HELLO welcome to the Babbit's Blog masterpost!!! On this post you'll find some fun facts about yours allegedly (me <33), some ref's for my different 'sona's, and a couple links to my fics and whatnot! Are you ready? No?? Excellent neither am i let's do this
Meet the Babbits!: the self-inserts/personas
the first ref is for my general/most commonly used persona, Babbit! They aren't really an anthro/furry as much as they are a humanoid with the head of a rabbit. I like to think of this one as the 'me' that's in my head- the purest form of my thoughts and feelings, but not the solid real-life me.
The second ref is my self-insert persona, Rabbit, the one i picture using most often when i'm reading a fic or imagining a self-insert scenario lol. This one is like the me that people see and meet and speak to in real actual life, if that makes sense. It's the way I come across to people and all of the things I wish I could iron out of my crumpled up real-self <3
The third is a much more specific 'sona, Hazel, who started off as a FNaF:SB animatronic self-insert. She does have a backstory and lore now, which i think makes her more of an OC than a self-insert, but a lot of her is still me and a lot of what she experiences in her backstory is from my life/instills the same feelings that were taken away from things that happened to me, so I think she kinda counts enough to put a ref for her here sdkjfsdhfj
(Why the different names?: makes things a little easier, and they hold meaning to me symbolically, I guess!)

After Everything Was Fixed (but you were still broken): AU FNaF Sun/Moon x (Animatronic) Reader, gender neutral, read with caution, angst, harm to sentient robots, traumatized main character, hurt/comfort slow burn, romance slow burn
"The virus was gone. Everyone was fixed. You had been put back together. It's a time for a new beginning, to do things right this time, to wash away the past and paint a better future.

A fic where you are a repairman-themed STAFFbot, taking place post-virus. In the past, Moon, infected by the virus, took delight in attacking and dismantling the reader during the night. Now, in the present, you find yourself burdened by the memories of the past while everyone around you has no recollection of the events. It gets more complicated as Sun and Moon, both now cleared of the virus, grow curious of you. This fic will follow a series of arcs, presently on arc one. For anyone curious, feel free to send an ask about the arcs in 'After Everything Was Fixed'!

HI I'm Rabbit! Or Bones! Or Babbit! Or Avarice/Ava, if you want to go for a more legitimate-sounding name. I'm 24 years old, prefer to use they/them pronouns, and so, so incredibly ace. I've been drawing as long as I've had the ability to hold a pen, writing since I was in grade school, and being a plague to the ones around me since the beginning of time!
If you've seen my art, its probably from the absolute mountain of fluffy-wuffy love-dovey (y/n) x Sundrop/Moondrop/Eclipse doodles I've been sharing for several years now sdfjhsdj. If you've heard of my fics, it was probably the one I made just for fun that's now turned into an actual fanfiction that I enjoy writing, the silly-lovey-fluff incarnate (it was, in reality, not fine.) !

AAAA poinsettia!! I’m sorry, i don’t remember if you’ve ever mentioned a blood thirsty rabbit in defiance, but I LOVE when prey animals get a little silly and start doing a little murder… I play a Harengon Barbarian in dnd and he is similar. Little guy who likes to kill and will snap your bones if it makes you take him seriously. While he’s a good guy at heart, he is a follower to the extreme and I think if Defiance worded things correctly, he would happily join them, enforcing their brutality if it means recognition for his strength and a job well done. Hazel Thistledown my beloved little guy. I would be happy to share a picture if you are interested!!

'Prey' animals getting a little silly and violent is sort of what Defiance's whole story is about! Hares are terrifying creatures, I wouldn't mess with one. And I'd love to see a picture of your guy. I'm glad you're enjoying the story!
Yes! Prowl's mindset on what he considered to be 'natural' interactions between various animals changed an enormous amount when he met Deepdark, and a large part of the reason he chose to make Ranger one of his corporals.

