Happy Sunday Lovely Readers! 💛
We are halfway through Turn Back Time 🤯 This has most definitely been the most challenging of the three books to write, simply because I haven't had as much time to spend writing so I very much appreciate those of you who still like/comment/interact with these stories.
Chapter Fifteen is taking shape and is titled For Old Time's Sake...a little sneak peak below the cut if you're interested 😉
Their assessment of their suspect’s evasion techniques was cut short when Trudy appeared in the doorway of the garage.
“The tap you put on the girlfriend’s phone just payed off. He wants her to meet him at the Red Bridge tonight at ten o’clock.”
It wasn’t a venue Kate was familiar with but, from the knowing look that Trudy shared with Hank, she could only assume that there was a case file somewhere with at least one member of the intelligence unit’s name attached and thankfully she didn't have to wait much longer before Hank confirmed her thoughts.
“Years back, Antonio got into some hot water with a diamond dealer.” Hank explained, casting a withering glare at Ruzek who looked as though Christmas had come early. “Case led us to a sex club called the Red Bridge.”
“A sex club?” Kate clarified, both brows lifting in surprise at the thought of the experienced ex-vice detective managing to get himself tangled in a web of debauchery that, given the nature of his day job, he was all too familiar with.
“It’s a place where people go to have se-“
“Yeah, gathered that Ruz.” She interrupted with a roll of her eyes. “What I meant was what kind of sex club are we talking here?”
“Membership only.” Jay replied with a casual shrug, confirming her assumption that he had been one of the detectives leading point on the last undercover gig. “Light BDSM, swingers, power play…but mainly just Chicago’s elite paying a small fortune to indulge in their kink for voyuerism.”
It seemed that Chicago was no different to any other city she had policed over the last decade in that it was often the richest and most prominent members of society who deemed themselves important enough that they needn't be concerned with abiding by the law.
“I’m guessing that there’s a number of Chicago dignitaries on that membership list preventing us from getting a warrant?” She asked with a huff of irritation, shaking her head in disbelief when Hank dipped his chin into a nod.
“Well this girl clearly means somethin’ to him if he’s meeting her instead’a gettin’ his ass  outta town.” Kevin said, folding his arms across his hulking chest and Kate had to admit, the same thought had crossed her own mind the moment Trudy mentioned Dolan’s  contact with his girlfriend. After narrowly avoiding capture on not one but two occasions, there weren’t many people who would chance their luck one more time in the name of a quick screw.
“Clearly she’s the one if he’ll risk it all to have her with him.” Kim offered, a rosy blush staining her ivory cheeks when Adam glanced over at her with a wry smile, the two of them sharing a moment before Hank cleared his throat and Kim’s eyes dropped back to the floor.
“That or he’s more of an idiot than we thought.” He grumbled, once again questioning his life choices when he caught Burgess and Ruzek sharing lovelorn looks at one another instead of focusing on the task at hand. “We’re gonna need to get some eyes inside.”
“Yeah but we’ve all been burned.” Jay said, scrubbing an irritated palm over his sweaty forehead. “Dolan’s gonna bolt the second he sets eyes on us.”
“I haven’t.”
Kate had been dropping off Alexis at daycare when Kevin, Adam and Kim had pinned Dolan down at a bar in Rogers Park and both she and Kevin had been watching the front of the house earlier when Jay and Hailey barricaded him in his backyard before he’d managed to flee. It wasn’t lost on Hank that this was the first time that Kate had willingly offered to take a UC assignment since the incident with Pulpo but he couldn’t be sure if it was because she was the only member of the unit Dolan wouldn’t recognise or because she genuinely felt ready but, regardless of her intentions, he was quick to dispel any discussion around the prospect of sending her in alone.
“You’re not going in solo.”
“Who said anything about going solo?” She retorted and for a moment he wondered if she was going to suggest drafting in young Torres for the assignment but, from the impish quirk of her lips, it soon became apparent just whom it was that she was suggesting as her UC partner.
“How ‘bout it Sarg? For old time’s sake?”

Hank Voight x fem!reader
Summary: Pregnancy has made you quite nervous, however Hank is there to keep you calm.
Wordcount: 903
Warnings: mentions of sex. Pregnancy. Mention of giving birth (and possible complications).
A/N: I know every pregnancy can look different on people, but the picture fit the aesthetic I wanted. I have not mentioned race, age, other physical descriptions to the reader in this little story, so the header is not what you should expect the reader to look like 😘
Fatherhood looked good on Hank. Even when you were in the early stages of your pregnancy, he made time out of his busy schedule to check up on you and never missed a doctor’s appointment. You feared that losing Justin might’ve brought bad memories to the table, but he continued to tell you this new baby was a blessing and he was gonna love them to death. He got another chance and he really wanted to do it right.
As the months went by, he grew calmer and you became more nervous. There was this thing called birth and though you knew it had to happen in order for you to hold your baby in your arms, your research had shown you a different side of it. Sure, it’s a natural thing, millions if not billions of women had done it before you, but you read about dislocating your pelvis, a total rupture and all these other insanely creepy things, so you were absolute petrified of labor and birth.
So, when the due date drew closer, you found yourself picking up many nervous ticks you thought you had left behind in your youth.
You were unable to sleep the night when you were officially your thirty eighth week of pregnancy and you sit up straight, leaning your back against the backrest of the bed. Just when you want to smile at the sight of Hank so preciously asleep, his eyes flutter open.
‘You okay?’ he asks, his voice raspier than other times, due to him just waking up.
‘I’m fine. Please go back to sleep, you have an early morning.’
‘No, no,’ he says, sitting up now too. ‘You’re worrying about something, so tell me what it is. Maybe I can calm your mind.’
When you told Hank you were pregnant, you decided that you would move in with him. There was no denying you were falling in love with him, just like he was head over heels with you. Moving in with him, had felt so normal, like you always lived together.
‘What do you think?’
‘I think it’s birth.’
You nod. ‘Just scared. Just worried. Please, go back to sleep, okay?’
He shakes his head and if Hank Voight decides not to do anything, he will not do it. Instead, he wraps his arm around your shoulders and you lean against his side. ‘Know that I will be close.’
‘What if you’re in the middle of work?’ you ask. ‘Something you can’t get out of.’
‘As of now, I’m glued to my desk,’ he tells you. ‘Come on, with the little one coming soon, I don’t want to risk missing it. You go into labor, you call me and I’ll be by your side from that moment on.’
You sigh. ‘I’m sorry.’
‘Why are you sorry?’ he asks.
‘I am demanding a lot of time.’
‘A baby is going to demand a lot of time too,’ he says. ‘Listen, I did this before, okay. Back then, I wasn’t present a lot. I was still trying to make my way up at the Chicago PD. Now, I’m already sergeant. Sure, my work is going to demand me to be away a lot, but… I can be here for you and the little one, okay?’
You nod. ‘Yeah, just… Just pinky promise me you are going to be present at the birth. I need someone to hold my hand as the doctors tell me I have a total rupture or I dislocated my pelvis.’
He chuckles. ‘That will probably not happen.’
‘Just promise me, Hank. It’s not that difficult.’ You gasp. ‘Oh gosh, sorry, didn’t mean to snap.’
‘I promise.’ He pulls you closer and gives you a kiss on top of your head. ‘We’ve got this, angel, okay?’
You nod, for now deciding that believing him would be easier. ‘Okay.’

I gotcha Partner- Jay Halstead
Summary: After chasing down a suspect, you have a bad asthma attack.
Warnings: none that I know of.
Authors note: Jay’s installment in the platonic asthma fics. ❤️ Enjoy!
—————————
You have been Jay Halstead’s partner since Erin Lindsey left 2 years ago. You had been friend prior to this partnership, having met at Molly’s as well, so the partnership was easy to fall into. You knew each others quirks well, but you also knew each other’s medical history very well given all the near deaths you two have experienced since being partners. You have never experienced more near death experience on the job before working with Jay Halstead.
Today, you and Jay, along with the rest of the intelligence unit, are sitting on a suspect’s house. This individual has been indicted for multiple counts of aggravated assault and battery, leading the unit to believe that he is involved in a string of assaults at a few night clubs he has been known to frequent. He’s smarter than most criminals. He makes sure not to hit the same club multiple times, but to randomly jump around to throw off any suspicion.
You and Jay were sat in his truck, idly chatting about Matt’s move into the apartment with you and Kelly, when the suspect pulled into his driveway. You both straightened up as Voight began to speak.
“Suspect has landed. Suspect has landed. Use caution. Don’t spook him.” Voight instructed through our radio.
Jay grabbed our tac gear from the backseat and handed me my own. We suited up before slowly pulling the truck to block the end of the driveway. Burgess and Adam came up one side while Voight and Atwater came up the other. You noticed blood on his door handle and quickly jumped out of the truck and rounded it to grab the guy.
“Chicago PD!” You yelled, announcing yourself before moving to grab the suspect. Unfortunately, he was quick to react and shoved you into Kim before running down the small alley way next to his house. “Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit!” You yelled, quickly standing to your feet to pursue. You were the smallest and the fastest, next to Kevin.
You heard Jay flip the sirens and say he was going to cut him off. Kevin was on your heels, cursing about how the perps always run but they can’t run from you all. You shook your head, pushing through the burning in your chest. You were still recovering from your attack a few days prior, so you definitely weren’t in top shape.
You saw the end of alley way, thanking God that this run was coming to an end. Just as the suspect reached the end of the alley, Jay pulled the truck to block it and held the suspect at gun point through the window.
“Put your hands up.” Jay growled, seeing the blood on the suspect’s shirt and knuckles.
You stopped running, coming to a halt at the back of the truck with your hands on your knees. You were having trouble catching your breath as an audible wheeze left your body. You dizzily grabbed the bumper as you sunk to the ground. Jay saw you and quickly jumped out of the truck as Kevin cuffed the perp.
“Y/n?!” Jay yelled, crouching down in front of you. “Jesus. Your blue.” Jay muttered, taking your face in his hands for a second. You were ice cold. “It’s okay. I gotcha partner. Up we go.” Jay muttered, pulling you into his arms and rounding the truck.
“She okay?” Voight asked, coming to open the door for Jay.
“She will be. She’s having an asthma attack.” Jay said over your wheezes. He dug around in the glove box until he unearthed your inhaler. “Alright sweetie. Let’s do this.” Jay shook the inhaler before helping you squeeze the trigger as you attempted to breathe.
“Here. I got a pulse ox from the first aid kit.” Kim said, jogging back from her and Adam’s car. She handed the device to Jay before moving back to give you and Jay some room.
They all waiting on baited breath as the pulse ox read. High heart rate and oxygen level fluctuating between 83-85. Their eyes grew wide at the reading, concerned given that your inhaler should have opened you up by now.
“I’m taking her to med.” Jay said, buckling you in and shutting the door.
“I will give you an escort.” Voight said, quickly running to his SUV that Kevin pulled around after placing the suspect in the back of a patrol car.
“5021 George to Med” Jay said into his radio, lights and sirens blaring as he drove.
“Go ahead for Med.” April said.
“April. Y/n is having a bad asthma attack. Cyanotic, high pulse, O2 is low to mid 80s. Rescue inhaler administered and not helping. ETA 5 minutes. ” Jay reported, glancing over at you as you shook. “Shhh. I gotcha partner. I’m gonna get you help.”
“We will be waiting at the door. Med out.” April said.
Jay put his radio back on the dash before reaching out to take one of your shaking hands in his own. “Almost there. You are doing great.” Jay encouraged, trying to hide his worry.

