The Remus Lupin Question
I can't help myself. I can't imagine Remus Lupin as Badboy casanova and I can't imagine him just like grandad.
i think he is both and nothing of it at the same time.
He is the mastermind behind the marauders pranks.
He is some sort of self destrsuctive, like forgetting to eat or not getting enough sleep.
With his lycantrophy goes some sort of depression and a lot of physical and emotional pain.
Not Remus was the mother hen of the marauders, but James who especially fussed about Remus after full moons.
He had grown over the years, his friendship to the marauders, the girls, some ravenclaws and hufflepuffs and even some of the slytherins, pushed his self esteem.
He knows, because of his loving parents how healthy relationships work and I believe that he has to give Sirius steadiness and safety when they first started dating, because Sirius never really had a rolemodel for a healthy lasting relationship.
Sometimes he is the one that talks some sense in the marauders and sometimes he has the ideas to let their pranks go through the roof.
He likes to read, because books were his portals to the world when he was little, but also likes to spent time with the people he cares about. A win win is when he can spent time with Reegulus and Lily talking about books oder reading toghether.
So on the one hand he is really vulnerable and relies on his friends and boyfriends and on the other hand he is very confindent and stable and some sort of glue for his friends and spot of safety for his boyfriend.

Prompt 16 - Flirt
@wolfstarmicrofic February 16, word count 445
Previous part First part
Remus was glad it was Saturday. That way, he didn’t have to rush. His bed had a ridiculous amount of chocolate—even for Remus— on it.
“Sirius, wow!—I mean, thank you.” Remus pulled him in for a hug. He relished in the way Sirius’s creamy skin tinged pink.
He lifted a finger and stroked Sirius’s pink cheek with a featherlight touch. Sirius shivered and blushed deeper. “Like strawberries and cream,” Remus whispered, barely aware he’d said it aloud. He was completely enraptured by the sight before him. It was only when Sirius wriggled uncomfortably in his arms that he snapped out of his trance. “Sorry,” He said as he quickly released Sirius from his arms.
“No, it’s fine.” Sirius blurted out in a rush. “It was just the way you were looking at me was making things happen, and well, yeah.” He finished with a nervous laugh.
“Are you trying to flirt with me, Sirius?” Remus had to chew his lips to stop himself from laughing at how wide Sirius’s eyes went.
“C’mon, let’s make a start on this pile of chocolate.” He gently took Sirius’s hand and led him towards his bed. He hadn’t wanted to embarrass Sirius, but his own awkwardness made him blurt stuff out without thinking.
They spent the next few hours sampling a bit from everything Sirius had bought. Remus felt bad for not getting Sirius anything after all the trouble he’d gone to to treat Remus. He wanted to give Sirius something, but he wasn’t sure what.
He noticed his favourite grandad jumper lying on his trunk. An idea hit him. He moved away from Sirius, leaning over the end of the bed and gathered the wool garment in his hands.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Sirius,” He suddenly felt very shy and hoped Sirius didn’t think it was a lame gift.
Sirius looked up at him, mouth agape. He snatched it from Remus’s hands and hurriedly wrenched it over his head. He wrapped his arms around himself and inhaled the soft material.
“It smells like you,” He mumbled into the sleeves.
“Sorry, I can get you a clean one. It’s just that’s my favourite one.” He felt a bit embarrassed. He’d only worn it once. He hadn’t thought it would be that bad.
Sirius wrapped himself tighter into the jumper.
“No, it’s mine now.—I love it.— Thank you, Remus.” He smiled shyly up at him. “You’re not getting this back, you know.” He added, holding it even tighter.
Remus looked at Sirius and thought how adorable he looked in the oversized jumper. He was drowning in it, but all Remus could think was he’s mine.
“Yeah, I know.”

Dragon
"I want you to tell the story about the dragon, Padfoot," little James said imperiously.
"I think you already know the story, James…you could probably tell it to me and Moony at this point," Sirius said with a wink at Remus.
