Steve is one attentive boyfriend.
It’s the early stages of your relationship, the golden era, the honeymoon phase. And while you’re a still a bit nervous about it all, you couldn’t be happier, because he does it all right.
He knows your favourite snacks, what music you like, what makes you laugh, what makes you cry. He’s starting to figure out your ins and outs, and it’s almost crazy how quickly he’s catching on. You have no reason to feel judged by him at any point, he truly is comfort poured into the shape of a person.
So then why are you staring at your phone right now, struggling to dial his number and just tell him why you can’t make it to your date?
It’s not usually this bad, at least it hadn’t been for a while, so why now, of all moments, must you be forsaken to be terrorised by your period?
You bite your lip, laying flat onto your bed, hand over your lower stomach. It's right where the pain is just gnawing at you, just like the guilt is. But you know you’d feel even guiltier if you just stood him up, he doesn’t deserve that. You sit up, a tad slowly to save yourself from another cramp, and swallow your nerves for now.
“I’ll just… Tell him I’m sick. Yeah… Yeah I can do that.” You think to yourself.
The combination of his number had started to feel natural to your fingers now, unlike how anxiously you pressed the buttons the first time, triple checking before finally pressing call. You're triple checking again now, more so because you're not sure you can handle hearing the defeat in his voice when you tell him you can't make it.
The phone barely gets a moment to ring before he picks it up, and his all too familiar sweet voice comes through the device.
"Hey babe, everything okay over there?"
You pause a moment before replying. "How did you know it was me calling?"
"Lover's intuition." He chuckles, and it makes your heart flutter. It's not fair how easy it is for him to do that to you, but you enjoy it nonetheless. "So, what's going on?"
"I, uh..." God, getting the words out is like pulling teeth. But you'd rather die than let him think you just got cold feet about your movie date. "I'm really not feeling too well right now, Steve... I'm-- I'm so sorry, I'm gonna have to cancel for tonight." Your eyes are welling up with tears before he even gets a chance to reply, just imagining his pretty face losing its bright expression when hearing your unfortunate news.
"Oh," damnit, he does sound sad, "that's okay, uhm... Is there anything I can do? What kinda sick is it?"
Shit, he's gonna make you say it, isn't he? You know Steve is a mature guy, he knows about periods, knows how they work, but you've been told to suck it up and get on with it before... A part of you is still disappointed that you just can't.
"U-Uhm... It's more like, a stomach thing, I guess?" It's the best way you can put it for now, hoping it'll put his worries to rest.
"Okay, I see..." You can nearly hear him thinking, the subtle noise of bags being moved and a fridge being opened coming through the phone. "Uh, how aboouuut... I come over to yours, and we just watch a movie at home? I still got a couple of tapes we haven't gotten to, and I can bring some light snacks that won't upset your stomach too much."
The thought of Steve caring for you while you're sick sends a warm feeling through your entire body. God, how does he just keep getting better? But you can't lie to him, right? It's not like you're really sick, unless you count the curse of menstruation as a symptom.
Before you get a chance to explain, he's talking again, and by the ruckus in the background you can only guess he's rushing to grab all his stuff. "I'll be heading out in a bit, I'll stop by the corner store too, stay put for me alright? See ya in a bit!"
