141 Headcanons: On Holiday
John Price is 100% a dad type. He likes golfing and fishing and sailing. Activities that let him unwind, sometimes make new friends in the shape of other middle-aged men at the country club or at the docks or at the lake. Rents a little cabin by the lake, where you can take a soak or sunbathe, while he goes out with his little fishing boat and try (and fail) to catch something nice for dinner.
Johnny MacTavish is an adventurous type. He likes hiking and camping, stuff that lets him stay busy, and will definitely explore some forest or national park or mountain range. But he also likes fun activities. Music festivals, for example. He'll definitely book you all-inclusive 3-day-long tickets even though there's only one or two artists/bands you want to see, just so you can have that experience and have fun together.
Kyle Garrick is a family lad. His family is big and loving and they book a little trip every year somewhere fun. It might be a new destination, or it might be somewhere they've been before, or maybe somewhere to visit family. But he loves bringing his love along, go do all the touristy things, see all the landmarks, take loads of pictures, try new restaurants and new food, and do cultural things like reading all the plaques on statues and fountains and monuments.
Simon Riley likes peace and quiet. That's the jist of it. Needs it, in fact. So, prepare to rent a little historical cottage in the Cotswold, or maybe a beach condo, or a cabin in the woods. Doesn't matter, what matters it's that it's fairly isolated, with no neighbors to really bother him. He can sleep in late, with no one to force him to do things he doesn't want to do, no schedule to uphold, no people to answer to. He'll roll out of bed at noon, make himself tea and go sit outside and feell the breeze on his skin for once.
Crack headcanons: Beach Day Episode™️
John Price tends to burn, instead of tan, surprisingly. Probably because his uniforms tend to cover him from neck to toes, leaving only his hands and face showing... And if you'd expect his face to be immune to burning, you'd be wrong. Especially because he's terrible at applying sunblock. By the time you notice, his cheeks, nose and forehead are red, and there are white lines around his muttonchops/beard where the sunblock didn't absorb... so he just looks ridiculous.
Johnny MacTavish likes to say he's not English/British... until he goes on holiday to southern Europe and he's suddenly the perfect example of the stereotypical English tourist. Football jersey, denim shorts, socks and slides/sandals, his entire skin is burned to a crisp and red, and, of course, he's wearing the most stupid-looking sunglasses you'll ever see... And then he gets to the beach, takes off his shorts and he's wearing a red speedo.
Kyle Garrick is 100% the type to disappear off his towel while you're sunbathing and, by the time you notice, he's in a completely different side of the beach playing beach paddle ball, beach volleyball or beach football with a group of other blokes or even with little kids. And he does all this while wearing his little cap (but backwards) and while absolutely covered in tanning oil. Does he need it? No. But he likes the feel of it.
Simon Riley would not be caught dead in swimming trunks or a speedo. The man needs full coverage. He's in a wet/surf suit and wearing a facekini WITH his stupid dad sunglasses and, maybe even, a visor. He gets fidgety if he has to sit in his towel for too long so he's also the type who'll go for a walk out of nowhere, down the beach, and, eventually, cross paths with an Asian grandma who's wearing the same exact outfit as him.

