best one for last because it's the one I actually enjoyed playing. The setting isn't too dark for once, the inside of a building isn't covered with assets from Mann Manor and it actually feels like a location from a zombie game. You'd expect hordes of rabid Left4Dead infected charging at you from the front yard, past the reception and in every room up to the top floor.
You can't keep a sentry down here for too long either, meaning that everyone has to actually play the game and there is no one just stalling for time and I've seen people have a lot of fun messing around in the elevator.
The only negative I can think of is that it could have used some more polish. The elevator uses a noise that I think comes from Half Life which distracted me because I'm weird like that. But it's a Source noise™️, it's not that big of a deal. The more glaring flaw were the floating zombie skins around the map and the console commands popping up in the chat. It doesn't look great but hey, Bonesaw dropped without a playable objective, didn't it? There’s always worse.
In conclusion, I guess we got 12 maps because Valve noticed that there isn't as much junk to throw in the crates as it used to and is adding gamemodes to make people shut the hell up. The zombie mode left me craving for L4D2 but I don't have as many people to play it with anymore. The other maps were the usual random crap they've been tossing in the game for the past few years. There was nothing really outstanding from the regular gamemodes visually but it was refreshing to get a good experience gameplay wise instead of something that only looks good in screenshots.
I hope we can go back to having a reasonable amount of maps added next year. Less is more these days of games diluting the experience so you stick around to buy the next season pass. Tf2 has no right, nor does it need these practices. It's a good game at the core without gachas or similar crap.
Also, the Toastmaster hasn't been broken for 0 days.

Re: Machines Don't Bleed trilogy brainrot
It's not even been a week since I finished this fic series and I'm still thinking about it. God the characters are written so well that my mind is REELING
I'm gonna let my 2:30 am brain do the work here so hopefully I cover everything I wanted to last time but clearly didn't get a chance to.
(I'm going to ramble, no spoilers about the fics though so you should be fine if you choose to keep reading under the cut)
This fic was written in like 2012?? Which is before The Naked and the Dead was released, so there are a lot of discrepancies from canon. But for a fic written in the 2010s (Machines Don't Bleed was completed in 2017) it really holds up well. I'm not a fan of some of the language they use in certain cases, but I think it might be for the sake of adhering to the time period the fics take place in.
It starts with Eight Mercenaries and a Toddler, in which the respawn system kinda glitches and Scout is turned into a toddler. It starts fluffy and then becomes more and more serious as it goes on, delving into Spy's (really dark) backstory and the consequences of trying to hide the Scout incident from the Administrator.
Second part is where the series starts to become very Sniper + Spy (idk if they're a ship honestly. it's written as platonic but you could totally interpret it as romantic) centric. The basic gist of it is that the Administrator let the mercs (and Pauling) have a holiday break and Spy has nowhere to go, so Sniper invites him over to spend the holidays with his (Sniper's) family. Again, starts off lighthearted and gets more and more serious the further you read.
Third part - my personal favorite, simply because of the way everything comes together - is where Gray Mann takes over Mann Co. and tries to take over the world (this takes place roughly Cold War-era) while trying to steal all the Australium so he can live forever. It's basically MvM/The Naked and the Dead but with a (really fucking good) twist. And a lot of Sniper + Spy bromance content. It is still very Sniper + Spy centric, but the other mercs and some OCs get their time to shine as well. If I talk any more about this last fic I'm going to spoil the whole thing and also continue to go livid over the series -
As someone who does not ship Sniper x Spy before and after reading this fic series, it made me warm up a lot more to the idea. Like hell yeah, they're gay for each other and also best pals at the same time. Their relationship goes behind labels.
I mentioned OCs before and yeah. The OCs are written very well and they slide right in to the plot smoothly! Blake Porter is probably my favorite of the OCs introduced in the story.
Oh wow I'm getting sleepy maybe I'll talk more about it another day

TL;DR: Clawd Wolf’s Journal (2010)
Sorry I haven’t posted in past few days, I’ve been packing so I can move- and I’ve been ordering more Monster High Diaries to recap on here!
