I know we just talked and we're going to talk again and you probably know what I'm going to say already but I need to say it anyhow. You know I love your writing. The depth, the intricacy with which you craft words into something so evocative and vivid but in a way that appears effortless to the reader, it's a gift you've always possessed and one you've honed to an art on Killian. But since creating this blog, you've proven that it's not just a fluke, that lightning really *can* strike twice, and it's been nothing short of amazing watching you develop Lucas into something that is both true to canon and also utterly *yours* in a way that no one else could ever duplicate no matter how hard they may try. You are a gift - to tumblr, to the world, but mostly to me. I love you more than even the most eloquent words can say, and I am perpetually awed by you and the talent that seems to simply flow from your fingertips. You are my love, my soul mate, and the greatest inspiration that I could dream of. Thank you for being in my life, for being the most incredible writing partner imaginable, and for being mine. I love you.

first of all, I want to post a disclaimer (since you said we just talked) saying that you are not the 17 minute phone conversation person that i said goodbye to 6 times before finally hanging up. anyways, now that that's out of the way ..

You told me not to uno reverse this and to just post it and let it be mine, but I don't know how to not take advantage of this opportunity to tell you just how much this means to me but also how every praise you have given me is something I've learned from you. From the day we met on Hook and Guy you've always been my biggest supporter and fan and also my greatest mentor and coach in the art of writing. God, I think about the hours we've spent writing both on here and off. The hours we've talked, discussed, combed through every second of a muse's canon and (I wish i was kidding) even in some instances had like 32 tabs of research open for something that should have been a stupidly simple crack verse. The times we've done kik or wire, the times we've scrapped blogs or abandoned them because they just weren't fitting ... I've grown so much as a writer over the last almost 9 years and I owe that to you. I am constantly stretched to match you, always inspired by you and I have learned so much about characterization and depth and world building from you. I always say that I know a muse is gonna stick when they exist for one of yours and that usually stands true .. but Lucas has truly done what a muse of mine hasn't done since i first made hook. I saw a gifset and I've been hemming and hawing for like two years and I'm so glad you were like please just do the thing.

You are my inspiration, the love of my life, the person who I trust to be devastatingly honest with me. Thank you for all of the times we've watched various hook things, the hours you've spent watching me annotate peter pan and listening to me compare it to other media. Thank you for listening to me now talk about william blake and kafka and milton's paradise lost and all of the ways I think they relate to lucas and how i plan on reflecting it in my writing. Thank you for being one of the best fucking writers I've ever come across in my life. You are my favorite author and you always will be. You've taught me how to take things off a simple document on tumblr, how to make the words paint a story and a picture that isnt just a retelling, to create something that's a glimpse of life. You've taught me to channel my hurts and my demons and my triumphs and bottle them up until i can release them across a page. I'm so blessed and grateful to have a partner who takes writing as seriously as I do, who knows that despite the fact that it's just roleplay, I use it to push myself to be better and to write further than I did the day before. We both do. Thank you for recently teaching me that its ok to just write about bread lmao.

I fell in love with your writing before I ever saw or met you on tumblr. I saw these words on a page, read them.. and my heart just let out a sigh. Oh. There you are. Anyways this is super long now and I don't even know if I've said everything I wanted to say but .. thank you. For everything. Always. Thank you for not sighing when I said I made a lucas north blog so that he could ship with aurora and be guy's clone in an effort to explore nature vs nurture. Not once were you like "can we please just do the spiderman meme plot where they stare at one another and say dude!! you have my face!! because its easier?". You just went with it and I've wrangled you in and you've layered it deeper so it's gonna be so intense now. I love you so much. Thank you for supporting me over here. Killian is never going to go anywhere. I'm stuck with him forever. Sometimes I catch myself writing a reply here while I'm zoned out and I see something about his one hand and an Irish accent and I'm like ... wait his what now?? Thanks for reading a ridiculous number of books with me. Thanks for being you. Thanks for being the love of my life and my best friend. Thanks for showing me twenty three year old me that I wasn't alone. And for reminding me even now when I try to forget. I love you so much. Like this one. Antonoff has said before that the title phrase is more metaphorical than literal, like an idiom that means don’t take the easy way and give this up, because it’s genuine. Real “I want to have a sleepover with you” vibes.

This is a canon dair song bc @mysteriesofloves titled a fic after this song, them’s the rules. But for real, this is such a good one. The lyrics are intentionally scattered, a little bewildered, like “how did we get here? how did this happen? who found whom?” and finally “who cares? we found a home in each other.”