You're sure he didn't realize he wasn't letting you talk, but frankly, you probably couldn't even come up with a response on time anyways. Right now, you just have to worry about looking somewhat presentable, and maybe figure out a way to tell him you're not actually sick.
By the time you've brushed your hair and brushed some mascara onto your lashes, you're already hearing the doorbell. You just manage to pull a fresh shirt over your head, before stumbling down the stairs and stopping in front of the door. With a deep, loaded, sigh you open it, to reveal your boyfriend.
Hair messed up, plastic bag in hand, jacket haphazardly thrown on. He clearly rushed to be here, still panting a little, but in your eyes, he's the image of your guardian angel, your saviour in need.
Before either of you know it, you're crying again, your freshly applied mascara now leaving thin black streaks over your cheeks. Your hands go up to cover your face, embarrassed, not even sure why you're sobbing all of a sudden. The feelings just hit you like a freight train, rocking you before you even have a time to rationalize.
Steve's expression falters, the bag he had in hand dropping to the floor in an instant, stepping in closer so he can carefully wrap his arms around you and pull you to his chest. Not too tight, he doesn't want to startle you. He's a bit distraught; he's really only seen you cry at a sad movie scene before, so he's a bit unsure as to what's caught you to be so upset right now.
"I-I'm sorry..." you manage to mutter through your incoherent sobs and sniffs, effectively ruining the front of his shirt in the process.
"Hey, hey..." His big hands go up to your face, gently cupping your wettened cheeks as he looks into your teary eyes. Hell, the image of you is almost enough to make him break too. "What're you sorry for? You can't help it that you're sick, right?"
The reminder of your lie makes you want to break eye contact in shame, but it's hard to force yourself to lose sight of that soft, caring gaze of his.
"I," sniff, "I lied, I'm so sorry Steve, I-- I'm not sick, I just... I have..."
He watches you expectedly, not upset, just curious. You'd surely have your reasons if whatever caused you to cancel is making you this upset.
"I'm... I'm just on my period and it-- it hurts really bad, it's not even usually this bad, and I felt like I was overreacting and I feel so bad and--" Your ramble gets cut short by his chuckle, the same one that nearly caused you to melt over the phone earlier.
"W-Wha... Why are you laughing?" You're not sure if you should be happy or worried, you're already experiencing so much at once, it's hard to pick one emotion to feel.
"Nothing, it's just, well," he picks up the bag he dropped, opening it slightly to show the bars of chocolate, candy and your favorite chips inside. "I had a feeling."
The sight of it makes you snap out of your state of distress, and you can’t help but crack a smile through your tears. “Seriously? How?”
He shrugs, a sheepish smile adorning his face. “I told you, lover’s intuition.” He pulls you back to him and kisses your head. “There’s another bag in the car with chicken soup in case I was wrong.”
You both laugh, just hugging on your doorstep for a moment. You have to let it sink in, that maybe Steve just is that sweet and considerate of a guy.
“D’you wanna go inside, or does standing outside help with cramps?” He pulls back a little, and you fight the urge to poke him in the ribs for his sarcasm. You love it either way.
“Yeah, let’s go inside. We can watch When Harry Met Sally and I can cry my eyes out again. Sound good?”
“Sounds perfect.”

