Yeah so i started a new medication to bring my resting heart rate down and uh. I had a Super Official meeting today with total strangers and I felt barely any anxiety. Like fr are you going to tell me that 20+ years of social anxiety and stagefright has just been. My fucking pulse.
#the human body is incredible and by that i mean fucked up beyond repair#for reference i thought i was having heart issues but got like every test done#and the only thing that was wrong was that my resting heart rate was at like 114#and the doctor was like yea thats not actually dangerous but tou can take these meds to see if you feel better#and ????#like were gonna do a holter later just in case but apparently there is absolutely nothing that indicates#any kind of issue#like i have slight arrythmia sometimes but nothing dangerous#apparently most people gave that at somw points

Captain’s log, number 197.
Well, it finally happened. They warned me it would when I took humans aboard, but I didn’t believe them.
The humans have threatened mutiny over an object they have pack-bonded with.
A few cycles ago, one of the humans placed ... decorative items ... what are they called? “googling eyes?” upon one of the maintanence drones. While against procedure, this seemed to be amusing to the humans and I let them have this bit of enrichment to their environment.
Last cycle another human, or perhaps the same one, I haven’t been able to get a clear answer on who did it, decided to expand upon this decoration with the addition of black bonding tape, cut into shapes the humans find very amusing.

In another cycle we will be docking at space-station 114-Hartnell for our annual maintanence and reguation-compliance inspection. I need not say how we must be reguation compliant in order to maintain our trade lisence with the alliance.
This would, of course, include that all maintanence drones are kept up to code. So I ordered the humans to remove the decorations.

Their reaction.
They named him.
It! I meant to say, they named it.
They stated, and I quote, “You will not touch one hair of Robert Floor-Buffington the third, captain, or there’ll be a problem!”
They’ve made up stories! Robert Floor-Buffington, he’s a humble, but hard working space bot, who just wants to do right for his a robot wife, and robot children!
It’s a maintanence drone! Identical to the hundred other maintanence drones we have on board.
But the humans they’re insane!
They just will not be moved on this issue.
... Maybe I can pursuade them to just ensure this Robert Floor-Buffington is kept out of the inspectors way. We have a hundred identical models, surely they won’t notice that one is missing?
***Log paused for incoming message***
Captains log addendum.
Perhaps the inspectors will not notice four maintanence drones are missing.
The humans have decided to decorate three other drones and have taken to referring to them as the “wife and two children of Robert-Floor Buffington the third.”
At this time, there is a heated debate occuring in storage bay three over what the names of this robot family will be.

Additional. I have over two-hundred days of shore-leave accrued. I think I’ll be making good use of that in the near future.

the absolute ordeal i just went through trying to book tickets to the wembley production of Newsies.. you could not even imagine
#i JUST wanted two tickets now im on hold with the bank to complain about disney stealing £114 from me#i was in the moment the presale tickets went live but so was everyone else so the servers kept crashing#and after refreshing and refreshing i EVENTUALLY got two tickets in my basket#filled in the info gave them my details#clicked ‘confirm purchase’#spinning wheel went round and round#big error message ‘sorry! something has gone wrong! we have been notified’#no other info no other detail or explanations#so i go. well. guess the sale didn’t work. stupid server overload ok well i’ll just go back and buy different ones.#so i do i go and buy more. but STOP now it says i can’t buy them because there’s already a transaction in process. but. i can’t see that.#i’ve got no way of checking that. all i saw was that there was an error.#so i steal my mum’s phone and buy different ones on there all works all goes smoothly and THIS time i get a ticket confirmation email so 👍#but then i go to look in my bank account!!! and!!!! they charged me twice!!!!#so that sale got as far as taking my money but not as far as confirming the booking 🤦🏻♀️#@ disney give me that money back or so help me-#it was 100% an issue on their end and the error message said they had been notified so hopefully they will give me a refund

Stranger Things and Netflix are trying to capitalize off the Holocaust.
No, this is not a joke. This is not a stretch of the imagination. And no, I’m not putting a read-more on this post because it deserves a full look-through. This is happening in Lithuania, right now, where Netflix has turned a former Nazi prison into a Stranger Things themed hotel.
Yes, you read that right. Just a quick Google search will confirm its existence. The Lukiškės Prison in Vilnius, Lithuania is a former Nazi prison. In a country that already tries to erase it’s involvement with the Holocaust (I’m still talking about Lithuania), this offense is particularly egregious.

