Hancock Chem Headcanons
I've been seeing a lot about Hancock lately, and other Fallout characters, that partake in The Chems TM and their reasons besides for the memes, and I would like to share my headcanons with everyone on Hancock. Since I've been writing this fanfic series with him for a few years now, I've had a ton of time to really think about the way I view his chem usage and why he does what he does.
He has high intelligence but doesn't like to get lost in his own thoughts. Not the worries, not the theories, not the what-ifs, not the nagging fears, or the way he talks down about himself. He's kinda like a case of "he had so much potential; if only he would apply himself." He doesn't want to apply himself, whether it has to do with past traumas or deep-seated fears.
Chems had other benefits besides just getting high. In my FF, he began taking chems because they were beneficial. It was his first job, delivering packages house to house in Diamond City, and Buffout helped him carry heavier packages across town. Chem use easily got out of hand. Later, spiked goods entered the mix. It's pretty believable since the player character uses chems in certain situations to get an edge. There were, of course, other people in his life that were chem users.
Because he enjoys it. And we all know that too much of something is a bad thing. But anytime I ask someone "why do you smoke? Why do you vape? Why do you smoke pot or eat edibles? Why do you drink?" I usually get a simple answer: "Because I like it and I want to," and sometimes mixed with, "to knock the stress off." Hancock is a mayor, so he probably stays a little stressed, too.
Chems make him more fun. After you've been doing something like this for a while, you tend to "not be yourself" when you haven't had your substances. People like Hancock in Goodneighbor because he, quote, "knows how to sling and shoot up like the next guy, and he doesn't put himself above them." So another reason he could be doing chems is simply because he wants to remain likable, especially since he has a low opinion of himself already.
He would do less chems if he stayed busy/distracted. I see Hancock as the kind of person that needs constant distraction, and he functions best when he's with someone that keeps his mood up. Not that he wouldn't take chems when he realizes he hasn't had any in a while; it's more like he just doesn't think about them. When you can hold him in a conversation, give him something to do to keep his hands or mind busy, or keep him laughing and engaged, he just reaches for the Jet and Mentats a lot less.
Note: Ghoulism makes you immune to a lot of things. Aging is incredibly slow, disease has no effect on you, radiation heals you, and you don't benefit from eating (e.g. Billie in the fridge). My headcanon is that it would take a lot to get Hancock high. His tolerance escalated after the ghoulification. And if he goes clean for longer than a day, any addictions he had would fall off. I imagine that this would irritate him, though. "Not as easy as it used to be," he'd say while chasing a new, crazier high.
Just some fun theories I had.

Curious, you got some bandee headcanons you’d like to share? (doesn’t matter if it’s in the roleswap au or not)
My sweet Bandana Boy! I love him SO MUCH! I'm happy to share some of my personal headcanons for him!
Tumblr media
First, I am a strong believer that Bandee is the same Dee from Kirby 64. I know there's evidence that both supports and denies this out there, but I choose to believe it!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So that's why I think his spear could be tipped with the crystal shard he's gifted at the end of the game!!
Yes, the spear point is the same shape as a crystal shard. But there's more to this! Hear me out!! :D
So Kirby, Meta Knight, and Dedede all have demonstrated some cool powers over the years that help them beat back some pretty fearsome foes! For lack of a better word right now I'm calling them "Cosmic Powers." Kirby is... Kirby. His powers are pretty much limitless. Dedede and Meta have had different elemental powers over the years too, like electricity, fire, wind, etc... (Meta could very well be a cosmic being like Kirby, and I have my own theory about Dedede's elemental abilities here).
The members of Team Kirby do great things together, but they're also very powerful on their own! So what's Bandee's thing? He is a humble Waddle Dee by birth! He hasn't demonstrated any extra "Cosmic Powers" that I can recall. Other than the cute hover jump- but most of Kirby's Helpers and Allies can do that too! And even back in Kirby 64, Waddle Dee helps Kirby out in very practical ways. Going down a river together in a log flume, operating a mine cart or sled... stuff like that.
Bandee's Spear moveset is also very practical and purely skill-based. It consists of intricate and powerful spear maneuvers. It's got to be a result of his diligent training that's been hinted at over the years!
But one of his moves always stuck out to me since it's not purely skill-based- his Spear Throw.
Tumblr media
How is he able to toss out an unlimited supply of spears and regenerate another in his hand immediately afterward?
Tumblr media
The Crystal Gun has an unlimited supply of ammo, so it makes sense to me that his spear could very well have that same property if it's part Crystal Shard!
A fun personal theory is that he forged the Crystal Shard he was gifted into a weapon after he made the decision to train and grow stronger to protect his loved ones. Probably in between the ending of Revenge of the King and the beginning of Return to Dreamland. And he's only gotten stronger over the years!
Using a spear made with a crystal that is shown to be one of the only weapons effective against Dark Matter is just so super cool to me!! It would definitely complement his great loyalty, courage, and personal strength. A wonderful tool to put him right up there alongside Dreamland's Defenders like he deserves to be!! <3

i've been thinking about your latest spawn siblings meta since you posted it. i don't know why, but i assumed all the other spawns used the same seduction method as astarion and were probably forced to sleep with cazador's victims, especially since that i saw how petras attempts to reel in tav if they're alone. using similar lines as astarion as if they were trained. astarion says that some of his marks were brothel-goers, so we know cazador forced him to pose as a prostitute, and i assumed that might've been true for all his siblings. (then again, we know astarion was cazador's favorite, and this was a bad thing for him. 'particular attention' was paid to his punishments. so he was also likely more vulnerable to the sexual abuse cazador could force them to endure)
but that was a very good point about the most productive spawns, leon and violet, were both likely able to use magic. it also kinda reinforces what astarion says about himself: sex is "my only talent, i'm fully aware" if you're cruel to him in his act 2 confession, or his breakup dialogue in act 3 if you didn't get the confession "these are the talents i have." even cazador's other spawns had other talents to lure in marks and could preserve some dignity, whereas astarion just had to resort to being used for his body. that must've been so horribly isolating and humiliating for him. it makes me wonder what tactics the others, aurelia dalyria yousen and petras, might've used.
Hi! Sorry for the belated response.
My thoughts about spawns and their differing luring methods are based purely on theory (we have no evidence that other spawns didn't use seduction to lure victims) and Cazador's glaring miserable inferiority complex. Also, when put in an entirely new situation and facing a choice (bring a victim or get flayed), each of the spawns had only what they previously used to be good at as their saving straw - so, to be more precise, Cazador didn't tell them to lure victims in any specific way. He just knew they would have to apply their skills in a new twisted way.
As for Astarion and why his method was mostly seduction...the more I think of it, the darker are my guesses. We all know who had been telling him that sex was his only talent. And if Cazador Turned Astarion when he was a young adult, still figuring himself out...I assume he took particular joy in taking Astarion's future and potential choices away from him, which also included reducing his sense of self-worth and making him think he is only good for his looks and body. He was not to discover any other talents he had. He was not to think that he was good for anything else or worth anything on his own.
So, the deep headcanon of mine is that Astarion was Cazador’s least favored spawn and the most favorite spawn to torture in any way possible because he reminded him of himself. Not in terms of personality, probably, but…maybe his mere existence made him bitter.
A young elf, probably (certainly) a beloved son who got to leave to explore the world, make his mistakes and choices, a beautiful snobby chatterbox who is yet to learn that actions and choices have consequences...All of it made him seethe because Astarion had something Cazador didn’t -- and while he would never admit it (he is a vampire lord! He is powerful! Feared! He has everything he wants!) he became obsessed with the idea of teaching “the boy” some manners, of magnifying his downsides and stripping him of his dignity. And the more he tormented Astarion, the more he saw himself (the part of which he hated and wanted to forget) in him, and the more he saw it, the crueler he got. I think that also explains why he is so fixated on Astarion in his diary; while he would certainly throw a paranoid tantrum if any of his spawns escaped, but in his obsessive notes, he refuses to believe that Astarion got away, that there is an ounce of fight left in him and that he hasn't broken him to the point where he would crawl back, begging for forgiveness. He seems to shun the mere thought that his punching bag, his favorite object for projection, has been stronger than him all along.
It's similar to how an abuser would torment, gaslight, and degrade the shit out of the younger person just because the latter has an entire life ahead of them, which makes the abuser feel inadequate about themselves. So they mask that sense of inadequacy with acts of cruelty, by exerting their power in any way possible -- while endlessly reminding their victim of their worthlessness as a person (without their "guidance", of course).