BILLOWS BEAT OFF WHISPERED WINGS: A DAEMON AU: i will be posting more of this series here and on ao3! i might change the title, who knows
hardison is an eastern red bat named t'pris (they thought it was spelled teepris until they watched star trek and were like AH designated trekkie by birth name). settled age sixteen. he is a witch that traveled dimensions when he was young, triggered by when he felt particularly lonely. then he got to nanas and he was :(( so he had the look in his eye and Nana was like OH NO YOU DONT and turns out she is a witch too. he does age at a human rate, unlike nana.
parker's is a raccoon named jack, settled age nine. he had taken to rabbits and hares when she was very small, because they loved bunny. she was convinced he would be a jackalope (hence, why she think she gave him the name jack, but they cant remember if that was his given name in the first place). settled when her foster father took Bunny and jack needed lil clever thief hands to steal bunny back. they are stretched but not separated, so that jack can help out with thievery.
eliot has a cecropia moth, which is the biggest n.american moth. her name is hazel (although eventually hazel will use they/them, but im not sure when that will start). settled age fifteen. hazel and eliot are severed by age twenty-four, as is typical with elite soldiers and contractors and such. they do not have a good relationship, because age twenty-eightish, eliot abandoned left hazel with toby because eliot knew he was getting into some bad shit and didn't want her hurt.
MORE HEADCANONS ABOUT THE OT3 (but mostly hazel since the series would be mostly in her pov) IN THIS VERSE BELOW
when hazel realized eliot wasn't coming back for her, she begged toby to bring her to aimee. (partly because his daemon and her didn't mesh, partly because hazel missed aimee, and partly because she didn't want eliot to ever find her if he decided to drag his ass back.)
when the crew does the job for the martins, aimee and her horse daemon hickory tell hazel she has to go back to eliot because (1) he's changed, give him a chance but mostly (2) aimee has to move on. hazel is Not Happy, especially when she learns eliot carries around a prosthetic dormant cicada in a bug case claiming thats his daemon.
hazel ignores eliot but does go to his apartment to grouse, and when they make it to boston she strictly hangs out at nates.
since shes always there, hazel gives comfort to parker when parker comes crying after the psychic job, landing on her knee. parker is like. oh. i can feel how fuzzy your body is, i really like that, you probably feel... and hazel tells parker she can pet her. parker gets a couple strokes in before starting to cry, the last time she touched another person's daemon being her little brother's.
hazel quickly falls into trust/in love with parker, who kinda just is like. okay so i guess hazel is mine now. everyone is like UM THATS NOT HOW THIS WORKS. but hazel, parker, and even eliot are like. hazel is her own daemon and can do what she wants independent of eliot (they are so stupid omg). hazel starts to go out on jobs grifting as parkers daemon, staying in her hair like an elegant headpiece while jack goes and does thievery.
later, hazel tries to get cozy with hardison but alec is like ABSOLUTELY NOT, STOP FLIRTING WITH ME, I AM NOT TOUCHING YOU. and then parker is like, duh, go ahead? we are dating and even though jack isnt ready, hazel is and she is independent. but alec is like, okay that's nice but also eliot is involved in this IM SORRY HAZEL, HE IS. so consent is not obtained.
eliot eventually catches him and is like. hazel came to talk with me, saying you wanted "both coparent's" permission. just.... you have it. and alec is like. .......... internally: goddddddddsd I wanna kiss him so badddddd
when Alec is buried, poor t'pris was left behind, clinging to nate's coywolfs fur. She won't let go, so she ends up in the car with nate and eliot. they go in one direction and she starts freaking out, yelling that it's the wrong direction, they are gonna break them apart. they turn around immediately but t'pris is inconsolable. the coywolf and hazel both are like, come back here now eliot, she needs human warmth. eliot refuses to touch her, so he scoops her into his beanie and cradles her to his chest.
after the ordeal, t'pris absolutely wants to be cuddled by eliot all the time as her and alec are dealing with The Trauma, so eliot gets one of those phone cases that goes on a belt or lanyard, and carries her that way. eliot has no right to laugh at the sling alec uses for jack once he warms up to being held.
the three of them freak leverage international newbies the fuck out who are like.... dear god if we join is there just daemon socialist anarchy???! and the answer is no but also technically kinda yes? everyone thinks hazel is parker's, t'pris is eliots, and jack is alecs.
it takes two years post s5 for the ot3 to get together despite them and their daemons being all over each other. they are awful and so very stupid.
t'pris likes to tease hazel about how eastern red moths' diet mainly consists of moths. hazel just pointedly flaps her wings and says GODDAMN. TRY. ME. t'pris does not try hazel.
eventually hazel and eliot make up, but it's probably telling of me that i am not sure how. eliot in the meantime is extremely deferential to her, and basically this verse is a love story between them two (aka, eliot and his soul) wherein (as @redgoldblue described) "eliot finds himself in his new family (as very explicitly pointed out in the two horse job) but he hasn’t FOUND himself yet it’s a process so his daemon… who also, separately, finds a home in the same family before ever coming back to eliot"
since the two fliers of the group have bodies about three inches long, jack loves using his weird lil hands to double fist his daemon partners' fuzzy lil bodies.

