you clearly love them a lot and i am So curious what ur thoughts on seven red suns as a character are. theyre.. kinda mean from what uve seen, but you probably have some great insights!! if this means gushing about your f/o instead of serious analysis i am also in 100% support of that gbjhf

WUAGHHHHH I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN I LIKE THEM SOOOO MUCH i really really want to talk about General interpretations but it's hard because of how obviously biased i am. but. Augh. this is so nothing but it got long and i'm embarrassed so woe read more be upon ye

i gotta start by mentioning that faelings original design & concept for suns (and spearmaster by extension) is sooo important to me and a lot of my personal interp comes from that, comics like this (link to the official discord btw) that they made for example! and though it has arguably less to do with suns, the 1.5 drought mod also has a special place in my heart but if i get too into that i'll start screaming and crying about it. just know that wanderer is so special to me and suns has two kitty cats that they love so much ok?🫶

anyways. i think because of the fact they aren't fleshed out much in canon aside from the spearmaster broadcasts there's a lot left up for the player to decide, which honestly is really fun to me and i genuinely love seeing other peoples interpretations!! but personally because you mentioned it and because i feel kinda strongly about this in particular, i wanna say that i don't think suns is mean, i think they definitely have the potential to be overprotective and intimidating, but it'd almost always be out of love. one thing the broadcasts ARE good at showing is just how much they care about basically everybody around them, even if they're a little.. dense about some things. they way they talk in the chat logs with nsh, about their guilt over pebbles' situation and trying to make up for it even though pebbles clearly doesn't want their help, about dooming not only pebbles but moon as well (who as far as canon text goes, they don't seem to have ever personally talked to moon at all imo). and when nsh stops messaging them, or becomes increasingly worried about moon, they get visibly concerned about his wellbeing as well and does their best to console him. my favourite broadcasts are the ones about their gradual realization that maaaaybe they care about spearmaster a little more than they originally intended to. they raised spearmaster, going as far as to teach it a personally modified sign language rather than a quick and easy one-way mark of communication like most iterators would do. the chat logs after spearmaster encounters pebbles and how worried suns was for it, about how they regret ever sending them to pebbles in the first place, and that they just wished it'd return home to them safely. there's also the fact that they kept an eye on spearmaster with their overseer basically 24/7, to the point that even pebbles knew that suns was watching. overseers can act on their own, we know that from what we see in canon, but pebbles knew that suns was actively watching when spearmaster entered his can. which. god this wasn't supposed to be about pebbles but pebbles not killing spearmaster is something that's so important to me because he so easily could have killed them and there was no reason for him not to. but despite how hurt he was and how wronged he felt, he knew that it would have ruined suns so he held himself back and it's so AAUUGHHHHHH!!!!!!! i love them all so much. this is barely even about suns anymore sorry i didn't mean to type so much about spearmaster i just love their campaign so much. don't even get me started on the thought of ascending as spearmaster that shit will make me start killing people i actually was going to talk about headcanon stuff too (mostly stuff from before the global ascension/after riv) but. i started thinking too hard about suns and pebbles and spearmaster and wanderer and and and. Well sorry but i fear that if i think about rain world any more today i may end up on national television. so maybe another day

In the end it's always about their kitty cats #it's not even an analysis. i just started reading the broadcasts and went AUGUHHHHHHH #what if suns was sooooo dense but they loved and cared about everybody so much. If Sun and Moon could eat or drink they would eat your coffee cups the moment you’re not looking, they’d “confiscate” items only to hide them in a little space somewhere in their miserable room (they’d look so smug about taking them just to hide them for later), I think caffeine would make Moon a little loopy because I think Moon is a bit of a spider. Have you seen what happens to spiders on caffeine?

Like, this is Moon on caffeine, he’s made his web and now he has to lie in it.

I like to think if Sun could get hyped up on caffeine the effect would stick when they switched and Moon would not be happy about it.

I think if Sun could like a drink he would like those summery drinks like frappuccinos the most, I bet if he could drink caffeine he’d have an extreme response like either he’d be restless for DAYS or he’d unexpectedly short circuit and actually run out of energy. Maybe both.

(Like, that is the face of a playmate, right?)

Hey sorry if you already talked abt it so i probably just haven’t seen the post, but could you go more in depth with your AU? I just think it’s really interesting and would love to know more! The designs are AWESOME btw !!

Strange Beginning AU(LMK)

Context: set in the Song Dynasty in China, humanity has never seen demons because they were in hiding to blend into the crowds of humans. However that changes when a certain demon monkey meets the monkey king and his warrior.

MK grew up in a small demon village, living with his adopted father Pigsy and his friend Sandy who supported him during his life. However MK was the only demon monkey in that demon village, that’s when he realized he must have been from The Monkey Kingdom in flower fruit mountain which he wasn’t fully aware of till he discovered the stories from Sandy and Pigsy. MK being quite adventurous attempted to travel all the way to The Monkey Kingdom.

During his travel, he’s met small human villages but knew a couple things of being hidden as he hid his tail and ears from them. It worked successfully and he managed to leave the villages and continue his journey- only to find the wrong location..The Bull Demon Fortress.

MK snuck inside only to meet Mei and Red Son. Who had caused the three to become startled by one another, the two royals were close friends- specifically only friends from being restricted by the outside world. Which makes them astonished to see a demon monkey in person, the two immediately started asking questions and giving MK a tour besides turning him in to their parents. After awhile, they let MK secretly stay for the night and find out MK was searching for The Monkey Kingdom. So the three had agreed to help each other.

The trip wasn’t long as MKs old trips before he met the two royals, and it was a relief for the young simian. As they inch closer to The Monkey Kingdom, they were ambushed by a group of simians who were in the lookout, startling everyone and preparing to fight. However during the fight it was cut off as Macaque had cornered the three down. MK was astonished by seeing many demon monkeys, specifically to Macaque by seeing his ears while Mei and Red Son were too busy trying to escape them.

Macaque had brought them in and informed the king about the three intruders, instead of them being taken to be punished. The king was quite immature than Macaque, laughing and joking towards the children- he was actually excited to see them and introduced himself as Sun Wukong.

Sun Wukong and Macaque had discussed with the three young demons, MKs main purpose was to find where had came from and lead him to travel here. It left the two simians confused as they had never been informed of a missing simian child from their kingdom. Leaving everyone concerned and confused, MK wasn’t originated from this kingdom and it left everyone wanting more answers. During the time, Wukong had decided to give the three children a tour around the kingdom since they never had guests at all. Macaque kept guard of him and Wukong kept teasing about it, MK had noticed their dynamic was strange but he didn’t know what it was.

