So I got a few people’s favorite functional groups.

Benzene is a personal favorite of mine too! But I just recently relearned of its actual functional group- Arene! Benzene is just the name of the six carbons with alternating double and single bonds. It’s structure is very pretty in my opinion!

Next was Azide, which. yeah. this looks like someone started writing out math equations with poor nitrogen as it’s victim. It’s still really cool looking, and it shows off N’s weird skills!

My personal favorites are Carboxyl group and the Ester group. Not because they’re exciting or they’re weird looking. They’re actually pretty plain looking and are one of the more basic groups. No… my love for them comes from their condensed structural name.

It’s Cooch. Or COOCH3. Although, you could spell it CO2CH and CO2CH3, but that’s no fun.
