VIVI HAIR RULES ୨୧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you want long, shiny, soft and healthy hair here are my rules that I stand by
૮꒰ྀི ୨ ៸៸៸ ୧ ྀི꒱ა ༊࿐ ͎. 。˚ ° ⊹ ˚.
1. Don’t try and “train your hair” - if it’s oily, wash it. Healthy scalp comes before anything, even if that’s washing everyday. (Which isn’t damaging despite what people say btw) If you can go longer then that then do it.
2. Do a pre-shampoo treatment, I use coconut oil. If you feel it messes up your hair, most likely you aren’t washing it all off, so instead try a coconut based oil instead of whole coconut oil. Keep this on your ends for at least 30 minutes before showering.
3. Do not go to bed with wet hair.
4. Do a head massage everyday for at least 5 minutes, don’t use your nails but instead use the pads of your fingers.
5. SPLIT YOUR ENDS AT HOME. This is so important, check for split ends regularly. If you see any, cut them right away.
6.Don’t be tricked by marketing! I actually prefer drugstore haircare to high end.
7. Use bonding treatments, l’oréal has a new bond repair line that is good!
8. Microfiber towels, soft hair ties, and silk pillowcases.
9. Protective Hairstyles before bed.
10. Always oil your ends. I like jojoba oil and you only need a tiny bit. It will add a nice shine and protect your hair.
11. Embrace your natural hair color and texture, avoid bleaching, dying, and relaxing if you can
I could ramble on for hours about hair, but these are definitely some of my basic rules ! I hope this helps you on your long hair journey 💕🧁

How to get long healthy shiny hair in 2024 🎀
Tumblr media
HAIR OILING: It is recommended that you oil your hair at least once or twice in a week. The benefits from oiling your hair are endless, from strengthening and lengthening your hair to preventing dandruff, lice, hair breakage and so much more. But remember that you should not go overboard as too much of everything is not good! Finding the suitable one depending on your hair type is essential for getting the best results!
SHOWER ROUTINE: It is very important to find the right shampoo for your hair type that gently cleanses and removes all that heavy buildup of products you apply in your hair, that doesn’t damage and dry it out, which is what a Clarifying shampoo does. But remember to check what hair type it is for as some shampoos aren’t suitable for all hair types. After shampoo is when you should use a hair mask, as it is advised to be used before conditioning since using a hair mask injects moisture into the hair and conditioner locks it in! A lot of people think that you just use conditioner from that same brand of shampoo and hair mask, but the real truth is that it is best to use the best conditioner you find works well enough for your hair.
AFTER SHOWER ROUTINE: Use a microfiber towel after showering! Not only does it dry your hair faster, but it’s much softer and gentle while doing no damage to your hair. If you plan on blow drying your hair, remember to let your hair air dry about 80-90% before blow drying. And you must use heat protectant for your hair! And wether you’re blow drying your hair or not, find the best hair serum and apply (can be used before and after styling) it firstly to your ends and then apply the leftover serum on your palm on your roots to prevent your roots from looking greasy. Always remember a little goes a long way with hair serums.
Thank you for reading and I hope you find this beneficial! Let me know if you have any questions <3

tips for healthy and long hair
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hello darling ! today i will share some of my tips that help me grow my hair long and keep them healthy 💕
♡﹒✿﹒﹕✧﹒💗
tips 1: always rinse your hair with cold water, it will help with hair loss and make your hair shiny
tips 2: use hair oil before washing your hair, it with help a lot with hair growth, i recommend the ROSEMARY MINT SCALP & HAIR STRENGTHENING OIL that you can find on beauty bay
tips 3 : never put shampoo other than on your scalp, it will make the rest of the hair very dry .
tips 4: avoid heat, if you still wanna use heat remember to always put a heat protector, personally i use the Ghd Thermo protector spray and it works perfectly !:)
tips 5: take dietary complement, it's not necessary but it is a great way to make your hair healthier.
tips 6 : massage your scalp, i recently started to do this not believing it could work but it does! you can find a scalp massager kinda everywhere.