My top three favorite webcomics/manwha are Killing Stalking, Bloody Sweet, and Dreaming Freedom.
I actually just started reading Dreaming Freedom a few days ago. And I'm hooked! Maybe it's just me ... but every time I look at Siyun's adorable face, I can't stop myself from imagining Yandere!Solomon (from Obey Me! obviously lol)
I am simping HARD for this man! And not just because he's beautiful... I am seriously in love with his entire personality! I tore down the red flags and raced towards Siyun without looking back lol
There's also the fact that Siyun is a lowkey(?) Yandere, which is a major selling point for me. Honestly... He reminds me of an overprotective puppy dog, which is actually a huge compliment even though it may not sound like it
Not to mention the fact that I ALWAYS have a thing for characters with tragic/sad backstories, especially characters that have white hair at one point or another (for some unknown reason... it usually just works out that way xD )
Plus Siyun says things like this :

Next : I was extremely happy to find out that Bloody Sweet is getting a physical release. And you can bet I picked up Volume One the first chance I got!
Naerim is super relatable, and Fetechou is beyond adorable. He can have my blood anytime >:3
I've only read Bloody Sweet once before online, and as far as I can recall.... Fetechou also has a very tragic past.
He also says things like this ~ :

Fetechou's heterochromatic eyes and lil' fangs are everything. And I ADORE his personality <3
Then there's Killing Stalking. Not exactly a wholesome, heartwarming story by any means. It's actually loaded with plenty of potentially triggering content. But I still love it.
Killing Stalking is another manhwa that I was sooooo surprised to hear was getting a physical release. I'm all caught up (three volumes have been released so far), and I cannot wait to finally own the entire series! ^^
To be fair, I was rooting for YoonBum the entire time. I wanted the absolute best for him. I wanted him to get a happy ending. YoonBum deserved someone who could give him a stable, loving, nurturing home filled with patience, acceptance, and understanding. Someone who could shower him with positive affection, boost his confidence, and give him a sense of self worth in the best ways possible.
Sangwoo, on the other hand... I have mixed feelings about him lol
I really do feel bad for him. But thinking in a realistic sense.... Sangwoo's personality would keep me on eggshells, I don't know how I would be able to comfortably manage a situation like that.
Although, when he comes off with lines like this :
Bad enough you shatter legs, but then you have to go and mess with my heart and mind too?! 💙
Not gonna lie.... I'd rather stay with YoonBum. At least I'd be able to trust him better and rest easier near him haha xD
Anyway! Judging from my picks and these characters, can you see the overwhelming desperation that resides within me to receive any form of genuine intimacy and the crushing desire to feel truly needed due to being deprived of such things for so long? Because it's there! Just look closely and you'll definitely see it! Hahaha! Haha...ha.... T^T

Ok do you watch the great British pottery throwdown. Do u have thoughts. Is there other pottery reality shows.
I actually have only watched one episode lol;;; it was fine! I had some problems with it bc it is dramatized.
like some thrown pieces exploded in the kiln but it wasn’t bc the potter was bad; they literally didn’t get to dry slowly enough!!! and the judges being rly critical of artistic style? like yes there’s technical elements/skill to judge but. artistic style can’t be judged the same imo. there’s ways to judge artistic style but it can’t just be “i don’t like it so it’s bad”. also like iirc the first challenge was throwing nesting bowls, and someone got eliminated but it was because they were mainly a hand builder? how are you gonna not even let them show their actual skills. lol sorry,, those are my thoughts
my parents really like it tho, and it’s neat bc i can talk to them a little more technically and they’ll understand cause “oh they did that on the pottery throw down” i definitely appreciate that. not having to explain like. what sgraffito is. etc
i could try to watch it again but i think i’m too much of a nerd abt pottery/ceramics and wouldn’t be able to just sit and enjoy it lmao;; i’d be too critical of the show on a meta level lolll

Hello, it's me again! But this time, I'm just asking questions about things that I noticed in Kill of the Night, it's okay if you can't answer!
1.Do the boys will also have backstories? (Billy, Vance and Robin) or we'll be more focused on the other boys?
2. Bruce has mommy issues in this fic? In chapter 8:
Finney walks in after, rushing to Bruce’s side, “Oh Brucie— are you okay?” Bruce inhales after the first pump, and licks his dry lips. “Not really.” “What happened?” “Nightmare.” “A case? Your mom?” “Red.” Bruce snorts, “I dreamed I was the bird in the box. All flayed alive, and empty blood and no muscles and just a skin cage with a tiny little heart inside.”
3. About Evan, I think I'll wait a little more until I make an atual theory, he's only been mentioned like 3 times. But I just want to say that it's giving me Betty/James/Augustine (Evan/Griffin/Billy), and if Evan and Griffin are dating (highly doubt it) I'll feel bad for shipping Showstagg and start questioning Griffy's fidelity because damn this is the second time Griffin cheats (flirting can be count as cheating right?) in your fics to be with Billy. Griffin is either incapable of staying loyal or Billy is just that hot. But either way Griffin is just to bbg for me to clearly judge anything he do
4. We'll see more of Charlie? Like in the present, not just possible flashbacks from other past. I'm just so curious about him and the relationship he has with each of the angels. He seems like a sweetheart
5. You said in one of the replys in the comments that Donna would be more important on the second part of the story. Is this about her thing with Finney or she's going to be important to other thing?
6. Gwen and Finn relationship seems a bit rocky, or is just me? Anyway they still seems to be ride or die for each other which is good.
7. If you could go with emotion, balances and logic to describe the ghost boys, how would you categorized? (For me it's Griffy and Billy logic, Robin and Bruce balanced and Finney and Vance emotion)
8. Will Bruce have a second possible pairing? Like for Griffin we have Evan and for Finney we have Donna
9. It's rare the moments that we got from the others boys perspective (Vance, Robin and Billy), do we ever will get a chapter that's fully just the boys perspective? I don't really mind either way