MK has stayed in the kingdom for quite some time, having permission for Pigsy and Sandy to visit at any time. It was later announced that MK would be trained by Macaque to fight much better, seeing that he was a poor fighter in general. But as the two train more and more, MK learns a lot of things about the royal guard. Revealing that macaque isn’t a regular demon monkey but instead a celestial like wukong. Along with a possession of a strange ability that manipulates shadows. The two had kept it secret till it was the right time to tell the others.

Besides the demons point of view. humans were inching closer into finding out about their kind and beginning a uprising of killing all of them. A couple of demon monkeys were found and tortured as well as being held in captivity. Causing the monkey kingdom to grow worry as they noticed a couple of their friends and families going missing.

During that time, macaque and MK went out of the kingdom to start their routine, but while they head to their spot they found a human village near the kingdom. But what had caught MKs eyes were cages of bloody corpses of familar simians, MK informed macaque immediately and without macaques permission, he had went out to try and help a few escape. It was successful but unfortunately the two were caught and had begun running back to the kingdom, sadly the humans were inching closer to them and Macaque had decided to hold them back to let MK and the other simians to escape easier. Only for the dark furred simian to be struck in the eye by an arrow as he was too distracted fighting with many humans.

MK made it back to the kingdom and informed Sun wukong, seeing the king become pale and shock had startled MK of seeing his cheerful expression disappear.

Sun Wukong went out to save his companion, Macaque, only to see his beloved friend injured and bleeding out on the floor. However he wasn’t dead due to his immortality but he felt regular pain regardless. It had angered the monkey king and left him into a frenzy.

(THATS ALL I HAVE FOR NOW BUT HERES SOME INFORMATION OF THE LOCATIONS)

The Monkey Kingdom

Set in flower fruit mountain, this kingdom is filled with many primates from Large to Small. The main temple/castle is hidden behind the curtains of a waterfall and their emperor is none other than The Monkey king AKA Sun Wukong.

The kingdom is quite far and hidden, but they are known to be a good asset of strength and agility. However, they’ve never interacted with other kingdoms in the last century.

Besides their emperor, they have a second command and also the royal guard who protects Him, The Six Eared macaque.

They celebrate a lot and have many festivals with foods and drinks, known for their tropical fruits.

Sun Wukong wasn’t the original founder of the mountain but instead was the third (and permanent from being immortal)

The Bull Demon Fortress

It’s the second strongest kingdom in China, known for their manipulation of power and flames

The kingdom associates with the dragon kingdom making them close allies (which is why Mei and red son are friends)

Despite their brute force, they have exotic foods as well but mostly meat and spices which they sell and gain more wealth.

The Demon Bull King hates the monkey kingdom because the last time he visit wasn’t a warm welcome (so the relationship of these two kingdoms isn’t good but they keep their distance towards each other)

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the deserted street, Sana, the beloved idol of the girl group Twice, walked home alone from a late-night convenience store run. Her thoughts drifted lazily, consumed by the day's events and plans for the future. The young man offered her a warm smile, his name rolling off his tongue like a melody. "Park Y/n. I'm just glad I could help."

From that moment on, Sana found herself consumed by thoughts of Y/n, his image etched into her mind like an indelible mark. But her joy soon turned to anguish when she learned of Y/n's girlfriend, a realization that ignited a fierce and possessive fire within her.

Determined to make Y/n hers and hers alone, Sana's actions took a dark and twisted turn. She stalked him relentlessly, her every move calculated to bring them closer together. But when her subtle advances went unnoticed, desperation set in, driving her to more drastic measures.

Now I love XY and I get your complaints with them… but the battles are just so cool. Not my fav series (Advanced and Sun/Moon my beloved) but if I were to rank them by animation I’d honestly but XY first. Not me saying your opinions are wrong or anything btw

The battles were super cool!! They went all in on action for sure

My thing for XY is, in anything the wasn’t a battle, the animation would feel pretty stiff (which makes sense). SM imo did a good job with the battle animation as well as the random character animation throughout an episode! They were able to do this because of those simpler, rounded designs. I just felt engaged all the way through bc of it

I totally get ya! I’m not trying to dunk on anyone liking XY either. We’ve all got different tastes and my taste leans very heavily towards character motivated, cute, slice of life stuff. I can understand people who like more action-y shonen stuff though!

Introducing... *drum roll*

The Greatest Showman AU! In which I now name as "What's Written in the Stars" (WWITS, for short)

Context at the bottom of each pic! (CW: Violence)

Also, will give more info on what I'm planning to do with this AU at the very bottom (after the cut) so read the full thing please :D

Assistive Care Attendant / Trapeze Act Sun: Each clothing design is for specific phases of the plot. The one with the apron is whilst Sun is still with his owner (him and Moon). The apron get-up is the male robots' default clothing after having been manufactured to become assistive robots for the rich— ofc with different colours that fit the scheme of the robot. The one on the left is showcasing his first time joining the circus, having almost stabbed in the faceplate seconds later by you, Y/N (unintentionally). And, the one on the top is him, a year into joining the circus.

Assistive Care Attendant / Trapeze Act Moon: Each clothing design is for specific phases of the plot. The one where he is tied up is when the Afton virus took hold of his programming having almost killed the father of the children that he and Sun are giving care to. The one on the right is where he's finally gotten the virus at a more stable control through your help and was finally allowed to perform overnight in the circus. And ofc, the one on the top is what he wears when performing.

Laundry Worker / Knife Throwing Act Y/N: I tried to make your design as androgynous as I could I hope I didn't butcher that. Anyhow, you carry a lot of trauma and painful experiences in this plot as an immigrant, orphan, and a very obvious person-of-color, you aren't always welcomed in where you live but you do have good people who took you in after your parents were brutally murdered as a child. You now work in your rescuers' laundry shop— well, not until you joined the circus.

My plans for this AU?

Currently the chapters are in the works, I'm writing Chapter 1 down as this gets posted. My goal is only a total of 5 (long, and will be divided into and released per parts) chapters for the entire plot.

I will also try (emphasis on try) to make a few storyboards I had in mind for this AU, y'know just to make things more interesting. More designs will be showcased sooner or later, as this AU is not only applicable to you and the Assistive Care Attendants (ACA) but also the other main bots of the canon plot of security breach.

Oh also! If you're not familiar with or haven't seen The Greatest Showman just yet, you don't have to see it to understand this AU. This AU can honestly be seen as a standalone AU where you live in the 1850s-1860s and technology started booming because of Fazbear Co (run by Henry Emily, William's co-founder in the canon series; William Afton will have a bit of a different role in the AU) and all that jazz. But unless you don't want spoilers for The Greatest Showman, don't learn more about this AU since it contains A LOT of references, plots, and designs similar to what's portrayed in the movie. Otherwise, have fun getting to know this when I release the first part of the first chapter and so on! :D

This might be one of the biggest things I'll ever make and I'm glad I got these ideas just as the new year is arriving. At least I know what my new year's resolution will be lmao. I hope you guys tune in for more! I have so much love and so much in store for this AU— so much!