Departure

Pairing: jay halstead x reader
Summary: Jay is y/n husband and he left her for eight months to go to Bolivia. When he came back, he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw his wife again
Warning: none i guess, maybe a little bit of angst
English is not my first language, sorry if there’s some mistakes!
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
When your husband came home that day asking you to sit down on the couch, you didn’t think that he was going to say what he actually said. You two worked at Intelligence for four years and you didn’t think possible for him to change the way he did. When you first met him you immediately knew that he was kind, gentle and a good cop: you knew that he would have done everything to help innocents and to stop criminals, you knew that he was a good person.
And then something changed.
You didn’t know if that was because of his partner, Hailey Upton, or because of Voight; you just knew that you didn’t recognize him anymore. You even talked about it with Adam, your partner, but you weren’t able to find a way to help him get through that.
You just wanted him to be happy again, you just wanted him to be himself again.
That’s why you let him go.
When he told you that he accepted the job in Bolivia you couldn’t believe it, you just couldn’t.
Was he running away from the unit or was he running away from you?
You didn’t know what was true, but you couldn’t just deny him to be happy again: if he needed to go, you would have let him go.
And that’s exactly what you did.
“It will be for eight months maybe a little longer, okay? I will be back home soon.” He said that day, kissing your forehead with glossy eyes. “I love you… i really do but i need to do this. Please don’t be angry with me, i’ll come back to you, i promise. You’re the love of my life, y/n.”
When he left some minutes later to take his flight, you fell on the ground, crying; you needed him near you, you needed him there with you but you just couldn’t deny him to be himself again.
That’s why you didn’t tell him the truth.
That’s why you hid it from him.
When Kim knocked at your door that night after having heard about Jay, you let her in and you just walked back to the couch, where you cried all day.
“Y/n…” she whispered, walking towards you and hugging you tightly. “It’s okay. It’s temporary, right? He will come back, okay?”
You didn’t say anything, you didn’t nod or shook your head in response, you just kept crying again and again and then, after some minutes, you spoke.
“We perfectly know that he can die there.” You said, finally telling the truth, finally admitting out loud what you had in your mind all day since he talked to you.
“Oh, y/n…” she kept hugging you and she also placed her hand on your shoulder, trying to reassure you in some way. She wanted to say something, she wanted to help you go through all of that but her eyes fell on it.
It was on the table in front of the couch, exactly where you placed it after Jay left.
“What’s that?” She asked, keeping her eyes on the small object; she reached it and she looked at the result when you didn’t complain about it, then she looked up at you, shocked. “You’re pregnant?”
You wanted to cry, you wanted to scream, you wanted be alone in your thoughts, but Kim was there trying to help you and you really appreciated that, that’s why you just nodded, answering her.
“Does Jay know about it? Did He really leave you here alone knowing that you’re pregnant?”
Kim knew the answer deep down, she knew that Jay wouldn’t have left you there knowing that you were pregnant but she needed to know it for sure; when you shook your head saying “no”, she hugged you tighter.
“Oh, darling.” She whispered, caressing your back slowly and gently. “You should’ve told him, Y/n, i’m sure he wouldn’t have left knowing that.”
You sobbed, then you looked up at her and you shook your head again.
“T-That’s why i-i d-din’t tell him. He needed t-to go Kim, i c-couldn’t stop him.”
“But he had the rights to know the truth before taking such a decision!” She replied, shaking her head in disagreement.
“When he came here telling me about the job in Bolivia he already took it, he accepted it without even talking about it with me. I would have told him if he hadn’t already accepted it. He told me that he had a flight in few hours, how could i have told him? I know, after all, that he’s lost. He’s not himself anymore and, if taking that job is going to help him, then i will accept it. He said, after all, that’s only for eight months.” You said, even if he said that there was the possibility that he needed to stay a little longer. “When he will be back home, i will still be pregnant and he will be able to be here when our baby is born.”
Kim didn’t agree with you but you was still shocked, that’s why she didn’t say anything: she just hugged you, promising you that she would have help you.
And she did, as all your unit.
Kim, Adam, Hailey, Kevin, Hank and also Trudy helped how they could.
In the next months they helped you, they came to your house to keep you company and they accompanied you to the hospital every time you needed to do a visit.
You were never alone after all, but you knew, however, that the most important person for you wasn’t there. You couldn’t blame him since you didn’t tell him the truth, but still you missed him so much.
Your baby was healthy but he, or she, wasn’t ready to be born yet, even if one week passed since the due date.
In some ways you were relieved because you really wanted Jay to be there when you would’ve become a mother. Every single time someone knocked at your door or every single time your phone rang, you panicked, afraid that something happened to your husband while he was still in Bolivia. You didn’t talked to him in the last few months, mostly because you didn’t want to distract him during a mission and because you were always afraid of blowing his cover.
That’s why you hardly talked to him or contacted him on the phone, and he did the same thing for the same reasons.
Until you didn’t hear anything about him from the army, you knew that he was okay, you knew that he was still alive. And every day you kept going on, holding on this thought, holding on the fact that no one called you, so he had to be safe, he had to be alive.
You didn’t know when he would’ve returned home, but you just hoped that it was soon; you couldn’t get through labor without him by your side.
That day you was ready to go to the hospital for another visit with your gynecologist. You asked Adam to come with you and he immediately accepted; that’s why, when you heard someone knocking at your door, you thought it was him.
“C-Coming.” You said, trying to get up from the couch where you were waiting for him. Your belly was so big that it was difficult for you to get up easily. “Just give me one minute, i’m trying to get up from the couch.”
At the other side of the door there was not at all Adam, there was Jay with his bag on the shoulder, happy to be home again, happy to be able to see his wife again. But when he heard you saying that she was having difficulties getting up from the couch, he froze, thinking that you might have been hurt at work.
Before he could say anything, the door opened in front of him and he immediately looked at his wife; he was left speechless, standing in front of the door frame, looking at his wife that was definitely pregnant.
“J-Jay?” You whispered, shocked. You didn’t expect him to be there, you thought that he would have informed you before coming home, but he was there, in front of you in all his beauty. Being so far from him for almost nine months was hard for you: you went through hell alone, especially when you almost lost your baby, and having him in front of you was like a dream. You definitely thought that you were still dreaming.
“You’re pregnant.” He said, unable to look away from your belly. He let go the bag that he had on his shoulder, letting it fall to the ground. He couldn’t believe his eyes, he just couldn’t believe it. “Am i the father?”
That was the first thing that popped into his mind when he saw you and he immediately regretted saying that out loud when he saw your face.
“What do you mean? Are you really thinking that i slept with someone else just right after your departure? You’re my fucking husband, of course you’re the father.”
You were so angry.
You didn’t even realize it till that moment.
You were so angry because he left you alone with a baby in your belly, even if he didn’t know it, even if it wasn’t his fault since you decided not to tell him the truth. But you were definitely angry: he stayed away for so long and the first thing that he asked you is if you got pregnant with someone else?
“Why didn’t you tell me? I would have come back!” He said after few moments, still standing in front of the door, still shocked by the news.
“You took the job before asking me what i thought about it, what did i have to do? You didn’t even took one day to talked with me! You came here, saying that you were going to Bolivia and that you had a flight that same day!“
Jay knew that coming back home wouldn’t have been easy, he knew that you would’ve been upset and you had all the rights to be angry with him, but he definitely didn’t expect to come home and find you pregnant.
“Wait, did you know you were pregnant when i left?!”
You froze, then you stepped back and you invited him to enter the apartment, to talk about it privately.
Jay immediately came in, leaving the bag on the ground, completely focused on his wife. You closed the door behind you two and you leaned against the kitchen counter, sighing.
Jay, even if he was mad at you, immediately walked towards you and helped you; then he took a chair and he invited you to sit down, placing an hand on your shoulder and caressing you gently. You appreciated it but you perfectly knew that you two have still to talk about it.
“Yes.” You answered after that, placing an hand on your own belly, caressing it gently and feeling the baby kicking you hard. “I discovered it the same morning you accepted the job. I wanted to tell you when you came home but you talked first and I couldn’t tell you after that.”
Jay couldn’t believe his ears, he couldn’t believe that his wife hid something important like a baby from him for almost nine months. You should have told him, you should have told him the truth because he wouldn’t have left knowing that you were pregnant with his baby.
“You should have told me, Y/n!” He wasn’t able to control himself, he just yelled at you and, after that, he regretted it. You slightly jumped on the chair, with tears running down your cheeks. You knew that, you knew that he had all the rights to be angry with you but you weren’t prepared for this. You just wanted him to be home because you needed him but you never thought about how he would’ve reacted at the news. You had time to prepare yourself to become a mother and then he came home and discovered that he’s going to become a father in what, few days?
“I’m sorry.” He immediately told you, kneeling in front of you and placing his hands on your arms. “I’m sorry i yelled, it’s just that…. I wanted to know, I wanted to be here with you.”
You sobbed and cried, especially when his hands touched you after all that time. You missed him so much.
“I know.” You sobbed, looking at him. “I’m sorry, i wanted to tell you but I know that you wouldn’t left and… you said you needed it, I couldn’t stop you from that. I just wanted you to be happy again, I couldn’t see you so sad here. And… when you came here saying that you accept the job in Bolivia… i just couldn’t take it away from you. You were right saying that i had to let you go, i saw it in your eyes.”
Jay caressed your arms slowly and gently, then he leaned closer and he kissed your forehead.
“I’m sorry i left you alone.” He said, softly. And it was true. All the time, when he was in Bolivia for his new job, he thought about you and he felt guilty because he knew that you were alone, he knew that you would probably have been hurt. That’s why he asked Kim, Adam, Kevin and Hailey to be near you in case you needed them.
“Well, i wasn’t alone, was i?” You smiled softly through your tears; you took his hands and placed them on your belly the moment you felt your baby kicking. “He, or she, was with me all the time.”
Jay felt the kick against his palms and his eyes immediately filled with tears.
“Say hi to your daddy.” You whispered, apparently talking to your baby while looking at Jay in the eyes.
Jay wanted to say something, wanted to kiss your belly and whispered something to it like he was talking to your baby, but before he could say something, you moaned in pain.
“What’s wrong?” He immediately asked, concerned. “Is everything okay, babe?”
You looked down at yourself when you felt your legs wet.
“Oh no.” You whispered.
Jay looked at you, confused. “What’s happening?”
You looked at him and moaned in pain.
“ i think I’m in labor.”
“Fuck.” He said, placing an hand on his mouth after that. “I’m sorry, i swore in front of the baby!”
You giggled and shook your head but you were interrupted by the first contraction; you moaned in pain and you looked up at him.
“Hospital.” You whispered and he nodded.
“Hospital.” He agreed. “Holy shit, I’m going to be a father.”
“Jay.” You said while he took the car keys and the labor bag you prepared some weeks ago; he came back to you and he helped you get to your feet.
“I’m sorry!” He said, referring to his previous words.

Late Night Love - Hank Voight
word count: 1221
summary: after a tough day at work, hank comes home to find you soundly asleep and all he needs is some of your loving to have him feeling like himself again
Hank Voight x Reader
authors note: implied smut, but nothing too descriptive or explicit. apologises for any mistakes, i’m just getting the feel for writing again but i hope you enjoy anyway 💖
Tumblr media
The case was tough but ended in a drug bust and a peaceful drive home. Hank entered the house and shook off his coat, hanging it up on a hook while heading upstairs. The house was quiet and dark, with the only light being shone through the curtains from nearby streetlights. He gently opened the door to his bedroom before his gaze quickly landed on you, his fiancé, who was fast asleep in their bed. He smiled softly and slipped into bed, his arms snaking around around your waist, pulling you closer.
You slowly stir awake against his chest. He smiled as he pulled you even closer, kissing your forehead and running his hands down your back before slipping one under your t-shirt, his thumb rubbing against your bare skin to tease you, placing another kiss to your forehead.
"Don't start something you can't finish." You mumbled into his chest, the sleep slowly washing away.
Hank grinned, hooking a finger under your chin and tilting your head up to look at him, giving you a sly smile. "Don't threaten me with a good time."
"I just did." You tease back, a playfulness dancing over your features. Two could play at his game.
Hank chuckled, tracing a hand up your sides and giving your waist a gentle squeeze. His free hand traced patterns on the base of your back.
"How was your day?" You ask softly, pulling away to look up at him. You could tell by the look on his face that the day had been a long and tiring one and that he was happy to just be at home.
He smiled at your concern and at the warm feeling that washed over him as he lay with you. All of his worries had gone the minute he'd laid eyes on you. "A lot better now that I'm with you."
Hank squeezed your waist, taking in a breath, thinking as you rubbed his bicep. He didn't want to lie to you, to hide how things had been weighing on his mind, but as you laid together in your bed, it was the safest place he felt he could be; feeling like he could be vulnerable, if only for a minute, and the person he needed was the one that was in his arms: you. "No.. not tonight."
"Okay," you responded gently. "But if you do want to talk.. you know I'll listen." You don't push the subject further, knowing he'll open up when he feels ready.
Hank smiled lightly, his eyes softening. Your compassion and understanding was something that he cherished, you never pushed, never tried to pry him open, you just let him come to you on his own terms. "I know. That's one of the reasons why I'm marrying you."
You smile then change the subject to something more lighthearted to take his mind off the day. "We should do something.. just me and you."
Hank nodded, grinning from ear-to-ear as his hands ran up your sides, squeezing gently as he looked down at you. "Anything you want to do, just name it."
"I don't know." You sigh. "I just think it would do you good to take a break."
He chuckled as he leaned down and kissed your forehead, his eyes gazing deeply into your own. "I mean, we could have an early honeymoon."
"I think you're forgetting one major part of that.. we're not married." You raise a brow with a playful smirk adorning your face.
He lets out a playful scoff as he leaned back on the bed and took his hand from underneath your shirt, moving to brush away stray strands of hair from your eyes. "Are you trying to tell me I can't drag you to the courthouse and get you married to me tonight?"
You scrunch your nose. "Not at eleven at night.. no."
Hank laughed and his free hand pulled you on top of him, gently kissing your neck before moving his lips next to your ear, whispering huskily. "You'd be surprised at the things I can do past eleven."
You laugh into his shoulder. "I liked the idea.." she shrugs, "but we're not married so.. think again mister."
He gave you a playful shove with a smirk before leaning forwards and kissing you. "You know what? I still might take you to that courthouse if this is the way you'll be treating your future husband."
You raise a brow, shaking your head before lying back down into the bed beside him, closing your eyes. "I'll believe that when I see it."
Hank smirked as his fingers played along the side of your stomach, his hand slipping back under your shirt, teasing you. "I hope you're not saying that as a challenge, 'cause I'm not afraid to take it on."
"Believe me, I don't doubt that." A smile creeps its way onto your face. Hank just grins as he squeezes your sides a little tighter, his fingertips continuing to dance against your sides. One hand makes its way underneath your shirt as he begins to tickle your side, making you giggle and squirm under him.
"Hank! Stop it!" You giggle into his chest, the wide smile never once leaving your face. The smile on his face widened as he saw you giggling and squirming under him, tickling your sides with a light giggle of his own. "Not a chance, I'm not letting you sleep until you're a blushing mess who's begging me to stop."
A flash of playfulness crosses your face before you speak. "I know what else I could beg you for." You giggle again.
Hank lets out a laugh as he squeezes your side once again, a low groan escaping from him as teases. "Oh yeah? What do you have in mind Mrs.-almost-Voight?" His smirk widens.
“You know exactly what I have in mind.” You mirror his smirk, a feeling of lust washing over you as you grind into him.
He lets out a low groan at the feeling as his hands shift from your side to your hips, his mouth curling into a sly smirk. He knew how much this drove you crazy so he pressed against you further against him, making you moan. “Hank.. please..”
Hank’s breath hitched as he heard you moan his name and the feeling of you grinding against him sent shivers down his spine as he squeezed you tighter. He decided to tease you further, slowly shifting his fingers to your leg and running them along your thigh. “Please what Y/N?”
“I need you Hank.. please.” You plead with him, becoming frustrated. He grinned, his eyes widening as he took a sharp breath and the feeling and sounds of you pleading sent warmth and lust racing through him as his voice became more gruff. “I’ve never heard you sound so desperate before… you sure you want this, baby?”
You nod quickly. “More than sure.”
Hank grinned as he pressed himself closer, sliding his body against yours as he leans down to kiss your forehead. He leans back, his eyes flickering all over your body, drinking in the sight of you underneath him. His lips hovered above yours as he breathed steadily, gazing into your eyes.“I’m gonna make this night something worth remembering.”
And that he did.

