Cait; Wouldn't think much of it. She was an addict, she's known lots of other addicts, she's known raiders. People who's heads get messed with, either with substance or by getting hit too much. Fighting and shit like grabbing a door handle are different. Her worry is that they'd need their motor skills in a fight, or in a retreat...Cait would gripe about helping them with anything if they ask, but she can respect someone who's useful when it matters.

Codsworth; Would offer a hand whenever they looked like they needed it, but otherwise wouldn't comment or acknowledge it. It would feel very improper. They've got things handled most of the time, and if they aren't in pain, he doesn't need to worry. Would consult wasteland doctors if he felt they were legit, get their opinion, but Codsworth isn't the type to micromanage.

Curie; Worried mama hen. Curie would hover and possibly overstep. She means well, but if you don't want help with something, and don't need it, someone insisting they help is very 🙃🙃🙃. This is the first time I've used emojis in a react, only because I cannot describe the emotion those ones convey. Anyway. Curie would look into motor skills disabilities/in general in hopes of finding a way to remedy their struggles, make things easier. Some people might appreciate it, others would feel really patronized.

Danse; Would send them to Cade every time they returned to the Prydwen, just to check up on things. Obviously can't so that post BB. Danse has probably seen this before as well, but since he'd be traveling with them, he'd see it more and in different ways. Small corridor and they can't walk straight? His power armor is huge and lacks agility. They're bumping into each other. This would be an exercise in spacial awareness for him.

Deacon; one of the more worried ones. They're both spies. They need to be sneaking. You need to be able to move straight, pick locks, quickly type on keyboards. He's pleasantly surprised to see that Sole is still good at what they do, but there's always a little part of him waiting for that Chekov's Gun to go off. Also tends to hover around them, especially in hostile areas.

Gage; Don't let anyone know they have this issue and Gage is fine. Raiders will sniff that kind of thing out and get dollar signs for eyes. Walk straight the best you can, or play it off as a personality eccentricity. Don't say shit, don't go for soda in public. Very confused how they beat the Gaunlet. Very confused how they have such a high kill count. Will only help them out if its time-sensitive.

Hancock; Takes him...so long to notice. Not because he's high, he just fully doesn't realize it. He spends time around alcoholics and chemheads. Like Cait, that's just...normal for him? Hancock will offer help with some things, and still not notice what kind of help he's actually providing. He'll realize out of the blue one day and barge into the room asking if they have problems, just to make sure he's right.

MacCready; As long as he's the sniper, there's no reason to worry. If they start eyeing scopes to add to their guns, he might sweat a little. If they're a pickpocket type, he's just sweating. Pickpocket, sweating bullets. This would turn MacCready off crime, watching them try to sneak whatever from someone's pocket, when just three minutes ago, they had to bite their bag's zipper. Leave the precision stuff to him. Please. Please for the love of god.

Nick; Look at either of his hands. He probably doesn't have such great motor skills there, either, purely because he's just so old and banged up. This is a major source of bonding. Nick is the least likely to have any worry or concern for them; he gets around fine, so can they.

Preston; Second longest to notice. Faster than Hancock, but it still long enough for him to wonder if they were always like that, or if they're injured in some way. His concern comes before combat—they fight just fine, its the getting ready. Flicking their safety off, getting the gun out, reloading. Preston tends to go in front, so they have some time to prepare before they get into the action.

Piper; Like Preston, worries about transitional periods. Downtime, they're fine, firefight, they're fine. But those little moments in between, oooh, does Piper worry. Piper will keep count of how many bullets they use and let them know to reload, switch to something else, etc. Basically tracks all the info around, gets it to them so they have a few extra seconds to think and fiddle with whatever they have to.

X6-88; They are forbidden from heights. They are to remain at least ten feet away from more than a three-foot drop. Area too small? Understood, we're not going there, we're leaving. No, I don't care who asked for what. X6-88 hates heights as is. Someone pirouetteing their way off an edge is not happening. He truly does not care about anything else. Can't open things? Whatever. Bad with precision? Whatever. You can't walk straight, you are not going near ladders, bridges, scaffolding, cliffs, maybe even stairs if he thinks they're too tall.

