Ok allow me to be a former mcu Captain America nerd here for a minute (technically I never stopped they just started making shit movies, which. Fair. You can only hold off the inevitable romance between Bucky and Steve for so long and make it feel natural)

So. What If giving Peggy and Steve all the story beats that happened between Bucky and Steve except now they're allowed to be displayed as explicitly romantic because now it's straight?

Not great. I am not into Captain Peggy, not because I don't like Peggy but because I fucking love her and tbh I think the story they gave her was very lazy and unimaginative of Disney and Marvel. Like, they did great on Agent Carter? Peggy's story as Captain America should have been about her, not about Steve if Steve was Bucky...

It's also extra bitter after Endgame totally shat over Peggy's story in the Captain America films. Girl she went through this whole grieving process which we got to witness in Agent Carter and she healed and made a life for herself because she is more than Steve Roger's love interest she's the fucking founder of Shield. Then Endgame comes in and oops, she's reduced to Steve's love interest and reward at the end of his harrowing journey and all the character growth. (On a side note. The natural end to Steve's story would have been moving on in modern times and either giving the Captain America title on to someone else or accepting it and making it his own, either way the important beat was for him to finalise moving on from the past like Peggy had.)

And yet the studios conveniently forget all that the moment they wanna cash out on the queer love story between Captain America and his bestie Bucky but we gotta make it straight first. Why couldn't they write Peggy and Steve a romance between Peggy and Steve??? Why does it have to be the romance that already happened between Bucky and Steve??? Homophobia and misogyny, that's why.

They had used a burner phone to talk to the girl, not wanting to risk her tracing the number back to one of them. It had been Jungkook's idea; he found the girl's Instagram page, where she frequently posted pictures of herself, her dogs, and her friends. A quick DM and an hour later, Jungkook got her phone number and the two were texting daily.

He found out so much about the girl: her name was Ophelia, she lived in a small town in America, her dogs were named Gengi and Jingob, she had a younger brother named Henry and a 6-month-old sister named Rose, her father was Korean and her mother was Israeli. She had naturally dark, curly hair, but she frequently bleached and straightened it (right now it was an adorable baby pink). When she was born, her mother wasn't together with her father, so she was named Ophelia Felicite Potter, but her father forced her mother to change her name to Ophelia Lynn Park once they had officially started dating three months later. Henry, her little brother, was in Junior High, and Ophelia always drove him to school, since their town was so small that their Middle School, High School, and Community College were all in one building. 

Eventually, the rest of the boys began talking to her. All seven of them were pretending to be one person, a 19-year-old named Ian. Of course, Ophelia believed everything 'Ian' said. She had told them that she never had a boyfriend before, and absolutely loved the attention she was receiving for the first time. Even though she was still young, naive, and too trusting, she was still smart- both academically and morally. Whenever 'Ian' asked for nudes, she refused, which both pissed off and pleased the boys.

It was important that Ophelia never found out who they truly were. At least, not yet. The boys were heirs of one of the biggest mafia rings in South Korea, and they all knew that if the girl found out, the fake number would be blocked immediately. Even though the seven of them weren't important members in the business- their fathers and older brothers were more active than them, they were more of the poster kids- they were still expected to keep certain things private in order to keep them safe and their fathers in power. 

They decided that Ophelia would be one of the things they kept private.

'i have a surprise for you in an hour!! :D'

God, the kid was so cute. Seokjin looked down at the phone as the text alert caused the coffee table to gently vibrate. He smiled as he sent his reply.

'Why can't I have the surprise now?'

A moment later Ophelia's reply pinged.

'i'm in class right now and im fairly certain you dont want calculus as your surprise'

'Alright, I'll wait. Do your schoolwork.'

'dont tell me what to do love u xxx'

Seokjin smiled again and put the phone in his pocket. It was currently three in the morning in Seoul, so two in the afternoon Ophelia's time. She gets out of school at 2:25, so it wouldn't be long before Jin received the 'surprise' Ophelia was talking about. 

Jin idly played on his own phone, waiting for another text from the girl, when he heard footsteps coming down the stairs. He turned his head towards the noise to find Namjoon approaching him.

"Hyung, what are you doing up?" Namjoon asked, voice deep and rough with sleep. In the back of his mind, he knew he was texting Ophelia, but if something important had happened he wanted to know. 

