What are your thoughts about Monty possibly having planned Ever After and Neo's role there?

I do honestly think Monty had a plan for Neo.

Neo was a character that was "invented" after V2, but in all of the answers they threw around, even back then, Monty let it slip that while Neo was something that was just created, she actually takes place of another already planned character that was supposed to show up latter. As in, Monty had a vague idea for a specific character and then when Neo was added went "oh hey, this character can be that character now!".

I do think there were specific set of plotpoints Monty wanted to do. He was adamant of having Raven fight JNPR in V3 for example and the rest of the crew were confused and had absolutely no idea why would he ever want that and had to talk him off that. Likewise there were talks about how he would share future ideas with Jeff Williams and stuff, which would turn into inspiration for the music.

I don't think it has to do with Ever After.

Mainly because everything about Ever After is...so Miles and Co in every single way. I don't think Miles and Co care about following whatever exact vision was beyond picking and choosing elements from it.

What I think happened is that Neo was meant to be metaphorical Cheshire Cat. Likely the originally intended character was a Faunus but then the role was just transferred onto Neo.

The key word is metaphorical.

RWBY as it was before all the fantastical stuff got added via nonsensical gods, always kept it's mythological aspect under the surface. Fairytales were an allusion, symbolism that would only tangentially tie into characters actions and backstories.

In the story of Alice in Wonderland, Cheshire Cat is an insane illusory being that haunts Alice through her journey, sometimes taunting her, sometimes playing mind-games, sometimes guiding. It is there to make Alice question things. So Neo simply was meant to be is Cheshire Cat to Ruby's Alice.

I honestly do think Monty had SOME ideas of having a character essentially haunt Ruby as part of her journey, play tricks on her and so on to torment her. Ruby being tortured by her experiences is a common theme laid through the early material, even through her themesong. It's not that farfetched to think it was something Monty wanted from the start (just like I genuinely believe Yang's arm was also something they all likely came up with before they even wrote the plot outline). It's also not far-fetched to think that whatever notes they had compiled back then would at least have something like "Volume Nine has Ruby face her demons" or something like that. That's just...basic kind of worldbuilding you do.

So that idea of Ruby's Journey and something or someone tormenting her then got fused with Neo. And V3, which still had his involvement, ends up building up Neo as someone who would absolutely want to do that to Ruby.

I don't think it had anything to do with Ever After and I don't think anyone planned the story of talking animals, Jaune the Great, Born Again Tree and The Suicide Tea.

But Neo, as a core element of Ruby's conflict? A sort of dark reflection of Ruby's own vengeful desires toward Cinder? Absolutely.

I need to take back something I said earlier. I was angry and being uncharitable. This case aggravates me in a way that is definitely deliberate but no less aggravating for it.

More rambling about the contentious issue ahead, but with a cooler head.

"Kaede rejects the First Blood Perk because she wants to fridge herself for Shuichi's benefit" was an unkind reading. I do still think that the FBP is Kodaka's way of shielding himself from criticism for what he knew would be a contentious creative decision. But there is more to her decision than that.

Kaede's ultimate objective in rejecting the FBP is that she wants to try to unmask the Mastermind. She's holding onto hope that that they can still thwart the Mastermind via Shuichi's (bad) plan, now that her own (murderous) plan has failed. Clinging to the belief that she can outfox the Mastermind by putting herself right in the Mastermind's crosshairs and letting the Mastermind fire.

I still don't like this. It would be an easier pill to swallow if they just hadn't made the FBP a thing to begin with, and Kaede was forced to react with a Sword of Damocles hanging over her head. And more than that, I'd still prefer they just didn't play this mean-spirited prank on the audience to begin with.

At the end of the day, she's still staring down the barrel of a gun and going, "Go ahead and pull that trigger! Letting the bullet tear through my skull will be my ultimate checkmate!"

And in a sense, she's right. Her Class Trial coming back to haunt Tsumugi is what brings about the end of the Mastermind. She does ultimately defeat the Mastermind long after her body's gone cold. But. That still doesn't impress me because. Like.

Sakura did it. The best part of the mean-spirited switcheroo is when it's making Kaede into a cheap copy of much better-developed characters from other games. We've seen dark secrets revealed about our protag right under our nose. We've seen a character off themselves as part of an elaborate and successful scheme to take down the Mastermind. It's been done.

Lazily copying off the homework of some of Danganronpa's best cases isn't good enough to justify presenting us with an interesting new protagonist, one of multiple Firsts even, and then suddenly tearing the rug out from under the player.

I have a lot of negativity towards Shuichi because of this as well, which really isn't his fault. It's hard to forgive V3 for what they did with Kaede, when they were trying to be the most subversive that a subversion's ever subverted. It starts the game off on a terrible foot, and in turn makes it difficult to give Shuichi a fair shake as a character.

Compared to Makoto and Hajime, Shuichi isn't a bad character. But it's hard to like him when the way we get him is by having Kodaka tear our character from our hands, punch us in the face, and then throw Shuichi on the ground and go, "No, you'll take THIS character and you'll FUCKING THANK ME FOR IT." That's not a writer-audience dynamic that creates positive feelings towards that character.

The game is banking on the fact that Shuichi's nice personality and emotional arc about an insecure sadboy learning to be confident in himself and vastly more screentime in the driver's seat letting us see his inner thoughts and feelings will ultimately be enough to convince us to let go of Kaede. That we, like Shuichi, will come to see Kaede as a martyr taken before her time who must inspire us to greatness.

And if it did for you? Great. I'm happy for you. But I didn't want Kaede to be a martyr. I wanted her to be the protagonist. That was what the game promised me. And when I look at Shuichi, all I see is yet another Makoto. The fourth Makoto, in as many games.

Yet more lazily copied homework to try and make the biggest dick-move that Danganronpa's ever pulled look clever.

That's probably uncharitable too. But it's hard for me to care about this guy after the character I did care about was torn away from me.

Sorry for the delay, this is something I've had to really think about.

V1 Faves

The initiation/Nevermore fight. Let's be honest this is where these legends started.

Blake & Yang meeting for the first time

Weiss and Blake coming to terms with each other

V`1 least faves

The animation. I know it was Poser, they had no budget, etc. That doesn't make it any easier to watch

That one line from Yang about boys that has haunted the discourse for nearly a decade.