➸ It's common knowledge how devoted LUCIA is to Gray Raven, and this is true even in relative moments of peace between missions, too. She's a little awkward with it, but she wears her heart on her sleeve — just like how she wears the different scarves she bought in each of your favourite colours. It's actually really easy for her thoughts to return to you. Maybe she passed by a garden and got reminded of the plants Liv keeps, or saw a little malfunctioning robot and thought that Lee would be able to fix it in ten seconds flat, or caught a whiff of that food you said was your favourite — should she maybe get some for you...?

➸ She loves just spending time with everyone. Team dinners are a must for her! But... just let Liv handle the cooking. Lucia also seems like the type to make sure that you, Liv, and Lee all get to go to bed safe and sound, even if you haven't been doing anything except slacking off in the lounge — she'll walk everyone back to their rooms, or at the very least, ask you to send her a little message as soon as you get back.

➸ LEE has similar habits too, but he's just a little more awkward in showing he cares — not that he would ever admit as such. Just like Lucia, he feels just a bit more secure seeing for himself that you got back to your room unscathed. He also prides himself on being perceptive, and he has a tendency to fix problems you or the others might have before you notice them. Have you had trouble waking up lately? No worries, the little robot he gave you now alarms twice as loud!

➸ Lee also made it a point to remember your routines. He has a habit of scolding you if you stay up later than usual, or sighing in that disappointed way he does if you forget to eat a meal. He'll usually go off on some tangent about how a Commandant should be more disciplined than that, but if he's being honest, he just wants to make sure you're healthy. Humans are fragile compared to constructs, he would often say to you, and to Liv and Lucia, We need to maintain our performance, don't we? But that doesn't explain how involved he gets even in little things like double checking everyone's weapons to make sure they're absolutely fine, or even just walking just a bit closer to you if he sees you're uncomfortable or uneasy in any way.

➸ Caring for everyone almost comes as second nature to LIV, even if you or the others would fuss over how she has to care for herself, too. Honestly, she just loves when she's able to help you all in some way — the smiles on your faces and your heartfelt thanks are enough to put a spring in her step for a good while. She also likes messaging everyone little good morning or good night greetings, just to say hello or wish you sweet dreams even if she's already done so in person. Aside from that, she's usually the first to notice when one of you is upset. Maybe your shoulders are a bit more tense than normal, or you're glaring unusually hard at a random spot on the floor. At times like these, she'll gently pluck whatever you might have in your hands away, or lightly put a hand on your shoulder, and insist you get some rest with a smile — she'll even get you something warm to drink to calm you down; how about that?

➸ Liv has memorised everyone's favourite things by now, like whether you prefer coffee or tea or neither, which table at the cafe you all tend to sit at, what kind of colours everyone liles to wear when theyre not in those stiff uniforms. She also has a habit of picking up a few extra things for everyone while she's out and about — Lucia, didn't you mention you were looking at this frog plushie in the mall? Lee, you needed an extra set of tools, right? They had your favourite in stock again, Commandant, you don't mind that I got you some, do you?

hi so this isn't meant to be mean at all! but um, pit madness isn't...a thing. like, at all. the only cases that can be made for it is characters like ra's, who had prolonged exposure to it, but characters that have been dipped just once (jason, cass, damian, etc) aren't mentally affected by the pit in canon at all. at least during post-crisis, jason didn't Have a rule about not hurting kids—that was not his version of bruce's no-kill rule, it wasn't a hard rule of any sorts. he was an asshole. that was his whole character after he came back during post-crisis, until the n52 reinvented him (and the n52 decanonized all he did after he came back. so it didn't change what he did and why he did it, and since we're now in a hellscape where everything is canon, his motivations (is an asshole that chose to take out his daddy issues on a kid) are still the same they were back then, nothing changed.) he also mocked, kidnapped and blew up the school of a teenage csa survivor BECAUSE he was an asshole, so if he had any sort of "rule", it was one he made many exceptions for.

also, ra's had no interest in tim until red robin, he didn't gaf about tim back then past him being another one of bruce's robins. talia didn't influence jason's decisions; she was struggling to keep that guy in line during lost days.

this isn't saying you can't like jason—hell, i love him. but he did all that shit because he wanted to. he chose to do it, and sure he wouldn't have made them if he hadn't died and come back angry and hurt and struggling, but he did. and pit madness or saying talia made him/manipulated him to do it (which i think plays into the racist stereotype surrounding talia, but i digress) feels like absolving him of all wrongdoing for his own actions.

once again, saying all this in good faith, but it gets sort of annoying watching people make it seem lile jason didn't CHOOSE to be an asshole. for a while, he was just an asshole.