"Ophelia's getting out of school soon and she has a surprise for us." Namjoon hummed in response. He never was as obsessed with Ophelia as the other boys, but he had talked to her quite a few times. 

Jin grabbed Namjoon's hand and guided him to lay on the couch with him. Namjoon immediately curled into his boyfriend, breathing in the lingering scent of his cologne. One of Jin's hands began stroking the younger's hair while the other continued aimlessly scrolling through his emails. 

Namjoon quickly fell asleep again, and the burner phone pinged soon after that. Jin carefully took the phone out of his back pocket, trying not to wake his sleeping beauty, and became excited as he saw Ophelia had sent a picture message. He quickly opened the messaging app and cooed at what the girl had sent. 

She had sent a mirror picture of her in a dress. The dress was a flowing red ball gown with gold accents on the waist. Ophelia looked absolutely beautiful in it, and Jin quickly saved the picture to send to his real phone. 

'prom is in a month and i really wish i could go with you. what do you think of this dress? someone told me this shade of red suits me but idk'

Prom. Ophelia would be going to prom with someone other than Jin or one of the other boys. While one of them taking her was unrealistic and impossible, it still pained him to think that it wouldn't be him. 

'You look stunning. I wish I could see it in person.'

'<;3 :)'

Jin put the phone back on the table, smiled, and closed his eyes. He was absolutely whipped.

Once the rest of the boys woke up, the dress was the main discussion at breakfast.

"I think she looks adorable in it," Taehyung said, "Just look at her face in the picture- it's obvious she's in love with it, too."

"But its too mature for her! It shows off too much!" Jimin said, his voice distressed. 

"Jimin, she's not our baby yet. Once we have her then you can decide what is and isn't too big for her," said Namjoon. 

For the past month, they had been preparing a plan to bring Ophelia to Korea with them. They wanted her to be their Little, and them be her Daddies. Some of them were more excited than others (Jin and Jimin were both ecstatic about this), but all of them had warmed up to the idea. Hoseok, Jimin, and Taehyung had gone crazy over putting together a nursery and clothes shopping. It had been easy to find childlike clothes in Ophelia's size, including a car seat, since Ophelia was rather small for her age. 

They had decided what they would be called almost as soon as they got the idea of Ophelia being a Little. Namjoon and Jin would be the main caregivers, with Namjoon being Appa and Jin being Eomma. Yoongi and Jimin would also be her caretakers, Yoongi being Daddy and Jimin being Mommy. Hoseok, Taehyung, and Jungkook would be less of caretakers and more of playmates, but they still wanted to spend time with Ophelia. 

Luckily, they had a business meeting in America in two weeks, which would be relatively close to where Ophelia lives (thanks to careful mapping done by Jungkook), so they could take her and bring her home with them with ease. The boys knew Ophelia would have a much better life with them.

Absolute chaos of having three littles running around and needing Mommy/Daddy

So I actually think that James wouldn't be a little? Instead you and him are the two caregivers and clem and James are the two littles and it's perfect. (I'd say all three of them are subs, while clem and Marcus are littles and you and James are their caregivers, so James is a sub and a caregiver).

I think James knew about clem and Marcus being littles long before the relationship started? He had been Marcus's caregiver for years, and then when he met clem he easily became clem's caregiver as well.

It's complicated for a little while when the relationship first forms, because clem and Marcus feel like they have to hide the fact that they're littles from you. Which is so so hard because you're already their dom so it feel so natural to regress around you?

James, of course, encourages them to tell you because he's 100% certain that you will love and accept that side of them (and also because he desperately wants to care for them with you?).

Eventually it's Marcus that tells you first, when you are visiting him alone in America. He hadnt seen Marcus in weeks, meaning he hadnt had a caregiver in weeks and as much as he loved the day you dommed him the night before, he desperately needs to regress.

You're shocked when you find out, but only because you can't believe you didnt know about this. You hug Marcus tight and promise him that you're more than okay with that and that you'd be honoured to care for him. He's dropped before you can even finish talking because he needs it so bad, leaving you to frantically call James over and over until he answers and gives you a rundown of how to help Marcus.

Clem tells you soon after, pretty much the moment he found out you had accepted and cared for Marcus, he told you. You accept him too of course, and when you tell James that you can't wait for the two of you to care for them together James is so happy he could cry.