Hey femme,
I have harsh face features that makes me so unapproachable. Do you have any advice for me. I’m 22 never been in a relationship before, no one is even interested in me. Help me.
Hi love! While I understand your longing to be desired by your preferred sex, evaluating your worth or desirability in general on romantic/sexual attention is a fruitless pursuit. You can try to wear makeup/hairstyles that help soften your features.
Makeup: glowy highlighter, rosy blush on your cheeks, soft nude/glossy lip shades, softly-arched brows, mascara with soft/satin-textured eyeshadow & inner corner highlight
Hair: Longer hairstyles with soft waves or curls, layers/curtain bangs, side parts, half-up/half-down updos or braids
Otherwise, try not to clench your jaw or have your eyes appear hypervigilant when conversing with others.
Smile & laugh when you're enjoying yourself/the company around you. Otherwise, warding off creeps is truly a blessing in disguise. Being unapproachable as a woman is not as bad of a thing as we are often told in our patriarchal society. Finding a middle ground that gives you the agency to let down your guard as safe and desired should always be the goal.
Hope this helps xx

Hellloo, i love your blog 💕, i don't know if you have long hair, but i gotta ask... Do you know any tips or tricks to grow long waist length hair, i want to do really long cottage core pigtails, but the hair at the back of my head doesn't grow properly 😭 😭
I used to have hair that went over my ass… but I cut it some weeks ago and now it’s just to my stomach-ish. So still kinda long. Medium-long.
Don’t wash your hair too often and when you do, double wash . Always use shampoo twice . And use a volume one. Don’t touch your hair. Let it be. Some massage their scalps with oils at night.. 🤷‍♀️ but yeah I don’t really know.. google it! You’ll probably find some good tips!
Tumblr media
Or maybe someone here does? I’d like to know how to get thicker hair 👀 so.. anyone?

This is for my ladies who wear weaves, wigs, ponytail etc.
I was recently talking to a male friend and he commented on the smell of my hair. What he thought was the smell of cookies was my hair. It was Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa 71. He couldn’t believe the scent was coming from my hair especially because my hair was straight. He expected to smell “burnt hair”. Long story short find a scented hair spray/ hair perfume.

HAIR TIPS
🎀 when it comes to retaining length, wearing stretched styles (twist outs, braid outs/braid waves, flexi/perm rod sets) are imperative. I mostly wear braid outs almost exclusively now. With curly hair, the longer your hair gets, the more tangles and knots that will occur when wearing hair in a shrunken state too much. I usually lightly spritz my hair, add conditioner, use a little serum or grease, and then braid my hair. Sometimes I’ll add flexi rods at the ends so the ends will be curly.
🎀 easy/low maintenance styles help with cutting time in regards to doing your hair, it also helps with retention because you’re manipulating your hair less. I recommend twist/braid outs or rod sets because they can last a few days to a week, you’re still able to have access to your hair and moisturize when needed, and they don’t put harsh tension on the hair. A wash and set once a week (like our grandmas and aunties) will help that hair grow
🎀 using an old t-shirt (instead of a towel) to dry hair cuts down on frizz, tangles, and dryness. It soaks up excess moisture without drying the hair out too much.
🎀 wet, curly hair is weak and fragile. I personally don’t style or detangle on wet hair, but damp or 70% dry. Damp styling allows the hair to absorb product better versus when your hair is soaking wet. With soaking wet hair, product doesn’t absorb as much because the hair is full of water. However, if you primary “wet” style, you can use less product since the water dilutes it. Also, if a product is water based, you can use it on dry hair (or add a little water to your hands and run it over your hair before applying product).
🎀 I don’t personally believe in brushing wet, curly hair. Some people do wet style with brushes (wet brush, denman brush, tangle teezer , etc), but I found it to be damaging to my hair. I feel like it rips the hair out, and thins it over time leaving you with splits and mild breakage. If your hair is fragile or fine, I recommend raking product through the hair instead of a brush, or using the “praying hands” method.
🎀 if you have curly hair, putting your hair in a low ponytail after washing can help stretch the hair if you don’t have the time to twist or braid. Drying the hair in a low ponytail or 1-2 braids keeps single strand knots at bay
🎀 if you wear wash and go’s, water and conditioner are your best friend. Conditioners can be good moisturizers and stylers (especially if you haven’t found your holy grail
Product yet) however, You have to wash more frequently with a wash and go, because product typically evaporates after 3-4 days. Every day = more shed hair, so try not to go more than 5 days with the style.
🎀 a lot of curlies use gel. If you use gel make sure that it doesn’t dry out your hair, and make sure to keep it away from your hairline. Using gel can make your hair crunchy, which is a gel cast that helps curls set. If the hair is too hard you can use an oil or a serum to break that cast. Also, most gels can be reactivated with water, so you don’t have to apply more gel on top of gel. Just reactivate and style your hair like you want
🎀 Silicone free conditioners can be good for cowashing, but they can lack slip and protection from the elements. If your hair is fine and doesn’t like heavy products, silicone free may be best for you. Conditioners WITH silicone can build up if used too much, but they provide slip and a protective coat over the hair to protect it from the elements . And if you’re a curly girl, silicone is important because it cuts down on frizz and weighs the hair down. If you do use conditioners with silicone, make sure you shampoo once a week or every two weeks

DRUGSTORE HAIRCARE IS JUST AS GOOD AS PROFESSIONAL YOU JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO BUY
- Do not listen to hairdressers, they know how to make your hair look good. Instead listen to dermatologists + trichologists who actually study the scalp and hair!

