There’s something in the way you simply exist that makes Sebek want to serve you.

He’s well aware the feeling is blasphemous, that he should be focusing all the energy he spends on you on Malleus, but he can’t help it. He finds his mind wandering to you every time he sees people talking and laughing, wondering if he could possibly come up with a jab or jest funny enough for you to laugh like that towards him. He finds himself contemplating what he did in training that day and wondering if you’d be proud, despite never once dwelling on those trivial tasks before.

There’s a sparkle in Master Lilia’s eye when he sees you run up, calling out Sebek’s name. Sebek waits for permission from Lilia to go and see you (and Lilia won’t tell him this, but Sebek looks so pleading when he does that.)

Sebek straightens his back and smiles (in the condensing smirk only Sebek would use to express such an emotion) as he makes his way over to you. You smile back, carrying a brown paper back and with his name and a smiley face written on it.

“I brought you snacks.” you hand him the bag, “Sorry it wasn’t super fancy...Grim insisted on using the box I usually use for your snacks for his lunch today. Also it’s not Salmon carpaccio but I hope you think it's good anyway—”

“Human! Stop your incessant chattering!” Sebek booms, taking the bag from you, “I am...thankful! For your...pitiful excuse of an offering!”

“Say thank you properly!” you huff, pinching his cheek, “You need to learn that you can’t keep treating me like that just because I’m human!”

“They’re right, you know.” Silver mumbles, offering you a smile in greeting, “Thank you for taking care of Sebek. He was whining earlier because he wasn’t sure if you’d show up.”

“I was not whining!” Sebek yells, face turning red, “Be quiet, Silver!”

“Aww, don’t worry Sebek! I’ll be here whenever you need me.” you tease, your lips splitting into a wide grin, “If you miss me just give me a call, okay darling?”

“Whuph?!” Sebek jerks backward, face flaming, “Do not call me darling! You—! You infernal—!”

“Cutiepie?” you flutter your lashes, and Sebek’s state only becomes worse.

pt XII good omens sEAsOn 2 (the non-traumatic part) episode 1

Alright yes I know, I know, it's been two days since the livestream. I was reading fanfiction. Don't blame me, love made me crazy, and all that. I'm enjoying myself as much as I can before we get to the season 2 finale. But here we go, season 2, episode one, maggots:

[on reading this back after finishing, a lot of text is my being in love with Crowley. mainly, points 3, 4, 9, 14, 17, 18, yes I have issues, feel free to skip that for an absolutely concise and precise summary]

Before the livestream starts, everyone decides that there will be no spoilers whatsoever on the chat, even hidden with the black, because I have a tendency to keep clicking and revealing them. I'm sorry, temptation and all. I have emotional support fruit, an apple, two kiwis, two sapotes and two bananas.

When the livestream starts, it has to be restarted, because I am an incompetent nincompoop and have somehow managed to muck up my settings. And it is absolutely imperative that I watch the opening scene.

So then I do. And immediately have to consume my emotional support apple because I am so fucking in love with Crowley. Already? someone asks. Yes bloody already, I need that apple.

Thanks, guys. I'm broken. Crowley. Just. She looks so peaceful and untraumatised, so delighted with the plans, so full of wonder at what she's creating. Let there be light, she says, and rather than seeing Crowley turn off a streetlight with a flick of his fingers, we get to see her create nebulas. Aziraphale looks at her and he's just instantly so spellbound, and who would bloody blame him? His wings just do a slight dip of realisation that he's fucked when Crowley says the gorgeous line. Look at Crowley. Worried about the apocalypse. Smiling at Aziraphale, and we can see Azi's concern because something as pure as that has to be protected and Aziraphale knows what Heaven will do to Crowley if she dares to ask questions. Crowley is angelic and filled with light and Aziraphale sees that and tries to keep her safe with his words.

Hey spoiler alert, it doesn't work, Crowley's wings are greying even as she protects Azi and Crowley falls and I hate everything and I am filled with unbridled rage.

UNDERSTAND? RAGE.

I am speculating how much pain and torture Crowley went through when she fell into Hell that first time. I am told to not ask questions I don't want answers to.

Maggie sells records, Aziraphale is a cutiepie, and Maggie is very gay for Nina.

Crowley is lounging on a park bench, suit and skinny tie, just being all sexy and demonic and probably contemplating nihilism.

Crowley spreads awareness about duck health. No bread, guys. Frozen peas. He also angsts a lot to Shax (whom I keep mixing up with Michael) about the meaning of life. Someone points out that this is very Barbie of him. "do you ever think about death". Ah, Crowley.

More lesbians gaying. I would kill for Nina's hair.

JIMBRIEL IN THE HOUSE. I WON'T SAY ANYMORE ABOUT HIS ENTRANCE BECAUSE THIS IS NOW A TOPIC OF CONTROVERSY. BUT JIMBRIEL IN THE HOUSE.

