Timeskip queerplatonic huntlow who don’t kiss each other on the mouths is literally canon and that’s why they didn’t kiss, everyone else just can’t see that and is in active denial
But seriously, i mean compare them to the way that Luz and Amity act, where their relationship is very clearly meant to be a ‘typical’ relationship (I use the quotes very heavily to mean a romantic relationship where those involved start as wrecks around each other, then go on to date and kiss and stuff).
With Hunter and Willow, before the timeskip neither of them ever fall apart around each other like Lumity did, yknow?? Sure Hunter gets flustered but he’s Hunter I think that’s just what he does. Their ‘confession’ is literally ‘I care about you alot’ and not ‘I love you’ and they don’t kiss they gently press their hands together and hold each other’s fingers gently!! The fact that even in timeskip they just. Are physically close to each other and that’s all. No kissing, they’re just comfy with each other. And that FEELS so different to me from the way the other romances in the show are presented (where even Eda and Raine have those moments where they’re flustered and fall apart around each other a bit). I WILL take that and say it’s queerplatonic but maybe I am too aroace and delusional and insane to form rational opinions
Anyway QPR huntlow for the win. If you ship huntlow romantically I will laugh at your pain for not getting your confession and kiss scene (I joke, I like the way it’s so open ended. It doesn’t matter so much what the relationship is except that they’re safe and happy in it, and I personally like to see them as a QPR, to me it feels more cozy and heartfelt)

Cowboy Bebop Netflix pre-watch thoughts
Hello! I'm back from vacation! It is also now time for the live action Bebop! I've been trying my hardest to avoid spoilers of Any kind before I go in, but I wanted to spend a bit giving my thoughts pre-watch before I just in, and also make some posts during and after. I've got a couple things spoiled alr ady so I won't be going over those now (mostly because my phone won't let me put text under a break or I don't know how 😝) so this pre-thought post will be Spoiler Free! Just my opinions, hopes, and fears.
I'll also be using the tag #starlight watches for all watchthrough analysis posts I make in the future.
ALRIGHT. WHAT DO I THINK GOING IN?
I don't expect it to be great. We've all been burned in live-action adaptations in the past (AtLA was my brutal betrayal growing up, but I know Deathnote and Dragon Ball Z have also fallen victim), and while the optimist in my hopes for better, I highly doubt that.
That being said, that doesn't mean it can't be fun, and THAT'S where my hope lies. My true and deepest desire is the live action Bebop is camp as hell, goofy, with the darker tones we know and love thrown in to Balance show.
That's the thing about Bebop. It was this intricate, fascinating, expertly balanced mix of tones and genres. Even my least-favorite episodes (Boogie Woogie and Cowboy Funk; if you wanna know why send me an ask 😝) still fit in with the rest of the show because of their Messages, their focus on humanity and the intricacies of our relationships as people. We get to follow this weird, misfit, lost group of people, who find and help other random, chaotic misfits in this big big universe, and inadvertently learn about and subtly care for each other.
I want that fun spark of Bebop. I'm hoping for something lively, and dramatic, and even if it's not perfect, let's me see a new side to the world.
I'm hopeful for the Dynamics of the main trio, I won't lie. From the trailers I know they're not an Exact match and I'm okay with that. What I would deam a mild success is if anime Faye would love live Faye, anime Jet side eyes but tolerates live Jet, and anime Spike would wanna kick live Spike's ass. I just, but also honestly, that would be really telling of the writers understanding of the characters.
Faye is independent, manipulative, frustrated, passionate, angry, and lonely. I'm afraid they're going to lean too heavily into 'girlboss' territory, and make Faye this badass, one-note goofy femme fatale who don't need no man. While she is wildly self-proclaimed independent, we see her unintentionally gravitating towards people despite her own words because deep down, Faye is a people person and craves connection. Because in the end, that's not who Faye is. If live Faye is fun, obnoxious, strong, and distrustful, but lashes out with her mouth while still reaching out with her hand, anime Faye would wanna hang. Because she wants all those things in herself.
Now. Jet is dad. He is strong-willed, stubborn, compassionate, straight-laced, seemingly apathetic at times solely to cover up the fact that he's ALSO seeking out people, and doesn't want to turn his rag tag crew away because he genuinely cares about him. I'm worried live Jet won't have all those elements and will have him take back-seat to Spike's story. If they get him even fractionally right, anime Jet would see confidence, optimism, annoyance, and determination in live Jet, and wouldn't trust him very far, but he'd tolerate him. Because in a way, that's how Jet is with himself; he has to believe he's doing the right thing and knows what's best for himself and the people around him. That's where he draws his strength from: his own will and sense of right and justice. Anyone else leaning into that territory is dangerous.
And lastly, Spike. We've already kinda seen in the trailers that his dialogue is more on the #dramatic side, and his attitude on the angry vs. apathetic side. I won't lie, John Cho's casting was my favorite out of anyone's, and I know it was a mixed bag of reactions towards him re: age, but in my personal opinion I trust him as an actor first. What happens to his character depends on the director and writers, and what they choose to throw at him. For this to work, live Spike has to be brash, outwardly uncaring but not malicious, verbally indifferent but passionate with his actions, and overall... Lost. I wanna see lost Spike, not obvious but definitely intentional. Anime Spike isn't perfectly on top of his past and at peace with his life; if they do it right, he'll deflect with his words and protect with his actions. He's stubborn, but this stems from a lifetime of service and Having to be the best to survive. He's also really dramatic and if he doesn't throw a single hissyfit it will be a waste and a tragedy. All in all, anime Spike has to look at live Spike and see Andy. See himself. See a cocksure who doesn't actually have all the pieces yet or know what will give him meaning. And he'll HATE that.
I don't know if any of that was coherent, but I'm impatient now and want to get watching. I'm hopeful but hesitant as always, and am just wanting something.... Respectful. To the characters, to the genre, to this world we've come to love. I wanna see good action choreography, marvelous music (doubtless; Yoko Kanno my beloved), and human connection. If live action Bebop falls flat, it'll be because they make the crew too perfect, too on top of things, and don't put in the effort to make them connect with the people they meet, even if those people are the bad guys.
Best of luck in your watches, space cowboys.
We're gonna need it.

INKBERROW HOTEL
STRATFORD-UPON-AVON
LUCA heavily sighed and muttered something Italian under his breath. His first meeting with Alfie Solomons was gonna happen in a couple hours. To his understanding from anyone he's gone to, he was told how unpredictable and clever Alfie was. He was a bullet, and Luca rubbed the bridge of his nose just thinking about the fact that he has to brace for a headache.
He sat silently. Just like Tommy, all his research and plans mapped out were scattered across his desk. Staring at the unlit fireplace in the sitting room, he hears both a knock and a small English voice grab his attention from the other side of giant, heavy front door. Luca gets up to answer it, to find the maid that served him tea and biscuits smile sweetly at him.
"You have guests."
They walk in and the maid leaves. The henchman had their fair share of matching overcoats and hats since they began working for the Changretta family. Luca's cousin Matteo, being one of them, was one of the first to already push Luca's buttons when he stood in front of the desk.
"I will mop the floor with your face if you don't fix that frown," Luca held up a warning finger, speaking to him like a parent disciplining their child.
"Noi perso Frederico," Matteo spoke. The other henchman next to him was still part of them, but after being shot by Tommy Shelby during the shootout the other day, his spirit crushed.
"You think I'm not upset about that?" Luca pulled out the match from the tray and placed it in his mouth. "They've now killed five of our men, Matteo. Five."
Matteo looked down and Luca sighs. "Aw, come on. You even complained about Spotted Dick. It's pudding, it ain't so bad. You've hated everything here that moves. You carry the same attitude from four years back. We had some decent pleasure in Britain. You know, the wedding? Il vino di cugino nostra? The art gallery. . ." Luca slowly played with the match gripped by his teeth. "I met a woman there."
And what more than Luca not recalling her, too?
Luca got back up and walked him and his men over to the sitting area. He sat on the sofa while Matteo and the other man sat opposite him on the chairs.
"Will you be seeing her again?" he asks.
Luca knew exactly who he was referring to, and shook his head, fairly certain there wasn't a chance something like that would happen. "Penarth is miles away from where we are, Matteo."
"Vai a vederla," the other henchman suggests. "You know, mentre siamo qui?"
"And tell her what?" Luca says. "'Hello old lover, sorry for just walking out on you like that, but I'm here now! Let's wolf down some gin and fuck on my desk?'"
They both shrugged and looked down, not really knowing what else to say to continue on with that subject.
Luca leaned back in the sofa. "We're here for business, for loose ends that need a tight knot on. This isn't a field trip, an excursion for that matter."
However, Luca wished it wasn't for anything like that. He dreaded the day more family of his that were dear to his heart, people he loved and respected deeply, would slip right out of his hands. After hearing about his brother Angel it was enough to mourn over. But hearing his mother break down in front of him revealing his father's assassination afterwards, nearly shut him down.
Blood before all.
"She's from the past. It don't matter no more." 1919-1920
SOMEWHERE in Birmingham, Luca came from New York to be best man at his cousin's wedding. England wasn't his ideal place to stay, though, as he loved the New York air, there were more buildings with shining lights and taxis, and people being as upbeat and chaotic well suited his preference. But he showed honor and love for his cousin, and he wouldn't say no.
He came before meeting Teresa, of course. And as promised, he took her out to see a show, as he mentioned how he was a lover of theater. Their first date went smoothly as he thought, and kept stealing glances from her that night.
They went on their second date to one of the finest restaurants in Birmingham. He requested a bottle of champagne and two gourmet dishes at their reserved table. He was annoyed but not surprised there were no Italian cuisines known in that area, but it was better than not treating her to the fancy, luxurious lifestyle he was born into.
When Teresa was a Peaky Blinder, it was way before the Shelbys expanded into more fine houses to relax in. They lived in Small Heath, of course, and their neighborhood was spread with filth. But it was home.
Teresa therefore never got to experience the wealth and glory once Tommy established the Shelby Company Limited, even before the high ranking members could save so much to spoil themselves too. Teresa was long gone before that, but she built her own empire, and it all started with art, art that she now thought of selling and upgrading, according to Luca's "constructive criticism."
That was when Luca had to ask, now that he was staying in Birmingham for awhile now. "My cousin is getting married on Saturday. I'm gonna be his best man."
"That's amazing, Luca. Tell him and his bride my congrats," she smiles brightly.
"You can be there to tell them that, y'know?"
She took a sip of her champagne. "Mm?"
Luca leaned forward. "I want you to be my plus one at my cousin's wedding."
Teresa nearly choked on her drink. "A-are you sure?"
"I'm never unsure, Teresa. But you seem to be."
"It's just . . . we still don't know each other that well for me to meet your family."
"And? People bring dates all the time, even if they've known each other for half a day. I know you warned me that I would grow bored of you, but here we are on our second date. We have the best table arranged for us, champagne, filet mignon," Luca smirked a bit. "I haven't even kissed you yet."
She chuckles. "You're right. I just hope your family likes me." She took that as a joke, but Luca already switched to being dead serious.
"Well, I don't wanna scare you, but you're gonna have to make yourself likeable for my family. They're what you call . . ." he trails off, waving his hand.
"Judgmental?" Teresa asks.
"They're gonna ask about you like it's an interview. They're gonna do research, find out what you do, what you like, whether or not you've done anything bad."
Shit. Her throat hit a lump. Now what would The Changrettas' reaction be if they found out Teresa was a Peaky Blinder? Forbid Luca at his big age from seeing her again? Condemn her? Blackmail her into hiding? But fuck it, she thought. Teresa really liked Luca so far, and she wasn't gonna let her past ruin her future. "We shouldn't have a problem with that, then."
When Luca's chauffeur pulled up at Teresa's home, he looked around the neighborhood. The night of their first date, Luca planted a kiss on Teresa's cheek before letting her go into the house. Her business wasn't enough for her to own a manor, so Teresa was living in a townhouse in a neighborhood with drunks and escorts that come and go. It didn't differ much from his home, yet he winced at the sight of it.
She came out the door wearing a sparkly dress that lowered down to her knees, height a bit taller from the heels she picked out, and her hair was in the curls most women were styling theirs as. Through the filth of their surroundings, Luca saw an angel.
Teresa joined the applause after the bride and groom shared their kiss. All the families and friends cheered, some chanting Italian at them and she smiled at Luca who proudly stood at the altar with the groomsmen and bridesmaids. It wasn't until the time to take a family photo, and Teresa stood on the side and watched them.
"Do you know the bride?" an old man approached Teresa.
"I'm here with the best man."
"You know my son?" Her heart rate increases a bit. It was Luca's father, Vicente.
She nods. "Yes. I—"
"Papa," the family was done taking their photo and Luca hopped off the steps to introduce her. "It was probably better to introduce you to everyone before I could run off and do wedding stuff. Padre, questa è Teresa Griffith. Lavora come art director, a Penarth."
Vicente Changretta kisses her on both cheeks. "Then you must meet my wife, Audrey."
Luca's mother stared at Teresa while she sat next to where Luca was supposed to be sitting at the wedding dinner. In fact, some of the guests were staring at her, too, not recognizing her as they were observing her looks. Not that it was a bad thing, it was just intriguing. She was the only non Italian-American at the wedding, and Luca only introduced her to his parents.
Teresa smiled and nodded politely when she made eye contact with anyone as she tried sipping her drink to avoid any embarrassment. She breathes in relief when Luca sat back down. "That speech you made. It was beautiful, Luca."
"Thank you," he mutters, taking his wine glass. "Even though it was all in Italian."
She chuckles, still feeling the looks some of the guests shot at her. She quietly spoke to Luca while avoiding eye contact. "People are staring at me. Is it my dress? Do I have bad taste?"
"Sei bellisima," Luca compliments. "They're just curious about you, that's all. Why, do you feel intimidated?"
"Not at all."
"Well," Luca's raspy voice lowered but loud enough for Teresa to hear him say, "you should be."
Teresa stared at him, feeling tensed. "Why is that?"
He sipped his wine."Because we're dangerous people."
Teresa was no stranger to words like that, she wasn't new to running into people who consider themselves "dangerous". The Peaky Blinders were in fact dangerous people who did dangerous deeds. But this was Luca, and that would mean—
"Blood before all." Luca stood up before Teresa could question him and he raised a toast in Italian, everyone following.
Once they finished their meal there was time left for dancing and drinking. Teresa once again kept quiet, trying to stick with Luca the entire time and avoid losing him to a crowd or a relative speaking to him. There really was nothing else she could do besides drink silently and listen to Luca speak in his native tongue.
That was when Mrs. Changretta walked up to them. "Slow down on the wine, amore mio."
Luca obeyed. "Yes, Mamma."
"And Teresa, you've been glued to my son all night," Audrey says. "I hope everything is all right with you. Have you tried the risotto?"
"Oh yes, it was delicious," Teresa smiles, seeing Luca walk off with Matteo. She was left alone to talk to his mother.
"That's good. It's an Italian recipe. Very popular. Luca tells me that you own a gallery?"
"I work as the art director in the Penarth Art Gallery."
Audrey nodded. "You were a good student to own a business?"
"I got good grades here and there."
"That's lovely. I worked as a teacher, taught two little boys how to read. Now they're all grown up and they wear caps and carry guns around. I am sure their names would sound familiar to you, Teresa? John and Arthur Shelby."
And just like that, Teresa's skin turned cold. Of course, someone like Luca's own mother would be one step ahead to dig deep into Teresa's past and bring up the two reckless men that did the most of violence and crime. She hasn't seen or spoke to either of them ever since she resigned, and hearing someone mention a Shelby made her skin crawl.
This was exactly what Luca had warned her about. Be likeable.
"I worked with them. But that was way before I moved back to Wales. Mrs. Changretta, I hold no ill-intent on your son. I respect him. I would never do anything to harm him."
"My husband told me the Peaky Blinders were the ones who killed Billy Kimber."
"That was before I resigned. I wasn't there to see it happen. Who I once was is now in the past. I grew out of that life. Holding a gun would feel so new to me."