Karl Heisenberg headcanons and thoughts.
So, Heisenberg is one of the most impactful characters in any form of media that has ever affected my psyche. I have a few ideas about him and theories that just make too much sense to me so i decided to share them.
First off, I think he respects the dead he made into soldaten. It's shown that he keep records for his experiments but i think it's more than scientific. He knows details about them and notes them even though they add nothing to his analysis. I think he wants them remembered. He knows what it's like to be a cog in a machine with barely any autonomy. There might even be a chance he feels sympathy for those that he works on for them also having their freedom stolen from them.
Next look at his outfit, he works in a furnace of a factory but has a lot of layers on. I think that's because it grounds him and makes him feel safe. Same with his necklaces, precious belongings kept close to provide comfort. Next his glasses, dark shades. You can't tell that he never looks you in the eye, he's nervous and doesn't want you to see that.
I also think he's the kind of man to practice his lines and act in front of a mirror or something. That persona of confident showman just seems like an act in of itself to me to me.
What I think we are looking at is a very anxious and hopeful person who wants nothing more than to find his freedom but at the same time belong. To feel safe and accepted. He wants a connection, someone out there to see him, know him and save him.
Some people see Karl as a smarmy, confident asshole but I see a poor, tortured man who only wanted his freedom and to be loved.
I also think he was kidnapped as a child. Yes, i know it's never stated but think about it. Rose is a child and if Heis is the youngest lord (again a headcanon of mine) then as the most successful experiment he might have been the inspiration for Miranda looking for another child or infant thinking the megamycete would bond with a youth better. He also exhibits childish tendencies such as anger outbursts and a severe lack of social skill meaning he never had a secure childhood. I also think he hates Miranda making him call her mother even more because she took him from his real mother at a young age.
I also headcanon that if this man ever got free he wouldn't try to control or destroy anyone. He would only want peace, knowledge and to find a place he belonged.
I also believe that that stutter is canon and i will die on that hill.
Capcom, thank you for creating him but I hate that you took him from us without giving him a chance.

👹 Baki Headcanons 👹
Fear me for I have dedicated my life to writing silly, goofy Baki headcanons and scenarios >:D
Dealing with depression my way 💪🏽 (but if we are to talk seriously, please, go get yourself a therapist, they know how to help)
P.S. Btw I'm not that good at prepositions ;-;
So, uh, enjoy these headcanons o' mine. Write in the comments who you'd like to see in part 2. Hope you like it :3❤️
School Subjects (part 1)
Baki
- He doesn't care about most of the classes;
- Most of the time he daydreams or sleeps;
- But when it gets to astronomy he seems interested;
- "Are there any aliens? Are they stronger than us? 🤔";
- Now Kozue, Retsu and others know a lot about planets, black holes and theories about Moon being an artificial satellite and other galaxies where nonhuman civilizations live;
- Watched dozens of sci-fi movies about different creatures and other worlds;
- Almost decided to go to a space station, but Kozue somehow stopped him;
- "You know, that'd be awesome to meet an alien";
- Please, don't tell him about Area 51.
Kaoru
- Have you seen him near school?
- Overall he has good grades even though he rarely goes to school;
- Nobody would ever give him C or B! (for their safety and in general Kaoru is pretty smart so there's no need to give him low marks);
- But he has an interest in history, especially in Sengoku period;
- "These weapons look weird... I wonder if it was hard to break them";
- Sometimes outsmarts his teachers by pointing out at their mistakes;
- May bring his favourite books with him, so the time will pass faster;
- "School is disappointing. Interesting, how Baki is doing? 🧐";
- Can stand up in the middle of a class and leave because.. he can?
Jack
- Didn't pay attention in classes;
- Instead always studied at home;
- And had excellent grades 😳;
- "When is the break? I'm already hungry.";
- Didn't like every subject equally, except for math, biology and health & physical education (those 3 were "fine");
- Some biology topics like anatomy interested him;
- PE was a mandatory for him (sometimes he liked it, sometimes he didn't);
- Always had pills in his backpack;
- Was bullied, but tried not to pay attention to it;
- "Uhuh, so that's on what I was missing.. Well, now let's go to the gym to try it out, I guess?";
- Was annoyed by those who tried to protect him from bullies;
- Graduated, but wanted to drop out.
Retsu
- Probably didn't attend a public school;
- Temple was his everything;
- Surprisingly was and still is good at calligraphy;
- "This stroke looks off..... RRRAAGH!!";
- Suffered every time when he needed to concentrate on something;
- Tried to be more patient. Failed multiple times;
- Enjoyed cooking, and now knows how to make almost every traditional Chinese dish 😋;
- When Baki asked him to look at his physics homework, Retsu kind of malfunctioned;
- "Uhuh, so this is it. Right. But what about this part... 等等,我不應該懂這種程度的日文.";
- But he's always willing to learn something new!
Doyle
- Studied really hard, but after some time got disappointed with teachers and the whole educational system;
- Was actually liked by teachers and had a couple of acquaintances among classmates;
- Favourite subjects were science, biology, and design & technology;
- "What do you think.. Can I get CIPA? ... Nah, wishful thinking";
- Planned to install blades in his joints from school;
- In general he's a smart cookie;
- Was never bullied, but ignored;
- "I need to learn chemistry.. What type of metal is incompatible with human body? 🧐";
- Dropped out.