Aziraphale, ah I love him, absolutely fucking panics and has the loading symbol over his angelic little head at all times. FINALLY, THIS SHOW IS A COMEDY.

Crowley is leaning on his Bentley and mmmmhm his arms and his lounging and his personality I am back to crunching on my temptation emotional support apple.

Sorry back to the summary. Jim finds Aziraphale funny and says he loves him. Someone points out that this was the fandom upon encountering my dumbass self. "You're funny Asmi we love you."

Aziraphale is a little bitchy babygirl, really just enough of a bastard to be worth knowing. Just absolutely slaying through every Jimbriel scene. 100000/10.

Six shots of fucking espresso in a big cup. Crowley, I love you. Can I love Crowley any more than this? Yes I can. My love for Crowley is like the universe, infinite and yet ever-expanding, explosive with entropy.

Crowley holds the door open for Aziraphale and holds his plate and honestly what absolute husband (gn) behaviour.

CROWLEY MEETS JIMBRIEL WHO IS FUCKING DUSTING AND LEAPS BACKWARD AND JUST RELIVES TRAUMA WHILE JIM IS CHILLING AND AZIRAPHALE IS STILL GAY PANICKING. I LOVE THIS SHOW.

MARRIAGE QUARRELS ABOUT ADOPTING JIM, JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE FELL-CROWLEY HOUSEHOLD.

▫️Usually he’s not very possessive about his belongings or rather he doesn’t care that much about it. People annoy him and surely get on his nerves but he never expressed jealousy outwards. Some may think he’s jealous of more powerful people which isn’t wrong. When he met you his whole life changed though.

▫️He’s possessive but not in a bad way. You’re the only one that achieved to crawl through his emotions, to reach his soft spots which nobody else ever discovered. Luckily he treasures you enough to care enough. In risky situations he’s there for your safety and he’ll care for every need. You’re his only peaceful place in this world. Of course he will be jealous. He wouldn’t know what to do without his world.

▫️Whenever you’re some meters away, talking to others he gets worried immediately. How will these people treat you? Normally he'd hang around trying to be inconspicuous. If a man ever intends to touch you, he will take action.

▫️Of course he won't be too violent in front of you. Blade didn't know how to handle you being too scared of him and he's actually very afraid you'll turn away one day. A very strong grab on the suspects wrist is a warning sign that usually lasts forever in this person's head.

▫️Blade isn't jealous when men or women glaze upon you, smile at you because he is well aware of your beauty and how wonderful you are. It rather makes him proud to be the only one who sees you at your most vulnerable state.

▫️Even though he's a prideful man when it comes to you, no one except maybe the closest people to you are able to touch you. Or... Rather allowed. He will tolerate your dearest friends and family but not any finger who is just a bystander. He always has his arm wrapped around your waist or has a hand on your shoulder. His grip is strong but protective. The weight of his hands and arms calm you down but you immediately notice when he turns nervous.

▫️If a situation comes up where you tell him to back off, hell scoff silently and walk away. That feels like a rejection and he'll disappear. You won't find him until the late evening when he sneaks into the bed. Blade is uncomfortable with others being so close - closer than him. He never told you but this man is hurting inside when you distance yourself for another person.

▫️It's guaranteed he'll never break that to you and maybe you won't ever find out. Be sure he's bothered when he lays down beside you, his back facing you. Even an apology might not soften him up. He'll act like he doesn't care, he definitely does though.

▫️You're glad he's jealous at times when uncomfortable encounters are prevented but sometimes you just want to get to know new people. He slowly has to learn you're not in a cage which is hard. He's been neglected or... Well, he's been the villain all the time. He doesn't get to know new people and if he does it's not very peaceful.

You were in a bar since you felt a little disconnected to society lately. Blade didn't want to go there but tagged along since he knows what douchebags will be there. You were glad he was with you but you knew he was uncomfortable the first second you stepped into the pub. He sat down in a corner with you, grumming silently and having you on his side.

"Y/n, isn't that a friend of yours?" His long fingers pointed at a girl who was with a few men and some other girls. You nodded. You haven't seen her in months. In a hesitant manner you looked at him. As an apology for going over you kissed his cheek.

"Is it okay?"

"Sure." He didn't look at you. Blade fidgeted with a coin and looked at it. You knew he was a little hurt but you craved some cheerful people.

"Okay. I'll be back in ten minutes." You gave him another kiss on the cheek and walked up to your friends. His eyes looked up on an instant when he heard a hello from the other side. His dark demeanor watched the situation evolving. He noticed one of the guys was drunk.

While you enjoyed talking to your friend he watched you and all the new faces were refreshing. You were by far the most beautiful individual and his eyes were stuck on you. Suddenly the drunk man you never met before wanted to touch you; to be specific he wanted to wrap his arms around your waist.

In a flash your boyfriend stood behind him. You saw the hatred in his eyes, the desire to kill, the disgust of others. Blade grabbed his shoulder and shoved him meters away with only one swing. His red eyes glowed in a gloomy shine. "Never touch y/n without my permission." The words he spoke were cold. He was cold.