Was that enough? Was that an okay response? Audrey stared at her. "I don't blame you for leaving the Peaky Blinders, Teresa. But we do happen to be just like them, you know? So think about how you are spending your leisure with my son."
Teresa furrowed a brow. "In what way?"
Mrs. Changretta took a step closer and smiled at her. "We're a tight family. In New York we deal with what you once dealt it, and we play with the big kids." She squeezes her hand and walks off.
Cosa Nostra.
Of course. Teresa felt like slapping her forehead for not having the slightest idea sooner. She felt completely stupid for not seeing the signs; the way Luca behaved when they first met, the way they dressed, their mannerisms, everything. It gave off the whole idea clear as day. It was no wonder his family didn't welcome her so much.
She stood stiff in her spot, no sign of Luca anywhere to come back to speak to her again. But did that even matter anymore? If Mrs. Changretta knew already, that meant Vicente knew, too. Even Luca. She had to assume Luca would be a leader, then. She squeezed her eyes shut just imagining him as part of the New York mafia, holding a Thompson gun, one day going against the Peaky Blinders . . .
Teresa felt like she was set up for this to humiliate her. Without even being armed, walking out without saying anything could cause suspicion. Teresa took a seat at the bar, and stared at her glass.
Luca came back minutes after, they both knew exactly what was on each other's minds. "How could you have not known I'm part of a Sicilian mob based in New York?"
Teresa shrugged.
"Couldn't you tell when we first met? Not even Matteo or Frederico gave you the hint?"
"I thought you were planning on robbing my art gallery like a bunch of amateurs."
"Of course, you were a Peaky Blinder. Heard those clowns killed Billy fuckin' Kimber," Luca took a seat next to her.
She nodded. "Yep. That's them, that was before I resigned. I couldn't take it anymore, but the people they go neck to neck with would contact me nonstop, my name comes out of their mouths, they threatened to kill me, so I left for Penarth.".
"So, you are intimidated by us," Luca says.
"I'm not judging you for being a mafioso, but I don't feel like I've been approved by your family."
"I let my family voice their opinions, but they like you so far. Leaving would ruin that." Luca and Teresa both get up. "My mother likes you. That's a rewarding milestone."
"Your family would find it hard to trust me, and I know they would do something about it."
Luca shook his head while drinking the last of what was in his glass. "I mean I did warn you, we are dangerous people."
Shrugging, Teresa put her hand to stroke his cheek. "Yet I'm still here."
As she should.
"You . . . are definitely not boring, Miss Griffith," he grinned down at her. "You ever held a Thompson gun before?"
"No, but I would love to one day. We can protect each other."
"I thought you couldn't handle the crime life anymore? You can trust me. Nothing won't happen to me." He started pulling her closer to him so that his arm was wrapped around her back.
She shakes her head. "You have signore tuo to protect you. And your Tommy gun."
"E Signore mio mi ha mandato angelo custode mio."
"What does that mean?"
Luca let his free hand lift her chin. "God sent me my guardian angel."
As the band's music grew loud on stage, he was able to lean down and let the alcohol push him forward for the kiss. And he allowed it. Teresa took in the moment when the kiss deepened. It was divine and satisfying, like her favourite painter blending colours on a dry canvas.
•••
From all the noise they both made, they were sure the people staying next door could hear them loud and clear, grimacing at the sound of the bed banging against the wall of the room, but it didn't matter anymore.
Letting out a heavy breath, Teresa relaxed her body when Luca came to rest beside her when they were done. Back in America, Luca had his fair share with women and always charmed his way into getting them to spend time with him and his men. It always included going to speakeasies to drink and party at night, enjoying the city lights in New York.
But when it was Teresa in bed with him in uptown England, she felt free even though she was on her back with Luca leaning over her. Despite how he was so experienced with intimacy, everything felt so new, and it felt right when he looked into her eyes.
The wedding night felt euphoric, and it wasn't even them who got married.
Luca and his men head out the door, ready to meet up with Alfie Solomons in his distillery. He was conflicted. Did he miss her? Did he want to miss her? He tosses the match from his mouth into the disposable bin on the way out.
Does he have any idea that she was already aware he was back?

So, I just started to play Obey Me! Shall We Date
And well, I have thoughts
Im currently stuck on the first levels of lesson 5, so my knowledge of the plot is limited to that + some spoilers I accidentally got while going though the obey me! tag. Do I have a deep understanding of this game? No. Am I gonna rant anyway? Yeah. See me do another one of these soon after I play it some more, but for now, I need to put this out there:
First, mechanics-wise, the first thing on my mind was "Mr. Love from Hell", which is honestly not too far fetched. Maybe it's because I'm playing in my old ass tablet (I need a new phone, this thing ain't gonna survive 2020) but it's just so slow??? I've tried downloading full data, and it kinda helped, but still, it just annoys me so much! It's not crashing like crazy (cof cof Love Island The Game cof cof) but it could be better, it takes forever to get the itens to level up cards because it just ????????? takes forever for them to load???? anyone else got this problem or it's just my device? Anyway, that aside, I quite like it, if you played MLQC, it's pretty easy to manage, and while it takes a bit more of attention to win battles, I think that's a good thing. Getting shards has a been a bitch, like, I keep on suffering with the loading and my competitive ass wants to finish begginer's missions, and again I think Mr. Love has spoiled me. Also, someone please tell me how to level up skills, because I have no idea???
Now, moving on to the actual tea: what do I think of these boys?
Let's go in order, shall we:
So, I open the app and I see Lucifer in all his red and black glory, furry cape, Dom-Daddy, Big D Energy for days and go "Oh, Demon!Nobunaga, fun!". I'm immediately drawn to him beacause Nobu was my first ever otome guy and while I eventually grew out of the whole "this man is so controlling and sexy and dark" phase, nostalgia ya know? So, turns out the vibe I keep getting from Lucifer is more like all those dark-kinky-Jumin-Han-fanfics (as in, the only parts of Jumin Han that I hate) rather than Nobu? Idk man, this guy just seems shady?? They all do honestly but Lucifer is just plain scary. Dude, I know you've got the whole "most-powerful-oldest-control-freak" going for you but, like, can you chill?
Yet I can't really blame him, cause, Veronica (that's my MC's name) why, girl???? She be going up those stairs, and I'm just ??? Real talk, I'm kinda of a rule follower? I don't wanna make this guy mad, man, all I wanna do is hit on Satan (which we shall discuss soon) and see some family drama shenanigans. Lucifer says "don't go up those stairs" I'd be like "okay???" because up until now he hasn't given me a reason to not trust him (aside from being shady)??? But I have no choice but go talk to Belphegor (don't even get me started on this one) and I can just tell I'm gonna get in trouble for this. Could I not get there accidentally? Do I have to go there against Lucifer's direct orders? I don't think this is gonna go well, I just don't wanna get on his bad side hskshskshk
Lucifer's room, however, is everything to me, the deco is lovely (skeleton aside) and that bed, maaaannnn
Mammon started really annoying but he's been growing on me. I have a soft spot for dumb bitches like him, I guess? He just cracks me up? Not to be cheesy, but I like him as a friend? Maybe that'll change in the future, who knows, but for now that's how I see him, the best friend guy who is gonna be in love with you in every single route (read, Seven, but dumber). Can't wait for the angst. Looks wise I kind got him mixed with Solomon at some point (my dumbass though it was a bug) but all those Surprise Guest moments have me thinking he's way cuter than I gave him credit for at first.
I always feel bad for ratting him out to Lucifer, but boy, you and Veronica practically share one single brain cell, okay? I need to get my girl into Lucifer's good graces, I ain't about that troublemaker life
Levi is gonna be brief: No. He's not my type (otome or real life wise) and he annoys me. He reminded me a bit of Yoosung at first, and I'm trying to power though it like I did with him, but I can't. He keeps dragging me into his stuff and it's not cute, it makes me resent Levi. I'm not much of a tsundere enthusiast by nature, and I really don't like when they portray fans and gamers in this kinda "I'm weird, look at me I'm so weird and different" light ("have you ever seen me without this stupid hat on? that's weird" jsjdndmsksjdnsmskdjnddm). It comes across (to me at least) as childish and dumb (not endearing dumb, like Mammon). Idk, maybe I'll change my mind? Don't come for me, Levi stans
So Satan
I love Satan
Otome makes you say the strangest shit hm
Still. I haven't interacted much with him but I'm obsessed with this man. Let me date you, okay? You look like posh book-cat-candle super model I wish existed. Let's be petty together. Since I haven't been playing long I hope I don't end up regretting putting my heart and soul into loving you. I'm doing all kinds of jobs to get intimacy go up with him, because guyghbkhiugiygufgfydddyghvjgvjg I'm all about that soft dom energy he has going for him, it's basically everything I love about Jumin Ham, but less CEO and more cute-bookstore-guy. Ideally, Satan is 100% my type, even if not the usual otome route I take first. Also, he is the Avatar of Wrath, which, along with Pride, is my most prominent sin, so I might be projecting
Pls babe don't turn out to be terrible
Kay, so Asmo. Asmo gives me all the Shingen vibes but realistic Shingen. Like, of Shingen is all about worshiping his MC, Asmo looks like he wants to be worshiped himself. Not judging, tho. That thing he said about loving himself above all things, I feel like it was supposed to be shady but I kinda agree? He's onto something. All this self-sacrifing thing is so romanticized. Can't we all be in healthy non co-dependent relationships? Love yourselves, kids. Which is why, while I said Satan is my ideal type of man, in real life, most of the people I've been with are Asmos. That being said, that's why he doesn't really work as an otome LI for me (at least for now). I'm here to live a fantasy of dating demons, not to see my exes. He is tempting tho. Who doesn't want a friend to do face masks and fuck from time to time, no strings attached until, "oh no, we both caught feelings, whatever shall we do" and then have it end well? (can you tell I'm projecting? my therapist is gonna love this). Poor Asmo, it's not his fault. Darling I'm sure you'll turn out to be lovely
On Beel, not much. I'm not into him, at least for now. his personality so far is that he's hungry. So what, man. I'm not here for that either. I don't find food particularly fun or sexy, it's just here to keep us alive (unless it's sweets, sweets are the best, but I'm having to cut down on sweets so), so he's not doing much for me. Gotta wait for that character development I guess
And to end this rant, Belphegor. Bitch, I've seen you on my demon cards, don't you dare tell Veronica you're human. But she's a dumb hoe, my girl Veronica, so she just doesn't question it???? I swear, this girl. Shady doesn't even cut it with him. Sorry, you're telling me what to do? Dude, lol, you're lucky this is Veronica and not me, because I'd be out of there as soon as you started this bull about me doing pacts with demons to get your ass out of that room. Don't prey on my empathy, it pisses me off. Spoilers tell me he's like a human-hater or something? Boy, fuck you, okay? Am I going to end up loving him? Who knows. For now he can rot in that room for all I care
Anyway, that's pretty much my first impressions of this game. I'll be playing it for some more time, until I get up to date on lessons and story or until colleges comes to drag me to literal hell, whatever comes first
Peace, my dudes

Palm Trees // th x fem!reader
Summary: You were starring alongside Scarlett Johansson in the new Black Widow movie, she’s a younger spy that Nat saves from the Red Room, trains her to be better. You meet Tom prior to the premiere of The Red Room and he agrees to be your date.
Part of my Drive North series. Based on the song Palm Trees by the SWMRs, listen to it while reading. As you will hear in the song, it discusses the corruption of Hollywood and younger more naive people being taken advantage of in the industry.
Warnings: brief sexual harassment (not Tom), angst
Word Count: 6.1K
Sarah! Sarah! Look over here! Sarah! Smile!” You hear people shout and you wave and grin as your security walks you inside Jimmy Kimmel’s studio. Your stage name, Sarah Winters was being called left and right.
You know that they were really waiting for Scarlett who would be arriving soon, but they knew a little about your role in the movie, they’ve seen the behind the scenes photos and they’ve seen the trailer, so they’ve got some idea of who you are.
You made your way inside, getting put in your own dressing room which was literally a dream, something you’ve been thinking about and hoping would happen since you were a little girl.
When Scarlett arrived she hugged you tight. When Jimmy asked you questions about the movie, you talked excitedly and animatedly, almost spoiling a huge plot point when Scarlett put her hand over your mouth.
“Looks like Holland’s gonna get a run for his money on the spoilers,” she laughs and you’re blushing, you totally knew what you could and couldn’t say but this was the first big, TV interview you’d ever done. You were just incredibly excited.
Later that night you posted some photos on your Instagram, the first one being a shot of Scarlett’s hand over your mouth with your eyes wide.
You laughed as you captioned it, “let’s play how to keep Y/N from spoiling the entire Black Widow movie”.
You posted it and as you got ready for bed, exhausted from the long day of press. Before falling asleep you saw some comments, most of them were funny, a lot were tagging Tom saying that you were coming for his title.
You saw a notification that Tom had commented on your post as well, probably because everyone kept tagging him.
tomholland2013: as spoiler king, you can be spoiler queen, no stealing my title
You rolled your eyes, blushing a little. You ignored the onslaught of people commenting, lots of those sideways glancing eye emojis, a few keyboard smashes. You’ve never even met the guy. A few moments later you noticed he had followed you. You wondered if he would be at the Black Widow premiere, then maybe you could meet him. Since before you were cast as the young woman who Natasha takes under her wing, you’ve always been a fan of Marvel movies, the smallest crush on the actor who played Spiderman. He was attractive, seemed nice enough, your age; what more could you ask for?
You sent a quick text to Scarlett, asking if other MCU actors would be at the premiere.
Scarlett: why? Hoping a certain someone might show up?
You: psshhh no I don’t know what you mean
Scarlett: Tom might be there, let me ask
You: no omg he’ll wanna know why you’re asking
Scarlett: no he won’t give me a second
You groan, putting your phone on the edge of the bedside table and trying to sleep.
You wake up the next morning by your alarm. You’ve got a flight to London to do one last round of press before the premiere in a week.
You shower quickly and toss on a comfortable sweatshirt and gym shorts before shoving your PJs into your suitcase, making sure you had everything from your hotel room. You make it to the car that was waiting for you on time, miraculously, before checking your phone.
You noticed a text from an unknown number and frowned, opening it as you got in the backseat.
“Airport?” The driver asks.
“Yes please, thank you!”
Unknown number: Hey so I heard you need a date to the Black Widow premiere.
You: sorry who is this?
You check your texts to Scarlett.
Scarlett: a certain someone may or may not have asked if you’re going with anyone to the premiere, told him you weren’t, think you might be interested in having him on your arm for the night
You: wait, like, Tom Holland , that’s who we’re talking about? No way you didn’t convince him out of pity
You’re heart is sort of racing as you wait for a response from Scarlett.
She sends back a screenshot of her conversation with Tom, her asking if he’s going to the premiere. Then him asking if you have a date. And Scarlett telling him you didn’t, but he better act fast and then she sent your phone number.
You quickly add the unknown number in your phone.
You: I mean, you don’t even know me like at all, what would make you want to be my date?
You’re shocked by how quickly he answers.
Tom: well I could get to know you.
You: you know everyone and their mother is freaking out about that insta comment of yours?
Tom: their mothers too? Quite nosy aren’t they?
Tom: So, when can I meet you? See if you’re truly the spoiler queen
You:  I ALMOST say one thing and suddenly I’m the spoiler queen? At least I didn’t actually spoil any big plot points from the movie
Tom: fine fine you haven’t earned that title yet
Tom: you and Scarlett will be in London tomorrow right?
You: you stalking me?
Tom: no, just asked Scarlett
“Miss? We’re at the airport.”
You look up and sure enough your driver has pulled up to the airport. Someone opens the door, greeting themselves as your security, taking your suitcase from the trunk and offering to hold your backpack.
“I’m fine thank you,” you say as he walks you into the airport. Thankfully there aren’t any paparazzi or fans of Scarlett here, who was taking a later flight.
You check in and your suitcase is sent off before you go through security, Todd, the security person following you. He let you know he’d be with you until your flight and then when you landed in London there would be another person waiting for you.
This was all new to you, having security with you at airports, when you went to press events, the rare occasion of being recognized when you’re out and about.