My theory is that Mimzy was once Alastor’s best friend, he maybe even thought he might have been in love with her at one point, in that manner aroace people who don’t know they’re aroace often do, that she was then sacrificed by this cult, and that Alastor had them infiltrated and taken down every member of that cult over decades, losing more and more of himself each time as those he killed grew less and less directly connected to the crime, “sorry you just got in my way, maybe I enjoy it just a little bit does that make me insane”, but that in the act of doing so, that contradiction of righteous intent and pure depravity, along with whatever ritual for power the cult had initially started upon, let’s say in honour of Roo (the root of all evil in the Hellaverse, a character yet to be introduced), and that on Alastor’s eventual death, he then found himself in Hell all-powerful, and set about bringing down those Overlords beneath his power continuing this moral code, until he hit a wall, finding himself having ended all Overlords less powerful than him / otherwise came to his senses on meeting Mimzy again and finding her to have gone to hell, recognising that “weren’t you an old pal of mine” and really nothing more and deciding mere power, entertainment is all he now desires. But that still, out of obligation, that he must kill Lucifer, the Devil, for a sense of completion, while still being allowed to exist himself afterward. Which leads to whatever deal he ended up trapped in seven years before the events of the series, and him getting Charlie to make a deal with him to “harm no one” at a certain point in the future: to ensure that when the time comes that he will be able to kill Lucifer, and the one person able to stop him won’t be able to. To really make Alastor a true Exterminator, more measured, the embodiment of how the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.
My first message on this blog! Everyone feel free to do so. I be happy to heart thoughts or possibly give opinions or disscussion.
That's interesting. It keep overlooking the concept of cults when I theorize. I just slips my mind its a thing. I wrote something about Vox and someone mention him being a cult leader, and I have to admit....it makes sense. He fits cult leader material perfectly. The charisma, the hypnotism. "Trust us..." Which, would an added layer to their rivalry of Vox recognized Alastor as the 'notorious cult member killer' from decades before his time to fit your theory.
I personally headcanon the reason he was so powerful when he fell was voodoo. I haven't done a 30 minute research for me to flush it out tho. But based off my very poor memory of Disney the princess and the frog...Alastor was into Voodoo while alive.
Been mention through the show, "His voodoo magic." And maybe, his voodoo aided him to be a successful serial killer. Basing Dr. Facilier to Alastor, (remember my memories are sketchy) and my non existent knowledge of voodoo,he sold his soul already to someone in Hell while he was alive to perform voodoo, and his body count counted to the demon he sold his soul to power. Aware but not fully digested the weight of that action and what it truly entailed to sell his soul. That Hell is forever. So when he died, his master pretty much granted him immense power for a job well done as well treat him like a lieutenant type of underling. Every time Alastor increase his power, it increase his master. He nearly has free range do whatever he wants but he still has commands to follow.
I think that's why Charlies dream seem so laughable to him.When Charlie asked Alastor if he thought it was possible for the souls can be redeemed. He said (paraphrase) "There's no undoing what is done while they were alive, and now they pay the price in their after life." Which tbh, Alastor right...that's what Hell is about. But I think it may have a stronger meaning to Alastor. His deal he made while alive.
I agree with the Lilith and Eve theories for as his master, which does check out. But I'm not throwing Zestial out the window. I find it odd that Alastor nearly wiped out all the older generation overlords but he remained. Also, how everyone overly fears him when the show introduced him and literally did nothing with him. (I have a feeling he minimal use is keeping him on low profile until he becomes a big player later.) Alastor did seem a tad apprehensive when Zestial appeared calm enough knowing harm not coming his way. The only reason I haven't made a post of it because Zestial question the 7 year absence/-which I can't explain. I think he would know what his powerful underling been up too.
The reason he got into killing I assume is his father. Alastor is a momma boy and I can see him taking out his father trying to defend his mother. Then it just kept morphing into a defender of woman and selecting men who rape woman and children or he see a very abusive man to his wife and it just keep recalling the memories of his own parents. His soul already damn, might as well put it to use, can't damn it more! He found himself good at cold murder, enjoying it. Or rather...entertained. The stalking, planning out every detail, the chase. He gives me slow death vibes, relishing their 'song and dance' as they scream and writhe in pain. It gave him a high,holding that much power over someone, the power of their life in his hands (god complex we get to witness) Then the satisfaction of getting away with it. It becoming more of a game then a (in his mind) service of justice.
Maybe he got into cannibalism when he fed come gaters to rid of the evidence and was like 'hmmm, maybe them gators have something there..." and kept a calf to try and was hooked since then. Then the killing became more of feed an appetite and boredom, that he had to seek a suitable victim to fulfill his needs. When it use to be, he witness/has knowledge of a deplorable act, he killed to end it from continuing. His 'kind' service became a greedy hunger of flesh, power, and entertainment.
But the last part of you message was extremely interesting. I never consider Alastor deal with Charlie is to use his favor to have her not get involved and stop him from fulfilling a task he needed/wanted. It really clever and keeps the harm no one part.
Love the part that Hell was paved with good intentions, because of the apple of knowledge/free will what created Hell. Such a lovely and fun way to put it. Then applied it to Alastor with what started as good intention murders.

This is so nofna solar system-core
love a classic “anti matter hates matter” story

This episode is like the clamoring for us to get a castrovalva 2 escher-like world again next season
"that's not gonna work either" i love these idiots
"why does it have to be one last trip?" rtd ringing moffat / gatiss / gardner / etc and being like like -
ok but follow this reasoning: if the doctor is the same person bc they keep their memories (as the show makes a point of.... constantly) ... and if the memories make the person ... then indeed an entity that copies the memories is the same person, is it not? Where do we draw the line between who’s “real” and who isn’t, in this scenario?
A CREATION I DEVASTATED / literally watched WoM two seconds before this w/ ten all "everything i do just makes it happen" sdjsdkf this is what i mean when i say the doctor has never Processed anythingggg since that Bottom Pit moment
"it wasn't your fault" "i know! (but it stil sucks!!!)" me at therapy like
"WHY DOES HE NEED YOU?" me, Pavlovian tone: because he is lonely...
“when something is gone, it keeps existing” → highlight this!!!! this is gonna be the new thesis statement about Grief!!! this is gonna be The Point for the next 4 years lol
It's very fun to watch this after marath6ning all of ten's era bc it's like... that boy never processed any of that shit. did 11 process shit? did 12? 12 maybe a little but really i think they just got even more trauma (bill ): ) dkdksks and don't get me started on 13. basically what im saying is the doctor Never did get a break on between waters of mars up until now... [and i guess to go further never did get a break after since like....... freaking ghost light skskskskkjkj seven is still There. we don't think about that enough.]
Donna being a clone fucker is not a headcanon ever thought i had but im glad its been confirmed now "donma doesn't think she"s stupid" im sure rtd has launched this exact same rant on so some unwilling family members while browsing ao3 "stop copying and make up your own minds" social commentary / commentary on reboots again / core "individualism > society" dr. who 101 messaging
The not things are kinda.... cute? skdksk if they weren't murderous they look like ppl to hang out w/ and play videogames......
"what do you want?" "you tell us" fundamental doctor-companion dialogue....
"love letters don't travel very far" put a pin on that...
ok.... ARGHGHGHH LET ME THINK THINK THINK skskks me failing at CBT be like
What if the doctor is from our universe. what then the doctor being like we have to mill ourselves immediately feels very 13
this is like "what if turn left and midnight but they go through it together this time <3" fic "where the walls are thin and anything is possible" eyes emoji
"that copy was 99% donna" so maybe re:earlier... what the show is saying between copy vs real is that it's all about the x factor, the 1%....
CONCLUSIONS! lived up to the hype! i think it's a bit 13-era vibe in that it's clearly influenced by all the prestige space-base-isolation scifi we see in the ~cinema now every year. the aesthetic is hitting that vibe (and going to the root, there's also a very clear Alien influence). kinda wish we had more one offs just like this one :( bc i feel the other 2 specials have too much Work to do, so there's not enough time to do.Fun like lore and character stuff. Execution wise is very successful. the switcheroos work. the callbacks work. there's a lot of character stuff happening ("I just realized I'm still working through that!") but it doesn't interfere w/ the adventure itself. My one grip is there's a couple shots that do feel too green-screen-y, but overall the ep is visually amazing. def only a story you could do now. also I love that the NMDs were like "rtd is gonna retcon the timeless child!!! everyone hated it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and he was like "cool. now watch this" lollll king moments. rare moments where it feels like we live in the best timeline.