Fam. I get you're saying that you came here with good intentions, but all I'm seeing is you jumping in my inbox to "um, actually" me, which is, quite frankly, rude and unappreciated. No one likes to get "um, actually"ed. Especially over personal interpretations of things.

What all this really tells me is that you put on some selective reading glasses and chose to take offense to my tags in particular on a post that *checks notes* was initially about Tim having no obligation to forgive and forget Jason being an asshole to him. Which, fair. Point to that. But then the addition to the post was about *checks notes again* how the writing for Jason's comeback was all over the place, skewed, and completely dissonant with how his character was before. But the add on also offered some nice perspective on why people liked to use pit madness as a plot device (which, frankly, there has been other instances outside of Ra's displaying it. i.e. the first person dunked in the pits literally came out made and killed Ra's wife. It's just DC can never expand on the little bits of lore they drop surrounding this without either completely forgetting it or retconning it.)

But back to the point. Which was that people like the concept that pit madness brings to the table. They like using it as a means of explaining the shitty writing of "canon". Do some people over do it and use it to absolve him of all his sins without consequences? Yeah, and it's not great, but it's whatever. And I never said that I want it to absolve him of being an asshole. I said I liked it being A factor to skew his thoughts. The can also apply to other concepts that I toyed with in my tags.

Can Jason still be an ass just to be an ass? Yeah. He can. But I'm not here to explore canon's desperate fixation on toxic grimdark bullshit. And you can't say in one breath that something is canon, but then in the next say that canon is a hellscape where nothing makes sense. That's contradictory. You get how that's contradictory, right? Canon doesn't even know what's canon, plan and simple, that's why so many people disregard it in the first place!

I could go out and pull up receipts to counter a bunch of other things, but frankly, I don't need to keep justifying how and why I play around with ideas and concepts. So please, next time you feel the need to come into someone's inbox to "correct" them. Don't. You just make an ass of yourself.

I hardly see kayn falling for someone out the the shadow order since he is mostly busy with master zed's mission, being an acolyte and his own goal to conquer rhaast power

So you're most likely a member and we'll stick to it

Unlike most people in the order you were bubbly and full of joy, most of them were orphans who lost theur family because of war, they had to grown up too fast and that's why most of them don't show much emotions

And if they do, they're mostly negative because they don't know how to deal with them

Your adorable personnality and bright smile make people drawn to you like a bug to a light

Since in their life you're most likely to be the brightest thing

But of course not all acolyte saw you as someone who can deal with shadow magic

Kayn was one of them, he fought that your persobbality didn't matched what was required to master shadows, and that in the end you'll be killed by these

But he was wrong

You were cute and adorable but not naive, you were mentally strong, event stronger than some of zedns student since most of them live while knowing only hatred and anger

One time kayn and you were both sent to a mission outside of Ionia, that's when kayn saw what you were really made of, and started to respect you a lot more

Things progressed slowly from there, from mutual respect to friends, and after kayn kept quiet about his crush for you for almost a year he finally confessed

You happily returned his feeling telling him that because of his always grumpy face you never dared to tell him what you felt

Your dynamic as a couple is definitely "someone will die" "of fun!"

Even rhaast sight when he start to hear you babbling happily about whatever when kayn is just there and nodding along

You hugged kayn by surprise once and he made a squealing noise out of shock you're not ready to forget, so surprise hugs became a routine

They aren't surprising anymore but kayn love to indulge and pretend you surprised him

He has the biggest poker face while you hug his arm with a bright smile, he can give you a headpat, but that's the only thing he'll do in public to show you affection

In private however he is much more attentive, not romantic, lovey dover or cute himself, but he touch you more, hug you more, kiss you more, becuse it's the two of you

When you go on separate mission he always kiss you on the forehead, a simple gesture to tell you that you'll be reunited

Master zed approve deeply of your relationship, he think that someone lile you has a good influence on kayn