"Yes, I can," James said, settling himself in Remus's lap. "Are you listening?"
Sirius slid in next to Remus, pulling both close.
"Once upon a time, there was a boy who had to fight a dragon," James said clearly. "He was very brave. He had to figure out how to get the golden egg from the dragon."
"So how did he do it?" Remus asked, smoothing James' s hair affectionately.
"His friend was very smart and she helped him learn a spell to get his broom so he could get it," James recited, his brow furrowed in concentration.
"Did he get his broom?" Sirius asked.
"Yes. He got it and then he flew to get the egg from the dragon."
"The end?" Remus supplied.
"The end," James said, sounding sleepy as he leaned against Remus.
"Nap time, mate," Sirius said, lifting James out of Remus's lap.

summer homework
for @greyeyedmonster-18 and @femme--de--lettres and everyone else suffering through finals rn, ilu <3
---
Harry hears the sound of the Floo, and then Sirius’s booming voice. “Where are my favorite Potters?”
“Grandpa!”
Harry rolls his eyes as his three children leap up and hurry into the living room. He follows, watching as the three of them dart around Sirius and throw themselves at Remus.
“Oof!” Remus says. James surpassed him in height over a year ago, and AJ caught up to him over the winter hols. Lily isn’t far off, and so Remus is completely engulfed by the three of them. “Hello, loves.”
Sirius puts his hands on his hips in mock outrage. “And where’s my hug?”
James, AJ, and Lily disentangle themselves from Remus and, ignoring Sirius entirely, go back to what they were doing. Sirius’s mouth drops open. “I don’t even get a hello?”
James sighs and looks at Harry. “Dad?”
Harry rolls his eyes again and says, “The kids want me to tell you that they’re not speaking to you.”
“What? Why?” Now Sirius really is outraged. “What did I do?”
James, AJ, and Lily look at Harry. Harry shakes his head.
“I’m not doing this all night. If you have something to say to Grandad, do it yourself.”
“Grandpa, tell Grandad he shouldn’t have assigned us so much bloody homework over the summer,” AJ says to Remus.
Remus’s eyebrows shoot up, but he turns to Sirius and says, “The kids aren’t talking to you because you assigned--”
“Yes, thank you, I heard,” Sirius says. “You and James have OWLs and NEWTs next year. You both need to be prepared.”
“What about me?” Lily pipes up. “I don’t have OWLs and NEWTs.”
“You still need to keep your skills sharp.”
“That’s not fair!”
“Grandpa never gave us summer homework,” AJ says.
“They’ve got a point, Sirius,” Remus says. “Their previous Defense teacher never gave them summer homework.”
“Well, maybe their previous Defense teacher shouldn’t have had a run-in with a bunch of Inferi that resulted in him having to take a year-long leave of absence!”
“That’s true,” Remus concedes. “I probably shouldn’t have done that.”
“You’re still coming back next year, Grandpa, right?” AJ asks hopefully. “We don’t have to have Grandad again?”
“Hey!”
“Actually, kids, that’s what we wanted to tell you at dinner tonight.” Remus slips an arm around Sirius’s waist and leans into him. “I am coming back next year, but so is Grandad. We’re going to be co-teaching Defense.”
“Really?” Harry says. “That’s great!”
“Okay, but we don’t have to do our homework, right?” James says.
“Sorry, James Sirius, but you still have to do the homework Grandad assigned you. All of you do.”
James pulls a face. “You’re the worst grandparents ever.”

Title: Snowed in Link: Read on AO3 Square filled: Snowed in Pairing: Sirius/Remus Rating: M Summary: Sirius and Remus find themselves snowed in. Unfortunately that doesn’t stop their grandchildren from coming through the Floo. Word count: 1500
Written for the HPFC Holiday Bingo.
Teaser below the cut.
“We’re snowed in.”
“What do you mean we’re snowed in?” Remus asked sleepily, rolling over in bed and automatically reaching out for Sirius but finding the other side of the bed empty.