"Rumble" theories, headcanons, and musings
My personal opinion on the events in the movie and the events before and after it. Correct me if something is wrong!
Perhaps I've gone too far, but I think - it's closer to the reality of the world we were shown in the movie.
Tumblr media
Theory on the disappearance of Rayburn and Jimbo. At the beginning of the movie we are told that they disappeared (died) somewhere at the sea. After we are shown Stoker's new monster - Tentacular, which all his appearance indicates he's marine-type monster. Based on these two facts we conclude that Tentacular is involved in the disappearance of Rayburn and Jimbo. Brilliant deduction, I know.
Headcanons!
Tentacular got a scar on his face from Rayburn's claws when he tried to drown him.
T and Rayburn are about the same age and knew each other long before the events of the movie. Their paths parted after Ray's decision to become a wrestler and the birth of Steve (Rayburn Jr.). Hence, the envy of success and the desire to be better than his former friend.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back to the theory. Tentacular comes in Stoker sometime after the tragedy, under the guise of "I hear you're looking for a new champion". Since the town had big problems and came in grief after the "disappearance" of their favorites, they gladly accept T, and Siggy becomes his trainer.
Headcanons!
Siggy probably knows that Tentacular is involved in the deaths of Jimbo and Rayburn, but doesn't show it until he's sure it's true. OR he took part in it too.
The loss of his leg is unrelated to the incident in the sea, as in the movie in Vinnie's flashbacks, Sig was already wearing a prosthetic leg.
After the death of his father, Steve may have lived with his mother away from the city for some time. There is no mention of her in the movie, but I assume she just lives somewhere far far away from civilization. The second option - Steve leave town and just wandered around the region/state for a few years until he got into underground monster fights because he needed money to keep living.
Tumblr media
Another interesting moment. Siggy tells Winnie to stop the fight, because if Tentacular senses blood, the situation will get out of hand. What did he mean by that? Sharks have a phenomenon called "food fever." It's when there's a lot of blood in a place and the amount of blood makes sharks go crazy and eat everything. T is a shark, and a pretty big one; perhaps his senses are more heightened than normal sharks too. If Steve got a nosebleed during a fight, for example, T would probably go berserk and destroy not only the arena, but also the stadium and even the entire city. Of course, not without casualties, and here the irreversible process of total 4uckup. We wouldn't see it in the movie, so we will stop only at the destruction of the stadium (take into: all the people have time to evacuate).
Tumblr media
Other.
Not all monsters in the movie universe are wrestlers. Example: Mac is a monster who works as a commentator (albeit on the subject of wrestling). Monsters, due to their incredible strength, can be useful in professions where that strength is especially valuable. Such as construction and demolition on a large scale, heavy lifting, working at heights/depths, mining, etc. Those who are not satisfied with either of those things go into the creative arts. I'd really like to see a monster DJ!!!
"Tentacular" is a stage name. Personally, I think the name "Nigel" would suit him perfectly. Name meaning: champion, perseverance, independence, zeal; also: cruelty, egoism, envy, hatred. The colors are blue and purple, the element is water. 100% hit. It's compatible with his looks, too.
Steve and his father can tolerate extra high temperatures.
In the second part of the movie (if it ever comes out) Steve will bring his "dancing style" to the end and it will be more like wrestling. However, lazy as he was, he will remain lazy.
There is a very small chance that Rayburn and Jimbo survived, but decided to lay low after the "mysterious disappearance".
Ray and T are about 20-23 years old at the time of their friendship (before the movie), 35-45 years old during the movie. Steve is 3-5 years older than Winnie. I can get very confused about the timing of what's going on in the movie, so consider this as headcanon. I'm having trouble with "time feeling"…
Tumblr media
Winnie is a foot-fetishist.