"We're going, y/n." He then said a little softer but still filled with rage. You swallowed and nodded. You were in shock this man wanted to grab you as his treasure and you were surprised by the fast reaction of your boyfriend. You were glad he was there.

"I'm sorry guys, we're leaving.." You said a little ashamed to the others but they apologized for the bad behavior their friend expressed. You played it off as your boyfriend behind you glared at them as a warning. Then you turned around taking Blade's hand and left.

"You were too harsh..."

"And you weren't on guard." He muffled and looked away but his grip got comfortably stronger. It was enough to tell you he loves you.

"Thank you..." You blushed a little, walking home in the light of the moon. It would be still a long night and both of you knew.

When you looked up at him you witnessed a soft red tone over the face of Blade.

Should probably elaborate on my hc/story for these two heheh

So first off I should say one of my hcs I don't think I talk much is my hc on how the cult brings out people's passions, hobbies, or jobs and makes them into murderous obsessions— (ex: Bob was a butcher, now he's a murderous cannibal obsessed with meat, Dexter—assuming he's part of the cult— was just an exterminator, and now he's obsessed with killing the things he exterminates or else he goes insane, and my hc for Ignacio is that he was a little bit of a pyromaniac and now he's a full on arsonist—)

Also because of the cult, Bob is now partly a demon who craves flesh. Which is largely why is he the way he is (Ignacio is also part fire elemental but this ain't about him fr-)

He's trying to be better— or at least as normal as he can be. And he decided to do it with the help of the only person in town who doesn't care enough to be phased by anything—

That's not to say that Rick doesn't care if Bob hurts anyone— he does. And he'll be mad if he turns back to that. But with all the shit he's seen in this fucked up town, he can't fault the only person he's seen bother to get better

Bob's been doing good! He still comes off creepy as shit, but he hasn't harmed anyone!! Bro is fighting demons and winning!!!

Bob's horns and tail are real and can grow and retract. He can control it, but it's also fueled by emotion sometimes

As seen above, his tail can wag when he's happy or excited

Bob and Rick both like cooking! Bob is more into cooking and grilling, and Rick is more into baking. But together? Shits going DOWN at the cook out. You best BELIEVE that shit DELICIOUS.

Speaking of cooking, Bob's favorite thing to prepare are pulled pork sandwiches (Rick questions his use of pork)

Rick's favorite thing to make are cinnamon rolls.

Bob's nicknames for Rick include: Teddy Bear, Cupcake, Cutiepie, etc (he is... SO cheesy.)

Rick's nicknames for Bob include: Big guy, muffin, and then from there on the generic terms of endearment, because he gets easily embarrassed

If they're watching TV together, they're either watching cooking shows, cartoons, or slashers

They're both autistic bc I said so. Bob info dumps about cooking and human anatomy, and Rick info dumps on baking and Garfield (and the Happy Fella show, if he's feeling brave,)

Hello, I saw all the people giving comments and requests about them. I would like to request the pairing of HSR with the men in the game, the women are cute but I see them all in a platonic way here

I went off the rails... Your opinion about my relationship with any of the HSR men, please do not feel pressured by the request

I'm a human, the term gender is too confusing and ambiguous for me, so I just got used to calling myself a woman because that's how I was born. My MBTI is INTJ, I tried to get my enneagram but I got bored and never tried again to tell you the truth.

My height is quite short for my age, usually people have taken up to 4 years off me, approximately 1.56 meters (I have no idea how much that is in feet) and something similar really happens with my voice and general appearance, I usually wear a lot of pink and pastel colors. My favorite color it's pink, red, purple and white

My personality is usually quite calm, I like to listen to others and sometimes say a controversial comment for the mere pleasure of listening to others debate with fervor. Listening to their reasoning usually says a lot about them, more than any presentation would. For the same reason, I tend to be quite assertive, if someone feels slightly different than usual, I have probably already noticed and tell that person's friends so that they can take care of it, I don't like to be very nosy with the rest, the vast majority don't talk to me and starting to talk to them because of their change in behavior can scare them and leave them on the defensive.

I tend to understand people quite quickly on that side, their emotions are easy to see even with less wrinkled skin, their tone of voice and words give it away instantly.

Outside of my problem of analyzing the social behavior around me... I usually stay in my storybook or my phone all day with headphones on, if my friends don't talk to me I can spend hours reading Andersen stories (Hans Christian Andersen, his stories are my entire existence💕), I usually listen to my friends calmly talk about their hobbies or problems, they usually tell me that I look like a loving mother

When I'm at home I like to cook, clean, organize purchases and play video games on my PC... A housewife practically, When I grow up I would like to take full charge of my home, even without a partner, filling my home with my emotions and experiences seems beautiful to me (I once said that to my best friend, and he said "Like my grandma" in the most neutral voice possible, sigh sigh)

I like to read, write short stories or the beginnings of novels, play with my cats and place a cardboard box inside my head to relieve the sensory load of the day.