You checked your phone again while waiting to board. It was a short wait, another thing you’ve never experienced, one was plane flights in general, the other was getting to be in first class. You felt so fancy you lost your mind the first time you flew with the cast to a filming location in Europe.
You waited for your seat location to be called, seeing another text from Tom.
Tom: I’ll be in London for the next few days, call me when you land
You gulp, quickly responding before boarding.
You: will do
The entire plane ride you attempt to sleep, try not to think of Tom fucking Holland asking you to call him. It doesn’t work. You sit there, watch movie after movie, trying to keep your mind off the boy. You gave up and put on Spiderman: Homecoming. You’ve seen it before so you let yourself get a little lost in the story, falling asleep about halfway through. You’re woken up by the rumble of the plane touching down.
***
You make it to your hotel with limited problems, you at first couldn’t find the security person waiting for you then realized he was holding a sign with your stage last name and not your real last name.
“Hi Miss Winters, I’ll be working with you while you’re in London, names Rick, shall we head to the hotel?”
“That’d be great, thank you,” you say, noting he’s already got your suitcase.
You see another text from Tom and blush as you sit in the car.
Tom: don’t wanna sound like a weirdo tho so ur totally not obligated to go out with me if you don’t want to
You: who said anything about going out?
Tom: I just meant, like to get to know each other before you whisk me away on the red carpet
You: I’ll see if I can sneak away from the hotel tonight, don’t have press until tomorrow
Tom: I could come to you
You: huh
Tom: we could hang in your hotel room, order room service, besides if we are out and about together the instagram comments would be the least of our problems
You: problems?
You frown, problems? You didn’t want to stir up trouble, you didn’t want to get death threats from teenagers over Tom either, considering you don’t even know the type of person he is, considering you’re just going to hang out.
Tom: well I’m just not really in the mood to be swarmed on the street by paps and fans and stuff
Tom: unless you wanna go out then we can, it’s whatever
You: no, no id much rather that not happen, hasn’t really happened to me yet and I’d prefer it to stay that way
Tom: after this you’ll be so famous you won’t know what to do with yourself
You laugh to yourself, Randy glancing at you.
You: highly doubt I’ll be loved nearly as much as you are
Tom: nonsense
You: I’ll be at The Savoy hotel, you know it?
Tom: I can use google
You: idk I heard you were pretty bad with technology
Tom: you’re right, google and texting are the only two things I feel 100% sure I can do
“Miss Winters? We’re at the hotel. Your schedule for the next few days should be in your email. You have the rest of the day off though.”
You nod, time zones were messing with your head, “what time is it right now?”
“10am.”
“Thank you,” you say as you both get out of the car. You check into your room and thank Rick for your suitcase.
You toss your backpack and suitcase down before flopping onto the bed, checking your phone.
Tom: are you at the hotel now?
You: yea
Tom: ok
You checked out the room service food, realizing since you slept on your flight you were starving. You decide to order pizza even though it’s early, you called and they said they could get some delivered from a local shop. You check your phone and see that Tom texted you again.
Tom: on my way, what’s your room #
You: 413
Oh, he was already on his way, shit. You practically jump out of bed and open your suitcase. You know it shouldn’t matter what you wear. But you change out of your oversized sweatshirt into a plain white T-shirt, keeping your gym shorts on. You thank god that your job and press required you to shave. Because although you didn’t think anything would happen, you wanted to feel confident if it did.
You changed quickly and brushed your teeth, jumping back into bed. You grabbed your book, East of Eden, your favorite book, it’s had plenty of wear and tear since you’ve read it so many times but you couldn’t get rid of it or get yourself a new copy.
You picked up where you left off, the story of young Adam Trask and his brother Charles, arguably your favorite and the best part of the book, seeing the dynamic between the two of them, then seeing how Adam grows for the rest of the book.
The door rang as you finished the chapter. You set the book upside down and grabbed your wallet, you checked through the peephole to confirm it was your pizza, as if on cue your stomach was rumbling. You thanked the person and tipped them, the pizza charged to your room.
You settled back into your bed, about to open the pizza when your doorbell rang again. You got up and looked through the peephole.
Tom was standing outside your room, hands in the pockets of sweatpants he was wearing, paired with what looked like an oversized hoodie. Okay, maybe you weren’t underdressed previously. You opened the door, leaning against the frame.
“Hi spoiler king,” you grin.
“Nice to finally meet you spoiler queen.”
“Finally?”
“Yeah, been wanting to meet you since you started filming Black Widow.”
“Didn’t know you knew I existed until a few days ago.”
“Well, surprise,” he laughs, shrugging, “you gonna let me in or should we continue this conversation here?”
“Oh my god sorry I’m such an idiot, come on in,” you say, walking backwards into the room. You feel the heel of your foot hit the back of your suitcase and you can’t stop yourself from falling. Tom rushes forward and catches you, arm around your waist and pulling you back up.
“How in the world are you playing this super spy when you trip over a suitcase?”
You chuckle, blushing as he helps you steady yourself, nudging your suitcase to the side as he closes the door.
“I play a super spy in training thank you very much,” you say as his hand leaves your waist and you quietly miss the feeling of his hand there.
“Well, guess you’re excused then.”
“Do you, want some pizza?” You ask, sitting on the edge of your bed and opening the box.
“Little early for pizza,” he observes.
“Haven’t eaten, in, oh god I don’t even remember, since the night before I got on the plane to come here from LA?” You say, stomach rumbling.
“Then I think you should dig right into that pizza,” Tom says, sitting on the edge of the bed next to you.
“Good plan,” you say, ignoring how awkward you feel and taking a bite of a slice. He grabs your book and reads the title.
“East of Eden, never read it before.”
“I mean I would act all offended because it’s my favorite book but I know that like not a lot of people who have read it. You should though, if you find the time.”
“Yeah this looks long and I’m way too dyslexic to read that without giving up halfway through.”
“Oh shit sorry I had no idea.”
“All good, kinda a running joke with my fans and people.”
“That you’re dyslexic?”
“Yeah,” he shrugs, thumb running through the pages.
You finish your pizza, watching his face as he reads the description on the back of the book.
“Stole it from 10th grade English class when I first read it,” you say before picking up another slice.
“Solid,” he laughs, looking at the list of last names written on the front cover along with the year, “Don’t see your name here Sarah.”
“That’s cause I didn’t have a stage name till I auditioned for Black Widow, name’s Y/N, Y/L/N,” you say, pointing to the last name put in the book.
“Oh, well nice to meet you Y/N, do you prefer that over Sarah?”
“Honestly, yeah.”
“Well, Y/N it is.”
You’re silent, you eating your pizza, Tom flipping through your book, laugh at some of the notes you have written in it.
“Cool if I have a piece?” he asks, setting your book down.
“All yours,” you say, gesturing to the pizza box sitting between you.
“So Y/N, how did you enjoy working on the movie? It was your first movie right? Know you beat out some names for the role.”
“Yeah, guess so, don’t know why.”
“Because you were best for the role, obviously.”
“Don’t know why they’d choose a nobody over people like Chloe Grace Moretz,” you shrugged.
“Because you, they saw potential in you, they also love to cast new faces, make newer actors famous,” he says.
Your mind starts to race with reasons why they might’ve cast you and you start to doubt your ability as an actress, because you’ve done theatre, been the lead in shows in your town and region but never movies or TV shows.
“Hey you know, I think you’re quite talented from the clips we’ve seen in trailers.”
“Uh, thanks,” you say, hand rubbing your neck, why are you so fucking awkward?
“So what kinda dress will you be wearing?”
“Huh?”
“To the premiere, so we can match.”
“Oh yeah, yeah lemme send you a picture of it,” you say. You were wearing a pretty dark red dress with black lace adorning the bodice.
“Sweet I’ll see what I can do about getting a matching tie and stuff.”
“Cool, you know it’s nice of you to uh, be my date,” you say, fiddling with your hands.
“Yeah, you know, wanted to see if you’d give me a run of my money.”
“With what?”
“Spoiling stuff.”
“Yeah,” you laugh, “don’t need to worry about that after the movie comes ou- FUCK.”
That definitely wasn’t something he should’ve heard.
You watch as he pieces what you just said together, “oh my god, hey even if that happens, well I think you’ve outdone me.”
“Listen at least I didn’t say that in front of a live audience or something.”
“What am I? A dead audience?”
“No, you’re just one person.”
“Ah that’s right, I don’t count.”
“Nope,” you say, tucking your legs underneath you.
You and Tom hang out and talk about filming, about the movie industry, about your favorite things, it felt like he learned everything about you in the time that you talked.
You stopped yourself a few times, apologizing for rambling.
“It’s fine, like to listen to you talk.”
At some point, you two had set the pizza box on the ground and were lying with your feet swinging off the edge of the bed.
“So, what about you? You excited for what’s to come for Spiderman?”
“Yeah, totally, I mean I want to branch out and do more movies, doing the voice stuff for Onward, the Pixar film; was really cool.”
“Have you done any auditions recently?”
“Some yeah, should hear about them soon.”
“That’s awesome. I honestly don’t know what I’m gonna do after this,” you groan, still unsure why you’re telling Tom any of this.
“Well did you enjoy your time on set? Did you enjoy acting in a film? Enjoy the people you worked with?”
“For the most part yeah,” you say, looking away.
“For the most part? Alright who do you hate? Which actor?”
“No, the actors are all great, I love them. Just, nah it’s stupid,” you sigh, because honestly you had no idea if what happened was weird, if it was out of the ordinary or if that’s just how it was.
“Nothing’s stupid, hey, I might be able to give you a tip to help deal with it.”
“Just, one of the ADs, Jack , he uh, he’d always hug me, like if I did a good job on a scene, he’d just like hug me really tight and uh, like sniff my hair, like press his face right into my hair and like not even ask me if he could hug me which I don’t know, I never stopped him from hugging me I just never hugged back but that’s stupid it’s a stupid thing to have a problem with.”
It’s quiet for a moment and you start to overthink and doubt yourself, doubt why you told him this story. Did Jack make you feel uncomfortable? Yes, absolutely but that’s just how it was, how you figured the industry worked.
“Did he do this in front of everyone?”
“Nah, just on my way back to my trailer or my hotel room or whatever.”
“Does Scarlett know?”
You sit up quickly, looking at him, “no, no she doesn’t. Nobody does it’s stupid I don’t know why I told you.”
“It’s not stupid Y/N, you know, if you want to talk to someone, you should. I can be that person if you want. But if you want you should tell someone higher up, they might be able to do something about it.”
“I don’t, it’s not worth it,” you sigh, laying back down.
“Okay.”
“Okay.”
“I’m sorry.”
“What are you sorry for?”
“Talking about this.”
“Don’t be.”
“Yeah?”
“Course, it’s just, I've seen a lot of people, young new people who don’t really have any idea of how this industry works, see them getting taken advantage of, whether it’s by asshole directors who don’t know how to teach young people, treat them like, I don’t know, like they’ve got some power over you.”
“Oh, well thanks I guess.”
There’s a very awkward tension now and you have literally no idea how to move past it.
“So now that you know all about me, what’s there to know about you?”
“Well, got three brothers, Harry and Sam are twins, and Paddy is a little younger than me. Got a dog, Tessa, she’s amazing, truly my favorite being on the planet.”
“God I wish I could have a dog, mom’s allergic.”
“You should meet Tessa sometime, she’s a sweetheart. Mum’s a photographer, dad does a bunch of stuff, comedy, writer, blogs, stuff like that.”
“I’d love that.”
You feel his hand brush against yours, meeting between your bodies.
“Oh, sorry,” he says as he feels your hand stiffen under his.
“No, it's just, why?”
“Why what?” He says as your hand holds his hand tightly.
“Why’d you do this?”
“How many times have I told ya Y/N.”
“Just, dunno why you’d care.”
“Can’t help it, I guess, you’re funny, at least from the interviews of you I’ve seen, and you’ve made me laugh bunch today.”
“Yeah counterbalance all the deep shit I told you.”
He laughs, thumb rubbing the skin of your hand, “see? Anyways, I should get going, supposed to have dinner with my brothers but I’ll see you later? Maybe we can hang out while you’re still in London, if you’re not busy being super famous and with press.”
“Yeah, we can always text too if I am. And I’ll see you at the premiere? You can always just not show up, never talk to me again if you don’t want to,” you say, watching as he gets up.
You follow him to the door and he turns to face you.
“Hmm, good offer but I don’t think I will.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah I think it’ll be much more fun to be your date than ditch you, plus I already know what’s gonna happen in the movie so we can sit and be not surprised together.”
“Sorry I spoiled it for ya,” you say, blushing.
“You’re fine, it was nice to meet you Y/N, I’ll see you later,” he says, you don’t even realize your hand is still in his until he lets go, leaving you alone in your hotel room.
“What is wrong with me?” You groan, jumping back into your bed.
****
You and Tom text throughout the week, a lot actually. Sometimes he’ll ask you random questions about your family, about your favorite place to eat back in your hometown.
You’re in a dressing room, just about to go for an interview when he texts you.
Tom: I love learning all this stuff about you, just wish I could hear you talk about it in person
You: why’s that?
Tom: because, when you’re really passionate about something you talk like really animatedly and it’s really fun to watch
You blush, having no idea how to respond you leave your phone there before making your way to the interview.
****
You’re on your way to the premiere, the flight from London just as long and exhausting as the last. You didn’t have much time when you got to LA to relax, you could put your suitcase in your hotel room and go straight to the premiere where you would spend the rest of your time getting ready. People were doing your hair, makeup, helping you into your dress, it was going to be a whole ordeal. For now, you had an hour to yourself in your dressing room, to relax, to breath, whatever you wanted. Tom let you know he’d be there in two or so hours, he didn’t have as much prep as you had. Basically just had to put on clothes and his hair would take less than half the time yours would.
You were nervous, your first premiere, first red carpet or whatever, your mom wouldn’t be able to make it, she was working, always working, but she sent you her love.
You were laying on the couch in your dressing room, scrolling through your twitter feed when you heard a knock on the door. Maybe it was Tom, you got your hopes up a little. Frowning at your leggings and baggy sweatshirt, you didn’t want him to see you until you were all dressed up.
You reluctantly got off the couch, opening the door.
“Oh hi,” you say, as you see Jack standing in front of you.
“Hi,” He smiles, “Can I come in?”
“What?”
“Just wanted to talk to you, congratulate you,” he says and you reluctantly step back from the door, letting him in. He closes the door behind him and you sit down on the couch, setting your phone on the dressing room table. What you didn’t see or hear was the click of the lock as he locked your door.
“You’re going to be a star Sarah, I can make you great,” he says, sitting next to you. His leg was right against yours and you shift away, body pressed up against the side of the sofa until his leg wasn’t touching yours. You didn’t mind that he called you by your stage name, you preferred it actually. That way everything he said wasn’t really directed to you, at least you could pretend it wasn’t.
“You? Why would you be the one to make you great?” You frown, that’s your job, audition, get your name out there.
“I know people, they’ll cast you, like I convinced them to.”
“Huh?” “Saw something special,” he says, and you freeze when his hand rests on your shoulder, “could’ve cast anyone, any big name, but we chose you.” His hand moves to glide up your neck and cup your cheek and your mind is screaming at you, MOVE, SLAP HIM, RUN but you’ve slipped into panic mode, which for you meant you were frozen.
“Wanna make you Hollywood’s next leading lady,” He says, face so close to yours you can smell his very gross breath, your heart is beating out of your chest.
You’re trying to think of something, anything.
You remember something Tom had told you back in the hotel a week ago.
****
“Just, if he’s weird again, don’t just go along with it, push him away, tell him he’s a fucking coward, he doesn’t get to use his position of power over you.”
“I don’t know if that would work.”
“Just try it, okay? Just, don’t let him hold anything over your head.”
****
His lips are pressing against yours and that’s when you use all your strength, breaking from your panic to push him off you, hard enough that he ends up on the other end of the sofa as you jump up.
“Get up! Get out, now.”
