I am reviving the child I killed in church. I choked the holy rebellion out of that child in centuries-old pews and the cramped chairs of my old school's cafeteria when the first church wouldn't do. I worshipped false gods, Behavior and Belonging. I pretended at godly womanhood at 13 because I could not be that angry, bloody-knuckled, righteous child anymore. It hurt too much.

I failed my new gods miserably, but that didn't stop me for years. I was not palatable. I could not be delicious to those who would devour me whole, so I kept devouring myself and tried again. I was Prometheus and his eagles together in one flesh. I denied myself my fire with religious zeal. I would save the ending world and the world would let me--if I could only learn what sweater to buy and how to straighten my hair.

God, I never should have rejected my rage. Restore my heart.

They say it's a man's world

But who suffers the most?

Women, blamed for things

That are not even their fault..

Expected to play a certain role

To please, to serve, to give it all,

But what about our own dreams

Our own aspirations, our own goals?

Marriage is not just our responsibility

It takes two to make a promise,

Why do we have to suffer alone

While they roam free, taking advantage?

When they cheat, they expect us to forgive,

To forget the pain they caused us.

But what if the tables were turned,

And we were the ones who broke their trust?

Would we be called a slut, a whore,

A label we didn't deserve..

But when they cheat, they get a pass,

As if it's their right to hurt and betray.

We are not just some prey,

To be kept locked up and controlled.

We are strong, we are brave

So don't ask us to be quiet, to forgive

When the mistake is not our own,

We can stand up for ourselves and hold our own.

We deserve respect, we deserve love,

On the topic of goth makeup, do you use a pure white base? If you do what is it, because I keep trying to find a decent enough white base and I keep turning up with horrible patchy shitty stuff lol

I have been using face paint this whole time, boss.

foundation, the cool tone of the 01 is what makes it WHITE.

snazaroo black is actually prolly my fav because it goes on BLACK

black liquid latex to paint my neck and arms

black teeth paint for the teeth

setting powder that KEEPS it in and makes it not so shiny

but if i am not wanting to go pale i use snazaroo just paint my face white for a more homage to corpse paint.

Nyx is 21 and living, versus a 17 and 15 year old dead people so ships between these characters are frowned upon, these characters live in different countries so they have not met and probably won't (unless you do an M!A), Nyx is a proxy the other two are ghosts, below are the refs and explanations!

I just finished Hades the game today after procrastinating (more like got distracted by other games), and gosh. I love the game so much. I love all the characters so much (ok i don't really like Theseus tbh). I haven't inked in ages and I thought Mama Nyx (who is my fav!!) deserves some art!