And yes, Marcus and clem together are pure chaos but it's just so good anyway? James is the 'fun' caregiver, he plays games with them and plans activities and takes them on outings. You're more of the 'calm' caregiver? You tell them stories and offer them cuddles and put them down for naps. You and James make the perfect time together and it's so good.

People keep wondering why everything seems to be getting exponentially worse all at once. I honestly think that a) this amount of violence and regression is a normal response to a nominally successful progressive movement. I remember in one of my polisci classes, our professor pointed out how progress was never made without backlash, but that eventually progress won.

But also this is the result of a huge portion of supposedly progressive people digging their heels in and insisting that we can have what we want and maintain the status quo at the same time--the status quo that is hurting us and getting us killed in the first place. Decades of ahistorical teachings about the civil Rights Movement paint it as time with lots and yelling and marching and little to no actual disruption, meanwhile MLK explicitly stated that he was going out of his way to be a pain in the ass because he knew that simply asking white supremacists to sit down and talk was not going to change their minds. We have people now who think yelling is a non-peaceful protest. We have people now who think a protest can't be an inconvenience to anyone, even though that's how they've always worked.

A lot of the progressives who want change want peace--as in no disruption whatsoever, even if that comes at the cost of maintaining the status quo. Think of the neoliberals who see that corporations are ruining the planet and try to solve the problem with more corporations. Think of the people who see that individualism and capitalism are causing so many societal issues and who insist that we need further individualism, rather than community, to move us forward.

Think of the feminists who would rather say gender roles are revolutionary than admit that gender roles' primary reason to exist is to oppress women. If you can get people on board with the idea that feminism is about choice and nothing else, you can have things like the bimbo movement--deeply misogynistic and frankly very insulting--thrive because people think playing directly into gender expectations for women does just as much work for the patriarchy as actually dismantling gender expectations for them. Choice feminism and a liberal feminism that cannot give up the familiarity of patriarchy have absolutely stalled women's rights progress in America.

The same can be said for the gay rights movement. With most of the activism of this generation being dedicated to micromanaging identities and discourse, hardly anyone lays attention to house bills being passed in states to limit trans rights. There's a mass censorship movement going on that doesn't get as quick vitriol as the yearly kink at pride argument and the haste to desexualize gay people since very many members of the community still see gay people as sexually deviant, despite insistence otherwise.

Racial justice progress has stalled because of respectability politics. Nevermind that MLK himself wasn't respectable by any means--as I said, he caused a lot of disruptions. What we have now is white people resorting to violence at the slightest itch and racial minorities still expecting themselves and each other to play nice, to play fair, to get what we want without actually making white people uncomfortable. There's the assumption that we're inherently radical for (wanting to be) antiracist, but there's little to no radical action paired with it.

There's probably more examples, but while radicalism has absolutely gone up in many ways, the mainstream portions of this movement have ground to a halt because there a very many people who simply don't actually want to give up the status quo. The pithy benefits they have from it, they believe outpace the structural harm they're facing from it. They want change without work. They want to live a fantasy without actually building it. Doing any of this would require admitting that they were, at some point, siding with the enemy, and lots of people can't do that. So they call for change through means that support the status quo.

Some important facts about me!

I'm a furry! I love anthropomorphic animals! Their so fun to draw and make! This DOES NOT mean that i have a sexual interest in even anthropomorphic animals! I just think their cool!

I've been fixated on FNAF for years! But as of recent, since FNAFSB came out, I've been fixated on Sun and Moon(the Daycare Attendants)! They are my major comfort!

More recently, I've become attached to Dogday and Catnap (Poppy Playtime)! Not a fixation, tho, just an attachment cause both of them(the cartoon and plush versions) are cute to me!

I have Diagnoised Gender Dysphoria, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and Undiagnosed Autism(it was recommended that i do not get a diagnosis as it could interfere with my Gender Transtion! Tho, several people, including my family doctor and my therapist, believe i am autistic. Others in my family also have autism, including my dad and my younger sister :> )

Our goal is to improve the world, specifically progressive arguments, actions, and movements, by dissecting the reductive, regressive, bad-faith, canned, malicious, neo-segregationist, and/or liberally misapplied concepts that modern progressives often don't even think to question.