Clawd’s Journal can summarized as-
September the 18th- Clawd gets tackled by a goblin who stinks like shit he explains a lot of football related stuff but I have negative knowledge about sports so I don’t wanna say something happened when it didn’t- but his team won and he was like “Lol get rekt” to the goblin. He complains about stinking like the goblin for the rest of the journal.
September the 21st- Rockseena (Clawd’s gargoyle bulldog) chewed up Clawdeen’s shoes and he pays her back. Though this just raises the Goofy-Pluto issue with there being gargoyles like Rochelle, then pet gargoyles like her pet and Rockseena.
October the 1st- Clawd sheds a shit ton so he goes to a specialized doctor for fur (which love the world-building btw) and he’s like “Nothing I can do, at least you’re not bald!” And just recommends a group therapy full of werewolves suffering from fur loss.
October the 7th- Spectra starts stirring up old shit by telling everyone in school about Cleo and Clawd’s past relationship. Clawd calls her out on her bullshit and then she starts crying and bitching to everyone in school, trying to get everyone on her side. They go to the Headmistress and just like every principal ever is just like “Hey person who started this- stop. Also the person who didn’t start it and is the victim is now guilty for some bullshit reason.” Spectra seems like the type to start shit for no reason and bitch to everyone about problems she started tbh. Who starts gossiping and then calls the victim a “dumb jock” for telling you to stfu?
October the 12th- Headmistress Bloodgood makes the whole school do this project on their family lineage so they can put them all in a book and pass it out to students. The Wolf’s lineage apparently is all in this book called the Valde Lupus Libri but there are parts Clawd isn’t allowed to read until he has his own pack. The secret to the feud between vampires and werewolves in this universe is also in there.
October the 18th- Clawdeen starts going after Cleo because she thinks she broke Clawd’s heart when they broke up which leads to the most serious moment in all of the diaries to this point- Clawd explains what happened between him and Cleo. Basically they were just dating because they liked the attention that came from the head fearleader and the MVM (Most Valuable Monster) on the football were dating. They never really had a spark but were (and still are) friends. They stayed together to avoid the drama and were too busy to deal with the stress. Eventually they both decided to break it off when Deuce and Cleo started getting more chemistry. Cleo tells everyone that she broke up with Clawd so she wouldn’t be the head fearleader that got rejected. They both regret the relationship and their choices around it, and if you want a slightly more serious and mature moment in the MH franchise I would definitely suggest reading the full thing.
October the 25th- Clawd is out for a drive after coming from the library and picks up Draculaura from the rain. (Much more romantic and cute than I put it here)
I really like how much the writing has progressed over these diaries. When I first read Cleo’s and Deuce’s diaries I thought they would be too bland and everything would feel like it wasn’t written by an actual person. Though now I think they’ve found some footing and know at least how to make the diaries engaging and realistic. Not saying we need complete drama and seriousness from Monster High but a sprinkling every entry or so really feels like a treat for those who want to learn more about the lore and characters :)
If I had to pick a favorite diary to read so far, Clawd is definitely at the top of my list! Stay tuned for my read-through of Holt Hyde’s Journal! ;)
Also here’s an extra image I couldn’t include in the read-through, Clawd’s love for little Rockseena is adorable

FACEIT, TF2, and YOU: What it is, how to play, etc
Tumblr media
So you’ve heard of the hit new thing coming to TF2 but you don’t know what the heck its all about? Or maybe you’re trying to figure out how to use FACEIT to play Team Fortress 2? This is the guide for you.
For those of you interested in signing up, consider using this link. For those of you looking to learn more, please read under the cut. I’ll be giving a detailed explanation of what FACEIT is, what it means for TF2, and how to queue.
Ok, so first thing’s first: what is FACEIT?
FACEIT is an Esports company founded in 2012. It has been hosting leagues and community matchmaking for games like CS:GO and Dota 2 for a while. But this isn’t really too important in the grand scheme. What you need to know is that FACEIT has taken an interest in creating a skill-based, cheat free, matchmaking platform for casual Team Fortress 2.