He cracked an eye open, stifling a yawn as he looked around the room only to find Sirius peering out of the window. He’s stark naked, the familiar patterns from his many tattoos standing out sharply against his pale skin and Remus got momentarily lost in them, the way they curled around his shoulder blades, down his back and faded just over the curve of his arse.
They were getting on a bit now, Sirius hair containing more streaks of silver than he would want to admit, but he was still the most beautiful being Remus had ever seen. Where he himself simply seemed to get weedier, thinner, sharper, Sirius was still broad over the shoulders, his thighs thick. He was perhaps a little softer around the edges now, but Remus didn’t mind it one bit.
“I mean that we’re snowed in,” his husband said before turning around, a grin pulling at his mouth as he saw Remus watching him. “Oh no, I guess that means we just have to stay in bed all day.”
Remus snorted, not even slightly pretending he’s not ogling him as he pulled the duvet back.
“So what are you doing all the way over there?”
“Just checking on the snow,” Sirius grinned as made his way back towards the bed, hips swaying purposefully, and Remus couldn’t possibly not look him over greedily as he slid back into bed. “I guess we just have to take a snow day. Call in sick. No work.”
Sirius wriggled close, pressing his lips against Remus’ shoulder, tongue playing along a scar there and Remus groaned, letting his eyes flutter close.
“You don’t have a job, Pads, there’s no-one to call in sick to.”
“Hm,” Sirius mumbled, his mouth trailing lower, finding one of Remus’ nipples and let his teeth close around the little nub, making Remus arch and hiss. “Didn’t think about that. Well, then you take a snow day.”
“I’m– ah– I don’t– it’s the winter holidays, the library is closed.”
“Well, isn’t that lucky,” Sirius purred, glancing up at Remus with a wicked smirk before sliding lower, disappearing underneath the duvet.
Remus dropped his head back against the pillow, his legs falling open to allow Sirius better access as his mouth trailed lower still. He sighed out a soft breath as Sirius’ lips closed around him, allowing himself to relax and focus only on how perfect Sirius felt. Even after all these years, or maybe because of them, Sirius never failed to get his attention. Even if it took longer these days, Remus not quite as quick to arouse as when they were teenagers, he had absolutely nothing to set against Sirius Black’s talented hands and mouth.
“Padfoot? Moony?”
Remus swore, quite viciously, his eyes snapping open as Sirius jolted up straight, the duvet falling off him.
“Oh fuck,” Sirius hissed, throwing himself onto the bed next to Remus, tugging the duvet up over them both to hide their predicament.
Continue on AO3.

My moony
Remus lupin x fem!reader angst/ fluff
Warnings: werewolf!remus, full moon, injury, mentions of blood
Ik it's a bit short
Tumblr media
It was the night of the full moon. And remus was very clingy and cuddly around these times. He'd be extra protective aswell. Sirius, James, and Peter come into the dormitory to bring remus to the shrieking shack for the transformation. They basically pry him off of you and say goodbye. You know it will be a tough night.
A few hours later your awake in his bed worried sick. You're trying everything to just go to bed but nothings working. Counting sheep. Nope. Convincing yourself he's fine. Nope. You toss and turn trying and trying but you know you won't be able to sleep.
You decide to go for a late night walk since that normally helps. You look at 5he clock and it 4 am it's nearly sunrise so it'll be safe. You get up and put on one of his Grandad jumpers and your slippers and head out. You reach the exit of the castle and the wind blows on your bare legs leaving goosebumps. You step outside hugging onto yourself to try and keep warm. You know you won't be asleep until tonight so the wind is really keeping you awake.
You (dumbly) decide to walk over near the forest and you hear noises in the distance. You hear a voice. Its sirius. He's telling you to go but he's injured. You run up to him and he whisper-shouts "go". You ignore him and walk past him. He struggles but gets up and follows you. Your pretty far into the forest with sirius while he's telling you all about what happened when you both hear a low growl. He turnes into padfoot. You hear the low growl again but it's right behind you. You see paddoot freeze. You move a tiny bit closer and look in his eyes. Fear. 'Shit' you thought to yourself.