-------------
Like every other day you were feeling exhausted, nauseous and plain out of it. A year ago, you were diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, this marking a year after you got married to the love of your life -Jay Halstead-. You knew you had a predisposition to cancer, your mom Camille suffered and died from it when you were younger. So, in one of your annual check ups the terrible news came true, your family and friends were afraid you would suffer as your mom did. You were still having treatments monthly, already having taken this month’s chemo session.
It was hard on yourself, of course you were the one going through it, but for Jay. Well let’s say he had to see firsthand your parents history repeating itself. He was always there, for every sickness, through the depression state. He watch as you cried every night while pulling strings of hair from your head, and even after all of the treatments you had received to this day you looked healthy -the only noticeable thing, was the hair falling and the weight loss-.
Turning into your rock just as your dad had done for your mother all those years ago. Nonetheless he always tried his best to bring joy and happiness to you. Making you smile and laugh had turned into his daily goal -and his life promises-. Going home early, always bringing roses and pizza -your favorites-. Making sure you knew you could count on him to pull you back together in times of desperation.
You were currently home waiting for your husband to call you to have lunch together. Having a very weird feeling in your stomach, you went to lay down -its probably side effects- you thought going to bed.
Unknown to you your dad’s whole team was currently at Chicago Med attending a new case relating, victims being brought with chemo overdose. This struck a nerve deep down on everyone, turning to disbelief. Jay felt sick to his stomach by just thinking about you being in that situation.
“This is so fucked up…” Jay said looking around the room, while everyone shook their heads, Hank turning his gaze to the floor.
Just then Natalie Manning entered the room letting them know about another victim brought with the same diagnosis. While looking into the new victims stuff they found out all 4 patients knew each other, what they didn’t expect was the name Antonio said seconds later,
“I got a name. Doctor Dean Reybold” silence.
“What!” Jay said head snapping up at Hank, a terrified look on his face. Erin dropping what she had in her hands in the table, turning to look at Hank and Jay, same look in her eyes -recognition, fear, anger-.
Jay stood up rushing out of the room with Hank, Erin hot in his heels. Pressing the elevator button Jay tried taking deep breaths, nothing was working.
“Hank, Jay…” she said arriving at their side.
“Don’t. Don’t say anything Erin…I- I just wanna go home and see my wife” shaking his head trying to keep his ragging tears at bay. If this was true…
“Right…” Hank said stoic expression on his face -even though that wasn’t what he was going to do-
“Hey, I’m serious you can’t go” “Like hell we can!” Hank turned to look at her just as Alvin appeared behind her,
“No, I’ll go he won’t know who I am. If he’s the one overdosing this women…” “C’mon pal, just you and me…” Alvin tried to reason with Voight. Making Jay scoff, shaking his head, feeling like he couldn’t breathe.
“It been a year since I’ve heard that name” Hank started.
“We know…” Erin responded
“No. You don’t. He was the oncologist to diagnose Y/N’s cancer. He’s been treating her ever since…” Jay said turning to look at Al and Erin his voice breaking at the thought of you being another of his victims. Erin looked surprised she didn’t know you were being treated by Reybold.
“He last treated Camille and he has been treating my daughter too. If he’s the one doing this…” “We’ll get him Hank” Alvin finished making Erin nod. Hank nodded, turning to Jay who looked like he had seen a ghost, eyes red; so, putting a hand on his shoulder,
“Go home. Get Y/N to get checked let’s make sure…” he couldn’t finish the sentence, he just couldn’t. Jay nodded getting into the elevator, now alone bending hands on his knees while releasing his tears. This couldn’t be happening, not to you. From all the people in the world, not to you.
You had woken up from your nap currently in the kitchen having a glass of water and some pills for the nausea when you heard the door open, furrowing your eyebrows confused. Who was it? Jay wasn’t supposed to be home so early, but you were answered as you heard him,
“Honey!” “Kitchen…” then you heard his footsteps, when you saw his face, you knew something was seriously wrong. He rushed towards you picking you up by the waist in a bone crushing hug -what’s going on?- you thought to yourself. He sat you down on the kitchen aisle cupping both your cheeks, before taking a deep breath. Let the nightmare begin…
You felt numb in the car, you knew you were crying when your tears hit the palm of your hand that was in your lap. You felt like you were floating as you walked hand in hand with Jay towards a treatment room. You sat in the bed feet crossed gaze on the wall, Jay slightly behind you sharing a bit of space on the gurney. You could barely register Jay’s left hand on your back, right hand in you thigh while you waited for the inevitable.
“Jay…Y/N…” your brother-in-law, Will said when he walked trough the door. Jay looked up at his brother’s face, unreadable expression which made him worry even more. He proceeded to give your thigh a squeeze getting your attention, nodding towards his brother the minute you looked at him.
“Will’s here…”
“I don’t think I can hear it…” you said looking at Will, your eyes puffy from the crying. Will nodded taking a sit in the chair next to the bed taking a hold of your hand. -This is it…- you thought.
“Just say it man…” Jay said,
“Test show you’re clear of cancer…” he paused as you and Jay sighed in relieve both closing your eyes, before he continued, “…there’s no trace of any- ever being present in your body…” you sobbed while Jay pulled your back to his chest.
He wrapped his arms around you, closing his eyes tightly trying not to cry. Will could only squeeze your hand, dropping his head. You never had cancer; test showed you were as healthy as they came -of course with the exception of all the side effects from the chemo that you never needed-.
You went back to the district with Jay, he didn’t want to leave you alone, and you didn’t want to be alone. Claiming the stairs to the front desk you were met with Trudy, who immediately rounded her desk to hug you -Jay had called her before arriving- knowing you needed her.
“We’re gonna get this asshole. You hear me, you have my word…” she whispered in your ear while you cling to her, nodding your head. When you pulled away, Jay pulled you back into him, arm over your shoulder while you continued your trip upstairs. Everyone’s attention turned to the both of you, Erin walking up to you hugging you.
“And?” Hank asked hugging and kissing your head. When you didn’t say anything as you went back into Jay’s arms, your dad looked at your husband.
“Test say she never had it…” he said closing his eyes calm voice while putting his cheek on your head. This sentence made everyone gasp silently. You were never ill. You heard your dad scoff before going into his office, Al following. Jay took you to the break room sitting you in the couch before he bend in front of you hand in your cheek, kissing you deeply.
In that kiss you both shared the desperation, the anxiousness, the pain and most important the love. You stayed foreheads together and eyes closed for a moment, until you broke the silence.
“He lied…” you whispered, while your husband caressed your hips,
“I know…” “He said- he said I had cancer” you said looking at Jay pained and betrayed expression. Before standing up and going towards the garage.
“Y/N! Hey- baby talk to me…” he said reaching the bottom of the stairs, making you shake your head while you started to paced back and forth in front of the cage.
“Baby, don’t do that…” “Do what!” you screamed, making him shake his head, then pointing at you.
“That!” he paused before continuing, “Don’t bottle it up! You have to feel it…” he said raising his voice slightly.
“I DON’T WANNA FEEL IT” you screamed at him, tears staring to roll down your cheeks. “FEEL IT Y/N. FEEL IT!” he screamed back, to this you paused chest heaving until you couldn’t anymore, and you started sobbing your heart out.
“He told me he would cure me. He made promises- HE KNEW HE COULD KEEP THEM! I never had this fucking cancer of shit…” you screamed in between sobs, looking at Jay angry look on both your faces.
“Fucking. Shit. Motherfucking. Asshole! I. FUCKING. HATE. HIM!” you continued yelling kicking the door of the cage with every word you said. He was right you needed to feel, you needed to grieve, and you needed to cry or else it would consume you.
During your ‘feeling session’, Jay had taken a sit on a bench nearby, just making sure to keep an eye on you. No one else could hear you from down here, so you screamed, cried and kicked. Jay just continued to make sure you didn’t hurt yourself. Averting his gaze when he felt that he would cry too. You were tired, your eyes were swollen, and you barely had any voice left.
Sniffing and taking a shaky breath one last time, you went and sat at Jay’s feet, putting your head in his lap. He put his chin on his hand looking down at you. You heard him sigh before you felt his hand on your hair,
“Better?” he asked, “…better…” he leaned to kiss your cheek.
“I love you. He will pay. I’ll make sure of it…I promise” he said to which you nodded, “I love you too”
“Hey sorry to interrupt…we’re hitting” Erin said looking worriedly at you, without second thought Jay bend down to kiss you before running up the stairs.
Arriving at Reybold office, Erin had found him in a conference room. The minute Jay entered, Reybold smiled sadly at him -Reybold knew who Jay was obviously-. This made Jay give him a dead glare, jaw tensing, before Hank entered.
“Destroying patient documents Doctor Reybold?” Hank rhetorically asked, “I have nothing to hide Hank…” Reybold said calmly.
“You sure?” Jay said taking a step closer to a sitting Reybold. “Wait you three know each other?” Reybold’s lawyer -Miss Green- asked,
“I treated sergeant Voight’s late wife” “That’s not all is it?” Erin asked disgusted look in her face,
“I’m also treating sergeant Voight’s daughter, detective Halstead’s wife…” “Don’t say another word” his lawyer intervened.
“You know who doesn’t destroy patient files- innocent people” Hank continued taking steps towards him.
“Hank, Jay, you know me. I was there with you when Y/N was diagnosed…” “Shut up! Don’t talk about my wife” Jay cut him off finger pointed at him, deadly look in his face.
“Cuff him up” “Gladly!” Jay said while yanking Reybold up from his chair and pulling him out of the conference room.
After that the team tried their best to get some information out of him, but there wasn’t anything useful. They had suggested that you testified but being honest you weren’t near ready to talk about the whole situation. You were feeling wounded and betrayed, both you and Jay saying a big fat no. Miss Shelby -the lawyer taking the case- had advised not to since it could be used to dismiss the case in court giving how personal it was for the unit.
A couple of weeks later now in court, sitting next to your husband his arm around your shoulders pulling towards him, while you had your hand on his knee. Your attention was pulled back when your dad took the stand. The case wasn’t going well, Reybold’s defense was dismissing every evidence intelligence brought, and they couldn’t bring in the victims for some technicality. Every question asked was objected; the team had nothing at this point.
That was until your dad said he had witnessed Reybold administering chemo to your mom.
“I saw Doctor Reybold dose my wife Camille who died of cancer under his care, and my son-in-law has witnessed my daughter Y/N receiving treatment from Reybold…” this made your blood run cold. Jay tightening his grip on you kissing the side of your head. Erin holding onto your hand for support.
“I’m here. Breath…” Jay whispered in your ear. You blocked the rest of Reybold’s lawyer questions not wanting to remember how your mom was in her last days. This until Miss Shelby stood up again.
“Redirect…what other victims are you referring to Sergeant?” “Objection!” Miss Green objected.
“Miss Green questioned my witness about one prior patient Camille Voight and one current patient Y/N Halstead. Now she opened the door for all 42 patients he treated”
“She’s right overruled” you immediately saw the fail on Miss Green’s face. She knew they had lost the case for good.
“What other victims?” “Helen Graham, Nia Felton, Priya Parvati, Y/N Halstead and 38 other people this doctor diagnosed with cancer they didn’t have and treated with chemo they didn’t need”
“How do you know this?” Miss Shelby asked. “Because Doctor Reybold confessed to personally poisoning 42 patients, ruining their lives, terrifying them and their families, on court under oath…” you looked at your dad teary smile on your face, Jay pecking your head over and over again. While your sister squeezed your hand.
After your dad left the stand, you entered the room your he was in with Jay next to you, Erin finished hugging him. Which you took as opportunity to hug him tightly.
“Thank you…mom would be proud” whispering while he nodded, not showing too much emotion. Everyone knew Hank Voight wasn’t a big emotion showing person.
The jury had declared Doctor Reybold guilty of all charges, and while he shouted to your dad, saying that he had said the truth about your mom’s cancer,
“I would never harm Camille. I was their only hope, they got years because of me. You can’t put someone away for saving lives…” he paused before looking towards you. Making Jay shake his head warningly,
“Shut up…” Jay said serious look while he took a step-in front of you.
“I would never hurt you Y/N, I saved you…” he said, making you step out slightly from behind your husband,
“You’re just a liar and coward. Rot in hell you fucking piece of shit” you said so only he could hear you while he was being dragged away.
Arriving at home, you took your shoes off, about to walk into the living room when Jay pulled you back, cupping your face and kissing you deeply. You wrapped your arms around his neck thumb caressing his neck, pulling back looking at each other. He tapped your waist slightly so you would jump and wrap your legs around his waist, like that he carried you towards the couch. Sitting with you straddling his lap while he smiled when you pocked his nose.
“Thank you, baby…” you whispered looking down at him, which made him confused,
“For what hon?” he caressed your cheek looking deeply into your beautiful eyes.
“For keeping your promise” “Always beautiful” he answered pecking your lips, before you snuggling your head into his neck, his chin on top of your head. In this moment he was exited and grateful that he had the opportunity of a future with you. That you both could live without the paralyzing feeling of uncertainty, that one day you wouldn’t be there anymore.

Taking a Chance
Summary:
Dr. Rae Anderson is a Physical Therapist at Chicago Med and her life gets turned upside down by the presence of Sergeant Hank Voight in her ED. Is a romance with the gruff leader of the Intelligence Unit wise? Rae is about to find out. Voight x OC

Chapter 1
“Dr. Anderson,” Maggie called out to get Rae’s attention, “I’ve got someone for you to check out. Be warned, he won’t want you around, but he needs to be looked at.”
Rae rolled her eyes, “Sure, sounds fun. Point me in the right direction,” she replied.
Maggie pointed at bay 6 causing Rae to nod.
Once Rae drew back the curtain, she knew what Maggie meant, “Sergeant Hank Voight, now I see what Maggie meant. You have quite the reputation. I’m Dr. Rae Anderson, a Physical Therapist. I’m going to check on your range of motion after your shoulder injury. Are you alright with that?” she asked.
“I don’t think I have much of a choice,” Voight replied, his gravelly voice showing his annoyance.
She glanced down to hide her smile as she reached out and grasped her forearm, “Ok, I’m going to rotate your arm. Tell me if anything causes pain, ok?”
“Understood,” he responded as he attempted to hide a wince while she moved his arm toward the ceiling.
She continued rotating his shoulder until she released her hold of his arm, noticing the possible blush on his cheeks from her touch before she spoke, “It looks like the injury is only compromising a small amount of your range of motion. I’d recommend that you come back two to three times a week to work on it with me, but I know better. Can you, at least, attempt to take it easy on this arm? I know you’re planning to head straight back to the streets.”
Voight held back a smirk as he replied, nodding, “I’ll do my best but I can’t make any promises. Will you be here to help me out if I don’t let this heal correctly?” he inquired, unsure of his true motivations.
Rae nodded, “I will, but I hope that I only see you again on a non-injury-related basis. You’re clear to go. But, listen to what I said, please,” she added as she exited the room wondering if he’d felt the same spark she’d noticed during their short interaction.
A week later, the ED was having a slow day so Rae decided to talk to Maggie about the police officer she’d been thinking about.
“Hey Mags,” Rae called out, “Do you have a minute?”
Maggie glanced her way, “Of course, what’s on your mind?”
Rae looked away for a moment, gathering her nerve, “I just wanted to find out what you know about Voight. Is he seeing anyone? Is he even interested in that sort of thing? I haven’t been able to get him off my mind since the day he was in here,” she confessed.
Maggie’s eyes lit up at Rae’s inquiry, “I love this! Voight’s wife died a few years ago from cancer. As far as I know, he hasn’t dated anyone or even had a fling since. I think you’d be really good for him. You should know that he’s not one to ask someone out. You’ll probably have to make the first move,” she suggested.
Rae shrugged at the information, “I’m surprised that he isn’t the type of guy to make a move. He seems like someone who knows what he wants.”
“He is, but he’s also someone who has lost a lot in his personal life so he stays pretty glued to his work,” Maggie shared.
Rae nodded, “That makes sense. I guess I’ll ask him out if I see him again. I’m ninety-nine percent sure that shoulder wound will bring him back in,” she went on, lost in her own thoughts, causing Maggie to nod in agreement.
Another week passed when Rae was walking through the ED before she spotted Voight in a bay with Will.
She made her way into the area, “Dr. Halstead, what brings the Sergeant back in today?” she asked, to make her presence known.
Will looked up to see Rae in the room, “Dr. Anderson, he broke the stitches on his shoulder injury. Did you need to evaluate him? We’re keeping this visit off the books if you know what I mean?”
“I do and I would like to take a look once you’re finished,” she replied as she stepped to the side to wait for her turn.
Will nodded before he continued stitching up the wound. Once he was finished, he stepped aside to leave the room while also leaving Voight and Rae alone.
“You didn’t follow my advice very well, did you?” Rae inquired as she grasped his forearm in her hands as she’d done previously.
Voight shook his head, “It wasn’t for lack of trying. I’ve been working some pretty serious drug cases and things just got out of hand,” he explained.
She nodded, “Well, it doesn’t look like you’ve done any additional damage but you really need to take it easier this time around. I’m sure you don’t want to lose function in your arm?”
“No, I need it to do my job. I will try better. If that’s all, I’d like to get out of here and back to my case,” he replied, avoiding eye contact with her.
Rae took a breath before she answered, “You’re cleared to go, but I do have an additional question. How would you feel about grabbing dinner with me tonight?” she asked, closing her eyes as she realized how she’d put herself out there with zero safety net.
Voight glanced down, hiding his smile, but his crow’s feet gave him away, “I’m not sure I’m the kind of guy you want to date. But, if you’re not worried about the risk then I’ll pick you back up here at 7. Will your shift be over by then?”
“I will,” she replied, “See you then,” she added as she stood and left the exam room.