Hyperfixation? Cardboard boxes, cats, cannibalism, criminal cases and metaphors

I just wrote a lot, sorry for some misused words or strange phrases, I have a hard time with English and Spanish is actually my first language

you heaved a sigh, listening your husband, the almighty byakuya togami, insulting one of his new servants for *accidentally* spilling some champagne on his top. you were just waiting for togami to finish his whole dramatic scene and tried not to think about the havoc going on right next to you. at least he wasn't yelling at the servant.

well since you've heard byakuya throw spiteful comments at servants several times, you knew how long this would go on for. your mind was protesting you tell togami to stop being such a bratty bitch despite already knowing the result you'll receive. "s/o. this is my business, stay out of it,". you've heard it thousands of times, and you don't want to hear it ever again.

you were zoned out until you heard those words. "you know what? you're fired, get out of my face you plebian," you turned to look to your side, only to see byakuya shooing the servant away. it looked like she was crying, too.

even though this was normal on his part, it definitely wasn't anything good on yours. how heartless of him to just send someone away for an accident and start casually sipping your coffee, right next to your partner too.

"hey dude, that wasn't cool. she was apologizing, you didn't HAVE to fire her... plus you could just wash the champagne out," you said, in your calmest demeanour. "she deserved it. what am i even paying her for if she's just going to ruin my belongings," wow. way to go. "just because you think she and almost everyone are under you doesn't mean you can treat them like trash!" byakuya set his coffee down and turned to you, giving you that all-so familiar leave-me-alone face. "if you want to side with her, how about you go chase after her and go apologize for your husband's behavior since he doesn't want to,"

"well maybe i will- and leave your hellhole of a mansion!" you got up and stormed away to your room. byakuya just shrugged and continued with his extra black and bitter coffee, you'd get over it and wear yourself out eventually.

after locking the door, you flopped onto your queen-sized bed and buried your face into the fluffy pillow, unable to tell if you wanted scream, cry or both. well, your hunger kept you distracted from your emotions... and your emotions kept you distracted from your hunger. you were tempted to grab something to eat, but you didn't want to see your husband's face right now.

you woke up to the sound of banging on your door. this... wasn't your room, were you even in byakuya's mansion anymore? it wouldn't be possible that he'd drugged you since you never ate or drank anything nor would it be possible that he or his workers carried you elsewhere as you were a light sleeper.

your thoughts were interrupted by screaming and crying. there was a painful silence before you heard something being thrown across the room and a cry before everything turned silent again.

scanning your surrondings, you immediately realize this was your old room when your eyes met a picture of you, your mom and your dad. you knew what was happening behind the door of your "room". not wanting to see or find out if your theories were true, you hid under your ragged blankets, trying to fall asleep again, hoping this was all just a bad dream.

your eyes flew open as you gasped, sitting up from your bed. your actual bed. it was all just a nightmare. a flashback. after a while, somebody started softly knocking on your door. you hated yourself at that moment for hoping it was byakuya just coming to check on you or something.

getting up to unlock the door, you passed your vanity mirror and saw you were pale, sweating and shaking. grabbing the door handle, you used all the strength you had to pull it open, revealing who you'd hope to be behind the door. your husband. "byakuya-!" you jumped onto him to hug him.

"yeah yeah, hi. i just came here to apologize for... this morning," he hugged back, with his same disgusted face. you knew he's just like that whenever he received affection, though. "so, what happened- you're all sweaty and stuff," he gently pushed you away and folded his arms, looking down (or up if you're somehow taller than daddy long legs) at you.

"it's nothing, just a bad dream," with him around, yea, you felt better, but to say you've recovered fast would be an understatement. "hm. alright," he gave you a suspicious look before turning back to where his room was, but not before announcing something you've been wanting to hear for so long. "also, since you wanted to, we're going to disneyland."

ARRIII i've watched hidden inventory and by request... am here to let you know my thoughts!!

first of all. i had no idea that it opened with suguru's monologue on exorcising curses... the weariness in his voice physically hurts me. the pacing and structure of this arc was so beautiful though! season 1 felt a little slow at times but the way everything is set up... hooh...

it's hard for me to put my thoughts into words but, hidden inventory truly was nothing short of tragic, i love how they absolutely Had to put a montage of all their happiness together before brutally shattering lol... riko's death scene was so painful though... i've seen it at least a few dozen times, but i haven't seen her backstory/joyous moments leading right up to it and just, everything disappearing in front of both of their eyes, suguru's shock and being frozen in place... she deserved so much better. she truly is the little sister of all time, i have no idea how people send her so much hate :( she's so pure-hearted and a cutie patootie (also adore her design). i'm glad they at least got to go the churaumi aquarium that suguru did so much research on!

