Only thing I recall about the Xbox one (at least as of me typing this) was that it was gonna be a platformer rather than an adventure game, and that it was gonna involve a planet full of rabbity things like Max.

yeah, but it was still gonna be an adventure game at its core! there were platformer elements in it though, and i think there were also some platformer things in the unreleased freelance police as well. one thing i do vividly remember though was that in plunge through space there were gonna be free-roaming enemies so you could go back and attack them whenever, which i just thought was really fun for a sam and max game

but anyway plunge through space was about the statue of liberty being stolen and sam and max having to go to outer space to this big alien casino to get it back. along the way they meet some interesting characters, some of which being alien lagomorphs from a planet where they all look similar to max.

i really wish we got this game! to me personally, it has some of the most charming concept art from purcell that he’s made for the series. not to mention an alien casino sounds EXACTLY like something i’d be obsessed with. just some really creative ideas all around.

Idk how long ago it was but if you're still looking for a way to read enstars stories in english you can take the link of the wiki page of the story and paste it in the search bar on archivedottoday (it's a literal dot but it says i cant put a link in an ask) and it'll show you a past version of the story wiki page that had translated chapters on it

Oh I usually use the wayback machine site for that that's not really the issue the ! Stories I know how to get to but it's more about the stories that were released after the wiki got taken down hat are the problem because there's only so many fan tls on Tumblr and I'd like to read the professionally done official tls as well which I'd have to download engstars for which I don't really want it's a simple issue with a super simple solution but my own spiteful defiance is the screw that's lose and ruins this whole thought constructs sobsob </3

I find it interesting this entire thing has made it to tumblr when this is a twitter situation. It’s okay to DM me about this.

Here’s my thoughts on this openly since I didn’t want to say this on twitter because all my Black Clover friends are on there including Emi.

Emi is my mutual, back then, and still now. I wanted to support her so I commissioned her. It was not to my knowledge that she traced the image until the day that tweet was posted and this upset me greatly. No one ever told me it was traced— she never told me it was traced— there were never refunds given.

In a sense, sure, I got scammed. I trusted Emi with her talent to make things up to her personal interpretation, talent which she DOES have and that’s upsetting. I never asked her to ref that photo. But it’s unfortunate that it’s completely wasted with tracing works from other artists. This is not okay at all and this was never okay.

But unfortunately, I’m not one to be confrontational and since she is apart of the HUGE bc artist circle on twitter and also has a great following, I just decided not to do anything about it but just simply not support her anymore financially.

From my interactions with Emi, she is a nice person, however I can never condone what she did. People are quick to say it’s referencing however, it is very clear that she is tracing. She has admitted to it before but claims she hasn’t done it since, however that thread you provided obtains examples of clear tracing from RECENT works and it’s causing her to profit off of other people’s artworks through her commissions.

I just don’t want to be apart of any sort of fandom drama, I hope you understand, but seeing that you are literally the only person other than one mutual of mine that reached out about this situation, here you go lol.

Sup, I've been silently lurking and liking stuff on your blog for atleast 1 year now (I can't exactly remember when, I just know that it's probably a year now if not then almost a year) and I love your art so much. Your MineDai art is lovey and funny (and what introduced me to you), but seriously... you creating MasaDai art is the wish I didn't think would happen and thank god it did. I see it as a crack ship and almost no one ships it from what I've seen before, so to have someone do some art is great and it's from you so it's more lovely. The moment I saw Masato's emo looking punk ass and know that he is around the same age as Daigo, then dressing up in a more formal way in his later years... I knew this can be a ship, a funny one even (and even funnier with Ichi and others). Thank you for this blessing.

SAME ON MASATO/DAIGO THO i remember playing Y7 and my immediate reaction to masato was just that he was like daigo if rgg leaned more into him being goth and it KO'd me. i just needed them to be A Thing immediately- AND THE FACT HE DOES BRUSH UP AND 'BECOME DOMESTICATED' IS SOOOOO (masumi saying that they should think similar to each other since they're about the same age is, while very VERY small, does feed my delusions more too so that's always fun). i can't even blame people for not expanding on their potential more though: masato already is a controversial character to talk about, so trying to discuss him for too long kinda gets awkward. i'll be the freak soldier willing to bear that burden of loving him tho 🫡

But omg I want Pete to beat Vegas´s father (just come to his father and slap him back when he is going to beat Vegas again). Then Pete taking over minor family business and become the most badass mafia prince with Vegas beside him. That would be my wish for next episodes:DD

Sure, none of it happened, but they were good ideas! Gun deserved a retribution, for one. It would teach him absolutely nothing, but sometimes it's not about that. It'd be worth it, if only every punch carried Vegas' name on it, even if he wasn't the one retaliating. If only his father knew it was for Vegas, that no matter how much he had tried to make a beast out of him, how much he had belittled him, there was still someone in the world who thought him deserving of compassion, who was willing to stand up and fight for him, for a reason beyond duty—beyond the obedience that drove Gun's bodyguards and first-born to stand between Gun and his enemies, and take the blows meant for him.

I'd have liked to see him die knowing that Vegas was more than his failed project, and would be fine without him. That someone would be there to fix part of what Gun had broken.

