Bitches! You have a wide audience so I come seeking advice. My family are all of the thin, straight hair variety. I am not. I have long (waist length), thick, curly hair.

Can I get some advice on how to style it and take care of it? I’ve been told my whole life to “just brush it” but I’ve seen on insta and elsewhere that that’s like, the worst thing you can do to curly hair. Please help a confused little bitchling!

HOW BOUT IT, BITCH NATION? ANYONE WITH THICK, CURLY, LONG HAIR WANT TO CHIME IN WITH SPECIFIC ADVICE FOR ANONYPOO?

I (Piggy) love hair, and mine is long, wavy, and thick. If you watch our YouTube you'll see I almost always straighten or curl it. Sounds like we have different textures, but a few things that have absolutely changed my (hair) life are as follows:

I oil my hair once or twice a month using a keratin oil. I used to think that with greasy hair like mine, it would make the situation worse, but an oil treatment actually makes it LESS greasy. It's magic.

I coil my hair into a bun on top of my head when I sleep. This keeps it from getting tangled and sweaty over the night. Plus, if I've curled or straightened it the day before, the style will last longer this way. Lots of people with long hair wear silk caps to bed or braid their hair before sleep for similar reasons.

I wash my hair twice per week instead of every day. Overwashing can be really bad for your hair, but everyone's washing schedule is different. I'd consult a hair stylist about how often you should wash (if you can afford to see one, they'll give you LOTS of expert tips).

I often use a wide-toothed comb to comb it out instead of brushing.

Hair can be a VERY sensitive subject, tied to culture, ethnicity, and oppressive beauty standards. Seek out communities, either online or irl, of people of your ethnicity with the same hair type and texture. They'll have great tips and stories for you!

Akuma Idea 🦋💡: 💇🏽Beautician Themed Akumatized Villain ✂️

Hi Everyone! This is an idea for an akumatized villain that I plan to write about in a future fanfic.

Powers:

Hair Manipulation: This akuma can grow and retract their hair at will. Additionally, they can use their hair to bind and restrain their foes, and morph their hair into a weapon or fist, and they can do well.....

This.....

Indestructible Hair: While their hair is soft to the touch, trying to cut through it would be like trying to cut through steel or diamonds. Forget about Chat Noir's cataclysm too. Kind of hard to call out an attack while having the life choked out of you by superpowered hair.

Sharp Projectile Claws/Nails: Had the character from Static Shock, Allie Langford A.K.A Nails, in mind while I was thinking up some ideas for this akuma. Though the akuma's body is not made of steel, their nails/claws are metallic, and this akuma possesses the ability to lengthen and retract the length of their claws/fingernails at will. In addition, the akuma can also shoot them as projectiles and then regenerate new fingernails/claws. These claws are also indestructible as well and they are effective for slicing, slashing, and/or saving their falls by embedding themselves into walls.

That's basically what I have got so far for superpowers. I think that might be enough for a beautician-themed supervillain. Anymore might make them a bit OP but I don't know. Do y'all think I should add more powers?

I did come up with a couple ideas for weaknesses for this villain (aside from whatever emotional trauma led them to get akumatized in the first place.

First off...their hair! Their fabulous powerful hair can easily bind the heroes and hit them hard with both closed-range and long-ranged attacks. Not to mention that the hair cannot be cut or destroyed. So how could our heroes stop this fabulous villain from using their hair powers? The answer is.....

JUST ADD WATER!!!!!!

Yeah, that weakness probably sounds really cliché and has been done to death, but whatever. Basically, if their hair gets wet, it loses its power.

As for the super nails, while it is true that the nails can embed themselves into surfaces or walls for climbing if the nails were to get stuck in a position or surface that would make it difficult for the akumatized villain to retract their fingernails, they would become immobilized.

So that's basically what I have so far for this original akuma. I haven't really thought of anything regarding the akuma's design yet and I'm still workshopping the akuma's name. I was thinking about calling them the "Hair Razor" for a while, but I don't think that name would fit this akuma, especially since the akumatized villain also has nail powers as well. If anyone has any better ideas, I would love to hear them. I'll be sure to mention you if the name ends up getting used in the fanfic that I write for this villain. (I already know who's going to get akumatized and why. I'll share more details once I figure out the character's design and name).

Anyway, what do you guys think? Pretty cool idea for a supervillain or the worst idea you've ever heard? Please share your thoughts!

Hyungjun wasn’t sure how to classify what he was feeling at the moment. Was it insecurity? Was it some kind of moral quandary? Whatever it was, he knew he couldn’t tell you.

See, the problem is you were the band's hair stylist, and you were a pretty famous one as well. Hyungjun has always been amazed with what you can do with hair. And he was honestly a little jealous. You could do all of these amazing, intricate styles that looked good on everyone you styled for. However, the problem was you never offered to do his hair. Usually it was Seungmin or Jooyeon who was monopolizing your time. He couldn't help but wonder what the experience would be like, to have his hair styled by you, but he was too afraid to ask. He didn't want you to think he was annoying by "demanding" your time.

So he stood back and admired your work in silence. Oh, sure, he complimented all of your creations and how you expertly worked with hair. But he never once asked if you would do his hair. His fear of rejection and fear of upsetting you held him back. Besides, it was better this way. You probably liked it better that he wasn’t badgering you to do his hair like Jooyeon was.

But, like all secrets, it didn’t stay secret for long.

When you worked with the other members of the band, you would notice the longing in his eyes. You would see how his eyes lingered on your work whenever you finished another masterpiece. You could tell he was hiding something from you, and you were starting to piece together what exactly he was hiding from you. Now the question remains of how you should confront him about it.

Now, the thing is you know Hyungjun. You can read him like an open book. And you know better than to outright ask him if what you think you’re thinking is true. You don’t want to spook him by flat out asking him. He would say no that way. But if you were clever in asking, he would agree. You just knew it. So instead, you gathered more evidence to confirm your conclusion and set up a little ruse to get him to confess.

It was a simple little dinner, nothing too fancy. You made all of Hyungjun's favorite foods and even pulled out his chair for him. After most of the meal was over, you decided to spring the trap. You began to complain about your work. You talked about how you felt like you weren’t being challenged with the band anymore, since it seemed all the boys liked their hair just the way it was and didn't see a need for change. You admitted that you were looking for your next muse, someone who could really take your skill to the next level. You noticed the longing in his eyes, knowing you almost had him, but he remained silent on asking you to be your inspiration.

“Whoever you pick, they have to be someone special.” He mumbled thoughtfully to himself as he finished eating.

You nodded. “I agree. But who? Who would you pick?”

He shrugged. “I don’t know. Besides, I feel like that should be your decision. They'll be your muse after all. Not mine.”

Well, it wasn’t the exact answer you were looking for, but you could work with it. “What about you?”

Hyungjun's utensils dropped to the table. “M-me?”

You nodded, taking his hands in yours. “Why not? You have beautiful hair and I’ve seen the way you stare at all my work. I know you want me to style your hair, you just haven’t gotten up the courage to ask. So now I’m asking you to let me do your hair.”

He blushed, avoiding your deep, loving stare. “Are you sure you want me to do it? I thought you’d be annoyed if I asked, so I never said anything. Are you sure you wouldn’t rather have anyone else be your muse?”

You shook your head. “No. I don’t want anyone else but you. You’re special to me and I really want to do something special for you. So may I please do your hair?”

There was a brief pause before he glanced into your eyes. They were so full of hope and longing, he started to feel guilty about wanting to say no. Maybe that’s why you asked him. You saw that same look of longing and hope in his own eyes. His heart skipped a beat.

“Yes. Please do.”