****
Tom wanted to surprise you, so he arrived earlier than he said he would, your wrapped present in one hand, he found out where your dressing room would be and made his way to it, frowning when it was locked.
He was about to knock when he heard you, screaming.
“Get the fuck out!”
“Sarah, don’t do this, you’re going to regret this.”
“No, I won’t, I’ll only regret letting you be a fucking creep for this long.”
You and the AD are in a screaming match.
He tries to doorknob again, wanting to break it up before other people heard.
“Come here,” Tom hears the AD say before you yelp, and there’s a clattering and “I’ll blacklist you, no director will work with you. Fucking ungrateful.”
“If you don’t get out now, I will scream at the top of my lungs and tell everyone what just happened.”
“Bitch.”
****
Jack approached you, “come here.” You backed up into the table as he grabbed your arm tightly, causing you to yelp before he presses his lips hard against yours. Your other hand picks up your phone and your knees connects with his crotch as he let’s go of you and stumbles back before slamming you against the mirror, making you cry out as a sharp pain radiates from your head.
“I’ll blacklist you, no director will work with you. Fucking ungrateful.”
“If you don’t get out now, I will scream at the top of my lungs and tell everyone what just happened.”
“Bitch,” he mutters before unlocking the door, swinging it open.
You whimper, sliding down to the ground and gently touching the back of your head, tears welling up in your eyes as he slams the door shut behind him.
That’s not how you expected this to go down. Your eyes widen when you see a little blood on your fingers.
You vaguely hear a knock on the door but you ignore it, arms wrapped around your knees. What a great way to start your first premiere. You’re laughing as tears stream down your face, something that your mom always said was a bad habit of yours.
***
Tom hears the door unlock and he steps to the side, slipping into the hallway next to your dressing room.
“Fucking bitch, who does she think she is?” Jack mutters as he walks past Tom, not even noticing him.
Tom knocks on the door, hearing you crying hurt him, he hated hearing anyone cry. He heard you laughing, it was a laugh verging on hysterical and decided to go in and check on you, just in case.
***
“Y/N.”
You look up through watery eyes and see Tom standing in your doorway, a red gift bag in his hand, eyes wide.
“Fuck,” you say, head dropping back down as you cry.
He quickly closes the door behind him and kneels down next to you.
“Y/N, I, I heard, I’m so fucking sorry, I shouldn’t have eavesdropped but he’s gone now, are you okay? Shit question of course you’re not okay.”
“I’m fine,” you mumble, trying your hardest to smile up at him.
“You don’t have to smile, Y/N.”
“What?”
“Don’t haveta smile for me, you can cry if you want.”
You sniffle, the tears slowly stopping.
“I’m fine,” you repeat, wincing as the pounding in your head brings you back to reality.
“What’s wrong?” He asks, eyes full of concern.
“Just, hit my head a little, it’s nothing,” you say, your hand instinctively reaching for the back of your head to check if it was still bleeding.
“What the fuck did he do to you?” He asks, seeing the blood on your fingers.
“Just shoved me, it’s nothing.”
“It’s not nothing, you’re bleeding, lemme get someone.”
“No, please Tom,” you say, voice barely above a whisper, pleading with him.
“Why don’t, why are you going to let this slide?”
“Because I can’t, he’s gonna, he’s gonna blacklist me, won’t get even a small cameo in a movie, he’s gonna ruin me.”
“Hey, no, he won’t, because you won’t let him. You stood up for yourself back there, I heard you. You won’t let him take away everything you’ve worked so hard for, and what you’ll continue to work hard for. Hey, let’s get some ice or something, clean up, see if you need to go to the hospital okay? Don’t want you passing out on me on your first premiere.”
“Promise you won’t tell anyone?”
“Not my story to tell, if you want to, when it’s time you can. There’ll be no pressure from me though,” he says as he helps you stand up. Your legs wobble a little bit and you’re afraid you’re going to fall but his arm is a comforting presence on your waist, steadying you. There’s no malintent in his touch as he soothes you, sitting you down on the couch.
You feel safe as he lets go, crouching down to open the small fridge, grabbing some ice from the freezer section.
“Here, turn around,” he says, nonchalantly ripping off a lower section of his shirt to wrap the ice in.
“Wh-,” you start, turning as his fingers sort through your hair.
“Just looks like a scrape, here,” he says, gently pressing his shirt with ice onto the area, hand rubbing your shoulder as you wince.
“Thank you,” you mumble, glancing at the bag he abandoned on the floor, “What’s that? Clothes all fit in there?”
He chuckles, “no, Issa present, for you, for your first premiere.”
“What? My, why's that, you already gave me a present you’re here with me.”
“Yeah but you deserve an actual present, here, hold the ice in place,” he says, palm over the top of your hand, moving it up to rest against the makeshift ice pack.
He reaches down and grabs the bag, pulling what looks like a wrapped book out of it.
“Was gonna give it to you little later but now’s perfect. Go ahead, open it,” he says, putting it on your lap and replacing your hand with his own on the ice pack.
You gently open the wrapping paper and gasp.
“This is, Tom you didn’t-,”
“Do you like it?”
“Of course I do, I mean, this is, wow this is the best gift anyone could have ever gotten me.”
“Well you only have a first premiere once,” he says, searching your eyes.
“I don’t, I don’t know how to thank you.”
“Don’t haveta thank me darling, why don’t we get ready for tonight?”
“Will, do you think we’ll see Jack?”
“He’d be an idiot not to show up, but hey, maybe you won’t run into him.”
“I like the sound of that,” you say, wiping your eyes.
“What did the stylists say they were going to do with your hair?”
“Think it was just gonna be curled, nothing fancy.”
“Okay well when they get here we’ll tell them no curling that part of your head.”
“Well then I’ll just look stupid.”
“Nah, you’ve got plenty of hair to go around up here,” he laughs, fingers running through the hair resting on your shoulder.
***
“Sarah! Tom! Smile for us! Look at you two!”
Photographers are shouting at them from up and down the red carpet, as Tom and Sarah walk, his arm gently resting on her waist, hers around his shoulder.
“You look lovely,” he whispers into your ear as you continue to walk.
“Not as handsome as you.”
He’s been saying nice things, whispering them to you all night, found it was the best way to make you smile, especially after what happened with Jack. You never did see him on the red carpet that night and didn’t bother asking anyone where he might be either.
***
“Wow,” you say, collapsing on the bed of your hotel room next to Tom.
“Fun right?” He asks.
“I mean, I wasn’t expecting such reactions from the crowd.”
“Yeah? Movie premiere crowds are always the rowdiest. But hey, they cheered, they laughed, they cried, you made one hell of a movie.”
“Guess so, I’m proud of it,” you sigh, gently opening the first edition copy of East of Eden, “how did you even find this?”
“I’ve got connections,” he smiles, watching as your eyes scan the first page, so different from your tattered copy from 10th grade.
“My 10th grade English teacher would lose her mind if I told her I had this. Scared to read from it, just wanna put it in a glass case and stare at it.”
“Well, it’s all yours so you can do anything you want with it.”
“Can’t believe this is all happening.”
“What is?”
“Everything, been my dream since I was a kid, to be famous, and well, yeah,” you sigh, not quite finding the words you’re looking for.
“You know, it might be, like, don’t feel obligated to say yes but would you maybe wanna, I don’t know, go on a date? Not now obviously, I think I could fall asleep right here but I’d like to take you out on a proper date.”
“Yeah? I mean the entire world already thinks we’re dating so sure, I don’t think a public date would hurt or help our cause.”
“Great,” you yawn, turning on your side.
“I should go, so you can sleep,” he says, standing up.
“Stay,” you mumble against your pillow.
He doesn’t respond and your heart almost drops, assuming he’s going to leave. Instead, he crawls into the bed, his arm hesitantly resting on your waist, until you scoot so your back is flush against his chest.
“Goodnight,” you whisper, exhaling, for the first time in over a year and a half you truly felt safe and comfortable falling asleep.

Tumblr media
I fully have no words to describe this film. It was such a satisfying end I barely even knew I needed, and I have so much I wanna talk about, so strap in cus this is gonna be a long ride.
I think I'm just going to do the same layout as my infinity war posts, with one for character arcs and the there for memorable events/moments.
Let’s start with characters. I’m going to talk mostly about the main six, and anyone else just a brief few things.
Thor
“I’m still worthy!”
I have been seeing alooooot of hate for the way Endgame handled Thor’s character, and I have to completely disagree. We’ve become so comfortable with seeing Thor as the most powerful Avenger, the one who was fine when his mother died, father died, brother, best friend etc that it was crucial to see that this was never actually the case. Thor’s decent into alcoholism, obesity and depression showed he was never really okay with everything that’s happened, he only bottled it inside till it all became too much, and having it healed by a chat with his mother was the perfect way to reach his arc. His relationship with his mother has been so overlooked by the marvel fans (me included) and it was so special to see this heart warming moment between them. When he said “I love you Mum.” to her my heart BURST and my eyes suddenly got very teary, not to mention the added heartbreak that he knew it was the day she was going to die. Overall, although yes, It was comical to see him in this state, that was not the only point to his storyline, it was about seeing a more emotional side to his character, a side which proves he isn't just a ‘tough guy’ who can handle the force of a star and wield lightening. He just as emotionally unstable as the rest of us, and needed his family back (both blood and The Avengers), and a reminder that he was still worthy of Mjolnir to set him back on the right path again to greatness.
His passing of his kingship of Asgard to Valkyrie was also important. Although the Thor franchise had the most perfect beginning and ending, starting with Thor becoming king of Asgard when he was childish and irresponsible and ending with him becoming King when he was actually prepared, the title of king was still not something he chose, and with Valkyrie there to be extremely capable of the role and eager to take it, it makes sense now to allow Thor to go on to actually live the life he wants, and become the true hero his mother tells him to be. I feel he suits the role of a hero who fights the bad guys more than a sensible noble king. I desperately hope he is in Guardians 3, as I think a Quill/Thor bromance is about to blossom beautifully.
Natasha
“I used to have nothing, then I got this family.”
I did not see Natasha’s death coming, like not from a million miles away and it BROKE ME. I actually cried at it more the second time I went to see it. We as an audience forget how she really has no one except The Avengers, they are her one true family, and this is emphasised in the scene on Vormir when she explains how she didn't even know her own father's name. Natasha has always been great in every film she's been in, and has been integral to the development of the MCU, however her role in Endgame was something else. Seeing how broken she was over the snap and seeing how she felt it was her responsibly alone to keep track of the events happening across the whole planet shows how seriously she takes her role as an Avenger and how much she wants to earn the title. I’ll talk more about the scene on Vormir in my next post, but it was really something else. The fact it was Clint she goes with was so important, her best friend. The line from him in the guardians’ ship “this is a long way from Budapest” was such a great call back to the first avengers film, and reminds us of the long history the two share.
When it was obvious one of them was going to die I knew it was going to be her, which is very telling of what I internally think of her character. She would never have let Clint die whilst he had a wife and children at home. Natasha sacrificed herself so that half of the universe could survive, as did Tony. Everyone alive in the MCU owes their life to her, and that is an incredible legacy for her character to leave. She will be desperately missed, but her new film coming out, despite (I assume) being a prequel will be a welcome look into her life again.
RIP Nat x
Clint
“I wish I could tell her we won.”
Opening the film on Clint losing his family was a clever way of reminding the audience of the loss experienced by everyone in Infinity War, not just the characters we followed. It was also interesting to see Clint’s darker side. On his mission to rid the world of the criminals who avoided dusting whilst innocent lives were taken, he murders what we can only assume is hundreds, showing the extreme anger and sadness he was feeling over the loss of his wife and children. It is Tony later in the film who says to Pepper “we got lucky.” in reference to the fact they still had each other, Clint had the least luck, losing three children and his wife, we can understand why he turned to such eratic violence.
Once reunited with The Avengers he continues to have a huge role in the film, especially driven by both his desire to bring back his family, and also avenge Natasha’s death which he most likely feels very guilty for. The moment when they all return form the quantum realm except her, and Clint is seen crying is very emotional, and his role in the fight against Thanos is not one he takes lightning. Clint even carries the Infinity Gauntlet for a large proportion of the final fight scene, we thank him for his incredible service! Endgame was definitely Clint’s film. He had a big part in many of the most emotional/nail biting scenes, and dint just spend the whole thing under the mind control of the main villain! Really glad he got to shine through and find his spotlight, and I can't wait for what the Hawkeye series will have to offer.
Banner
“I put the brains and the braun together.”
Okay so when I first saw the Doctor Hulk combo I HATED IT. I remember turning to my friend in the cinema and just going “I hate it I hate it I hate it get it away from me” but then by the end of the film I won't lie, I loved it. I love that he now has the best sides of both banner and Hulk, the funny/smart/kind side, put together with the incredible strength of The Hulk actually makes for a pretty powerful avenger, even standing up to Thor at one point when he asks him to take his hands off him. Banner had some great comedy bits, including when he makes fun of Scott when the kids don't wanna take a picture with him, and the hilarious part when he punches the taxi in New York, but also some important emotional roles. His upset when he discovers Natasha is dead is evident, explaining how he misses her to Steve later in the film, and this is definitely used as a drive for what he goes on to do. He sacrifices his life and uses the gauntlet to bring everyone back, BANNER DID THAT. Can we start appreciating him more now???? THANKS. No but seriously this was a very important moment for him, and was like the finale of the great character arc we have seen over the last 3 films he has been in. In Ragnaork he struggles with his relationship with the Hulk, still being unable to control when he changes from Hulk to Banner, stuck in either when least convenient, nd always under the control of Hulk. In Infinity War, it’s almost like the two are so connected, and hulk is so aware of Banner’s experience that he begins to control when he doesn't want to come out, rather than when he does. The two are much more like a duo, understanding of each other but stilll not necessarily working together. in Endgame they finally merge, forming a mutual relationship where each benefits wonderfully from the other. I’m really happy for Banner reaching this state. I don't know if his character will appear in anymore MCU films to come, but his character arc has certainly reached a satisfying end, and I believe, despite the sadness of losing Natasha, he has a reached a place of peace and happiness.
Tony
“I love you 3000.”
THE BIG SAD. Still can't believe he is dead. The corner stone of the MCU, the man who made it all happen, how can we ever thank Tony Stark enough? short answer: we can’t, but I'll damn well try. Tony Stark has had perhaps the greatest character arc of them all. Growing from being an arrogant, selfish, greedy businessman who sold weapons and funded wars now sacrifices his life for the entire universe, despite knowing he will leave behind his child and wife alone. It is so painful watching the film for the second time, seeing how desperate he is to not lose what he’s got (Morgan), knowing the whole time what is to happen a the end, yet also a sense of pride emerges. It is heartbreaking to know he will in fact die, but also incredible to know that even despite all his personal feelings, he will always put his family, The Avengers and the rest of the beings in the universe before him because THAT is who Tony Stark is. it doesn't matter who he once was, he has grown beautifully as a character, and has the hero’s death he properly deserves. When  Pepper said “you can rest now.” to him I absolutely BAWLED. very good. Awful and painful, but very good.
Also just Tony as a dad, although we didn't get to see it for very long, was a great position to see his character in. He keeps that classic Stark sense of humour “go to bed or I'll sell your toys” whilst also it is immensely clear to see how much being a father has matured him. Although in reality, he is not only a father to Morgan, but Peter too, and choosing to have him die in front of him was truly a STAB to the gut, but also important I think for Peters development now. He will have to go it alone now, without the support of his guardian, which will be a good way to ensure his character can grow independently. Stark was clearly torn up over Peter’s death in a way only a father would, and Peter im sure will carry this bond with him for as long as he lives. I hope to see Morgan and Peter connect in Far From Home, that would be really special, and the perfect way of carrying Tony’s memory.
Thank you to Tony, and RDJ for the incredible 11 years in the MCU, we just could no be here without you, you can rest now, but know you are in our hearts forever.
RIP Tony x
Steve
“You gonna tell me about her?”
“No, I don't think I will.”
Guys okay so I cried at Tony and Nat’s death, but NOTHING got me like Steve’s final scene let me TELL YOU, but first we will start earlier on.