Thoughts on Where Astarion is From
Going to be a long post. Because there are definitely spoilers for the game in general and probably for Astarion's quest, I'm putting this under a read more.
I've seen in several places now that Astarion is commonly headcanon'd to not be from Baldur's Gate originally. Personally, I really think this makes sense since he's an elf, his parents in theory would still be alive, and - if you stick to the idea he originally was noble/patriar born - he would be recognizable to a lot of people even after being turned. Not only in the city in general but I imagine he helped 'entertain' at Cazador's palace since Cazador did host parties.
An aside, I think this holds true for all of Cazador's 'house' spawn. I know Dalyria formerly was the Physician General to the Parliament of Baldur's Gate but I have a feeling she - like Astarion - probably wasn't in that position terribly long before getting turned so may not have been around long enough for people to really recall her face.
But back to my actual thought: The common thing I see when people headcanon about Astarion's origins before he lived in Baldur's Gate is that he is from Waterdeep, or the surrounding area, because the area used to be home to most of the elves in Faerûn. Just as a note for anyone unfamiliar with where cities are: Waterdeep is 750 miles North of Baldur's Gate, Elturel is officially 200 miles East of Baldur's Gate.
I have an alternate theory: Astarion is from somewhere East of Baldur's Gate. Possibly along the Chionthar.
Why?
Because sometime before the story, at least 100 years ago - and honestly, I think it'd be before he was turned so 200+ years ago - he was in Reithwin Town (the town in Act 2) - and got banned from The Waning Moon.
And this isn't just me making an assumption or coming up with a headcanon. Now, I was too lazy to go find the in-game screenshot that I took and it's on my gaming computer, so this is from the BG3 Wiki - Here's the text when you read the BAN LIST at The Waning Moon:
Tumblr media
The text (bold emphasis mine) reads as:
BARRED FROM ENTRY The following EX-customers are UNWELCOME. Do not let them in, even should they beg. ESPECIALLY should they beg. Martin Doughty - human? - chug-and-run Adam Smythe - lascivious behaviour, also known as 'The Pickle Incident' Gerringothe Thorm - SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE DID Kavin Ort - tall dwarf - exceedingly boring Syrah Bee - short half-elf - vomited on the waiter (purposefully) Unknown elf - pale skin, snide mouth - referring to master distiller as 'the porcine publican' Rochelle Kwark - halfling - groin-punching Yon Von Don (suspected alias) - grotesquely tall human - underpants on head
End screenshot text.
And a second screenshot where the wiki states that the pale elf is Astarion with a link to the source of Kevin VanOrd's twitter. Granted, I do not have an account on twitter so I can't see any posts on twitter and can't confirm the tweet, but I'll post the plain text (no hyperlink) links down below because Tumblr is picky about stuff.
Tumblr media
Screenshot Text:
The names on BAN LIST are the writers of Baldur's Gate 3 poking fun at themselves, as confirmed by writer Kevin VanOrd[1]:
'Martin Doughty' (Martin Docherty)
'Adam Smythe' (Adam Smith)
'Kavin Ort' (Kevin VanOrd)
'Syrah Bee' (Sarah Baylus)
'Unknown elf' - Astarion[2]
'Rochelle Kwark' (Rachel Quirke)
'Yon Von Don' (Jan Van Dosselaer)
[1] VanOrd, Kevin. 2023. "As the book's writer I can confirm it was a juicy act indeed. All the names (aside from Gerringothe's, of course) are based on Larian writers. I can literally tag myself as Kavin Ort, the boring dwarf!" [@fiddlecub, Twitter]. 14 Oct 2023. Available from: https://web.archive.org/web/20240329212133/https://twitter.com/fiddlecub/status/1713103283026383083
[2] VanOrd, Kevin. 2023. "And yes the unknown elf is who you think it is." [@fiddlecub, Twitter]. 14 Oct 2023. Available from: https://web.archive.org/web/20231017062203/https://twitter.com/fiddlecub/status/1713103448516812817
End of screenshot text.
Supporting screenshots out of the way, here are my assumptions so far:
He probably did not have lots of time to dedicate for traveling pre-vampirism days just because law school then actually being a magistrate (yes, I am assuming that law school is a thing in Faerûn).
If he was a noble pre-magistrate days, Reithwin wouldn't be a normal destination choice since nothing in the game makes me think it really was anything more than a normal town that just happened to have fallen to horrific events.
Related to first two bullets: my personal thought is that he was probably sub-30 when this ban at The Waning Moon happened.
Cazador didn't/doesn't travel much himself (Astarion calls him 'reclusive' at some point).
I really doubt Cazador lets any of his spawn travel on their own.
What makes most sense to me personally is that he was traveling from home - wherever that is - to Baldur's Gate. Unfortunately the 5e map of Faerûn only list 4 cities along the Chionthar: Baldur's Gate, Fort Morninglord, Elturel, and Scornubel. It shows none of the towns/settlements shown in Act 1 or Act 2 in BG3. Just for reference:
Tumblr media
Which probably is just so there is some vagueness for D&D players to add in their own towns since D&D is a giant sandbox. So that's kind of what I'm doing here. Somewhere between Reithwin and The Reaching Woods is a town that Astarion once called home.

I think I need to clarify a few things from my last comic. I posted this on reddit as well, earlier today, and I think the mention of non-toh subjects sparked some confusion/discussion. So I want to make a few things clear and go over what I probably messed up on. Sorry, it got a little long, but if any of you were from the reddit post/indulge in dimensional/multiverse theories, you may appreciate this:
- So, a lot of people mainly pointed out how I sort of fumbled the definition of the Kardashev scale. I am aware the scale specifically ranks a civilization’s use of power, NOT how powerful the civilization is. The collector was a pretty bad person to rank, and I was also aware of that, which is why I tried to explain that my ranking of him was just a VERY rough one. He is only an individual, and we have seen so little of his capabilities in general that I couldn’t possible try to theorize how his species would function. I think the confusion spawned from my terrible wording in the comic, as the collector references his physical powers, and then directly moves on to the Kardashev idea. In my head this was a separate thought, but when I wrote it, they weren’t even separate sentences aha. My bad!! Also, someone smart pointed out how we don’t even KNOW if the collector is even a species, or if he’s actually a rando just blessed with really powerful abilities. All in all, adding the kardashev scale in the comic and frivolously ranking the collector was sort of pointless... a fun sort of pointless, but I can see where you all are coming from. Sorry about that!
- Other people discussed my mentioning of the term “god” and what the definition of a god is. So, this idea is ENTIRELY up to your opinion, to be honest, but to make the comic less confusing, this is how I see it: An actual god, in reference to this comic and potentially other things I may talk about, are 10th dimensional beings (or higher) that, essentially, are all powerful, exist in all timelines, exist in all physical places/universes, all at the same time, and can manipulate whatever they want. Now this to some will sound ridiculously silly, which is why I even talked about it in the comic. This definition is not the actual Wikipedia or dictionary definition, it is just my own idea. It is not inherently real, it is just theoretical. Hopefully I made that clear... people in the comments started to reference other “gods” (and when I use quotations, I do not mean they are wrong, just not relevant to the definition I previously explained) in media, like Greek gods. I hope I didn’t offend anyone by trying to explain I wasn’t really talking about them, and just expressing my own idea, but I have a feeling I probably read some responses wrong and a lot of confusion came out of it. Other definitions of godhood in media are not more “incorrect” than mine, I was just trying to explain that the comic was taking place in a universe where my definition was inherently real. I added it for fun, not to challenge other people’s beliefs/ideas. My mistake by sort of just going off about how I personally like to see these dimensions instead of clarifying they were only my opinion, didn’t help either. In conclusion: these were my little headcanons I made up, and I didn’t mean to offend anyone, so I also apologize for that!
- One last little thing: I added string theory at the end purely for jokes. I thought “oh haha string theory is supposed to take place in 11 dimensions right?? hah what if the collector knows about that too”. So yeah, I REALLY didn’t think about how string theory would even be connected to the universe, and I am also not an expert on it either. If that bothers you... I don’t know what to say, but I’ll avoid talking about it in future posts so I don’t mess things up. I should educate myself first!
Alright, that’s pretty much it... I know me making a post about this is silly, but I am just as invested in theories like higher dimensions and multiverses just like you guys. If anything, talking about this stuff is actually pretty cool! You guys are like me :) And learning more about these things and revising my theories is probably a good thing too. This was a silly little toh comic, and I only wish to continue making more silly toh comics!!

