What you told me really helped soothe the pain I had inside of me, pain that had been there for a long long time. I told two of my closest friends about it, and they were accepting of it and told me it's okay and that they know I'm not the kind of person that would hurt someone or something, and that they still love me. I did break crying and apologized for doing what I did, speaking of the situation with the real life porn and the things I did when I was young. We all agreed that, in the end, I didn't hurt anyone myself, and I am not going to go back into that type of content never in my life, so I shouldn't worry about hurting anyone, for I won't do it.

I miswrote something on the last ask and I wanted to clarify that, but you're right and I do know there are anti contact paraphiles who do not think that harming people or animals is alright, I wouldn't want you to think I think otherwise, but I did miswrite it and gave the opposite impression. Like I said, I still am and will always be supportive of paraphiles and I am aware they do not choose their attraction. Actions are what matter.

Thank you, for bringing some sort of peace into my life. I don't think I would've dared to open up to my friends about it otherwise, and I would've lived for a long time thinking I deserved to be hated, or worse and that I deserved to die, for things I did when I was young. Guilt is something I've struggled with for issues other than this one, and I know that it's a hard thing to get over, if you ever get over it at all, but this is a step. I still want my other friends to know, but I think I'm calm about two of them knowing for now. I want to live at ease, with a clear conscience and with honesty, and you've helped me give one step towards mental peace, if it really exists, and I like to thing it does, for all humans everywhere.

This is not the last time you'll hear about me, for I am actually a friend of yours, a mutual. I didn't dare come off anon because I'm still kind of ashamed, but I wanted you to know that I am a friend, and you're a beloved friend of mine, despite the fact that we do not speak that much. I owe you, and I know you didn't offer me kind words or acceptance or gentleness in search of payment, but I am still grateful for them and if you ever need anything from me, I'll be there.

It's good to move past guilt, and I think very difficult. Guilt is a very complicated emotion, and it takes a lot of work to fully be rid of a heavy guilt burden. But every step counts.

You are not obligated to come off anon if you do not want to, always remember to put your safety and comfort first. ESPECIALLY on the internet where people can be cruel behind a facade of anonymity. Sometimes it is better for peace of mind to get things off your chest without publicly connecting them to yourself; and this is a large part of why I keep anon asks on despite some of the very insane hatemail I get.

I appreciate the offer ^^ but to be honest with you, I'm not a selfless helper. I like to help others because it allows me to improve someone's life and actually actively do something with the skills and knowledge I have. One, because there are a lot of things I am not able to fix in my life due to factors outside of my control entirely-- helping others lends a helpful distraction and ability to exercise power in a useful way where I can. And two, because I get bored and boredom is among the most awful things to feel. Hearing about other people's problems can be interesting, and doubly giving advice or comfort can be engaging and flex my frankly underused brain muscles a bit.

If and when I die, maybe I have motivated even one person to live more freely, happily, etc. I do not plan to have children. If I die before my writing can reach very many people, that legacy is in the wind. But having helped someone is a legacy that will carry even if I die tomorrow. And I've always been ambitious, so I am very much interested in leaving something behind for many years to come. I don't need to be remembered when I die, but I want the universe to remember my spirit in the echo of cause and effect.

some native speakers may do this, but most commonly you just fingerspell (signing one letter at a time) the name you were given for a spoken language such as english!

so, an intro probably looks something like "HELLO. MY NAME A-N-O-N"

non-fingerspelled names do exist, yes, but often change a lot! its also often considered EXTREMELY disrespectful for non-native ASL speakers to try and come up with a non-fingerspelled sign name

my madame rouge lore!!! im having... feelings

Laura De Mille, now mainly known as Madame Rouge, was a french actress popular in america for her antagonistic and 'jealous lover' roles before her accident. she often served as the foil to Rita Farr's protagonists, something she originally loved, as she enjoyed working with Rita in a way she couldn't quite word... but it caused her to gain much undeserved ire from Rita's fan base, sending hatemail and threats that she kept secret to avoid the role of 'drama monger' seemingly determined for her by those fans.