TBH barely anyone had a character any deeper than surface level

V2 Faves

Yang talking to Blake in Burning The Candle. This is where their relationship became more than partners, deeper than just friendship

The talk between Weiss, Blake and Yang at Mountain Glenn. Something that would be directly referenced much later in V9

"Best Day Ever" - the food fight between RWBY and JNPR is just big dumb fun

V2 least faves

Jaune and his pursuit of Weiss. Obnoxious to the extreme.

Sun - that's it

"Breach" in general was kind of a mess and really was there to have a giant fight scene.

V3 Faves

"Heroes And Monsters" - It feels weird listing something so horrible and tragic as a favorite thing but what happened between Yang, Blake and Adam in this chapter would define these characters going forward all the way until almost the end of V6 and was a significant point in Blake & Yang's relationship

Also from "Heroes And Monsters" - Velvet unleashing Anesidora with "I May Fall" blasting is still so amazing to this day.

Yang being framed for injuring Mercury and Blake deciding to trust in her.

(I really could go on about V3 with many more positives.)

V3 least faves

SSSN vs NDGO - I DON'T CARE

Might be controversial but Pyrrha's death. I understood the narrative need for it but it doesn't mean I liked it

Same for Penny

V4 Faves

Meeting Blake's parents. Ghira and Kali are treasures.

The fight with Tyrian

Yang getting her new arm and starting her healing process

(Honorable mention to Blake, with Sun's help, starting to understand that sometimes you have to let people in and it's THEIR choice to want to be in your life. Also honorable mention to Ruby's letter in "No Safe Haven")

V4 least faves

Tai's "advice" both in "Family" and "One Step Forward..."

Sun. (I didn't start to be able to tolerate him unti V5)

Not nearly enough Yang

V5 Faves

Yang and Ruby reuniting - I always cry

Weiss' talk with Yang in "Alone Together" (which is also when I'm convinced she realized that Yang loved Blake)

"Yang...?" *Dumbfounded stare from Yang

(Honorable mention to Yang reading Raven for filth)

V5 least faves

The pacing wasn't great and yeah the big fight was lackluster

While the animation was fine the colors always felt very muted to me

Lionheart (not that I resented his use in the story, I just hate the dude)

The Bees Vs Adam (was I gonna say anything else?)

The Brunswick Arc (why is CRWBY so good at horror?)

The fight with the Leviathan.

V6 least faves:

These are mostly really minor complaints

Dee and Dudley - annoying

The big lore dump, while not BAD was a LOT

Oscar vanishing and getting a new set of clothes off camera not that I care that much but I think it could have been handled better

The makeovers, with the possible exception of Wess I thought everyone looked great and TBH Yang never looked better

The Bees getting ready to go on a date

Nora spilling the tea ABOUT the Bees

(Honorable mention to RBY standing by Weiss when she confronted Jacqass. Also honorable mention to Yang/Blake VS Elm/Vine)

Ironwood coming out as a complete dumbass.

Beeunion 2.0

Yang, Jaune and Ren infiltrating Salem's HQ and the fight that ensues. Especially Yang getting to talk smack to Salem and blowing her tits off.

Penny frying Cinder

(Honorable mention to Maria kicking Neo's ass)

V8 least faves

Ironwood continues to be a complete and total dumbass

Ren being a jerk. Thankfully he gets over it

Yang's fall. (not bad on a value level but it HURT)

V9 Faves:

The Bees confession - absolutely perfect. Could not be improved on

The fight scene in Rude, Red and Royal

Ruby getting her groove back and showing CC just how powerful she really is.

V9 least faves: (and I'm allowing for what I know was a difficult production)

We could have used at least another two chapters because some scenes and transitions were way too brief and as a result didn't have the emotional impact they should have

We didn't get the prologue that was shown at RTX

Minor complaint but in Chapter 1 I wish Blake had been shown as being a bit more worried about Yang since she saw her "die"

Wow, this was a LOT!

more liveblogging YIPPEE!! this time it’s the first half of ch1′s daily life.

-”monokuma will never directly commit a murder” bro don’t you threaten to kill all of them like two days from now??

-himiko’s vibrating sprite 😭 she is my spirit animal truly

-oh, shuichi and rantaro’s dynamic is GREAT. shuichi pulls kaede aside to ask if she thinks an ultimate talent is “really something you can forget” and iirc rantaro says he thinks shuichi is the most suspicious person in his FTEs - they both clearly suspect the other of being the ringleader and it’s fantastic. especially since their shared fondness for kaede makes them interact more than they’d probably like.

-we meet again, manhole gonta cg, we meet again. you have not gotten any prettier.

-kokichi’s first instinct when faced with a big hollow place is to yodel, and honestly same. echos r fun okay!!

-rantaro gets so much snarkier upon rewatch - you realize how much of his dialogue is just taking the piss. him saying “oh, how considerate” when they find the exit sign still makes me giggle.

-kaito thinking kaede is the COOLEST WOMAN ON EARTH and kaede thinking he’s sooo lame is such an underrated dynamic. “gimme a hug!” “no 💖” lives in my head rent free.

-kokichi’s speech after the death road of despair is what made me sit up and take interest in him and in kaede as characters and it still holds up so good hpsuhag,,,,i don’t have a ton of bigbrain thoughts about it but please know i am thinking about high empathy/low compassion kokichi and low empathy/high compassion kaede every single day. autistic queens.

-kokichi literally just says they need to find another way out and rantaro’s immediately like “murder?? you want to do a murder, you little gremlin????” then tenko freaks out, kokichi tells her to chill, and she threatens to smash his head into the ground!? it seems to me that the writers had a set dynamic between kokichi and the rest of the group, but forgot that by this point in the story they haven’t written anything to justify it - even with rantaro’s paranoia and tenko’s anger issues, this is excessive. HILARIOUSLY, this makes the scene read as his fucking jonker origin story. tenko, you fool, you should’ve taken the bubblegum...! look what you’ve gotten us all into...!

-the dorm rooms are INSANELY swanky. i’d want to live there, if not for the...everything else......

-them having tons of copies of the same outfit is so funny. tsumugi put her heart and soul into those costumes and you WILL wear them.

-that’s the end of day one! i’ll be keeping track of them, just so you all can understand how RIDICULOUS v3′s timeline is.

-i once saw someone point out that there was zero reason for maki not to take the first blood perk, and now that HAUNTS me. she would only be responsible for one death since there’s no class trial, and we know that ever after five chapters of ✨bonding✨ she’s still willing to murder all her “friends” in a petty revenge plot, and she’s supposed to be willing to do ANYTHING to keep her orphanage from going under. completely irrelevantly, did you know maki being an assassin was actually added later in development than kaede being the first killer?