Cleopatra in Brooklyn - Frank Turner

Chosen for the title obviously, but the lyrics capture the royal/5b arc pretty well, I think. The narrator carries this tongue-and-cheek comparison of the woman he’s singing to to Cleopatra through the whole song, comparing himself to Marc Antony, and ending with this really earnest kind of declaration. I’m obsessed with this songwriter he’s a genius please give him a listen.

The original is by Empire of the Sun (and omigod I just realized the coincidence), but I first heard it covered by McMahon, and he’s one of my favorite musicians of ever so I just love his rendition. And this song is sort of like...about finally deciding that the reality of love with someone is so much better than the idea of it.

A friend in undergrad got me into the Civil Wars by showing me their live videos, and they have such incredible musical chemistry - like, the synchronicity of their ensemble is so good that it even comes through on their studio recordings and it makes these simple lyrics hit SO HARD.

hi friends! this year had its highs and lows and i’m ready to let go of it, but i won’t let go of the beautiful people i met on here in the past months, and those i already knew and who keep bringing joy onto my dash! i got into a new fandom that brought me many joys and new beautiful people into my life and i couldn’t be happier about that! you’re all cool so here’s my humble thank you to you ♡

2020 content creator review

i was tagged by @vishcount as usual, thank you 💕 i answered the questions below the cut, and everyone that is tagged is there too, if you just wanna skip my ramblings and go straight down there. (also gosh i hope all the links work rip)

1. first creation and most recent creation of 2020:

this lan wangji oneshot, apparently. i can’t remember when i actually wrote it, but my ao3 tells me i posted it in january 2020. i remember i just wanted to explore lwj’s time of mourning and dive into his mind of that time, even if it made me eternally sad?

my most recent 2020 creation that is public, is the second chapter to this casmund/edmund character study fic i started writing in 2016. i did not expect to return to that but rewatching the narnia movies did that to me. i guess it’s one of those ever-returning fandoms

2. one of your favorite creations from 2020:

my niemo (nie huaisang/mo xuanyu) fic, no question. diving into this, i fully knew that this pairing probably has a tiny audience and honestly, i did not expect to churn out 30k for them. god. am still suffering because why the fuck did i do that to myself (and everyone reading). thank you vishie for standing by me all the time.

3. a new style you tried this year and a gifset edit that uses it:

my historical taegi AU set in silla korea - i don’t think it’s actually a new style writing-wise, but it was an entirely different process of creating. i did a week of only research, diving into amounts of academic texts and sources to figure out my frame and setting. it was so much fun and in the end, with everything i learned, it felt like the fic was only just the ‘by-product’ of my research. though i must say, writing the story itself was challenging in a very different way, by that i mean that the characters made me furious and yet i had to write it like that cause i like to suffer :)

as for gifset, am not sure? i can’t think of any so i am just linking the daechwita mv cause it’s iconic. i guess this mv is more joseon inspired, while my setting was silla somewhere between the end of 7th and beginning of 8th century; but it was the final straw to finally make me write that historical taegi au i always wanted to write with hwarang tae. also this mv inspired me to have yoongi as a tyrannical king cause why not amirite?

4. a creation to be proud of:

my wei wuxian oneshot during burial mounds; i had a lot of fun writing him and projecting all my nightmares onto him. i went in without a plan and ended up with something i am actually quite proud of? it gave me so much space and room to just...pour out my words and not worry too much about anything else.

5. a creation that took forever:

my post-canon wangxian adventure or qinghe chaos, as i lovingly call it. i think i started writing it in november 2019? not entirely sure about that, i only know it took ages. i wanted to create a whole new political environment, as it takes place somewhere around 70 years after canon (they wanna be immortal, shut up) and it was fun thinking of new challenges and new obstacles that face the new generation of cultivators. unfortunately i did not have the capacity to write a full blown political conflict. that’s why i never really incorporated all my thoughts into the story itself, but hey, if anyone has questions i have notes (and vishie, once again, is the most blessed person to plot with me, ily)

6. your creation from 2020 that received the most notes:

am gonna measure this by kudos on ao3 in that case, which would be the aforementioned lwj oneshot Cold Moon, Long Nights Moon. I feel incredibly fond of it and i’m really happy that people liked it. it feels special somehow and i just want to thank everyone who read that and liked it.

7. a creation you think deserved more notes:

oh i wrote many fics that year for smaller fandoms, which makes me grateful for every single feedback i received. i think i had hoped my previously mentioned historical AU would receive more, but it’s okay because i still loved it.

another one is this princess sook myung/ah roh fic that i wrote for my ‘make hwarang gay again’ series. i finally finished this show and it furstrated me so much - the gay potential that went to waste, the horrendous writing for female characters. i liked the chemistry between ah roh and the princess, and yes i get it, it’s a rare pair and this fandom is kinda dead, but. the girls deserve their shine and love (though still, i am grateful for every single kudos i receive and i am still proud of it)

8. a new fandom you joined and a creation you made for it:

i joined many new fandoms this year for which i wrote, but i want to mention my shang xirui character study for winter begonia, because it was very interesting to explore that? and i had fun too, it was one of the first things i properly wrote after my hiatus, so i felt quite proud. also once again, this fandom has way too little content and the show is underrated.