her movie roles soon tinted her actual life and everyone’s treatment of her, causing her to grow distant and hermit-like, and when Rita Farr's accident hit the news, many outlets blamed Laura, even though she had gone out of her way to refuse any role in the movie in hope to avoid more harassment.

in response, she very publicly announced that she would no longer do american movies, calling out everyone from Rita's fans to the movie casters that constantly made her into an antagonist to feed off of the hate for her to make profit. she announced her move back to france in public... but making the drive to the airport, she was in a horrible car accident (looking back now, perhaps one premeditated...), traumatizing her and breaking several of her limbs, the worst of which her right ankle. she recovered in america against her wishes, never speaking a word to anybody that visited. trapped, many tried to get her to apologize, threatening her career in france, and in response she cut off everyone she knew in the business, throwing away all the gifts and fake notes of sympathy. as soon as she could, she back to her home city of paris.

still ever silent, she took over an acting school for girls from an aging family friend, teaching pantomime and how to use proper body language to perform any manner of role. one day, she received a letter from one Niles Caulder, inviting her to a 'Doom Patrol'. as she looked into the offer, she made a horrifying realization: Rita Farr, who had disappeared after her incident, was a member of this strange organization.

knowing she could never, ever, ever properly be by the side of the woman she once looked up to, once even loved, without the strain of their previous roles pulling at them, she put herself into the search for another way to be near her. not too long after, she found the Brotherhood of Evil, as the Brain attempted to find other potential victims of Caulder.

while Laura is still partially nonverbal, her allegiance with the Brotherhood has helped her open up more to her students and teammates, allowing her to fill in and flesh out this role of 'evil' she'd been trapped in since early in her career, feeling more human... especially so as she took on similar powers to Rita, though manifesting more angular and 2 dimensional, flattening pieces or her whole self and folding herself into others' features or into weapons to fight the Doom Patrol. she notably focuses on fighting Rita, often ignoring the other members as she spouts threatening, almost silly lines implying the deep seated rivalry she'd been carrying since their first movie together. Rita doesn't know what to do, since Laura refuses to properly speak to her, but it's so, so, so frustrating.

Tbh I kinda think B99 is especially effective at spreading cop propaganda *because* it's such a good show. It has a wide following and it seems generally progressive because of its episodes on race and sexuality (and in those ways it *is* progressive), so it appeals to more people. And that's exactly *why* it's effective at spreading cop propaganda: people love it and hold it to a high standard, so they don't want to question it for fear of losing it as a "unequivocally and morally good" show

Honestly, yeah, I would imagine so.

I know it’s a meme, but no one is immune to propaganda. And propaganda coming from sources you trust and love is a lot more effective. It’s cool to think you’re immune--by which I mean, it’s literally seen as a cool and popular move that gathers social credit--but you’re not. People who think they’re propaganda proof are significantly more likely to be taken in by propaganda. Because you’ve convinced yourself that you don’t need to think critically about the messaging being presented to you. Which is, like, half the work already done.

Add in the fact that people with very strong emotions are also much easier to manipulate--and the fact that I received a rousing total of 69 messages last night (eyyy), of which 61 were hatemail--and a pretty clear picture begins to emerge.

People will defend the institution of the police in the US, and furiously so, as long as they can couch it in terms of popular media and progressive language. Regardless of the facts.

But then, in the end, facts were never as effective at convincing people as feelings.

It’s why propaganda is so powerful.

And it’s why progressive and leftist people need to get our collective shit together and start making our own counter-propaganda to help erode this insidious conservative and authoritarian messages.

So I guess that I need to address something

I have received, over the last 48 hours, a number of perhaps well-meaning messages accusing me of being both a terrible person and an art thief.

I may indeed be a terrible person (who am I to judge my own character? Can I be trusted to do so without bias?), but I am not an art thief.