Only mine (Crockett Marcel x reader)
Crockett can't stand it when other people flirt with you, especially your coworkers. His jealousy takes over he makes clear for everyone that you're his, and his only.
words: 1119
pairing: Crockett Marcel x fem intelligence!reader
warning: mention of gunshot, nsfw, possesive Crockett
“Hey Ruz, what do we got?” “Gunshot victim, caught three bullets in the abdomen, guy is still in surgery but Voight thinks this has something to do with the recent gang wars.” “Any word from his doctor, is he gonna make it?” “No clue, Maggie said it might take another hour.”
Adam and I head down the ER, victim’s parents just arrived. We had a lot of questions, however the parents had very little answers. Did not even know their child was in a gang. “Hey, why don’t I buy you lunch, we’re gonna be in here a while anyway” Adam asks me. “Okay sure, thanks” I smile at him. Adam smirks at me ‘’It’s nice that we got to work together on this case, we make a good pair’, plus I quite enjoy your company’’. “You’re such a sap.’’ ‘’Oh come on, I can’t even compliment my favorite coworker’’ Adam says as he winks at me. I laugh and shake my head as he puts his arm around my shoulders. Crockett walks in, staring between the two of us, clenching his fists, he clears his throat. ‘’Dr Marcel, hey, how is our patient?’’ Adam asks. ‘’The surgery went well, he should make a full recovery in no time. Now he is not conscious yet but the sedation should wear off in about 30 minutes, you’ll be free to ask him whatever you want’’ Crockett informs us, though clearly looking annoyed at how close Adam got to me. “I gotta go back to my other patients, let me know if you officers need anything.’’ ‘’Thank you Dr Marcel.’’
Adam looks at me, a soft look in his eyes ‘’so you want a grilled cheese and an orange juice?’’ ‘’Oh, you know me so well.’’ We eat our lunch in peace and head upstairs to check on our patient. Dr Marcel is in the room with the patient as we walk in, insisting he stays to make sure the patient is okay, although I suspect he has alternate motivations. “You wanna be the one to start questioning, sweetheart?’’ Adam asks me. I laugh at him and nod, meanwhile Crockett gives Adam a dead stare. Adam is a really nice guy, but I don’t see him as anything more than a close friend.
From questioning the suspect we pretty much came to the conclusion that this was a gang retaliation hit, pretty much like we expected. ‘’I’ll call Voight and give him an update, can you finish up the paperwork?’’ “Yeah sure, I’ll ju-’’ I start until Crockett interrupts me: ‘’Y/N darling, can I speak with you for a moment?’’ Adam and I followed him, ‘’No, I just want to see Y/N’’. Adam looks at me for confirmation. ‘’It’s fine Adam, I’ll meet you at the car in about thirty minutes.’’ I insist. Adam nods and Crockett and I walk away.
I follow Crockett in an awkward silence, his face red, sweat on his forehead and his breathing speeds up. ‘’In here” he commands as he opens the door to an empty office, slamming the door closed, his eyes cold and full of anger. ‘’So, what’s up dr Marcel.’’ ‘’I’m not stupid, what is up with you and Ruzek?’’ “Nothing, we’re just coworkers and friends. Besides Crockett, don’t you remember what you did, hooking up with April and how you told me we were nothing.’’
‘’I don’t fucking care, you’re supposed to be mine, only mine. I see the way he looks at you, stop flirting with him’’ he says with a deep raspy voice, while putting his arms behind me, looking me in between the wall and his warm body. I can feel his hot breath on my face, it’s so silent that I can hear his heart beating while I look him deep in the eyes. ‘’Crockett I-” I start, only to be interrupted by his lips on mine. One of his arms grabbed my waist, pulling me closer to him, not leaving any space between our bodies. My hands in his hair, softly tucking at it, while my other hand rests on his cheek. His tongue enters my mouth, he presses his knee between my legs as I softly moan into the kiss. He pulls me even closer and lifts me as I wrap my legs around him. He walks us to the desk while stumbling into a chair and the wall. I giggle as we pull apart, he smiles, both of us out of breath, faces flushed red and lips swollen. ‘’You’re my girl, only mine darling’’ Crockett murmurs into my mouth.
He softly kisses my forehead, then my nose, cheek and lips, planting kisses over my entire body. Crockett softly bites my lip and I moan, in the meanwhile I take his shirt off, my hands traveling down his torso. ‘’God, you’re so pretty, all for me’’ Crockett whispers into my ear. I softly moan “Crockett please’’, he works his way down towards my jaw, afterwards he starts kissing my neck, leaving behind soft bites on the places he knows so well to be extra sensitive. Crockett smoothly takes off my shirt, starts kissing my shoulder and collarbone while keeping his arms closely wrapped around me. ‘’you’re so beautiful my darling, no one else can have you, I don’t want anyone else besides you my love’’ Crockett says softly, his face being so close to me that I can feel his breath on my face as I stare him deep in the eyes.’’Oh really, prove it then’’ I smirk. He continues kissing my neck and collarbone, this time more harshly and passionately, his stubble rough on my skin, he bites on my skin leaving behind marks as I moan more loudly. One of his hands was roughing through my hair, the other one intertwined in my hand, my hand resting on his chest. “Crockett, this is gonna leave behind marks’’ ‘’That’s the entire point darling, everyone needs to know that you are mine and -’’ The moment gets rudely interrupted by my phone ringing, me and Crockett pull apart. Its Adam calling.
‘’Hey Crockett, i should get back, we’re working on an important case.’’ He smirks at me, ‘’I’m sure your coworkers won’t suspect a thing about what happened.’’ I put on my shirt and look in the mirror, my hair completely messed up, face bright red, lips swollen and my neck, jaw and collarbone covered in marks. Adam calls again. “I really got to go, finish what we started tonight?’’ ‘’You bet, come over to my place after your shift?’’ I humm in agreement as I try fixing my hair, which is a helpless case. Crockett plants a soft kiss on my forehead, ‘’see you later my darling’’.
As I walk backwards out of the office, laughing at Crockett and holding his hand, I bump into something, or rather someone. Dr Halstead. He first looks confused at the sight of the two of us, then he giggles. ‘’Hey Will, it’s not what it looks like man’’ Crockett awkwardly says. He laughs ‘’Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone’’ he says while walking away laughing to himself. I won’t hear the end of this.
a/n: this is the first time writing anything seriously, request are open and welcome, so is commentary and advice. Have a good day :) also I'm thinking of making this story into a longer series of stories

Merry December 2022 - Day 24
Hello, lovelies. So, the next two days will be insanely busy, so I decided to just post the last two stories today. Hope everyone has an amazing holiday, filled with love and laughter. :)
Day 24 of Merry December
Prompt: White
Fandom: Chicago PD
Pairing: Hank Voight x OFC (Lilly)
Words: 1297
T.W.: N/A
Summary: A little bit of hope.
Tumblr media
The snow falls outside the window. Little snowflakes swirl close to the glass. Chatter, laughter and music fill the air. Memories flood Hank's mind like a wave. Memories of that first Christmas out of prison. Memories of an unwanted party. Memories of a snowball fight with Erin and Justin, the only piece of normalcy that day. Memories of reconnecting with Erin and Justin after that. So much has changed since that day. He now runs the Intelligence Unit. He has a team that are the best at what they do. He has a better relationship with Erin and Justin. He's found love, something he thought he would never find.
Meeting Lilly was a fluke. She had been his nurse when he was shot, as well as Al's. It seemed that every time that someone from Intelligence got hurt, Lilly was there to help. She even stayed with Burgess while she was in the hospital after getting shot and going as far as making house calls to help her with her bandages. It didn't take long for Hank and Lilly to fall in love. They've been together for three years now and it still felt new and fresh. He loved her with all his heart and knew she felt the same.
And now, there he was. Five years after he got out and yet another Christmas party filled with detectives and a few of the Brass. Only this time he had not only Erin but Lilly by his side as well. Hank was so lost in his own mind that he didn't hear Lilly approaching. Lilly snaked her arm under his and kissed his cheek.
- "You okay, babe?" - Lilly asked him. He must have looked a tad lost, for her to be asking him that. Hank just smiled and kissed her. He couldn't believe he could be this lucky. Something was bound to go wrong, he just knew it.
- "I'm okay." - He reassured her and led her back to the crowd of people where the Mayor was trying to make everyone feel welcomed.
Across the room, Hank saw Erin in the same spot he was in five years ago, looking out the same double doors that led to the street. He could tell all she wanted was to leave. That's when he decided some memories were worth repeating. Moving across the room with Lilly by his side, he stood next to Erin.
- " Planning an escape? If so, I’m begging you to take me with you." - Erin chuckled, remembering that those were the exact same words that she had said to him all those years ago.
- "As if we could. The Chief knows better than to let us out of her sight."
- "If you remember, last time you said something like that, we were still able to escape."
- "You think you can pull that off again? Love to see you try. Only this time it would be the three of us, not just you and me." - Erin nodded towards Lilly, still holding on to his arm, looking oblivious to the conversation.
- "If we move quickly, the Chief is about to go greet some people by the bar and we'll have an opening." - Lilly said, obviously tuned in on the conversation. Apparently, she had been observing their boss and was waiting for the right moment to let them know when to escape. "That's my girl.", Hank thought, smiling at her.
Sure enough, the Chief excused herself and headed for the bar. Erin opened the doors and the three of them quickly traded the warmth of the room for the coldness of the street. Lilly shivered when the cold air collided with her skin and Hank took his jacket off, wrapping her in it, kissing her in the process. Erin wasn't feeling the cold. She must have been planning this escape since they heard about the party, because under her uniform she was clearly wearing a polar jersey.
Hank saw Erin approach Lilly and ask her if she was okay. He was always amazed at how quickly Erin welcomed Lilly into their crazy, mismatched family. They had a true sisterly bond from the moment they met. It was safe to say that Erin looked up to Lilly and Lilly felt the same about Erin. Between the two of them and Burgess, they had a bond that he was sure nothing could sever.
Lilly whispered something in Erin’s ear and next thing he knows, he’s being attacked with snowballs. The grin on each other’s face was undeniable. He quickly grabbed some snow and made two balls from it. Throwing them in quick succession, both hit his intended targets: Erin’s stomach and Lilly’s shoulder.
The girls didn’t back down. Grabbing some more snow and throwing it at him, soon enough Hank was covered in snow. They would run and hide behind the small bushes for protection, a makeshift barrier between them and Hank, in an attempt to protect themselves from him, as they ran down the street, but he was a sharpshooter, hitting them with each snowball he would throw.
Their laughter was contagious and could be heard over the street noises, overpowering the music, chatter and cars that were driving by. Hearing such laughter, people started gravitating towards their large windows and were presented with the sight of two decorated detectives, plus the oldest detective’s girlfriend, in an intense snowball fight.
Hank didn’t care that everyone was watching. He was having too much fun to bother with some disapproving looks and a few chuckles. Making a run for it, he caught Lilly in his arms. Erin was nowhere to be found. Turning her in his arms, Hank pulled her closer and kissed her. Lilly returned the kiss, her cheeks red from the cold and all the running. Breaking the kiss, he looked into her eyes and smiled fondly at the woman that stole his heart.
- “I love you so much, Lilly Richards.”
- “I love you too, Hank Voight.” – Lilly answered with a smile, before kissing him again.
A kiss that was interrupted by a snowball right in both their cheeks. They laughed wholeheartedly and Erin’s laughter joined theirs. Hank signaled to her to join them. When Erin was at arm’s reach, he pulled her close. It must have been quite the sight, all three of them, standing in the snow in a small grass covered area, hugging each other’s close, completely covered in snow. He didn’t care. He was happy.
The moment, however, was quickly interrupted by the Chief’s assistant’s voice calling out to them. Hank saw Lilly’s face reach a new level of redness and Erin rolling her eyes. Turning his head towards the man, he nodded towards him before releasing both girls from his arms. Lilly tugged at his jacket, clearly feeling embarrassed. Hank simply kissed the top of her head before taking her hand in his and taking both her and Erin back towards the house.
They all made their way back inside, unable to hide the grin on their faces. Reaching the second floor of the Mayor’s mansion, Erin took Lilly to one bathroom so they could dry off the best they could. Hank went into a different bathroom and did the same. Looking at himself in the mirror, he just stood there, thinking of how much his life had changed and how much happier he was now.
Life wasn’t always easy for him, in the more recent years, but now he had, once again, found true happiness. Happiness provided by a single person: Lilly. She made everything worthwhile. That’s when he made a decision. He wasn’t gonna lose her. He wasn’t gonna take that chance. He knew what he had to do.
Hopefully, by the end of the year, Hank Voight will no longer be single. Hopefully.

Hello beautiful, just wanted to thank for writing stories and giving us reader some of your time. I don't know if you are open for requests but I give it a try. 🤍🙏 I'm in desperate need of a voightx reader fic, angsty hurt and comfort and fluff. Maybe you like my idea or get some inspiration to write something similar.
The reader is working with intelligence and Voight is instantly taken aback by her appearance. She is also attracted to Hank. But they keep their feelings for each other hidden. One night the goes out for drinks and in their tipsy state the reader and Hank make out.... The next day Voight is giving her the silent treatment and is also cold and unfriendly to her, just ignoring the fact they kissed. His unfair behavior goes on for days until she gets him to talk to her, telling her that is was was mistake and she should move on leaves her feeling more hurt and heartbreak than ever. The situation is also taking a physically toll on her, with no appetite and her deathly sick appearance the team instantly worries.
We all know Voight would think he can't give her what she needs or be good enough fir this kind and beautiful girl.
Later on there's a guy hitting on her and Voight pushes her to date the stranger (secretly dying from jealousy, but believing another man can give her all she needs). The date ends catastrophic when she realizes that the guy drugged her, secretly and in panic she calls voight in her dizzy and weakening state and manages to tell him the bar they're currently. Not able to defend herself in her drugged state the guy is able to drag her to his car in the parking lot. She's struggling and fighting for her life, he gets frustrated and beat her up..... Voight comes just in time and keeps the guy from kidnapping her. Nearly conscious and beaten Hank takes her to his house to attend her injuries and to take care of her. Some fluffy end in which he admits his feelings for her... 🤍🙏
Currently I am sucker for caretaker fics, with sick and hurt reader. The intelligence team would be soo cute taking care and at a Hank Voight who hides his feelings and worries for the girl just get me 😍
I am soooo sorry for this long request, but I have this idea in my head since forever and I just needed it to share, in desperate hope a talented writer might create a good story. Don't hesitate to tell me if this sucks.
Lot's of love 🤍