episode 5 is . Yeah. it sucked balls. he is so beautiful though el oh el... just watching him fall into that dark pit... he's a little too easy to understand (we have much in common.. sigh). what i really didn't expect though was the scene where he massacres the village. again, i've seen it before but just... watching it the way it was intended, with the events and emotional turmoil leading to that final decision makes it all the more painful and just... his expression and the sound design at that part was absolutely Woah. they definitely portrayed his moral struggles in a way that viewers can sympathize with! the shower scene... i can go on forever but it's really heartbreaking how much trauma he had to go through for the sake of others, and it's portrayed in a way that even the viewers can miss, like the sound of the shower and the rain on the windows.

and i'm glad we got to see suguru's nature before the defection...! even though to me, a lot of his core traits are still the same. he just changed the direction of his morals and life goals. he's still full of love and a protector to the core. we miss you happy teen geto... that being said the the animators did an amazing job at portraying all the despair in his heart! truly have not seen anime on this level before. i'm very honored to have been able to watch it and then discuss with you :D

also i love how obnoxious satoru is like... truly the duo of All time. he's so cutiepie to me and it my heart aches when i remember how little we've seen them together, happy, and how they've clung onto their memories and love for each other after all this time. 🌖

AND RIKO’S DEATHHHHHH THEY DID IT SO MUCH JUSTICE . i will never not be insane about the fucking PAUSE after she gets shot . the slow, slow seconds ticking by with only silence as suguru processes what just happened. and obviously the shot too :/// it’s so sudden and jarring….. I LOVE RIKO SO MUCH TOOOO SHE’S THE CUTEST LITTLE SISTER EVER :(((((( thankfully i haven’t encountered many riko haters myself but. it’s so ironic/telling that people dislike her as if she isn’t the most obvious parallel to satoru ever 😭😭 i adore them both…. i’m happy they got those tiny peaceful moments before the tragedy too :’3

AND EPISODE 5 . EPISODE 5. sorry 🌖 anon i’m abt to ramble i think…… ep 5 my absolute BELOVED ever ever ever :333 IT RLLY DOES SUCK HUH. his spiral is so sickening because it really is so grounded !!!! it was partially because of outside trauma and events but also a slow internal deterioration…. definitely one of the most realistic anime fall from grace plots i’ve seen . AND I’M SOO HAPPY YOU MENTIONED THE SOUND DESIGN!!!! THE CLAPPING!!!!!! MIXING WITH THE RAIN AND SHOWER!!!!!!! it’s so GOOD. some of my fav jjk osts are in that episode too …… arrogance and premature………. they’re all so good ……. ANDD THE VILLAGE SCENE 😵��💫😵‍💫 they did that so wonderfully…… it’s so intense!! and the colours!!!!

ALSOOOO THE SYMBOLISM OF THAT SCENE. the two candles…. suguru’s two shadows symbolizing his two choices……. and then one candle burns out . and he makes his choice. the symbolism in his conversation with yuki drives me insane every single time too…. the fact that she tells him his choices — to give in to his hatred or fight against it — while pointing in two different directions…. an emergency exit, and a dark hallway with no end in sight . it’s just so clever.

AH I ALSO NEED TO MENTION THE ANIMATION. i LOVE LOVE LOVE the animation in ep 5……. especially that final scene with cult leader geto…… i’m fairlyyyy sure the animator for csm ep 8 worked on it?? at least it looks that way 😭 and that style is one of my favs so . i was eating so good…… a painful episode but just so masterfully made phewwwwww

ANDDD I AGREE . suguru never truly changes at his core!!!! he’s always been selfish, he’s always been defined by love/devotion, and he’s always been a protector . :(((( i think it’s sooo telling that his ideology never really changes — whether he’s a teenager or a cult leader, he dedicates himself to protecting those who are most exploited in his eyes. i think it’s important to remember that non-sorcerers are a minority!! and suguru didn’t understand how badly they could be harrassed by sorcerers until he saw it himself…….. he really is a protector at his heart :’3

More headcanons [c!s only, no cc!s]

Mumbo can't do math for shit, both because dyscalculia and because trial by fire is much more entertaining. Everything he knows about redstone has come from fucking around and finding out. Will the comparator detect this signal from the skulk sensor? Yes. Why? Fuck if he knows. He's spent a lot of time in and around the Deep Dark recently. Wardens, if approached slowly, are surprisingly soft and like to cuddle. They don't understand the low stress threshold of human ribs, however. He keeps having problems because Wardens are clingy, and they cry when he leaves, and when other people cry he starts crying, so his nights usually end up with him stumbling into his vault, sleep-deprived and on the brink of tears, holding the remains of some redstone project to his chest. Grian is slightly worried. He's created another shrine.

Pearl has a Jimmy shrine. For the bit. Sausage has considered searching for it for his Lore.

Scar is actually an incredible fighter, but his general discombobulation is so convincing of his ineptitude that no one trusts him to do shit without falling flat on his face. He's like a sleeper agent.