9. a creation you made that breaks your heart:

i wanna mention two here. first is this wen ning & song lan oneshot that was a pure joy and also very sad to write. i just love these two so much, and i love them together even more. i have many thoughts how much comfort they could give each other and believe me, i have many more that i want to explore in the future.

the second one is the mu nihuang & xiao jingyan oneshot i wrote for the nirvana in fire gift exchange 2020. it broke my heart, but at the same time it felt like something was healing too? it hurt at the pain both characters go through, but i also felt fond that maybe, they were not alone.

10. a ‘simple’ creation that you really love:

hmm there are a few, i mostly want to mention my fei liu character study? it has no plot or anything, it is just an exploration of his mind and thoughts, which was an absolute joy to write and somehow so easy.

i also quite like the yyy series i started - maybe i can write more for these two because they somehow give me the feels.

11. a favorite creation created by someone else:

alright here we go folks:

first i want to mention my dearest @vishcount because newsflash!!! i am the biggest fan. of course i need to mention your wondeful, stunning, breathtaking masterpiece that is your xicheng novel (and yes it is a novel, i say so). it is still ongoing and you started it in 2019, but i need to mention it here because it truly is something that is lifechanging. i feel so blessed that i get the front seats and vip access to all the updates, to all your thoughts and ideas. you go through a lot with it and i am never not proud of you ❤️ another one i want to mention is this wei wuxian & mo xuanyu oneshot you wrote for me because i am still crying about it. i have no words. honourable mentions: your easter islanders (lan wangji and jiang cheng) and this xicheng soulmate au

another creator i want to mention is @the-cloud-whisperer and their nirvana in fire fic Heroic Woman（烈婦） , which is absolutely wonderful. i found you through your ATLA fics (which i adore) and saw you posting about nirvana in fire and this year, finally, i watched the show and was blown away. i love your other NIF fics too, but this one feels very special because i always thought li yang’s character was so incredibly fascinating. thank you for writing this 💕

ah, i was wondering if tumblr ate my ask abt s2, lol. glad u saw it in the end! since u asked, GOD i have feelings abt the finale. i watched it on my phone whilst at work yday bc i just couldnt wait until i got home. although there are a few things i had issue with, the good parts outweighed them for me and i just loved it so much!!!! two of my favourite things: bun showing affection to tan (the hug after the commander was arrested + his romantic line in the last scene) made my day bc we know he's stupid and in love but having him display it like that is just lovely; and the absolute euphoria of watching the m/oat scene - IT WAS SO CUTE? i mean i wish m quit being a cop but still. i'm happy for them. also as soon as tan turned up with that box i just KNEW he was pulling some dramatic gay shit and Boy. fjskcjkdf I LOVE HIM HE IS SO FUCKING STUPID AND HE LOVES BUN SO MUCH. literally tan has become one of my fav characters of all time and i'm so surprised considering mod is relatively short. i wish we had more time with them but what we got was lovely and enough for them to worm their way into my heart permanently. i'm rly gonna miss mod and maxtul as well, but i know they'll continue being idiots with each other in the future even if they don't work tgt again bc their friendship is so strong. it's at least comforting to know that. thank u for letting me rant with u each week, it's honestly been a pleasure. i'm excited for ur voted gifsets!!! hope all the content creators in this fandom don't leave so soon 😭 i'll still need my fix for a while to come. - 🐢

i think tan just spoke to a lot of us because he’s so crazy and loud with his love from day one; like yeah he might be shady and yeah he has his secreta but he’s so genuine and unashamed with his interest in bunn from day one it’s truly refreshing to see in a character like that (especially since it never once is referenced as a problem). i love them both deeply but yeah i agree; tan truly is something else!

for the rest of forever

I’m sappy today and wanted to write weddings, thanks to this show and gifset. SO, here’s a Jinyi wedding for @this-solaris-life. Set in a historical-esque au in a Song-inspired Imperial China.

He’d known since he was thirteen that he’d be marrying one Lan Jingyi. Ever since the day he’d pleaded with his mother to break his engagement to a girl, because he’d seen a boy stand up for another in the fields and proclaim, loudly, that any bullies had to go through him and had felt that moment go right to his heart, it’d always been Lan Jingyi, the very boy who’d taken a punch from a bully and given one back, muddy faced and utterly grinning. He still wasn’t sure how he’d gotten so lucky with such understanding parents, or with a matchmaker who’d tracked Jingyi’s family down with their courtship offer, but he was lucky, so lucky, and he’d long ago stopped wondering how.