It has come to the attention of the Jewish and Rroma community that the new season for Stranger Things was filmed in the Lukiškės prison in Lithuania. Though having functioned as a prison centuries before, it became notorious during WWII for it's Nazi involvement and the kidnapping, imprisonment, and torture of about 100,000 Jews, Rroma, and political prisoners.
To make matters worse, Stranger Things and Netflix have both agreed to turn Lukiškės into a fully functioning hotel, ran by Airbnb, where visitors can spend the night in themed cells, tour the Stranger Things themed building, and make waffles. The price ranges from about €104-114 a night and it was said to start it's function June 4th.
Fans of Stranger Things are now getting numerical tattoos on their arms because they are inspired by the show, the Stranger Things Instagram has even reposted photos their fans have submitted; thus encouraging their behavior. Not only does this mock the shared trauma of the Jewish and Rroma community, but it further desecrates the living memories of Holocaust survivors (a significant portion are alive today) and their descendants.
Lithuania is already known for their outright denial of their participation in the Holocaust and their allyship with the Nazis. Lithuania turned Seventh Fort, a concentration camp responsible for one of the worst mass killings in Lithuanian history, into a wedding venue. A Nazi prison where Jews, Rroma, and political kid prisoners were kidnapped, starved, imprisoned, and tortured is now a wedding venue.
We refuse to let this continue.
We, Jews and Rroma, call you to sign this petition and hold Stranger Things and Netflix accountable for their Holocaust erasure. Money earned from this season should be put back into the Jewish and Rromani communities of Lithuania as reparations for the damage this season is causing and a public apology from Airbnb, Netflix, and Stranger Things should be issued immediately with a full understanding as to how this adds to the erasure of the victims of the Holocaust and the ongoing persecution of Romani communities. We also demand the immediate shut down of the Airbnb.
We will not be erased. The Holocaust is not for the entertainment industry to build wealth off of and turn into theatre. It is our genocide and for Rroma it is ongoing.
We hope to reach out to current Jewish and Rroma communities in Lithuania in hopes of help for accountability. Either way, sharing this petition, signing it, and donating to the Jewish and Romani organizations and charities below would be a great help! Thank you!

Roman Coin Hoard Found in England Sells at Auction
A hoard of Roman coins discovered by a metal detectorist scouring farmland has fetched more than £15,000 after going under the hammer.
More than 430 coins were found buried in the village of Colkirk, near Fakenham, Norfolk.
A collection of 73 pieces, including an extremely rare coin featuring a phoenix on a globe, was auctioned in London.
The anonymous finder had shown "perseverance", said coin specialist Nigel Mills, from Noonans auctioneers.
"Some of the people I've spoken to recently, who have found some amazing finds, are spending a lot of time detecting - hours and hours - and they don't give up," he said.
"They keep going and that's the secret in so many things - don't give up, keep looking."
The Colkirk hoard, believed to date back to the early 5th Century, was spread out across a third of an acre on arable farmland, although the majority of finds were discovered in a 1.5m (59in) radius.
It was a lucky find for the detectorist, who had no idea the soil held such treasures.
They were out searching a field in January 2020 when they spotted a silver coin, which they recognised as a siliqua - a small, thin Roman coin.
It sparked a haul of 40 coins that day, with a further 40 found on the following one.
Covid lockdowns meant searches became more sporadic, but each discovery was logged with a portable GPS unit to accurately pinpoint the hoard's distribution.
In all, 315 coins were found in 2020, 114 in 2021 and three in 2022.
Some of the coins had been damaged, while others were fragmented due to farming processes.
A commemorative Third Miliarensis coin issued by Emperor Theodosius, decorated with a phoenix on one side, was only the fifth one of its type known to exist, with all the others in museums.
It reached £3,400 at the sale in Mayfair.
Mr Mills said: "The hoard had [been] spread out over a third of an acre through disturbance by ploughing and has been recorded under the Treasure Act.
"The hoard is likely to have been deposited at the beginning of the 5th Century AD, with the latest coin of Honorius dating no later than 402 AD.
"Other Roman treasure finds of gold and silver also from East Anglia, such as the Hoxne and Thetford hoards, reflect the wealth and importance of the area."