"Hey Boss, the new recruit is here." Antonio called out to Voight, as he walked you to your new desk. Dropping your bag to the side, you pulled off your coat.
"Thank you Detective, I appreciate your help." Smiling, Antonio nodded his head,
"Call me Tonio, everyone else does. Come on, we can get you some coffee, you're gonna need it." Nodding, you followed him to the break room. Tonio gave you the rundown of the most recent case the team was working on. A gang was currently running drugs through the city, and the intelligence unit was still unsure of how they were managing to go undetected.
"Wow... that sounds like a lot. You know, I worked a case once where a gang was using the postal service to distribute their drugs. The leaders brother used to work for them, and kept a master mailbox key." Antonio looked surprised,
"Huh... that... could actually be plausible."
"'TONIO!" Whipping his head round, he watched as Voight stalked in, a deep frown on his face.
"I thought you said the new starter was... here..." His voice trailed off as his gaze focused on you. You felt your breath leave you, as though you had been gut punched. You'd been told a lot about Voight, had been told what a hardass he was. Never taking no for an answer, scaring off more teammates and pissing off coworkers more than anyone else in the CPD. What you wasn't prepared for, was for how handsome he was. Yes, he was at least twenty years older than you but you couldn't help yourself, you let your eyes roam over him. From his boots, all the way to the black button down shirt with a black leather jacket over the top.
Clearing his throat, Antonio stepped forward.
"Boss this is (Y/N). I've already brought her up to speed with the case, and she's actually given a decent idea of how the drugs could be being moved around the city." Antonio frowned, looking at Voight, and then to you.
"Boss?"
"Huh... yeah?" Clearing his throat, Voight gave a tight smile and held out his hand.
"Nice to meet you (Y/N), glad you're all caught up." Averting his gaze, he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Uh... Tonio, I need you to run down a lead. It's the one that Ruzek brought us yesterday, take the newbie." Looking back up at you, he gave a small smile and quickly turned around heading back to his office.
"Um... he seems... intense." Your voice sounded shaky. You quickly took a large gulp of coffee, wincing as it scolded your throat.
"Yeah he um... I think he's a bit stressed right now." Tonio frowned, then quickly smiled.
"Okay, let's go." Striding back out, you grabbed your coat and badge. Risking a quick glance behind you, you saw Voight in his office watching you.
--------------------------------------
The case took a nasty turn. The gang that was peddling drugs, seemed to have looped kids into their dealings. Picking the weak and neglected kids whose parents wouldn't give a shit as to their whereabouts. You kept your head down, working hard and not getting underfoot. Learning the ways and methods the team worked, but you could start to feel the pressure of this case sinking into your bones. You felt angry that innocent kids were being used, and made to believe that they were cared for. You rubbed your face, the night had settled around you causing the light from your screen to become harsh to your eyes.
"Hey (Y/N), it's late. Come on, we're all going for a drink." Glancing up, Halstead smiled from his desk as everyone else pulled on their coats, shutting down their computers. huffing out a sigh your stretched.
"Yeah sure... okay sounds good."
You all headed to Molly's, grabbing a booth in the back you sat and powered through a few beers. As the mood lightened, jokes started to fly around along with casual conversation. Soon you found yourself laughing at Ruzek and his ridiculous stories.
"There room for one more?" Glancing behind you, you found Voight staring down at you intently. Swallowing hard, you nodded and shifted your chair over.
"Sure thing Boss." Voight grabbed a chair and sat next to you.
"Thanks, and when we're not on shift, you can call me Hank." Smiling, you took a sip of your drink. Feeling more confident, mainly because of the ten or so beers flowing through you, you leant in closer to Voight.
"Thanks. So... Hank... how has your day been?" Smiling, Hank watched you for a moment, then lent in further.
"Well it has been busy... but I think we are making good progress, and the drinks are certainly helping right now." With that he took a large gulp of bourbon, causing a colour to rise in his cheeks.
The night continued, with the team drinking and laughing. The more you drank, you found yourself relaxing into your seat which incidentally lead to you leaning further into Hank. You enjoyed the warmth that came from him, the smell of his cologne, the deep laugh that vibrated out of his chest. You tried not to squirm as you felt yourself becoming flushed with excitement.
"Okay guys... I need to get to bed. I'd like it to be at least a month before I drunkenly embarrass myself. " The others laughed and jeered, trying to persuade you to stay as you pulled on your coat.
"I'm gonna head off too, (Y/N) I'll walk you out." Waving bye to everyone, you headed to the door, your mind racing at the thought of Hank being so close behind you. Rummaging in your bag you found your phone, pulling up a taxi app.
"How you getting home?" Looking up, you smiled and showed him your phone.
"I was going to get a cab."
"Ah, don't worry about that I'll give you a ride. Come on."
"Oh you don't have to..."
"I know I don't have to, but I want to. It's late and I can at least know you're safe." Dropping your phone back into your bag, you pulled your jacket closer around you.
"Then lead the way Boss." Smirking at him, as he raised an eyebrow, he lead you across the street to his truck. Climbing in, you sank into a soft leather chair. The air was heavy with Hanks smell, and coffee.
"So... where do you live?" Shutting the door behind him, Hank started the truck and turned on the heater. Giving him your address, you pulled your seatbelt on. The drive was quiet, but not uncomfortable. Hank maneuvered the truck smoothly through the light city traffic, occasionally asking you questions about your previous jobs. Before you knew it, you were outside your house. Stopping the truck, he placed his arm behind your chair, quietly watching you.
"Thank you, Voight. I appreciate the lift."
"You're welcome sweethear'." You felt a heat creep over your face at the endearment. You dropped your gaze not wanting him to see.
"Well um... goodnight. I..." Before you could finish your sentence, Hank had tilted your face up, his hand remaining under your jaw.
"Just... a taste." You blinked and felt as his lips pressed against yours. Moaning quietly, you reached your hand up grazing the back of his neck. Pulling him in closer to you. You're not sure at what point it happened, but you ended up pulled into Hanks lap, slowly kissing him for what felt like hours. Humming quietly, he pressed his head against yours.
"I um... I should probably go. I need to be fresh for tomorrow... I don't want my boss to get pissed at me." Smiling, Hank let you shift out of his lap and into the passenger seat again.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bright and early boss." Climbing out you headed into your house, Hank remaining outside until you had locked your front door. Hank rubbed his face and pulled his truck out onto the main road. What the fuck had he done.
-------------------------------------------
The next morning Hank got to the office bright and early. He didn't want to be disturbed by anyone. This case was starting to piss him off, and he didn't want to fuck around chasing any more dead beat leads. He noticed as the rest of the team trickled in, all of them having a haggard look that suggested they'd all drunk a bit too much last night. He noticed how you watched him through the blinds of his office, like you was waiting for him to call you in for a chat. He probably should talk to you, but he just couldn't do it right now. He was too pissed at himself to even consider having a civilised conversation.
He made sure he kept busy for the rest of the day, he didn't want to speak to anyone unless needed. He chased down lead after lead until he managed to find one that was promising. After ten hours, and a painful conversation with a local informant, Voight managed to track the ring leader down and haul him and his gang into lockup. He left Antonio and Burgess shutting down the lab, and bagging up evidence.
"(Y/N), with me." nodding quickly, you followed Voight out into the stations car park.
"I'm sorry about last night, I shouldn't have... I shouldn't have kissed you."
"I didn't mind Hank, I actually enjoyed..."
"No... it won't be happening again. I am too old for you, and I won't be able to give you anything that you want. So it's best to just... forget about it okay." It killed him to see the pain and hurt in your eyes.
"Hank I..."
"It was a mistake (Y/N), okay?" He didn't meant to raise his voice, but he saw the anger building in you.
"Not a problem Boss, I've already forgotten." Watching you march back into the building, he groaned inwardly, kicking himself for his tactless approach.
For the next few weeks, Voight watched as you worked alongside the team, effortlessly working leads and solving case after case. He couldn't stand how pale you had become, how when everyone else had lunch you seemed to find a reason not to eat with them.
"(Y/N), eat something will you. I don't want you passing out on shift." Whipping your head round, you glared at Voight as he stalked past you. Grinding your teeth, you forced yourself to answer.
"Sir." Grabbing your coat, you nodded to 'Tonio.
"I'm heading out for some food, want anything?" 'Tonio shook his head,
"Na I'm good, thanks (Y/N)." Nodding, you headed out.
You didn't realise how hungry you were until you were half way through a footlong sub from the local deli. Your stomach ached in protest and delight at the amount of food you were consuming. You couldn't help but think about how Voight had kissed you that night, it had felt glorious. You hadn't dated anyone for a few years, hadn't really had the time. You'd enjoyed your job too much. But when Voight had kissed you, you felt a new rush, a new thrill. Then the fucker had ditched you.
"Asshole." Throwing your rubbish in the bin, you headed back into the office. Taking the stairs two at a time, you wasn't focused on the people around you and you slammed into someone.
"Shit... I'm sorry I wasn't watching." Glancing up you found a guy in front of you smiling.
"(Y/N)! Christ I haven't seen you in years." Focusing on the face attached to the voice, you saw it was Jacob. A guy you had gone through the academy with. Huffing out a breath, you gave a wane smile.
"Hey, Jacob. How you doing?" Nodding, he grinned, stepping closer to you.
"Yeah I'm good thanks, I'm working over with homicide now."
"Sweet." You shifted your gaze, looking up to where you wanted to go. He glanced behind you, eyes going wide.
"Are you... you up in Intelligence?"
"uh-huh."
"Holy shit that is amazing, I've heard Voight is a right hardass... is that true?"
"I can be when pushed." Jacobs eyes widened as he spun round.
"Um... sorry Sir, I didn't mean anything by it." Smirking Voight clapped him on the shoulder,
"Don't sweat it. (Y/N), when you're ready we've got a lead to run down." Turning, Voight headed up the stairs to the rest of the team.
"I should head up." Moving to follow Voight, Jacob caught your arm.
"Hey do you fancy grabbing a drink tonight, after work?" Glancing up the stairs you saw Voight had slowed down, probably trying to over hear your conversation.
"Um... yeah I'll uh... I'll let you know. Big case, not sure what time I'll be finished."
"Yeah... yeah okay sounds good." Heading up the stairs, you caught Voights eye.
"Hey... you dating that guy?" Frowning, you glanced up at him.
"I... no I went through the academy with him. He just asked if I wanted to meet for a drink."
"Hmm... you should go. You're a young woman, you should get out from behind the desk." Watching him closely, you leaned in looking for any hint of a joke.
"You... okay sure, why not." Turning on your heel you marched into the office heading straight to your desk to phone Jacob. If Voight insisted you go, then you'll go. If only you'd turned round, you'd have seen the fury burning in his eyes.
-------------------------------------------
Checking your reflection, you smiled. You'd picked your best emerald green dress, it dipped low at the front and hugged at your hips just right. You felt good for the first time in a while.
"Forget Voight." Grabbing your coat and bag, you headed out the door.
You found Jacob at the bar sipping on a beer, spotting you he grinned.
"Wow... you look amazing!" Grinning, you pulled your coat off and placed it over the bar stool.
"Thank you, you scrub up well yourself." Gesturing to the bartender, you ordered a red wine.
"Cheers." Taking a big sip you smiled. You looked around the bar, seeing all the different people chatting and drinking. You felt yourself relax a bit into your seat.
"So... how's your case going?" Looking up, you were stalled for moment.
"Uh... yeah it's going okay. It's a tough case but we're getting there." You didn't overly want to chat about work, as it reminded you of Voight. Jacob seemed to get the hint as you didn't expand any further on the subject. You sat quietly for a moment, just sipping on your drink. After a while, you both seemed to just relax into a conversation, reliving the academy days minutes passing into hours.
"You feeling okay?" Jacobs voice seemed to pull you out of a blurred moment that you didn't remember going into.
"Hmm? oh... yeah I'm fine, I'm just... gonna head to the bathroom okay?" Smiling, he nodded.
"Okay, well uh... shall we head out after this? Maybe find somewhere to get food?" Standing up, you nodded holding onto your chair for dear life.
"Yeah that's fine." Grabbing your bag, you headed to the bathroom, feeling your legs wobble and your head start to swirl. Pulling in a deep breath, you focused on the toilet door, not wanting to look more drunk than you were.
Pushing open the door, you leant on the sink and stared at your reflection. Your pupils looked blown, but you couldn't tell. You couldn't focus. You tried to remember how many drinks you'd had, tried to remember anything but it was all becoming a hazy dream.
"Shit.." Stumbling into a toilet stall, you locked the door behind you and rummaged in your bag pulling out your phone. You truly hoped you'd punched in the right number.
"(Y/N)?" Hanks voice cut through the phone, relief flooded through you.
"Han..k... I need... come help... been drugged."
"Where are you!" You felt yourself slowly drifting off.
"I... I'm ... bar...South side... bird...bird... Spar..." Your voice drifted off,
"Bird... the Sparrow... you at the Sparrow!"
"Yea... bathro." Your world went black.
Voight drove like a madman, sirens blaring not caring who he cut off in the process. Hold on, please god hold on. The streets were a blur as they flashed past him in a haze of lights and noise. Pulling into the car park, Voight spotted a guy hauling a woman to his car. Stepping out, he recognised it as Jacob. Picking up his pace, he started towards him catching your voice as he got closer.
"No... get off you sick fuck."
"Stop struggling... you know you're going to love it." Hank watched as you swung at him catching him in the mouth, but it didn't stop there. Jacob slapped you, and punched you in the stomach. Hank was at his back within seconds. Grabbing him by the hair, he slammed his face into the side of the car, continuing to punch him as he slid to the ground. He wouldn't have stopped, could have killed him had it not been for your voice calling to him.
"Hank..." Looking behind him, he saw you stirring on the floor blood pouring from your mouth.
"Shit... (Y/N), I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Scooping you up, he carried you to his car putting you in the passenger seat. Peeling out of the car park, he sped away from the bar. Glancing over at you he took your hand,
"Hey, (Y/N) stay awake alright. We're nearly there." You let your head lull to the side, the warm air from the heater and the blow to the head making you sleepy.
"Where's there?" you murmured out.
"Home."
-------------------------------------------
Waking up, your head felt heavy, your vision blurred. Rubbing a hand over your face, you realised you no longer had your dress on but a soft t-shirt with the letter CPD stamped on the chest. Your body ached, and yet you felt content in the soft confines of the duvet.
"Hmm... s'good."
"(Y/N)?" Glancing to the side, you found Voight sitting in a chair next to your bed.
"Hey, um... what am I doing here?" Reaching out, Voight took your hand and held onto it gently.
"You rang me last night, you went out for a drink with the Jacob guy and ah... he um... he spiked your drink." Frowning, you tried to remember but all you could think of was the toilet stall you had sat in.
"I got there just as he was dragging into his car, but you resisted and uh.. he hit you a few times."
"I um... christ I don't remember much I'm sorry Boss. Guess that's why my head hurts hmm?"
"What! No, don't be sorry, that scumbag is the one who should be sorry not you! I'm... I'm just glad I was able to get you out before... well I'm glad I got to you." Smiling you squeezed his hand with yours,
"Thanks Boss."
"'Tonio checked into your boy, and he's not a cop, well not any more at least. He didn't make it passed being a beat cop, he assaulted two women so he got fired." You felt your stomach churn.
"Well... maybe next time I should get you guys to run a background check on whoever I plan on going for a drink with hmm?" Dropping your head back into the pillow you winced as pain flared through your eyes. Looking around the room, you saw that it was rather warm and, oddly enough, cosy.
"We won't need to do that." Voight sounded a little nervous, something you had never thought he could be. Tilting your head, you gazed at him intently,
"And why's that hmm?"
"Because I'm not a creep who preys on women, so you'll be safe."
"Wha..?" Sighing, he shifted out of his chair to sit on the edge of the bed, running his other hand over your hair. It only occured to you now that this was Hanks house, Hanks bedroom, Hanks shirt that you were wearing.
"I shouldn't have encouraged you to go on a date with that guy. What I should have done, was date you myself. But instead I... I got nervous. Nervous that you'd see I wasn't anything but an old, beat up cop too stuck in his ways to make you happy in the ways that matter." Sitting yourself up, you leaned into Voight and kissed him. You wasn't sure how long it lasted, or when he had gently pushed you back leaning into you. Running your hands up his arms, you traced your fingers over his broad back. Breaking away, you pressed your head against his,
"You know, you never even asked what makes me happy. If you'd had just asked, I think we would have saved a lot of time... and spiked drinks." Smirking at him, he shook his head.
"Yeah I know, I'm a dumbass." Laughing at him, you brushed your hand over his jaw.
"I'll let you off, on one condition." Voight raised an eyebrow, and hummed quietly.
" You um... take these jeans off and stay in bed with me for the day hmm?"
"Yes Ma'am, you don't have to ask me twice." Standing he slowly unbuckled his belt, and unbuttoned the jeans. You felt a heat build in your face and stomach. This was going to be... an interesting day.

Hello amazing author! I was just wondering if you could do smut prompt #7, please! :)
@cwilliams23-blog1 - thank you so much for the request!
I apologise in advance for the length of this...it’s essentially a chapter all on its own! 😅
So I glossed over it in ‘Perfect Storm’ and only kinda eluded to it at the tail end of ‘Brand New Day’ but I think it’s about time we found out how that very first night went!
Really hope you enjoy 💛
P.S - an early post because I’m sat at O’Hare on my way home feeling very sorry for myself!!
—————————
Prompt: “If you don't hurry up, I'll do it myself."
Word Count: 4.6k
Warnings: Language, Smut [18+ Only]
Timeline: A continuation of C8 of ‘Perfect Storm’.