He is less stressed, less angry, and less likely to be consumed by the darkin

Sometime grab kayn's cheek and use them to make him have a weird face, he never complained about it because in the end he always receive a kiss

Sometime he want to make you happy and indulge you in a piggy back ride

And you convinced him to bring you back to the order like this, he thought that since it was night everyone would be asleep

They were not, and teased kayn for a month straight about it

He never gave you piggy back ride after that

Assigning every Survive kid a crest (because I can)

Yes I know a lot of these kids parallel Adventure characters, no I don't think that means they should have the same crests. You're gonna look me in the eyes and say you think Knowledge fits Minoru or Friendship fits Kaito? Nah.

I'm also gonna go by the 01 concept of 1 crest per kid, but I'll point out times where I was tempted to give someone two.

Starting with our main protag boy, Takuma: Friendship. Did you expect anything else? He is the embodiment of "my friends are my power." Half the gameplay is him building relationships with everyone, and everything he does is for his friends. I WAS tempted to give him the usual main protag Crest of Courage bc of what happened in part 7...but I don't think he exemplifies Courage as much as he does Friendship.

Anyways moving on to who I DID give the Crest of Courage to: Minoru. I know that seems like a contradiction in light of how he ran screaming from Falcomon and left Aoi in the dust that one time...but his overall adventurous spirit, the fact that he overcame his initial fear and charges ahead even when he's visibly shaking, and the way he puts on a brave face to keep everyone's spirits up makes him the most qualified for this crest in my eyes. He's even got the right color scheme (obviously that's not actually why I picked him but I couldn't not point it out.)

I've already stopped keeping to a consistent format what is this post

Whatever, next up is Aoi. To her I give...Reliability. Because who in this group is more reliable and does more to keep everyone alive and together than Aoi? I wanted to give her Kindness because of how gentle and empathetic she is, but I didn't wanna double up on crests, and I kinda already gave that one to someone else who DEFINITELY wouldn't exemplify Reliability the way Aoi does.

Full stop before I actually say it, can you guess who I did give the Crest of Kindness to? Bc like in my mind I'm lile "lol it's so obvious" but then I realized it's probably only obvious to me cuz it's my own brain.

Yeah it's Ryo. And not just because he has a worm partner! Going back to what I just said about being gentle and empathetic, I think that fits Ryo really well. Sure he's aggressive and decked Shuuji in the face that one time, but like...he really understands how other people feel and doesn't want them to suffer. He empathized with the amusement park kids because he could tell they were scared, and he wanted to save Miu because he didn't want her to go through anything like what he did. The way he loves Kunemon and the way he stood up for Lopmon also proves to me how incredibly kind his heart is.

So that's where I put the Crest of Kindness, but as you may have noticed, I also didn't give the squad mom the Crest of Love. It will either be a total shock or the most expected thing in the world to you depending on how similar your brain is to mine to know that I gave THAT crest to Kaito. I legitimately for my life cannot think of another crest that would fit him better or another character who the crest makes more sense for. If crests are a source of power, then there is no one who draws strength from love as much as Kaito does. And like, I think Miyako in 02 kinda proved that "feral gremlin who can and will physically assualt someone with 0 hesitation if need be" and "digidestined of love" are not mutually exclusive.

I'm gonna go ahead and say something I don't think anyone's gonna argue with me in the replies over and say that Shuuji would be Knowledge. I mean he basically becomes the Professor's apprentice and helps solve the huge mystery behind the Other World so... I know his fear outweighed his curiosity in the beginning and there was a point where he seemed too close-minded for the Crest of Knowledge, but I do think this crest is one that he grew into by the end. I mean even in Adventure, the kids had to ACTIVATE their crests, yeah?

And I know I said I didn't want to double up on crests but also Akiharu Minase is definitely a digidestined of Knowledge. His dedication to pursuing the topic he wanted to know about even when no one believed in or supported him makes him SO perfect for that crest, and knowing that he's been like that since he was a kid just makes me more certain. If I were to give him a different crest, it would be another double, and it would be courage again. He really throws himself in front of danger without a second thought if it means protecting someone, and my god do I love him for it. But also he's a freaking Professor did you think I WOULDN'T pick Knowledge?