Etho's mask started as an inside joke during Mindcrack, when he showed up with a cold and wore a medical mask, and Bdubs kept calling him "cutiepie" with the mask on. This is a 15-year bit. The commitment is unreal. Bdubs doesn't even remember why Etho wears a mask. It's a self-contained bit. This man is insane.

I've mentioned this before. False eats raw eggs for the protein. She keeps the shell on. She says the shell adds texture. She doesn't like cooked eggs, actually. Her breakfast consists of protein-powder oatmeal and raw eggs with the fucking shell on. She doesn't drink tea, coffee, or anything with caffeine. She is rawdogging life like no one else.

Doc has formed an incidental emotional attachment to several eggs that a bird laid on the roof of his base. Creepers don't fuck around with eggs. Grian has caught him sitting up there, avidly speaking to them about his plans for the Perimiter, and moved on with that "What the fuck, Doc" look on his face. Doc also regularly sneaks soft blankets up to his roof to wrap the eggs and protect them. He gets extremely nervous when other people enter the base, in case they harm the eggs. There's a betting pool on what he's hiding and when the server will explode. X knows about the eggs. He started the betting pool. Doc has a stake in it.

When Beef was younger, someone told him he didn't sound Canadian enough, so he started emphasizing his accent. His voice is stuck this way now. It's like a long-term bit with unconsentual commitment. Goddamn Canadian man. He likes black licorice.

Tango has built a secret room into DO2 that contains a dinner table, fake candles, and cardboard cutouts of the cast of Friends. Zed has located this room. He's afraid to ask about it.

Zedaph doesn't like waffles. He's vegetarian, but only because Impulse dared him to be. He eats raw eggs with False for the bit. She's not joking.

False drinks oat milk. I cannot emphasize this enough. What is wrong with her./lh

Ren decided that their weekly meetings were too boring, so they now have a weekly segment of whatever he wants to present to them. At one point, Joe did a presentation on the most effective way to create presentations. There's a lot of Star Wars. Sometimes there are musical segments. One time, (emphasis on one time; it'll never happen again. The event has become legendary at this point.) he convinced X to do karaoke. X is the Dancing Queen. While his vocal register doesn’t quite reach that of ABBA, he put his entire xisussy into it and the performance was sick as fuck.

Impulse can't dance. He's tried.

Pearl can breakdance. It is terrifying and enormously impressive.

Scar knits.

Iskall and Mumbo have a thing where they have to do the sickest dap every time they see each other. It’s getting painful. Mumbo's pretty sure one of his finger bones cracked last time. They always try once, fail and do the "LOOK AT MY ELBOW. RIGHT HERE. NINETY DEGREES." spiel. Mumbo has to fix his musache afterwards from the fucking shockwave of incredible dappage.

Whenever Etho enters a room, Iskall yells "YEAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! CANADAAAAAA!". Etho is amused, but won't admit it.

All of the non-Americans make up random shit to confuse the Americans. Etho claims you have to remove your shoes when you enter a room, per Canadian tradition. Stress insists that it’s insulting to English people to not dock your chair after you’re done eating. Doc nods respectfully to the geese that live in the Perimeter. Mumbo and Grian make up British words. Keralis makes innuendos. It’s unrelated to his birthplace, but worth mentioning. Iskall has a closet full of an impressive variety of brooms that he chooses from according to occasion, as per a fake Swedish tradition.

Impulse cooks with olive oil, not butter.

Ren cooks with butter, not oil.

False rawdoggs the pan and uses nothing. It’s a non-stick pan, she says. It’s fine, she says. It’s not like she’s cooking eggs on it anyways, she says.

Doc blasts music when he’s working. He sings along enthusiastically, loudly, and poorly. It startles the birds in the Perimeter, but is extremely endearing.

Mumbo listens to music in his earbuds while he’s working. If you startle him, he will scream like a small cornered animal.

Grian almost never sleeps in his base. He has little nests hidden across the server like a hornet, as well as regular spots in the shopping district, on various roofs, in Scarland, and inside Mumbo’s vault.

Gem makes eyeliner out of various types of fungus.

Cub is almost singularly responsible for the phantom lag issues on the server. During season 8, the sheer volume of phantoms following him was enough to trigger a lag hotspot nearly as slow as Boatem’s. His sleep schedule is absolutely fucked. If you want to collaborate with him, usually it’s in the dead of night, like two to four am. He also goes on walks at night, when he wakes up. If you see a dark shape lingering at the edge of the woods, slowly approaching you, it’s probably a sleepy Cubfan looking for more coffee.

