reading frankenstein is hard for me because i love victor and i am vehemently against the idea that he’s somehow a villain and maintain that his mistakes did not mean he deserved all the fucked up shit he went through and that the creature was in the wrong for like 90% of their interactions while victor is more in the right for the entire book than he himself is ever in the wrong and i’m one of the VERY FEW i know who feels this way so i’m fighting for my life to defend my number one boy at all times even as he sinks lower and lower and eventually full on dies which makes me very sad

reading dracula is hard because i love villains and i find dracula very fun and appreciate his whole vibe so much and therefore kinda want him to keep on winning

I'm trying to puzzle out Alejandro's characterisation as a thirty three year old.

I've largely decided to skip the robot thing but give Alejandro some degree of physical disability from the volcano, involving a leg prosthetic, which he successfully sued Chris over because y'know negligence. He hates Chris.

And I'm trying to figure out his sexuality. Is he gay or bi? Is Aleheather genuine or not?

Personally, I'm leaning towards:

- Gay guy with a severe case of comphet who mixed up his genuine feelings of friendship with heather (I love his dynamic with heather! make them frenemies for life), who only puzzled out years after the fact that he was so hurt by Noah's words because he had a slight crush on him.

- Make him greyromantic for extra ~depth~. I make so many characters aspec and it's Alejandro's term. I think being greyromantic, which is an arospec umbrella identity, often involves the experience of finding it difficult to distinguish between platonic and romantic attraction. I learn towards greyromantic over demi because I want to develop alenoah over the course of ~1 day and that works with greyromanticism but not demi.

- Heather is a lesbian and played him. They're cool.

- He is a paleontology professor (because the idea of him studying paleontology in Amicus Curie just makes sense - you can thank that fic for the background courtemma, too). I think it fits him well! He's a charismatic intelligent guy who just really likes dinosaurs because he's lowkey a nerd.

- I think he is estranged from his parents and José and has become really close with Carlos as an adult, which isn't exactly an unusual headcanon. He is linked to Emma through Carlos' marriage to her dad's sister and is basically another uncle to Emma and was never a fan of Chase nor really talked about his time on Total Drama, but he has come into his own as a gay man by the time the reboot rolls around.

Bowie: are all the original contestants here queer???

Noah [after conversing with alejandro]: yep.

anyway. alejandro burromuerto is a fascinating character and I want to unravel him. I personally see him as Peruvian.

he's such a disaster. gotta love him though.

You got to admit that Marc and Nath have always had Adrien’s back in a way others haven’t. Like, them automatically sensing he was genderqueer/genderfluid? (Marinette probably dictate she was supposed to be the princess in their comic but they took one look at Adrien, and said “yeah no they’d wear a dress. There’s something gay going on there.” And take creative liberties because we all know Marc and Nath have good taste.) and to top it off on the Boys Only Party they literally kissed Adrien on his cheeks. That party was extremely gay and like I feel like Nath and Marc both said to Nino “we know he’s your baby chick but it’s obvious he’s not straight or Cis. We can break it to him gently or do it the fun way.” And Nino is saluting them like “I leave it to you. Don’t break the baby chick.”

Basically I’m just imagining Nath and Marc making plans with the Science kids to kidnap and adopt Adrien. He really needs it. I mean, a queer magical catboyTM who was literally born out of magic? He’s the perfect mascot for the Science Squad. From what I’ve seen they’ve all had some weird experiences with magic. Adrien literally is the definition of “weird experience with magic.”

Marc: *Pulls Adrien out of the body bag* Sorry, but we didn't know if you'd go with us willingly.

Adrien: But, I would have!

Nathaniel: See? I told you.

Going in order;

Tecna: Nonbinary Flag cape, Aro and Ace belt clips, Transfeminine pin, and Autism pin

Tecna doesn't really care about figuring out what her exact gender is because that doesn't affect the happiness she experiences in her life so she uses the macro label of Nonbinary and Transfeminine, and was very happy simply socially transitioning to being more feminine

She uses She/He/They pronouns, and doesn't actually care which one people use for her. Since magic is a very female dominant field and because she's transfeminine most people just assume she only uses she/her and she honestly doesn't care enough to correct them

She experiences no type of attraction, but isn't repulsed. She's completely neutral but is very much interested in not participating

She's very autistic. She experiences shut downs, takes things very literally, is like aggressive sincere bc not doing that never occurred to her, can't read others emotions to save her life—people on Zenith usually keep to themselves and have a extremely straightforward culture that very autism friendly so Tecna never noticed she was different until she left

Aisha: Lesbian Flag, Demi aro ace pin, and that's the Pride flag in her bag

Aisha is exclusively attracted to women and only experiences attraction after knowing someone well. Additionally, Demi people have different amounts of time for when they feel attraction and for Aisha they have to be at the very least good friends before any attraction can develop

Musa is bisexual with a preference for men. She figured out she was bisexual after watching the world's shittest romance movie and wished she was dating both of them. Had a friend describe Omni as being between Pan and Bi, where gender plays a role but not as big and it really fitt the way I see Bloom so here. I genuinely think Bloom would like and use micro labels, she just comes off to me as a "I need to find the perfect word to decide my experience" girlie

Essential: Yes, in the "Shinichi's character arc" way. I don't think anyone would argue with me against that. Also because I think it's a huge point in Heiji's character arc.