The sound of your phone vibrating on the kitchen island is what made you stop what you were doing to pick it up. You didn't even have to bother to look at who it was calling you because you had a special ringtone for your husband. That was different from everyone else.
After answering the phone you place it on your shoulder and lean your head to the side so it doesn't fall. "Hi Aaron" his name left your lips in a smooth sounding way. You knew that when Aaron called you during work he didn't want to be reminded of work so you called him by his name or a pet name when you were feeling extra brave.
It took a moment for him to respond and when he did you could tell by the tone of his voice that he was agitated and not in a very good mood. "hi sweetheart. I'm going to be home a bit earlier than planned tonight" He never spoke about his job over the phone. He just wanted to focus on your voice and the thought of you at home with jack.
You were surprised that he was coming home earlier because usually he is calling you saying that he will be later. However it went well with your plans, you just had to hurry up the pace. "Okay great. Ill make us some food and we can all have a relaxing night" The sigh that leaves his lips has you smiling. "that sounds amazing. I've got to go but I love you"
"I love you too" When the call ended you placed your phone back onto the counter and went back to baking cookies. You had been making cookies so that Jack could decorate some for his father before he got home. The tree had been put up with the help of your husband a few days ago but it was left undecorated. Tonight will be the last night it isnt lit up with lights and decorations because the three of you will be making this home more christmasy
As you pull out the cookies and place the tray on top of the stove Jack comes into the room. "it smells really good in here" he says as he comes up beside you to look at the cookies. "well I am the best baker in the state so it better smell good in here" This earns a laugh from the young boy.
Going to the fridge to get icing and some other things you didn't even have to look over to know that he was trying to grab a cookie to eat already. "They are hot. No touching" He looks at you like a deer in headlights and he has the same look on his face that Aaron does when you tell him no. "how did you even know I was grabbing one?"
His words make you smile as you place the items on the big table. "I see everything. There's not much that your able to sneak past me" Jack laughs a little and sits at the table. "ill grab you a butter knife so you can spread the icing around"
Once everything is set up you had left Jack to the cookie decorating while you go get out ornaments that they had in boxes. There was Christmas music playing throughout the house that Jack had requested earlier today and its been playing ever since.
As you placed a box down you hear Jacks voice from the kitchen "can you come decorate with me?" How could you ever say no to that. "yeah I'm coming" you set the box to the side so it wasn't in the way and went and sat beside Jack at the table.
Jack had made a gingerbread man that resembled a bit like his father and so you smile and point to it. "is that your father as a gingerbread man" He ends up laughing and nodding "Yes that is who it is. Doesn't it look great!"
It had black icing for the hair and a face with a huge smile because that's all Jack ever seen of his father. He knew his father was a happy man. Of course he had seen his father upset, sad and all other emotions but happiness and laughter is how Jack sees him and it made your heart ache from the amount of love you felt for the both of them. "It looks fantastic Jack"
The two of you continued to decorate the cookies and by the time that Aaron got there the both of you were singing along to the music that you barely noticed him. He had time to take a few photos of the both of you before you noticed. Jack is the first one to run up to him and hug his father while you stay back. Then when he makes his way to you, you place a kiss to his lips.
Jack makes a disgusted sound and it causes the both of you to laugh and then when Aaron looks at the cookies he sees the one that looks like Aaron and he looks at Jack "did you make that" When he nods Aaron smiles "it looks really good. In fact I might just have to eat it first" He grabs it and takes a bite and he nods letting you know its good.
"go get into some comfortable clothes we are going to decorate the tree and watch a Christmas movie" He laughs as you practically shoo him out of the kitchen.
When he leaves to go to the bedroom you clean everything up and place the cookies on a plate so that they can be eaten throughout the night.
Then when it is time to decorate the tree, the three of you have it lit up with colorful lights and decorations and then its the hassle of putting up the star on the top so when jack gets the star out he goes to his dad and he lifts him up as he places it on the tree.
After that's all finished you put on the the Grinch because its your favorite and also Jack loves it too. The both of you mouth some of the lines to each other and laugh while Aaron just looks at his family in complete adoration and halfway throughout the movie the three of you are asleep in the same bed. Jack in between the both of you curled up.

Summary: Y/n has always wished to spend the holidays with her family, and as always they are absent, so Hazel wants to make it up to her.