One time Ren and Skizz (ik he’s not a hermit but he’s got hutzpah, alr?) got into a call after a Life series session. So many variations of “dude” and “man” were used, their conversation became nearly incomprehensible to everyone around them.

i need to clarify that this is ONLY based on the episodes i have currently fully watched, which is everything up until hell money. there are quite a few later eps i've seen bits and pieces from, but i don't think i can pass a full judgement on any of them yet because again, it's mostly just been bits and pieces. (except for redux ii, which i... have seen most of. and do adore as both an episode and a scully episode. i love emotional pain)

top scully episodes up through 3.19:

"beyond the sea" (1.13) is i think probably going to be the only episode i will be unable to rewatch, because my relationship to grief is a lot different now than when i first watched it, but it captures the inherent contradictions of scully so well. she's a medical doctor with a bs in physics practicing forensic pathology. she's a fully qualified fbi agent who's escaped death multiple times. she's a lonely young woman falling in love with her partner. she's a devout darwinist. she's a skeptical catholic. she's starbuck, doomed to devote herself to a mad captain. she's just a little girl who loves her dad

"pusher" (3.17) JUST for the russian roulette scene. those like seven minutes are the thesis of the ENTIRE series

i have to go with "pilot" (1.01)... cutiepie...

and i'll give a tie between "clyde bruckman's final repose" (3.04) and "war of the coprophages" (3.12). all hail darin morgan. i love that clyde bruckman really shows her compassion and shakes her skeptic foundations a bit, and war of the coprophages just makes me giggle. she was so hell-bent on staying put in her house eating ice cream out of the carton and giving queequeg a bubble bath UNTIL mulder mentioned dr. berenbaum and then she immediately started PACKING. i love her so much

my bonus here is the anasazi three-parter, because it's really the first set of episodes in the mytharc when scully starts to get some proper agency (even if it was at the expense of missy, rip). i also love how often she accuses poor skinner of trying to kill them with absolutely NOTHING to back this claim up. she's more paranoid than mulder is i'm obsessed with her

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Spoilers beneath the cut

Hey hey y’all- update that was meant to come out over the weekend but then I got busy so here it is now :D

Right now I’ve beaten 4 gyms, 3 Titans, and 3 Star bosses :D The progress is slow but it’s being made!

Starting with the gyms- can we talk about Iono? IONO!!! She’s so freaking cute!!!! I love her little shark teeth and the Magnemite buns are super stylish! I didn’t know how I was gonna feel about her at first but she stole my heart right off the bat with her personality! Also the shark teeth- THE SHARK TEETH!!! Ler energy just saying.

KOFU!!! He’s so jolly and sweet- I love how he books it across the entire dessert for some fresh ingredients! Another one I didn’t know how I was gonna feel about but the minute he came on screen it was love at first sight! His battle was really fun too, and I love how he interacts with the entire town around him!

I just want to hug him! He looks like he’d give great bear hugs.

Onto Team Star- I beat Atticus and Giacomo and let me tell you-

This guy? Atticus? He is my son now- I love him with my entire heart and soul. He’s eccentric and good at creating costumes and outfits he’s a good kid all around (even if he made Mela’s boots so big she has to kick her legs out in front of her to move) (Really all the Star Boss kids are my children but this is when I realized it)

As for Giacomo- he wasn’t hard to beat. I was a bit surprised at how far out he is from the school yet he’s supposed to be the “first” fight. Like- he has one Pokemon besides his car- and even then it was level 20 while my team was already level 37. It was a fast fight but I still liked him as a character :D

And of course- we can’t have a Pokemon update without Arven. He’s great as always! I love how emotional he gets whenever his Pokemon starts to heal- it really warms my heart. Plus he’s just a cutiepie all the way through!

No idea what he meant by that but it made me laugh really hard jlarjeakrjaer Just- what???

And yeah- that’s what’s going on with me! My teams getting stronger (Just caught a Swablu and a Todescool- they’ll be trained up in no time) and I’m aiming for the air titan next! :D After that- the Normal Gym is on!

Of all the Knights and Pawns revelations, this one is the most hurtful. By far. Punishing your own spouse—after you have raped them, with your own children only rooms away, because they didn’t forgive you the next day—by fucking someone else. Just. OMG. That’s so terrible on every way. Drunk or not that’s not the point; that’s the excuse for being so incredibly, disgustingly vindictive. Then, after, keeping the cheating hush hush for several years, and having your spouse—who by then has forgiven you, given you two more beautiful kids, and still continues to love you—find out by having someone else, an outsider, tell them at a funeral. Out of the blue. So now, another person knows, so now there’s embarrassment and shame too that this domestic issue is known outside of the family.

I don’t think there are words enough for how disgusting and foul and most of all—incredibly cruel and deeply abusive—Terry is for doing these things. It’s beyond awful in every single way. The sheer amount of emotional distress Daniel has to go through because of this total asshole.

I suppose Daniel would only become the perfect spouse if he had just forgiven Terry the next day after what happened that night—then Terry wouldn’t have had to go off the rails even more and punish him!! See, it’s all Daniel’s fault of course.

Makes me almost wish Daniel had ended up with Kumiko or Johnny or even Chozen in this verse. None of them—not even Johnny—would ever do something like this, canon included. Hell, I highly doubt canon!Kreese would stoop this low.