Especially on this day of all days, auspicious with sunlight and a sweet smelling breeze. With his home draped in reds and a gown to match, his family laughing outside the door as they tested Jingyi’s mettle with too hot soup, swordsmanship displays, and very loud, gushy poetry that made his cheeks flame to hear. With laughter outside and cheering, with Sizhui at the door biting his lip in good humor, and Zizhen at his side, smoothing down his hair.

This day of all days, where he was not an Imperial Guard, not a soldier or son of a powerful family. He was just Jin Ling, a grumpy, yet glowing bride, and a man in love.

“I think Lady Jiang is making him hop on one foot now,” Sizhui laughed just as Jingyi’s voice rose again, breathless around what had to be the sappiest love poem Jin Ling had ever heard.

Zizhen snickered and adjusted the hem of Jin Ling’s robe, where it was currently hiding one of his wedding shoes. Jin Ling’s idea, that. “Probably for the best. The only good way to stomach your Xian-ba’s soup is by sweating it out through physical exertion.”

Sizhui nodded in amused sympathy. “Shu-shu said it was so hot it could melt steel,” he said, wincing. “I hope hopping and talking is helping him, not making it worse.”

“It’d better be helping,” Jin Ling huffed, impatient. He hated this bride business for all the waiting. Waiting for Jingyi to cross from his home to Jin Ling’s, waiting for Jingyi to get through his crazy family’s games. Waiting so many years for this day, only to wait more. It was infuriating. “If you lot make me a widow before he even gets in here I’ll break all your legs.”

“Yes Mistress Jin,” Zizhen huffed right back, far too used to his moods to be properly threatened. Unfair. “He’ll make it. He loves you, after all. So he’ll make it.”

Jin Ling blushed to his toes, but merely scowled in response, not that his traitorous friend and cousin cared. Sizhui, thankfully, went back to listening at the door, and lit up just a new round of cheers sounded outside. “He’s coming now. Get ready!”

“Oh, we’re ready,” Zizhen laughed and tossed the veil over Jin Ling’s head, letting it drape just so over his hair and shoulders. Jin Ling immediately hated the way it obscured his vision and told him so, but the damned veil was not moved. “Patience, A-Ling. You’ll appreciate this, i promise.”

“I’m still stuffing it down your throat later,” he complained, squinting hard to see through all the red, and could make out the shadowy shape of the door, as well as the gleaming white robes Shizui was wearing. “Let him in. I’m done with waiting.”

“Not even going to wait for a bribe?” Zizhen gushed, sounding ready to float away. “How romantic you are, A-Ling. I had no idea.”

“Did I say later? I think I’ll stuff this down your throat right now.”

“A-Ling.” Sizhui this time, in his gentlest voice, which always made Jin Ling pause and calm, if begrudgingly. “They’re getting the paper money ready, it’ll be under the door soon. Just a little more patience.”

Jin Ling bit his tongue and couldn’t stop the singing of his heart when Jingyi called for entrance from the opposite side. Sizhui and Zizhen teased him, per tradition, until the packet of money passed to them, then finally, finally, the door opened and footsteps moved towards him.

He could not see Jingyi’s face, or any part of him, but the smell of his favorite incense clinging to his robes had Jin Ling grinning and a tremble shooting down his spine. He heard Jingyi’s breath hitch and felt his own heart jump, even before two hands gripped the end of the veil and lifted.

There were few things in Jin Ling’s life he remembered with utmost clarity. The sight of Jingyi in wedding red and gold, awe plain in his face and dark eyes wide with love… he would never forget it, he was sure, for the rest of his days, even if he wanted to die from embarrassment.

“Jin Ling,” Jingyi’s voice was hushed and hoarse and that too went right to his heart, making it skip in place.

“Stop staring and find my shoes,” Jin Ling huffed, cheeks aflame under such an intense stare. He was a soldier, for Gods’ sake, a warrior. To be reduced to a true blushing bride…

Jingyi chuckled at that command, that same wild grin flashing over his face, and he obediently started searching the room. “My Mistress Jin, are you so ready to be mine?”

“Maybe,” Jin Ling gave him the sass right back, and stuck his chin in the air in full challenge. “Depends on how stupid you look climbing the bookshelf.”

“Sizhui’s idea, I take it,” Jingyi sighed as he reached for the barely visible toe of red at the top of the upmost shelf, but even with a jump only managed to bump it back out of sight. Jin Ling laughed in victory as Jingyi was indeed forced to climb the bookcase to retrieve it.