ARTISTS! Do you struggle to explain to your hairdresser what you want? Draw it. I don't care how weird it feels, it works. I did it today and finally got what I couldn't put into words for like a year. I just made a little sketch of the front and side, and said "this is the general shape that Im going for." Guess what, I got exactly what I wanted. Best decision ever

So I have this spell - (my first ever spell):
Stretch it.
Twist it.
Make it grow.
Like a river, let it flow.
Three times fast, this hair shall grow.
This is my will,
So mote it be!

Now - hear me out…
If I take that spell and add my rosemary tincture and stinging nettle salve what do we have? A whole enhanced version of the spell!
And with science to back up the magick! :D
Both Stinging nettle and rosemary herbs/plants have properties for hair growth - with science research to back them up! :D
You can find my original post here! 👇🏻

HEALTHY HAIR TIPS AND TRICKS ✧˚ · .
this post is going to be aiming toward type 3-4 hair (curly-coily)! but if you have a different hair type some of these things could be beneficial towards your hair as well
Tumblr media
WASHING YOU HAIR
healthy hair starts with how you manage it. so making sure you have a good wash day routine is super important for your hair health. only wash your hair once a week if you do a sport or are active a lot. if not, only wash your hair once every two weeks. when you rinse your hair use cold water to ensure moisture stays locked in. the more you wash your hair the more natural oils your hair gets stripped from and you don't want that.
PICKING PRODUCTS
picking hair care products that are right for you hair plays a big role in your hair health. try to find hair products that don't contain sulfates, parabens, silicones, or mineral oil. instead look for honey, shea butter, tea tree oil, and argan oil.
A ROUTINE FOR YOU
making sure you develop your own hair routine that's right for your hair and benefits you is the best way to go. don't follow hair care trends that you see other people doing. stick to yours, trying out different products is totally okay, if you're careful.
STYLING
the way you are styling your hair could also be of benefit to your hair growth/health. try doing protective styles to ensure you aren't pulling at your hair all the time, pulling at your hair so much could cause thinning. but at the same time still making sure you aren't leaving those protective styles in for too long because that could also cause breakage.
HEAT
using heat on your hair all the time is definitely not of value to you. this could cause extreme breakage and really bad heat damage which could mess up your natural curl pattern. I recommend only straightening your hair once every 5-6 months to give your hair a trim. watch this video to successfully straighten your hair the healthy way.
HAIRCUTS
try to give your hair a trim every 3-6 months (depending on your ends) to clip your dead hair. this ensures your hair will grow long and healthy.
SLEEP
sleeping is also a huge benefit for hair health and growth. don't sleep with your hair soaking wet while that can cause breakage, if you are deep conditioning you hair make sure to sleep with a bonnet over your hair to prevent you from laying on it. make sure to use silk pillowcases + bonnets!
HEALTH OVER LENGTH
lots of people I see never let go of their long hair because of the length even though it's damaged. my opinion is to just let it go. you don't have to cut all of it off at one time but cutting a few inches off every few months will help you hair grown even longer and healthier
VITAMINS
taking vitamins will also help your hair tremendously! vitamin B, C, iron, zinc, and keratin are a few good ones you could take

Oy Inky, you have any tips on how I can make my hair fluffier? I try my best but it's never fluffy enough ;-;
ok so this is coming from somebody who dyed their hair a million god damn times, but here’s usually how i do mine
Shampoo it, and then put conditioner in. Leave the conditioner in for anywheres from two minutes to five (depending on how thick your hair is)
when you get out, towel dry it just enough it isn’t dripping everywhere. ans when you go to blow dry it, DONT DO IT THW WAY EVERYBODY SAYS TO. Sit down, either on the side of the bath or toilet or smth, and put your head over the blowdryer. Just let the blowdryer make your hair go up until it’s dry, and occasionally switch spots and run your hands through it
(i say sit down because it’s super easy to fall)