Steve has a very classic role int he first half on the film, comforting Nat when she needs it, helping Tony, devising the plan etc but he really shines in his trip to New York, the final battle scene, and of course his finale.
The scene where he fights himself was really great, and the lines “I can do this all day” “yeah I know” was AMAZING! Not to mention the iconic callback to the elevator scene with the added ‘hail hydra’. The Russo Brothers did an excellent job in ensuring the revisited all the best parts of cap’s time in the MCU in Endgame for sure. But, the best bit came in the final fight scene WHEN HE LIFTED MJOLNIR. I SCREAMED. I genuinely don't think I have ever been so excited in an MCU film in my life, when the hammer came flying through the air I thought at first it was going to be Captain Marvel (which would have been cool too) but when it was him I YELLED. I simultaneously couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing whilst also thinking it was the most obvious thing ever. OF COURSE Steve can lift the hammer, of course he is worthy. The added line of Thor saying: “I knew it!” was just perfect too, with their mid-battle banter yet again “you have the little one, I'll take the big one.” much like in Infinity war with “I see you’ve copied my beard!”. Another great moment was of course the: “Avengers... assemble.” which I also absolutely screeched at. INCREDIBLE CINEMA.
But, despite all this excitement and incredible action Steve’s character got, his best part in the film by far was his final goodbye to Sam and Bucky. When he left to put the stones back something in me knew he wasn't going to come back, and although it was sad, it was also relieving in a way. To know he must be going to find Peggy, and to know he would finally “get some of that life” he had always wanted, and find happiness with her was beautiful. When the camera panned round to him on the bench, it was extremely clever to (as he was older and more shrunken) depict him looking the exact way pre-serum Steve did in The First Avenger, with a similar jacket and smaller frame. At first I thought it somehow was younger him, and It was only seeing his face that made me realise that was not the case. By this post I was properly crying. Like tears streaming down my face hiding my sobs crying. His passing of the shield onto Sam was incredibly moving, and before he left to the see when Bucky and him joke about not doing anything stupid whilst he’s gone was also a perfect goodbye. When he went to put his hand on Sam’s and it showed he had a wedding ring, I honestly couldn't even see through my tears, and that final scene. That final scene. The camera panning through the window, the soft music, the slow turning of the camera to reveal Peggy dancing with Steve, I let out what I think is the ugliest noise I have ever made. a full blown SOB. I was actually uncontrollable, the lights went up in the cinema and I just kept going, still crying a good five minutes later. It was an ending that, now it’s happened, seemed so obvious, yet I never saw it coming. Of course The Avengers’ saga had to end that way. The beauty of the ending was that it wasn’t really an ending at all, but a beginning. Yes, Steve has reached the end of his time as an Avenger, but he was only just starting his true, long life he has ahead of him. The perfect finale.
CONCLUSION
I loved this film. I think it did wonders for all the main characters, and to know I know live in a world with no more Avengers films to come is devastating, but I'm just happy I was alive to see them happen, and to be a part of this wonderful community.

...alright fuq it lemme explain my thoughts about the finale spoilers lol
Don’t worry, I WILL be posting this under a read-more so PLEASE turn away and ignore this now (especially with some “spoiler” tags on if you use ‘em) if you don’t want to be spoiled for the finale until it officially airs. I just can’t contain my thoughts no more after ponderin’ them and who knows when it’ll officially air in English (’cause slow schedules can be a pain to deal with lol) sooooo... yeah you’ve been warned xp
...Ooooh boi, well admittedly I kinda skimmed through what the whole plot was about behind the last three episodes (I was moreso focused on all the stuff happening for “The Last Problem” so lol), but I’ll try to keep it brief for the most part:
-So... that whole thing about Grogar being the last “big bad” was just a total lie... since apparently it was just Discord masking himself as the guy just to give Twilight one last battle to face? ...Ehhh, I get that he apparently had “good intentions” but this just seems to be pushing it too far even for Discord’s standards tbh... like these are his friends now (including Fluttershy, his best friend) so why would he allow this much risk to be thrown at them for the sake of just teaching them a valuable lesson about overcoming obstacles? ._. Then again, this IS Discord we’re talking about so him pulling some shady stuff like this is to be expected, I guess? Idk...
-As another twist to the trio of bad guys... NONE of them get redeemed at the end (not even Cozy Glow... who again, is nothing more than a whiny child compared to Chrysalis and Tirek :P), as they all pretty much get blasted with the same stone spell that Discord was under for what I can presume to be forever. I mean... had Sombra been placed in Cozy Glow’s position then I guess I’d be a bit more satisfied with this kind of ending for them instead of feeling questionable about it (’cause again, Cozy’s young age ^^;)... but at the same time, for what it is it’s at least a refreshing change of pace from just having them all instantly forgiven and befriended by all the main heroes. Now that would’ve been cringey... >_<
-We got a reaaally big group of cameos from many past ponies/other creatures from the show to aid in the final battle, including Sunset and a few of the MLP movie characters like Tempest, Capper and Skystar! o.o A shame that Captain Celaeno couldn’t have been added along with them but still, pretty cool to see that particular trio regardless along with my girl Sunset ❤️ about time the main show acknowledged her importance to Twilight -.-
-Moving onto the big finale itself, “The Last Problem”, we cut ahead to I presume to be a couple decades or so since the last episode... where Twilight and her friends are all grown up and leading their own lives as Twilight’s pupil (Luster Dawn, was it?) comes to prepare herself for her own first friendship lesson. Surprisingly, unlike past finales it’s not so much a really heavy or action-packed episode but more of a “relaxing breather” kinda filler... yet still pushes the feels the more we get to see the aged-up cast and realize how this truly is the end for our heroes :(
-We’re also given a nice flashback to Twilight’s coronation as Equestria’s new leader, though it didn’t go according to plan it still provided some heartwarming feels to teach that friendships will always remain solid even if some end up moving far away. Awww ;w;.
-As for the “Grown up” designs themselves... I’m kinda torn, tbh lol
Tumblr media
On one hand, I do like Rainbow’s, Fluttershy’s, and AJ’s older looks just fine. AJ’s especially gives me the feels looking at it ‘cause of the shawl... really hits in that poor Granny Smith is no longer around by this time :( at least she’ll always keep her memory strong in her heart ❤️
As for Twilight, Rarity, Spike and Pinkie... ehhhh ^^;. Rarity’s sparkly shawl is rather pretty though that big grey steak in her hair kinda clashes too much with the regular purple imo, Pinkie’s beehive look could’ve been fine if they just took out all that random junk in her hair, and while part of me kinda likes the “ethereal princess-y” vibes of Twilight (despite the rather dark implications that she’s gonna outlive her friends now ;-;)... the fact that she still sounds like her old dorky self when speaking kinda kills the effect for me... plus idk if only a couple decades in the future would be enough to make her this tall as an alicorn, I mean even Luna (who’s older than her) is alot shorter so it’s just a little off-putting to me to see her so “Celestia”-sized ^^;. And as for Spike... yeah, I don’t even know what’s going on there, so... let’s just move on, please lol.
So then we get to look over how everyone else in Ponyville’s doing, with so many new species living there now, some old kiddos grew up like the CMC and the Cake twins, Starlight and her friends (plus the Student 6) continuing to run the friendship school together, and apparently some canon couples started to thrive during this time too including Lyra and Bon Bon, Big Mac and Sugar Belle, and... Pinkie and Cheese? o.o
Tumblr media
...Um, wow lol Wasn’t really expecting that considering that most of Cheese and Pinkie’s previous screentime together (which was only in like, two episodes?) wasn’t really that romantic from what I can recall, but guess the writers decided to just throw it in anyway ‘cause it’s a popular ship? lol I mean, not like it’s a bad one or anything but it still feels a bit randomly-placed in a narrative sense imo ^^;
Speaking of their daughter (Lil Cheese, I think?), while I do think she’s cute, part of me is kinda disappointed that they didn’t really get more creative with her design like they’ve done for Flurry Heart and the Cake twins :c. Color-wise she looks okay but... why just make her a recolor of her mom’s filly design? .-. Even putting her hair in some pigtails or something would’ve worked better imo.
Tumblr media
-Some more design nitpicks I had were certain weirdly placed hairstyles like Pumpkin Cake’s and Diamond Tiara’s, as well as why Gummy the alligator just looks like he resized into a giant than legitimately grew into an adult lol. Also this might also be nitpicky but why exactly is everyone (minus Twilight) so old-looking with grayed hair and/or eye bags (ex. Rarity and Sugar Belle), when a couple of them have school-aged children at this point? .-. Hell, even most of the Mane 6′s parents didn’t look this old (including Twilight’s, and they’ve got a granddaughter lol), so I’m kinda confused by this type of design choice tbh.
-I don’t really remember if they explicitly stated what happened to the old princesses during this time since they didn’t show up again, nor what the final fates of Shining Armor and Cadence were (save for a brief shot of Flurry Heart having her own stain-glass window in the throne room). Idk, just would’ve been nice to have gotten more explicit about that ‘cause I don’t wanna think of these poor royals being gone now with just Twilight being the leader now ;-;
-I guess there was also a couple “implied” ships thrown in too like Fluttershy and Discord (though that one might be more “loose” to interpret, depending on how much you like the ship) and apparently AJ and Rainbow Dash seem to be having something “deeper” going on considering they specifically walked in together when all the other Mane 6 walked in individually into the throne room. Hmmm...?
-And lastly after a bit more filler and than a montage song of the Mane 6 harmonizing together one last time, we get to close off the entire episode, season, and series with one final shot of the heroes standing on a sunset-y hillside together, saying goodbye to Twilight’s student who goes off on her own friendship adventures... and then the screen fades to a book closing as a call back to the very first episode of the series over 9 years ago... where the exact same book opened up to start off our beloved show to begin with T-T
Tumblr media Tumblr media
....aaaand yeah my feels exploded over again, sorry T-T. Despite the lil nitpicks I had here and there (and how I wish certain plot holes could’ve been handled better in hindsight), this was still a really sweet and thoughtful way to end MLP: FiM with one last batch of fluff like this... the end of a good 9-year run of the show which’ll surely leave a special place in every fan’s hearts, including mine ❤️
Though again, like I mentioned before I still won’t be considering any of this actually “canon” in the main universe I’m setting up, which is all basically an AU at this point since I haven’t really been keeping up with the show as frequently to care much for sticking with the main canon :p. For my fellow content creators, please don’t be afraid to keep working on your own next gens and such btw, even if some of it might be contradicted in this particular finale I’d say anyone is free to make their own interpretations however they want, canon or no canon~ ;p
Hope y’all understand that well and I hope you guys have a great rest of your day! 😃

Danganronpa V3 Liveblog: Part 1 [Prologue]
So now that my several week-long adventure in trying to secure the necessary equipment to legally play this game has come to an end, I’ve finally gotten a hold of it and have begun playing it, so I’m going to start my liveblog!
For the sake of keeping my followers as spoiler-free as possible, I’m going to try and heavily tag these posts, and put about 99% of each post under a readmore. I’m also going to keep the labeling pretty vague for each post. My basic plan is to play each section of the game in one sitting [if we imagine each chapter being split into three sections of daily life, investigation, and trial] and then make one post for each of them. For now I’m going to label them with what part I played, for convenience, but I can’t help but be a little afraid about the possibility of there being some shift in structure later that might be spoiled via my labeling. We’ll see how it goes. If people want to completely avoid spoilers I guess they can just blacklist the tags and stuff, but I’m still going to try my best to avoid major spoilers, so the majority of these posts will be under read-mores.
This is going to be a pretty interesting experience for me, since even though I’m a huge fan of this series and have been following it for a few years now, I’ve only ever watched LPs of the game, so this is my first time actually playing one for myself.
Anyway I’m just gonna put my thoughts on the prologue under the cut since this is already getting long. [Fake edit: this got super long but mostly because half of it was me posting my initial reactions to characters and stuff, so with that out the way, maybe the rest of these posts will be shorter. We’ll see]
I don’t really wanna waste time talking too much about my history with this franchise and whatnot, so I’ll just get right into things and say that I have no goddamn clue what to expect from this game. I’ve almost completely managed to avoid spoilers on it, beyond what was shown in pre-release material. Well, mostly. There’s a few vague, context-less things I’m aware of, but I won’t say what those things are in case anyone is reading these posts without having played the entire game. [Though as a warning, I’m not gonna hold back on openly talking about every other part of the franchise that came before this]
I’ve heard that this game’s ending is ‘divisive and controversial’, but I have no idea how, and honestly that’s kinda been the trend with this series for better or worse, so it’s not really a surprise.
Thankfully I’ve also heard that this is maybe possibly the best game in the series so that’s cool! It’s not like I’m expecting greatness from it.
I’m really glad that I haven’t seen any LPs or anything besides the demo, because wow did things start off in a way that I wasn’t quite expecting. The whole beginning part was . . . bizarre. I got so thrown off by how everyone was wearing normal school uniforms. In general the whole way that things play out but then, like . . . loop back on themselves??? was really weird and unexpected. I feel like the game is already throwing out major hints about late-game twists, to the point where it all feels so ‘obvious’ that it’s probably some kind of misdirection. The whole shot we got of Kaede wearing some kind of science experiment helmet thing in particular felt like a ‘peeking behind the simulation’ moment, but DR2 already had a simulation twist, so the fact that they seem to be hinting at a similar thing feels like misdirection.
On the one hand I feel like I shouldn’t think too hard about it in case I guess the twist in advance, but on the other hand all of this signalling is so blatant and in your face that I feel like I may as well talk about it.
Even beyond the weird time-looping thing, there’s also a pretty heavy focus on the idea of amnesia and deja-vu [amnesia is pretty common for the series but the deja-vu element is interesting], and there’s some really interesting hints given out about the outside world, with references to stuff like the Ultimate Hunt, I think they called it, and how that apparently ties in with how everyone had forgotten their talents in the ‘first loop’, if I should call it that.
I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that this game is set in the Hope’s Peak Saga universe, since the first opening movie literally spells out that this game is a continuation of it, so it’s hard not to work with what the previous games set up story-wise to try and guess where the hell we’re at in this game.
I’ve always wondered how the whole concept of Ultimates would have been handled post-DR3, and how Hope’s Peak would function. It definitely seems like we’re hinting at the idea that something went pretty wrong down the line. It almost sounds like maybe the concept of being an Ultimate is, like, treated as a crime now, but it also feels like it might be another DR2-esque thing with how that game’s cast were all the Remnants of Despair who were in the simulation for rehab purposes. I don’t think it’ll be exactly the same sort of thing, though at the same time it’s also hard to believe that the whole Despair thing completely died out after DR3 so who knows.
It’s interesting to compare this with DR2, in how that game really started out as a legit rehab program of sorts that tried to hide the truth from everyone, while this game is upfront about the idea that this game’s cast are criminals who are being punished for something. So it’s kinda easy to guess that maybe they really are all criminals who’ve just been made to forget their crimes.
[Fake edit: I was just about to finish this post but I just realized that I forgot to point out how incredibly suspicious it is that the prologue is literally called ‘Ultimate Revival’, when we already had the weird time loop thing happen]
I’ll try not to think too much about the overarching plot until it becomes more relevant, but yeah to put it simply I’m already getting huge DR2 vibes from this set-up.
Anyway, enough talking about serious Speculation [tm] and Theorycrafting [tm], let’s talk about the stuff we’re all here for! AKA the characters and the flashy visuals and whatnot.
Just to get it out the way, I’m stuck with shitty dialogue audio quality because I had to import the US Vita version of the game because 1: I don’t own a Windows computer [and for some reason the Steam version is only on Windows even though the first two games are also on Mac], 2: I don’t own a PS4, and 3: I have an NZ PSN account but I literally cannot obtain an NZ Vita copy of the game because no online or retail distributors have it available, and because for some godawful reason the NZ PSN store only has the voice patches for it, and not, y’know, the game itself. So I’m stuck with the US version of the game since it was the only one available, and because the voice patch is treated as DLC, and DLC is region-locked, I can’t get the high-quality dialogue audio even if I wanted it. Which I do. It’s not THAT terrible, but it’s noticeably bad. Especially for certain characters, like Shuichi and Kaito. But I literally cannot do anything about it, so I’m stuck with it.