Could you give a tiny bitty spoiler about when the other boys (Vance, Billy and Robin) will figured it out that the Angels know each other and live together, like, if they are gossiping about Billy's life occurrences how did Billy didn't mention that one time that he took Dylan home? Vance is literally STALKING Bruce how they did not connect the dots? When are they going to start suspecting each other (but well, 22 is a rather young age to be in the FBI so I can let they pass this one)?
11. This one is rather silly, but what are Lenny's intention? Like does he like Griffin? Was he physically attracted to him and then later realized they were better off as friends? What does he think of Billy? He just seems like a very mature person to me, and I would like to see more of him.

(Ps: You literally made me start seeing Griffin as a siren, like if he were a mythological being I would chose mermaid because in your fics he's just so artistic and attractive - not just appearance - that he must be a siren or something like that. He sings, he loves attention and having people on his finger, and the general headcanon that the fandom has about him only made me headcanon even more)

9. yes yes yes — there will be chapters that are primarily from ONE person’s pov i just tend to switch it around so no one is bored.
10. the other boys will figure it out around chapter 15-16? OUR boys figure it out around 17-19. and chapters 20-?? are the aftermath of that discovery. vance is straight up stalking bruce but from his perspective bruce is alex — and alex has an entirely new identity (created by donna) so vance knows NOTHING abt bruce-bruce if that makes sense? billy has mentioned it (this comes up later sorry for the spoiler) but vance straight up doesn’t care😭 robin is the only one that paid attention to the detail but billy didn’t exactly give out addresses. just that he dropped “dylan” off (but to be fair— billy mostly talked abt him getting to touch “dylan’s” thigh)
11. lenny has good intentions. or does he? no i’m kidding he does…. maybe. he and griffin/dylan aren’t romantically involved but lenny is very enthralled by griff (who wouldn’t be that man is so attractive) and thinks of him fondly.

The way that Dennis and Dee are so similar and yet have nearly complete opposite personality types is so interesting and important to the fabric of the show no one else is an mbti/psychology buff like me so u probably don’t care but I’m gonna talk about it anyway. So Dennis is an ENTJ (if you break that down in the most basic of ways that’s extroverted, intuitive, thinking, judging but it’s actually a lot more complicated than that and I’m not going to go into it rn but u get the general gist) and Dee is an ESFP (Extroverted, sensing, feeling, perceiving) now in compatibility terms just with how you get along with the people in your life, the best matches are people with opposite first and last letters but the same middle two letters or opposite all letters but the same second letter so based on this Dennis and Dee couldn’t be more opposite unless one of them was an introverted type right so in theory they should clash in every way but here is when it’s nature vs nurture because they have so many of the same characteristics it seems impossible for their types to be so different and yet they are. Because your personality type is made up of your brain functions right and you can be one type while still having an overactive certain function that doesn’t technically align with your type so the way Dennis and Dee have influenced each other despite being such different types is very interesting in the whole outline of their psychology. Another interesting point is that Dennis and charlie are the only intuitive types in the group (ENTJ & ENFP) (Frank is ESTP) and also a pairing that seems to understand each other, charlie is certainly the person Dennis has the most compassion for and I find this super interesting because intuitive types generally don’t feel understood by sensor types and vice versa also since Dennis is an ENTJ and therefore the rarest type this also adds to the feeling of no one in the group truly understanding him and it’s bizarre bc I mean Dennis and Dee are twins they grew up together and tho Dee understands Dennis better than anyone else does there is still a rift between them where she is bad at intuitively feeling what’s going on with him at any given time possibly because she’s a sensor and that’s not naturally how she’s wired. Dennis on the other hand understands the gang intuitively to the point where it’s boring for him because they never surprise him - a reason why the RPG moment was so special and soft because he truly hadn’t been expecting it. This is what Dennis craves and values in the people around him - being able to surprise him. Being an INFJ myself (an equally intuitive type) I feel much the same way and also relate to him in the way that all my friends at school were sensors so though I enjoyed their company I never really felt like anyone truly understood me. I think that can be so frustrating for Dennis in regards to Dee sometimes too because she’s supposed to be his other half and he can read her so well yet she keeps missing the mark with his needs. It was interesting that in DTAMHD the Dee in his fantasy was on his side, knew how he’d react to something the gang did and actively tried to stop them from upsetting him because that’s what he wishes he had from her in reality. I don’t even really know what point I’m trying to make here these are just some thoughts and me finding a way to bring my two special interests together lol. Also just an extra little note Dee and macs types are very similar (ESFP & ESFJ) and yet they can’t stand each other which I find quite funny because as we know the gang is always offended by any kind of mirror so the fact Dee and Mac are so similar is also probably the reason they hate each other so much.