Speaking of Minases, Miyuki would be light. Of course she would be. She's obviously special, she's everyone's light in the darkness that they need to get home, and even her personality shines so brightly.

Getting to Saki and Miu. The reason I saved them for last is just that...even though I said I didn't think EVERYONE should share a crest with their Adventure 01 counterpart, I also don't think NOBODY should. That being said, you probably know exactly which crests I'm aboutta give them.

Saki is Sincerity. Yes she lied and kept a secret about herself, yes she's overly worried about how she's perceived by others. Despite all that, I don't think there was ever a point in the game where she wasn't still true to herself. Even Aoi admired how Saki would always do what she wanted and believed was right, even if it might not be what others would agree with. She always spoke her mind, whether it was about splitting up the rooms by gender or about Shuuji being a dick in part 5. She could be a little hard to read and a little unpredictable, and she could keep things to herself, but she was never FAKE. Saki is and always was just...Saki.

And last but not least, I believe Miu would have the Crest of Hope. Anyone who could go through everything that she did and still believe in the good of others, believe that things can get better, and never ever give up is the very embodiment of hope. for seeing if you like the general vibe of the show i suggest The Wedding Job or The Bank Shot Job (both season 1) and the best ot3 episode is the iconic The Rundown Job (season 5) but there are also many individual good episodes for each pair of the ship

the first ep kinda shows its age(it first aired in 2008), but by the second episode they already have their groove on tbh, it also has the best final episode of any show ive ever seen bc they had an ideal ending in mind from the beginning and ended each season as if it might be their last just incase they got cancelled (they did, but then they also made history by winning being the first cancelled show to win a people’s choice awards the next year), and they had just enough time after they got the news to implement their ideal ending

it honestly is the most perfectly made show ive ever seen, the characterization is consistent, there’s no unnecessary contrived plot twist or weird forced drama or overly dramatic miscommunication plotlines (there’s only one sort of miscommunication b plot off the top of my head and it makes sense for the characters and was resolved at the end of the episode, it was also shockingly cute)

by that i mean, the leverage team are good at what they do and they know it and do it WELL, anytime something does go off the rails for them its never for lack of skill or ability or dumb mistakes that make no sense for the characters to make, it’s beautiful, they’re beautiful, i love them all,

and every character has rich backstories and character development!!!! and by the end they feel like the same people just more mature, everything is very natural and well written

also, and this is v important to me bc im trans, it’s trans safe! there’s not any trans characters, but the one time there’s a trans joke it’s specifically about one of the guys on the team accidentally using a woman’s pass to get thru security and he gets thru by saying he’s trans and making the security guy panic about being perceived as transphobic, it’s not perfect but it aged surprisingly well tbh

also real talk they’re all queercoded as hell, like the argument could be made for nate that he’s painfully straight which is fair but tbh whatever he and sterling have going on between them is at least a little gay by season 5

anyway go watch leverage and fall in love with the ot3

my investment in genshin this time around has been much much shorter lived than expected

this is just a sleep-deprived 5 am rant bc i cannot sleep

i mean, part of it might be spoilers but also the lack of building up to plot that I missed (since my friend played some of the story while using my account as an alt). the issue is that i dont care enough about inazuma’s plot to look it up and see what happened. like ive met ei. i did her second quest. i know enough about raiden shogun to guess. i dont give a single fuck about kujo sara so watching her short-lived fallout from ideology is frankly unappealing. kokomi i liked only bc of a fancomic and the in-game version is much more disappointing. i still forget gorou exists. doing kazuha’s quest is frankly wasting the time i spend alive. i think there’s other characters in inazuma but i keep forgetting who they are so it’s like, whatever

why are itto and shinobu the only two characters from inazuma i actually like???

it is just impossible for me to be invested in inazuma story, and the same issue is happening in sumeru. sumeru the problem is a mix of spoilers but also that i am SO DONE with the traveler having three personality traits

1. i single-handedly saved countries. pay my allies no mind. isn’t it great i owned the jade chamber and that the anemo god is still awol and whatever the fuck went down in inazuma?