-despite him definitely knowing that monokuma isn’t really dead, kokichi insists wholeheartedly that the killing game is “cancelled” - it’s one of his more obvious ploys imo. even if it can only delay deaths for a day or so, he’s willing to throw all his acting chops behind it.

-you know that meme that goes “god made me mentally ill to nerf me”? that’s shuichi. he’s a side character that becomes the protagonist. he has a plan to catch the mastermind in CHAPTER ONE. he is breaking the danganronpa formula so bad. tsumugi had to pump him full of depression or else he would have crushed her show like a nut on day one. the detective. he destroyed his narrative. yes. YES. the detective is out.

-KAEDE TOLD MIU TO SHUT THE HELL UP...u know it’s serious when u get *kaede* to curse omg

-”hey,do you think this door is connected to monokuma somehow?” “i think it might.” and here we get our first reminder that v3 was translated by character, not by scene. the translators mostly stuck to their individual character’s dialogue without much communication, and it leaves lots of little blips like this.

-and so day two ends!

-the way they just...take the wind right out of monokuma’s sails is so funny. he’s so excited for this yokai gimmick!! and then miu tells him to get hit by a second car, tsumugi complains that his outfit is bad, and korekiyo starts explaining the difference between ghosts and yokai in excruciating detail. monokuma’s one weakness: pretentious teenage nerds...!

-the additional time-limit motive doesn’t make sense to me when it’s been ONE DAY since he introduced the first one!? it feels like a last resort, something to be used after they refused to take the bait. fits much better with a more stretched-out timeline, where they were in the school for a month or so with no murder before monokuma snapped and told them to kill or else.

-rantaro questions if he can even trust himself because of his missing memories. of course WE know he’s not gonna get hajime’d, but it’s a reasonable fear!

-”that’s why i didn’t want to talk about this in front of everyone...if we told them now, they might all try to find the mastermind, and be led to murder. that’s why...i could only tell you, kaede.” oh, shuichi......(┬┬﹏┬┬) kaede just goes dead silent after this too, before changing the subject. she doesn’t have a murder plan yet - she can’t have one, not before they’ve gone to the warehouse - but she’s certainly Considering Options.

What is the dumbest* way I saw spoilers?

*Dumbest is not an insult to the memes, just that it was a dumb way to get spoiled. My own fault for not blocking dr v3 stuff before I finished the game last year.

Here are two of them from dr v3. Under a readmore bc obviously SPOILERS. I still felt compelled to say it just in case someone skimmed this.

(If anyone has the links to these memes feel free to let me know)

1. Too early in chapter 2, I found out exactly how Ryoma would die through a wikihow meme that said "ways to save the family budget" with someone drowning a baby (that had Ryoma's face added to it). At first I thought it was a simple joke about Ryoma being short (🤦‍♀️), and I shared it with my sister (who had played the game before me). Then AFTER I shared it I saw that the person drowning the baby had Kirumi's glove...once I saw it, I stopped looking at the picture to avoid figuring out which character's glove that was. I had thought -correctly- that it was Kirumi's, but I didnt know for sure and I could still consider it being Korekiyo or another character who wears gloves that I didnt notice.

Anyway, I realized right away because there was a character drowning Ryoma that this was about a character's murder and Ryoma was going to die via being drowned in the pool, and most likely by Kirumi. Oof. The chapter was still a lot of fun and had a bunch of surprises, like when Ryoma ended up in the piranha tank. That scene still haunts me. They set it up soooo well! I could tell something bad would happen at the magic show, but that seemingly came out of nowhere! I assumed they would find him in the pool, and didnt know what chapter he would die in, so even if a part of me assumed it would be this chapter I still didnt expect him to be in the piranha tank in the middle of the magic show! I was actually worried at the time that Himiko was going to die, failing this trick. I shouldnt have doubted her magic.

My sister said nothing about this meme until I finished the chapter, and afterwards she said she had hoped I didnt see the spoilers in the meme and chose not to say anything. She was too late, but she made the right call.

2. This is even worse...I think around chapter 4 I saw a meme that said "girls who poop" with Izuru and Tsumugi and "girls who shit" with Junko. I was like "what is this meme?! And wait, what do these characters have in commo...masterminds. Ohhhh. Tsumugi is the mastermind. Dammit." OF ALL THE WAYS TO FIND OUT. GIRLS. THAT. POOP.

Anthony has always been the one to snap him out of his thoughts being the only one who actually grew with him. However when he comes home after some crazy DAWM adventure he always look around to see if marcus was home or not. If he wasn't mercury immediately began doing chores and cooking dinner for them then hid in his room to do some editing on somw videos his team made for youtube or finish some projects. If he was home however mercury better brace himself and prepare to defend himself with alchohol and rage in the air chances are he won't wake up without a bruise or a black eye the next day. This lasted until the day two events happen in the same day; Will getting shot and disappeared after escaping some fore incident and the pet sematary curse taking over both Marcus Black and Amthony Kurosaki. He's been adventuring with Emerald and Cinder ever since then. Still something haunts him. Something he missed. Something he's done. Find out what it is soon whenever I finally post DAWM on wattpad

What if the Danganronpa V3 Characters Were Given Digimon Partners? Pt 5

How has it already been almost a year?! I am so sorry that this took so long guys! School has been kicking my a** these past few months so I have had very little time to do any digimon research, and the little free time I had left me too drained to work on this. I enjoy doing these posts, but I didn’t want to spend my few hours of free time being frustrated because I can’t find a good digimon match. For some odd reason the V3 cast is extremely difficult. But I finally got Shuichi done! I had to be extremely careful since he and Kyoko have the same talent which strongly influences my choices. I know I said repeats were okay if the characters were from different casts, but I still want to at least try to make everything unique. It was a pain but I think I have a pretty good line. The more I look at it the more I like it, so let’s get started!

Rookie: Kudamon

So my reasons for this pick are not very complicated. I was looking around for possible digimon that I could use and when I saw Kudamon I thought “This looks like a digimon Shuichi would have. Let’s use it!” I don’t know why but Kudamon screams Shuichi for me and it deserves more attention. According to the digimon wiki It has a calm, cool, and collected personality, conducting a precise assessment of the situation even in combat and attaining the advantage of battle. I always imagined that Shuichi would either have a very calm or a very crazy partner, and I think the former suits him more. He needs a partner that is super calm, especially since Shuichi is so anxious. Kudamon’s analytical skills also seeming fitting for the partner of the Ultimate detective.