How did you actually come up with mayhem x not cup? It seems like such a weird yet canon ship I love it I want to learn more
Tumblr media
Oh i actually had art of that ship waaaaay back before posting on tumblr
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Made this around the middle of last year. And then i posted this when i first started tumblr (you long-time fishies/followers out there who was with me with my first post might remember this lol)
From all i could remember from my past-self's thoughts, Not-Cup was, from what i imagined, a hollow and black eyed version of Cuphead that appeared in real Cuphead's dream in the labyrinth. Which is waaaaay different cuz in the canon, its actually just the usual cuphead that we know, except evil with toungue. I was wondering why he was in the Tear—was he an anomaly like mayhem? Was he an illusion like ava and black hat? Or is he smth else like i dunno, a future cuphead that is potentially possessed by an ink machine part? (As you guys know, when a character gets possessed by this shit, their eyes turn black like Cog!Holly, Cog!Cala and Instument!boris and sarah. Except the brush with mick tho, i dunno why is that)
But anyway, this question gets unanswered leaving me to headcanon that he is an "actual" character and not just a manifestation or illusion of the labyrinth. Just like Mayhem who we thought was an illusion till she's revealed to be an actual character in the series. (This question regarding Not-Cup is still unanswered lol, regardless of an answer, im still shipping them)
Now, onto the actual question, well i dunno if u ship cuphead and holly (i do) and if you'd notice, witchbrew is (obviously) a parallel of the colly ship. Colly are in the hero side, while Witchbrew is on the villain side. I would love to see an actual couple be villains, it sucks that theyre always single XD. If Cuphead had his Holly, then why cant Mayhem have her Not-Cup, hm? Nah-uh aint gonna let that happen
And then boom! This shit--i mean ship is created. Lol i dunno if this makes any sense 😭
Also this ship has ties with my theory regarding of Mayhem's origin and if there will be a canon origin of her story thats gonna be different from my theory, well, lets say this might just be a small fanon ship that randomly came outta nowhere XD
Regarding their origin love story, it starts with my theory that Mayhem is the future Holly that is fully possessed by the cog when the questers went to the desert (forgot its name) to finf the machine. Cuphead goes desperate and asks help from a part? (Eh, i really havent thought about how cuphead got possessed lol) And then he teams up with Mayhem.
The problem is, Cuphead did it out of love, regrets (regret that he didnt manage to save holly even tho it wasnt his fault), and guilt. While Mayhem got possessed by the Cog due to her previous connection to it that got stronger. So i this ship, its painfully one-sided. Painful truth.
But when interacting, they act a bit like a bickering couple, Mayhem being the terrifying teaser she is while Not-cup is the sarcastic serious one. Tho he sometimes act like the actual Cuphead Dish from the questers. They may also act a bit like the duplicates of Colly in appearance.
Not-Cup likes to help Mayhem mess with the Questers as they try to hunt down and restore the duo.
And as for Chaos the Cat... I dunno where the fuck does he fit in lol
From what i remember i think i had a digital version of Mayhem's Tango? Its burried deep down in the ocean... Btw Mayhem's tango was inspired by the song "You'll be mine (Alice's Tango)" by Chi-Chi. I also had other songs that i associate mayhem with (mostly its just bendy fansongs lol) but i dunno if u wanna hear abt it :/
Welp i think thats it? I covered up all about teh WitchBrew origins. Send me another ask if my explanation's not clear XD
Im also glad that you love this silly lil ship i made! It was odd seeing someone like it when i expected no to actually like it XD (tho i dunno out there if anyone actually paid attention to my mayhem x not-cup ship way back then cuz it was a bit random) if u want more infos abt them, go on and ask! I have a bit more from store actually... Hidden for so long... (/jk, its just for 2 years lol)
Stars i feel like ive made an essay...

Just wanting to understand and out of some curiosity, you said that the writers realised that they humanized the Phyrexians and tried to backtrack, that I understand, what choices do you think could have been better made in this circumstance? Again, not wanting to be critical I am just wanting some bits that I didn't quite understand clarified
Saw this comment on a thread I'm in and suspect it was aimed at someone other than me, but it's a good question, so here are things I was expecting that we didn't get:
Urabrask studying and attempting in some way to mass-produce Halo for his rebellion.
His rebellion being so passionate about their goals and so secure in their convictions that Norn was wrong that they were willing to use Halo weapons, which mildly affected them even to wield
Urabrask's rebellion openly allying with Elspeth and Vivien, and major battles of the ill-fated siege being made up of allied Phyrexian, strike team, and Mirran forces
If we got this far (which we didn't, So this is Extra Complexity Funtime for people who could actually write the previous three well) internal debate among the Phyrexians on the ethics of using Halo, as a bioweapon designed to be particularly lethal to their own people. (A friend of mine has an EXCELLENT headcanon bit about Urabrask and a high ranking member of the Phyrexian rebellion having a falling out over this.)
More of the misfit members of each faction. There have been cards now and again throughout Magic's history that suggest that dissent is not unknown in Phyrexia, and that for example the Revokers exist for the express purpose of stamping it out.
If they do, it's a minority position but a common one. How does it generally look? Does it differ by color alignment? My personal pet theory is that most Phyrexians are too intensely indoctrinated and too grounded in the oil memories to challenge something fundamental like "is perfection the true end goal?" but that they can slowly begin to poke at the edges... "is invasion the way to achieve perfection, if we keep failing at it?" "what could it possibly mean that the other factions seem to... see perfection... differently? Can there be ... ...more than one?"
We did see hints of it in Ixhel's story when she finds Geth's misfits. But how big is the city? Do the people in it rebel? If they don't, how do they keep their ideas and values alive and hidden? Do they make contributions to Norn's overthrow?
There's a suggestion that Urabrask and some others believe it's better for compleation to be voluntary. It that's so, do they understand even dimly that fleshlings have actual reasons to value their lives as they are? What do they think of that?
None of this would preclude most Phyrexians being villains, or Norn being the primary antagonist, with her personality unchanged. (She's a great character and one of the legitimately cool things about the arc. They did a great job of making her a terrifying villain and yet a fundamentally insecure, small-minded person.)
It would just... avoid the "some people need a genocidin'" that I really hoped sf/f had left behind.