(He always asked himself if he wasn't good enough, somehow, but he's not too bothered by it) Arghhhh. I know he’s not bothered by it, but just the fact that he asks himself this question in the first place is awful. Clearly the poor thing who does so much and really is a wonderful spouse is either not being shown and told how much he’s loved, how good he is—or he has some deep insecurity thanks to Terry. Maybe all at once.

(But that fear soon proves unjustified.) Uh, okay. So Terry is nice to him after spilling the beans. How kind of him. 🙄 I hate that Daniel even felt scared, that he wondered if Terry was gonna act like a dick after…well, acting like a dick. Honestly, the parts of the fic where Terry gets nasty gives me domestic violence vibes. He sucks.

(It makes him feel lonely and unappreciated) 😭 😭 😭 Ooof that stings. Daniel of all people, even in canon, needs to be shown and told that’s he’s loved and appreciated. The moment those affirmations are taken from him…

(the puppies are BIG MAD at Daddy for that. Not. Again.) No no, puppies, by all means! He deserves it. Which makes me ask—do the older puppies know what’s up? Or do they at least suspect? Sam maybe. Even Robby considering how he’s a Mama’s boy.

Arghhh. I just wanna give Daniel all the cuddles and snuggles. He’s too sweet for all this misery.

Anyway, those are my thoughts. And I just wanted to say this is 1000% not hate. I very much enjoy this story, very much enjoy all the installments (even when they hurt!), and very much enjoy the world building, and still want them to be happy, curse my nasty Silverusso heart. I also very much enjoy your writing, and again, love this one in particular! So thank you very much for writing it, even if I now dislike Terry a lot lol.

Anyway, Daniel could do much better than Terry Silver here. That man will never deserve having this cutiepie in this life. Not one bit.

Nonnie, first off, thank you for this incredibly kind and heartfelt message. Writers always want to evoke a response in people, and it's entirely fine if that response is anger at one of the characters. I do the same! So no hate, I get it <3

As for Terry - he married Daniel at gunpoint, knowing full well the boy didn't want him and the family wanted him dead. You'd need to be a certain kind of entitled and dismissive of other people's feelings to do that. Truly considerate people don't do that. They don't. So, did I expect that to never rear its head?

But he's sweet and loving and kind - yeah, because he wants to be. He wants a home, he wants genuine love, and he's arrogant enough to think that he should get it whatever he does. Oh, sure, he'll apologise, if only for himself, because he does feel guilty. But this whole marriage was begun on his turf, and he completely expects it to stay that way, because... Well, because he wants it to. And what Terry wants, Terry gets, that's how it works!

And then Daniel doesn't play. He straight up leaves, and that is not allowed. Like Michael standing up to him wasn't allowed. And he can't do anything and he feels bad and worried and vulnerable and other people are supposed to make that right for him and they're not. If he can't take Daniel, he'll take someone else that'll show him....

(Did Don LaRusso expect this would happen? He factored it in, he can't not have. But he needed a few years to get his strength back, after which he'd dispose of that Irishman and take his family home if need be... Conveniently forgetting that caro Daniele would again have to be hurt in the process!)

But now, there's love. Such profound love, because you can't marry Daniel LaRusso and not open up a well of love inside yourself you had no idea existed. Doesn't happen. Should he have known this before? Of course. But people who understand this, in their soul, don't become Mob bosses, and if they do, they don't force people into marriage with them. In fact, a lot of people like that don't even realise what they're doing then, they simply go "huh?" when their wives put rat poison in their food.

The biggest issue now is that Terry knows he's had a change of heart - he really has - but in the ten years in between, Daniel can't know that. At any point, Terry can do something like that again and then where will he be? So in a way, it is a blessing in disguise because not only has Terry not done something violent to him again, after this happens and Daniel again decides to wait and see - he doesn't change. He doesn't have a tantrum, he doesn't try to get back at him, he doesn't get dismissive, he sincerely apologises and explains and in a very backwards way, this is actually a relief to Daniel because at least it gives him the opportunity to say: "Hey asshole, what did I ever do to you?"

And Terry is scared out of his mind because he knows, viscerally, what he stands to lose, he knows what it cost to get it back and he knows that he probably couldn't do it again.

So yes, Daniel is hurt and puppies are incensed - by now, the eldest are 16, 15 and 14 years old, Robby is nearly 13, and people at that age don't accept any excuses. They haven't had to compromise and they definitely don't understand why anyone should have to. If Mama inexplicably doesn't murder Daddy in his bed, they're not letting him get away with it. Sammy, Yasmin and Eli remember very well how Mama and Daddy had a huge fight and had to go away forever to make up. And they remember the feeling of being so upset when Mama was. No, in their way, they're tearing Terry a new one. For Daddy to endanger their safe haven, they won't have it and there's four or them and only one of him.
