Benny made something, or at least was okay with a helper, that can progress for itself. House made things that replicate or facilitate an era of the past and don’t hold the power to contest it.

Card tricks, dice rolls, all bets are on the table. The ice in your drink starts to melt, the condensation of your glass dripping into water down the side of it. Aventurine spares it a glance, pushing his own drink towards you. He thinks your friendship will be mutually beneficial, no? He doesn't miss the calm look on your face, and feels off about it. He doesn't show it, but he knows you know something. He knows. And both of you acknowledge the other's realization, between quiet glances.

Compliments your ruffled but expensive get-up, subtly pointing at the weapons holstered on your sides.. you wouldn't dare use that against a friend, would you? And if you did.. how awful, you're just like him, aren't you? He laughs, and it almost reverberates from how silent and empty the entire lounge is. Leans on his arm, turning towards you, and his hand reaches out to tuck a piece of your hair behind your ear, and he leans in again, telling you has an offer that you just can't refuse. His hand lingers on the shell of your ear, grazing down the side of your jaw, all the way to your chin. His signoian eyes stare into yours. Mysterious and calculating, no matter what kind of person you are. Stellaron Hunters always have that "look". Both of you aren't so different, hm? An alliance is only natural. He's sure he can help you and your rag-tag bunch of friends.

Just entertain him for a while longer, will you? Encourages you to tell him more about yourself, shoulder pressing up into yours a bit, as he circles the rim of your drink with his gloved finger. You don't miss the scent of leather and alcohol from him, and he catches a whiff of your perfume. You might become his new, favorite addiction, really..

I will never write bad about Ada, because I like her personality, but I will never see her love with Leon. I really don’t understand why many people think that they are in love, but I’m not going to judge anyone. It’s just hard for me to believe that there is anything there other than mutual sympathy and affection for each other. She used him repeatedly, but Leon knows this and he allows her to do it. Yes, she saves him and helps him, but nevertheless it is beneficial for her too. Yes, I believe that they had short (intimate) dates, but I do not believe that a person like Ada can let someone close enough to really love someone.

I’m not saying that she’s insensitive, I mean that she doesn’t need the very concept of love as such. Leon admires her, he likes her in every sense, but love?..

Of course, everyone has their own concept of love and there are different types of love. However, here I see only attachment to the woman with whom his personal trauma is connected. I always had the feeling that Leon was a kind of puppy who simply tagged along with those he helped in Raccoon City, because he believed that this was his duty.

Perhaps I’m just a supporter of healthy relationships, and therefore my brain denies their “Love”, because it constantly palms off an analysis of these very relationships and I DO NOT SEE REAL LOVE THERE!”

I'm okay with the "It's Complicated" status in their relationship, but I really believe that by giving Leon a healthy, loving partner, and not just a one-night stand, he'll gradually be able to sort out his feelings. I believe that Ada is a woman that he will not be able to forget, but rather because of the traumas and the aura of mystery that Ada surrounds herself with. I've seen similar relationships in real life and they didn't end well.

But everyone decides for themselves. I just wanted to express myself a little. On the other hand, I have an anxious attachment type and I think that someone like me could completely destroy Leon's brain 😂

But this is just a joke. (Which came up in the last text)

In fact, I love Ada (I even ordered perfume!), but for the life of me her relationship with Leon is simply toxic.

A/N: ahh this was just some rambly thoughts about bucky that kinda turned into a fic? i don't love how i ended it so maybe i'll revisit this in a little bit when my computer is fixed but i couldn't resist posting it already because i just. guys i love bucky so much and i just wanna tlk about him all the time. lol. so yeah this is just some bucky fluff that i hope you guys enjoy 💕

That’s what Steve always teased that you and Bucky were, attached at the hip. If you could spend the rest of your life anywhere in the whole world, it would be cradled in Bucky’s left arm, held safely and firmly against his side. It wasn’t a matter of favoritism, you loved your daddy just as dearly as your Baba, and you were always eager and excited for hugs and kisses from the great Captain America. You and Bucky had a deep bond just between the two of you, one that Steve respected and understood, and being constantly held was mutually beneficial for that bond: you were always able to be soothed and cared for whenever your heart desired it, and Bucky was persistently reminded that he was loved, safe, and doing good by you. 

Plus, it helped that his metal arm never, ever got tired. 