Y/N POV:
It was a peaceful night. Until, it wasn't. I woke up by the sound of crying. A small arm, slightly shaking me. I immediately opened my eyes, seeing our little girl, standing next to the bed. Her eyes were puffy from crying, and she looked terrified.
'Sweetheart, what's wrong?' I asked her, while I sat straight up.
I picked her up, letting her sit on my lap, while she continued her cries, and buried her face into my chest. While I was hugging her, my sleepy husband began stirring awake, soon after, opening his hazel eyes.
'What-what's wrong?' he asked, concern raising his voice.
I shrugged my shoulders, letting him know, that I don't know, either.
'Do you wanna sleep with us?' I whispered to our daughter, as she managed to nod her head.
I placed her between us, as we all went to lay down, holding each other.
'What's wrong, honey? If you tell us, we can help.' Spencer spoke, as she took a deep breath.
'I'm scared for Annabelle.' her voice was cracking, as we both hugged her tighter.
I saw Spencer thinking, if their was a girl in her class, named "Annabelle". But, I knew it wasn't that. The creepy horror figure, immediately popped up in my head, by hearing that name. The scary doll, had brought me nightmares, when I was younger. I'm positive, this was the same situation.
But, then, the questions began to hit me. Did she saw a horror movie? Did somebody told her? Did she saw an image of it?
'Sweety, do you mean the doll?' she looked at me with disbelief.
'How-how do you know that? Is she here?' her eyes were full of fear, and I felt bad, for asking the obvious question.
'It's okay, it's okay. She is not here.' I told her, instantly hugging her more. I drew random symbols, on her arm, in attempt to comfort her.
'Did you saw the movie, (Y/D/N)?' her dad asked, as he pressed some soft kisses on her head.
'N-no, someone from class told me what had happened with that family.' tears streaming down her cheeks again, as we could feel her heart beating faster.
'You don't have to be scared, sweety. I promise you, she's not real.' I tried to reassure her, but it didn't work.
'But, she murdered that family, and now she's coming for us!' she yelled out, I felt terrible.
'(Y/D/N), I promise you, Annabelle is not real. She is a stupid fantasy story. She does not exist and never will be. You're completely safe, we protect you from everything.' I tried again, this time, her expression relaxed a bit more.
'But, why did he told me than?'
'He probably wanted to make you scared. But, that story is not true.' Spencer now spoke, as she began to relax more and more.
'Really?' she was sceptical, but once we reassured her again, she began to really believe it.
'I promise.' we both said, as her tears finally came to an end.
'Would you feel better, if I read you a story? A happy story.' the girl nodded her head, while Spencer stood up.
'Which story do you want?'
'Fox and Hare!' she exclaimed, as my husband disappeared, but quickly came back.
'Fox and Hare, it is.' it was a big book, with many stories in it. It was all about Fox and Hare, their friends, and the many adventures they experienced.
The genius, climbed back into bed, as he placed (Y/D/N) her pillow in the middle of us. She laid down, the comforter on all of us, as Spencer began to read.
Soon enough, she drifted off to sleep, and we both hoped, it was a peaceful night this time. With no crazy dolls or other disturbing nightmares.
Not much later, we allowed the tiredness to overwhelm us as well, falling into a comforting sleep.