On the topic of voices, I still do like most of the voices, even if the audio quality isn’t great. A lot of the voices sound a lot more . . . plain, I guess, than I was expecting. I dunno how to explain it. I kinda like it. It makes them sound more like real people, though some of them sound like, well, middle-aged people trying to voice-act teenagers while barely bothering to try and sound like teenagers.
The music is still high-quality and sounds great. I still love this franchise’s music style. Most of the tracks in the prologue sound either similar to or the same as stuff from previous games, which is fine, but the Monokids track is . . . certainly something. Definitely in a similar vein as how weird Monomi’s track was in DR2, but this one’s less cute. Still good, though.
The game’s visuals are still on-point, though the image quality isn’t great at times. The colours are really vibrant, but things often seem really pixel-y when they’re even slightly far away. I think that’s just how the series looks in general though, and it’s just easier to forget since I’ve only ever watched LPs of them. I do really like the more dark and earthy sort of atmosphere and colour palete this game has compared to the other ones, though. The other games look great, but I like that they did something a bit different. I get what they meant by calling this game ‘psycho-cool’.
Getting to the characters, I like them already, though I obviously haven’t seen them in action much yet. Visually, I honestly think they’re one of my favourite casts in the entire series. It definitely feels like they had a bit more restraint in designing a lot of these characters, compared to earlier games, while still keeping the same DR character design charm. I don’t know how the hell this series’ character designer is still managing to churn out unique and interesting designs after so many franchise entries, but here we are.
Since there’s so many characters I think I’ll just address them one by one.
Kaede: First of all, it still makes me happy that we got a female protagonist for this game. It’s a nice detail. Secondly, I’m just gonna lay it out and say that I’m expecting some major plot twist relating to her identity. It’s not a difficult thing to assume after how DR2 [and DR0 I guess] had big plot twists relating to their protagonist’s identities, in different ways, but still, the writing’s kinda on the wall for this one. I don’t know if Kaede will end up having anything uniquely shocking about her compared to the rest of the cast, but still. The way the beginning scene played out, with the focus on her not knowing who she was, immediately made me suspect that she might not actually be ‘Kaede’, somehow. We’ll see. I honestly would not be surprised if she’s a ‘decoy protagonist’ and someone else is the real protagonist. Especially considering the fact that the first characters shown off were Maki, Kaito, and K1-B0, nearly a year before we saw Kaede, which makes me suspicious on many levels. Anyway, I really like her design. It’s been a favourite of mine since we first saw her. The yellow/white/pink-purple colour palette is really nice. And on a related note, the goddamn magical girl transformation she had when she got put into her main uniform was amazing and glorious and exactly the sort of bizarre thing I wanted to see out of this game. There’s not much to say about her personality thus far, but I like her. And I also like that she’s a pianist. It’s refreshing to get a DR protagonist who’s talent is something other than ‘hope’ or ‘literally nothing’. I guess you could count Ryouko and Chisa as DR protagonists with actual talents, though. But you get what I mean.
Shuichi: It really surprised me that he was immediately presented as being the secondary protagonist. Or, at least, the ‘helper’ character. I like how, in contrast to people like Kirigiri and Komaeda, he isn’t really doing this out of his own volition, and was literally just stuck in the same room as Kaede. Which is still kinda suspicious in and of itself, really. He’s really great, though. I was so worried that he’d be a complete copy of Kirigiri, but he’s really not, thus far. He’s honestly really adorable, with how humble and easily-flustered he is. I also really like his design, and how simple it is. I wonder how his role in the game will be, going forward. He’s definitely the helper/assistant/etc right now, but who knows if that’ll change. I hope he has a different role overall compared to Kirigiri, at least, to shake things up a bit. Oh, and before I forget, I’m already guessing in advance that he might actually be a girl, although that’s almost entirely based on him being voiced by Megumi Hayashibara in Japanese [and on that note, boy am I annoyed that on top of not being able to get the high-quality dialogue audio, I also can’t get the JP voice pack for the same reason :/]. He definitely sounds much more like a boy in English, so I’m inclined to think that maybe they weren’t trying to hint at anything by giving him a really feminine voice in Japanese.
Rantarou: I already adore this dude and I plan to immediately do all of his free-time events. OK fine I’ll do other people’s ones as well, but he’s the one I’m most interested in talking to. Partly because I’m really inclined to think that he might die relatively early on so I want to get to know him immediately. He at least comes across like the sort of character who might get killed off early as a big plot twist, to contrast with how mysterious and plot-important he seems right now. I don’t really know what to expect from his role in the story, but it’s hard not to get Komaeda vibes off of him, especially in the parts where he gets vaguely sinister. Thankfully his personality is already pretty notably different. He definitely seems like the character who’s probably most ‘plot-important’ other than Kaede and maybe K1-B0. It makes me wonder what his deal is, especially since he doesn’t remember his talent. I hope the inevitable reveal isn’t lame or anything. I also can’t help but wonder if maybe he’ll become some sort of love interest for Kaede, but I guess Shuichi would probably fit the mark better at this point. Who knows. I imagine that Kaede will have a love interest of some kind, since the other DR protagonists did. Anyway, I like his design as well. His outfit honestly seems like the sort of thing I could imagine a normal person wearing without it being weird at all. It’s neat. His hair looks mostly cool, like 90% of it does, but I can’t get over how weird those two upward-poking wavy bits at the top look. They’re so weird. Also, I’m still slightly thrown off by how deep and mellow his voice is, but it more or less fits his personality. I guess that in general his personality is a bit different than what I expected. I expected something a bit more fun and light-hearted.
K1-B0: OK first of all I might eventually just start calling him Keebo because it feels more natural than typing a name that has numbers and stuff in it. I still love his name, though. It never stops being the silliest thing ever to me, that his name is literally just a robot-y version of the Japanese word for hope. It’s great. I’m still kinda surprised that he didn’t end up being the game’s protagonist, given that he was front and center on the game’s first poster. He’s even the only character shown on the limited edition box design for the game. So who knows what’s up with him. Either way it’s hard not to see him as being potentially plot-important, with how immediately different he is to everyone else. We’ll see. His design is still kinda amazing and I love it. There’s a lot of places where V3′s character designs show restraint and realism, but hahaha not with this dude. In terms of his personality, I’m still really surprised that he’s mostly kinda nervous and defensive and high-strung, while also being pretty desperate to appear normal while being really unaware of normal things. Which is a fine way to write a robot character, and I prefer his ‘over-emotional’ portrayal over the more typical ‘emotionless robot’ characters we usually get. My main concern is that the game seems to be framing him as some sort of joke about “““SJWs”““, and it’s just bizarre and out of place. I also don’t know how the heck we’re even meant to view it thus far, since his whole ‘I’ll take you to court for your robophobic comments!’ attitude seems like it’s meant to be a joke, but at the same time his whole intro scene involves Kokichi literally questioning and denying his identity because he’s a robot, and being really inappropriate and invasive in general, so it’s kinda hard to view his defensiveness towards ‘robophobia’ as some sort of a joke we’re meant to laugh at. I guess we’ll see how it gets handled in the long run. Also let me just say that I’m REALLY happy they didn’t attempt to put some sort of obnoxious voice filter on him to make him seem more like a robot.
Maki: As I said above, I’m still suspicious about her prominent placing on that first poster we got. It’s even the reversible cover of the game, which is why I got reminded of it. I’m really curious to see what her deal is. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about her yet, since she’s mostly quiet and cold to people, which isn’t really a personality type I like seeing. I could see her potentially being a prominent part of trials, though, since she seems like she’d probably be calm and logical and whatnot. Also just to be blunt I kinda want her to be Kaede’s love interest, or at least one of them. I’ve kinda low-key shipped them since I first saw them. But do I really trust Kodaka to give me a healthy and mutually-alive same-sex ship after how DR3 ended? Not really, lol. I really like her design, though, even if her personality is a bit meh thus far. The red and black looks really nice, and it contrasts well with the brighter colours of Kaede’s design. Although there’s something weird about how her mouth is drawn. It looks a little wonky.
Kaito: I’m even more confused about what the hell this dude was doing on that promo poster, especially after seeing him in person. He basically seems like the Soda of this game, but thankfully way less weird and creepy. He seems like a really great dude all around, even if he’d be a bit too, uh, intense for me to enjoy being around in real life. I’m also still kinda amazed that he’s an astronaut, of all damn things. I remember that one coming out of nowhere. His whole conversation about how he illegally cheated to become an astronaut and when he got caught they just decided to keep him on board anyway was amazing. It’s a pretty hilarious way to address and basically gloss over the question of how a high-schooler could possibly be an astronaut. Also, his design is kinda hilarious. The simple white/purple theme works really well, but jesus christ his goddamn hair is amazing. I love it. It’s so silly. It’s like someone took a normal hairstyle and then messed with it in Photoshop. I wonder what it’d look like if they ever try and make figures of him. But I unironically love that the inner part of his jacket has a space design on it. That’s a nice detail, even if it’s hard to see normally. I can also tell that some of his expressions are going to be hilarious.
Kokichi: I can already tell that this dude’s gonna be a major player in this game, especially in trials. To the point where I’d be amazed if he doesn’t survive for at least four chapters or so. I feel like he’s going to be such a central part of the trial experience that cutting him out would leave a bit of a void. He’s obviously going to be sorta Komaeda-y in how he messes with people but he never actually kills anyone or anything. I’m just guessing, though. I’m also basing this on the demo I watched someone play, where that’s exactly how it went. [Though on the topic of trials, it’s still interesting to me that Rantarou and K1-B0 were specifically excluded from the demo trial]. I don’t know if I’m a huge fan of his overall personality, though. He just seems a bit annoying for the most part, even if he’ll probably be pretty compelling overall, partly in a ‘love to hate them’ sort of way. And obviously I disliked how incredibly shitty he was toward K1-B0. That was unpleasant. His design’s cool, though. I like how he seems to be wearing some sort of a loose straitjacket. His huge checker-print scarf is also pretty neat. Not sure how I feel about his hair-style. It’s a bit odd. I’m also curious to learn more about his talent, since it’s hard to imagine him genuinely being what he says he is. I wouldn’t be too surprised if he’s actually lying about his talent.
Gonta: I love him so much but he’s so obviously going to die because the baras always die. That’s not a spoiler though. I don’t actually know if he’ll die or not. I’m just assuming that he will because every character of his vague ‘type’ have died previously. He’s great, though. I love how much of a gentle giant he is. He just wants to be a gentleman and everyone’s just immediately intimidated by him instead. But then again he does get genuinely scary whenever someone insinuates that they dislike bugs. So that’s a thing. The fact that his whole talent is about how much he likes bugs is strangely endearing to me. It feels like such a gentle, delicate, and studious sort of field that it clashes with his design in a fun way. Also he has Harry Potter-y glasses and that’s adorable.
Miu: She’s kinda already turning into a problematic fave of mine. I totally get why she’d be too much for most people, and I’d hate her in real life, but as a character she’s really fun to watch, and adds a lot to the group dynamic. I’m not really expecting much from her in the long run though, since she’s obviously meant to be this game’s fanservice-y and kinda dumb character. I can’t help but wonder if she has some sort of connection to K1-B0 though, or if they might develop one, since her talent as an inventor who knows her way with machines seems sorta fishy in a game with a literal robot character in it. Her design’s also pretty nice, though the weird BDSM-y equipment she has is kinda hilarious and bizarre to look at. I love her aviator goggles, though.
Kirumi: I already like her a lot, though it’s sorta hard to pin down why. I think it’s mostly to do with me really liking her whole aesthetic. The spiderweb/broken glass pattern on her dress in particular is really cool. The only weird part is that it’s kinda weird how her eyelashes are drawn visibly through her hair. It just looks strange. There’s not much to say about her personality, though her whole ‘I’ll do what people tell me to do’ attitude is very worrying given, you know, the situation they’re all in. I don’t exactly expect her to survive. Also I’m still a bit confused what the difference in talent is between her being a maid and Chisa from DR3 being a housekeeper.
Tsumugi: She’s unexpectedly funny but I feel like she won’t last long, so that kinda sucks. Her overall design is still by far the plainest in the game, but I like how it’s an intentional choice that’s contrasted by her personality. I appreciate that she’s not, like, super wacky or anything, but she’s still pretty hilarious. Especially her realistically surprised reactions to stuff other characters say. It’s also a really neat detail how when she gets excited about something and clearly starts forgetting things like social boundaries, her sprite gets bigger and bigger like she’s entering your personal space. It’s also an interesting concept to have a cosplayer character who’s just wearing a really plain and boring school uniform, and cares mostly about the actual production of the costumes. I can’t help but wonder if her talent will end up leading to her being able to disguise herself as someone else. That’d be a really interesting thing to use in a murder case. Also I seriously hope there’s a scene in the game where she’s just cosplaying as Junko for no real reason, and you’re tricked into thinking for a moment that Junko’s genuinely back in this game. That’d be amazing.
Korekiyo: I have no idea what to make of this dude thus far. He didn’t really get many lines outside of his intro scene. He definitely seems like the most ‘creepy’ character. I kinda like him, though. The way that he talks about the beauty of humanity makes me really curious to see how he reacts to the killings as they happen. It’d be a bit amusing if he lives for the entire game and just keeps being really fucking weird about the whole thing while everyone just averts their eyes. His entire design is incredibly weird to me, and it’s kinda hard to tell what they’re going for beyond ‘this dude’s incredibly super chuuni’. It doesn’t seem to fit his actual personality much. You’d think he’d be way more, well, chuuni, I guess. It also kinda surprised me when I looked at his profile and saw that, at least relative to average Japanese heights, he’s actually really tall. It’s kinda difficult to tell people’s relative heights in VN-esque games like this. Also, I actually think it’s really cool that he’s an anthropologist. It’s cool to see an actual academic field like this in the franchise. There’s not too many characters with talents like that. I hope he gives out lots of random trivia about anthropology-related things.
Himiko: She’s not exactly my sort of character, but I like her. I mostly like the little ways in which she’s handled differently than how you’d expect her to be. Like how the only fanciful part of her design is her witch hat, which isn’t very fancy itself, and how she’s really chill and mellow but also a little childish. Even when she’s trying to be bombastic, it’s pretty chill. Also her whole ‘magic is real’ thing reminds me so much of Beatrice from Umineko, and that just makes me immediately like her, even if they’re [presumably] very different characters.
Angie: I keep mentally grouping her and Himiko into the ‘short, cute girl’ category for some reason, even though they’re very different. She’s definitely very . . . unique, that’s for sure. I’m still thrown off by her accent. I get what they’re going for, but for some reason it just sounds sorta French to me, so it feels like they told her VA ‘put on a foreign accent’ without telling her WHICH accent to put on. I don’t know if her accent is necessarily inaccurate for the part of the world she’s from, but ‘French’ is my first thought upon hearing it, so it feels odd. I like it, though. It’s a unique voice. Her design as a whole is definitely really cool. I love how bright and cheerful it is, colour-wise. I like her bright and bubbly personality a lot, though she can be a little creepy at times, like in the whole ‘blood sacrifice for Atua’ scene.
Ryoma: Thus far he’s immediately my favourite ‘cartoon-y and unrealistic-looking’ character, compared to ones like Hifumi and Teruteru. For one thing, he’s not a perverted creep, so that immediately puts him about fifty levels above those two. I also genuinely adore the way that he acts and talks like he came out of some kinda detective noir film, and has a Dark Backstory [tm] involving him murdering mafia members with a goddamn steel tennis ball. It’s so melodramatic and angsty but so incredibly hilarious because he’s like a three-foot tall teenage tennis player dramatically talking about how he used his tennis-playing talent to kill, and that he’s now just an empty shell of who he once was. I love him already. If he gets killed off, that’d be a real shame. But his character type also never survives, sadly. I don’t have much else to say about his design itself, but I think he has a chain around his ankle like a stereotypical ball and chain put on prisoners and that’s just the icing on the cake of how amazingly emo his design is.