every time i think im getting invested the focus shifts from characters and their interactions (i thought!!! little sick rich lady and body guard pyro lady and dancer hydro lady had a nice thing going on!!!) back to the traveler and their bullshit quest to go see the dendro archon (for what???? honestly if the writers REALLY cared about the story the motivation would stop being flimsy-ass lets travel teyvat uhuhuh and more ‘that dainsleif fellow is my closest link to finding my awol sibling and if i cannot find my sibling or the god that yeeted us here then by GOLLY i will track dainsleif and other khaen’riah survivors/relics across teyvat until i find one of them again)

(which like!!! could work really well for inazuma and sumeru bc 1. vision stopping might be sus enough for traveler to suspect abyss involvement. but also they got hit really bad by the cataclysm and 2. i havent done the quest yet but there’s a huge-ass ruin guard??? just lying around??? also the irminsul tree links whatnot)

MY POINT IS

i really hate that there’s no motivation to travel around and i hate the boastful traveler and i hate paimon’s screechy voice (i went back to see clips of mond and her voice is SO MUCH LESS SCREECHY) and i really, really fucking despise the grinding

why does every new character need a specific artifact. why do we have to grind so much. if i want to use any of my cast of characters i have to grind the fuck out of them first or they die in three seconds or do nothing. heaven forbid your character scale off anything but attack or hp with how rare things like energy recharge are. like

i thought it was just that i disliked fighting games. im kinda bad at them. and i dont like genshin fighting. i keep wanting to play a ton of rpgs (assasin’s creed, mass effect), but i get tired thinking about fighting. but then i realized, im like 40+ runs in on hades and still going strong. and that game is pure combat.

i just hate games where the combat feels meaningless

at least in hades i know each run brings me slowly closer to escaping the underworld. in genshin after grinding for a full hour (a bit longer than a long slow run in hades) i’ll be lucky if i got anything of use. maybe if you just fight bosses for ascension materials. otherwise get fucked

it just exhausts me and not even puzzles or exploration can make me not feel tired at the idea of playing (And god, i hate the aranara quest run around collecting seeds things.... it could be worse but it could also just be lile. a puzzle instead of dash dash dash con)

anyway i think imma take another break, probably shorter since genshin is what i play when i am bored simply bc its there and easy and i can quit after 5 mins with zero progress lost. a realization brough to you by the realization i was only logging in to get primos for nahida, who i have not met and whom spoilers did not endear me to (also she’s a kid character and except for klee i universally am extremely indifferent to them), whom i was told is “ultra good” for fighting and spiral. and who i’d still have to build up. on the off chance i win 50/50

#anyway the fact that every genshin player who likes the characters and the story just has an elaborate version of the plot and characterizat #where things are actually good #explains a lot about the hugely disparate characterization styles in fic and comic #aLSO ON THAT NOTE #the huge cast of pullable characters from the get-go is such a bad move story-wise #bc u do not have enough time to get invested in a character before they ship you off to the next money grub #like i get why they do it #gatcha game and all #but like #mond and liyue each kept a cast with you side-by-side from the start #mond it was jean starters diluc and venti #so 6 characters #and liyue it was childe and zhongli #so 2 #and the others got peppered in as needed #but inazuma kept punting you off to new gatcha waifu every three scenes and sumeru is doing the same #ffs

Hello! I'm attempting to grow a Tumblr garden, with input from people around here to make a series of short stories about' houseplant fairies. The hope would be to have a 'community tumblr garden' full of all the wholesomeness the internet can offer.

Here's the request/seed - do you have a prior worry' or 'stumbling block'. perhaps an event or a piece of advice others told you that didn't help much or simply an' obstacle that you overcame. To be honest, I'm unsure of how to accurately describe 'the seed' but something in the realm of 'society expectations versus what actually helped- or whatever you wish? Also also, favorite plant/houseplant/ flower to write the story about.

Oh yes I saw this on my dash before it's very cool! I'll try to see if I understand correctly. Since perfectionism was already talked about I'll do another struggle of mine.

I worry a lot about interpretation. In real life I think very hard about what I say and try to make it perfect so as to not offend anyone, or so that no one can take what I'm saying the wrong way. In my writing I feel as if I have to explain why I added each little detail before I realized that a lot of things are audience interpretation. They're not going to see it the way I do but I still worry that they'll get the "wrong" interpretation.

