I hope you don't mind a few questions? Will her name stay alani or will it change? What are her colors? What pokemon does she get?
These are all great questions! and ope, this ended up being a long post too.
The name Alani currently is just a place holder name that might become permanent. I haven't decided yet. I also really love the names Mume, Moso, and Hazel.
I have a few ideas for her possible color palette which are shown above. If you have any suggestions please let me know!
To be honest I am not sure what kind of team she will have. I know I want her to become a pokemon professor who focuses on pokemon who can speak like humans, which makes building her final team kind of tricky. Outside of meowth, chatot, and I think doduo(?) all other pokemon who can speak are legendary/mythical pokemon which I do not want to use on her team.
I know in her early travels I want her to do pokemon contests because my favorite arc for Jessie was her contest arc. It was so good! Plus I love the trope of daughters following in their mothers footsteps, so her current team reflects that idea.
All of this being said her being friendly or friends with Mewtwo could be an interesting idea to play around with.
Some general notes I have for her.
Alain's personality is much closer to Delia's than James (Genetic donor) or Jessie's. She is a very quite child who always has a smile on her face. Unlike Delia she has a very hard time speaking up for herself. Can this child get sad or anger? It is hard to tell.
Please let her sleep. She loves nap time. You can often find her taking afternoon naps with Mewoth and Jessie.

so the little... lightning bolt things on ash's face are in delia's genes? interesting...
That's what I hc! iirc the little cheek marks are more of an anime thing to indicate that someone's a kid/young (similar to how we sometimes indicate little kids with those little blush circles or rosy cheeks) so I like to think Delia had them when she was little but then eventually grew out of them. But also they're so iconic on Ash that I can't see him without them, even as an adult. In that situation I think it just skipped Delia's generation haha
