The best piece of advice I ever got was not meant as advice, but as an edict. If I was going to threaten people as a joke, it had to be so far out of proportion with what happened that it would be obvious I was joking. This changed how I expressed frustration with others. It then changed how I expressed frustration with myself.
Not “I’m going to hit you” but “I am going to buy a tuna sub from the gas station and hide it under the seat of your car”
Not “I’m going to kill myself” but “I am going to walk into the desert and let the scarabs take me”
The other side then happened. When I mess something up, instead of saying it’s bad and perpetuating negative thoughts, swing hard the other way.
Not “this art is terrible” but “this shall be framed and mounted on the wall in my museum exhibition as testament to the suffering I had to overcome”
Have been doing this since high school. It was my drama teacher who asked me to please stop scaring the actors. The other half of the edict was that I had to say it in a polite tone, and end it with either please or thank you.
Life changing. 10/10 Mr Muëller. Highly reccomend.

Getting unreasonnably invested in whatever the heck is going on in Miceland Politics, aka how succession laws work in all the Mickey Mouse movies.
The Prince and the Pauper (1990): The king becomes ill, so the captain of the guard (unrelated to the royal family, Peg Leg Pete) becomes regent despite the prince being old enough to be crowned immediately when the king dies.
Mickey, Donald and Goofy: The Three Musketeers (2004): the monarch is an unmarried, childless woman yet is apparently not queen of her own right as she is "Princess" Minnie, however she does have the full political powers coming with being queen, she has her own throne and crown, and she has the power to abdicate, meaning she's not like the crown princess or something but a full-fledged sovereign. She has the power to abdicate not to the benefit of whoever's next in line, but of whoever she chooses, including a captain of the guard unrelated to the royal family. a priori no one helps her deal with state affairs except her lady in waiting and no one would have bat an eye if a beagle boy in drags with prosthetic mouse ears had abdicated in her name to the benefit of said royal guard.
HOW and WHAT and WHY does the royal succession works exactly and why is Pete always chosen as a somewhat trusted right hand man.

Suddenly struck by the need for a story about a Victorian lady naturalist who studies those cutesy Victorian flower fairies, but like, as a completely dead-serious scientific endeavor--just because they're adorable and feminine and impossibly twee doesn't mean they're not a vital component of the ecosystem, Bob.

obsessed with the idea of reality tv in star wars...imagine there being a Real Huttwives of Tatooine show. the jedi order has to fend off constant requests to have a jedi appear on the Bachelor. Fancasts always include Obi-Wan and Kit Fisto. Anakin religiously keeps up with 36 different shows. Ahsoka once signs him up for the bachelorette as a joke, except it works, and then an unsuspecting Anakin has to field a Call from Padme about what her husband is up to. Space twitter has never been so disappointed when casting announcement is hastily retracted. Obi-Wan goes on the Great Coruscanti Baking Show once for charity but the episode never airs for reasons that are never explained. It becomes the holonet's white whale. Love Island except it's all wookies. Naked and Afraid but it's all shaved wookies. the possibilities are endless and i believe with enough effort and funding we as the sw fandom can explore each and every one