What this means is that after the closed beta for TF2 ends later this month (March), you will be able to queue into community maps hosted by FACEIT. These servers are heavily monitored with anti cheats so that they will not be infiltrated by hackers and bots which have currently been the plague of Casual Team Fortress 2.
Currently, FACEIT boasts zero bots, zero hackers, skill-based matchmaking, free prizes (australium weapons and rare cosmetics), no autobalance, no random crits, no random bullet spread, and more.
You can learn more about these things in plenty of youtube videos like these:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvfEmlJ_N48
But what does FACEIT mean for TF2? FACEIT poses a chance for TF2 players to experience a more serious casual setting without the current issues plaguing the game. It also means that TF2′s community could grow. Potentially, if FACEIT goes well, Valve could be inclined to improve the future of the game.
FACEIT currently is one of the best options for people who like playing TF2 seriously. It’s not technically competitive, but it is a more competitive way to play. Consider it like playing something like Competitive Overwatch casually. You should take the game seriously, not play as a friendly, and not abandon the game.
If you’re someone who wants more from your TF2 experience and want a challenge, this could be for you! That being said, I caution that it isn’t for everyone. It’s a very different way to play TF2 than a standard causal game is. Maybe give it a try and see if you like it!
-o-
So how all does it work from the technical side of things? How do you play?
Well, I’ve got the guide for you! (This will get long, I’m sorry).
Currently (3/14) the client only offers a closed beta. To get access you will need to be invited by FACEIT to the closed beta. However, you may be able to get access to this by inviting a friend (I’m not 100% sure).
If you have full access, or this is written after the closed beta has ended and the client opens to the general public: start here.
First thing’s first. When you download the client, it may require you to verify your email and phone number before you can queue. This is a component of the anti-cheat. Additionally, it may require that you download the anti-cheat software (this will require a PC restart). I suggest downloading it regardless of it is required. This is merely to help prevent the infiltration of hackers and bots.
Tumblr media
The anti-cheat download can be found in the bottom left of your screen. Just download the software and make sure you log in afterwards via the same button once it has been successfully downloaded. NOTE: you cannot install the anti-cheat with TF2 or another game open.
Once this is setup, you should be able to queue with no issues.
Tumblr media
From the play menu, you can queue for Solo or Team games of matchmaking 12v12 TF2. It will let you know how many players are currently queuing for the game mode if you hover (hence 21 in this screenshot).
Tumblr media
There are currently 8 available maps. You can select your preferences here. However, much like in competitive game lobbies, you will have the option to vote for the map chosen for the match. I’ll come back to this in a moment. For now, you need to know how to make sure you make it into a match.
Tumblr media
When a match is ready, there is a VERY short period of time to accept the match. Less than 30 seconds to hit accept. If you miss this window, you will have to requeue. If someone else misses this window, you will automatically requeue. The client will automatically play a loud trumpet flourish and you just hit the button to check in. This is to ensure no inactive players and afks.
Tumblr media
This is what the window looks like when you’re accepted into a game and the maps are still being chosen. Team leaders (priority towards people with premium passes) will choose and select a map for the game to be played on. If you’re not a team leader, you can request that certain maps be played or not played.
Tumblr media
After the map has been chosen, you will be provided an IP address to paste into your developer console in TF2. If you don’t know how to enable your developer console, please follow this guide.
You have less than 3 minutes to connect into the match. If you make it in during this time, you will be partaking in a few moments of warmup. It’s just like pre-game in Casual TF2 servers. From here, the game functions similar to competitive. One team attacks and sets a standard. The other only has to beat that standard time or amount of points capped etc. (I believe that KOTH maps are best out of 5).
If at any point your team is really getting beaten and you feel the need to forfeit. You can type “!gg” in the chat and a vote to forfeit will start.
If you leave the match early, you will be penalized. So you should really only queue up if you have an interest in completing the game. Even if it goes poorly, you should stick it out or use !gg.