Coming in late, but how about Finnick, Jonathan Harker, Halt from Ranger's Apprentice, and Galadriel for the Character Bingo, please?
Thanks a lot for the ask! It's not late at all, in fact it's still open, haha. At your service:
Finnick:
Tumblr media
Hmm... so, I like him, but while I know he's the Blorbo Ultimate for a lot of people, I don't think I would call him mine. I get why people adore him so much; he does share some characteristics with my favourite blorbos of all time.. maybe it's just that while I'm interested in the Hunger Games, I don't love this franchise as much as people seem to.
And, maybe I'm wrong, but I do feel like the fandom kind of reduces him to a pure sunshine boy™, and though there's nothing wrong with this kind of character, I don't think it's plausible to portray Finnick like that. He's had to win the Hunger Games somehow. He's killed people - at fourteen! - he's been forced to participate in this horror as a mentor - if he's got strong principles, his conscience must torment him. And then, of course, the prostitution thing. He's not 100% good cheer.
(I've heard about someone headcanoning him as Catholic - Irish name, etc - and I love this idea, but that would make him even more conflicted)
Of course, I have to add an obligatory expression of annoyance at the way he was killed. It made no sense and somehow the surrounding characters had zero emotional reaction to it.
If I'm allowed to have another quibble with the text I hate the way he was introduced. I get that the author wanted his actual good character to come as a surprise, but it was gross.
Jonathan:
Tumblr media
I don't really have much to say except *general positive feelings*. (I feel like he might even qualify as a Blorbo!)
He's excellent husband material and he's never done anything wrong in his life - except, this applies to both those things - when he said he could become a vampire for Mina. Jonathan, no! I'm sure Mina would prefer you to have a strong moral backbone regardless of her own state.
Halt:
Tumblr media
It feels very much a disservice to consider Halt (or anyone in these books) apart from the other characters. They're very much the most interesting together, especially when you consider the humour of the banter.
However, I will say I find his backstory incredibly cool actually. It seems like it got invented pretty late into the series, but actually I think his character fits someone who was raised as nobility (into the "noble" kind of noble, and not the "pampered" kind), but hasn't been leading this life for a while, and has experienced assassination attempts from close family members. I do wonder what his relationship with his sister was like.
I must admit I'm partial to the common headcanon of him as autistic, although, as always with this sort of thing, I'm a bit bothered by the fact that a character may have some autistic traits, but never the less "aesthetic" ones, so
Galadriel:
Tumblr media
Tolkien characters, my beloveds! (with the very strong exception of the darksiders, of course)
Anyway, Galadriel/Artanis!
She's not my favourite out of all Legendarium figures (mostly because all of my blorbos come from there), but I like her a lot, especially when you take into account all the Silm stuff, and look at her role in LotR through that lens. It's tragic, to be honest. She's the only one left. Out of 15 grandchildren of Finwë. And she lives in this delightful (to consider - not to experience) state of being caught between homesickness and pride, ambition and regret.
I strongly dislike Tolkien's later attempts to smoothen her out, to make her so perfect - she never really struck me as a Marian figure; there are Marian figures in the legendarium, but Galadriel isn't one. Her Silm backstory is everything it should be.
I also dislike the theory that she was specifically banned from returning to Valinor. It's way more interesting when it's a "no" said in pride, in the wish to be a queen and not a subject, to be one of the most powerful and not one of the less - a "no" that she may come to halfway regret but believes is an irrevocable choice - or is hesitant to take back.
I find an interpretation that takes into account her more complicated characteristics like the fact that she is willing to cover for murderers really worthwhile. The fact that she starts off as the very skilled youngest child of a youngest child of a king, with ambitions and little way to be taken seriously until disaster strikes... chef's kiss.
I eternally loathe the movies' interpretation of her (and of the other elves, though it's most visible in her). Cate Blanchett seems so cold, even when she's trying to seem warm. They went for "otherworldly" and forgot elves are at the same time just as, if not more, grounded as men are.
Sorry if you expected a more LotR-centered take though, I'm afraid the Silm is firmly holding my mind hostage.

The way you’ve created your versions of Monty and the AUs is actually amazing, (I actually love Monty even more because of your work ) but I gotta know, how did you come up with everything?
(Like personality types, AU specifics, etc.)
💫Depression💫 /hj
More or less my Monty has always been...Like that™. Some may say a soft boy
So originally the SB designs got leaked way back in 2020 on a calender or something, and I went "oh I like the gator" and made these. A design that's familiar to the game, but still my type™
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which the first one was my first ever piece in CSP :)
And Montgomery lived pretty rent free in my mind. I can't find them, but I had doodled him a bunch on my work sheets through the next 2 months.
Then I kind of forgot about him till sept 2021 with some trailers dropping
Tumblr media
Which this ⬆️ was born out of. I had a general idea in my head how this guy worked/had my own headcanons based off what little we had. Which was pretty far off from actual canon lmao.
The orignal black spike bits in the neck and ankles were meant to represent corruption, but just kinda, became part of the design for me. I phased out the ankle and elbow spikes when doing my series since I threw out the direct corruption theory
When the game finally dropped, it reignited my love of the gator. Which was when I made this. ⬇️
Tumblr media
I had no real ideas in my head at the time, just "Ha ha what if you were a maintenance worker that Monty liked to hit on-"
And it snowballed. So very hard.
I went from maintenance staff to "oh well I drew them with Monty on their boots and they're in his colors...hmm what if every animatronic had a Handler?" and then it rolled into "okay how do I explain my ideas of a pre Glamrock Monty?" and "Idk I'd like to think he was chill before he got his upgrades-" and "Hmm. What if the viewer insert was super close with Monty?" which was when I made my first video. I posted it to tik tok and made myself food.
Needless to say I was not prepared for how fast it took off. And I had planned on making more either way because I like to tell stories, even if nobody is listening. But the excitement from people spurred me on
And I drew a ton of art and wrote a lot of things, but I got bored. But with the dlc, my hyperfixation reemerged with a fucking vengeance
So many people wanted to hear my story, and I appreciated it immensely, and I still do 🥺💕💕💕
I love all of you 😭💕💕💕💕
And my Monty gained his iconic snakebites when I stole them off a different oc of mine. Zel ⬇️
Tumblr media
As for everyone else. They're just random ideas I had and went "I can work with that." because my brain never shuts off. I have. So many ideas. It's just a matter of getting the energy for it all.
The werebeings AU was always kind of a thing, as evidenced in the sept 2021 doodle. He reemerged later on in my art and I essentially moved the microscope around till I was happy. And we got the dork we have now

