THE STORY BEHIND THE (COLORIZED) PICTURE: Fighter pilot Lieutenant Jack Taylor (“Jack”) from the 430th Squadron of the Canadian Royal Air Force (No. 430 Squadron RCAF) poses next to his damaged P-51A Mustang (A-36) fighter at Clifton airfield. The plane was damaged on February 23, 1944, during an exercise by Canadian troops in the York area, the plane took off for reconnaissance under Jack Taylor. During the flight, the fighter hooked the wires to the power lines near Haxby. As a result, one of the pillars fell onto the Scarborough-York railway, blocking traffic in both directions. 20 yards (about 19 meters) of the broken cable from power lines remained in the wing of the aircraft. The pilot was very lucky, despite the damage received, he managed to land the plane on his Clifton airfield (Royal Air Force Station Clifton). Exploring the life and mysterious death of Mary Haxby-Jones, whose body was found in a San Diego home freezer nine years after her disappearance.
Haxby-Jones, a longtime San Diego resident and nurse-anesthetist was found in December in the home she’d lived in for many years.
… someone visiting the home opened an unlocked, plugged-in freezer. There, folded inside, was her body…. The frozen corpse was discovered Dec. 22 by out-of-town family members related to the current resident – not Haxby-Jones, police said.

just finished rewatched the downton abbey series so…
in england 1924, haxby place gains a new owner. the grantham/crawleys dont think too much of it, just a new neighbor.
one day, tom branson and his daughter sybbie are out for a drive. heading back from downton village, they come upon a blonde man whose car has broken down. they offer him a ride back to the abbey so he can call his own home.
the man introduces himself as billy hargrove, an american whose family has recently moved from california.
one thing leads to another and tom finds himself falling for the younger man. thomas, of course, has also seen billy and the two toms may have a similar person of interest.
timeline? what timeline. sybil is gone but matthew is still alive. rose is there because i love her. the hargrove-mayfields have moved from california because of the prohibition in america, and they just so happen to have a winery. a very wealthy winery, which they are trying to bring to life in england. billy’s grandfather on his mother’s side, lord william prince, is coincidentally dying so his willful son-in-law neil has come to the rescue.
billy has an older sister, barbra. ok its barbie. she is so amazing and she is the perfect older sibling for billy, our own malibu barbie.
barbie is 27, billy is 25, max is 15, tom is 29, and thomas is 31.

Basically which sub-unit of the family would he be most loyal to if push came to shove and the family split? Matthew or some other in-law he respected, as long as the daughter he married is with him? Mary above all? Lord Grantham above all? A member of the family who'd be sent 'in exile' so to say, if he didn't approve of said exile and the family member needed someone to organize the house/train the servants in that new household? What if he did approve of their exile but still felt a sense of duty to them?

with the past month spent negotiating the division of a spoon collection between two stuffy nobles, robin begins to wonder why she had ever pursued a career in law. yet ever since sir scanwell started recommending her work to his circle of lords, robin’s desk had become flooded with paperwork for the aristocracy. though it doubtlessly keeps food on her plate, it also creates a different sort of hunger -- a yearning to work with people rather than peacocks.
so when a shepherdess comes to the tavern begging for help with her son’s trial, robin carves out the rest of her week to study the case. luckily, it’s nothing more than an incident of petty theft: her son jacob had merely stolen a letter opener to buy milk for his baby sister. unluckily, lord haxby is requesting every brutish punishment in the book. he had demanded that the judge imprison jacob for ten years, stating it was crucial for wringing out the “criminal tendencies” in the fourteen year old. he and his lawyer were attempting to sway the judge further by insisting the letter opener was a priceless heirloom as well, impossible of being recovered.
robin wastes no time in testing that accusation, retracing jacob’s steps in order to retrieve the letter opener. though purchasing it from a greedy seamstress nearly costs robin all her earnings from the last few cases -- setting back her dream of opening her own office -- it’s worth it to abet the case. with haxby’s emotional claims refuted, robin sets forth on her negotiations with the judge. eventually ( after robin privately reminds the judge of her help in his daughter’s own appeal ), they settle on jacob having to sweep the streets for the rest of the season, and pay haxby a small fee for the “sentimental” debt. while it’s far from a perfect victory, robin is mostly satisfied if it keeps jacob out of the cells and out of the stocks.
jacob returns home to his mother and sister afterwards, and robin returns to the mountain of work still awaiting her. she eats dinner at the inn as always, one hand holding the fork while the other scribbles notes furiously in her books. on her way back to her room, she nearly collides with vivian, the lodger next door. vivian immediately catches one of robin’s falling books, deftly returning the tome to her tower while robin offers embarrassed gratitude. although they had never spoken in length, vivian’s been nothing but mysteriously lovely, always a pleasant face to catch in the dining hall.
robin continues upstairs to her room, but just as she arrives in front of the door, she hears a clamoring down the hall. to her surprise, lord haxby had followed her to the inn -- drunk by the look and smell of him. infuriated that this common lawyer would challenge him and deprive him of seeing jacob publicly flogged, he starts shouting curses at her, demanding she remember her place. “your lot owes everything to mine, after all,” he scoffs, tossing his empty flagon at her feet. “where would you mongrels be without our money?”
❝ you’re drunk, sir, ❞ robin asserts with as much dignity as she can rally despite the nerves, stepping back as he approaches. she supposes worst comes to worst, she at least has an arm full of hardback ammunition at her disposal -- but she’d prefer her books weren’t used for violence. ❝ you should go home; be with your family. ❞ ( although honestly, she’d pity them for dealing with haxby in this state. ) he ignores her pleas, gaze narrowing as he edges closer.

Thus, abnormally overactive WM may support hallucinations that occur in the absence of real sensory input. Auditory hallucinations are mediated by D2R activation, which also improves WM ( Tarantino, Sharp, Geyer, Meves, & Young, 2011). WM enables us to hold the contents of our conscious awareness, even in the absence of real sensory input, by maintaining an active representation of information for a brief period ( Courtney, Petit, Haxby, & Ungerleider, 1998). Therefore, any impairment in the water-finding test may provide a clue for delusional information processing in mouse models. Hallucinogenic drugs such as METH and PCP induce impairments of latent learning, WM, and PPI in mouse models of schizophrenia in relation with DA hypothesis ( Mouri et al., 2007 Nabeshima et al., 2006 Nabeshima et al., 1994). The learning of causal relationships between unrelated events is seen as the impairment of associative learning and associated with the delusion in schizophrenia ( Jardri & Deneve, 2013). The latent learning is an associate learning which is essential for correctly matching the prior beliefs with the novel observations and understand causal relationships between related events. This test examines the capability of a mouse to associate a provided clue (the location, which is briefly explored in the training session) with the desired object (the water, in a test session after 24 h). The water-finding test is used to evaluate WM as well as latent learning ( Nabeshima et al., 1994). The Y-maze test is widely used for the evaluation of WM (or short-term memory) and requires immediate sequential association of movements and different visual stimuli ( Nabeshima et al., 1994 Yamada et al., 1996).