Champion: Deputymon

I will admit this is a goofy pick, but the more I look at it the more I like the idea of using Deputymon. Similar to Shuichi it has a strong sense of justice. I also realized that Shuichi is the only protagonist that has an allusion to truth bullets since Deputymon is literally a gun. (I already have a solid idea for Makoto and Hinata.) I need to have at least one protagonist with that theme and honestly I think Shuichi is the best protagonist for it. One of the biggest themes of Danganronpa V3 is truth vs lies. If any protagonist is going to have a truth bullets reference then it should be Shuichi for that reason. Also you know how I said I could see Shuichi having a crazy partner. Deputymon is usually portrayed to have a goofy personality and while I still think it would still be super serious, it makes me like this pick more even if it is silly.

It’s alternate evolution time! I’m not going to lie this was extremely difficult so my pick might not be the best. I’m the end I decided to go with Oryxmon.

For the sake of my sanity armor digivolutions will be treated as any other champion type digimon. I decided on Oryxmon because it’s a digi-egg of hope digivolution. Since Danganronpa has a whole hope vs despair theme I found it fitting to use one of them. After looking at them Oryxmon was the only one that looked like a good fit for Shuichi other than Pegasusmon which I already have plans to use for someone else. But Oryxmon is still a very Nobel digimon and the grey fits Shuichi’s aesthetic.

The Champion level is also where we get Shuichi’s dark digivolution. This was a pain in my a**. It was so difficult to find a digimon for this that if I didn’t think that it was essential for Shuichi to have a dark digivolution I would have given up! After literal hours of looking I decided on Shademon.

Would this have been a better pick for Junko? Possibly, but I will deal with that problem if I ever get to the original Danganronpa cast. But honestly I think Shademon would have a field day with Shuichi. It feeds on the despair of the people and digimon it haunts, and transforms it into its own nourishment. Shuichi already had a bunch of issues and insecurities before the killing game began so I can see those feelings manifesting into a dark digivolution that uses him a basically a human battery. Actually that would be a really coo arc in some sort of fan fiction now that I think about it. I was reluctant to use Shademon at first, but the more I look at it the more I think this fits.

Ultimate: Paildramon

I am ignoring that Paildramon is a DNA digivolution! If this was some sort of fanfiction Deputymon would digivolve into Paildramon naturally. It’s actually surprisingly common to find random Digimon in the anime that would ideally need another digimon or object to digivolve, so I still think this works. Out of the entire line the Ultimate was what was giving me the most trouble. I decided on Paildramon because it’s technically a main protagonist digimon, and Shuichi is the main protagonist of V3. Also the fusion contains Stingmon, who is Ken’s partner. For those of you who don’t know Ken becomes a detective, which is Shuichi’s ultimate. Why didn’t I use Stingmon for the Champion? Because finding an Ultimate was so hard that Paildramon felt like my only option. The Champion level did not have the same struggle.

Mega: Justimon

I honestly think the Mega was the easiest part for Shuichi. To me, Justimon feels like a very Shuichi digimon. It never lets an evil deed go unpunished, and is constantly fighting for others. I always felt like Shuichi stands for the same values, and is just more timid about it. In the final chapter of V3 he proclaims that even if everything is fake, the feelings and the hurt that he has gone through in Danganronpa are real. It is for that reason that Danganronpa must end. That screams justice to me.

Okay so Weiss stood that last stand thinking all her friends were dead. But now that she's in the beach void too she's the only person that knows all of her teammates are probably alive!

Yang fell first so she probably thinks she's all alone in this weird drug induced dream. Ruby and Blake fell together so they know they themselves and Yang are alive but they have no idea if Weiss survived or not. And judging how the battle was going when they both fell it's safe to assume that they probably think Weiss didn't survive.

Because Weiss was fighting Cinder Fall. Cinder killed Pyrrha. Cinder killed Ozpin. Cinder is a freakishly good fighter. She has only been shown to lose when she can't find the balance between her maiden powers and combat ability. After Watts roasted her(for which she promptly returned the favour.literally.) she is probably the strongest fighter sans Neo and the now Maiden Winter. She impaled Weiss back in volume 5 and I'd like to think that the memory of Weiss lying lifeless still haunts RBY. So literally the only person who knows that the rest are alive is Weiss.

So Ruby & Blake while hoping, are probably still battling the hopeless probability of Weiss surviving. Because a common running theme with fights that involve Weiss is that she will not hesitate to sacrifice herself if it means saving her friends. It happened back in V3 in the pairs fight with Yang and it happened again with Ruby in V8. So in Ruby and Blake's mind the chance that Weiss pulled martyr to save someone is an extreme possibility. And they know Weiss. They know that she's the most emotionally open in the team. They know she was barely holding on after Yang fell. They know that Weiss probably thought they were dead. They know that Weiss would fight on even after losing all of them even if it would break her inside cause that's Weiss Schnee. They know that Weiss would not hesitate to die for the people she loves.

What I'm trying to say is everyone but Weiss thinks that the team is dead so when our team actually reunites and they see each other if we don't get sobbing bear hugs I will sue.

Do you really think that he even thought of confessing to you? All those people he witnessed confessing to you made you extremely uncomfortable.

So there's no way that he's going to say it and be another person on this list. He's perfectly fine being your close friend. Actually it's more than enough.

It's a bit funny really. He doubts any possible feelings you may or may not have for him while you reject everyone just to be with him.

But it's not like he thought it'd be good for you to like him. Heck he thought that you being friends was a bit dangerous for you.

So even if you shared mutual feelings it doesn't really mean that he would accept it. There was a slight possibility that he'd reject you.

You were aware of this possibility, but you still wanted to try. You had to!

You had the flowers, the time and the place. Ryoma was a little early but it's not like you were possibly bothered by it.

He was a bit surprised to see you holding flowers but there was no way it could-

You turn towards him and give him the flowers. But the most shocking part was you asking him to date you.

He wanted to think that you're joking but he knew you weren't. His silence made you anxious.

"So... You rejected everyone because you liked me? Geez you have an odd taste kiddo" he joked still not believing it was happening "I might not deserve it but- I feel the same about you"

Gonta Gokuhara

It was a bit weird when people had the guts to confess to you while you were hanging out with him.

The fact that someone wanted to tell you something while you spend time with him didn't bother him... But the fact that it made you uncomfortable did.