That’s how you found yourself now, cradled into Bucky’s side and perched upon his muscular thigh in the Avengers compound briefing room. Usually when a meeting was called, you’d be left with whichever caregiver didn’t have to attend that day, or you got to go to daycare if both were recruited that day. This time, however, you were still fast asleep on Bucky’s chest where you’d decided to take your nap that day when he got the meeting alert. Steve was off that day and offered to take care of you while Bucky was busy, but the thought of rousing you from your most peaceful state made both their hearts ache, so along you came. 

Coos of adoration had echoed through the meeting room when Bucky entered with you, but he politely shushed his coworkers. The goal was to keep you asleep for as much of the meeting as possible, knowing that as soon as you woke up you’d want a bottle, and that waking up in a strange room would probably send you into a tantrum anyways. Fortunately, with Bucky’s enhanced hearing, he was able to sit in the far back of the room with you and still hear everything being said. 

The change in location from the couch all the way to the briefing room only caused you to stir the tiniest bit, Bucky’s even breaths keeping you rooted in your slumber as the meeting commenced. At one point, Thor let out a raucous laugh, and you seemed to react in your sleep, flexing your fingers at the sound of your friend, but not even the excitement at the thought of playtime could outweigh the comfort you felt in Bucky’s arms. He ran his right hand across your back, soothing you back into dreamland for the rest of the meeting, and you only finally awoke as everybody was saying their goodbyes and Bucky stood up to leave.

Maybe it was because you’d already napped for over two hours, maybe it was the shift of energy in the room as all the Avengers were now free to shake off work mode and socialize with each other. You lifted your heavy head from Bucky’s shoulder and blearily looked around, half open eyes taking in the fact that you were not at home and instead in an area of the compound you rarely had reason to visit. Seeing all your Avenger friends together in this location, you put two and two together, grabbing tightly onto Bucky’s shirt as you looked up at him with worry. 

“Baba gotta go to a meeting now?” You asked, still fragile from your nap and not wanting to give up the comfort of your caretaker’s embrace. But Bucky only chuckled. 

“Doll, I already went to the meeting, you slept through it!”

“I did?” You questioned with genuine surprise, in disbelief that you’d done such a thing.

“Sure did, angel. Did you have a good nap?” “Uh huh!” You nodded. “I had a dream… I was playin’ wif Thor.” 

You smiled to yourself, recalling the way you’d heard him laugh even in your slumber. 

Part of why I ship Charlastor over Chaggie other than how one has more chemistry over the other, is that with Charlastor... I can literally see the building blocks for them to be a ship.

Like as Alastor helps Charlie with the Hotel and sees more of her, he would start to slowly fall for her. And it could also be that type of dynamic where they teach each other something.

Alastor teaches Charlie to embrace her power as the Princess of Hell and how to use it to it's full potential, while Charlie teaches him how to be a more decent person and let people in to help him.

Yessss

Though I have to admit that my favorite flavor of Charlastor is the one where Alastor doesn't even really change as a person, Charlie just becomes the sole exception to his personal rules and she embraces him completely for who he is 😩👌

Everything nice he does as a result would be exclusively for Charlie's benefit then if not for his own.

I also think it's a fun way to challenge Charlie's biased belief system of "everyone deserves a second chance and is capable of being better" by making her fall in love with someone who's an unapologetic, violent asshole to everyone but her but will behave if she asked it of him, who makes her feel loved, important and powerful like nobody else has ever managed to and has a genuine desire to help her in any way he can - including all of the immoral and fucked up ways.

I also love me some Alastor who's internally at war with himself - on one hand being in love with Charlie hasn't changed him as a person and she truly embraces him for all he is, but he still finds himself unable to ignore how she'd feel about certain actions and is desperate for her approval and attention, so she's still inadvertently influencing him and reduces the amount of violent urges he acts on by just being someone whose opinion he gives a shit about.

He both loves and hates it, she's his weakness and his greatest strength, his inspiration and muse and the bane of his fucking existence. He would move mountains, obliterate cities and fight god with his bare fucking hands for her if she asked him nicely, but she won't because she's a reasonable and sweet person who worries for his safety and wellbeing.

She's self-sacrificial and recklessly giving, but he's there to ground and catch her when she flies too close to the sun and will happily execute her will wherever she falls short.

In turn she keeps him sane, gives him something to genuinely want to fight for, someone to come home to without tying him down... She's love and light and goodness he never thought himself to be deserving of

Like. I know a lot of us will happily indulge in all the ways these two would be toxic for each other, but I also deeply adore their potential to be such a mutually beneficial, healthy relationship, much to the surprise of everyone at the hotel, including themselves!