“Sizhui’s idea, Zizhen’s placement,” Jin Ling said and stuck his foot out at him expectantly. Jingyi sighed, but his smile was all fondness when he slipped the shoe on.

The second shoe, like a well hidden treasure, took much longer, and Jin Ling laughed the whole way through. Given the shoe was between his thighs, Jingyi got his revenge with a quick pinch, but even that was not enough to dull his mirth. Jingyi barely managed to get the second shoe on before Jin Ling was pulling him into a quick, secret kiss, grinning wide against his mouth.

“We haven’t even gotten to the vows yet,” Jingyi admonished, but there was nothing but laughter and love in his voice.

“I don’t care,” Jin Ling huffed, because he didn’t, and stole one kiss more. “I’m tired of waiting. You’re here and you’re mine. I can kiss you now whenever I like and no one, not even you, will stop me.”

That had Jingyi blushing, laughing, and smiling that toothy grin that had captured Jin Ling so completely, so many years ago. And as Jingyi turned and knelt before him so Jin Ling could be carried on his back to the waiting carriage, Jin Ling knew it was forever. This laughter, this trouble they could and would make together.

Because today was his wedding day, the start of the rest of his life, and he had never been so blessed. And he had the rest of his life to make sure Jingyi felt it too.

Top 50 NaLu Anime Moments {Pt 2}.

Read pt 1 here.

Without any further delay, let’s get back to my top 50 anime nalu moments, and today we cover moments 40 up till 31! This part of the list is probably the most fluffy one, as it’s about to get kinda angsty from the next part on, but hey, let us enjoy our small moment of happiness.

40. Lucy's naked bell roll with Natsu. (Ep 194).

And we starting off kinda kinky, but hey, it’s a form of love, lol. Anyways, I truly love this moment because it was one of the first where you could start seeing that Natsu was actually attracted to Lucy. The anime didn’t include it (idk why) but in the manga he gets all blushy after having his face and hands rubbed in every single inch of naked Lucy, and I loved seeing how he reacted to it. And the first official boob grope (!!!) that results in Natsu getting slapped, which he deserved, lol. While not the only one, this is probably the most fanservice NaLu moment you’re gonna get on this list, so don’t worry, I didn’t include all the boob/@ss gropping scenes, I just really love this one especially.

39. “If any of you bastards hurt Lucy, I will turn all of you to dust.” (Ep 83).

Okay, but listen! As... as an honorary Natsu fan, I love when he gets all serious and goes all out on his enemies, and this scene, esp for someone who was slowly losing hope on this ship, really fired me up! It’s moments like this one where you can see how Natsu really cares for Lucy, at the point of injuring himself in the process. And the line, I love that line so much! I often use it in gifsets I make because I adore how protective he is of Lucy, even now that she’s able to fully defend herself, he still... wow. At last, I like this scene because it showcases how close they are and how much Lucy means to Natsu; ofc he’d be upset if any of his other friends got hurt, but y’all know he’s especially protective of Lucy and has been for a while, even back when the ship was only platonic, and there is a reason for it.

38. “Someone give us hope.” (Ep 119).

As I’ve commented on this moment before, I don’t have anything much different to add this time, only that it gets to my heart how much trust these two have in each other, and how much they inspire each other. I chose this moment because it’s one of the most obvious to how Natsu and Lucy’s relationship works: they give each other strength. When one is feeling down or hopeless, the other will step up and stand by their side. It’s a beautiful cycle between them. Zeref commented once that Lucy was a cheerful person, who had a huge impact on Natsu’s growth, and he ain’t wrong about that. This moment is proof of it.

37. “Let’s reform our team.” (Ep 109).

Or in Kain’s words, Natsu and Lucy getting all “flirty and hot”. God, I love Tenrou Island arc. Not only it’s what turned me into a hardcore nalu shipper, but it’s also great storytelling, and very compelling fights. The choice to combine Natsu and Happy with Lucy vs Kain and Ultear was a great one, considering they’d been kinda distant from each other since Edolas and had not really interacted much, and even during arcs like Oracion Seis and Edolas, which had been successors of the Fantasia and Tower of Heaven arcs, which barely had any Nalu in it, it felt like a breath of fresh air to see them together again and staying together, like the team they’d been since the beginning. It also showed how in sync they are with each other and how well they work together. Truly one of the things that made Tenrou Island such a great arc.

36. “Lucy, come home already.” (OVA 4).