a/n; second holiday one shot! This year I'm really in the holiday mood. Wishing you guys the best holidays and I hope you guys enjoy this.
Y/n took a sip of her drink as she jumped her leg up and down thinking of reasons for why they hadn’t shown up. She wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they had been stuck in traffic or got lost in the way. But as Y/n watched the time pass by she got angrier by the minute. They had her number if they got lost or lost track of time they would’ve called her. She had the same number all her life. It simply pissed her off, they were four hours late. Y/n placed her glass down, swirling her fork in the empty plate in front of her.
The only thing that had entertained her in the past hours was the ticking clock in front of her. The still surprisingly hot food taunted Y/n making her remember why she was alone in the first place. It irked her that the food was still hot. The fact that after all this effort, Y/n was there alone, with no one to share the food she spent hours making, with no one to make beautiful memories, just herself and the goddamn clock.
Y/n pulled out her phone scrolling through her social media in an attempt to live her holidays through other people's instagram stories. But as her scrolling ended up in her sister's thanksgiving post, she felt her heart drop. Her whole family is together having dinner, without her. With a sigh she got up knowing that her family wasn’t going to show up anytime soon. Y/n stared daggers at her phone while she walked towards her room to change into something more comfortable. She was pissed, all this food, all this time wasted, just for it to be another horrible thanksgiving.
It wasn’t the first year that her family had bailed or canceled on her last minute, by now she should’ve been used to it but she still had hope that they would try to make an effort. Year after year, excuse after excuse. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. She never felt appreciated by her family but at least she tried to make things right, she pushed past every bad thing they did and continued to give them several opportunities. Yet there she was, with a kitchen beautifully decorated, with food untouched and a broken heart.
Y/n walked towards her room slipping on an oversized T-shirt her Hazel had given her and the first pajama pants she found. She rubbed her eyes and dragged herself towards the living room in an attempt to distract herself from the situation at hand. Before she sat down she walked towards her kitchen to serve herself some of the food she had on the table to later put in the fridge but her actions came to a halt when she saw an expensive car outside her house.
She rolled her eyes and angrily walked towards the front door. One of her neighbors always found pleasure in pranking her but quite frankly she didn’t feel like it not today. She was ready to yell at anyone that was behind it, she wasn’t going to accept any excuse, it was fucking over. But her anger disappeared when she saw her group of friends holding different types of beautifully decorated pans.
“Is the party over?” Josie asked, trying to peek in while she held onto her tray filled with food. Her eyes scanned the group, her once sad exterior quickly changing as she noticed that the four of them were wearing their pj’s. Y/n instantly smiled softly and looked at the ground, embarrassed.
“It actually never really started” Y/n laughed nervously while hugging herself trying to shield herself from anymore embarrassment.
“Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s get this party started. We will set the table and the mood while you guys talk!” PJ exclaimed while hitting Y/n’s shoulder in a form of hello pushing past her. The other girls followed closed behind PJ to the kitchen but not before both of them greeted her with warm hugs. Y/n smiled as she watched them bicker while they placed the trays on the table.
“You remembered?” Y/n asked, finally breaking the silence between the two of them.
“What do you mean?” Hazel asked innocently, her cheeks quickly turned red as she looked down to her feet avoiding Y/n’s gaze.
“ You remembered what I told you about my family and the holidays. I thought you weren’t listening when I rambled. ” Y/n smiled softly while pulling Hazel into a long awaited hug. Hazel hugged her back as she felt Y/n hide her face on her neck. Hse could feel Y/n’s breath on her neck sending shivers down her back.
“I wanted you to spend it with your family. Well at least your real family. I couldn’t leave my favorite girl alone during the holidays.” Hazel whispered into her ear as she rubbed her back softly. Their bodies swayed back and forth as Isabel slowly turned on the radio to let them hear the Christmas music all over the house.
“Your favorite girl?” Y/n asked moving her face away to look at Hazel’s flushed face. She quickly looked to the side avoiding her gaze not wanting to die of embarrassment.
“That’s not the point, Y/n. We love you dearly and we don’t let people we love alone. I know how much you love the holidays and you deserve the best. I love you Y/n and want you to be happy. If I can make it happen I will. I swear I’ll go to the ends of the world to make you happy. As cheesy as that sounds.” Hazel murmured in your hair while tears threatened to spill from your eyes onto her shirt.
“Stop! Now you’re going to make me cry, Callahan” Y/n said while pulling away softly and quickly holding her hands while they walked together towards the kitchen, closing the door behind them.
“Save your tears for when you try PJ’s supposed cake, it’s horrendous.” Hazel said with a laugh squeezing her hand softly and with the other one cleaning your tears.
“Hey! I heard that” PJ exclaimed, dropping the piece of turkey she was about to eat. Y/n looked around taking in the table full of food. While all her friends sat around the table wanting for the two of them to get there to start the feast.
“I brought a backup dessert, so no need to worry.” Brittany replied, as she pointed to the beautiful cake near her side of the table.
“Thank you, Brittany for underestimating me. I know I can always count on you.” PJ said sarcastically as she rolled her eyes finally sitting down. Y/n and Hazel followed her actions sitting by each other.
“I’m really thankful for you guys, really. Thank you so much for coming, you guys don’t know how much I appreciate it”
“Thank Hazel. She was the one that planned this.” Isabel smiled towards the pair as Hazel blushed once again.
“I think this Christmas we will have more couples under the mistletoe”
“Shut up, PJ”
Thanksgiving this year wasn’t what Y/n expected but it was better than she could ever imagine. That’s what she was thankful for her beautiful amazing friends and Hazel.