The few friends I made were through other writers accounts only. Reader's don't really leave replies on dark contents.. ghost readers or idk..its hard to make friends with them... Writers make friends with writers only (most I feel like it)..I would start posting too but it's kind of scary..feels like putting yourself out there. Also writing takes too much time and energy..even if I like writing (kudos to yall 😦👏🏽).
DC side of twitter is scary..I mostly only see l0li/sh0tacon writers (they do their thing..I don't intervene). I tried discord too..ofc i had to join proship servers otherwise who is gonna hear my incest thoughts.. once again it was filled with sh0ta. I'm just there like 🧍🏽♀️.. you can tell me why don't u make one yourself.. istg, if I had the time I would..I would need atleast one friend by my side to help out..so I can find more of my people.. hard to do it alone yk..and let's not talk about reddit, it's filled with weird men. I'm tired of them tbh.

I don’t know if it’s that writers only make friends with writers because they are writers or is it that writers only make friends with writers because those are the only people who interact or produce majority of the content? I don’t think it is solely because you are primarily a reader that writers will not befriend you. I think it is hard to really SEE you (the readers) when the relationship is mostly one-sided (most readers consume the fic, leave a like, and then leave). I think if there is some reciprocation (I.e leave meaningful asks, comments, maybe send your own thoughts or posts that you think people would like to see) people will reach out to you as well.
I wish I could empathize with the fear of posting but I’ve never personally felt that way. A blog is so easy to be anonymous on. Make a fake name, make a theme, and post things. No ones gonna associate it with your real self and you don’t have to share it with irls, so it’s virtually anonymous. If it’s a side blog you can lock it/delete it at any time and make a new one and start over.. I personally don’t really feel like there’s any reason to be scared of posting anything or reaching out to people. But maybe that’s just how I see it since I’ve been on this site for so long LOL
I would never go to reddit for dark content the people on there are weird about it lol. I’ve been in a few discords for DC side of fandom it’s hit or miss… sometimes if they allow aging up or whatever then they have strict rules on no lolisho but then people get weird about actual DC like incest noncon etc… like what’s the point when you pick and choose. But then places where it’s free for all you will see lolisho. The fact of the matter is that lolisho IS dark content, whether you personally like it or not. So I think in spaces where you want to be free to enjoy dark content you have to overlook the dark content that others enjoy.
I feel bad that you feel that way being surrounded by vanilla friends 😭 there are definitely certain fandom servers I’m in that don’t allow the kind of things I like and it feels like I can’t be myself there. Hopefully you will find a fandom space for you! If anything your thoughts are always welcome here 🫶🏽
