the usa is leaving me to die slowly and painfully because i am poor please god rb this dont just like and scroll
i'm on a medication that is barely helping and i'm still having seizures almost every other day. finally had a grand mal the other day and i'm still hurting from it.
i don't have health insurance but i have to see a neurologist otherwise my condition is going to continue to deteriorate until it kills me if nothing is done

I also donāt have detailed lore for him yet? But all I got right now is he ran away from his family when he was younger and because he had nowhere to go, he started going to this underground boxing thing and he eventually became one of their leading champions lol.
Another thing is I kinna also made him the descendant of the Filipino war god Apolaki but it also his boxer title or whatever (SOBBING)
I might elaborate more soon but hereās just the tip of the iceberg cuz I still have to design his brotherš

Ok. Well. Didnāt finish bc my site crapped out on me and I genuinely did not give enough of a shit to find a way to watch the rest but. That was bad! Mortal Kombat 2021 u officially get a 1/10 for me. Point for good and creative ice effects, good opening scene with the Shirai Ryu slaughter, Kano being great, Kabal being great, and a vague hint of fun from Kung Lao and Liu Kang. The rest was just. Really sloppy bad uninspired cinematic adaptation with a boring original main I had no investment in, pacing issues, and changes to lore that were just really stupid. And thatās that.
Hanzo #1 only good thing about any of this ever.

OoOO I donāt think of handwriting much but to conjure a few:
All the god characters have a mix of different writings depending on the language theyāre writing in. Itās based on how much they write in that language due to their followers (like where their followers are from/what language the area theyāre based in is), which humans taught it to them, and their own little quirks. I also think specifically Lord Raiden and Lord Liu Kang have very specific ways of writing their friends and championsā names, getting to choose how they represent the names of those close to them and what subtle embellishments they choose to add when thinking of them. Whether for summons, armor adjustment orders, dorms, or for monuments to their passing. Theyāve had eons to develop and explore language and art, and it all weaves into their writing.
Kung Jinās got very much a scrawl, but heās working on handwriting intently. His home life was never the best, and his education tanked when he became a thief, as did his chances of writing much at all (maybe he learned to make a signature for contracts, but not much else). However when he joins the Shaolināsimilar to the way he drinks up knowledge of Outworld and Earthrealm, customs and histories and legendsāhe takes an avid interest in general education. Heās always been quite the reader and never lost that, but he works on making his handwriting clearer and more focused. Thereās still a lot of messy sharp notes jotted down on scraps of paper around the temple, though, sticking out of books and left idly on tables.
Curious question, do you have any MK handwriting headcanons?

I mean, I know that āhandwriting says about personalityā is a thing and I saw people in fandoms analyzing the characters that way, but I never really got into it? would love to read others thoughts tho!
The only random idea I got is that Hollywood Johnny either has a bold sweeping handwriting since he got used to signing stuff this way, or he completely forgot how to use a pen for anything other than autographs because heās typing 24/7 ahdghHH

GodDDD and no matter how it goes itās just the weight of it all crashing down on him, on both of them.
Someone else throws him off his game: Kung Lao had to accept it in the future and see them go back to the past. For his past self, all it means is he wasnāt good enough to win, and even when he was, he did it wrong. Thatās why someoneās come to right him, to put him in his place. Even if itās Raiden, who looks down at him with pain and pity and apologies that wonāt be said because he canāt stay in the place of his past self forever, Kung Laoās failure is chosen. His loss is status quo.
Someone else tells him: he doesnāt believe it, that canāt be true. Itās ridiculous that he would be fated to be second best so fully that the universe burns when he finds his light. Theyāre just trying to get in his head.
Someone injures him to make him step out (because he didnāt listen, they tried to tell him): betrayal, unfairness, being hurt by someone he cares about for everyoneās good but his own. He hasnāt seen the bad. He canāt comprehend it. Instead itās just a cruel cruel moment, one that stands out of place in his continuity. To him this isnāt righteous, it isnāt something thatās going to save the world, itās just shattering his own. Itās just depriving him of what heās owed. (Why would you do it? I thought you of all people would be happy for meā¦)
Kung Lao does it himself (whatever it is, to whatever severity is needed): a deep breath. Steeling his face because he knows he wonāt be received well, that there is no way this will go smoothly. There will be anguish in the end. He wonāt get to see it, but there will be an ever after for everyone else that is unhappy, and thatās better than nothing. It has to be better. What he came from was worse.
A deep breath. Confronting a self so familiar, so bright eyed and ready. A deep breath. Understanding the twist of confusion, the air of distrust, the panic that sets in when he attacks.
A deep breath. Hearing others call out, hearing the sound of footsteps approaching, the air smelling of plasma and a shot of fire grazing against his neck. A deep breath as he teleports them away, as desperate hands strike through petals where they stood.
Finding footing on a rooftop. Finding hands around his own neck. Of course he would be the one to strangle his own destiny, itās always been his ego getting in the way anyway. Kung Lao, the greatest obstacle in his path, instead of the greatest Kung Lao to live. Now heās just making it real. Now heās just showing himself what heās capable of.
A deep breath and the choking off of another. Maybe not deadly, maybe just enough to injure, to knock out for a few days, to put the timeline back on course (right?), to correct a wrong (right?).
The voices find them again, find one Kung Lao looking tired and angry and the other with his feet scraping to stay on the edge of the roof tiles, fingers digging into his own arms, gasping for breath.
āKung Lao!ā The shout rumbles like thunder, the world shakes. Kung Lao smiles. Raiden hasnāt even gotten the amulet yet but the world is already expecting it, bending around the arc of what was Meant to be. Not what Was. Not what he was.
A twist of his hands, just enough. A body falling, just enough. Time changed, just enough, to let him rest his eyes.
A deep breath, and the hope that the next one will be better.

fr, the butterfly effect of this āshould-never-be-a-championā au opens up so many possibilities (literally XD) for angst! Likeā¦ I think it would be a devastating discovery for Kung Lao. Not only he was the reason for all the disastrous things that came after his victory, but the realization that apparently even the Universe itself is against his success. Someone would say itās the perfect scenario for a character to start his villain arc, Iād say itās time for an existential crisis. āWhatās the point thenā, emotional exhaustion and thoughts about ending this meaningless life. So someone would have to help him go through thisā¦ or it all goes to shit, tons of characters die and the whole timeline literally crumbles THE END š