Words cannot describe how much I cherish this omake, or in this case, the ova, where Lucy follows Natsu to find out where he and Happy live. For those of you who have not watched it, it’s set in a flashback where Lucy tells the girls about the day she followed her two lousy friends to get revenge on them for always breaking in her house; she successfully finds their house, and there she finds out Natsu keeps memories of all the jobs he’d gone to, two of which include the first job he and Lucy ever went in together and her old maid outfit, which brings a sweet smile to her face. Despite finding their house, Lucy’s plan to surprise them fails because they never show up, so she goes back to her apartment. And, surprise surprise, that’s where Natsu and Happy had been all this time. And we’re left with the heartwarming conclusion that, although they annoy the fck outta her, eat all her food, mess up her stuff, and hog her bed all to themselves, Lucy loves having them around. They turn her house into a home, they give her someone to come home to, they give her all the company she never had when she was a child. ‘Twas a very nice conclusion to the story, and served as a nice confirmation to something we’d always suspected.

35. Watch Out for the Guy You Like! (Ep 50).

This, in my opinion, is one of the most hilarious FT episodes; even though it results with Lucy finding out all her delusions of Natsu were, well, just delusions, and Natsu just wanted her help to dig a hole, I have so much fun watching those delusions, watching Lucy stop for a moment to actually consider being with Natsu; I think it’s what opened the door to her crush, even if she completely closed her eyes and tried to ignore it. Also, shoujo-like Natsu was a blessing given to us by Mashima which I’m forever grateful for, lmao. But really, I think this omake/episode is actually very important to Natsu and Lucy’s relationship; it showed that all her delusions depicted Lucy’s idea of how a romance should be, and then (spoiler) in the end, she kind of gets that romance, but not in the way she imagined, and it turned out to be exactly the way it needed to be. So, for that, I really like this and find it essential to the ship.

34. Their reunion. (Ep 276).

This moment, originally, was not part of my top 25 Nalu manga moments, and that’s because, while I do love it in the manga, I love it so much more in the anime. It felt more dramatic, with the camera shifting from Natsu and Lucy finally locking eyes after one year apart, and they’re both so goddamn shook! I like that they added this detail in the anime, because you could really feel like it was two people who used to always be together, and then spent 365 days without seeing each other, being only there ever in thought. I also like how they’re both blushing, that little showcase of how happy they are to see the other again, and the small tingle of bittersweetness because we know it’s not 100% okay between them. You know drama’s gonna follow because actions have consequences. But for that one moment, you’re just as happy as Natsu and Lucy to see them reunited once more, the way it’s supposed to be.

33. Lucy makes her choice. (Ep 49).

While I feel that this one goes without saying, the reason I chose it can be explained in two sentences: 1) Lucy has met a guy who’s like the male version of her, is kind, a gentleman, and has a nice vibe with her, but she puts all of that potential aside for the one thing she is sure of, and that’s her partnership with Natsu. 2) Have you seen Natsu’s face when she shows up in that train, ready to leave with them? He’s so shook, he blinks like three times, as if trying to make sure she is really there, that she’s real. And then he just opens the biggest smile, because she chose to be there with them; it’s the first time they’re not dragging her to a job, she simply chose to come along, and you can almost hear the sound of Natsu’s heart going all fluttery when he realizes she cast her ‘date’ aside to go with them. Another moment that, I feel, helped deepen and shape the relationship these two have today.

32. “Make me purr!” Drunk Lucy round 2. (OVA 9).

Again, nothing really different to add on this moment, only that I like how the ova extended and showed Lucy jumping on Natsu in the most s&xual way ever, and how Natsu has all the strength in the world to remove her from him, but “supposedly” is unable to do that when she’s all over him touching him in a very intimate way. Aham. I see right through you, dragon boy. Also, isn’t it interesting that Drunk!Lucy directs all her attention to Natsu if he’s around? Nvm that there’s other guys around, all she cares about is him. I love that. It says a lot about Lucy’s hidden feelings.

31. Reaching out for each other before being separated. (Ep 247).

Tartaros is my favorite FT arc, despite not having that much Nalu in it, it’s probably the arc with most emotional weight, because of everything the characters went through and makes you really feel for them. And although I love the ships, I love the story 1st and Tartaros was indeed amazing story-telling. With that said, I also enjoyed very much the little/subtle/few Nalu moments the arc provided, and one of them is the scene where Natsu and Lucy are being pulled in by the Alegria, and they reach for each other. It’s commonly said that when things get tough, you focus on what’s important to you, and it was very sweet/heartbreaking to watch Lucy and Natsu struggling to get to each other, as they were both unaware of what was going to happen, they were just trying to stay together. You can easily say it’s only because they were alone together, but hello, Mashima did not need to make it like this. It was his choice to make Natsu and Lucy reach out for each other in a way that’s mostly seen between couples, esp in shõnen, and the anime made it even more beautiful.