Part of your world: Chapter: 4

- Prince Eric x male reader

Chapter 3: here

OMG I was so excited to finally write this part. The boat scene is my favourite scene from the movie. Also I completely forgot that Eric doesn't know the readers name and I hadn't thought about how he should guess it so I just made him guess a bunch of random names and one of them being right (R/n means random name btw!!), so yeah I hope you all enjoy this part because its honestly my favourite part I've written!!

You awoke at dawn. The rays of the sun creeping in through the gaps of the curtains and landing onto your eyes. You squinted while turning over, pulling the sheets with you. You lay on your side for a moment, your eyes still closed. You lay there until you remembered what you were supposed to be doing today. As soon as the memory of last night came back to you, you shot up from the bed. You quickly grabbed at your clothes that you had left in a pile before you went to sleep.

You threw them on yourself quickly, hoping you didn't sleep in. You ran to the door, swinging it open. You jumped back in fear when you saw someone standing there. It was Eric. He stood there with a startled look on his face. "I thought you were never going to wake up." He laughs. You smile at him, your hand still over your heart, trying to calm yourself down. "Are you ready?" He asks, playing with his hand. He looked like he was nervous. You nodded. Eric stood to the side putting his arm outwards. "You first." He gestures. You roll your eyes at him as you walk out of the room,hearing him chuckle behind you.

Eric leads you to where the carriage was being prepared. "I cannot wait to show you around, you're going to love it." He says as he opens the door. You both stepped outside. Eric points towards an empty carriage. "This one will be the one we will be taking." You look at it, admiring the design. You run your hand over the horse's mane as you walk by it. There was a small stepping stool but at the side to help you get up. You sat down on the seat, feeling how soft it was. The cushion felt amazing, you felt like you could fall asleep again.

You turn to your side, seeing a dog running out of the castle. You recognise the dog. It was the one Ariel had helped save on the day of the shipwreck. You lean over the side of the carriage as you rub the dog. "Looks like you made a new friend." Eric laughs, picking the dog up. "Come on max" He says as he hands the dog over to someone else. You move back to where you sat, allowing there to be space for Eric to sit beside you. He smiles at you as the carriage begins to move. You fall back into your seat as it begins to move, not used to this type of transport yet.

You looked around the island as the carriage made its way to the village. The view was magnificent. You looked at Eric's hands but more specifically at what he was holding. Eric notices your interest in the reins. "You want to try?" He asks, holding the reins towards you. You look at him for a moment before reaching out to grab them. You raised the reins before bringing them down with force. This caused the horse to speed up. You gripped onto the reins. Suddenly you and Eric notice someone walking in front of you two.

"Look out!" Eric calls out to the man. You twist the reins, hoping it would turn the vehicle. Your assumption was right as the horse turned with your movement. Eric turns around to shout out to the man. "Sorry about that!" He apologises. He turns back to you. "That was close." He laughs, you nod at him quickly before turning back to look in front of you again. "Woah!" Eric shouts. You two had entered the front of the village. This meant that now there were more people you had to try to avoid hitting. "Turn!" He calls out to you, grabbing your hands to help you control the carriage. As the carriage turned a corner you heard an animal. It was a group of goats that was crossing the road. You pull back on the reins, not wanting to hit them. This sudden movement caused Eric to fall back into his seat.

"Well that was" Eric pauses. "fun?" His breathing was fast, still trying to process everything that happened. You stood up in your seat, looking out at the goats. You notice Eric climbing out of the carriage. "Here let me help you." He says to the man, helping herd the goats into their shelter. You decided to climb out too, no longer interested in the carriage. Instead you were interested in the village. Eric turned to notice you no longer in the carriage. He looks around to try and figure out where you ran off too.

You found yourself in a crowded part of the village. You saw children run past you and people standing in front of stalls. You looked around in awe, unable to take it all in. As you walked past the stalls, people called out to you. They advertised whatever they were trying to sell. You jumped slightly as you saw a man bring a machete down on something. "Coconut?" He asks, holding the coconut out to you. You stare at it before walking away. "No? Ok then." You hear the man say, slightly annoyed.

You continued to walk around before being stopped by another person behind a stall. "Young boy, would you like some?" She asked, handing a bowl full of food to you. You take it, looking down to try to figure out what food it was. You begin to walk away with the bowl when she calls out to you. "Oh! I think you'll be needing this." She holds out a utensil. You recognised it instantly. Ariel had one of these. She said that scuttle had told her the land people called it a dinglehopper. She had demonstrated that they used it to brush their hair. You placed the bowl down as you took the dinglehopper from the woman's hand. You started to run it through your hair. You looked up at the woman, noticing a strange look on her face. The same look was on the face of a group of people who stood beside you. You were confused about the sudden judgmental looks on everyone so you slowly began to walk away from the stall.

You walk by another stall, this time stopping in front of it voluntarily. It was a stall that had many hats on display. "Would you like a hat?" The man asked you, only noticing you standing there. You grabbed at the hat he held in his hand.

"Oh, there you are." You turned to notice Eric standing beside you. You forgot you left Eric back at the carriage. You greet him with a smile before trying to place the hat on his head. The hat turned out to be too big for him as it fell over his eyes. He laughs as the man takes it off his head.

"No no, too big." The man says. "Try this" He says as he reaches down to grab another. Instead of waiting, you grabbed at the hat he was wearing and placed it on Eric's head. You walked off again, leaving Eric behind again. Instead you wanted to explore the village even more.

"Tropical flowers." You heard a lady say as she held a flower out to you. You weren't sure why everyone was offering things to you but you weren't mad about it. You grabbed the flower, smiling at the woman. You began to walk away as you took a bite out of the flower, assuming it was food. It definitely didn't taste as good as other foods.

You pushed through pieces of cloth that hung in front of you. You ran your hand over the silky fabrics. You loved this feeling. You looked in front of you, noticing a group of people dancing. You decided to join them. You began to dance with the people. Eric notices you in the crowd so he decides to join as well. He taps your shoulder to get your attention. You turn to face him as he takes your arm. You two started dancing together. He spun you around before pulling you in towards him. You grabbed at his upper arm as he pulled you in. This gesture caused Eric to become flustered. It didn't seem to bother you though as you continued to dance with him.

The rest of the day was just Eric showing you around the stalls. He had bought a lot of random things, some for you. He noticed you start to look tired so he decided to call it a night and to head back to the carriage.