You slowly turn around to see a werewolf staring right back at you. You know you have to hold eyecontact buy your scared and turn to padfoot who's still frozen. You then get tackled into the floor by the werewolf. You scream as the lycanthrope attacks you clawing you everywhere. The dog then tackles the werewolf off of you and the pain of claws being ripped from you makes you scream even louder. Your at the point of crying. Sob after sob leaving you. You hear the dog whimpering and you turn to see the lycanthrope running towards you again dog limping behind a tree.
Next thing you know it's attacking you again biting and clawing you even harder than before your hyperventilating now and all of a sudden you feel the same feelinf of claws being ripped from you once again but this time you see a pretty injured deer attacking the wolf. Then you turn the other way to see Peter. He sits you up and takes the jumper off you leaving you in a short sleeved pajama top and a matching pair of shorts.
He putts the jumper over his shoulder not to leave any evidence and picks you up to bring you to madame promfery. You arrive about 5 mins later and Peter puts you down on a bed and tells her to close the curtain for when remus arrives. He then puts the jumper down and explained what happened and left to get remus.
Your put to sleep and madame promfery cleans all your wounds and closes the curtain on the way out to await our mooney. A few minutes later the boys walk in and set mooney down on the bed opposite. Madame promfery deals with them and tells them to all get some rest.
A few hours later you wake up to see the curtains open and a very worried looking remus staring at you. "Y/n what the fuck happened to you?" Were the first words out of his mouth. You look at sirius and he nods. "Rem I'm sorry I walked into the forest totally ignoring sirius telling me to go and well you attacked me........twice" "TWICE" he shouted. "Omg I hurt you I promised I'd never hurt you I broke my promise and you'd probably never forgive me or talk to me again.." "rem I forgive you" you said wobbly standing and limping over. Getting into his bed and him laying on your chest "no" he said "you don't have to" "rem I know it wasn't you that hurt me it was that stupid wolf, I'll always forgive if you have a good reason" "now let's cuddle and get back to sleep." "Ok buba" he whispers. "Your my mooney" you whisper "your mooney" he replies. "My mooney" you whisper again before falling asleep with him in your arms drifting off not that long after. "There so cute" said james "so cute" sirius replied.

Note
just saw your 'remus lupin with eyeliner, remus lupin with sirius' leather jacket' post. and. just gave me the idea of remus stealing sirius' clothes at the end of years so he can wear them during the summer and smell sirius whenever he misses him (disgusting <3). sirius has no idea until he moves in with the potter's and decides to floo to the lupin's without calling first, only to jump out the fireplace and see remus sitting on the sofa, wearing his t-shirt.
anyway. do you think remus would be more a cardigan or jumper guy? cause he definitely wears both but i can't decide which one he wears more.
grandad cardigan
I mean he totally loves his jumpers
but I think during summer he overheats and would go for the trusty old cardigan
on the whole remus steals sirius' clothes thing. sirius is definitely attracted to remus in his clothes. he pretends to be annoyed but he's internally screaming because why does remus look hot. I'm imagining this is before they are dating. and then once they start dating, sirius starts slipping his shirts into remus' wardrobe

@wolfstarmicrofic - castles
Remus’ childhood church sits on a hill. The little graveyard has his grandpa’s body buried by the rock of his gravestone; “Here lies Owaine Lupin. In the midst of life we are in death.” The little door is low, and red with brown splinters peeking through, and Remus wonders if old Owain learned to duck through it with each inch he grew just as he did.
It would be quite lovely to use the time here for prayer, he thinks. He’s never been to a church more quaint and in another life, where he stayed out here by the sea and never looked further, he might have been a happy parrisher here. He might have even followed in his grandad’s footsteps and put his fingers to the organ. He might have looked to the castles nestled into the distance from the stained glass windows and found peace in them; strong and somehow everlasting. He knows though, really, that it’s only the charm of the church that compels him to think so.