Once the match ends, it will automatically close. Similar to an MvM lobby!
As you play, you’ll be able to work towards points to win prizes (they’re expensive but still possible to get!) as you play the game. Here’s an example of some of the prizes.
Tumblr media
There are also missions to help you unlock points. Here are some examples of those:
Tumblr media
You will also be able to rank up and unlock points that way. Newer players will have to work up through the ranks. The XP to earn these rank ups comes from playing the game. You can earn your way to the Face Melting rank just by playing the game.
Tumblr media
An example of how the ranking system currently works is shown here from Big Joey’s youtube video.
Tumblr media
As you can see, the higher ranks will be based on your skill as a player. There are also other things in FACEIT such as ladders and tournaments. These are more complicated and explorable on the actual site or platform itself. So I’ll let you guys check that out on your own.
Overall, there are a lot of fun things about FACEIT! Hopefully this guide helped you understand what it is, how to play, and what there is about it. Please let me know if you have any targeted questions about it in my inbox and I’ll be sure to help provide any info I can.
Have fun y’all and give it a try! This is a cool alternative to casual play.

Surprisingly Familiar Ch 1
The first chapter of the sequel to Summoning Family. I'm going to be working on my scattered au fic more, but you might still see some chapters of this scattered around
@petrichormeraki made the hermit!Tommy au, and @helleborusangel did amazing rambles for the chapters of Summoning Family.
Now, Let's see how things have gone since the ending of Summoning Family.
It had been eleven days since Grum’s birthday and now it was Jrum’s. He was excited by the party, playing games and trying to scam people of their diamonds. Cake was nice, his mask getting a special cake of his own with diamonds since Grum had gotten the same. And then it came to presents.
Jrum was especially happy at any toys he got and glad if he was just getting diamonds. Kokatori had also managed to get another ribbon around its neck and try to be a present again. Jrum wasn’t the most pleased about that since he was still coping with everything that happened with the egg, but he still took the present before handing them off to Grum.
Just as the presents were just about all gone, two more were placed on the table, each one with a different label. Jrum went to grab the last present when he saw the new ones being placed, so he looked up at who was putting them down, surprised to see an unfamiliar face. “Um, who are you?”
The question made everyone look over, most people looking confused, but three people had different reactions. Phil looked surprised, recognizing the man. Grian was also surprised, but also awestruck. Lastly, in Grum’s arms, Kokatori hissed.
“What the heck are you doing here? Who even let you in?” Phil asked, walking over to the man.
“I let myself in. I mean, I sort of already had permission to be here, just never used it. Building big was never really my thing.”
“Who are you then?” It was Scar who spoke up. The person looked at a few of the hermits who seemed to also look as confused as Scar sounded.
“I think the beard is messing with them.” Phil said, elbowing the man, who then ran a hand through his beard.
“Right, spend a month on an abandoned island and then get captured by pirates and you can’t really do much for that. Anyone got a raz...or…” he trailed off as Jrum pulled out some special shears. He was stunned by the bot having such a thing, but took them with a thank you and stepped out of the room.
After a few minutes, he stepped back in, and immediately some of the hermits were no longer confused. “Oh my god, it’s been so long!” Bdubs was the first to say, going over to the man. “What have you been up to!”
“Eh, mainly family. You’ve been working with someone named Scar?” Bdubs nodded and gestured to the mayor. “Got it. Nice to meet you.” He moved over to Doc. “And how about you? How’s the family life?”
“Eh, some days are always better than others, I haven’t been around here as often because of it. What about you?”
“Well, the kids are all grown up at this point, I’ve got more time on my hands so I’ve gone back to filming.”
Doc nodded. “Sounds good to me. I’ve got to tell you more about what we did last season.”
“I’m sure you do.” The man chuckled, moving over to Keralis. “Hey, can’t wait to see your city. The pictures seemed crazy enough. I can’t believe you built all that.”
“Why spank you, but I have had help with designs.”
“Yeah. And you said you own it with someone named Cleo now?”