So friends, enemies, ambivalent readers who don’t really care one way or the other, and one/several well-meaning but overly-hostile anon(s), please allow me to clear something up: I am @artist-the-dragon. That is my art blog. I have many side blogs, all of which follow the same naming convention, “[very obtuse single-word name about the theme of the blog]-the-dragon,” including such subtle brilliance as @dungeon-the-dragon, where I make DnD posts, @science-the-dragon, where I post about science and engineering stuff, and @fiction-the-dragon, where I post about writerly things. I keep many sideblogs, and sometimes, I mix them up or accidentally make a post to my main instead of the sideblog... like I did with the post where I allege that my drawing of the muppet-headed dragon who skipped leg day “is objectively my best art post, yall are just cowards,” which I believe is what started this mess.

I appreciate the fact that yall let me know over at @artist-the-dragon, however, I am absolutely mortified at the idea that if someone actually had been stealing my art, you would have sent absolutely ludicrously vicious anon hate to that person in my name. Rest assured, I am an adult who can pick my own battles, and who would like to choose for myself the level of incivility to which I will escalate the issue.

I don’t know why I keep having to say this, but the words “kill yourself,” or any variation thereof, better not ever fly from the keyboards of any of my followers and into anyone else’s inbox. I don’t care what the reason for it is. That phrase is the absolute worst thing you can ever say to anyone, and it reflects very poorly on your character when you do. And you damn-sure better not ever use language like that in my defense. Ever. Period. That isn’t okay. I’ve discussed at length why it isn’t okay several times. Cool it the fuck down.

Now, I’m grateful that I have concerned followers who want to let me know about it when they see someone who seems to be stealing my art. That’s good, and you absolutely should let an artist know if it looks like someone is reposting that artist’s work without credit and claiming it as their own, because that sort of shit is not okay to do either. But please, I promise that I am not stealing art from @artist-the-dragon.

So please, please, please... I would very much like to stop receiving hatemail in my inbox written on my own behalf. While it is an amusing thing to think about, it is also very confusing to get.

This has been a PSA. Thank you. That is all.

Tl/dr: I am @artist-the-dragon, and @artist-the-dragon is me. I haven’t stolen anyone’s art. And if you think that it is ever acceptable to tell a person to kill themselves, that they’re worthless, and that no one will ever love them, then you better unfollow me right the fuck now, because I will not have that kind of needlessly hateful behavior being in any way associated with me.

I have been actually writing a compilation thing for VVGG/Kpop AU before you sent this, hahaha! I’ve loved Kpop for a long time and I decided to pour in things I know to make an elaborate AU. I hope it’s okay owo

(There’s a short glossary under a readmore in the end of this, in case you’re not into K-pop and you have no clue what I’m talking about)

- mod ash

VVGG is as traditional asany K-Pop group, they were formed by a company consisting of several talents inthe industry after a good amount of training. The group started off with just Ash, Ying, and Skye, and theirdebut album consists of just the three of them, but they released a full albumwhen Evie and Maeve joined.

For their fandom – official name “VERse”, unofficial name “Saltshakers” – theyhave a weekly reality series called VERTV on Youtube and Korean SNS where mediafollows them around on their spare time, doing things like going out to relaxor playing video games with other members. Some of the members are very social-media savvy and also vlog on their own free time, while some of them also had their own fanbases before they got into the group.

Ash. Leader, Lead Vocals,Lead Rapper

Sheis new to being an idol, but not in the entertainment industry.

Afterleaving her overly uptight military home, she explores other things to dobefore being an entertainer. She’s been a solo singer and rapper for a fewyears before deciding that her vision in music can not be satisfied alone.

Beingthe leader figure of the group she is no-nonsense, confident, anduncompromising, and always wants to “do something different”. However,she’s pretty much just the leader because she’s the oldest and had the mostexperience and training.

She’snot that social media savvy - many of her social media content barely has anyof her in it and mostly just consists of places she went to and things shedoes. It doesn’t help that she usually hides from the cameras when VERTV is onor when someone else is vlogging. Many of her fans are desperate for anycontent for her outside performances.