“Who says I want you to behave?”
The growl that tore from his throat was nothing short of feral as he gripped a handful of curls in a tight fist and fused his mouth back to hers, eager to feel her warm, pliant lips beneath his own.
But as eager as he was, there was no denying that it was such a bad idea. She was his subordinate. She was twenty years his junior. He shouldn’t even be thinking about her like this let alone be seriously considering taking her home. But right now he was doing way more than considering it. And, if he was being honest with himself, he’d been thinking about it for far longer than he was comfortable admitting.
He already knew she wouldn’t be like the other women he’d taken to bed over the last decade, where he would be itching to get out of the door as soon as it was over.
If he crossed that line with her tonight, he wasn’t sure if he’d ever be able to stop.
As her unbelievably soft lips melded with his, tongue tracing every ridge and texture his mouth had to offer, he idly wondered when he had started viewing her as anything other than just another member of his unit.
Hank Voight was many things but he didn’t consider himself blind and nor did he consider himself stupid - and you’d have needed to be both not to notice just how gorgeous Kate Meadows was. But as the weeks passed and he began to slowly peel away the many complex layers that made her who she was, he was surprised to find that there were so many things about her that appealed to his heart just as much as she appealed to his eyes. She was kind, loyal, strong, but there was a femininity and vulnerability that called to him on a visceral level, compelling him to know her in every way she would let him.
He recalled watching her march Gerald De La Croix through the bullpen, her beautiful face already dark with bruising and he had wanted to rip the bastard’s head off for laying his hands on her. As the tip of her tongue traced along his lower lip, her quiet groan of pleasure vibrating in his mouth, it suddenly occurred to him that that could very well have been the moment he had started falling for her. And now here he was, standing in the blistering cold coming to the very stark realisation that he was falling in love with his subordinate and, aside from the obvious physical attraction they had for one another, he had absolutely no idea if she felt the same.
Was he just an itch she needed to scratch? Something she just needed to get out of her system?
But before he could analyse her intentions any further, his inner monologue was interrupted when she broke away for air, breathing heavy as her fingers toyed with the short tresses at the nape of his neck.
“You wanna get outta here?” She whispered against his lips, her body trembling slightly in his arms but, whether it was with arousal or due to the polar vortex whipping around them, he wasn’t sure.
When he opened his eyes, she was peering up at him, eyes alight with desire and, before either of them could change their mind, he slipped his hand in hers with a mumble of acquiescence and hailed a cab back to her place.
The ride to her apartment was fraught with sexual tension and, although they managed to refrain from making out like teenagers right there in the backseat, they weren’t quite able to keep their hands entirely to themselves; the covert touches and whispered promises only serving to heighten the anticipation of what was to come.
When the cab finally rolled to a stop outside of her apartment, Hank handed the driver a few bills with a muttered thanks and allowed Kate to lead him out of the cold with her fingers intertwined with his, a heady combination of arousal and adrenaline surging through his veins with each step he took towards her front door. She tossed a coy grin over her shoulder when she dropped his hand and slipped the key into the lock, her eyes fluttering closed when his warm body pressed against the length of her spine, the familiar scent of leather, citrus and spices making her feel more lightheaded than the passable ninety proof at the gala ever could.
The second the door was closed, Hank had her pinned against the cool surface, his hands braced on either side of her head as he mapped a path along her jaw with curious lips. Kate instantly dropped her purse and keys to the floor with a clatter, sliding both palms along the powder blue fabric of his shirt from his stomach to his chest, pushing his well-tailored jacket from his shoulders until it joined her belongings on the hardwood floor.
“This is such a bad idea.” She whispered into the darkness, unknowingly paying homage to his own earlier hesitance and, even through the thick haze of lust clouding his vision, he needed to make sure she knew that she still had a choice.
“We can stop.”
His hands had wormed their way beneath her heavy wool coat but, as he spoke, he forced them still on her hips, refusing to pressure her one way or another but desperately hoping she wouldn’t come to her senses and send him home alone.
“God no, please don’t stop.”
He growled low in his throat the second the whispered plea left her lips, his cock throbbing almost painfully in his trousers as he returned to his task of pressing a series of hot, open-mouthed kisses along her neck, pausing briefly to dip his tongue into the hollow at the base of her throat.
The moment her coat joined his jacket on the floor, Hank inched forwards so that they were pressed tight together from thigh to chest, his mouth capturing hers in a passionate kiss just as he wedged a knee between her parted legs, groaning deeply when she instinctively ground down against him.
Her insistent fingers made short work of his tie before they moved on to the tiny pearl buttons of his shirt, the fabric gradually parting down the middle to reveal a firm chest with a generous smattering of wiry, yet surprisingly soft, salt and pepper curls. With a hum of pleasure, Kate ran her palms along his torso, her fingers mapping every patch of exposed skin as though trying to commit every brown-sugar freckle to memory.
She was already tugging at the buckle of his belt when Hank’s lust-addled brain eventually caught up and he went in search of the hidden zip on her dress, craving the feel her warm skin against his own. Once he located the tiny piece of metal between her shoulder blades, he seemed to change tact and, instead of impatiently yanking down the zipper as she expected he would, he eased it down so slowly that Kate was sure they’d be ringing in the New Year long before he finally got her naked.
“If you don’t hurry up, I’ll do it myself.” She warned, tearing her mouth from his as her head fell back against the door with a dull thud, eyes fluttering closed as Hank slowly peeled the top of her dress down to reveal a smooth, tanned décolletage.
“You always this demanding?” He muttered against her skin, his lips tracing along her collarbones as gravity took over and Kate’s dress fell away from her body, hitting the floor with a quiet whoosh.
Hank swallowed thickly when he found himself eye level with her spectacular cleavage, the perfect globes encased in what appeared to be expensive black lace but, all too soon, his lidded gaze was drawn back to her face by a gentle finger beneath his chin.
“You bet your ass I am.”
“Huh, why am I not surprised.” Hank growled with a grin, hinging at the waist to grasp the back of Kate’s thighs, ignoring her squeak of protest as he effortlessly drew both of her legs around his waist, straightening back up with her in his arms in a surprising display of strength. “Bedroom?”
Kate just about managed to whisper directions before she sealed her mouth to his in a lusty kiss, all wet tongues with very little finesse but this was exactly how she wanted him. Untamed. Raw. Passionate. The silent hallway was soon filled with quiet moans, sharp breaths and the telltale sound of lips meeting and parting until Kate found herself being gently deposited on the edge of her bed. Hank stood between her parted thighs, sliding his shirt from his shoulders while she tackled the button and zipper of his pants with slightly shaky fingers, carelessly shoving them to the floor to reveal a pair of plain black boxers beneath.
Draping his shirt over the back of a nearby chair, Hank’s pulse quickened and his throat became dry as he watched her loop her fingertips beneath the waistband of his underwear, slowly drawing the fabric down his thighs until his thick length sprang free, flushed, throbbing and leaking with excitement.
“I knew it.” She muttered coyly, the corner of her mouth ticking upwards as she peered up at him with a wry smirk, her warm palms gliding over his hipbones teasingly.
“Knew wha- uhh, fuck!”
Hank never got to find out what Kate knew because suddenly her mouth was otherwise occupied, dragging her tongue along the prominent veins criss-crossing beneath velvety soft skin and ending her inaugural tour of his sizeable package with a featherlight kiss to the trimmed nest of curls at the base.
Taking him in hand, she continued her merciless teasing with light strokes and gentle kisses until Hank thought he might spontaneously combust if she didn't give him a little more friction. Carding his fingers through her hair, he secured the wavy locks at the back of her head in a gentle fist, his entire body vibrating with need when she blew a cool stream of air over his aching tip, glancing up at him through thick, dark lashes for a beat before taking the first few inches into her hot mouth with a hum of pleasure.
“Christ Kate.” He groaned, his head dropping backwards at the incredible sensation of her mouth on his heated flesh and, for a few long moments, he stood with his face tilted towards the ceiling, heart hammering against his ribs as she lavished his body with her undivided attention.
One warm palm was braced on the outside of his thigh while her other hand encircled the thick base, sliding upwards to stroke what she wasn’t able to fit in her mouth and Hank found himself throbbing with a surge of raw, masculine satisfaction at the mere thought. But when he dropped his burning gaze back to where her perfect lips were stretched wide around his cock, his breath hitched in his throat to find her already studying his face, soaking in every response to the subtle changes in pressure and tempo.
“Taste so good.” She hummed when she drew back to give her aching jaw a rest, slick fist gliding from tip to base as she flicked her tongue against the sensitive underside just below the wide crest.
He wasn’t sure if it was because she was particularly talented or simply because it was her mouth reverently tasting him but Hank was somewhat horrified when the familiar sensation signalling his impending orgasm began to bloom low in his belly.
The thought of finishing in her luscious mouth flashed in his mind and he could vividly envisage her throat contracting in response to each thick spurt of release, greedily swallowing down everything he had to offer. But there was no doubt in his mind that he wanted the first time to be while he was buried deep inside her, her body clutching him in a vice-like grip as she fell apart in his arms.
Gently pulling her away from his body, Hank leaned down to cup her face between his hands so he could capture her lips in a soft, albeit somewhat messy kiss, before slowly easing her down onto the mattress with his weight braced on his palms either side of her head, his hips settling comfortably in the cradle of her thighs.
“Who knew you had such a talented mouth, hmm?” He breathed in between kisses, smirking slightly when her back arched from the mattress with a keening groan.
“Who knew you were such a fucking tease?” She countered, hips rolling against him in a desperate bid for any kind friction against her throbbing bundle of nerves.
Hank couldn’t help but chuckle, beginning a slow path of hot kisses along her jawline and down the graceful column of her throat, pausing to suck a deep bruise into flesh just below her left collarbone before continuing his journey south. With a bit of manoeuvring, he managed to work his hands beneath her body to release the tiny hooks on her bra from their counterparts and bare her beautiful, full breasts to his hungry gaze. Balancing his weight on an elbow, he cupped one fleshy globe in his palm before guiding the dusky nipple towards his waiting mouth, sucking the tight bud into his hot mouth with a satisfied groan. Kate raked her fingernails along his scalp, her muscles strung taut with pleasure as he turned his attention to its neglected twin.
“Hank…”
Her breathy moan stopped him in his tracks, his entire body falling completely still. Up until this point, she had always referred to him as ‘Sarg’ or ‘Voight’ but now he knew what his given name sounded like spilling from her perfect lips, he wasn’t sure how he could ever go back to just being either of those things.
Releasing her flesh with a quiet ‘pop’, he shuffled further down her body, the sound of her quiet moans of pleasure like the sweetest symphony as he tracked his lips down her smooth, toned stomach. Sliding the tips of his fingers beneath the soft lace of her underwear, he slowly drew them down her legs, tossing them haphazardly across the room before returning his attention to the task at hand, stretching out on his belly with her knees draped over his shoulders, his mouth inches from her glistening centre.
It had been a while since he was last in this position. It wasn’t that he didn’t enjoy it, quite the contrary in fact. But if he was being truly honest with himself, he simply hadn’t cared enough to want to make any encounter last longer than strictly necessary. While he had never left a woman who came to his bed wanting, he couldn’t say that he’d really been making much of an effort either.
Until now.
And right now he wanted to know exactly what Katherine Meadows looked like, tasted like and sounded like when she was in the throes of pleasure.
“Tell me what you need Kate.”
Kate heard him loud and clear but she remained silent for a few long beats, one hand fisting the sheets in a white-knuckle grip and the other digging crescent-shaped marks into the bare flesh of his forearm where he had her undulating hips pinned to the mattress.
‘I-I need…” She stammered, trying desperately to find the words that would articulate just how much she wanted him; in every way possible.
“C’mon sweetheart, you gotta tell me what you want.”
His lips tracking nonsensical patterns along the silky skin of her inner thigh and the sound of his deep, gritty voice was so distracting that the only thing she could force out was a quiet admission that she was sure he already knew.
“I want you.”
She felt his lips tug into a smug smirk as he pressed an open-mouthed kiss to the soft sliver of skin where her thigh met her groin, his tongue briefly darting out to taste her.
“You want me here?” He teased, pressing a firm but gentle kiss to the cropped thatch of curls covering her mons, eyes glancing up the length of her body to soak in the sight of her flushed cheeks and sweat-slicked torso. “Or how ‘bout here?”
When he swiped the broad flat of his tongue along the length of her, a keening whine tore from Kate’s throat and the desire that had been simmering low in her belly suddenly exploded outwards, gooseflesh bursting across her skin as though she were caught somewhere between a bitter chill and an open flame.
He alternated between long, gentle laps and firm circles with the tip of his tongue, occasionally lifting his gaze to watch her throw her head back in bliss as he expertly brought her to the very edge. Pulling her aching nub between his lips, he slipped a finger into her molten heat, groaning despite himself at the impossibly snug fit.
“Fuck Hank, right there!”
Her chest was heaving with each laboured breath, sternum glistening with sweat as she jerked and writhed beneath him. He knew she was close by the way her thighs trembled and inner walls clenched around him but, the moment he added another thick finger to join the first, she came with a sharp cry, her knees snapping together at the sheer intensity of the wave of pleasure that washed over her.
Hank adjusted both the pace and the pressure of his ministrations, opting for slow and gentle as he eased her down from her high and, when her thighs finally released their death-grip on his head, he slipped his fingers out of her and shifted upwards to drape his body along hers, their mouths instantly fusing together in a languid, tongue-filled kiss.
“Inside me...right now.” Kate demanded in between kisses, apparently reluctant to draw her mouth away from his for any longer than strictly necessary.
She could feel him at the juncture of her thighs, like steel clad in velvet as he leisurely thrust against her, the rigid length of him sliding easily through her drenched folds.
Then suddenly he froze.
“Shit, I didn’t bring…anything.”
She had no idea how he managed to be so fucking sexy and yet so endearing at the same time. The fact that he very clearly hadn’t planned to get lucky tonight made her feel surprisingly powerful, even more so now that he was gazing down at her with a slightly crestfallen expression at the thought of their night being drawn to a premature close.
“Top drawer.”
Kate almost laughed out loud at his not-so-subtle sigh of relief when he leaned across her body and yanked open the drawer of her nightstand, pushing aside the charging cables, books and tubes of chapstick until he found a strip of square foil packets.
As he tore one off with his teeth and tossed the rest aside, he reluctantly acknowledged the slight spike of irritation that lanced down his spine at the fact that she even had condoms in her possession in the first place. She was a grown woman with needs so it wasn’t as though it was a surprise...he just fucking hated the thought of her using them with somebody that wasn’t him.
Shifting back onto his knees, he carefully rolled the latex down over his rock hard length under Kate’s watchful gaze and, as her heated hazel eyes tracked each and every move he made, Hank couldn’t remember the last time he had felt so virile, so wanted.
Kate’s heart was pounding in anticipation watching the muscles in his arms and chest ripple as he sheathed himself with steady, sure movements. It was surprisingly intimate watching him prepare himself for her but the overpowering feeling of ‘rightness’ of being in the moment with him was like nothing she had ever experienced before.
When he was done, she welcomed him with open arms as he crawled back between her thighs, his mouth immediately seeking hers when his lithe body pressed hers into the soft mattress and, once again, Kate was slightly overwhelmed by how perfectly his body seemed to fit with her own. Her entire world narrowed to where his flesh touched hers; his belly pressed tight against hers, the soft hairs on his chest grazing her aching nipples, his tongue teasing hers lazily. Wrapping her legs around his waist, she slipped a hand between their bodies to take him in hand and line the thick tip of his cock against her.
“You sure about this?” He asked quietly, hips remaining completely still as he eased up onto his palms so that he could look her in the eyes. “There’s no goin’ back once we cross this line.”
They’d reached the point of no return. If they didn’t stop now, everything would change. But, in Kate’s mind, everything already had changed. It changed the minute he’d followed her out into the street and kissed her as though she was the oxygen he needed to breathe.
Sliding the hand that had been gripping his shoulder to cup the sharp line of his jaw, Kate swiped the pad of her thumb over his lower lip, her eyes locked on his.
“I’m sure.”
His warm russet orbs seemed to burst into flames as his mouth descended on hers and suddenly he was pushing inside her, their simultaneous groans of pleasure being caught in open mouths as he eased forwards until his entire length was sheathed in her tight, pulsating heat. Tearing his mouth from hers, he buried his face into the soft, lightly fragranced skin of her neck, holding himself completely still as her inner walls stretched and rippled around him, gripping his body as though she never wanted to let him go.
“Hank?”
Clearly he had been still and silent for just a beat too long but he soon became cognizant of her gentle fingers carding through the short tresses on the back of his head, the palm of her other hand smoothing tenderly over his bicep. Peppering a myriad of kisses to the tender flesh of her throat, he shifted her thigh a little higher along his ribcage and began a slow, steady pace, barely withdrawing before pushing back in the hilt.
“Fuck!” Kate breathed, her eyes slamming shut and her head tilting backwards on a particularly deep thrust, fingernails raking the skin of his back leaving four, vivid pink welts in its wake.
“Mmm, that feel good?” He panted against her throat, sweat beginning to bead on his forehead as he steadily increased his pace, the sound of flesh meeting flesh echoing in the darkness.
“God yes, do it again.”
She felt his lips pull into a grin against her throat, a mumbled “so bossy” muffled in the juncture of her neck and shoulder before he did exactly as she asked, grinding his pelvis against her slick core with each downward thrust.
Kate was balancing on the edge of bliss when he slowed to a stop, his teeth nipping none-too-gently at her collarbones.
“What’re you-”
Her question was cut short when he slipped his arms beneath her body once more and rolled them both until he was on his back with Kate sitting astride him, her knees bracketing his lean hips. With a coy smirk, Kate braced her hands on his damp chest and leaned in to gently touch her lips to his.
“You want me to ride you?” She hummed, sucking his lower lip into her hot mouth, laving it with her tongue before straightening up and rolling her hips in smooth, slow circles, grinning when Hank growled low in his throat and his hands darted out to catch her waist in a tight grip.
The raging heat between them continued to burn as Kate undulated above him, sweat trickling down her spine as he met her thrust for thrust, the familiar coil of pleasure tightening in her belly.
“You close?” Hank ground out through gritted teeth, his eyes fixed on where his slick length disappeared inside her tight heat until there was no space at all left between their bodies. All Kate could do was whimper and nod frantically, her nails digging crescent-shaped grooves into the firm muscles of his chest, occasionally catching on his sensitive nipples as she rocked against him.
Grasping one of his hands in her own, Kate pressed the tips of his index and middle fingers against her swollen bundle, guiding him into the perfect rhythm that had her vision slowly turning black and her eyes rolling into the back of her head. Watching her writhe above him, using his body for her own pleasure was like the most potent aphrodisiac and Hank was barely holding back the tides of his own powerful climax, desperate to feel her tighten around him before he allowed himself to tumble over the edge into euphoria.
“Feel so good...come for me Kate.” He encouraged, sliding his free hand up over her rib cage to brush the pad of his thumb over the stiff peak of her nipple, cupping the ample flesh in his palm and giving it a firm squeeze.
The sound of his voice, his warm touch and the incredible stretch of his thick cock had Kate in sensory overload and, before long, her entire body was going rigid above him as she came with a loud cry. Hank was right there with her, his hips jerking frantically against her until he spilled inside her with a feral growl, his quivering muscles eventually relaxing when Kate dropped down onto his chest, boneless, breathless and deliriously satisfied.
When Kate finally floated back down to earth, she became cognizant of his gentle fingertips tracing nonsensical patterns along the length of her damp spine, his free hand resting softly against her thigh.
“Wow.” She breathed, eyes fluttering closed as the comforting sound of his heart thrummed steadily in her ear. Kate wondered when she had come to think of the sound of his heart as ‘comforting’? Had she even heard his heartbeat before now? She had felt it, that much she knew. She had felt it thudding wildly between her shoulder blades as she danced against him at the strip club and she had felt it again tonight; strong and steady, just like the man himself.
Hank hummed in agreement, waiting patiently until she was ready to move and, when she did eventually shift above him, the movement was accompanied by a whine of displeasure when he slipped from her body. Despite not being intimately joined, Kate still remained draped across his body with her head tucked comfortably beneath his chin, content to simply bask in the afterglow of incredible sex but, before she could drift off into a sated sleep, his deep, rumbling voice pulled her back to the present moment.
“What did you mean earlier? When you said that you knew?”
He felt her wry smile against the soft flesh of his throat, followed by a warm puff of air as she huffed out a light laugh. Lifting her chin, she nuzzled her nose against the underside of his jaw, pressing her lips to his Adam’s Apple before whispering softly in his ear.
“That you had the goods to back up the, uh, cocky swagger.”
Hank danced his fingertips over her dewy spine, grinning broadly as a tight whine escaped her throat when he rolled his hips against her sensitive, swollen centre, his softened length already twitching with renewed interest.
“Give me a few more minutes and I’ll show you just how cocky I can be.”