As ever, in thinking about this, I’ve just made myself furious again that this objectively fucking stupid children’s TV show remains one of the most emotionally and erotically resonant pieces of media I’ve had the misfortune to consume.

1. what is your most popular fic by kudos? comments? bookmarks? are they all the same?

my most popular fic by all marks is We Can Have All That We Ever Want, my first poly rangers fic and the month where I wrote about 15k in like 3 weeks. even though the verse hasn’t been updated since may, it’s still getting a lot of kudos.

this fic has 719 kudos, 103 comments, and 122 bookmarks and it has been read 10,290 times.

it’s all insane

2. do you have a favorite of your fics? if not, do you have one you’re most proud of? why?

I’m most proud of my Stydia Big Bang fic, it’s a world war ii au that’s 20k words long called Love in a Warzone.

I researched a lot for this fic and really got in the zone writing it and seeing people have such great reactions makes my day.

3. what fandom/ship (if you write for more than one) is your favorite to write for?

I really enjoy writing for the Poly Rangers ship, I feel like I’ve carved out a tiny niche within the Power Rangers fandom. But at the same time, I absolutely love writing Bellarke fic because they’re my babes and I love them so much.

4. do you have any fics that got more popularity/attention than you expected? if so what were they?

I was shocked at how popular my angsty supercorp fic was, We’re Not Lovers, and also my post finale Olicity spec fanfic was, I don’t think anyone could ever love you (the way I love you)

I wrote them both on the same day, the day I wrote 5k words in like 11 hours.

5. where do you get your ideas/inspiration from? do you have a fic that you feel is particularly unique in that area?

mainly from my desire to see the fic and realizing I have to write it myself. A lot of it stems from headcanons and needing to write missing moments or first kisses, I have a surprising amount of first kiss fanfics.

I think my most unique idea is my Ambassadors of Earth verse, which is where the entire universe thinks all the rangers are dating. I keep coming back and adding lines to my word doc at points because I always have ideas. Also the reincarnation series I’m co-writing with @justiceleague2017dirzacksnyder is completely unique and literally comes from a gifset that she made. IT’S GREAT

again for some reason I get very creative because of the ot5

6. do you have a favorite character to write POV for?

I adore writing all the Rangers povs but Jason and Trini come most easily to me. Actually, the vast majority of my fics are multi-pov but I find it easiest to write Bellamy, Lydia and Trini.

7. what’s your favorite sidepairing to include?

I think I included Scalia in LOVE IN A WARZONE when I first came up with the idea last November and to almost predict canon is honestly super cool. I don’t actually include a lot of side pairings

8. do you have a fic you feel is underrated in comparison to your other fics? or you just wish more people would read?

LOVE IN A WARZONE, it’s a 20k, world war ii, character centric au that has been read by so few people. I think it’s completely underrated and I wish people read more of it.

also Fates’s Rewrite, a modern dectective bellarke au with some reincarnation mixed, it’s one that I stopped writing, not because I don’t have ideas but there was literally no feedback at all and I don’t have the desire to write it when no one’s reading it. It’s probably my most fascinating idea but I just haven’t had any spark at all

9. what’s something you would go back and change in one of your fics?

god, I always want to go back and do another round of editing. but it’s more I want to add things. I’d add more Bellamy and Clarke stuff to Fates’s Rewrite, right not it’s just a lot of the Greek Gods and that’s less important.

10. what is your favorite sort of comment to receive on a fic?

“Holy shit, I fucking love how you're writing this, what you're including, and the time you're taking to create honest, vivid introspection for EACH GODDAMN BEAUTIFUL CHARACTER. Bless bless you. I'm avidly looking forward to the next chapter and where you will take this after all the "intros" are done!! (Or maybe I'm assuming too much, I love this fic regardless).” this comment on We Can Have All That We Ever Want is my favorite comment, sometimes I just go find this comment and grin like a loon and feel better about my writing. That fic also has some of the greatest comments I’ve ever received and sometimes I just go and read all the comments and want to write fic again. like now

fluff with angst is my sweet spot but I also really love missing moments

I get the idea and it usually just sticks itself in my head for hours, nagging at me. Eventually I write it down and depending on how my muse is, I write it all in one go or it happens over months with a random burst of inspiration here and there.

drabble collections, a lot of oneshots but I also do write a decent amount of multi-chapter fanfic, especially in my drafts

Hey would you ever consider writing Bonnie x Caroline smut? 'Cause you're reallyyyy good at it and the fandom really lacks on those. I know they're a improbable pair, but after reading through the ones available i started shipping Baroline more than i ever thought I could!! Sorry if its too random

So I reblogged this fucking amazing baroline gifset a few days ago by @stefensalvatore and I saw the way Caroline was looking at Bonnie and suddenly felt inspired to write some femmeslash. This is like 2.5k words (???) and it has zero readover because I’m hungry and it’s a college AU and I AM NOT SORRY.