and just like that, we are on the last day of holidays with equallyshaw
for those that have been here from the first to this one...ily guys
without further ado, happy holidays- i hope you all have a wonderful day with loved ones. and i also send extra love to those who could not spend christmas with loved ones for any reason. i see you and am going through the same thing🫶🏻🎄

ᴏʀɪɢɪɴᴀʟʟʏ, ᴅᴀɪꜱʏ ᴀɴᴅ Qᴜɪɴɴ were not meant to spend new years together. the two had decided for daisy to stay in boston where she is from, and spend time with her family. daisy though, didn't want to spend it without. it would have been their first new years out of the three previous ones that they'd spend not together. quinn seemed content the last time they finalized their plans for the holidays, but daisy was not content with them.

daisy had been a ball of nerves all day. from the moment she woke up, the moment she got through tsa, the moment she picked up a coffee from the airport cafe and the minute she sat down in her airplane seat. she had turned off her location so quinn couldn't see where she was. they were texting back and forth after she boarded and then she heard the worst news possible, they were being delayed an hour. which meant by the looks of it- she would not be getting there until 9 pm. she texted bella brock's gf, letting her know her arrival time might be pushed back. and bella being the best, had no issue with that. she would make it work. she put her phone on silent, and pulled out her book to read.
she was in for a travel day.

it was 9:15 pm when bella hugged her good friend, daisy. "oh my god i thought i was never getting out of there!" she exasperated as she flung her carry on suitcase and bag in the back, and hopped in the front. "i was worried you weren't." bella said putting her car in drive. "all that matters is that you got here safe and sound." she hummed pulling out of the airport pickup area. daisy nodded, "are we heading to your apartment?" she asked to confirm and bella nodded. "yeah, brock just left for dinner with the boys. i said that i would meet him there later since he knows about you already. but im so excited for q!" she said clapping her hands together. daisy blushed, "me too." she hummed responding to a picture quinn sent of his outfit to confirm that it looked good.
"quinn was being super mopey knowing that you weren't gonna be here this year.." bella let out, as they stopped at a light. daisy frowned, "well its a good thing im here." she hummed locking her phone. "he really said that he was fine with you not being here?" she questioned, as she began to drive again. daisy nodded, "yeah, he said that he was fine with it. he knows how much I've missed my family with starting work here in vancouver, and because of that i haven't been able to travel this season so far. i had a feeling he was putting on a front when we spoke about the plans a few weeks back." she explained and bella nodded. "yeah, im glad you're here. he was sad last night when brock asked about you. it was even more harder i assume because his parents went to jersey." bella concluded. "oh yeah, that was not a fun conversation to listen to when his mom said they'd be going to jersey again.." daisy sighed. "he puts on a brave face but when he could he definitely spoke his mind. i felt bad already leaving and then ellen told him last minute they weren't coming up and had me searching for new years flights day and night." daisy explained. "that's makes me so sad." bella frowned, to which daisy echoed.

it was around 11 by the time daisy had finished her hair and makeup, which was simple and natural looking. just the way quinn adored it. she felt tingly with butterflies fluttering within her, as she smoothed down her pink strapless dress. "listen girlfriend...damn you look hot!" bella said knocking on the door before walking into he guest bathroom. daisy blushed, "he's not gonna be able to let go of you tonight. trust." bella said making daisy do a twirl for her. "lets get going but first we need to do a shot!" bella exclaimed, pulling her downstairs and into the kitchen of the townhouse. "alright alright." daisy smiled taking the shot of tequila and throwing it down. "damn never gets easier." she said after chewing the lime. "oo." bella echoed that sentiment, as she saw the uber notification go off. "brock sent us an uber, lets get going!" bella said throwing on her jacket with daisy throwing on her's as well.
the two hopped into the uber, and they were on there way to the private and upscale bar the boys had rented a private room in. daisy's leg bounced up and down, and bella took a quick snapchat for brock tagging it with "cargo has been secured". "im so nervous." daisy said and bella smiled, "my mom always says that if you still get butterflies or nerves before seeing the person you love no matter how long you've been apart, that that is something to hold on too. its a good thing. quinn is going to just about die." bella smiled trying to comfort her good friend. daisy nodded, and soon enough they were pulling up to the bar.