Hank Voight x fem!reader
Summary: You have to tell your occasional bed partner you are pregnant.
Wordcount: 903
Warnings: mentions of sex and pregnancy
This was a disaster. Predictable, but yet a total and upmost disaster. With the rate you spend your days naked and coitally engaged and the amounts of time you neglected a condom—lesson learned: always wrap it before you tap it—you could’ve known you’d end up pregnant.
You had been going over your head on how you were going to tell this to said bed partner. You weren’t even in a relationship with Hank. You met at work, as you were in charge of the archives. You always shared a laugh, some jokes and you constantly telling him you cannot keep giving him cases, but in the end you caved and did give him the case he wanted.
It started with an innocent kiss after he brought you home from a bar. It ended in multiple weekly rendezvous sans clothing.
You decided it would be for the best to tell him. Sure, getting pregnant wasn’t on your to do list for the next few years, but realizing you were pregnant with a little bean, made you smile, made you happy.
And you felt like you deserved a little happiness.
There was just one thing you were kinda scared about and that was his response. He’s quite a few years your senior, he already lost his adult kid.
Would he be happy about the news of this little baby?
That night, after lots of pondering over the situation, you stopped in front of his place, knocking on his door. Saying you were nervous, was a gross understatement. Your legs were restless, your hands were clenched to fists.
The door opened and you were met with Hank, who smiled at the sight of you. ‘There you are. I was planning on calling you.’
You smiled slightly, though you were kinda shocked too. ‘Oh, okay?’
‘Come on in,’ he said with a smile. ‘You’re just in time.’
‘In time for what?’
‘Dinner.’
‘Dinner?’ you parroted. Never had he invited you over for dinner. It always happened naturally, you staying over for dinner, lunch or breakfast. But specifically inviting you? That’s a first. ‘Sounds good.’
He stepped to the side and pressed a kiss on your temple. ’You look good.’
You started to fear the worst. He was falling for you and wanted the two of you to move on in a relationship. A kid this soon in a relationship isn’t good. No, this is dreadful.
You took off your coat and made your way inside, even more nervous than you already were.
Dinner was sweet. Hank, per usual, offered you some wine, but you politely declined. It was a little weird, but you said you had felt a little off all day—which wasn’t exactly a lie—and he simply nodded, as he took a sip from his scotch.
‘You okay?’ he asked. ‘You look worried.’
No need to postpone the moment any longer. This was it. The moment you had to tell him. ‘I need to tell you something, but I’m afraid you might become mad at me.’
‘I would never,’ he told you and you knew he was right. While he lost his temper more than once with suspects and other officers, he never did with you. He even said a few times already: he cares about you. A whole lot.
‘Promise?’
‘I promise.’
It’s now or never. ‘I’m pregnant,’ you blurted out.
It stayed quiet. Gosh, this silence was killing you. Your heart pounded in your chest, to a point where you weren’t so sure if it was heartburn or a soon-to-become heart attack.
‘Hank?’
‘You’re pregnant?’ his low and raspy voice asked you.
You nodded. ‘I am. I’m so sorry.’
‘Don’t apologize,’ he told you. ‘This is nothing for you to apologize over. It’s just… I’m thinking.’
‘About.’
‘How we’re going to handle this.’
‘We?’
‘Yeah, we. It takes two people to get pregnant and I’d like it for two people—meaning us—to work out.’
‘Okay?’ You started to play with your hands and shook your head in disbelief. ‘It’s really gonna be us together?’
‘Yes,’ he said. ‘It’s just I’m torn of asking you to move in with me or to do the parenting thing from a distance.’
He wasn’t appalled by the idea of you pregnant? ‘What? I don’t even know what to say.’
Hank slid off the chair and made his way over to you at the other side of the table. He sat down next to you and wrapped an arm around you. ‘You thought I’d show you the door?’
‘Maybe.’
Hank gave you a kiss on your cheek and said: ‘We’re in this together.’
‘You sure?’ you asked. ‘I mean, it’s diapers, late nights and a lot of crying. And then we haven’t even gotten started about me being pregnant, which I’m sure won’t be pretty.’
He laughed. ‘It’s hard work, but kids are always hard work. I… I’d love for us to become parents. Together.’
You smiled. ‘Yes, together.’
‘Before that all can happen though, we need to reestablish our relationship.’
You frowned. ‘Do we have to?’
‘At least you gotta be my girlfriend, since you’re already the mother of our child.’ He smiled and kissed you, properly this time. ‘We’ll make it work.’
‘You sure?’ you asked. ‘Because now is the time to back out, okay?’
He shook his head. ‘No backing out for me,’ he told you. ‘Not in a million years.’

“Get to Med… Jay’s been shot.”
As she waits in the waiting room at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, the sound of her sergeant’s words echoes in her ears. Her heart is racing, her knee is bouncing, her hands are trembling, and dried up tear streaks run down her face. She feels like she’s been sitting in the room for an eternity, waiting for any news about her husband’s condition. He was already in surgery by the time she got at the hospital, which was a little more than two hours ago.
“Y/N!” she hears her partner, Kim Burgess, call out as she approaches her. When the brunette reaches her, she embraces her tightly.
After Jay and Y/N revealed their relationship to Voight, the two women became partners. They’ve been like sisters since they went through the academy together, and they got even closer after Y/N and Hailey Upton were transferred to Intelligence after Erin Lindsey left.
“Has there been any news?”
“I haven’t heard anything; Will just went to see if he can get an update,” she says before breaking down again. “I can’t lose him, Kim,” she cries into the shoulder of her best friend. “I can’t do it without him. We just got married. I can’t be without him.”
“Jay’s strong; he’ll get through this,” Kim reassures her as she rubs her back and squeezes her even tighter; it crushes her heart to see her best friend and chosen sister like this.
“Did you get the person who shot him?” she says, pulling away from Kim and angrily wiping away the fresh set of tears that are falling.  The anger in eyes and voice wasn’t intended for her partner, or Adam who had been with Jay at the time of the shooting, or the rest of their team but at the guy who fired the gun at her husband and shot him. She begged Hank to give her five minutes with the person when they apprehended him, but Hank ordered her to stay at the hospital because that’s where she needed to be the most and swore he wouldn’t go easy with the guy.
Kim replies, moving to sit in the chair next to the one she was in, “He’s in custody. Voight’s making his life a living hell, I’m sure of it.”
She sits back down next to her and asks, “How’s Ruz?”
“He’s blaming himself,” Kim replies. “He’ll be here when he’s cleaned himself up, and the others will be here after they’ve finished with the interrogation.”
She nods, letting Kim know she heard her.
Minutes pass as they sit in quiet, Kim holding her hand and reminding her that she is not alone. Will eventually returns and informs her that there haven’t been any updates just yet before he leaves once more to grab them all some coffee.
Just as Will comes back with Adam following behind him, the surgeon walks into the waiting room.
As he approaches, Y/N and Kim get to their feet. As the doctor begins to talk, Will moves to stand next to his sister-in-law. “Surgery went smoothly. We removed the bullet, stopped the bleeding, and repaired the damage the bullet caused. Jay will make a full recovery, but he will need to take it easy for some time.”
Y/N exhales with relief, “I’ll make sure he does. Can we see him?”
“Two at a time,” the doctor says with a nod.
“Adam and I will go update everyone,” Kim says to her and Will before exiting the waiting room with Adam.
The doctor leads Will and Y/N to the room where Jay has been moved. Jay opens his eyes and looks sleepily at his wife and brother as soon as they enter the room.
“Oh, baby,” Y/N breathes as she walks over to his bed and takes his hand in hers, looking at him with tenderness. “Please don’t put me through that again.”
“I can’t make any promises,” he says drowsily with a small smile. He raises her hand and kisses the back of it.
“How are you feeling?” Will asks as he stands beside Y/N.
Jay jokes with a slight smirk on his lips, “Like I was shot.
Y/N scowls at him, not in the mood for jokes right now, and says, "Don’t joke.”
“You love me, and you know it,” he gives her a small smile letting her know he’s teasing her.
“I need to get back to work, but I’ll stop by after my shift,” Will tells his brother, stopping Y/N from that is retaliating. “I’ll make sure to bring you some decent food.”
“Thank you, Will,” she says as he exits the room. Looking back at her husband, she sits on the edge of the hospital bed, clutching his hand on her lap. “I was so scared I would lose you.”
“I’m not going anywhere,” he assures her. “We still have a lot to do together.”
She leans down and gives him a soft kiss while whispering, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” he replies as he kisses her again. “Now, come lie down with me.”
“You’ve just gotten out of surgery. I don’t want to cause you more pain.”
“They’ve got me on the good stuff, honey, and after what I just went through, all I want to do is hold my wife and remind her that us Halstead’s aren’t easy to take down,” he says and pulls her close to him, moving them so she can lay down beside him.
With his arm across her shoulders and her head on his, he presses a kiss to her forehead and whispers, “I promised you forever. I’m keeping that promise.”

previous part
When you hoped of Jay’s comeback during his eight months in the Army, you were not expecting that; you wanted to spend some time with your husband, talking about the baby with him, telling him everything that happened during those months while he was away. You wanted to have time for all of that, but you had not.
Jay was driving you to the hospital, hands tightened around the steering wheel, eyes fixed on the road, arms tense. He was so much nervous, and you could feel it from distance, everyone that knew Jay could have felt it too; you wanted to reassure him in some way, but you were to focused in not losing your mind, taking deep breaths, and trying to stay as much calm as possible.
“How are you?” He asked, turning his head towards you when he stopped at one of the red lights; you watched him closely and you tried to smiled at him sincerely; it wasn’t easy though, you started to feel pain because of the labour and all you wanted to do was seeing your doctor.
“I’m goo, Jay… it’s just…” You couldn’t avoid to moan in pain, feeling another contraction; you were just hoping to arrive at the hospital in time since there was so much traffic. “It hurts when the contraction kicks in, but I have endured worse pain after being shot at work, you know.”
Jay nodded and drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, watching at the lights to be sure that they were still red; he just wanted to push the accelerator, arriving at the hospital as early as possible. “I wish I have the police lights right now; I could use them to bring you to the hospital in just few minutes.”
You smiled a little and, after taking a deep breath, you took his hand in yours, smiling a little bit and looking at his eyes.
“Jay, don’t worry, okay? Me and the baby are still good, our child just wants to meet his father as soon as he can.” You smiled softly, caressing his hand, and letting it go just when the green lights appeared, letting him drive again towards the hospital.
“Is it a boy or a girl?” He at once asked you, smiling softly and relaxing a bit.
“I don’t know. I didn’t want to discover it without you, so I wait you and here you are. I guess we will find out the baby gender after I gave birth and, well… we still need to find a name for him or for her. What do you think?”
He smiled softly, driving towards the hospital, and thinking about everything that was happening to him; he came home eager to see you again, to hug you and kiss you, to kiss the love of his life. He wanted to tell you that he came back and that he would have stayed with you forever, that he wouldn’t leave you anymore, but he wasn’t expecting that. He didn’t know that he would have become father and, driving you to the hospital, he started to get nervous.
He kept asking himself if he was ready for that, if he would have been a good father.
You notice that something was wrong because you recognise at one the frowning expression he usually had when something was not right. Was he still angry with you? Was he nervous about something?
“What’s going on, Jay?” you asked him, breathing heavily because of the pain of the labour. “Why are you so strange? Are you still mad at me?”
He turned his face towards you after parking in front of the hospital, then he shook his head and he took your hand between his own, smiling softly at you and sighing. “I’m not mad at you. I was angry because I wanted to know it, but right now I’m just worried about you both and I’m nervous. I just wonder if I will be a good father for him, because I really want to.”
You smiled, shaking your head, and leaning forward; you placed a soft kiss on his lips for the first time after all those months and you smiled wider. God, you missed him so much. You would have kiss him for hours and hours if it wasn’t for the baby that was kicking its way out.
“I love you, Jay, and I know for sure that you will be the best father in the world, I already knew that the time I discovered I was pregnant.” You smiled, trying to reassure him somehow. You really wanted him to live the labour in the best way possible, especially since he didn’t have the chance to live the pregnancy as you did. “I never doubted it and I will never do.”
He ran one of his hands through his hair, taking deep breaths and trying to calm down. He needed to be strong for you, he needed to be calm for you; after all you were the one in labour, not him.
“Thank you, babe.” He whispered, nodding slightly, and looking at you with a smile on his lips. He was much calmer after your words, and he was now ready to become a dad. “Let’s go now, I’ll call Will to let him know that you’re pregnant and that you’re in labour.”
You reassured him, exiting the car and thanking him for his help when he got you in his arms, trying to help you walking toward the enter of the hospital. “Will knows that I’m pregnant. I asked him not to tell you because you were in Boliva and because was afraid that you would have done something stupid, that you would have become less focused on your job. He tried to convince me to tell you the truth so many times but, in the end, I always won.”
Jay was angry at the beginning, to discover that also his brother knew about the pregnancy, as well as his friends and everyone in the unit. He was the only one that left in the dark for so many months and he was also the first that should have known about it in the first place. He really wanted to scream, to yell, to let go all of his frustrations, but he didn’t want to do it now; he didn't want to scare you or to make you worried since you were in labour: he needed to stay calm and to be there for you both. It was difficult, he really was, but he did what was the best for his wife and for his future child.
“Okay, don’t worry.” He simply said, sighing. You both finally entered the hospital, and, after that, you were brought up into the obstetrics department of the hospital, were you will have been monitored till the right moment.
You started to become more nervous after every second; you just wanted to take the baby in your arms, to cuddle him and to show him to his father, the man of your life. You hoped and dreamed of that moment for months and, when it came, it wasn’t as you expected. The first visit you made with your doctor showed that there was something wrong. You and Jay immediately understood that when you saw their faces and you started panicking at once.
“What’s happening? Something’s wrong right?”
Jay tried to reassure you, stroking your hair, placing small kisses on your forehead, on your cheeks, trying to make you feeling better, trying to calm you down. The doctor and the nurses started to talk quietly and only after some minutes they talked to you.
“The umbilical cord is wrapped around the baby’s neck.” He said, the exact moment Will entered the room after being told of what was happening. Jay’s heart skipped a beat as soon as he heard the doctor, he looked up and he found Will’s gaze. Before the doctor could have said everything else, you started crying while Jay walked toward his brother.
“Will, tell me that everything is going to be fine.” He immediately asked his brother, not paying attention to the doctor that gave you the news; he tried to answer instead of Will, but Jay stopped him before he could. “I’m asking my brother’s opinion, not yours.” He pointed out.
Will shook his head and placed his hand on Jay’s shoulder, trying to reassure him. “Jay.. I’m not y/n’s doctor and you should listen to him. He knows what the best for the baby is and for her too, okay?”
Jay calmed down a little bit and he sighed deeply; he looked up at the doctor and he nodded at him to let him know that he had his full attention.
“I’ll have to move that from the baby’s neck during the childbirth. It may be painful, but we have to do it for the baby’s sake. It won’t be difficult, okay? It’s nothing to be worried about, I made it so may times and everything went as expected. I need you to stay calm, you both.”
Jay went back to your side, and he took your hand in his, trying to be there for you; he saw how nervous and worried you were and he needed to be strong for you, he needed to be calm for you and the baby. “You heard the doctor, love. The baby is gonna be alright, okay? We need to be positive right now. Maybe we can think about some names, what do you think?”
You nodded, trying to take deep breaths, and trying to be as calm as you could. Having Jay by your side made it so much easier and you were grateful for having him there with you. You both started to say names for the baby and, one hour later, when the contractions were very close to each other and painful, they brought you to the birth room. Jay followed back, keeping telling you that everything would have been alright, that the baby would have been healthy and that you just needed to be calm for him. He was always by your side. He didn’t leave you, he kept reassuring you with soft and sweet words, he kept stroking your head and kissing your forehead. He was with you every second, he never left. Even when the doctor used his hand to move away the umbilical cord from the baby’s neck, that was very painful, Jay was there.
“Hold on, love. Hold on for me, y/n, everything is gonna be alright after that, okay?” he kept telling you, caressing your hand while you screamed in pain. When, finally, the doctor gave you the permission to push again, you did it, hoping that everything would have ended as soon as it was possible. He was just too much to handle, and you just wanted to cry and to rest a little bit.
“Just one more push and you will meet your children!” the doctor encouraged you, and you did it. You squeezed Jay’s hand as strong as you could, screaming in pain and pushing again for the last time. you could even describe how it felt when you heard the baby crying. Your heart stopped beating and tears ran down your cheeks but, this time, those were not tears of pain. Jay, on his side, just couldn’t believe it, nor even when he heard the baby crying. He just couldn’t believe that he was a dad.
A nurse immediately placed the baby on your chest, wrapped around a pink towel. She smiled at you and Jay. “Congratulations. Mom and Dad, it’s a baby girl.”
You looked down at your baby and you cried again and again, looking at her baby face and at her hands. She was so small and beautiful at the same time. you just couldn't believe that such a beaty came out of you, you just couldn't believe that you were finally see the baby that you felt growing inside of you. You never felt so good, you never felt so alive.
“Do you want to take her?” You asked Jay, softly.
All the pain you felt just vanished when you took her between your arms, and, when you passed her to your husband, you were even more happy.
The way Jay’s eyes lit up when he took her in his arms was something you would have never forgotten.
“Hi, sweetheart.” He said softly, crying when the baby squeezed one of his fingers in her small hand. “God, she’s beautiful.”
He just couldn’t look away; she was too beautiful. He could have stayed there, cuddling, all the time, even for years. He just looked away from her when the nurse asked them about her name, that needed to be written down on her bracelet.
“Halstead, Kate Halstead.” Both of you said, smiling at each other.