Tenko: Not gonna lie, I almost forgot she existed and had to look at the cover of the game to figure out who I was missing. She’s probably my least favourite character thus far simply due to me liking everyone else more, and also due to me just not being a huge fan of her design. It’s mostly just the way that her uniform looks like it’s five sizes too small, but her giant green hair ribbons are also a bit weird, and so is the weird DNA helix-y way her hair is braided. It’s a bit of a bizarre design all around. But I absolutely adore her facial expressions so much. They’re fantastic. I love how unrepentantly weird and gross some of them are. That fucking smile-smirk-grimace-thing she does when she first talks about ‘degenerate males’ is one of the funniest things in this game thus far. Although on that note, her whole man-hating thing is already a little grating. It’s not terrible, but still. Although it looks like the game might do some funny things with it, like how in the demo she couldn’t say which guy walked into the cafeteria because she just hates men so goddamn much that she basically blocked him out of her vision and then couldn’t remember who it was later. That sorta thing is amusing.
Monokids: I almost forgot to comment on these guys, but I may as well, since they’re a noteworthy new aspect of the game. They’re definitely very fitting for the franchise, but it’s almost overwhelming having so many variations of Monokuma running around. It was also really weird how it felt like half of the script in the prologue was just them talking, and the actual main characters just responding to them sometimes. I hope they don’t hog the screen-time that much for the rest of the game. I’m pretty interested to see what the hell their deal is, though, since presumably someone is controlling them, but they seem to be operating independently from Monokuma. I guess they might just be actual autonomous robots though. But still.
I don’t think there’s really any point to me saying anything about Monokuma, since he’s not exactly a new character. But I can’t help but wonder who’s controlling him this time, if he’s not also an autonomous robot. Presumably it’d be an all-new character this time around, unless they somehow bring back an old character. But if it’s a new mastermind, will it be one of the main characters of this game? If so, how? If it’s not, then who would it be? I doubt that the mastermind would end up being a completely, entirely new character. I guess we’ll see.
Anyway that got really really long but oh well. I have a lot to say about this game already, lol. I’m really excited to finally be sitting down to play one of these games on my own terms, rather than just seeing someone else play it on Youtube. Even if it’s been a bit of a nightmare trying to get the necessary equipment to legally play it.
I’m very curious to see where my opinion falls in the long run, since this seems to be a very ‘love it or hate it’ kinda game. I don’t really have super high expectations though, at least after I disliked DR2′s ending, and I thought UDG was kinda weird, and I thought DR3 was a bit of a trainwreck. I love this franchise a lot, but it can also be kinda terrible at times, so I’m keeping my hopes in check for this one.

Harlots 1.04 reactions
So, I LOVED THIS EPISODE. Tensions are rising all around, yes, in subtle and overt ways alike, and there are definitely many things being set up to go HORRIBLY WRONG, yes, but I loved it. And look how precious Lucy looks with her hair all up in curls!
Tumblr media
What’s the etiquette about how long I have to wait before screaming about this ep publicly, btw? Or posting caps or gifs of it? ‘Cause, like, I don’t wanna spoil anything for anyone, but uh. I’ve got a lot of feelings. I will always tag #harlots spoilers on things from the most recent ep, but it’s difficult to know when things are considered fair game when it’s airing on different schedules and platforms internationally.
For now, spoilers below the cut. In which I offer unexpectedly Deep Thoughts™ about that final scene and ramble about my favorite bits — namely:
VIOLET + AMELIA + THE FEAST IN HELL
Tumblr media
“There’s a story, about a feast in Hell...”
Oh my god, I am slain. I love these two. And oysters! Feeding each other oysters, for goodness’ sake. Would clams have been too on the nose, you think?
Then again, maybe those were clams. I don’t know how to tell shellfish apart. But I do know a beautiful blossoming sapphic romance when I see one, and I’m so glad that this one was not destined to be only subtext. And yes, Violet definitely moved a bit fast there — one wonders if women loving women is even a concept that exists in Amelia’s brain, sheltered as she is — but I can’t wait to see how Amelia reacts later on and where they do or do not go from here.
It’s also just lovely to see Amelia getting some independence from her mother. I feel for her, because one can plainly tell that she truly loves her mother and is devoted to her, so even though Florence is not a fave of mine, I sympathize with Amelia’s love. And with Florence’s love for Amelia in turn. Not to mention that I’m much more intrigued by Florence as of this episode than I was previously, given the revelation about her past!
HARRIET LENNOX DIDO, QUEEN OF CARTHAGE
Tumblr media
Let’s just say that I, like Lord Repton, am impressed by Harriet’s performance here. I mean. Damn. I’ve been calling Nancy the dominatrix of my heart, but Harriet seems cut from the same cloth. I was pretty weak for her bossiness, I gotta say.
I really love Harriet, and although I sympathize with her initial resistance to taking this step and don’t want her to do anything she doesn’t want to, I have to agree that harloting stands her a better chance of earning enough money to buy her children’s freedom than simply being a kitchen maid did. That scene where she goes to see her kids and Benjamin sends them inside — HEARTBREAKING.
Honestly, fuck Ben Lennox and his pouty little face. My heart just, like, aches thinking of how much Harriet misses her kiddos, and I thought it was well-done and in-character that the thing that made her actually consider harloting in the first place was hearing about Kitty’s child.
And then we come to the end of the episode and holy SHIT:
I THOUGHT I WAS IMAGINING THE WEIRD SEXUAL TENSION BETWEEN CHARLOTTE AND HAXBY.
Tumblr media
I WAS NOT.
I was ... not imagining it.
Look — I already loved Edward Hogg from his roles in Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell and Taboo, so I suppose I’ve been trying to convince myself that the way he and Charlotte kept ... flirt-bickering in previous eps was just me projecting my feelings for him onto their interactions. Inflating his character’s importance in my head, y’know? I occasionally allowed myself to play with the idea that something like this would happen (despite more seriously shipping Charlotte with Marney), but I didn’t think it actually would!
Not that this is honestly a good turn of events, mind. A bit of frantic hate-sex up against a wall is not going to make Charlotte and Haxby actually like each other, and now more than ever, I suspect that this little war between them is going to end badly for them both. Probably worse for Haxby, considering he’s not, y’know, a main series protagonist. But I always foresaw this feud creating big problems for Charlotte somewhere down the line, and now it has even more potential than ever for very big problems indeed. For the nonce, though? To be honest, for the nonce, I can’t help but simply grin about my boy getting quality hate fucked. Didn’t really look like Mr. Haxby is the world’s most talented lover, so far as finesse goes, but at least he’s passionate!
More seriously, it’s a fascinating turn of events for both of them, from a characterization perspective. Fun to see Haxby both literally and metaphorically so much less buttoned-up than usual, yes, dropping his priggish, holier-than-thou attitude so readily, but the real point of interest is, of course, Charlotte. A major theme throughout this episode is that she is losing control. Despite what she says in her handjob lesson to Lucy about how men and their dicks are the easiest things in the world to manage, Charlotte is losing her grip on Howard, and she’s losing her grip on herself when it comes to Marney.
So, fucking Haxby? Was about regaining control. It was about her being upset and angry and set aside and disregarded and betrayed by both Howard and her own feelings, and then here comes this jerk who always acts so superior to her, so it’s about literally grabbing this jackass by the dick and regaining control in the way that Charlotte is used to controlling men. Even snooty Haxby can’t resist her, yeah? It was an impulsive and bitter and aggressive act, but in the moment, at least, I think it gave her back a sense of power.
Tumblr media
The consequences ... I’m not sure what the consequences will be. She could leverage it against Haxby, or he could leverage it against her. As much as I like the idea that they could possibly overcome their differences, I doubt it will suddenly be sunshine and kittens between them now, let’s just say that.
Other Things:
Lucy catching the eyes of Lords Fallon & Osborne? NOT GOOD, Y'ALL. NOT HEARTENED BY THIS TURN OF EVENTS.
I feel so protective of Lucy, I am so afraid for her. This poor girl has already been through way too much and I just ... want to fight anyone who would dare harm her. Just having to be a harlot is obviously traumatic enough for her, not to mention her time at the Reptons; plleeeease don’t throw her to the mercy of the likes of Fallon and Osborne, too...
Holy shit, it’s Lydia without her makeup and wig! I scarcely recognized her. She looks so normal!
Emily and Charles ... Charles and Emily. I kind of love their relationship? I don’t know. He’s a fool for sure, and she can be a bit of a fool, too, and it’s almost endearing to see him try to stand up to Mama, but mostly it just makes me cringe. Emily’s not among my favorites, but I don’t wish any ill on her, and I hope she manages to escape at some point now that she’s starting to glimpse below the Quigley house’s gilded surface.
Since Emily’s so wrapped up in the Quigley side of the narrative, though, dare I suspect that one of her big roles in the narrative might be to stumble upon some information regarding the kidnappings...?
Good for Marie-Louise for jumping ship, though. She’s a businesswoman. Sees an opportunity, seizes it. I like her.
We’re four eps in and I’m only now figuring out what the heck Josef Altin’s character, like, is. (i.e., He’s also a sex worker.) Up till now he was just spying and loitering sneakily and I didn’t quite know what his deal was. I still do not, however, know his name. I’m sure they said it, but I didn’t catch it. Altin’s not listed on the show’s IMDb, for some reason (neither is Ed Hogg??), so I can’t even check there. I’ve just been calling him Pyp. I suspect that even if I do manage to pick up his name, I will continue to call him Pyp.
Anyway, the point of that tangent is that I really liked the outfit he was wearing for the masquerade.
Lord and Lady Repton continue to be the strangest humans, and I cringe a little thinking of what Marney must be putting up with in their employ. Marney, if they invite you out for hunting, fucking run.
Anyway, if y’all need me, I’ll be lowkey screaming inside about this episode till next week. You are always welcome to come scream your thoughts at me!

Saw Justice League Again
1:00 pm I'm putting the time well I saw the 10:30 am showing and it just turned 1:01 some seconds ago.
Seriously hope just this isn't bothering I'm being weird. Yet I decided to walk here to Target and find a seat not my usual spot a older lady is next to it.
Including went to the bathroom here I wanted to and just chill out.
Sorry and I'm gonna tag this with the DCEU Positivity right thumb rubbed nose or just my nail whatever.
Really I wanted to give my thoughts again and honestly I still enjoy it. I'm still not gonna post any spoilers unless I guess I'm ready but some people have. Including my last post about it. With the stuff happening. Gonna admit it wasn't really packed yet mainly people were below me.
But honestly about the movie the words a damn good time I feel still fits.
Yet I have a problem with the fact certain scenes even some from the trailers were cut out. I've haven't heard anything of Imax screenings having them. But I seriously feel it would help the movie. Also I don't wanna be negative I just wanna give out my thoughts.
Will be honest some parts are still quite funny. Including the beginning credits I still felt like crying. Even just seriously because I'm not gonna spoil stuff. But the way the film sets up and even that first part. But also just I will say I think I mentioned it in my first impressions post.
The parts where I'm like emotional where my eyes feel like they have water. It's the parts with Superman because I can honestly feel like the affect does work. Including even afterwards but I'm gonna say this.
So I'm not trying to spoil the film. But even beforehand many people knew Superman was gonna come back. Yet I feel like his return I feel like at first it's nice and I don't wanna say it doesn't bring an impact.
Including I think my first time seeing it I felt emotional. Seriously I'm one of those people that likes Superman.
Along with I see what they were trying to do. Including I don't wanna sound stupid if that was Zack's vision I'll respect that.
To be honest and I even thought this during the movie I guess it was getting towards the final battle. I thought to myself expectations are I'm trying to remember a different thing or whatever.
Because when you expect something you expect it to be brilliant and beautiful. But the reality is that it's very different.
To be silly even before the movie released. Please don't find it weird but understand. I think I was expecting just a moment where Superman just he doesn't show up and I mean you don't see him. Including I felt like I've talked about this before. You see Stephenwolf get his assed kicked blown away I guess from lasers and everyone see's it's Superman.
Including this scene where Superman lands on the ground says hi to everyone. They are all so surprised and Batman just decides to hug him. Along with Superman or Clark basically just okay Bruce softly crying and Clark asks if he's crying and Bruce denies it.
Honestly Batman crying since rumors of or some what confirmed it's been a while okay Flash's film being Flashpoint and theirs a scene work Batman I've read and heard people talk about.
Along with since I'm talking about Batman crying said Superman in my head. To be silly I was expecting bro moments and just some weird form of Superman x Batman. Basically even more of a continuation of Batman well Bruce after BVS he really thinks he's the reason Superman's dead and seriously trying his best.
Also I'm not trying to spoil anything even learning just Superman I'm talking about more comic based or what I've read. Is that the sun just....this is about Superman Doomsday that film and just Superman not really being dead it's just he needs the sun.
Listen I'm rambling on but I wanted to continue to say I liked this movie. Including all the characters and what time with spent with them. But I feel bothered knowing not all of the footage is there even as I watched it and enjoyed the film. Knowing their was more footage. Including some that helped characters development or some shit.
But seriously Aquaman, Cyborg, and Flash are all amazing. Even the characters with minor roles were great too for the time they were there.
Including I wanted to mention about the soundtrack while I like Danny Elfman I missed Junkie XL's music. Reason I'm not mentioning Hans While they can use his music he said he retired from comic book movies.
Seriously I felt the music they worked on I've heard the word in my head emotionally powerful because it's seriously memorable and fits with moments. I heard in my head forgettable stop it just it was a nice soundtrack and it being a nice treat bringing scores like the classic Batman theme Danny Elfman made and the Superman one which I can't seem to notice their might of been a moment okay to be honest I don't know and I don't wanna hate on it. Including as a guy who's never seen the older Superman films. Only a bit of Superman 3.
Well see the lady left I wanna say this. Also okay the Batman score was hoping and I first heard it the new version from the soundtrack a TheFilmJunkee video. I feel like it would of been nice after you hear the old Batman theme it then switches to the theme from, "Do You Bleed" like it goes to that. Yet if I remember just it's part of a scene. Honestly I don't wanna spoil much. But just in case it's where Commissioner Gordon shows up.
Now the thing I wanted to talk about. Remember I mentioned I felt overspoiled by the ultimate edition of BVS. It's because just seeing the ultimate edition a kind of complete film. I seriously liked the film a whole lot more. Including seeing it after Man Of Steel. Because BVS was seriously a film just...I wanna say flawed ow right arm elbow whatever. It really sticks with me and dang I put my elbow on the side of the table.
But it's a film I wanna say not perfect okay I like it. I like the film a shit ton. While at first not a fan of the DCEU I'm gonna tell you guys this meh left arm on side yet fine. But before from what I remember I didn't attack anyone. Yet over time I've changed was gonna put learn and got away from Disney and Marvel but also some of the reasons are personal.
Even though I'm hesitant to see Suicide Squad really I shouldn't I didn't even watch it before seeing Justice League and I've told myself I'll watch it later or whatever. I have the movie one day hoping this year kind of confirming this I'll watch it Friday or.....meh I'm trying to force myself.
Honestly the impact just.... kind of like or yeah like how I wanted to see the ultimate edition of BVS in theaters. I also wanna see the full version of Justice League. Including just I respect Zack Snyder and just anyone else who worked on it. Even his wife who helps him. I seriously really do and while I enjoyed the film. It didn't have everything and this could also be expectations. Weird okay thought in my head was expecting BVS 2.1 being weird I know Justice League was gonna be lighter.
But I'll say this I thought it's just BVS left an impact on me.
Yet I'm sounding like I hate the film no I liked it. But thought loved it in my head. Mainly I wanna be honest. Yet also was surprised by well I still enjoyed seeing the film again and not so bad. Despite the changes seriously the scenes should be brought back in. That's mainly my concern and the soundtrack too.
Got tags done and wanna say oh my head just really just...no I don't have to see it again unless I want to. But I still enjoyed it despite shit getting cut out I would of liked that shit. I'm rambling also almost forgot this and it just turned to time just wanted to make this text post just saying.