Remus would have never made for a happy Christian, and he could never pray to any deity, or wish for a life where he does, when his sins are so sweet.
Faith is strong here, he thinks, as he ducks under the little stone doorframe and settles into a pew at the back. It’s so relieving. Some gut feeling in him wonders if it’s in his blood to feel as so. His grandfather is in the graveyard, and his father before him. He has more blood in the town, kin who speak to each other in Welsh and before them he knows there were so many more who were raised in these parts, and laboured and reared their own here and split their blood in the soil here.
Faith is strong here and love is easy, settled in his gut as he watches Sirius at his grandfathers organ. He’s laughing, so radically out of place in leather and grease, pounding out some track never intended for such a grand sound, but working somehow. He’s lit up by lovely summer sun, and James sits beside him, bopping his head and humming along tunelessly.
Remus vows to never apologise for his sins, and he hopes in defiance that the echoes of Sirius’ grins and shouts and effortless talents make a home for themselves in the old brick walls.

Day
New Year’s Day morning dawned bright and cold. Remus was still asleep, and the house was quiet. Sirius slipped into his fleece robe and made his way down to the kitchen, casting extra warming charms as he went.
He waved his wand at the stove and it roared to life as he made room on the counter as the ingredients for French Toast flew out of the cupboard. He mixed the custard and set the pan to fry the coated pieces of bread.
Remus made his way downstairs slowly. It was only two days after the full moon and he was still tired and achy. But Sirius at the stove, preparing brunch for their family, was a sight that always made him smile no matter what phase of the moon.
Sirius caught him standing there and smiled softly at him. He dipped the wooden spoon in the egg mixture and offered it to Remus.
Remus tasted it. “Perfect,” he said.
“Good,” Sirius said, pulling him close and kissing him deeply. Remus sank into him immediately, tasting the vanilla and cinnamon on his lips.
“Knock, knock,” came a voice from the living room and they broke apart with a shared looked that said later.
“Daddy, c’mon,” little James exclaimed, tugging Harry after him. When he saw Sirius and Remus, he broke away from Harry and ran toward them. Sirius caught him, scooping him up before he got too close to the stove.
“Alright?” Harry said, looking between them, knowingly.
“Happy New Year, kid,” Sirius said, handing James to Remus and pulling Harry in for a tight hug.

Pairings: Remus Lupin x Sirius Black, James Potter x Lily Evans, Regulus Black x his redemption arc Summary: Sirius didn’t trust him anymore, of this he was sure, but he didn’t have any other option - he just hoped his brother would hear him out. @whumptober-archive no.5: I’ve got red on my ledger. Notes: betrayal/misunderstanding, broken nose, wolfstar don't turn on each other during the war, regulus took swimming lessons as a kid :p masterlist
Tumblr media
“Kreacher” Regulus wheezed, breathless from fighting his way back to the surface, dead hands still clutching at his legs, “Take me to Sirius-”
His words were cut off as he was pulled back under the water once more, and he was sure that he was about to die. The Inferi were unforgiving. What had he thought, betraying Voldemort like this? Did he really think he could destroy him?
Just as the consequences of his actions fully hit him, a bony hand wrapped around his arm, the familiar feeling of apparating spreading across his body.
Tumblr media
“Pads? Where did you put the wine?”
Sirius huffed a laugh, placing his hands around Remus’ middle as the werewolf searched through the cabinet, burying his face in the nook between his shoulder and neck. His words came out muffled, “Marlene finished the bottle last week.”
“That bloody lesbian, stealing our booze all the time.”
Sirius laughed, a rare noise in current times, and allowed himself to let go of all his worries as he drank in the smell of Remus.
“Are you sniffing me again, you dog” He asked, though Sirius could hear the smile in his words.
“Smell nice”
Remus turned around and drew Sirius into a proper hug, huffing a laugh as he saw his outfit, “My jumper? Really? It’s massive on you.”