the two gave their coats to the hostess who then took the two over to the private group. daisy walked behind bella who was texting brock that they were about to walk in. he texted back saying that quinn was in the corner with a few of the single guys. brock greeted them at the door, and daisy gave him a big hug. "thankyou for keeping him company." she hummed and brock smiled, "ofcourse!" he beamed. elias saw daisy from across the room and grinned and threw two thumbs up to her, which she mimicked. she waved to some of the wags who caught on to what was happening and they all smiled widely.
a zach bryan song was playing on the stereo, and once she caught sight of quinn in the corner, her heart just burst. he looked to be having a good time but seemed quite reserved. brock pushed daisy in front of him, and gave her a bit of a push to get going. she gave him a fake glare, before walking the rest of the way. the guys next to quinn face's lit up once they saw daisy, and then smiled and grinned toward quinn.
quinn was confused when the three guys he was with were grinning or smiling at him, like they knew something he didn't. he looked towards his left, and just stared at the girl who was supposed to be in Boston. his mouth was agape trying to process the situation, and she could only giggle in response.
"wait what?" he asked looking around and seeing the team watching him, before he stood up and wrapped his arms around daisy. daisy felt a sense of relief once his arms wrapped around her.
she'd caught him off guard, she'd gotten him good.
"oh my god - youre here?" he asked pulling away a bit to embrace her, and she only nodded in response. "couldn't ring in the new year without q!" she smiled before he pulled her in for a kiss. which made the guys and wags erupt with cheers. they pulled away, as somebody pushed a drink into daisys hand. "how'd you get here?" he asked, and she pointed to brock and bella. quinn smiled at brock who smiled back, and then he looked back down at daisy.
he wrapped his arms around her again, not believing that she was here.
"youre never letting me leave again, i assume? heard you've been miserable without me." she teased, and he shook his head. "never again. not a chance." he mused before pulling her in for another kiss. he pulled away after a few seconds, "wait! who said i was miserable?" causing daisy to giggle loudly.

Draken immediately rolled his eyes with a small smile on his face and set his mechanics magazine down on the coffee table in front of him.
“Yes, shorty?”
He looked at your attire with a dark eyebrow quirked. “What in the hell are you wearing?”
You just grinned and did a 360° spin to showcase your festive holiday onesie. A sparkly, sequin-covered Santa hat covers your hair, complete with actual blinking Christmas lights.
“Are you ready to put up the Christmas decorations?!”
He looked up at the ceiling as if thinking about it and ran his tongue over the platinum top-row grill.
“No, but you are, so that means that I’m ready by default.”
“Right you are! Now c’mon!”

“Y/N…why is this shit all tangled up?”
His dark eyes darted from the lights on your hat to the tangled mess that you’d set in front of him.
With hands planted firmly on your wide hips, you just glared at him.
“Well, they have just been sitting in the garage inside a random box since last Christmas.”
Ken looked at you standing across the living room with a pile of boxes labeled ‘xmas deco’ sitting at your feet.
“Don’t get smart.”
“Sorry Kenny~but please untangle them so I can hang them up? You know you’re so good with your hands…”
You strutted over to the couch and stood behind it before your hands planted on his strong shoulders.
“Hmm, is that right?” Draken grinned at you from his side profile almost making you melt into a puddle of goo right there.

“Move the ladder just a little to the left, Ken. Right there is good!”
You squealed as your much taller boyfriend situated the ladder underneath the archway in the living room where you were going to string the lights up.
“Go ahead. I'm holding it.”
You hesitated a bit and looked away from him, a sudden wave of embarrassment washing over you. Ken caught onto your change in demeanor quickly.
“What’s the matter?”
“If I go up the ladder with you holding it like that my butt will be in your face.”
It almost hurt for him not to roll his eyes.
“Girl, I grew up in a brothel. You think I’m worried about some ass in my face? Just put the shit up.”
He shook the ladder a bit as if to say ‘get your ass up there’
After you got over yourself, you climbed up the ladder and began stringing the lights up.
Just as you were climbing down, Draken scooped you up and threw you over his shoulder.
“Ken!”
SMACK.
Your butt cheek wobbled from the force he'd put into that smack.
“Hush. You can finish this tomorrow. How about you come and tell me again how good I am with my hands, huh?”
