I stand outside the building of the Administration with a comically large boombox. I click play and lift it over my head. The audio is so ear-piercing that people in the front of the building feel as their ear drums rupture. Deep within the Administration the music has reached its intended recipient. The manager of the merge displacement team.

The audio blasting is Gary Come Home from Spunchbob but Gary’s name has been replaced with a text-to-speech voice saying “Jay”.

I am immediately served an Administration Restraining Order filed in triplicate.

I need to see Adrien with the Fox Miraculous so bad. I just think it would be interesting to see the master of pretending with the power to create illusions. Maybe even have a little fun with it. Idk maybe Alya has to leave the city for a while and leaves Marinette with the necklace. But then something happens and Ladybug needs someone who can create an illusion for her and Alya is not there and she is panicking, and all her friends already have a Miraculous and she needs someone she can trust, especially with the fox— and then she’s like hey. I have a boyfriend. A very brave and very smart boyfriend. And maybe giving him a Miraculous didn’t work out before but the third times the charm right?? obviously Felix pretending to be Adrien is no longer a problem and she probably thinks she’s less blinded by her love now that they’re in a relationship (wrong). So she goes to Adrien, reluctant but also a little excited, and she swings through his window JUST as he’s about to transform into Chat Noir. She gives him the necklace and he’s like ummmmm Ladybug I don’t think that’s a good idea. And she’s like NO it’s a PERFECT idea you’re PERFECT for this and he tries to deflect so HARD because he knows how badly this could end and if he learned one thing from fighting Desperada it’s that Chat Noir might be needed (maybe he even suggests Ladybug offer the Fox to Marinette instead and she has to make up a stupid excuse herself) but she insists and just LEAVES him with the necklace and he sighs because his partner is so. stubborn. Adrien has no choice but to use the necklace because he can’t let Ladybug down. Maybe he unifies the Miraculi and becomes a black fox, maybe he switches between the fox and the cat during the battle, either way he creates an illusion of Chat Noir and Adrifox interacting so that no one suspects a thing. You could even throw in Ladybug awkwardly flirting with Adrien mid-battle before she realises HE DOESN’T KNOW SHE’S MARINETTE and Adrien is very confused. The last time his lady acted like this was when Mister Bug was around.

It’s all a huge mess but he manages to make it work and returns the Miraculous to a flustered but happy Ladybug who announces that she might keep him in mind as a backup holder should one of the permanent holders be unavailable at some point and Adrien is like oh :)) great :))) and lets out the biggest sigh ever as she swings away. Next time he sees Alya I’m school she’s like soooo I heard Ladybug tried to replace me with a blond pretty boy ;)) and Marinette chokes on her drink and Adrien buries his head in his hands. The next time Ladybug seeks him out he fakes a sudden and terrible illness so he doesn’t have to go through this again

Because this is the moment where the similarities between Gloreth and Ambrosius’ stories end

At face value, these scenes seem incredibly similar 

In both scenes, Gloreth and Ambrosius are watching terrified as their homes are burning down around them because of a “monster” 

But that’s where the similarities stop

Because in the first scene, Gloreth decides to listen to everything that her community has told her 

And in the second scene, Ambrosius has finally figured out that everything he’s been told since he was a kid is a lie

I’m finally coming down from the high of bbh’s stream and it’s got me thinking about fatherhood and cycles.

Bbh’s Father (god) disowned him and cast him from home for some unknown sin. His love was conditional on obedience and submission with the cruelest of punishments for those who didn’t fit the mold.

For thousands of years bbh has been alone in his yearning for Home. He embraces himself, the qualities that his Father shunned, because what else can he do? He tried to please his Father and it wasn’t enough, it was never enough. I can’t help but wonder if embracing the qualities his Father hated was both a form of self actualization and self harm - pushing himself further and further from home just by choosing himself.

Then from nowhere the most unexpected thing occurred. Bbh himself became a father. A small little egg with a top hat rolled into his life and everything changed. He gave that little egg everything, anything they could ask. He didn’t always understand Dapper’s quirks, her need to capture every animal they stumbled across, her vast knowledge of machines and industry, but bbh always supported him and gave him anything he needed to explore his hobbies.

Bbh’s love for Dapper - and the rest of the kids - is unconditional. There is nothing the kids could do that would ever cause bbh to turn his back on them. Do you ever think he lays awake at night wondering how his Father could have cast him aside? Do you ever think he considered the lengths he’d go to for his children and wondered why his own Father never did the same? Do you think he wondered if his Father would scold him for the free rein he gave Dapper? Do you think in the first days he had Dapper that he vowed while watching his baby sleep that things would be different? That he wouldn’t be like his Father? Or do you think the realization came slower over time? He would never put them thought what his Father put him through - bbh would never abandon them like He did. He loved his kids so much it literally killed him.

Then, after all of this, after bbh had built a life for himself, found a family for himself, his Father opens the doors for him to come home. The cruelest thing He could possibly do. “My happiness… you’ve cut it in half” cried out in a broken voice. Again, bbh’s Father showed him how He loves: through control. You can come home but only on my terms. Only if you cut out a part of yourself - the part of yourself that gives you purpose. The part of yourself that ties you to something other than me. And thus bbh is faced with the choice: continue the cycle of abandonment or break it and return to his kids to be the father he never had.

He chooses his kids.

He will never be his Father.

He will always choose his kids.

mammon x mc concept-

MC speaks a whole lot of human world languages. Mammon does not. They’re constantly calling him words he doesn’t understand, but when he asks them what they’re saying, they mischievously refuse to tell him. So he assumes they’re probably insults.

Then one day Mammon gets his hands on a potion that allows him to understand all languages, only to realize that they’ve been calling him the Sweetest, Cheesiest terms of endearment ever.

my mother has been treating my middle sibling so fucking poorly recently that I flat out just offered to take them with me when I move out of state so they would at least have the option to leave the abusive environment they’re in right now and won’t feel as smothered and manipulated anymore.

and they actually said they want to come with me. they want a little time to save up and prepare so I’ll have to come back and get them later on, but I don’t care about that. as long as they’re safe and protected and out of harms way, which I know they will be with me, that’s all that matters.

this kid deserves to be taken care of and loved by someone who genuinely cares about them and their mental health and well-being. and if my mother can’t fucking manage that, then I guess I’m mom now. I’ll never let this kid feel unloved and trapped somewhere like they do right now.

they will always have my unconditional love and support. and they know that. I won’t just sit by idly and be complicit in their abuse. I’m just going to quietly take them away from all this shit so they never have to be treated this way by the people they’ve called ‘family’ ever again.