“Yes, in fact, she’s got a relative that is in Bub’s troop last I checked.”
Cleo spoke up at this point. “Yep! Got an order in for popcorn just the other day.”
“Nice to hear. By the way, Etho’s behind me, isn’t he?” The hermits unfamiliar with the man were surprised by that comment, as Etho was indeed behind him. Pretty much no one could tell when Etho was sneaking around, so this new person doing it was very shocking. “I’ll be asking everyone about your shops so I can stay awake from them.”
“Oh come on, some of them would be fun for a survivor like you. In fact we could get Tango to open up decked out for a session for you.”
“Right, sure Etho. Now is Beef around?”
“No actually. He had something really important come up.” Etho answered, another hermit nodding to agree with the statement.
“Ah, that’s too bad. Well, I guess the only person left to greet is ol’ rap battle over here.”
Wels suddenly looked embarrassed. “Oh that’s why you look familiar. You’re the OBP leader.”
“Yeah.” The man nodded. “You know green wasn’t really your c-”
“Please don’t bring that up again.”
The man laughed. “Alright, I won’t.” He then looked at the rest of the hermits. “Well, I think I know a few of you from the letters I’ve gotten from these guys.” And he gestured to the hermits he had been talking to. “Like I know Scar and Cleo now, then TFC and Xisuma I’m familiar with, also Zedaph.”
“Yeah, so who are you exactly?” Mumbo spoke up. “While I’m glad you’ve come to celebrate Jrum’s birthday, I’m not familiar with you.”
“Right, forgot to give my name I guess.” The man started to say. “I’m-”
Grian cut him off. “You’re the Soarvivor Paul! I remember watching your shows when I was in highschool! I had some friends at my school in England who went to an event of yours!”
“Wait, this is Paul?” Scar spoke up. “I’ve heard a lot of stories about him from Doc and Bdubs.”
Paul smiled at that. “Yep, that would be me.”
Grian took over the conversation again. “So wait, you said you were recording again, are you making MvM again?”
Instead of answering happily like Paul had to everyone else, he just gave Grian a bit of a nod before giving him the cold shoulder.
“Wait, are you that uncle Phil’s always talking about?” Tommy asked. He had stayed out of the conversation when he had no clue what was going on, but now that he recognized the name, he had some things to say. “The one he always complains always uses letters instead of a phone call or texting.”
Paul nodded. “Yeah, that would be me. Letters are the most reliable when you’ve got a job like mine.”
“Then stick to a comm then Paul.” Doc said, resting his arm on Paul's shoulder. “I’ve offered to make you a special one who knows how many times. I’m sure your kids wouldn’t mind it either.”
“Why do I feel like I’m still missing something?” Tommy spoke up again, Doc explaining for him.
“A number of us hung out with Paul in the past. Most of us he knows from the old Minecrack worlds, but he met Keralis on some other worlds.”
“Yeah, and met Wels when we were dealing with an apocalypse world. Beef was there too.” Paul sighed. “So Phil, what’s your family been getting up to other than the obvious?”
“Well, Tommy’s actually living in hermitcraft now.” Phil answered. “Wilbur’s getting through some things, and Techno’s trying to keep up his hardened warrior mask, but Grian’s kid is making that hard.”
“Well, this group seems to have that effect on people.” Paul nodded. “And how’ve they been doing with Xelqua?” Paul jabbed a finger on Grian’s direction.
“Right, shit, forgot to say that part. Grian is Xelqua.” Phil quickly explained, Paul’s mouth turning to a small ‘o’.
“Ah, I guess that explains that war and the hippies I heard about in letters. At least It’s a little tamer in a world like this.” Most of the people in the room were confused, and at first Grian was one of them, but then he made a connection and his legs were suddenly struggling to keep him up. “He has told you about Tokyo, right?”
Before anyone could answer, Kokatori was hissing in Grum’s arms again, drawing Paul’s attention. He pulled out a stone sword and immediately the hermits that knew Paul were holding him back. “No! Hey! Paul, that is a kid’s pet!” Bdubs said. “I know you don’t like them but that’s like the one chicken you’re not allowed to kill!”
