i actually dont think there's anything funnier than people watching a show or whatever bc they heard it allegedly had gay people in it then getting upset when it includes incredibly normal genre specific tropes that they personally dont like, like maybe you should have checked that before you watched it king and then they get mad at the show for being the show that it is instead of embracing it for what it is. like I'm so sorry that axe murderer 30000 had axe murderers in it and didnt have a happy ending and was really violent but i do think there are some context clues around it that could have let you pick up on that
"The Brothers Grimm were important contributors to popular cultural European literature" and "The Brothers Grimm were violently antisemitic and misogynistic" are two facts that can and should coexist with each other.
Like, I am not commenting on the anti-zionist seder in principle, it's just that
not a single one of those words are written correctly. They're written down in the hagadah. They just had to open a single hagadah to see that all of those are written wrong. These are all written backwards, which is what often happens when you put right-to-left text in a program that can't handle it and flips it over, like photoshop.
Most programs can handle right-to-left text nowadays, so I have no clue how they got this wrong.
was there a single actual jew involved in the writing of this? JVP is notoriously mostly made up of non-jews but like, seriously? Propping open a hagadah to double check? No?
also why does that one circle just say "spoon". do I eat the spoon
fandom tumblr was another casualty of streaming services. we used to be on here posting about the episodes that were coming out weekly and posting gifs and writing insane shit about the tv shows we liked. now a new season of a show will drop and we’ll talk about it for a week. two weeks tops. and then that show will leave collectively conscious for 1+ year till the next season drops. there’s a reason succession sundays was a blast on here
Whoever invented "open in app" links that redirect you to the app store instead of actually opening the app even when you already have the app installed on your phone should be involuntarily turned into a beanbag chair
As someone who’s loved Sophia since oth, it’s nice to see her be so vulnerable about coming out. Her journey is valid and I hope people who accused her of being so many untrue things give her the grace she deserves. Please give this article a read, its beautifully written in her own words 🤍