So he wanted to help you. Picking less crowded places, trying to make you appear busy. He asked if you agreed for him doing so. The second you change your mind he'll stop.

But you had just the thing that would stop at least the ones that are decent and know when to back off.

And it's of course confessing to Gonta and if he likes you back your relationship will be official right away.

You didn't do it to use him obviously- you liked him for a long time and what I just said was a joke.

You wanted this to be special since he was special. You thought about your favorite places and found a perfect option.

There was a lake where you often could see lots of dragonflies. And although it's not his favorite kind of a bug this lake is one of the first special places he took you to. So it had that sentimental points.

When he showed up you decided to first have a warm conversation before you told him how you feel.

The grass was soft but not as soft as he felt when you told him this. He was overjoyed and did speak ever so slightly louder.

"Gonta would love to be with Y/N! Gonta swears to make Y/N happy everyday!"

Now it was time to make that thought into reality! And you had a silly plan that probably would work.

You were listening to music together- but between the songs there was one audio file of your confession.

While you cringed at the sound of your recorded voice he was shocked.

He didn't really believe what was happening so he asked if you recorded it. When you admitted to it he didn't really know how to react.

"I- uhm- I like you to. Sorry I just don't know what to say, I'm so happy!"

He was over the moon about his feelings for you actually, but he had no problem keeping it to himself.

Knowing how many people made you uncomfortable with their confessions he thought it'd be best if he waited it out and most importantly respect and ask what your feelings are in the first place.

He didn't really think when he asked if you liked anyone. But as he found out that yes, there was someone he was ready to support you.

Although he'd be lying if he said he wasn't jealous... Or angry about the fact that you won't tell him who you like.

He'd try to guess but he couldn't. At that point he thought that he did guess at one point and you just said no anyways.

You knew that with him you had to be straightforward. Of course he probably would be able to tell your intentions but it'd be ideal to let him know without having to worry if he thinks it's platonic.

So you were ready for anything even to bluntly correct him.

When you were hanging out he noticed that you were acting a bit differently and he thought it was becouse he was forcing you to tell him who do you like so you're trying to be cautious around him.

So he apologized for that and ended up giving a few hints that he might like you back.

It gave you some confidence boost so you had a perfect opportunity to strike, and that's exactly what you did.

"What!? It was me all that time!?... You could've just said so. I was worried that I'll never get to tell you how I feel"

Shuichi Saihara

He tried to pay no attention to all those people who declare their love to you. Some were flashy with their confession while some just told you about their feelings.

He was a bit jealous over all those admirers... Not because you had so many. It was because he wished to be as brave as them and tell you how he feels.

But it's not like he could easily admit to it himself. He just didn't know what to say and with each admirer he became more and more scared.

One day he just asked- okay more just blurted out the question if you liked someone.

You weren't lying when you said yes, but you needed some time before you tell him you-know-what.

So his any interest to confess to you was out of the window. But he prepared himself to support you and your future partner.

His question prompted you to step up and finally confess. Since he's definitely going to start guessing.

That was what you assumed, Shuichi didn't actually want to know who you fell for. He only "knew" that it wasn't him.

You decided to confess in a bit risky way. What I mean is: you left a confession letter inside a novel you let him borrow. It could fall out at any time!

You were worried this might happen but soon enough you got a message from him.

He would call you and thought a lot about doing so but he knew he'd be at loss of words so he just decided to text you instead.

"Do you really like me?" this was a sign that he did in fact get your letter.

After that you texted for a while but as to his feelings for you, he decided that he'll try to tell you in person.

Rantaro Amami

He never paid much attention to his feelings. So even when he realized that he's in love he knew he shouldn't say anything.

Looking how many people you rejected he thought you weren't interested in anyone at all.

Of course there were some people you considered strangers. But there were few that were close to you too.

And hey being friends with you was super fun. So why should he make things awkward by letting know how he feels?

You can't have everything in the world and for Rantaro just your smile was enough.

While he set his feelings aside you were preparing yourself to confess.

You decided to strike at a perfect time. The beautiful sight before you (other than Rantaro obviously) the warm atmosphere...

You said it. Without regrets, you couldn't stop yourself. He was a bit surprised but he didn't let you wait long for his answer.

"Hah... I don't really know what to say at a time like this... Can I kiss you instead and let it be my answer?"

Kokichi Ouma

He saw you reject people so often he swears he knows the outcome just by the look on your face. Even when you politely decline and show no signs that you'll say no he still can tell.

If someone really messes it up he's gonna joke about this later with you. He just wanted to make you laugh so you won't have to worry about it much.

You might not like the idea so much but it happened when someone crossed the line and made you feel uncomfortable so you didn't feel that bad...

And it DEFINITELY doesn't make him anxious about confessing... Impossible- he would never.

Of course he's not like those idiots who don't even know you. And in the end he can turn it into a joke if he messes it up.

But the memory would probably haunt him and not let him sleep at night, so he rathers not risking it.

So you had to make the move. It was a bit hard but you knew how to get to him. You had to wait for your "making fun of people who confessed to you" session to do that.

That's when you mentioned that you were interested in someone and now it was the best time to make things obvious.

He was ready to tease the living shit out of you and hoped you'd share the news. But you made him guess.

It was interesting to hear the names he'd assume before himself. So you spoiled the fun.

"Aww Y/N I almost got it! That's not fair" he crossed his arms "But since you're really dying to be with me I suppose I can entertain you from now on in a bit different way"

Korekiyo Shinguji

He's observant and he's pretty sure somehow he saw all of the confessions so far. Some were creative while some incredibly creepy.

He did make a joke once about you being so popular just to see your reaction. It was interesting that you rejected everyone even those he assumed you were close with.

A little tease like this can show him how you view those interactions. He wanted to know if you find it amusing or heartbreaking.

Whatever your answer was he acknowledged it and knew that from now on it'd be better to keep his feelings to himself.

He was entertained enough just being with you as you were so he didn't really care that he has to ignore his heart's call.

You were beautiful, the special kind of beauty within you was something he could witness every day. What more he could ask for?

Only if he knew what you were up to... It'd ruin the surprise!

You studied the language of flowers just so when you give him the special bouquet you'd tell him meaning of each flower.

He was of course already aware of those but since you were telling them about it he knew that it was supposed to mirror your feelings.