or, how to answer questions about myself without revealing much about myself, yet speaking as honestly and earnestly as I can.
@hreog-like-frog tagged me, and managed to hit me at the exact right time where I needed to take a break from the thing I've been working on all day. Here goes!
More answers below the cut:
Are you named after anyone?
My first name was my Dad's mother's first name and my middle name was my Mom's mother's middle name. I like it, and am grateful I didn't end up with the opposite combination of their names.
When is the last time you cried?
Pretty sure it was the trans godzilla stop-motion film I reblogged a week or so ago. I think I'd seen it first at a film festival but it always gets me. (I'll reblog it again right after this - it's awesome)
Do you have kids?
Nope.
Do you use sarcasm?
I'm trying to cut back.
What is the first thing you notice about people?
Clothes - I don't particularly follow fashion as such, but I've been obsessed with clothes and costumes and clothing history ever since I was a kid.
What is your eye colour?
Hazel.
Scary Movies or Happy Endings?
Happy endings all the way! I'm never mad at a happy or hopeful ending. Weird and dark and gory and violent content are all things I actively seek out but I am a wimp when it comes to actually feeling scared. Horror movies are hit or miss for me, but I keep trying.
Any special talents?
I believe I can make anything. I'm not always right, but blind confidence and a willingness to try has gotten me surprisingly far!
Where were you born?
Small town hospital
What are your hobbies?
I make movies! I do arts and crafts. I walk around outside, the deeper in the wilderness the better (but lately I've mostly just been walking around the perimeter of the office parking lot … there was a goose last week, and some ducks the week before that - I'll take whatever nature I can get)
Do you have any pets?
No pets, but I do get really excited when the kangaroo paw outside my window is in bloom and the hummingbirds come to visit every day.
What Sports do you play/have you played?
I don't consider myself very sporty, but I did spend a lot of time playing team sports in school: volleyball, basketball, and track. The weirdest sport I did in school was hashing. It's a running game where one person (the hare) gets a bag of flour and a head start, and they lay a trail for the rest of the runners (the pack) to follow. It was a great way for me (a slower runner) to have a fun time running with everyone else (and a great way to go on a 5 or 10 mile run without getting bored). I started in college and kept it up for a few years afterwards (with a different group) but I eventually drifted away.
How Tall are you?
5'7"
Favourite subject in school?
I enjoyed school overall but college was where the real fun was. I loved all my materials science classes - especially "science of breaking things" (not it's official name but that's what we all called it) because I got to use a microscope to look at pretty patterns in metal. Good times!
Dream Job?
One where I get to make graphs and look through microscopes a lot (making crafts and then breaking them apart is also a lot of fun). My current job is pretty good, but sometimes they make me do other things so I still have room to dream of a better workday. I am also starting to wonder if it would be really great to be retired. I can't afford that right now, but it's starting to sound really nice.

Idk if I ever mentioned it here BUT I had a horrible idea for an au a few weeks ago where Hazel is more or less a third member to the daycare (or works in a section attached to it) but is WAYYY less popular than Sun and Moon AND Sun and Moon (both feeling like she’s an Unnecessary Addition to their daycare, and wary of being cut out of the picture and replaced) don’t like her much at all and basically give her the cold shoulder of indifference and Hazel, who has literally existed for like three days and has yet to do pretty much anything, just has to sit there and Deal.
And then,, Y/N shows up to work in the daycare, and Sun and Moon have a friendly-to-crushing kind and affectionate relationship with them bc they are nice and also like rlly cute omg, and Hazel is Completely Normal And Not At All Fucking Outraged About It ! Don't worry she's very mature and reasonable about her feelings (incredibly and persistently passive aggressive and constantly needling Sun and Moon in front of their crush and making everyone uncomfortable <3 )

This season is really out for JOYR, huh? Can't wait how things are going to balance later on with Ruby's team.
Even though there were some strange choices in the way this episode was directed (strange enough that it made me go look who directed this episode which I've never done before), at least the content was pretty good.
Things keep moving along, with Qrow confirming he's blaming himself, Robyn being Robyn and almost goading Hare into fighting her. Maybe that's how they are going to escape later on?
Ruby and company get a pretty "we're in this show too" scene so not much to talk about there other than I'd have liked Whitley to maybe stay and that I loved the reveal with Ruby calling Yang.
I'm glad Ren's issues are finally out in the open but... are they? Nora's reveal of not knowing who she is hit a lot harder than Ren's misplaced guilt, and she got like a quarter of the screentime his sulking is getting. I'm hoping that it gets a little deeper before they resolve it.
Also, lots of Jaunedice throwbacks cursing us all.

Ruby: Woot woot! Our heroine got some TV time! She’s famous!... She’s also about to get traumatized. She’ll survive at least, right?
Weiss: Hey, guys! Her story line is coming to a close! How exciting!... she may or may not have anymore family after this. Welp... at least she’s got her team... I think?
Blake: Good kitty girl letting the team cuddle up to her! Extra pets for her! Might be seeing her dad again if he comes to help... or he might witness her die.
Yang: Houston, we have a problem. Oh, right, we can’t contact houston! Welp... Mantle is more fucked than she thought. She’s now facing a problem her fists might not be able to solve.