"I love this time of night," Eric says, looking up at the sky. Sometimes you can see the eyes of creatures in the tree-" Before he could finish his sentence, he felt the hat get pulled off. "Hey!" He called out, noticing a bird flying away with it. You only got a quick glance at the bird but you could have sworn it looked just like Scuttle. "Hey come back with that!" Eric shouts as he starts to climb out of the carriage to chase the bird.

You followed him. You both ran through trees and bushes trying your best to follow the bird. "I think it went this way," Eric says. He turns back to face you asking if you were alright. You nodded at him as you continued to push through the trees. "Hey! Give me my hat back!" Eric shouts as you two finally caught up with the bird. The bird flies around for a bit before dropping the hat in a canoe. Eric rushes to where the hat fell. He climbs onto the canoe and grabs at the hat. "I didn't want to lose this." He says smiling at you. He places the hat back on his head. He looks at you run your hand over the edge of the boat. This sparks an idea.

Eric decided you two should have one little adventure before heading back to the castle. He pulled the boat from its resting place and placed it into the water. "Come on" He says to you, motioning for you to get it. You did as he asked, sitting opposite him as he began to row the boat. You looked around, taking in the new scenery. Eric found his eyes glued onto you. He loved watching you look around and being easily fascinated by everything you see. You brought your attention back to the boat and Eric. You look at the oars, deciding to place your hand on them and mimicking the motions Eric was doing.

"Do you want to try?" Eric asks. You smile softly. You got up from your seat and sat down beside him. You accidently tripped on your way over to his seat and found yourself on his lap. Eric had instinctively grabbed your waist, not wanting you to fall out of the boat. You remove yourself from his lap and sat in the spare space beside him. Eric pulls his hand away from your side, blushing slightly. You grabbed onto the oars, Eric placing his hands above yours to help teach you how to row the boat. The boat began to move behind a waterfall. Eric smiled at you as you started to get a hang of rowing. The boat came out from under the waterfall, entering a large free space of water.

"What a clear night." Eric says looking up at the stars. "You can see orion." He states. You look at him, confused about what he was talking about. Eric caught on to this confusion as he began to explain himself. "Oh, the sailors use the constellations to navigate the seas." He removes his hands from the oars, you did the same. He points up at the sky. "There's Orion" You look up at where he was pointing. He removes his hat as he goes to lay down. You decide to lay down beside him. He continues naming the constellations. "And there's Aries, the ram." He points to another set of stars "That's casseopaya"

Eric realises something. He laughs slightly. "That's funny, I still don't know your name." He looks at you as you continue to look at the night sky. "Let's see." He says, trying to think of a name to guess. "Is it.." He pauses before picking an answer. "R/n?" You turned your head slowly, a smug look on your face. You shake your head slightly. "No?" He whispers. "Could it be R/n?" You raise your eyebrows, a disgusted look on your face. "No, definitely not that." He laughs. "Um, how about Y/n" Your eyes light up. You were shocked he guessed it right. You turned your head while nodding. "Really?" He asks, slightly excited at the fact he got it right.. He wasn't sure if you were messing with him or not. You nodded again to assure him he was right. "Y/n" He repeats your name, this time in a quieter tone. "That's a beautiful name" He says, looking at you. You both turn to look back up at the sky.

You turn your head slightly. You couldn't stop smiling like an idiot. The boat flows underneath a tree, its branches dropping down to be able to touch the surface of the water. Eric turns his head, noticing your eyes on him. He finds himself blushing again. He decided to take a chance. He slowly leans in, you did the same. He closed his eyes before hearing movement. He opened them to see you sitting up. You had sat up, unsure of what he was doing. Was he trying to kiss you? You cursed yourself internally for reacting too fast at the gesture. Eric sat up quickly, glancing at you, then away, and then back at you. He felt embarrassed for taking the chance.

You moved back to your original seat, looking around as a bunch of fireflies came out from the tree. You looked around at the lights flying around you and Eric. Eric turns to look at you again. You looked back at him, smiling. Eric felt his stomach flip. He couldn't get over how cute your smile was. You both looked into the water after noticing a bunch of fish began to swim around the boat. The fish began to squirt water over the boat. You both watch in awe at the sight. Eric leans over the boat, trying to get a better look at the fish. This caused some of the water to splash onto his face. He laughed. You reached out, rubbing your hand on the side of his face to help get rid of the water.

He grabs at your hand as you pull it away from his face. Your eyes interlock for what felt like the hundredth time that night. He keeps his hold on your hand, noticing you not pulling away. Maybe he was right to take that chance. He decides to try again. He began to lean in. You did the same, this time deciding not to pull back. Before your lips could meet you felt the boat get pushed. This caused you and Eric to fall into the water.

Eric laughs as he emerges. "What was that?" He grabs at his hat that also fell into the water. You two began to swim, land not being too far from where you two were. Eric was still laughing as he shook the hat to try dry it off before putting it back on. He leads you back to the carriage as you two begin your journey back to the castle. After a long ride you two finally made it back to the castle.

You carefully climbed out of the carriage, trying not to slip. You and Eric made your way back into the hallway of the castle. "I think everyone's asleep." Eric whispers as you two slowly walk over to the stairs. Suddenly you two hear a voice. "Go go go, there" Eric says quietly pointing to the back of a wall. You rushed to the wall, almost slipping due to your feet still being wet.

You heard a woman's voice. "Has he been avoiding me?" She asked. Suddenly you heard a man's voice. You recognise this voice. It was Grimsby.

"No, your highness." He replied. You turn to notice Eric trying his best not to laugh.

"no?" She questions

"no!" Grimsby says, trying his best to cover for Eric.

"Well you seem awfully certain" The woman says.

"Well avoiding you doesn't seem like Eric, does it?" Grimsby said, trying to convince her.

"Then where is he?" She complains. "Oh, he's not searching for that fantasy person I hope." She adds.

Grimsby looks beside him as they pass where you and Eric were hiding in. He sees Eric's feet before answering. "No," He says sternly. "I can say that with certainty."

You hear the woman almost slip. "Oh! it's wet?" She questions looking at the floor. You and Eric laugh quietly, knowing it was wet because of you two.

"I'll look into it" Grimsby said, ushering her to go to bed.

"Thank you Grimsby, goodnight." She says before walking away.

Eric waits for her to leave before turning back to you. "Sorry about that, I wasn't supposed to leave the castle today." He laughs. "But I'm glad I did." You smile at him as he continues to talk. "all these rules." He pauses. "To be honest, I wasn't born into all of this. It all makes me feel a little-" You and Eric jump in fear when you hear Grimsby's voice cut Eric's sentence short.

"Welcome back sir" Grimsby says, very loudly to assert his presence.