Including two people clapped well the big scene I don't wanna spoil but the final battle where...well Superman comes back and now time changed I'm rambling I wanted to talk more about this 1:44

Sonic Forces In One Day
1:46 am well was trying to think of a good title. One that would make sense and did time change but just I've been thinking. I mentioned in my last post about Sonic Forces related stuff oh water eyes just drinks.
Mainly such as two okay it's 1:47 am now and I had ideas for two posts. But I feel their were so much and just...I felt like I needed to share the amount of stuff I was thinking. I was gonna make one after I turn off my laptop. But I feel I have to make this or some shit.
Including I wanna mention this. I thought of this I suppose hours ago. Because I was watching Knight Of The Wind he's a Sonic related and I seriously recommend him to anyone who likes Sonic it's been a while since I've seen his content. It's mainly the ones about Sonic Forces. I watched these I...okay I'm trying to be honest yeah if I remember right in order, "Where The Hell Is Blaze", "Bad Voice Acting", "Opinions And Controversy" had to go on Google and look at his videos list now, and let me look, "Final Thoughts Before Release" and it's no spoilers.
But during I guess maybe the first time also be being weird I'm like going to at his Blaze video and being all bullshit.
Yet I thought of this and....this I want it to relate to something I feel that happened. To be honest seriously if the custom character Buddy almost left Bubby something or a character I've been shitting on ever since it was first announced.
If the custom character.....Buddy in a way I don't wanna spoil Gears Of War 3. But this is what sparked this up. If Buddy dies and Sonic mainly modern Sonic is torn apart by this.
Including if Buddy does something that helps Sonic and the resistance but it results in him dying.
I was seriously thinking this music I gonna find it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hW93CV6m-JU found it and went back to Knight Of The Wind's channel nice just....the last or just I feel during towards the end of the last video about his final thoughts. Even said in my head they helped me.
But just...during I guess towards the end I thought to myself that I remember now. Seeing him mainly happy he's excited. While I'm excited yet I hate the custom character so much. I thought to myself and thought I think okay....let go of the hate towards the custom character. Then felt like crying. I had a new Diet Dr. Pepper I have two of them finished one and was drinking that with the popcorn.
Yet honestly yeah and I even said I am a child when I pressed his username below his video.
Basically just....we are now officially a day before Sonic Forces comes out.
I should just talk about the game.
The stuff I've been thinking about. Honestly I even thought this and remember I've said this before this has been an emotional rollercoaster for me.
From being interested when finally seeing the trailer months later I made a journal about it on Deviantart yeah it was months later I wasn't in the Sonic mood. Then over time I got more excited even thinking I knew or hoped what the game would be about such as the third character not awesome oh head about that character. Then when it turns out the theory of it being a custom character was revealed.
Alright had to yeah tv back working this 4 hours no activity shit but seriously when it was revealed I snapped in a way. My excitement went very down. Then over time I got excited again including the villains trailer and Infinite with his theme song. Hearing now in that Blaze video from Knight Of The Wind again after months or some shit.
Then just it went up and down, and seeing more stuff. Even me ignoring the tag team trailer for I guess some weeks or I forgot how long and seeing the story trailer and being disappointed.
Now we have links and I made a post. Or two posts basically and me being upset and became in more favor of a 10th anniversary remastered version of Sonic Unleashed for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Basically all next gen systems wanted to be clear on that sorry oh head I'm saying too much.
But yeah just.....I've talked about this a bit. Yet not much on Deviantart okay I just thought maybe I should copy this and post this on Deviantart.
In a way basically no I'm sorry I'm talking about my experience of waiting for this game. I thought of this maybe two hours again or just one or so.
This I feel is similar to what's happening with the DCEU. It may sound stupid and I'm still kind of new. Basically what I mean is people praise Wonder Woman a shit ton. A film that surprised me and over time I decided to rethink my opinions about the DCEU.
Now Justice League is coming soon and ever since last year that film has been dealing with so much shit. Such as rumors, news that's fake and just seriously. Including just I shouldn't say other stuff. But okay the tragedy that happened with Zack Snyder and people saying Joss Whedon took over the film fully when he's just finishing some final touches.
A weird comparison.
Sonic Mania is Wonder Woman and Sonic Forces is Justice League.
While I'm excited for Justice League and hope for the best. Even if I've heard some good stuff about it. My head says random negative shit. I'm hoping the film seriously gets some praise. Because just I feel it would be for the best. Yet I'll give my own opinion and like it however it is. If I don't like it fine if I do like it that's good that's awesome. Or even a ultimate edition like BVS which helped me a lot.
Yet right now just Sonic Forces hasn't been dealing with the amount of shit Justice League has been dealing with and that's good. But it's not all safe. Basically just waiting and Sonic Mania being a great game. Despite the fact I haven't played it since my friend @fatpinkraccoon423 yeah gonna mention him beware of his account he's very gay. I wanna message on here and say something about Sonic Forces is tommorow like that Game Of Thrones winter is coming meme.
Sonic Forces is coming....it's coming here people...not sexually you can laugh it can be silly.
Yet honestly I haven't played Sonic Mania because of Flying Battery zone I'm just seriously don't like that final boss and it's the one from what I remember where people thought was Eggman's daughter or some shit. When really it's not. Also the fact I feel like I'm bad at Sonic games I can't be.
Basically even at times I feel the praise and some stupid praise the whole hasn't been a good Sonic game in 23 years which is bullshit almost left 24. I remember a comment not a bad one probably below the intro scene for Sonic Mania. About how Sonic Forces will really need to outdo Sonic Mania or was it a video talking about the bullshit reviewers wait. 2:27 sorry can't find it I even thought it might be a waste of time but its a good video on how it was bullshit the whole best good Sonic game in 23 years.
Basically just....I even thought this and which is why I mentioned I was looking up Sonic Unleashed on Wikipedia. I was looking at the scores and also did read some comments below those videos I mentioned a top. No spoilers good.
I adore Sonic Unleashed a shit ton. I'm one of the people who seriously likes the game. It has mixed reviews yet my feelings towards it are very positive. Despite scores being better for Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations. I personally feel Sonic Unleashed is my favorite next gen Sonic game and I remember the PS3 version the one I play and adore. That has 54/100 by I don't know who I just saw it on Wikipedia. I've even had thoughts of getting it on Xbox 360 but that's another story.
Including from some comments I read and seriously thumbnails nothing big but seriously people more it seems or just they have gotten the game early which sucks said in my head stop it. Seriously what the fuck I thought right now.
Yet it has some nice scores, mixed it seems and I'm thinking so possibly a bit, and it's flawed as fuck but fun.
I've been thinking just Sonic games. Even for games people won't like their are things I really like about them. Whether it's story or even gameplay or other stuff.
Including just that might as well happen to Sonic Forces the same way. My own personal thoughts like I've said no it doesn't suck seriously negative shit in head. It's gonna be my opinion only and I should not be affected by other people's views I seriously shouldn't.
Listen this is random post it's me babbling and rambling and shit. I even thought seeing Knight Of The Wind's videos might wanna check Sonicguru after school.
Including I have school on Tuesday I even thought an hour ago or so should I take a sick day yet if I'm actually sick or close to it. Also I will start to download at night.
Okay this is me rambling I don't talk much about the game yet it's me and I thought of this talking about my experience waiting.
The gameplay looks nice and awesome and just other stuff the characters and I said gameplay.....this just....might count but just...that custom character. Basically Tuesday is gonna be a day where character development of myself might happen....
Think I should say it almost left like it. But honestly I feel I might expect to like it. Yet I just remembered that idea of Buddy dying. Also found out about this Network shit from Knight Of The Wind and didn't see this video something of a character dying even though it might not be serious.
Yet when I thought of that whole idea no doesn't suck stop...said perfect in head. I thought I hated this custom character so much. But I get so emotional over this Buddy character if this idea happens. Then thinking I should of been a lot nicer and just less harsh no just...said it sucks in my head....
Sonic Forces is a game that's something I'm just....an experience. As a fan who's passionate about the franchise. Including just my first time waiting for a Sonic game with my own hopes. It didn't happen much with Sonic Generations because I was younger and just was excited. But when your my friend and you tell me my head almost left friend....but my mind being wrapped in head canons and just 4 years without a main Sonic game. We have Sonic Mania that's sweet man. Yet Sonic Forces was a game I was always wondering and excited about... thought cool in my head.
Honestly this isn't like Knight Of The Wind's final thoughts video where I talk about or just....I did talk about the game. Yet in a different way. Basically me being serious. Because I'm worried, being cautious, probably scared, excited as all fuck. It's been some very long months. Also a year I left the word gear. But a year since it's announcement said awesome in my head.
I think with me talking and shit I want to have the best and hope for the best. Still haven't put that heroes and villains theme on said said sweet in head. Forgot what else but....also don't know how to switch my icon just...stop with the random feelings.
I'm feeling both positive and negative about the game no it can't suck.....just....I'm very sorry this is very long. Because it's been so many months.
I just want a good or even great game. I'm being paranoid as all fuck my Autistic mind just saying and just waiting for this game. Including me worrying I've been acting like a child, I've been overreacting and paranoid about this game. Yet I'm still very excited for it. It's been quite some time and it's tomorrow where just can I say this too.
Seriously even some spoilers I've read. A part of me doesn't wanna believe them. They were from that streaming thing that the Sonic I think YouTube channel did. That it was the first half or some shit. I'm gonna experience the game myself and see what it is like.
I seriously don't believe some of the spoilers or I'm being stupid because I just seriously wanna play the whole game now. Which is why I wanna avoid many spoilers. Despite what people are saying bullshit it must be from that streaming thing from the Sonic YouTube page.
It might happen but I really hope I like the game. Might happen yet I'm just paranoid and this is becoming weird. Yet just.... Tuesday is gonna be a weird day I presume because I'm finally gonna give my first impressions on the game. Not a review I'm not finishing a game in a day. I should hope for the best despite what my mind says. Almost put I again but I almost forgot to copy this. Fuck it I would have to copy every paragraph fuck this shit man.
I'm sorry and got tags done. I just hoping I like the game might honestly seems like just.... I just this game got me thinking a lot. I remember I'm sorry of being in the tags. Yet just honestly I want the best and just my head....I'm mixed paranoid and hope for the best 2:59

Dunkirk
Well I'm now talking about this movie I just got out of the shower and done washing my hands. Including just saying I saw Jeremy Jahns review before I saw the movie hours before. Also I'm gonna say this is my opinion and seeing Jeremy's review and reading the comments it got me thinking. So I'm not gonna spoil including I don't think and I've been thinking I'm not gonna make this a very detailed reaction or review. Because it was a film I've been thinking of wanting to see it. Yet it's a film I wasn't no offense so involved of wanting to see or think about. I wanted to see it because of the positive buzz around it and me, my Nana, and my bro saw it. I'm gonna say it I found it good. Including I'm gonna say seriously just some of the comments below Jeremy's review. Honestly we all have different opinions and film is subjective and I've been thinking that with some media mainly video games. Including it may sound stupid I have different opinions on certain films I honestly like. These might be well the first one might be a good example yet the 2nd one could be weird. Yet I like films like Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice mainly the Ultimate Edition and Rugrats Go Wild. Really entertainment such as film is subjective to be honest I don't like the Oscars as much. I don't care for it almost left really again behind that first sentence. It depends on how you see the film. I'm gonna say I enjoyed Dunkirk quite a bit. Including honestly just watching it and trying to study it I was trying to determine what am I gonna think about this film. Including as I was thinking about it after we saw the movie. Little spoilers much nothing extreme or very big story related. Also the first part here's a little spoiler me and my bro well my Nana explained to us and after the movie when the credits rolled on. She said she saw it but when we got home she said she didn't wanna tell us or was it my mom think my Nana. But she told us the film was what I said when talking to her and trying to tell my mom despite my bro being kind of an asshole telling me to shush and putting his God damn left index finger on his mouth that my mom took it off. Basically the story of the film is told from 3 perspectives about people trying to get or around and survive the land of Dunkirk. Sorry if I get anything wrong. Including a part of the main story and even the tagline says when these men I'm not gonna look up how many when they couldn't get home, home came to them. I just looked at Rotten Tomatos you want the short info of the story of what it's about here it is I just want to talk about the movie. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/dunkirk_2017 no offense or something. Including said in my head good really fucking awesome. Okay just thinking that when I was looking at the Rotten Tomatos page on my phone. Just saying I mainly make my own opinions I think Rotten Tomatos is an okay site it's not perfect. Yet since I'm concerned of what movies I go to and well even for other people's sake. I meant to spend my money on something I think I will really like. It depends on the movie. I'm gonna say spoiler a bit not much. Me and my bro missed a bit of the start and we came into the movie where one of the characters was damn sideways thing but one of the main characters was trying to get to the beach. My Nana told us the beginning was mainly explaining stuff as I said. Luckily despite I would of loved to see that and some of the little parts before the whole movie and events kept going. I felt like my movie experience was still pretty damn okay. Including we were late because well food and we were at In And Out and my bro was being a annoyance and sneaked in some chicken nuggets and French Fries into there they got me a Dr. Pepper. Mainly it wasn't the best time. I even mentioned In And Out by mistake and meant Hot Dog On A Stick at the Sierra Vista mall since it was next to the theater. Sorry back to the movie. I honestly did like it and to be honest I don't mind the idea well the okay DeviantArt message but the idea that the characters. Spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen Jeremy Jahns review. The characters I will say you don't get much info about them, yet their actions and even some of their dialogue stands out a bit. I tried to focus and the idea of well from my experience you don't hear their names much. Really as I thought about it and even some of the comments talked about it. Including how I think about it too, it's not about certain individuals, it's about the different perspectives of these different people of how their actions and at times yeah theirs other perspectives about how all of them in their own ways contribute and show the things that happened. Including others trying to help and trying to survive. It's about the people I remember seeing a comment said, everyone was involved in a way or almost everyone. I'm gonna say it could be a bit difficult maybe the first perspective where theirs more characters as their story goes along. I'm gonna say this I did have a bit of problems trying to tell who was who. Gonna spoil this a bit it was the soldiers most of them had black hair. Yet you really have to concentrate on telling who's face is different. Yet I liked it quite a bit. Yes their was some development. What I also really liked spoiler a bit how in the end and some what mentioned this how all these perspectives come together and it finishes the story quite nicely. Also I'm gonna say it was pretty intense. Due to some wonderful acting, and the beautiful amazing score from Hans Zimmer the soundtrack is lovely. In fact at times kind of scary wanna say terrifying yeah okay no it doesn't suck it's because of certain moments. Where the music gets really going and you feel the intensity. Including even when me and my bro got into the theater the sounds are loud and people well Jeremy Jahns said this. The sounds I might sound stupid they sound like actual guns or just any weapon. Including the other set pieces sorry to say that but like how things are designed and used. How things are portrayed. I wanna say the whole thing of being realistic I felt worried to say that, yet the way it's handled I like it. To be honest I kept thinking I felt at one part it seemed like is their gonna be another event or is it gonna end. Mainly some stuff was unexpected. In fact this part that was in the trailer where well a soldiers eye gets hurt and meh I was trying to cover my eyes cause I was thinking that part was close. Honestly it wasn't that bad. Really I enjoyed it quite a bit. Might be one of my favorites this year. Honestly it seriously it. Okay yeah I went in a bit deep but not much ha in deep. Including after that my bro got some Batman poster from this comic and collectible store next to the theater. Lots of cool stuff there even board games and these expansive ass statues ha. Okay normal to smile. Honestly I'm a Christopher Nolan fan well not the biggest. I like his work. Mainly it's The Dark Knight trilogy and I've seen a bit of Inception. I felt like I had a good time and saw a good movie. I mainly recommend it. But I wanna warn you. The way it handles characters I kind of want to say the way they handled them is realistic but people might find that bullshit. Ha normal to smile I'm sorry I'm just at times when I talk about certain movies like this. I'm worried of people attacking me and honestly I think I want to really tell how I feel and hope nobody attacks me. Also I'm not an expert ha normal to smile just.....okay I don't wanna sound like a douchebag I don't want people hating me. Got the tag down ha phone put done just normal to smile even now sorry