Shespeaks Korean fluently, and knows basic Russian and English. (read: Russian cursing and elementary-level English) She improves her English as time goes on.

Ying. Visual, Main Dancer

Sheis trained in theater, and was aiming to become an actress as she was trainingas a dancer but then decided against it and became an idol instead.

She’sconsidered very cute and adorable, and has modeled in several fashion lines asa result, usually wearing the final dresses in fashion shows and being inseveral designers’ lookbooks. The only downside to this is that she goes alittle against the gritty dark concept of the group, being known for her ownbubbly aesthetic, but she learns to adapt to a more elegant, darker look.

Sheloves being the Visual as she gets to explore other activities outside being anidol! Sometimes she still goes back to theater acting when not busy with thebusiness.

Shemostly sticks to Instagram with her social media, and usually the one takingthe most pictures in an event. She also takes very good, aesthetic-y pictures,and always offers to take pictures for the other members.

Primarilyspeaks Korean. She can’t be bothered to learn any other language.

Skye. Face of the Group,Lead Dancer

Aformer child actress, who later became a teenage sensation and began dancingalongside other K-Pop idols. She took a break to train to become a K-Pop idol,and debuted with Ying and Ash as her comeback.

Asthe Face of the Group, she plays along with what her fans like, being veryfanservice-y and being touchy-feely with the other members (when allowed). Sheknows her fans enjoy it, and she also knows that it confuses the hell out ofthem on who she likes. Also vlogs often and participates a lot on VERTVactivities, usually the one suggesting what to do on episode activities.

Herfans have almost literally seen her grow up, especially since she started offas a child actress, and so also have the more critical fans amongst the five ofthem.

SpeaksKorean, and knows a little English.

Evie. Main Vocalist, LeadDancer

Originallya youtube-based performer and singer, she later gotdiscovered by a K-pop idol and was able to perform alongside them in a musicvideo. This catapulted her in the industry, having several gigs to perform withstars, and was later offered to train to be a K-pop idol.

She has little clue about how Korean pop works when coming in, and later discovers that she will have next to noprivate life since almost everything will be recorded for fan consumption. Shejust decides to apply her time as a Youtuber and vlog for her fans often, doingthings like pranking them or doing challenge-style content just to make theexperience a little more pleasant for herself. Also is very active on VERTV episodes.

Knownto be very cheerful and playful, and many fans still consider her to be thetrue maknae even with Maeve around.

SpeaksKorean and intermediate English, but vastly prefers Korean.

Maeve. Main Rapper,Sub-Vocals, Maknae

Coming from the streets, Maeve came from poverty, being formerly involved in gangs and street crime. Being given a chance to correct her act, she took up rapping instead, which got her discovered to become VVGG’s newest member, and the industry’s best rapper.

Asthe maknae, she doesn’t really fulfill that role very well – she’s wayoutside what you would call cute and bubbly and young. She’s very spunky and rebellious, and even challenged Ash to a rap battle the second she joined. Despite this,many would find it hard to deny she’s one of the best rappers around, hence herbeing the new member of VVGG despite only knowing Korean basics.

Mostlyjust memes on Twitter. She doesn’t check social media much because she gets agood amount of hatemail. She still participates a lot in VERTV activities, though.

SpeaksFrench and English, and can barely speak Korean when she joined the group,which caused a lot of VVGG fans to dislike her. Eventually, she improves, andusually is designated translator on interviews. She has many fans outside Koreaas a result.

BONUS BECAUSE I CAN’T STOP MYSELF:

Tyra. She’s not in VVGG, butI wrote her anyway.

AFaroese folk singer, Tyra is popular in many Norse regions for beingexperimental, mostly performing in folk festivals and collaboration concertsexploring genre mixups. Her iconic vocals are somehow both lullaby-like andaggressive, depending on what she’s singing; this is a part of her Faroeseupbringing.