“Just get him a pet other than a chicken! You can’t trust a chicken! They’re spies, killers and thieves.”
“Killer chickens?” Wels, who wasn’t holding Paul back, asked.
“Oh no, he’s telling the truth about that.” Doc answered. “I saw it for myself.”
“How do you get killed by a fucking chicken?” Tommy asked.
“You forget to kill it first.” Paul answered, finally putting his sword away. “Well, you said that kid’s one of Xel’s.”
“One of Grian’s.” Phil corrected. “And yes. That’s Grumbot, or Grum, the older of the two. His birthday was a week and a half ago.”
“Well, figures they’d just try causing more problems.”
Phil rolled his eyes and then grabbed Paul’s arm. “Alright, you and I. Talk. Now.”
When Phil and Paul had left the room, Grian finally allowed himself to go to the floor. The hermits that knew Paul were immediately apologizing for him, not sure why he was acting that way. But Grian knew. And Mumbo helped Grian up, pretty sure he knew too. “I’m going to help Grian lie down. Grum, maybe I should take Kokatori with me so they don’t cause more problems.”
Grum nodded and handed the chicken over, it being very upset about being moved and pecking at Mumbo’s arms. But he was too worried about Grian to let that stop him. So soon they had left the room too.
For a while, everything was silent. But then Jrum spoke up. “Well, for my birthday, I want to eavesdrop! And no one can stop me!” And he ran off to listen into Phil and Paul’s conversation, leaving the rest of the party members confused on what to do.

"Sirius," You stomp into the living room, finding your boyfriend reclined in a crop top and sweatpants against the couch cushions, "My stomach hurts."
A lazy smile breaks out over his face, "Oh no. Could it be because you downed three cookies earlier even when I told you they had a lot of sugar in them?"
"My cookie habits are none of your business," You huff, and it's like Sirius can see frosting still smeared over your lips, "Just tell me how to fix it, Doctor."
"Water," He instructs, "Tums. And rest. Don't move around too much, why don't you come lay with me?"
You rifle through the cabinet above your microwave, pulling out a jar of Tums and crunching two of them. There's a half-empty glass of water you'd left on the counter from lunch, and you grab it to wash away the chalky tablets as you make your way to the couch.
"Does American Psycho cure stomachaches?" You wonder, surveying the screen with a quick glance as you settle into Sirius's side.
"No," He hums, leaning over to press a kiss to your temple, "But trying to figure out the ending might give you a headache."

Thanks @bunny-hoodlum for the tag. Also it’s just great to hear from you in general lol
Rules: Answer 30 questions and tag 20 blogs you are contractually obligated to get to know better. (No, I do not know 20 people)
Name: Josh
Gender: Male
Star Sign: Aquarius, I looked it up recently (to argue about how unnecessary and dumb horoscopes are), and I’m Gemini moon. That’s still meaningless, though. Horoscopes are intentionally vague so everything they say about a person with a specific birthday will line up at least somewhat. Don’t label me based on that bullshit.
Height: 6′
Time: 9:12 PM EST
Birthday: Feb 5th
Favorite Bands: We’ll go by most listened to. Green Day, A Day to Remember, blink-182, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Cranberries, Juice WRLD, JunkBunny, Dwarves, The Bouncing Souls, Movements, The Casualties, Grayscale, Dethklok, Black Sabbath, Sum 41, Senses Fail, Silverstein, Taking Back Sunday (I have named very few for the sake of my fingers, lol)

What I post: Whatever the fuck I want!! Mostly just anime gifs I like lol. And my own music!!