"To believe that I was blind to your feelings all this time... Let me make this up to you"

oh boy i am gonna talk about my experience with danganronpa v3 and the ending. tldr i loved it and am incredibly haunted by it! now where do i begin

First off, if you wanna get your friends into danganronpa, stream the game on sporadic discord/zoom calls with everyone (my friends and i were a group of 5), and get everyone to narrate the characters. trust me. It may take you guys months but prolonging it makes the brainrot last longer! It's crazy how quickly we formed attachments to the students too because we're all having fun with these destructive teenage characters, and we all get to hang out and goof around again like we did in college irl before early 2020 went down

did i also mention drv3 is my introduction into this bonkers series? yea. what a great way to start! I was really rooting for kaede from the start....after class trial 1 i was hooked on the series and then prozd and jay started their dr1 playthrough, so it was a great time to get started on hyperfixating on this series in may.

also after class trial 1, i went on the danganronpa wiki page so i could read more about kaede. No new fan...should do what i did. i read like one sentence about everyone's memories being fabricated and i just. stopped and tried to purge it from memory cause i really didnt want to get spoiled further ahjfjdjfdkj

also do not look up their sprites on the wiki page, or google i guess. i looked up tsumugi and.

right there. it was unavoidable. i knew tsumugi was the mastermind and had to try purging that memory too. fortunately, it happened to most of my friends too while they were looking for refs of tsumugi to draw hAHA

so. by the time we finished class trial 5 (and ho fucking boy. class trial 5 took us till 3am on a weekday cause we all desperately wanted to know who the fuck was in that exisal and what really happened), I had known these spoilers:

- everyone's backstories are fake, flashback lights created false memories

- rantaro's title is the ultimate survivor (idk. what it really meant. i just thought he was like bear grylls or smth)

- tsumugi is the mastermind

we were all already playing along that tsumugi was the mastermind and calling her out on her pretend bullshit during investigation for chapter 6, it was very fun

class trial 6...we were all already unsurprised when tsumugi revealed herself to be junko. but we didnt expect that she was still,,, cosplaying. we didnt expect the entire thing to be cosplay, or the previous dr games to be fictional within this fictional universe...or that everyone pregame were volunteering themselves for this truman show killing game.....or the whole undertale-esque breaking the 4th wall gameplay. that was siiiick all of that was so fucking cool

anyway. danganronpa v3.......what a nice send-off. I feel like the ending was a warning for fans who get too immersed in any form of media, but it kinda makes it funnier to think about pregame characters now. they were all huge weebs!!!!! they might've been wanting to throw away their lives cause they needed an escape! the ending leaves a lot to think about too, like how shuichi, maki and himiko are gonna cope with the knowledge that everything they thought they knew and were was a lie. i wanna draw...so much fanart. i get why people love this series now.

cant believe i thought danganronpa series was a meme cause of all the komaeda x sans memes my friends were sending. this series is great. drag more of your friends into it tbh, but uh. make sure everyone's like college-age lmao be safe with this heavy stuff

Sayaka Maizono

♡ Her passion for her career and friends.

✘ The way she tries to screw over Makoto when the game had just begun. Like wait and see what happens before screwing over such a great guy? Leon didn’t deserve it either.

Leon Kuwata

♡ His voice actor (English), and how real and human his execution was in that we all would be so scared and irrational. It was just so iconic and sad as it’s our first introduction to the death in this series and we all think: “shit, this is real... they are really killing these kids.” I didn’t think it would be that brutal, just seeing his body limp at the end with the haunting music.

✘ His design is disgusting. I hate how he looks.

Chihiro Fujisaki

♡ So innocent, so kind, so intelligent

✘ Shouldn’t have been killed for such a stupid reason, also they did Mondo dirty with that motive for killing as well. Just a mess. As for the actual character, Chihiro cries right off the bat when you do your introductions and that was kind of annoying to me personally.

Mondo Oowada

♡ He has a lot of respect, understanding and emotions for someone I thought would be a hard-ass douche biker.

✘ The worst motive to kill ever in a game where you know you’re getting executed if you’re found out. Like you’d be extra careful and that’s his reason to kill? Lazy writing.

Celestia Ludenberg

♡ Bad bitch energy and her goth lolita design.

✘ Manipulation and double murder. Bad bitch energy only goes so far. Confidence is different then selfishness. Also, of all the chapter 3 triple murders... the worst motive to kill.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru

♡ Emotions: secure in his masculinity, able to cry, show emotions, and apologize when he’s wrong. He’s funny and likable.

✘ The Ishimondo white hair thing was stupid. Taka was fine on his own.

Hifumi Yamada

♡ Writing takes talent, fan fiction as much as any other style or genre. Also the talent of his voice actor (who also voices Kiibo/K1-B0).

✘ Literally everything else about him.

Sakura Oogami

♡ I love everything about her. I love her wisdom, loyalty, design, voice etc. Just step on me, mother.

✘ Why the hell would she ever agree to be a spy even if it meant the end of her dojo? I just don’t think she would do that rationally because she isn’t selfish. The others would suffer for her spying. She remedies this with redemption in her letter in chapter 4 but still she should’ve said no off the bat. Everyone had something to lose. The dojo wasn’t worth spying for monokuma. Also I just don’t think she would commit suicide. She can’t help the remaining students survive and redeem herself truly if she’s dead.

Kyoko Kirigiri

♡ Bad bitch energy, calm and collected when I could never be.

✘ Especially in future arc of the anime, damn can you show some emotion please? Through your words and expressions not just your actions. Sure she was willing to “die” for Makoto but like I just want more emotion from her sometimes, even in THH.

Makoto Naegi

♡ So pure. I Love Bryce Papenbrook. Makoto reminds me of Sora and I love his design.

✘ In THH I didn’t mind his innocence but in the Danganronpa 3 future arc anime, when people started straight up abusing him and accusing him, he needed to grow a little backbone.

Byakuya Togami

♡ Love my dad, king shit, also love how over the progression of the games and animes he becomes a little more kind to his friends.

✘ Why the fuck did he mess with Chihiro’s body? Just so cruel and disrespectful.

Yasuhiro Hagakure

♡ Funny magic man. Sexy voice.

✘ Please. Please Hiro use your brain just once. Why do we have to prove Kyoko isn’t a ghost?!

Toko Fukawa

♡ Character development in UDG and I love Genocider.

✘ Putting down herself and others constantly gets old in THH.

Aoi Asahina

♡ Love her voice actress and her personality

✘ We really just gonna get everyone killed in chapter 4 huh? Surely you know they don’t all deserve that.