RWBY Volume 8 Chapter 7
My various thoughts and opinions on the mid-season finale of RWBY Volume 8, “War”
SPOILERS BELOW:
Umm, I’m not a military expert by any means, but is that a good formation for people with machine guns to be in? It feels like the guys in the back are gonna just be standing there.
I fully expected a Jurassic Part scene with the daughter having a picnic, showing her getting snatched by a Grimm or something.
Seriously? All this shit going down, and you guys thought it was an ok time to worry about arresting the heroes? Ironwood’s boots must be really tasty for how eager they are to start lapping.
Winter’s reaction to the bomb plan is interesting. Does she expect this to be a suicide mission?
Can we get a shot that more encapsulates Salem in this situation than her directing the assault like a conductor in front of an orchestra? The theme is almost giving me All for One vibes.
Emerald’s semblance works on Grimm. Interesting.
Ooh, the way Hazel describes Salem recruiting him really paints quite the picture. He’s quickly regaining his status as the most interesting member of Team WTCH
“Well, has it?” Daaaamn, Ozpin’s really out here asking the hard-hitting questions. Aaron Dismuke is killing it this volume, that delivery was masterful.
Nora, no! My heart can’t take this anymore!
Whoot! Addressing May’s trans status in the show properly! I mean, Word of God isn’t nothing in these kind of cases, but it’s nice to hear it said out loud. And speaking of va’s killing it, Kdin is doing GREAT this volume. I hope we get more of May and the rest of the Happy Huntresses moving forward. The more we get of them, the more I love them.
“Nice story”. It was, really. One of my favorite episodes of the show, so far.
While Oscar’s play to tell Hazel about Jinn is quite the brilliant (if risky) one, it would be way too easy for Hazel to logic his way into thinking it was a trap. I mean, how brilliant would that be of Ozpin? Convince Hazel to start doubting Salem just enough that he uses the last question. If Jinn confirms Ozpin’s story, well shit, we better start defecting! However, even if Jinn shows him that Oz is full of it, whoops, he just used the last question and now Salem is pissed all to hell. I wouldn’t at all blame him if he decided it wasn’t worth the risk.
Emerald, on the other hand...
Quite frankly, it does not surprise me in the slightest that Tyrian was the one who knows.
Hmm, that last nod Mercury gave Emerald. I wonder what exactly that meant. I could have been a simple “See ya”, but it felt weightier than that.
You know, obvious ulterior motives aside, Jaune makes a good point here. A recon team is rarely a bad idea in these situations.
“We don’t let feelings get in the way.” Dear god, can somebody just say it, already? THAT’S ALL YOU’VE BEEN DOING! Everything you and Ironwood has done in the last 24 hours has been emotionally driven!
Ren making the emotional appeal. This episode is feeding us so well?
Wow, talking about losing and replacing teammates in front of two of the surviving members of Team JNPR? That’s an oof if I ever saw one.
The casual mention of this Tortuga character. Tell me more about the Tortoise to Harriet’s Hare!
Holy shit, Ren’s semblance evolution! I love it (and not at all because I have an OC that had similar empath abilities and a similar tendency to call people out on their bullshit).
And thus, Ren gets learns the lesson that most kids his age don’t: The adults don’t know what the hell they’re doing either. They’re all just making it up as they go along. Welcome to the truth, dear Ren.
Alright, I’m gonna join the other Winter simps on this one. Winter saying “I outrank you” was unreasonably hot.
Thank you, Ren, for validating what we’ve all been thinking. Out of all of Ironwood’s soldiers, Winter and Marrow are the two having the most doubts. Defection arc when!?
Ok, I haven’t figured out what all of the different petals represent emotion-wise, but fortunately we don’t have to to figure out that Winter is a frikkin’ emotional wreck. Therapists must make a killing in this world.
KLEIN!! At long last, our favorite composite character is back! I must say, his new duds are making him appear quite dapper. Nice touch making him a doctor, too, since, you know, Doc.
Aww, Whitley’s showing us his good side. Good job, kid. This is a well-deserved hug. Makes me wonder when the last he got was, though.
D’aaww, Weiss held him closer when they heard the crash. That’s so sweet.
Oh. Penny’s blood is green. That’s information I never wanted to have.
And so begins our 7-week wait until we get to see what happens next...