I only have two other femmeslash prompts (one Katholine and one Rebekoline), so if you want to send some in I might write them, but no promises!! Anyway, hope you enjoy

The humid September air was pressing against Caroline’s lungs, sweat running down her forehead, and her breathing was ragged by the time the team finally set their boat down where it was supposed to be stored. Her arms were exhausted from rowing, and she was ready to get a cold drink and plop face down into her bed. The rest of the crew team seemed about as ready to collapse as she was, and the only one who didn’t look like she wanted to die was Bonnie, their coxswain, who turned around with a huge smile on her face. “Good practice, guys! You’re already almost there and we’ve only been back a few weeks,” she said encouragingly.

“I think I’m going to die,” Katherine muttered, wiping her forehead with the back of her hand.

“It’ll get better as the semester goes on,” Bonnie said, chugging some of her water bottle before spraying some on her face, trying to get cool before they walked the five minutes to the locker room for showers.

Caroline couldn’t help but trace the drips of water with her eyes as they trailed down Bonnie’s neck to the collar of her t-shirt, the fabric already sticking to her skin from sweat, unconsciously licking her lips as Bonnie turned around to put the water bottle in her backpack, the wet lycra clinging to her ass in the most delicious possible way.

“You okay, Care?” Bonnie asked, glancing over her shoulder at Caroline, who tried her best to look like she hadn’t been considering what Bonnie’s legs would look like spread wide for her tongue. There was a gleam in Bonnie’s eye, a small smirk on her face, and Caroline got the feeling that she knew exactly what was running through her mind.

“Yeah. I’m fine,” Caroline said, redoing her ponytail for something to do with her hands, which were shaking from adrenaline.

“Would you mind helping me put the equipment away before we head back to the locker room?”

Caroline nearly groaned out loud. Someone had to do it, but she did not want to be that person. She hadn’t kept up with her workouts as rigorously as she should have over the summer, and she felt like she was a walking vessel of pain. Still, Bonnie was looking at her with wide, hopeful eyes, and she couldn’t find it in herself to throw Katherine under the bus.

“Okay.”

They slowly began to gather the oars and put them in the shed, and she noticed that Bonnie kept giving her glances through the corner of her eye, her gaze almost…appreciative?

They didn’t know each other very well despite being in the same class. Bonnie was tiny and had been the coxswain for her fancy-sounding boarding school’s rowing team, and she ended up being on varsity as a freshman while Caroline had only made the varsity team at the beginning of the last semester because Hayley Marshall broke her arm and they needed someone to take her place.

She’d been a lot better at subtly ogling Bonnie back then, too focused on catching up with the rest of the team to do much, but now she was up to speed and had more time to appreciate the way the uniform clung quite nicely to Bonnie’s curves. She wasn’t sure whether that was a blessing or a curse, especially since it meant the mostly innocent interest had turned into a full blown crush.

She had been fairly sure that Bonnie wasn’t interested, but it was nice to dream.

“You’ve been doing really well, Care,” Bonnie said abruptly as she set the last oars down in their case and shut the lid.

“Thanks.”

“Really. You’ve been working really hard, and it shows.”

The words were innocent, but somehow the way they fell off Bonnie’s tongue made them sound sexual, and Caroline felt a flush stain her cheeks in a way that wasn’t at all because of the hot, humid weather. “Thanks,” she said again, wondering where her usual brash confidence had gone, and Bonnie gave her a bright smile.

“No problem! Okay, let’s head back. I’m so ready for a shower.”

“Me too,” Caroline groaned, stretching before falling into step beside Bonnie as they walked in a comfortable silence.

By the time they got back to the locker rooms almost everyone had left, Katherine and Liv lingering as they packed up their stuff by the lockers. “We’ll see you at breakfast?” Katherine offered when they entered, and Caroline nodded eagerly, Bonnie chiming in with an affirmative next to her.

Caroline pulled off her t-shirt in one practiced movement, rolling her shoulders and taking a deep breath before starting the fun after-practice-yoga of getting off her sports bra and shorts. She wriggled her thumbs under the waistband and started to tug down, shimmying slightly to try to pull the stubborn fabric over her hips, and she froze when she felt a hand rest on her hip.

“Want some help?”

Caroline’s eyes widened, her breath catching, and when she turned to face Bonnie she found her staring at up at her with heat in her eyes. She seemed tense, a bit nervous, but confident enough to take the first step, and Caroline swallowed audibly before foregoing an answer and bending to press her lips to Bonnie’s.