Junko Enoshima

♡ A very memorable villain with great hair and design.

✘ I just can’t stand her. I hate her so much.

Mukuro Ikusaba

♡ Her mercenary background is super cool as a concept.

✘ Too bad it wasn’t explored nearly enough.

Hajime Hinata

♡ Seeing the protagonist be a little less naive, innocent and positive than Makoto was a refreshing change, although I loved Makoto. I liked Hajime’s cynicism and expressions that sometimes just screamed “this shit again, huh?”

✘ I enjoy the way Izuru looks but I hate him as a character. He is sexy to look at but Hajime is just a better character overall

Teruteru Hanamura

♡ His love for his family and mother especially is so cute and heart breaking if you know the full story.

✘ He needs to know when to dial it back and quit with the perversions. And no it’s not just how he looks, Miu needs to chill at times, too.

Twogami

♡ I feel like he genuinely cares about his friends, just hides it well

✘ His death felt like a cop out and poorly written. It just didn’t sit right with me. Also his design is disgusting to me, his outfit and such.

Mahiru Koizumi

♡ Loyal to her close friends.

✘ I just have no interest in her as a character and I find her boring.

Peko Pekoyama

♡ Loyalty. Loyalty is something I value very highly in every form of relationship. Peko is also very hot.

✘ Come on girl... I know how you were raised but you should’ve known Fuyuhiko didn’t think of you as just a tool and you two should’ve expressed your true feelings long ago. Like even in secret. How do you live like this? Also I feel like killing Mahiru could’ve been avoided with a calm talk.

Ibuki Mioda

♡ Cute design, positive vibes.

✘ Cringe sometimes in the way she talks.

Hiyoko Saionji

♡ Beautiful character design and some very good insults and snarky remarks at times.

✘ Just irredeemably mean and annoying. Even when you do her free time events she is just so annoying.

Mikan Tsumiki

♡ I like her design as well as her hair, expressions, sprites and clothing.

✘ I hate her. I just hate her whether she’s in her true psycho form or timid stuttering form. She’s just annoying in my opinion.

Nekomaru Nidai

♡ So supportive, can hold my drink at a party. Respects everyone and wants the best for them.

✘ Bro Mechamaru was a stupid plot point. I just couldn’t stand looking at him and couldn’t take it seriously. Still sad when he died though.

Chiaki Nanami

♡ From chapter 5 of sdr2 on she is impossible not to love if you didn’t already. Just the selflessness, the sadness of the reveal and execution, how she returns to help Hajime at the end???? I love her. I love her hair design, color palette, her personality, everything.

✘ I’m bitter and miserable about her being the only class member to actually die (the despair arc anime) also her falling asleep at random times is kind of odd and she doesn’t seem to be like that later on in the game??? Like it seemed like a cheap joke but not actually who she is? Hard for me to explain.

Gundham Tanaka

♡ King shit, couldn’t praise him enough. He’s sexy, loves animals, and is funny as hell sometimes. His voice actor is a saint and a cool dude and I named my guinea pigs after the Dark Devas (yes I know they are hamsters in the games.)

✘ Come on dude. I get that being from Hell and magic and having evil powers is your shtick, but we all know that you and Nekomaru sacrificed yourselves so the others wouldn’t starve. We know you care about your classmates. There comes a time when it’s time to let personas and facades fade and be true to your heart. I just feel like him denying he cared at the end hurt. We all know he cared. I didn’t like how he was haughty until the end. He deserved better. I love him.

Nagito Komaeda

♡ I love him so much. So cunning and intelligent, always a step ahead. And he’s big sexy.

✘ Him killing himself in chapter 5 hurt me so bad I was like in denial for days. Also hate how Bryce Papenbrook gives him a raspy stoner psycho voice in the game then a light airy higher-pitched voice in the despair arc anime. It just bothers me. I love his voice still but the inconsistency just hurts my OCD

Sonia Nevermind

♡ I love that she’s so interested in her passions and love her feelings for Gundham

✘ Her outfit and bow are atrocious. Also why didn’t she start liking and talking to Gundham sooner on? Their romance bloomed late and it would’ve made for a better chapter 4 ending if they were a bit closer.

Kazuichi Souda

♡ Cool design and outfit, love his voice (also voices Kaito in V3) and his backstory is relatable at times. He’s also very human in that he’s scared a lot of the time or insecure or blames others in panicked situations. It’s not always a good thing but it’s human and realistic.

✘ Gosh he can be so annoying. Sometimes flirting or whining too much is well... too much.

Akane Owari

♡ Strong-willed and definitely someone I would be friends with

✘ What the hell is her outfit? Gymnasts and athletes don’t wear that shit. Stop objectifying her when it doesn’t even make the product or plot better. Like there’s absolutely no point to making her dress that way. I was a gymnast for 15 years. Even those who do parkour (which Akane seems to do more often than actual gymnastics in the anime and game) don’t wear what she wears. Also she’s underrated.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu

♡ I love him. He’s the DR character I’m most like out of all the games and anime. Tenko is a close second. I think he’s adorable, love his character arc, development, redemption, and love his voice.

✘ In the anime/despair arc, Fuyuhiko is not done justice. He doesn’t get enough lines, has a different voice actor, just doesn’t give off the same vibes.

Izuru Kamakura

♡ Sexy man long hair good.

✘ Boring character. I wish he were just Hajime.

Kaede Akamatsu

♡ Loyalty and leadership are such attractive qualities in her. Also she faced her death with such class and dignity and I respect her because I could never.

✘ Some of the voice lines Erika does for her are just weird and cringe. Just random moans or grunts... I don’t know it’s like when Ann Takamaki from Persona 5 (also voiced by Erika) makes suggestive noises as well. Just grinds my gears. Also hate her outfit down to the hair pins.

Shuichi Saihara

♡ I respect him and feel bad for his outlook on life and for how poorly he views himself. I love his little hat as well and he’s the first “different styled” character (Hifumi, Bandai, Teruteru) that I liked the design of.

✘ I hate when he says “got a long ways to go,” it’s overused and annoying, and wish he gave himself more credit. Also hate that when you first meet him he warns you that he’s killed people and is dangerous to be around. Come on buddy, you know you wouldn’t hurt your friends. Stop pushing them away.

Kirumi Tojo

♡ Competence, well rounded, skillful

✘ Boring as hell. I wouldn’t waste one free time event on her.

Angie Yonaga

♡ Dark skin, super cute, love her talent as an artist myself.