"Oh! Grimsby" Eric laughs. He stammers a bit as you two walk out from your hiding space.

"I assume you two had a pleasant outing?" He asks.

"Ah yes we did. Didn't we?" He asks you. You nod. "Yes, very nice." You find yourself smiling at how awkward Eric is right now. Grimsby turns to face you.

"You've had a long day sir. I imagine we should let you get some sleep." He noticed how wet you and Eric were. "And perhaps dried off as well." He jokes.

"Oh uh yes." Eric says, wanting to explain the situation. "We took a rowboat out onto the lagoon but I'm afraid we ended up in it." He jokes. "Anyways" He turns back to face you. His tone quiets down. "Goodnight." You began to go up the stairs, heading towards your room. You remember Eric had placed his hat on your head on your trip back to the castle earlier. You turn around, taking the hat off of your head. You go back down the steps and place the hat back onto Eric's head. Eric bowed his head to allow you to easily place it on. "Goodnight, Y/n" He repeats, this time using your name. You two exchange one final smile before you head back to your room.

Idk what higher power convinced me from 11pm - 5am to just HAVE to draw Dream and Nightmare as horses from mlp (god dammit I’ve never even watched mlp) but HERE WE ARE

I put waaay to much time into these drawings not to color them so once I line them I’ll do that

Hopefully-

Anyway I wasn’t sure how to incorporate Nightmare’s tentacles in this design, buuut here were a couple of things I wanted to do/design choices and why:

I wanted to make them both alicorns with Nightmare having webbed wings (with hints of feathers and trauma)

I decided Nightmare was going to have armor and a royal vibe/aesthetic (like the king he is)

He also has horseshoes with pointed tips and ankle armor and neck armor cause yes.

I wanted to give him even more armor but I thought it would be too much

The cutie marks are their respective apples, but I wanted Nightmare to have, well, a Nightmare Moon thing going on where there was discoloration around the mark (excess of slime in this case)

I did want to incorporate sun and moon elements into the curie marks as well, but I figured I could do it in clothing instead to not overcrowd the cutie mark design and have it lose its meaning.

The slime around Nightmare’s cutie mark is constantly flowing and dripping off of him and if you looked closely his apple may appear purple instead of black through the drips

Ok while I’ve never really watched mlp I don’t live under a rock and I’m aware of how similar Luna and Celestia are to Nightmare and Dream, plus I looked up different designs and species and if you couldn’t tell Nightmare’s HEAVILY Nightmare Moon coded (she also slays btw I love her).

As for ideas about Nightmare’s tentacles I figured maybe he could have a sort of shadow magic maybe??? That acted like his tentacles in a way? Idk I’m workshopping it.

Or he could pull a Rapunzel and have his mane and tail act as his tentacles (which is kinda why his hair looks like that, as I wanted it to look slimy and thick, and for the “tentacles” a bunch of the chords would wrap together to create the tentacle like shape).

Idk mannnn I’m trying but horses and tentacles just don’t really go together juuuust sayin

I actually wasn’t gonna give Dream his cape/shawl thing cause I forgot he had it but I looked at Dream’s ref again and thought it was fitting enough.

Dream’s circlet got turned into a helmet cause I thought it would match Nightmare’s vibe a little more and I wanted to do more than just put it on his head ya know?

I’ve also been seeing designs with Dream having his hair braided and I thought it was fitting so while u can’t really see it, Dreams mane consists of a bunch of thick braids and the nape of his neck he just cut his hair cause otherwise his braids would get tangled in his wings so he said be gone lol. (Nightmare’s tail is also partially braided and I like to think he also braids his mane too into one large braid I just didn’t draw it that way :().

Ok, so I was supposed to draw one small fanart, but I got carried away and created an au ^^''

Jedi cats Au

(Disaster lineage edition)

Yoda: Small green cat with tufts of white fur on his tail tip and across his spine. He loves being cuddled by the younglings as he tells them stories(basically their therapy, grandfather cat) and going on occasional trips to Dagobah for meditation (at least, that's his excuse). What he really does there is hunting frogs(he claims they're good for his bones) and camping out in the swamp(the whole trip traumatizing Dooku in the process).

Dooku: Huge white cat with brittle yellow eyes and spiked-up fur. He doesn't change much in his cat form, but when he does, he spends most of his time sunning himself on the council chairs(you can't blame him, cats can't resist such a good sunning spot), skulks around the temple corridors looking elegant and graceful, and steals sith holocrons out of nowhere so he could 'study' them(they were later confiscated and thrown out of the temple when Qui found out). He never lets anybody pet him except for Sifo, Jocasta, Qui, and sometimes Yoda(his adoptive father figure), or Obi-wan(his grandson whom he's secretly proud of)

Qui-Gon: Greyish brown cat with long silky fur and leaf-green eyes. He mostly hangs out on the temple's huge tree or goes on trips to Lothal to have tea with Loth-cats and wolves. (The Loth-cats kind of worship him as their 'god', and the wolves invite him and his apprentice for night strolls and 'singing to the moon' meetings)

He also randomly adopts kittens(padawans; in this case, Obi-wan, Anakin, and recently Ahsoka)

Obi-wan: Small auburn cat with darker splotches and grey-blue eyes. He's smaller than his apprentice but twice the sassiness. Cody loves to cuddle him and stroke his soft fur for hours while talking about how his day went(Obi doesn't mind^^). As a kitten, he constantly kept Qui company while he studied at night(at least that's what he says when Qui complains about his student/son being annoyingly cute and knocking over his mug of tea on purpose every five minutes).

Anakin: Brown tabby emo with sky-blue eyes. He hates sand, is very chaotic in many ways, and has a talent for annoying Obi(he actually passes down his 'abilities' to Ahsoka, who becomes more like her master). He also holds a record of being the most troublesome padawan in existence.

Despite all this, Padme finds him adorable (he often sneaks out of the temple in his cat form to meet his gf), but Obi-wan and Ahsoka know better(sure, he's nice and charming, yet can also be pretty stupid and reckless).

Ahsoka: Sleek, lithe, orange cat with white tail and blue stripes. Her Lekku still exists in her cat form as well as her facial markings(the Lekku are used to communicate with other cats or Jedi, and also play an important part in balancing their bodies while they leap agily or pelt across obstacles at high speed).

Toruguti cats have very short, smooth fur on their bodies(the pelts are mostly an orangish hue, with blue stripes appearing on the back of their flanks as they get older), but their tails are often white, bushy and flecked with blue stripes.

She's one of the 501'th's favorites because she often hangs out with Rex and the clones(sharing stories, playing games... etc)(the clones especially love placing random things on her head until she moves). As her species are carnivores, she has an instinct for hunting small animals(sometimes leaving her half-dead prey on Anakin's desk like the cheeky adorable prankster she is).