“Why do you think I wear it, Moons. It’s certainly not my style”
“Oh, that’s right, you wouldn't be seen dead in your own - what did you call them again? grandad clothes.”
“I wasn't wrong” Sirius shrugged, flashing a charming smile, “You wear it in a sexy way, though. Hard feat to pull off.”
Remus just shook his head, smirking as he pulled Sirius in to a kiss, “You’re aggravating.”
Sirius rose on to his tip toes, grinning into the kiss, “I try my best.”
Remus pulled back, closing the open cupboard before crowding further against Sirius, “We need to get more drinks in before Saturday - we’re gonna need it for when we hide from trick-or-treaters.”
“Saturday’s tomorrow, you old man.” Sirius breathed, eyes locked on to Remus’ lips, “I’ll go get some early if you just bloody kiss me.”
The werewolf chuckled, happily following Sirius’ demand and connecting their lips once more. A sudden loud snap made them stumble back, Remus’ hand flying to the wand hidden up his sleeve. Sirius swore, realising he had left his in the bedroom.
A drenched body was lying on the floor by the sofa, a house elf clutching a chain stood beside him.
“Who - Kreacher” Sirius adverted his eyes to the body on the floor, rage filling him up as they struggled to their feet, “You.”
Sirius ignored Remus as he strode forwards, hand curling into a fist and cleanly striking his brother across the face.
“Sirius!” Remus called out, rushing to his side and pulling him back from punching Regulus a second time, eyes warily watching the house elf who looked seconds away from smiting them both to hell and back.
Regulus held his hand up, deterring the house elf, before struggling to his feet once again, “I’ll let you have that one” he said, voice unsteady as he wiped blood from his nose, “Shit, that’s broken - Kreacher do you have my wand?”
“You’re not having your wand in here” Sirius all-but barked, “You think we forgot that you’re a death eater?”
Kreacher snarled,  “You will not speak to Master Black in such way, you blood traitor -”
Regulus shushed the house elf, lowering his eyes, “I just wish to fix my nose.”
Remus flicked his wand, “Episkey - now your wand”
Regulus handed it over without a word, still avoiding eye contact.
“What kind of play is this?” Sirius asked, pacing back and forth, “You found us - have you already given the death eaters our address? Or have they sent you to kill your dear blood traitor brother and his werewolf boyfriend?”
Regulus let out a shaky breath, legs starting to weaken, “You really think I’d come here to kill you and then hand over my wand? Have a little sense, brother”
“You don't deserve to call me that anymore” Sirius said, poison in his words. He stopped his pacing as Remus placed a grounding hand on the middle of his back, instead taking as much courage from the touch as he could.
“Pads, he wouldn’t have come here if he had anywhere else to go” Remus spoke lowly, his mouth close to his ear. Absently, Sirius knew his words made sense, but the hurt and anger he had been carrying since beginning Hogwarts failed to fade.
“So, what - mummy finally kick you out too?”
“No -”
“Of course not, she wouldn't dare disown her golden child.”
“I -” Regulus went to speak, face suddenly going incredibly pale, “I -”
The teenager suddenly crashed to the floor, falling in a crumpled mess.
“Merlin -” Sirius cursed, watching as Remus rushed to the boy’s side.
“He’s freezing. Sirius I think he really needs help”
“Bollocks.”
The two men moved Regulus to the sofa, ignoring the shrill warnings of the house elf. Remus starting performing as many relevant healing charms as he could think of, while Sirius walked over to the kitchenette. He watched his boyfriend work as he made a pot of tea, needing to do something to keep his hands busy.
Regulus came back to with a loud gasp, scrambling upwards. It took him a few seconds to understand his surroundings, relief flooding him as his posture relaxed slightly.
“You’re safe here” Remus said, hesitating as he looked at Sirius, “We won’t hurt you”
“As long as you don't try anything stupid.” Sirius added, bitterness adding a bite to his words.
At the sound of his brother’s voice, Regulus seemed to fully relax, having placed where everyone was in the room. “I won’t.” he promised, looking at the elf, “And neither will Kreacher.”