We share screenshots and prompt discussions about the bad habits of the progressive movement. We also share parody, satire, obvious socks/plants, and anything related to performing to make everyone believe one has value as a person based on one's beliefs or traits rather than their humanity or their actions.

We let everyone interact; however, if you approach discussions in bad faith or don't have the patience for levity you probably will be blocked. No hard feelings.

If you have a sense of humour, can have civil discussions with people with whom you disagree, and like to think through all sides of a discussion to strengthen your own stance, you might enjoy it here.

Many members of our hyperanalytical crowd of friends, allies, and banterinos interact very literally, while others interact pretty much entirely via sarcasm. Some of us have hair triggers, while some keep their cool in every situation. So expect a variety of people and if you think someone is being aggressive, spiteful, hateful, etc, ask. And if someone asks you for clarification, it's not meant as a point of offense. Our primary goal is progress, and we can't achieve that without mutual respect.

All sides of the political spectrum are drawn to this topic, but that doesn't mean that all political stances are valid or helpful or condoned by the administration (@the-beardy-watching-eye, @fedorahead, etc).

Attacking someone for any trait they do not have control over (sex, race, facial structure, national origin, etc) will result in a block. Attacking someone over anything *can* result in a block. Attacking their argument with a thought-out response probably won't result in a block from us, and if you do it cleverly we'll probably like/follow you, too.

It’s Time To Vent

The following is an excerpt from my review of Sugar Grits in Ken’s Food Find.

Alright, the reason why I ended up at Sugar Grits in the first place was because one of my favorite dining places had to cut its operating hours due to a lack of staff. This happened from a positive COVID test from one of the employees at one of restaurant/bar's sister locations that had to close because of it. Given that the establishment and others within its "family" share staffing, that one individual who was too hard headed and selfish to not get a coronavirus vaccine shot has single handedly hobbled a restaurant chain. If the argument for that person's decision was "my body, my choice," how can he/she justify to his/her co-workers, bosses and patrons why? Does he/she believe COVID-19 is a hoax despite millions dying around the world? Does he/she believe the coronavirus isn't that bad despite the millions who have been hospitalized? Does he/she believe the vaccines are some government plot to implant microchips in order to track and control the population (If people were that concerned about privacy, why use smartphones)? I could go on and on with all the ridiculous conspiracy theories about COVID-19 and the vaccines that people are using as an excuse to not get vaccinated, but I rather talk about the consequences of not doing the right thing. For anti-vaxxers, their stubbornness and dickish attitudes about COVID are the reasons why America can't get back to normal, with the country regressing instead of progressing. Because of them, Americans still have to wear masks despite many of us being vaccinated. We're being inconvenienced because of a few assholes who insist on being free to do what they want. For those who make the "my body, my choice" argument, this isn't about whether or not to carry a fetus to term, something that affects only the mother, "baby daddy" and a few others including obviously the potential baby. In contemplating an abortion, a woman's decision won't affect my ability to eat an omelet at my favorite restaurant, nor will it cost me my life or child support by merely being around her. However, not getting vaccinated can endanger my life (and for pregnant women, their unborn babies) and many others in the community and actually affect the economy (as in taking money out of my pocket and food off my plate). The anti-vaxxers don't have the right to make a "choice" that affects my life and many others. So please, just get vaccinated and stop being a burden on others. By the way, for those who aren't getting vaccinated because they want to "own the Libs" and screw with the current White House resident, just know that the only thing you might be owning is a coffin (ironically, the death rate in some "swing" states is reducing the margin of voters of one particular political party, making it easier for their rivals to win elections). It's really dumb and counterproductive, so just get your shots and end the foolishness.

SIDE NOTE: What I mean by "shots" is of the coronavirus vaccines and not the antibodies shot that some are getting. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but the COVID vaccines are the best defense against the coronavirus. Also, those who are are taking the equine drug Ivermectin (I'm looking at you, Mississippi), stop horsing around and get with the program.

I hope things will eventually get back to normal. Especially at a couple of my favorite bars where I heard the owner is giving an ultimatum to his employees: get vaccinated or get gone (this guy resembles a Marvel MCU character who knows how to "punish" those who mess with his businesses). I hope they take heed and do the right thing, for it benefits no one in being unvaccinated. The sooner the rest of the world does this, the sooner we can all breathe free.