A/N: First of all, thank you so much, this is such a cute request and because it got so long I didn't even get to the party part, I might have to write a second part for that. Then obviously sorry for taking so long, but I still hope you have a good time reading it! I decided on the Collage AU because where I'm from we don't really have an event that has so much significance like a prom and Collage AUs are just my passion now I guess.

Wait, really?

You stood outside, back against the white concrete wall of the building E where the natural sciences where located. A flyer whose aesthetics screamed graphic design is my passion by the way the green letters for End of Semester Party have been printed onto the orange background, the cheap paper already starting to disintegrate in your grasp. Maybe your hands were sweating because you were nervous, maybe because it was the middle of July and you had been standing in the midday sun for about half an hour by now, contemplating about a matter that had nothing left to be contemplated about.

The decision to ask Hange out had already been made weeks ago and every day you spend an hour over lunch with them and the occasional text had you received when the Marine Biology major had found another paper about some weird species with a long latin name, you scrambled for a good occasion to finally ask them out. The problem was just that all of their interests, as much as you adored them and were fascinated, were way out of your comfort zone and you really didn’t want to embarrass yourself on what could be a first date. But then you didn’t want to pressure them into anything they wouldn’t be comfortable with either. You weren’t exactly in the same social circles after all.

Like, you could just go somewhere and people would know you, there was always someone to talk to and that worked out just well for you but-

“Heyyy! Are you heading to the cafeteria as well? We’ll have to hurry up if we still want to find some good seats.”

As you whipped your head around, Hange was leaning against the wall next to you, wearing a t-shirt with a long fish captioned Wahoo (Acanthocybium solandri). You had no idea what this meant, nor how you did not hear them approach you, nor how the hell you were supposed to ask them now. So you didn’t.

“Sure, I was just waiting for you actually.” Well, that was true at least.

“Let’s hurry, I think they have pizza on the menu today.”

Hange waited for you to join them on the way, all too happy to tell you about their shirt. Wahoo was a real fish apparently that often was confused with mackerels or barracudas, but the name was funny.

Over lunch they asked you about your day, letting your rant about how bad group works were and then told you about that paper on this newly discovered sponge they read the last night, but in terms a normal person could actually understand. And when you asked about the other sponge paper you tried and failed reading after they send it to you, their eyes were just sparkling and they were brimming with excitement and it was just so infectious. You had never seen anyone be so happy about a sponge they wouldn’t ever get to see in real life. Just, how were you not supposed to have at least a crush on them?

Hange with their funny patterned shirts for every occasion, who was so unashamedly themselves and passionate about the things they loved while never hesitating to share this enthusiasm and passion with others.

So on the way back to the train station you finally whipped out the flyer as if it was sword to fight this battle with. Just that a crumpled piece of paper wasn’t exactly sharp enough to stand against the absolute boulder of how badly prepared you felt for this. It wasn’t like you to be that nervous. Although apparently now it was.

“Have you heard of the End of Semester Party? The student councils of the different faculties coordinated it together and every faculty will also have booths and games and stuff. So it’s not just about getting drunk or anything. I thought you’d like that, so I wanted to ask whether you wanted to go there with me?”

You felt like you sounded like an 80s teleshopping segment, all that was missing was a look at the camera and listing of the phone number to call to order the absolutely legit product.

“Wait, you mean like a date? You’re not serious, are you?” Hange laughed nervously, averting their gaze.

They thought you weren’t serious. The realization hit you like a cold bucket of water. Or the boulder, or maybe the bucket had this Wahoo fish in it, whatever nonsensical metaphor would be the most appropriate to describe a verbal slap to the face.

Was it because they wouldn’t consider you as someone to go out with? But then they would have just said no, or something nicer to reject you, they didn’t even have to bring up the date. Did they think it was some kind of prank? The kind of things that were always pulled off in highschool? Maybe Hange had bad experiences with that. People were assholes after all.

But Hange was the last person who deserved to be treated like that. Damn it, they deserved all the love and appreciation and being asked out, even if they would end up turning you down. You would deal with this somehow.

“Yes, I’m serious. A date on that party, you, me. I thought we could participate in those games as a team or so. Of course you don’t have to say yes.” At this point you were flailing around with your hands, or at least it felt like it. It felt awkward to show so much vulnerability first, but then, maybe it was the right thing to do. Hanges eyes widened slightly.

“Wait, does that mean you’re asking me out right now?”

“Yes, that’s what I mean.” After this you would be the most confident person in the world, because how the hell would you be able to keep talking now otherwise.

Hange covered their face with their hands. “Oh fuck, I’m so sorry. I screwed this up so bad.”

“What? No no, don’t be. It’s alright. Don’t worry about it.” Some beats of silence, or maybe it was your heart not beating, you were unsure. “If you want, you can think about it for a while. Don’t feel pressured or anything, it’s all good. I just hope we can stay friends.”

“Yeah, of course- I mean, we can stay friends. Ah no, I mean- I’d like to go to that party with you. On like the- the date. The date. With you. You and me. On that date. On that party.” Now Hange was flailing.

“Wait really?” You had this whole communication thing down, definitely. But then, being nervous should be okay. Considering Hange was just as much of a mess as you were.

“Yeah, really. I just didn’t think you’d ask me out. I mean I guess I haven’t really been asked out before? And then you’re so popular and I thought you already were in a relationship… seems like I was overthinking again.”

Hange just gave you the sweetest smile in the entire world as their tension eased and even let out this little laugh that you adored so much and if you weren’t smiling like some love struck idiot yourself you would be surprised. They had agreed and the happiness made you feel all fuzzy and happy and it was perfect despite the awkwardness, because it was just you and them.

“Not only you. But at least now we can be overthinking together. And you really need to tell me where you get those shirts from.”

So that’s what it was, a party, a date. Hange and you.

Watching every Dracula adaptation! #1

Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror by F. W. Murnau (German: Nosferatu – Eine Symphonie des Grauens) from 1922

We’ll be starting with the very first movie adaptation of Dracula (that isn’t lost media). The movie is free on YouTube, if anyone wants to watch it themselves. For the uninitiated, the movie is a black-and-white silent German Expressionist horror film. Well maybe it was a horror film in 1922 but from a modern point of view, the movie, especially the over the top acting is more comical than anything. As many might know the movie was an unauthorized adaptation and interestingly enough was supposed to be destroyed after they lost the copyright dispute.

Should you watch it? Eh, sure. It has a lot of funny moments and again it’s free on YouTube. Especially the people, that really like Johnathans and Minas relationship in the novel will enjoy that their relationship is a focal point in the movie.