The house elf grumbled under his breath, but retired to the corner of the small living room, eyes glued to his master.
Remus knelt down by the sofa, and Sirius could tell he was trying to make himself less threatening. It was something he had caught him doing ever since first year, wherein he would make himself look smaller as to not scare people. At first it was about the scars, but when he had his growth spurt during summer in third year, it became worse. He had broken down one night to Sirius in the dorm after a bad full moon where he had scratched a deep scar across his left eye, as he confessed that he felt like people looked at him as if he was a monster. Sirius had pledge to himself that very night to remind Remus everyday that he was anything but a monster.
Sirius withheld a frown at Remus’ posture, but chose not to say anything, instead bringing three mugs over and placing them on the coffee table. He perched on the edge of the table, close enough to Remus to link their fingers together behind his back.
“Regulus,” he started, voice quieter than he usually speaks, “Why did you come here?”
“And no bloody lying, I’ll be able to tell.”
Remus sent his boyfriend a sharp look, and Sirius simply shrugged, crossing his arms in front of himself defensively.
“No, it’s okay,” his brother spoke, sounding as exhausted as he looked, “You’re not wrong - I had to keep my title as golden child - got a fucking tattoo to prove it.” He broke off with a dark laugh, pain detectable behind his fake smile, “Mum’ll kick me out when she finds out what I’ve done - there’s no escaping that one.”
Sirius’ arms relaxed slightly, anger damped by his curiosity, “What?”
Regulus gestured for Kreacher to come forwards, holding his palm up to accept the chain that the house elf had been clutching to ever since he arrived in the small apartment. Even the weight of the small object seemed to seep the rest of the colour out of his cheeks.
“I stole this from the Dark Lord. It’s a horcrux.” The simple statement took the two men off-guard, both watching as Regulus unfurled the chain to reveal a locket. “And I mean to destroy it.”
Remus shook himself slightly, coming back to his senses, “I’m sorry - a horcrux? That bastard made horcruxes?” Sirius made a confused noise, prompting Remus to turn around, “Horcruxes are an object in which a Dark Wizard or Witch hides a fragment of their soul in order to become immortal. Sirius he can’t die.”
“Fuck it all.”
“I mean the implications this has on the war-”
“We have to tell the order -”
“No.”
They both turned back to Regulus, the boy now looking paler than possible, “You can’t tell the order. Not yet.”
“People are dying to kill a man who literally cant die - we have to Reg.” The nickname escaped Sirius’ mouth without conscious thought, and he was uncomfortable to realise just how easy it was to slip back into old habits.
“You can’t tell them yet, not until we know how to destroy this,” he paused for a moment, chancing a glance at the two of them before resolutely setting his eyes to the floor, “Not until you get rid of Pettigrew.”
“Peter?” Remus stammered, eyes wide, “No he can’t be-”
“That rat.” Sirius growled, “I knew he was acting more skittish than usual - I just thought it was because of Mary leaving him for that muggle fellow.”
“I mean - it’s Peter. He wouldn’t give any of us up...”
As he trailed off, Sirius leaped to his feet, rushing to the telephone that hung on the wall and desperately dialling the Potter’s home number. As Sirius shouted warnings down the phone, Remus turned back to Regulus, eyes holding a new depth of desperation.
“You’re sure it’s him?”
Regulus nodded solemnly, the expression rather suiting his whitened face, “Positive.”
“Bollocks.”
They both turned to look at Sirius as he slammed the phone back down on to the receiver, “They’re packing right now. They’ll be over here in a half hour.” He turned his furious gaze onto his brother, “I swear, if you’re wrong about this -”
“I’m not.”
As Sirius stormed back into the bedroom, Regulus seemed to deflate. All the adrenaline had finally left his body, and so he found himself struggling to find the energy to do something as simple as blink.
Remus seemed to take pity on him, walking to the kitchenette and coming back a moment later with a bottle in his hand. “Here,” the taller man offered, “A restoration draught. It should help.”