✘ Gives religious people a bad name and is super manipulative which I hate.

Tenko Chabashira

♡ I relate to her and feel bad when she’s misunderstood. She’s a good person deep down. Also love her sprites.

✘ There’s more cunning, funny and clever ways to write her digs at men.

Korekiyo Shunguuji

♡ I’m in love with this man. Long hair, voice, mystery, mask, intelligence, passion, talent.

✘ He definitely was a victim of abuse and a lot of people refuse to see that and just hate him. Team Danganronpa should’ve given him a redemption arc where he realized his sister abused him and changed.

Gonta Gokuhara

♡ I love his design except for his suit. Also he’s so cute and naive. I cried for his trail.

✘ No need talk like caveman. Better way to do this.

Kokichi Ouma

♡ Like Nagito, I value his intelligence and crazy cunning.

✘ Shouldn't have died. Also shouldn’t have manipulated Gonta. That was just cruel.

Miu Iruma

♡ She has her hilarious moments and her death surprised me and was sad.

✘ Sometimes she lacks basic empathy, i.e. calling Tenko “Tencrotch” when she just fucking died.

Maki Harukawa

♡ Amazing character development. Didn’t see her surviving until the end at the start. Also her love and passion for Kaito.

✘ “Do you wanna die?” gets old.

Kaito Momota

♡ Just the overall best bro you could ever have.

✘ Has some toxic masculinity issues and anger issues.

K1-B0

♡ Pretty much everything about him. His design, his attitude and personality, especially how amazing and cool he is chapter 5 onward, his execution made me so sad. He’s so innocent and funny without trying.

✘ When you do his free time events he’s very arrogant and just talks about himself a lot... it seems odd and not similar to the Kiibo we see throughout the game.

Himiko Yumeno

♡ Super cute design, love her voice and “Nyeh...” and her sprites. Her character development is great as well.

✘ Why did they take so long to make her important and likable?

(also definitely not the perfect excuse to draw this AU again because I just watched the ‘24 film and hooo boy am I thinking about these heteros once again) THANK YOU SM FOR THE ASK AND THE INTEREST IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME

For like all my Shinnaga stuff I tend to see his sister as The Big Bad Villain and I think when I watched Phantom of the Opera this absolutely solidified what type of villain I like to utilize her as the most--one whom Kiyo was genuinely in love with and wishes only to drag him away from Angie [dabs]. Not to say Yandere Miyadera but I am saying Yandere Miyadera

Super long embarrassing ramble about this AU under the cut :]

You asked about the roles so here we goooo. I know characters and roles differ from each movie and I haven’t read into the book enough to know what’s “canon” for everyone in the original story but here’s what I’m throwing out so far LOL. Mainly based off the 2004 Film.

Korekiyo: Christine Daaé Little self explanatory, I know there’s not much in the way of them being Similar other than the huge blinding light of “I am being used and abused by my significant other; whom everyone, including me at some point, assumed and fully accepted was a ghost haunting me and killing everyone around me so they can have me all to themself.” Kiyo is a lot more timid and paranoid in this AU as well, he’s quite fragile because I tend to think of Miyadera as his only support system and here it’s Especially Wack/Damaged in a Whole New Way, especially with his over looming fear that she’s going to murder Angie.

Miyadera: The Phantom / Erik Curse you, lyrics, if you didn’t write yourself the way you did I probably wouldn’t have realized how perfect this AU is. For what I headcanon Miyadera being it’s just Very Fitting, they’re both using Kiyo/Christine for their own gains while simultaneously falling madly unhealthily in love with them. I prefer the ending where The Phantom learns to let go and lives in the shadows once more, rather than the ending of him being heckign Murdered by the whole town, but for this AU I’m honestly not sure what I lean to more because I can’t see her just letting Kiyo go LOL.

Angie: Raoul AUAUAUAUAUAUUU HERE IT COMES HERE’S THE SHIP [POINTS LOUDLY] they’re SO in love. I’ll say what we’re all thinking--the only way to make Raoul an even better character is to make him a short, bubbly, manic, crossdressing woman of color, am I right or am I right-- For almost all my Shinnaga stuff, again, I think of Kiyo as initially being very standoffish and purposely trying to push Angie away out of fear of what Miyadera would do if they became a thing ((though he obviously wants them to become a thing ((angie help)))), and with Christine(Kiyo) being so upfront like “You mustn’t see me ever again” I like to imagine Angie’s reaction to that in this AU is like “Hmmmm, no thank you, Angie will come back tomorrow for kiss nyahaha :3″. Just the idea of her running around, riding on horses, digging through the sewers of a long forgotten medieval torture chamber; all with a wide-ass smile on her face because she’s like “SAVE BF SAVE BF SAVE BF” is very quaint.

Miu?: Carlotta Her personality in the ‘04 one is so Miu-core and she’s kind of a bonch either way so it works LOL. Miu just wants to be a star so bad 😔

Tsumugi: Madame Giry I mostly big-brained this idea because of witnessing her being like a weird mother figure as she rescued the orphaned Phantom, I like the idea of Tsumugi laying low and just watching the chaos unfold as she’s like “hehe,,,the only reason Miyadera is alive and wrecking everything is because I saved her life,,,this is just plain perfect!!” Yet still helping Angie find Kiyo+Miya’s whereabouts underground just to help progress the fun little story that she’s just so happy to be a part of.

Tenko? Himiko? no one??: Meg Giry Obviously not Tsumugi’s daughter but LOL- Honestly from what I’ve watched and have been reading up on the Wiki she’s really not much of a character, all I really recall is her being Christine’s closest/only friend in ‘04? So I liked the idea of throwing out another Chapter 3 character for the fun of it, but idk LMAO. Maybe Kiyo’s just even more of a loner and I’ll just throw the whole cast of v3 to be more Opera singers and dancers in the background WHO KNOWS. Kiyo MIGHT have friend rights.

Christine talks about her deceased father and because I headcanon Kiyo and Miya to be orphans, I thought it was only fitting that in this AU Korekiyo talks about his deceased parents AND deceased sister, who just so happens to be Very Much Alive and just so happens to NOT be her ghost haunting him for the past decade. Even more trauma-worthy if Kiyo swears he witnessed his sisters death 🤫🤫🤫 Thanks a lot for quietly and stealthily saving her and creating a monster, Tsumugi, props to you. what would go wrong?? Maybe that same “death” incident is the reason Miyadera wears a mask 😏 scar time!!