I saw the tags on the last ask but EXCUSE ME, NINE of those Dark Matter things?!?!?! Isn't that way too much than needed, hello!? Culann really got it bad after being forced just one (I'm really sorry if I ended up referring him in a bad way- T^T), but why nine times the amount?! Ouch... My bad on it getting to me by a lot, but I like both Tanta and Ares because the former's my first monster to get while playing and the other being the one that kept me curious about the game itself.. Aaaaaa, I hadn't been keeping up lore wise other than from watching gameplays alone but the big bad of chapter 4 just gives me bad vibes all over him, I think Laphroaig or something was his name? I swear if the personal theory of mine on Laphoraig is wanting a blank replacement that's like him or worse if he himself is gone was the right guess, it's gonna be vengeance time- Hdhahahbdsj, please let Oreca Battle be updated soon so I can beat Laphoraig with Purgatory Emperor Ares in the team!
Aishhh... Um, l-let's try to put that away for a bit, at least something just for me to do. Speaking of Culann, do you have any headcanons you can share? Kinda curious on which hero he's obsessing over in his 4☆ form, with his 3☆ form is literaly the positive polar of a defensive tanker instead of going on offensive. What happens in that one frame though, where he's being held back with Balt at the corner?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yup, nine pieces of those Dark Matters on his headpiece- And interestingly enough, it's only apparent on the second version of Purgatory Emperor Ares Which described in the JP Fanwiki, is when any traces of who he was as a passionate warrior have gone and replaced by the purgatory emperor persona
Tumblr media
Also, your theory might have not been far off Because from the description on Phantom Laphroaig's JP fanwiki page, his intention to invade the kingdom persist even without physical form
And now, to answer some of your questions about Culann
I'll put it under the cut, because this answer might go so long because of the images-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Culann was first corrupted by Dark Matter in Demizu Posuka's manga, his obsession was to get stronger And in that state of mind, turning into a hero is the method he knows of to get stronger
But since "Sign of a Brave Hero" rejected him, he went on a blind rampage-
Tumblr media
And this is a piece of my own headcanon, but if the Dark Matter that's inside Culann were not destroyed in this fight, the hero he is going be obsessed to, without a doubt, is going to be Tanta-
But since his obsession started with wanting to be stronger and/or anything related to a hero, he might also go berserk if he were to encounter other warrior with Hero in their title, such as Kurt or the elemental warriors on their 4★ evolution This one is only my headcanon, tho-
Other than that, my other headcanon for Culann is that,
4★ Culann is much more expressive with his emotions, while 3★ Culann is much more reserved (This was influenced by my mutual's tweet who points out the difference in fighting style between 3★ Culann and 4★ Culann)
4★ Culann might randomly freeze in place and needed time to regain himself again (This is just me referencing his losing line, which is "What in the world am I?!")
This one is just my own personal HC, but I love to think that Culann have a strong fondness to sweets- And I like to think that this little quirk of his is one of what still remained while he is corrupted by Dark Matter-

Some Inconclusive Squinting At Wilson And Audrey's Timelines
Probably someone else has already had thoughts on this, but here's some of mine!
WILSON:
World War 1 ended in Nov 1918. Given Nathan was shipped overseas in the final year, it's likely he participated til the end, meaning that if he got busy with Tessa the INSTANT he got home, Wilson would be born in mid 1919 and be, uh, 53 years old by the time of BatDR
No offense to Wilson but he is NOT looking good for 53
Also Wilson somehow sounds approximately a gazillion times older than his dad's audiologs, which, since they're about the death of Joey Drew and the opening of Arch Gate Pictures, are from just a couple years ago.
There's a few different ways headcanon could go on this I think, but I actually have a small speculation/theory on this one: Wilson has been in the Ink Realm for over a decade, thus "removed from the march of time" in reality, but since he's human (the only human!) and not an ink creature, he's been aging while in the Ink Realm.
We know he's been in and out before, and a decade or more could give him enough time to learn about and do all the bullshit he's doing. Henry mentions that he hasn't eaten in years, which could be a mistaken guess -- but if he's correct, would mean he's been captured a lot longer than the 211 days they've been ink-demon-free.
This could also fit with Wilson's weird note about being hidden in plain sight:
"It's been years and my face is still a mystery to my coworkers. They don't know me. They avoid me as if I carried some infectious disease. At first, this was an insult. But now... it is a gift. With the right costume, I can play the part of anyone. I can go completely unnoticed, hidden amongst the shadowed walls. As a clerk, an artist, a producer. Or even... a lowly janitor."
I don't think it's controversial to say that Wilson is eXTREMELY DISTINCTIVE AND VERY NOTICEABLE ACTUALLY, and even the man himself describes being intentionally avoided as if he's diseased, which is sort of the opposite of being unnoticeable. But if Wilson came out of the machine looking over a decade older and was suddenly treated like a weird old man when he's only in his 50s... both his offended confusion and his later realisation that this is an opportunity to be unrecognisable could fit.
(do i think this is intended? tbh probably not. do i think it makes more sense? YES) anyway next up,
AUDREY:
We hear the "tell me another story, Uncle Joey" line in BatIM, which takes place in 1963. Joey describes his previous attempts as those that "came before" Audrey, so most likely he had not created Audrey yet.
This would mean Audrey was created in 1963 at earliest, and is a young woman by the time of BatDR in 1973
This does not look like a 10 year old:
Tumblr media
So Joey didn't just create her as a ten year old and then by BatDR she's 20; Something weird happened with her aging. ...this isn't like, a plot hole or anything; she's an ink creature and she can grow up however quickly she wants/Joey wants. BUT IT DOES RAISE SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT EXACTLY HOW THAT WENT DOWN, especially considering that Joey died only 2 years ago, describes having a pretty significant relationship to her, and then in BatDR she has completely forgotten he's her dad. There's so many pieces;
Wilson (dubious trustworthiness) says she'll forget everything, implying that on entering the ink realm she'll lose her memories -- though afaik none of her other actions or comments seem to reflect a loss of memory on any other topic (for example, confidently telling Wilson "I've never done anything to you!" rather than a question of "What did I ever do to you?!")
Similarly, her "Well, newsflash! I didn't even know my father!" line does NOT sound like she suddenly can't remember her dad -- the emotion in it sounds like something that's been kind of a sore spot for a while. Even a new, fudged memory wouldn't have the time to build up this frustration in the Ink Realm... it feels pre-existing.
Joey (dubious trustworthiness) asserts that she's chosen to forget.
With her age being weird we have no idea when she left home; she could've been out on her own for a few years, and depending on the circumstances, may have had reason to forget/dismiss the memories of a very anomalous childhood.
Nathan never mentions her and does not have any explanation for Joey's boosted spirits (when you would think "apparently he adopted a child!" would be a pretty reasonable guess), so she does not seem to PUBLICLY be known as Joey's daughter
With absolutely no information there's space for a lot of speculation -- since she's his creation, can Joey tweak her memories? Can he give her a different backstory? Or did Audrey just end up in a different living situation and her brain decided her "ten years of growing up crammed into 4 years of time" memories with Joey didn't make sense? Did Joey have to give her up for some reason? Or did she and Joey have a huge argument/falling out that led to her leaving home? Did Joey try to demonstrate the truth to her and it was so weird that she just blocked it all out? etc etc etc
She still has the animation cell signed by Henry, and the TioL book with Joey's storyboard notes, which I feel like, she must've been given by Joey? So like, does she know Joey raised her, and she called him "dad" with the assumption he was her adoptive father, and she just wonders about a birth family that must exist but that she never knew? This one feels the most sensible to me, but also doesn't track with Memory Joey making the assumption that she's "chosen to forget" -- though it's also possible he's just being dramatic, or that Memory Joey just didn't know. Or, combine this with the one about Joey telling her the truth and her just repressing that because it's too weird, so she remembers her relationship with her father but not the origin story??? And like... I guess also this would mean the machine DID scramble her memories some so that Memory Joey wasn't shocking to her to meet?
Anyway, I haven't been able to cobble together a SATISFYING THEORY about Audrey's timeline so much as a bunch of really interesting headcanon fodder, depending on how you want to interpret Joey.... Just feels like there's a big space there where SOMETHING Obviously Happened but absolutely no clues towards what it might be.