Perhaps he wouldn't care. Perhaps it wouldn't make a difference. But someone should have let him know anyway.

Considering what happened in the finale, however, Vegas probably wouldn't let anyone beat his father, not even (especially?) if it was to defend him. If a scenario like that had happened back at the safehouse, Pete wouldn't be able to take it very far before Vegas held him back. And the worst part, Gun woud probably try to kill Pete afterwards, to finish what his son couldn't do. That would put Vegas in a very difficult position. The more he asked his father to spare Pete, the more his father would want to take him away from Vegas. In his eyes, Pete, whether as a toy or a lover, would be nothing but a distraction to his son. He wouldn't allow that.

The only way to save Pete, then, would be going against his father. And unfortunately I'm not sure Vegas would be ready/capable of doing that.

(I'm glad he wasn't the one to kill his father, though. Or Pete, for that matter. Vegas would have mixed feelings about it, and it would haunt them. Korn being the one to deliver the bullet was the best scenario in the end. Vegas already hated Korn before that, and now he justs hates him even more. There is grief, anger, and even guilt (for not getting there soon enough to prevent it, for not being better), but if he could bring himself to direct it all at Korn, and not at himself... That would be a win. That would be easier to live with.)

Now, about their future... Much like you, I'd like them to stay in the mafia, despite it being the least safe option for them. I mean, I can imagine them retiring, telling everyone in the family to fuck off, and go live a life of their own somewhere else, but... I just don't like it lol I want to see the evil (Korn) being defeated, and I want Vegas, Pete and Macau in the victor team when that happens. Kinn and Porsche should be the ones getting the peaceful beach life; Vegas and Pete would thrive in the roles those two got, and different from them, they wouldn't whine about it.

Fortunately, as long as they are alive, Vegas and Macau will always represent a threat to Korn. They could be on the other side of the galaxy, and his paranoia would still go on and on in his head about how one day they will come back to take the throne from him, or his sons. That's their family legacy. That's who the Theerapanyakul are, who him and Gun were, who their father was before them. He can't help but expect the same from Vegas and Macau. He won't be able to let them out of his sight, until he finds a justifiable reason to take them out of the board for good, as he did with their father.

Fortunately, because it leaves Vegas, Pete and Macau no choice, but to turn against Korn, to protect each other. To protect their family.

I also suspect that, despite not trusting him, Korn will still try to make use of Vegas in the future. Vegas won't be happy about it, and neither will Pete and Macau. But if Korn threatened the lives of Macau, Pete, or their grandma (because it's their grandma, now), he'd have to comply. In the surface, of course. It wouldn't be Vegas if he weren't scheming (with Pete and Macau (and maybe even Porsche)) on the side.

In Pete's case, on the other hand, he used to be one of Korn's pawns, easily dismissed, and I wonder how long it took Korn to lose that image of him and realize that, on Vegas' side, on the other side of the chessboard, Pete becomes one of his most dangerous enemies. Might not have thought of that when he let him go, but it'll dawn on him soon enough. Either naturally, or in the bad way (I'm rooting for the bad way, naturally).

I almost forgot to mention, but, like you, anon, I haven't read the novel either. Personally, I also don't care about what it dictates. The novel is like the worst fanfiction of a story I hold very dear, so I don't take it into consideration, and everything I learn about it is against my will. Your ideas for a continuation are a lot better! And I hope you didn't mind hearing a little about my own theories, too.

hi! i'm a different anon from the one who complimented your gif making skills, but I a 100% agree with that anon. i was wondering if you could ever go over your process while making gifs? you said to ask people who's gif making skills I admire, so I'm asking you rn

Omg hi I'm honored! I'll do my best to give you a quick rundown but let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to know! (just pls keep in mind that I'm really still a beginner too + I've never done a tutorial or the like before haha)

(I use photopea but this works for Photoshop just as well.)

First, make sure you get a 1080p, 2k or 4k quality download to gif with— it'll make the process and especially the sharpening way easier. I've seen some people say it's possible to do with certain 720p files but I personally haven't done it yet so no comment on that. (I mostly use mega files (sometimes google doc files) as download source.

SET UP

1. I use KMplayer to screencap the scene I want to gif and then import the frames to photopea. (after screencapping I open photopea and go to file >open>then select the first frame of the scene and import it then go to file>open and place>then select the rest of my frames from first to last and import them all at once)

2. Next I select all of the frames in the workbar and rasterize (shift + right click) them then I go to Layer>Animation>make frames. After that I click shift + G to group my frames.

3. Now depending on if I gif bbc merlin or star wars I sharpen or color first. For sharpening, once again select all your frames and then go to Filter>Sharpen>Smart Sharpen and pick your preferred sharpening settings.

COLORING

The amount of adjustment layers I use here widely depends on the gif and og coloring of it but—

I always start with a Brightness/Contrast layer and set the blending mode to Screen, then I adjust the opacity to fit the lighting to my liking.

Then a Curves layer followed by a levels layer and last but not least a selective Color layer.

Depending on if the media I'm working on is tinted blue, green, yellow or grey I apply a Hue/Saturation layer and amp it up to 100% to get an idea of what colors are hiding underneath. Once I did I delete it again and add a Color Balance layer.

That's it.