Regulus hesitantly accepted the bottle, recognising it as a peace offering, and downed it with a wet cough. “Thank you.”
Remus simply nodded, before picking his wand back up from the table and tracing the corners of the apartment, muttering multiple protective charms under his breath. Regulus took this time to let himself fully relax, his body aching from the events of the evening.
“Is Master Black alright?” Kreacher asked, the distaste of their surroundings melting away as he checked on the young boy, stubbornly stood beside him in imitation of a guard dog defending their owner.
“I’ll be okay,” he replied, a part of him truly believing it for the first time in years, “It’s going to be okay.”

The Midnight Daughter - Remus Lupin Requested: yes | no  Word Count: 0.7k
Tumblr media
Y/N glanced down at the pregnancy stick, the positive result almost taunting her. A mixture of emotions engulfed her; on one hand, she was impossibly happy, she had always wanted to be a mother, on the other hand though, she was nowhere near prepared or ready for this massive change. The inner turmoil, almost entirely too much. Her mind flickered to what she supposed would be the most strenuous part of the situation, informing her father, Remus Lupin. It wasn’t as if she didn’t think he would be over-the-moon for her, but he had always been overprotective; had always thought that no-one would be good enough for his daughter.
The baby’s father and her partner, Harry, despite being acquainted with Remus, had never been introduced to her father as her romantic partner. The pair had agreed that due to the uncertainty of her safety of being associated with Harry, never mind being romantically linked; that they would keep the people who knew about it to a minimum. The reason that they hadn’t broken the news to Remus, was that as a father, they knew the least he expected from a romantic partner for his daughter was the ability to keep her safe. Despite how much Harry may have wanted to provide that certainty; he just couldn’t.
With the baby on the way, though, Y/N knew that she could no longer keep anything a secret. She knew that she wanted to keep the baby, but also knew that with her life changing so drastically because she was going to keep it; that she had to bite the bullet and tell her overprotective father. Hastily, she hid the pregnancy test; burying it deep in the waste paper basket in the bathroom, under layers of tissues. Hoping that her father wouldn’t root through the basket for whatever reason.
Before leaving the bathroom, she splashed some cold water on her face. Partly to cover up the tears that she had been crying and, partly to cover up the bundle of nerves that she had turned into. She had no idea how to break this to her father, or, more importantly; how he would react. Thankfully, she wasn’t left with her thoughts for long.
As she made her way out into the landing, Remus was making his way to the bathroom. He gave her a small smile as he made his way past her. “Dad, I need to talk to you once you’re done. It’s kinda urgent.” She called after him. Silently, she made her way to her bedroom. She found that making her movements as quiet as she could make them, took her mind off of the fact that in a mere matter of minutes her life would change irreparably. Whether that was for the good or bad, she really didn’t know.
A loud knock on her bedroom door, notified her that her dad was just on the other side of the door. “Come in,” she said, her nerves all but consuming her at that moment. “What is it that you needed to talk to me about?” Remus asked, as he leaned against the archway of the doorframe. She couldn’t stop herself from shaking. After taking a deep breath, she decided to break the news. “I’m pregnant, Harry’s the father. Now, I know that it’s probably going to come as a shock to you as you were none the wiser to me being in a relationship. But, we were both scared to tell you, afraid of disappointing you.” She blurted out, taking a sharp intake of breath.
Silence filled the air. Remus desperately tried to process the information that he had been given in order to give his daughter some kind of response. “As long as you’re happy, you could never disappoint me.” He whispered softly, as he made his way over to her. “But am I really going to be a grandad?” He asked, almost in disbelief. Y/N nodded her head, yes. He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her in for a side-hug. “We better tell Harry, I want to be able to start baby shopping as soon as possible. I’ve seen the cutest little babygrows…”
Y/N tuned out of what he was saying absentmindedly, she was just happy that she hadn’t disappointed her father and that he was fully accepting. All was good.