Notes: this case also includes the beginning of the good old "Hey Kudo-- I mean Kudoi, persistence! As in wow this kid sure is persistent!" that becomes Heiji's whole thing. Also has a bit of hilarious indicators of Heiji having a crush on Kudo (literally got hearts when he talks to him, the damn disaster bi of a teenager) that tie in nicely to Kazuha thinking "Friend Kudo from Tokyo" is a girl later.

Consider: Tianlang-Jun works very, very hard to try and court Su Xiyan. He does his research. He throws out all the stops and all the wealth. He thinks he's being incredibly romantic.

However the only thing that is going through Su Xiyan's head is "Gods this man is a disaster."

(Tianlang-Jun is, but all rights, a very Distinguished Bi. Anyone in the Southern Demon Court will tell you that. But when you mix South Demon with Human Propriety, it just implodes and suddenly, here's Su Xiyan, and he is a Disaster instead.

Lucky for him, Su Xiyan is head disciple. She likes being the capable one in a relationship.)

Shen Jiu: this book says that women like flowers? Tianlang Jun: digs up flowering plants full of papapa sex pollen...

It was an interesting experience. And yes, Tianlang Jun still presented those flowers to Su Xiyan, complete with all the papapa pollen. Su Xiyan was not amused at the time and went to a brothel to solve her problem instead.

1.

They met through Phoenix and Miles, they somehow got along very well and Phoenix and Miles weren't expecting that. Soon they started visiting each other a little too much and Klavier paid attention to their behaviour/behavior. He put 1 and 1 together then told Phoenix and Miles.

2.

Simon didn't believe the whole spirit channeling thing but asked Maya to channel Metis bc she was eating him up about it. She wanted "channeling requests" so that she can be constantly training and improve her powers, and he finally agreed and asked her to channel Metis Cykes. He provided her a picture and gave her Metis's full name. She channeled Metis, he apologised/apologized, she told him that nothing was his fault and he talked to her for quite some time.

3.

Maya has to stand on the tips of her toes and Simon has to kneel down if she wants to kiss the dude bc of the height difference being almost 30cm [almost 1 foot]. And he can pick her up and spin her around whenever she feels like it

4.

They don't really go on dates as they are busy most of the time but Maya does visit Simon a lot bc he isn't allowed into Kura'in Village as he is an outsider. Maya is trying to fix that issue as she really wants Simon to see the village and how beautiful it is.

5.

Maya is a fanfiction reader and she forced Simon to read terrible fanfiction with her so that they can make fun of it. The type of fanfiction where the author didn't have good intentions or was a newbie, the type that's bad with nothing to defend it.

6.

Athena was shocked when she first heard about their relationship and she put 1 and 1 together. Maya is now officially her step-aunt.

7.

They love to do random stuff together. Stuff that isn't sexual but it's like Maya finds a DIY hack that is very obviously fake, she knows it's fake but she gets Simon to help her do it and they end up making a huge mess. Or maybe Maya comes up with the most obnoxious idea that they can do and Simon just plays along bc he doesn't want to upset her.

They both can't cook for anything so they usually order.

Maya is the messy one and Simon is the organized/organised one. Maya does all the mess and Simon tidies things up after her.

Both of them are bi, Simon being the distinguished bi and Maya being the disaster bi.

Maya sends Simon cursed images and posts at 3 A.M., wakes him up by the notification sound, he looks at the images and is like "Maya, why the bloody hell are you awake?" and she's like "BECAUSE WHY NOT?" and continues to send him cursed images and he loves her too much to upset her so he stays quiet.

When they are at Simon's residence, Maya opens up her laptop that she brought with her, searches up the scariest videos on YouTube, makes him watch the videos with her and then she gets too scared to sleep and he reassures her that everything will be alright and that none of the videos are real. She clings onto him when they sleep.

Personally, I headcanon that he identifies as pan, but like... He chooses that as his label because he likes the flag colors better lmao. That's it.

I always meant to type up my headcanons for this but never got around to it, so I think now is as good a time as any?

Misono: sex positive ace. Both because I think it suits him and because I like the contrast with my headcanon of Lily, where Lily has sex related trauma that makes him have difficult feelings about being attracted to others. Misono is almost clinical? When talking about that kind of thing. It can be off putting but he genuinely just thinks the scope of human sexuality is a fascinating thing to research

Mahiru: Bisexual, like his uncle, but not particularly aware of it in that he doesn't identify as anything. He's very "yeah that person is hot" and moves on with his day. The type who goes "huh! I guess I am" if you point out he's queer

Speaking of Queer, Mikuni: uses this exclusively. He thinks it's delightful. Like yes, this is perfect, he IS a very strange and odd little man! And that's all you're getting out of him (genuinely, this is all he gives me aside from maybe some flavor of aro. Jackass)

Lawless: Disaster bi with a distinct preference for intimidating women and older men. Licht is actually out of left field for him. Not typically the type he goes for!