Dispatched Love
Request: Reader had known Jay since she’d first started as a dispatcher for Chicago. It wasn’t long until she’d developed a crush on the older man. She didn’t say anything since she realized he was dating Erin but then she left. She left and Jay got kidnapped; reader heard it over the radio. Hank texted her to say they’d found him and she left her job without saying anything and sped to the hospital. When she saw the blonde detective in the waiting room they got into a fight and reader punched her. She refused to leave the hospital until Jay woke up and laid in bed with him the entire time. When he woke up, in the heat of the moment her lips were on his in a moment.
Pairings: Jay Halstead x Reader
Warnings: angst, fluff

When you moved back to Chicago you really didn't know anyone besides Hank Voight considering he was your uncle and he had raised you for most of your life. You had gone away for college and had just recently come back to Chicago.
You had been job hunting for a while but nothing had interested you or if you did find something they weren't hiring. You really wanted to be a 911 dispatcher but each time you tried to apply something always came up so you just gave up. Hank had come up to you one day saying he had a surprise for you and that he wanted you to come to supper and of course you accepted, you loved your uncle.
It was currently Thursday night when you went over to his house for supper. You drove over there and when you got into the driveway you parked and killed the engine. You got out and walked to the door and knocked and waited then the door finally opened.
"Hey! Come on in!" Hank said and you smiled and walked in.
"Hey, Uncle Hank." You said and hugged him and you returned it.
"I'm glad you could make it." He said as he let go of you.
"I was doing anything really. I was just thinking about opening a bottle of wine and sitting in front of the TV and ordering a pizza." You said and you watched his face fall.
"You know you're always welcome over here." He said and you nodded.
"Of course I do but I don't want to inconvenience you." You told him and he shook his head and you both began walking into the living room.
"Nonsense. Supper will be ready in 10 minutes." He said and you nodded. You both sat on the couch.
"You said that you had a surprise." You told him and he nodded.
"I got you a job at the 911 dispatch center." He said taking a drink of the beer that he had on the table.
"Wait. Seriously?" You asked with a look of shock on your face and you watched him nodded "How?" You asked.
"I know someone who owed me a favor." He said and you practically tackled him into a hug.
"Thank you." You said and he hugged you back.
"No need to thank me, kid. I know how much you wanted it." He said and then you both released each other. Dinner was ready and you both ate in a comfortable peace. You went home happy and grateful for an awesome uncle.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
When you weren't working you were hanging out at the police station and visiting your uncle. You had made fast friends with everyone in Intelligence including none other than Jay Halstead. You had developed feelings for him. He was always so nice to you when you came in and if you needed something while there he would get it for you. But he was with Erin Lindsay so you didn't pursue your feelings. What you didn't know was that he had feelings for you too.
"Hey, Y/N. How's it going?" Jay asked when you walked into the bullpen. You smiled at him.
"I'm good. Just been working." You said as you walked over to him.
"How's it going?" He asked truly interested and you loved that. He had been sitting on the edge of his desk.
"It's going well. I'm doing what I've always wanted to do." You said and he smiled but then Erin walked over and slung her arm over his shoulder.
"Hey, Y/N." She said and then turned and kissed Jay on the cheek.
"Hey, Erin." You said with a polite smile on your face.
You really didn't like Erin she gave off a vibe that just didn't sit well with you, even if she was part of your family. She would always pop into conversations and still him away even if it was just a simple friendly conversation. So you ended up steering clear of her and him and started to visit less often. You hated doing it but that didn't stop your feelings from forming.
"What are you doing here?" She asked turning to you.
"I was actually waiting for Uncle Hank." You said just being in her presence was awkward and not pleasant. "You know I actually need to go. I have work in a few hours. Jay, can you tell him I stopped by and I'll get into contact with him later?" You asked and Jay nodded and then you left saying bye to Trudy on the way out.
You didn't return to the station after that day so you didn't know what had happened. Your love for Jay still grew stronger. You met everyone at Molly's a few nights but you steered clear of Jay and Erin no matter how it hurt.
One day Jay had shown up to you as you were leaving work. This surprised you. "Jay, hi." You said a little confused.
"Hey, Erin left." Jay said and you didn't say anything but you wore a shocked expression.
"I'm sorry, Jay. I know how much it must hurt." You said and then pulled him into a hug which he returned.
"Thank you, Y/N." He said and you both talked for a while before you both left but not before exchanging numbers.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
It had been months since Erin had left and you hoped she didn't come back. You and Jay had been texting but never met up due to working hours. You wanted to but never found the right time. Sometimes it would go on for weeks and sometimes it would stop and you understood. You both had demanding jobs.
You were at work when tragedy struck. You had taken a 911 call from a women. She claimed that she saw someone, a male, matching Jay's description and your heart dropped.
You had texted Hank but he said that he didn't know anything and he would let you know. It had been a few hours so when you took your break you had called him.
"Hey, have you heard anything?" You asked him and heard him sigh.
"I'm not supposed to be telling you this but we're close to finding him, we think. You have to believe that we will." Hank said and you closed your eyes.
"I believe you. I love you Uncle Hank." You said and opened your eyes.
"I love you too kid. Everyone including Erin is here helping." He said and your blood ran cold. You didn't say anything else just hung up the phone and got back to work.
You didn't contact him for weeks or even visit them. You couldn't you hated the thought of seeing her face.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Going into 3 weeks of Jay missing you had gotten a text from Hank.
Uncle Hank: We found him. We're going to med.
You just stared at your phone you couldn't believe it. You got up and grabbed your stuff and headed out of work. Your boss was going to stop you but they knew what was going on so they just let you go.
When you got to med you walked right into the waiting room to Hank. He saw you coming and he opened your arms and walked into them fully closing the hug. "Where did you find him?" You asked him and as you broke apart from the hug.
"We found him in a warehouse locked to a pole and he was beaten pretty badly. He's in surgery now." Hank had told you. All of Intelligence didn't care that you knew but that didn't sit well with Erin and it showed.
"Why are you telling her? She's not supposed to know anything." Erin said and you turned to look at her.
"I thought you left. Why are you back?" You asked her maybe a little bit rudely.
"I heard that he was kidnapped and I came back to help look." She said and you didn't quite believe her so you scoffed.
"If you cared for him so much then you wouldn't have left him. You broke his heat. Now all of a sudden you're back trying to win it?" You asked her and she had an offended look on her face but you didn't care. You didn't know when you had stepped closer to her but at some point you had.
"What? It's not like you're dating him or anything." She said and rolled her eyes.
"You're a bitch you know that." You said with a look of disgust on your face.
"What did you just call me?" She asked
"A bitch. I called you a bitch." You told her and the next thing you knew you were getting punched in the nose and it started bleeding. You stumbled back into Hank but what she didn't know was that when you get mad you go into fighting mode. You took one swing at her and she stumbled and into a wall. Before it could get any further Connor Rhodes came into the waiting room to say that he was out of surgery and only one person was allowed to be with them while he recovered, Everyone agreed that you should be the one, Erin was offended but you really didn't care.
When you walked to his room with Connor. He had stopped and checked you out and cleaned you up before continuing on. "Hey if any swelling occurs call me." He said and you nodded and then turned to him when you reached the door.
"Thank you, Connor." You said and he smiled and nodded. You walked into the room and waited.
Waiting can be a horrible thing at times. Waiting gave you time to think and those thoughts could be good or bad. Jay had been unconscious while you were there and you refused to leave his side. He had visitors come and Erin surprisingly didn't show her face. Hank visited often it was to check up on you and to see if any changes happened with him.
"Hey, Sweetheart. Any changes?" He asked and you shook your head and he sighed.
"Nothing new but that's a good thing. That just means that he isn't getting worse." You said and he nodded.
"You need to go home. You're probably missing a lot of work." He said and you shook your head.
"I had the next few days off since I work late nights. I'm not leaving him." You said and he nodded and left it at that.
"Text me if anything changes." He said and you nodded.
"You got it." You said never leaving your eyes off of him.
It took a total of 2 days for Jay to wake up. You had fallen asleep in a chair next to his bed. He groaned and started moving and that is what woke you up. You jumped up and before you knew it, your lips were on his. What you didn't expect was to from him to kiss you back. You only broke apart when you needed air. He looked at you suprised.
"I'm sorry. I just really wanted to do that. For awhile now. I should go." You rambled but he grabbed your hand and pulled you back and crashed his lips back onto yours, this time it was turn to be surprised but kissed back. You pulled apart again when air was needed.
"You don't know how long I've wanted to do that." He said and you smiled and you sat down.
"Really?" You asked and he nodded his head.
"Really. Y/N I fell in love with you when Hank first introduced the Intelligence group to you. Yea I was with Erin but we were already going out of the relationship." He said and you smiled.
"I've had a crush on you when Hank introduced me to you and then it slowly turned into love." You said and smiled.
"Well would you like to go out with me on a date?" He asked and you nodded your head.
"I would love that." You said and you both smiled at each other. You didn't know if you ever would love again but Jay Halstead just proved that you could. You loved each other and nothing was going to change that.

Hank Voight x Reader Oneshot
Prompt: Fear
(TW: Slight implication of SA, but nothing explicitly mentioned - 2nd person, mostly angst and some fluff)
You ran through the woods, panting.
Your chest was aching in pain, heart pounding heavily against your rib cage. It pounded loud in your ears and in your head, making you want to bury yourself, just to get away from it. It felt like your heart was trying to escape from your chest, pounding, pounding, pounding…
Your chest tightened, your lungs being unable to fill the whole way. You couldn’t afford to stop, to take in a much-needed deep breath. You had to keep running, to keep going, even if it meant your lungs aching in protest at the lack of oxygen to supply your body with.
Meanwhile, your muscles were constricting. They tightened with each passing step, barely loosening enough for you to take the next one. They begged you to stop, threatening to tighten up for good if you didn’t rest. But, how could you rest? How could you when you were running for your life?
The only thing keeping you going was the adrenaline coursing through your veins due to the active footsteps behind you, matching pace. You couldn’t run any faster, and you could feel yourself getting nowhere. You cried out, screaming into the dark woods, hoping someone, anyone would hear you.
The fear of being caught was overwhelming, to say the least. It weaved itself into every fiber of your being, engulfing you like a hot flame would engulf a piece of paper. It burned into you, making the hairs on your neck and arms stand up on edge. You knew this was a loosing fight, but the fear kept you going, trying to run from the man behind you.
You felt something snake around your waist, stopping you in your tracks. You panted heavily, fatigued, knowing it was over. His strong arms squeezed the breath out of you. Defeated, you wound up on the ground, the man on top of you in the dark. You could barely breathe, your head spinning and body aching. He seemed so far away, and yet, here he was, doing the worst things you could imagine to your body.
You heard him say your name, and it sent chills through your spine. You wanted to protest, but you were weak - too weak to move any more. Even if you got him off you, you wouldn’t be able to run. You had nowhere to go. The fight was futile once again, like it was every day and night.
He said your name again, this time stronger, and his voice sounded different. It sounded too deep to be the man who was chasing you. You whimpered in soft protest, feeling arms on your shoulders, moving you. He spoke your name over and over, each time his voice getting louder. It wasn’t his voice. It was someone else’s.
-
When you opened your eyes, you took in a sharp breath and sat up, looking around. The overhead light was off, but the lamp beside you was on, shining a soft and shadowy glow over the room. You panted, hands coming to your body, roaming to find any injuries, only to find there were none. You realized where you were, looking around as your eyes landed on Hank. He was sitting beside you, brow furrowed with worry as he reached out, taking your forearms in his hands gently. “Hey, (Y/N),” he spoke softly. “It’s alright. I’m here.”
You swallowed hard, holding his arms in a soft embrace before pulling away, peeling the covers from your sweating legs. You got up from the bed, still trying to catch your breath as your heart beat echoed in your head. As you moved into the bathroom, you saw yourself in the mirror. You looked ragged, probably due to the lack of sleep in the past few days. You also looked like you’d personally been to Hell and back, making you let out a deep sigh.
Leaning over the counter, you caught your breath, then turned on the cold water, collecting some in your hands and pushing it against your face. As you slowly slipped back into reality, you rubbed the cool water over your arms and dumped some on the back of your head and neck. You ran your fingers through your hair, then turned off the water. You moved back into the bedroom, opening a window to let the cool air hit your wet skin. Breathing in the air deeply, then exhaling into the night, you took a few moments like this, leaning on the windowsill and overlooking the abandoned street below you.
Finally, you shut the window and made your way back over to the bed where Hank was sitting, waiting for you to calm down like you did every night. You sat beside him, putting your head in your hands as your elbows rested on your thighs. He slowly rubbed your back as you leveled your breathing once again. He spoke first. “Anything you need, (Y/N); you know I’m here for you.”
“I know,” you replied back softly, pulling yourself up to look at him once again, then leaning over and pressing a soft kiss to his lips. Hank pulled you down onto the bed, and you laid beside him, pushing your face into his neck. You breathed in his musky scent, pressing soft kisses to the skin. It was an odd thing, wanting comfort in your time of need, but also wanting to give the same comfort.
Hank traced your spine with his fingertips, holding you close and kissing the top of your head as his other hand held your waist firmly. It was the kind of gentle hold that told you he would never let anyone hurt you again. Never.
You weren’t inclined to fall back asleep, but the soothing touches of Hank’s hands made it near impossible to stay awake. The hand you had on his chest felt his heartbeat, which was the final nail in the coffin, and you fell back asleep in the comfort of his arms, content with his comfort despite the constant nightmares which plagued you.