She’salso known as Untamed Music - expressed by her genre-mixing tendenciesand going for more experimental folk. Because she often collabs with other artistsand doesn’t really have a fixed team since she’s very indie, she uses the nameto refer to her work in general.

Outsidethe Nordic regions, most of her fans are either young history/fantasyenthusiasts or old people who likes folk music. She has tours sometimes whileperforming in small stages when she’s not busy with gigs, and often collabswith other artists on Nordic music fests.

Ashreally really likes Tyra’s work. In several episodes of VERTV, Ash has beencaught listening to her music several times. Tyra and Ash met when Skye plotteda meetup in a VERTV episode, when Tyra visited Korea as part of a short Asia tour.

SpeaksFaroese, Norwegian, Swedish and English. Ever since meeting Ash, she startslearning Korean.

BONUS GLOSSARY OF TERMS IN CASE YOU’RE NOT INTO KPOP:

Leader- Usually the oldest in the group, but not always.The title is given to the member who is the most trained or the one with themost experience, and is responsible for speaking for the group and making surethat the group is in order.

Faceof the Group - The most famous/recognisable member. The most iconic member of thegroup that you immediately associate with the group and their concept. Usuallycentered if the leader/visual is not on the center.

Visual- The prettiest or most attractive, at least in K-Pop standards. They’re theone who always go for other acting/commercial gigs outside the group, and is usually centered when the leader/face of the group isn’t.

Maknae- the youngest, usually the newest member of the group. Most groups have thembe the happy cute, bubbly type.

Main Dancer/Rapper/Vocals - the main dancer/rapper/vocals is the best in the group in that talent.Usually front and center when the song calls for it, e.g. main vocalists havingmore lines, main dancer being center in choreo, main rapper handling most ofthe rap lines.

Lead Dancer/Rapper/Vocals - Good at said talent but not on the Main’s level. They get numerous parts that aren’t difficult to execute like lines that doesn’t have high notes or raps that aren’t that fast.

Sub-Vocals - isn’t your first pick at singing. Usually have catchy, simpler lines that are usually in English.

So I checked out Facebook Ghost groups. Met a couple lovely people but mostly found drama and stress.

Like people sending me hate mail. All I posted I was leaving one group, because of their obsessive oversexualization of Tobias as a whole. In particular - close up pics of his tight pants - like it’s gone beyond playful fun and became every second post and one of two topics in the chat group. The other being relationship drama.

One hate mailer called me dried up and a prude, simply because it wasn’t for me. They seriously act like 10 year olds, seeing cock for the first time. The hatemailers language was borderline rapey. Imagine if this was a man taking about a woman:-

- He dresses like that so, he’s asking to be lusted after.

- He enjoys people lusting after him and us taking about him as a sex object.

- He dangles his cock in our faces live, so he must want it.

- The show is naughty, so he knows we ‘enjoy’ it.

Don’t get me wrong, I get the rituals have a layer of playful smut about them. However, the Facebook groups take it to a purile and rapey new level. Gross gross gross...

Glad to be back on Tumblr, where Tobbe is a hot crush who’s ultimately a massive nerd! Yay.

August 3rd is Esther Day

And this is hard for me to say because I know it’s not quite a mutual thing. But:

I do love the Megamind Fandom.

You were there when my studies stopped working out and my parents didn’t give a damn. When I was crying because I was out of money and food, you send me pictures of kittens until I calmed down. When I was sad when my chinchilla died, you were there and talked to me. When RL friends were anything but great, you were instead. When there was this crazy person who tricked people into thinking they got hatemail, you had my back and made the rp community a safer place with me. We were a great team. You showed me how to rp and now it’s not just my main hobby, it’s a way to cope with grief and a mean to see things from a different perspective. My tiping speed increased, my language skills got better. I find new jobs because of these things now.

And I am forever grateful.