I'm held back in what I say and do because of this, and my writing as well. They say to "be yourself" but what if myself rubs them the wrong way? So I guess it's like feeling like you want to desperately speak your mind but your on mute.

I try to remember that people will always think differently than me and to not be afraid what people will say. I'm responsible for what I say, not for what people think I said.

And for plants...it's so hard to choose! I'll have to go with the California Poppy. It represents freedom which is something I'd like to feel more of when I want to speak. (and its pretty)

This is a really cool project thanks for involving me!

I saw Barbie last night, I dont think i have a long film review of it for yall but idk I'll put some thoughts under a readmore I guess?

-Right off the bat, I enjoyed it, it was fun. It was a fun pink poppy romp. Thats about what I expected of it, and thats pretty much what I got

-Its not particularly radical in its gender/feminism takes, its very basic, which, I saw a number of ppl mention that before I saw it so I wasnt expecting anything radical. It couldve done better. it was. fine. im shrug about it i guess.

-My mom enjoyed it and was apparently not expecting any sort of emotional depth or story at all so it caught her off guard. I heard her crying. she cries easy at movies. I'm glad my mom liked it. Maybe she'll absorb some of the very basic feminism it drops idk.

-I knew the Kens adopted patriarchy and introduced it to Barbieland but it felt lile that happened very fast, idk.

-The ending....I. is her going to a gynecologist supposed to be like. shes gotten a vagina by deciding to be human?? or is she trying to schedule a surgery or something? that felt pretty weird to me if im honest, i thought it was gonna be a job interview or smth... Especially with how everyone was like "Barbie is ace (heheeh i agree) cos she has no genitals! (sorry what. excuse me. wanna run that by me again?)" like okay that makes that headcanon reasoning even more dewply uncomfortable that it already was?

-I enjoyed weird Barbie. i wish theyd cast someone else cos iirc ka/te mckin/non was a transmisogynist? unless she apologized or said she changed her mind on the topic since like 2017?? but i havent seen anything? idk. just. annoying to keep platforming these ppl. i guess theres probably other actors involved that have shit views of trans ppl. whatever i guess.

-I did dress up a little. i feel like my outfit had Weird Barbie Vibes. maybe ill post a pic.

-I did enjoy it and it had a number of shots and or transitions i liked, i think the one with the disco ball to the moon or whatever was enjoyable.

-god we really are so weird about barbie

-it just feels factually incorrect that all dolls pre barbie were baby dolls? idk. im sure it was the most common kind. but idk. not to be weird about The History Of Dolls but like. the porcelain dolls from the Victorian era. idk if those count as baby dolls. iirc those were to help young girls practice prepping dead bodies of loved ones for funerals or smth??? but i guess porcelain dolls have a sort of babyish look about them. and are fragile so you cant play rough with them.

-Like i Know its a 2hr long toy commercial for mattel but also god that cant be right. even if they werent filling the same niche as barbie as idk basically a fashion doll? there had to be other dolls right?

-I know the flat foot thing is Supposed to be over the top and silly for them all to get upset about but also tbh. as a bitch with falling arches the way some of yall make jokes about flat feet still is uh. well. rude. but also lmao man. the day my arches started hurting for no reason while i was barefoot did sorta feel emotionally like her feet falling to the ground lol.

-i want to introduce barbie to margot robbie's harley quinn owo. i think that would be Fun :3

-i want Ken's job. how do i do Beach as an occupation.

-I actually liked how they handled Ken and Barbie's rship til the end. i feel weird about that ending overall and also it feels weak wrt her dynamic as Ken. they make him grapple w her not reciprocating his feelings the same way but then she just leaves barbieland anyway?? and ig they dont get to explore a friendship or qpr dynamic. ok. its fine i guess.

-her saying she has no genitalia felt so transgender in a way im not sure it was intended to. ken saying he has all of the genitalia felt even more transgender. headcanoning them both as extremely transgender in fun weird new ways and no one can stop me.

-Allan is my favorite character i think. bro me too

Im really sorry to say this but not gonna lie, in order to save Mikey, almost half of their friends gone, even Takemichi did succeedd save Mikey from the darkness at thr end, it kind of a bit useless (?) Because once Mikey realized all of his friends gone beacuse of him, it's gonna hurt himself more and make all the situation getting worse.