Characters: Since the movie was made for a German audience and takes place in Germany instead of England, the character names have all been changed (there are versions of the movie with the book names though). I’ll be referring to the characters by their book names to avoid confusion (except for Nosferatu, since people know who that is). The movie names are in the brackets. Jonathan Harker (Thomas Hutter) is just a sweet, cheerful little guy who loves his goth wife. Mina Murray (Ellen Hutter) is quite different from her book counterpart, her actress constantly looks like she is plagued by visions™ and apparently has psychic anti-vampire powers. She is also my favorite part of the movie. Count Dracula is obvioulsy Count Orlok aka Nosferatu. There isn’t really much to say about the guy, he is pretty much exactly how you imagine him to be. Arthur Holmwood (Harding), Lucy Westenra (Ruth), Jack Seward (Dr. Sievers) and Van Helsing (Bulwer) are all relegated to side characters. Mina stays with Lucy and Arthur while Jonathan is away, Jack is also the town doctor apart from owning the asylum and Van Helsing is there to info-dump to the audience on various matters. Renfield (Knock) is actually Jonathans boss in this version before he gets sent to the asylum. (No cowboy in this movie, which I think will be a running theme with these adaptations.)

Plot and Book Differences: The movie follows a lot of the plot beats from the book. The big differences are that the movie begins before Jonathan starts his journey, all of Lucy’s plotlines being dropped and the ending. A new addition is also the theme of plague and disease, which has some very antisemitic undertones (much like Nosferatus design). The ending takes place in Wisborg (a fictional German town that is used instead of London) instead of back in Transylvania. Nosferatu is also not staked through the heart but killed by the sunrise. Mina also maybe dies at the end or maybe she just faints, it’s a bit unclear. Nosferatu also kills way more people in the movie than Dracula does in the book.

Interesting and/or Funny Moments: -Mina’s cat:

-Jonathan giving Mina flowers, her saying “Why did you kill them... such beautiful flowers...?!” and Jonathan reacting like that’s the most normal response ever -The Romainian townsfolk warning Jonathan about a werewolf, cut to a striped hyena they probably filmed at a zoo -all the scenes where characters talk about how it’s totally the middle of the night while the sun is blaring down on them. (I get that lighting a night scene in 1922 was probably almost impossible) -this clock:

-Nosferatu just straight up sucking Jonathans thumb after he accidentally cut himself -Jonathan noticing bitemarks on his neck and being like “must have been mosquitos (shrug)” (This happens after the thumb sucking btw) -Nosferatu seeing a picture of Mina and unironacally saying “Your wife has a lovely neck...” -the acutally very cool shadow effects they use for Nosferatu, especially the ones at the end of the movie -Nosferatu carrying his coffin by himself through the entire town while looking like a kid that got lost in IKEA

I sound schizophreinc but I swear I'm not. I feel like I'm onto something that I can't fully grasp yet but something like the show merging the concept of Marius and the Talamasca together somehow??? I don't know I need to watch S2 right now😭😭😭

So I am (not sure if you know but probably) firmly in the team "Marius is somewhere around and TWMBK are in the basement. And Lestat is probably there in his coma as well.".

For me (myself and I) all the hints point to that.

The painting, the comment re the prime minister, the groan, Fareed, Armand's little comment re serving a god. If the groan is Armand being annoyed or TWMBK will be something that will be interesting to see, but...

Marius has ties to the Talamasca (Raymond Galant), not only through his maker (though that is indeed a rather strong tie) but also through his contacts to it through the ages.

I absolutely believe that some of his painting will play a rather important role still in the show(s), especially since the set design emphasizes their meaning so much.

So yes. Marius' painting(s) in Dubai. I would bet anything that there are (at least a few) more in the basement. I would bet a lot that there is more than furniture in the basement, too. (In fact I think @cbrownjc might be right on the track in their fic installment, but that just as a note, this aligns to 99% with what I expect as well^^).

It's just the setup of it all. It carries meaning.

Like, Armand wouldn't hang that painting if some things haven't happened. And, as much as he loves/hates/wants Lestat... would he say Lestat is a god? Then again, him being sun-proof (and Louis not) puts us in such an interesting time frame in the books.... and that little easter-egg/hint with the "Book of Hours", too... because remember where that was mentioned?? Right, in Memnoch. By DAVID. David, who implies that they, aka the Talamasca, were tracking said Book of Hours... which had been lost in Berlin in the Second World War. (Btw, I will forever and for all time adore them if Louis just happens to lose some luggage with that darn book on his and Claudia's travels. Seriously. Please.)

Fareed and Seth... and Gregory. And Teskhamen. And Raymond. Hesketh. The Talamasca. Gregory's pharmaceutical empire and Fareed's research. (Which could easily produce special medicine for Daniel). Seth, Akasha's son. The paintings in the living room depicting "mother and daughter"... and "twins".

It's all connected.

And I mean.... knowing the last books... it's not really a far stretch that Marius is involved with the Talamasca. Leads them even, maybe :))))

The show is building up the lore in a quite incredible way, imho. I just hope they do not lose sight of all the threads, because this... if it unfolds over the next seasons as I suspect it will??? ... will be breathtaking.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 238: Shinjuku Showdown, Part 19

Oh boy oh boy. Another jjk chapter with Sukuna showing off why he is the KING of Curses. Beyond his strength, he speaks like a king to those he defeats, and his meaning is very esoteric.

I'm going to go full fanboy in this post, everyone, so please forgive me if you are here to hear bad things about jjk (you're weird, btw).

Perfection...Beautiful..

Kashimo looking at Sukuna with X-ray and seeing nothing but perfection is exactly what I feel looking at Gege.

But on a serious note.. Finally, seeing Sukuna's true form in action is insane!!! He looks so terrifying, and Kashimo knew that instantly. Sukuna not having any strain on his heart or lungs due to the build of his body is so damn impressive. I love seeing him flexing his perfection to Kashimo and then blitzes him.

I love this moment because it's showing how much Kashimo overestimated his ability to fight Sukuna. I knew Kashimo was a non factor, and Sukuna made it APPARENT. He literally showed Kashimo, he just was not that good, lol. (I was never a Kashimo fan, so this is nice for me).

Sukuna is quite truly beautiful. Gege gave him such a design to reflect him being the peak of jujutsu. I just want to say thank you to gege for following through so thoroughly on this.

Then to go even farther and give us Sukuna's feats against the great sorcerers of the past was even better. He defeated the Sun, Moon, and Stars squad that Uro was once a leader of. I love Gege doing this type of stuff, man!

If you remember, Uro's vision of calamity when talking to Yuta was Sukuna, and when Sukuna revived she knew it was him just based off his cursed energy. Gege made sure that all of this was continued by giving us more lore on Sukuna's final form.

