While watching the new demon slayer season, the part with Muichirou's back story 🥺😭

But just for a moment when the perspective changed I was confused whether it was Muichirou or Yuichirou who survived.

It got cleared obviously but just imagine, what if it was Yuichirou who survived after all. The shift in his personality was not caused by his amnesia but because that is who he was. What if the idea of losing his brother was so painful that his brain convinced him that Muichirou is the one who lived and he had died. He clearly believed that he did not deserve to survive but Muichirou did and the idea of the opposite was so unfathomable that only way he could ever continue living was if he believed that it was Muichirou who had made it. :"")