Apparently, i really dont understand what Takemichi thinking about all of this, he shouldnt save Hina in the first place, like just accept her death ( cruel, i knew but it kinda selfish to let your friends die just like that) but whenever i think about this again, the intention of someone that push Takemichi off the train, probably knew about his time leaper, and use him to "save Mikey" , that's means, it's never about Hina but Mikey.

Takemichi could just accept the future itself, it make others suffer in order to save one person, when i think again, Takemichi might just want to let the future just like how it was, but just like he said, someone might mess the future while he in the past, so that Takemichi keep struggle with the past which leads to another hint of what really happened and those works behind the shadows, Kisaki just a beginning planner, there must be someone else.

i hopefully Takemichi manage to do whatever he try to archieved.

Im not sure how the ending gonna happened, but i dont think Takemichi and Mikey will ended up in happy ending like they became a friend, if one of them die, Mikey die, then, the rest of their friends' death were useless, if Takemichi die, Mikey will ended up with nothing. What about Sanzu ? I think he might under arrested after the fight. I dont think he feel sorry for what he does, or , only it involved with Mikey's death, he probably changed a bit.

About Hanma Shuuji. He is referring himself aa a grim reaper and even his manga cover , he dressed like a grim reaper. That's the obvious thing about him, he might or not the time leaper , but he probably knew which person gonna die next. We all knew how grim reaper really is, they took the soul of those supposed to die, and just like how he said "those people failed to die" which he knew that Hakkai, Mitsuya, Chifuyu and Akkun supposed to die in the future but they didnt, The Grim Reaper knew the death beforehand, so, the 2nd time leaper might be someone else.

Hanma is a grim reaper and he might not a 2nd time leaper. That's why he knew who gonna die next but still shut about it.

There's theory about him, a grim reaper and a clown. He told the story at the Kisaki's grave on 2008, which 3 deities already existed, at the time, he might did an agreement with Sanzu. An agreement that we all probably never knew, Hanma is a type of hard person to get know, we doesnt know what kind of person he really is, he love violent and fun, sure but other than that ? He provably silently planned something behind the manga.

I can see that Sanzu and Hanma have something similiar in a type of way they living their life.

I consider myself something of a Champion Misogyny Ignorer when it comes to media I enjoy but I recently had this realization that hey, if I have to try so hard to ignore the misogyny in a piece of media in order to enjoy it at all, maybe its better to just not enjoy it, and thats been goin well. And Im like, two thirds into the first episode of season 2 and good god. The way Hannah gets treated is like, borderline unbearable

I think the worst thing about it is just how idk, docile? vulnerable? she is. Like, when I was watching this for the first time I didnt realize that Hannah was a demon until they flat out say it during Alois weird mind maze and yeah, I was mainly just really stupid not to realize that but I think a big part of the reason I didnt realize was that Hannah just acts so human. And i mean more human than Sebastian or Claude or any of the shinigami, because the supernatural beings in Black Butler do act very human and I appreciate that but. ugh Idk how to properly describe it. Hannah seems a lot more receptive to pain and a lot more afraid of being in pain even though I feel lile she shouldnt because demons clearly have a very high pain tolerance. At the end she has this sortof heel turn where shes suddenly a lot colder and more evil (for lack of a better term) so I feel like the intention was that her being all weak was just a facade, but I dont really remember them showing any indication that she was just acting for those 12 or so episodes because the writers dont seem interested in her character beyond her being A Woman Who Suffers Immensely (although admittely, my memory is pretty shit so it might just be me)

I feel like if they wanted to keep the stuff where Alois tortures Hannah and only Hannah and also wanted to keep her as very passive and docile, they couldve easily just made it so that Hannah showed no reaction to being physically hurt but then to show that Hannah is still like, gentle and sensitive or whatever, she could be seen crying later or something. They couldve also tied this into Alois behavioral issues because his Big Thing is that he wants to be loved and you could expand that into him wanting any kind of emotional connection, so he abuses Hannah bc he thinks like "oh, well if she hates me its like she cares for me" or something Because Alois spends all his time in this big empty manor with all these demons who barely pay more attention to him than necessary and I feel like thats Not Great for his mental health. Idk if Im really making sense here im just kinda writing shit down