It's these little things that really move me in story telling. Connects those dots for us!

We Are Loved Because We Are Strong

Sukuna's speeches to people after defeating them is becoming one of my favorite things in jujutsu kaisen. I already loved his moment with Jogo + his final words to Gojo, but now we can add Kashimo to this list, lol.

I love Sukuna mentioning Yozoru's words to Kashimo, because it directly reflects the short conversation we saw between Kashimo and Kenjaku. Kashimo wanted to go against Sukuna to feel fulfilled. Initially, I took this as a warrior fighting for the fulfillment of a real fight, or a true fight to the death. Kashimo is similar Gojo, where he felt all the surrounding sorcerers were below him, causing him to separate himself as an entity. However, this was dissatisfying for Kashimo. The difference between him/Gojo and Sukuna, is that the king of curses accepted that as a fact of life. Due to this fact, he saw the world as his playground, and anything that went against his desires were to be destroyed.

“You know the answer you seek, you just can't comprehend it, right..?”

I love this quote by sukuna. Implying that kashimo knew all along the answer to his soul's dilemma.

“Is strength solitude”?

That question is always known by the strong, but I think sukuna's lesson was to deeper understand how to live as the strong.

“You were strong”

I see this as sukuna reminding kashimo that because of his strength, love should be known. Those under you will love you because you are strong. He goes on to tell kashimo that the ones who challenged him did not do so to curse him, but to be recognized and to validate themselves. That itself is love, or maybe an easier word to translate it would be “admiration”.

Admiration however is a product of love. That is how sukuna connects with those below him. I believe Uraume is the example of this, as he/she has been by sukuna's side for seemingly the longest. That love Uraume has is most likely the best execution of love sukuna can have for one below him.

(it makes me wonder why uraume is so special)

Telling kashimo that he was strong, but also lamenting is greedy. Wow, sukuna... when you think about it, sukuna's outlook is very royal and fits that of a being existing on a higher frequency. What Sukuna is trying to relay, is that being the strongest comes with natural love (or being strong in general). It is when you begin to hate that strength or see it as a burden that you begin to lose sight of that love. Those around you love you for your strength, even those that challenge it have some form of admiration and search for recognition from that strength.

This takes me to when Nanami said to Gojo that he also once believed they should just send him out on every mission. Gojo felt that he could never be understood, and that burden carried with him his entire adult life. Before, he had Geto who he saw as his equal, best friend and dare I say other half. That is why he wished that Geto was there, patting him on his back. Gojo felt separated from everyone, even if he loved them, he still felt isolated. I believe that Geto was Gojo's “love” and that is why he could never truly feel satisfaction.. He could never save Geto.

(Sorry to go back to the sadness that is Gojo's separation from others as a human due to his exceptional skills as a sorcerer, but all of this ties in together so well).

Kashimo and Gojo both got “greedy”. They were strong, but also wanted to hate that strength instead of taking everything that came with it and finding true satisfaction within. Gojo felt pure isolation from his talent, while Kashimo felt lament because he could never have an equal. Both of these stemming from feeling the need for others to fulfill them, which is why Sukuna believes that...

Love is Useless...

Sukuna calls love useless. I find this so intriguing, because the “love” he spoke of was surrounded by the motif of “the strong”, and also he straight up says the thought of needing someone else to fulfill him never crossed his mind. He never thought that another person would give him the satisfaction he wanted, instead he put his desires first.

“I live according to my own stature. If that can't be measured or understood, that's not my problem”.

MEGUMI? YOU HEAR THAT?!

My god i hope megumi is listening. I talk with @theanimepsychologist about megumi coming back and also how sukuna is possibly his golden shadow. To expound on this train of thought, I see all of this as Gege playing deeper into Sukuna's role as megumi's catalyst.

In simpler terms, I see Sukuna & Megumi's dynamic on the same level as Mahito & Yuji's. Mahito propelled Yuji's understanding of being a jujutsu sorcerer, while Yuji propelled Mahito as a curse. For Sukuna and Megumi, Sukuna saw Megumi's technique as something to gain. There could possibly be more he plans on doing with the ten shadows specifically, giving him an even more powerful arsenal than he had before.

For Megumi, Sukuna was the first to make him see himself as a stronger person. The words “why did you run away” stuck in megumi's mind from the first fearsome womb chapters. That was when he discovered he could place things in his shadow, and from there he began to elevate each arc.

Sukuna being in Megumi's body right now feels like a terrible journey of enlightenment for megumi. I find it interesting that sukuna states he was born cursed and unwanted. Megumi talks as if he was treated the same way, even believing his father is still alive living it up somewhere. Megumi has no idea he faced his father in shibuya, or that his dad wanted him to be something outside the zenin clan. Even if he did end up there, he believed megumi would be okay because he was talented. Megumi never saw himself as wanted by his family, and his cope for that was Tsumiki.

Sukuna was different, he chased after his desires alone. He believed he could make himself happy, and that there was no one else who could fulfill that. Megumi losing Tsumiki is so difficult for him because he relied on Tsumiki as his heart and conscious. At first, megumi was indifferent, but expressed himself boldly. Tsumiki's positive outlook is what moved megumi, and that was all the family he had. Megumi isn't heartless as sukuna may naturally be, but his decision to save people has left him too selfless.

For megumi to return, I need to see his understanding of self-worth change. He needs to see his strength and importance as an individual to truly understand the love that comes from being strong. In order to save people, you need strength, but you cannot develop that strength without having a stronger sense of self to dismantle any sparks that fly your way.

"Its okay to be selfish"

"A jujutsu sorcerer's growth never comes easy"

(I could continue on about this megumi and sukuna connection but i think my point is made)

That is why Sukuna said love is useless. There is no need to look to another to satisfy yourself. To understand yourself is to understand your desires. And to be true to one's self is to chase after those desires without remorse. He hasn't changed a beat from when he spoke to Jogo, and I love consistency.

What Can You Do...Brat?

The final spread of the chapter was C R A Z Y! Uraume and Hakari break out of the domain with no damage on either person, while Higaruma and Yuij (with scales and claws??) begin to drop.

WTH?

My assumption is that they are going to try to get Sukuna into Higaruma's domain to win a trial and take away Sukuna's CT. This could work, but I'm worried that even without a CT, sukuna is still going to be very proficient in his raw CE usage unlike the other sorcerers Higaruma has faced. Maybe that is all they need to start the process to save megumi, or something else entirely crazy that only gege can come up with!

Truly endless possibilities.

Gege is continuing to Gege (whatever that means) and I will continue to not miss a beat. I believe we have a break coming up, so we will have to digest on this chapter a bit before we figure out what's going on!