Last thing I googled: australium drop rate mvm tf2 (I’ve been playing TF2 a lot today)
Other blogs: None, what you see is what you get. I’m not interesting or patient enough to dedicate a blog to anything specific
Do I get asks: When I ask for them in ask games lol, otherwise though none. Which is a bummer cause I like talking to people lmao
Why I chose my URL: I use it for everything
Following: 168
Followers: 61

Instruments: Guitar, bass and synthesizers. I’m solid at tambourine, too
What am I wearing: A flannel shirt and black pants

Dream Trip: A trip where I can go anywhere, whenever I want. I want to roam the Earth, sail the seas and fly through the skies
Favorite Foods: Too many! I love seafood, I’m a huge fan of the classics, hot sauce rings through my blood and I especially love chicken wings. Ethnic foods are especially good. More specifics? Alright, my all-time favorite is nachos. I’m a fucking whiz-kid when it comes to making a dope plate of nachos. Never accept any limitations. If you think it’d be good on a base of cheese and chips, TRY IT.
Last Book I Read: The Recording Engineer’s Handbook by Bobby Owsinski
Top 3 Fictional Universe I'd Like to Live In: uhhhhhh. Black Sails. I can’t name three

What's going on with tf2 and bots? I'm out of the loop but I was thinking of getting back into playing it
TF2 as of the last couple months has a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE bot problem. you genuinely can’t go one match without at LEAST three of these chucklefucks joining, being annoying, and getting kicked all in the same 40 seconds. common bot features are multiple of the following:
using hacks like aimbot or instant backstabs, there’s also a lot of Heavy bots lately for some reason?? they just play heavy and spam the russian national anthem on mic and yell POOT DESPENSER HEER constantly, i’m only half sure they’re using game hacks but not 100%
spamming in chat and/or in their mic with extremely racist and homophobic things (IE, in one match today one came in blasting a VERRRRYYY racist song cover of the ducktales theme. i’d post (censored) screenshots of the shit they say in chat but i don’t want to give them attention and jeez this shit might get me banned its so bad, even if i cross half of it out)
some bots exist only to use and promote game hacks, spamming chat with COME GET OUR HACKS THEY WORK HERE’S OUR WEBSITE
broadcasting very high frequency sounds over mic, ouchie
putting huge blocks of empty text in chat to either A) drown out legitimate communications between the real players, or 2) end it with a [VAC] So-and-so has been detected cheating! kick them! that almost looks legitimate since the empty space pushes their username out of view
micspamming?? religious talks?? ????????? what is that called when you stand in front of people and convince them to Believe In The Lord Or Else?? it’s like a TED talk but worse. and they spam it.
plugging discord servers where they supposedly post,,, illegal images. that’s all i’ll speak of that lol
i think there’s a couple more but that’s the big stuff i’ve seen in the last week. we’re at the point where people kick the bots almost immediately, but if there’s more than one or two in a server it leads to trouble - you can only run a vote to kick one player at a time, and they’re programmed to always vote “no” if a vote is being called to kick someone. they can also call counter votes apparently?? so if you’re like me and you end up in a match with about 12 people, literally half of which are these bots, and you try to kick them... they kick you instead. oh! and some are programmed to leave if the vote starts going against their favor, because if you get kicked for cheating you get banned and i’m sure there’s only so many official valve servers out there. leave before the vote finishes, you dont get banned. crappy!
if you wanna play TF2 right now, either play community (difficult, since most community maps these days run custom maps u . u) or get used to our newfound bot overlords.
or play Mann VS Machine, and fight some real robots instead xD i’ve never seen a single one of these bots in a MVM game
edit - forgot to mention! valve probably already knows about this. but given that nobody at valve is working on TF2 right now, and the fact that it’s already been a month or two and these guys are still running rampant,,,, it might not be fixed for a loooooooooong time. this might just be life for us TF2 fans now. no comic 7, rampant bot problems, dwindling player base, no update in two years. gaben help us all.

Wednesday will be continuing off with Halo: CE. This game really does frustrate me so you’ll probably get to see me rage a little bit.
Friday will be #FridaysWithFriends and I’ll be playing Team Fortress 2 on MvM (Mann vs Machine) maps!
Additional information can be found on my graphic!
We got a lot of different games this week so I hope to see you there while on the path to Affiliate!