What is it that you like about Salieri? When I was still in school it was mandatory to watch amadeus in music class and he was not really depicted in a favourable light imo, but I may have also forgotten some crucial parts. So what is it that you enjoy about him? (This is by no means shade)

First off, same with the mandatory watching of Amadeus. I honestly slept through it when I was 13-14 years old because I was depressed bean stuck in a toxic environment. I hate to admit that I wasn't a fan of the 1984 movie, though I don't mind watching it.

Second, it was Mozart L'opèra Rock that made me love Salieri so fucking much. I don't remember what made me love and hyperfixate on the guy. Salieri in Mozart L'opèra Rock has a kind of poetry to his character, even though it has some basis on Amadeus. His vibe somehow captured me and maybe the fact that his songs were easy to play on guitar kinda helped with that. He was enigmatic when he first appeared, @antoniosalieri's analysis on the guy made me open to the symbolisms of his songs and the guy was such a distinguished bi disaster, even though they made him quote on quote "sexually ambiguous".

But it was my curiosity on what's up with him and Mozart made me want to learn more about him and his life.

I learned that he was a crucial part of the entire history of classical music, being the teacher of such people who became famous like Beethoven, Schubert and Liszt, he taught people who aren't royalty for free, he handed out golden buttons to children who were impoverished as a roundabout way of helping. I learned that despite the rumors of him "poisoning" Mozart and their professional rivalry, they were still friends and Salieri still taught Franz Xaver, who was Mozart's youngest son. I learned that he became a father figure to his students and he was a loving father to his son and daughters (the death of Alois Engelbert in September of 1805 affected him so much that he became paralyzed and mute with grief). I learned he was taught of music by Gluck, Gassmann and his brother, Francesco, how as a child he seemed to have had a love for music and how likely it was that he had a prodigal talent of his own. I learned of how he is often tossed around like a hot potato before landing to Vienna when he became orphaned at 13-14 years old. I learned of other things too, like how he had a sweet tooth (to the point there were instances of Mozart calling him 'Signor Bonbonière'), how he sneaked out to see his brother perform in festivals which lead to him getting locked up by his father, how he jumped onto an old spinet because the owner was too frugal to replace the broken thing, how he often joked about having terrible German despite having lived there for most of his life ever since he was fifteen, small moments like him treating Schubert out and buying him ice cream.

I like some of the other interpretations of Salieri as well. Fate/Grand Order has an almost similar characterization to Mozart L'opèra Rock's, except more edgy and I love how Lostbelt 1 handled him. Classi9 clearly has an inspiration to Amadeus' but I somehow want to see more of this Salieri. I would like to know of Crash Fever's Salieri, but I like how Alice Fiction's Salieri is a break from the edgy anti-villain that was inspired by Amadeus, which in turn was inspired by Pushkin's. Alice Fiction's Salieri may look like a generic anime girl, but she's adorable and soft to me. Rhythmstar's Salieri may have kept the poisoning rumor, but I love how they kept him as a teacher and I can't wait to see the spin-off game where he is the main character, I kinda want to see ANB elaborate on him.

There's even a fucking musical on Salieri, but it's in Korean, with no subtitles and there's only clips of it available, so it's kinda sad, even though I want to see its story.

I don't quite remember what made me so hyperfixated on him, but damn do I love Antonio Salieri so fucking much

Green clashes with grey, not unlike a winter sea, before she relents and lowers her gaze as he turns his own away. His voice fills the space between them in such a way that she cannot quite distinguish the tone to its quality. She has become used to her friend's brusque demeanour over the course of their association but it does sting somewhat, as she has never purposefully dallied or prolonged physical contact as she knows his discomfort with it. It might be pain that roughens him, but most likely it is distraction based on their discourse.

She takes a step back whipping her skirts from his path to avert disaster ~he likely holds no belief but why risk shackling him with ill-luck?~ and shakes her head when his back presents itself. She begins to tidy up after her ministrations. She can forgive him given the circumstances and she holds no malice. One of her uncles would often mutter ‘ando gav bizhuklesko shai piravel o manush bi destesko’. In a village without a dog, a man can walk without a stick. She repeats the saying under her breath. Low enough that she does not think he hears. Then it occurs to her with the weather and the hour, there ought not be much ado in the streets and she finds herself joining him in his vigil, at the other window.

Though she does offer him a smile in reflection. "A stranger I might have, but I would like to think we have become...friends... Aristide."

It is the first time she has spoken his Christian name, and it comes across a little breathy from nerves. She is quick to adopt a slightly more formal air in an effort to take some of any imagined offence back. "I'll put on some tea. Fortify us against the dark and cold. We are venturing out, aren't we?"

- Greyromantic. Ashley knew that she was somewhere on the Aromantic spectrum, and it took a while to realize that she was greyromantic. At first, she thought she was fully aromantic, but when she discovered greyromantic as a term, everything just clicked for Ash.

- She’s definitely greysexual. It took her a bit to distinguish whether or not she was demisexual or greysexual, but she figured it out

- Panromantic. Deep down, she kind of always kind of knew she was panromantic.

- She’s also demiflux! So the female part of her gender is static, while the other part of her gender fluctuates.