Block me, ghost on me, send anon hate, claim my old URL’s to write mean things on them, pressure me into spending all my free time into deleting old threads from 2013 onward, claim I stalk blogs and destroy my reputation. Talk newbies into thinking I am the personified evil so they block me before I even have a chance to get to know them. Leave when I join a group chat as if I was there to do any harm. Ask my friends to please abandon me and leave them when they don’t. I already lost more people than I could handle and then some more and I just wish you would call it a day eventually but ... until then and no matter what:

Skam S4E10: Commentary

If this episode doesn’t end with a montage telling me what happened to all the characters, I will be very put out.

Wait...is the whole sixty minutes going to be a montage??? Count me in.

WHY IS THIS MONTAGE STARTING OUT SO SAD???

Of course Chris reacts to being walked in on by bragging about how he’ll convince someone to date him and confidently inquiring whether someone else shares his name. All while being confidently clothed in a comforter. Of course.

I could probably have handled a whole season about Jonas if his friends weren’t so ridiculous. I’m glad he’s found a girl, although I hope he can be open about their relationship sooner rather than later...and I love that he still wants the best for Eva.

That William impression is the best thing Magnus has ever done.

NOT THIS INCOMPETENT ADULT AGAIN.

OF COURSE Even’s montage starts out with food choices. It’s his legacy.

See, y’all, this is why I don’t like Wilhelm. he’s the kind of person who just casually lies to his father. It’s manipulative, and I don’t like that he gets away with it.

Eskild’s over here name-dropping Linn’s mother, giving motivational speeches, and proving that he’s prepared to dress people for a solemn Muslim holiday or a “whore and pimp fest”.

I’m here for Even saying he could never try to make this food at home because it has too many herbs and spices and thus would be too complicated for him. And then Isak immediately wanting him to try. I’m glad we don’t have to watch that date.

Ugh why is boy Chris such a man-whore. Does this mean Eva and Jonas are going to get back together? Is that where all the subtle jealousy was coming from earlier? Eva’s face as they’re staring at each other, though, oh my gosh. Like, “did I seriously lose a boy by telling him where the meatballs are?” I mean, I could see losing the boy to the meatballs, if they’re that good, but to some girl standing near the meatballs? hell no. it’s spicy meatball time. Also, what is Jonas’ hair doing? He needs a haircut. He’s starting to look like a clown.

Were those real comments from fans at the end, or just comments on the characters’ social media? I have no language proficiency, y’all.

Well, that’s it -- I’ve finished Skam. It was an incredibly bumpy roller coaster ride of a tv show. If anyone has any requests or suggestions for what I watch next, I’m happy to try something new -- we’re still in the TV off-season, after all. (Extra consideration will be given to shows that are readily available on a platform like Netflix or Hulu...or even youtube or dailymotion. I don’t love scouring the deepest corners of the internet.) Thank you for your patience, thank you for your questions, thank you for your hatemail...it’s been fun, y’all.

three facts. 1. I am an introvert and shy, okay? I am just recently over my depression which hit me three years ago. It was a long trip but definitely worth it. So I am bit more open now, but I still have issues sometimes. 2. I speak Finnish, Swedish and English rather fluently, I also understand French and German but only can introduce myself in those languages. 3. I live in Finland, cold country, full of grumpy people. everyone has cellphones and we love the sauna.

Tumblr, chatzy, skype and discord worst experience.in chatzy about a year ago , also i have gotten some hatemail and it is never easy. best experience. to have find few people that I really like to write with and also to have found a friend , someone i have even visited and it is all just amazing. Also my writing is better and I am better at writing my muses.

writing preferences. fluff, angst or smut. anything, smut is something that leaves easy, fluff too, angst takes some work, since i don’t care for unneeded , sudden angst just for the thread to be angsty. I like happy threads and if I write angst it is a completely different thread. plots or memes. both but i love memes long or short replies. from short to long, mostly short-ish are you like your muse. nope XD nedra is not me...she is much more open than I am. She sometimes grumps when i am being shy and not getting enough interactions for her.
