I did one of these. This is still missing a lot of my favorite movies but I think it gets my brain across. I like to laugh. Under the cut I'll talk more about each selection, if you care to read :3
Feel free to do this yourself and tag me! I love to see what my mutuals are thinking.
Favorite Film/Big Personal Impact/Bad Day Cure: Better Off Dead (1985) is my favorite movie ever. It's a dark comedy about a teen boy named Lane Meyer who, devastated after his girlfriend breaks up with him for someone hotter, tries to kill himself. He fails every time. His friends (the French exchange girl Monique and the weirdo who snorts jell-o Charles de Mar) help him build his confidence in himself and get over her. The sense of humor in this movie is impeccable. It's so surrealist in a time long before surreal comedy became as prominent as it is now. Honest to god, if this movie came out today (with a few mild tweaks, given some social sensibilities between now and then having changed) it would be a total fucking hit. 100% chance if you message me saying "hey I'd like to try out Better Off Dead" I will find time to watch it with you. This movie has had insane impact on my sense of humor and how I see the world.
Best Script: I don't know if I've ever heard a script I've really liked or thought was flawless. All my movies actually have a lot of awkwardness in them. The best script I can think of is Forrest Gump, if we're talking overall quality. Script I like the most is a tie between Better Off Dead, The Lost Boys, and Moulin Rouge.
Favorite Movie Poster: This was a very hard one. My knee-jerk reaction was to select Star Wars OT (either ESB or ROTJ), Indiana Jones (the 3rd one), Back to the Future (any of them), or Adventures in Babysitting. I honestly just love old 80s movie posters in general. I settled on The Thing (1982) because I love the eerieness and stark, simple colors and shapes. It's also my favorite horror movie in general, but there' no slots based on individual genres.
I'll Watch It Some Day: Blade Runner (1982) and Sin City (2005) have been on my watch lists for a very, very long time. I want to watch more noir-typed films, especially ones with gimmicks that mess with visuals (cyberpunk in Blade Runner, and comics in Sin City). I'm so, so bad at watching movies, though LMAO
Best Long Movie (3+ hours): I'd rather roll around in a sea of broken glass than watch a 3 hour long movie. 2.5 hours is my limit. I like Forrest Gump (1994) a lot and I watch it every time I catch it on cable. However... if we're counting limited series that could be interpreted as movies... Color of Magic (2008) is really fucking good. It's split into two parts, with the overall runtime reaching 3 hours. But the fact it's split up feels better on my brain.
You Like, But Everyone Else Hates: 50 First Dates (2004)... I know Adam Sandler is bad. I know. I know. But. This movie is a guilty pleasure for me, as are a couple other of his movies. I know if taken literally and in the real world, this movie is creepy. But I like romantic comedies. I think it's sweet he loves her so much and wants to make it work. And I love Drew's character a lot, too. In a way, I also love how this movie challenges relationships that are "meant to be" -- given how Drew's character is only interested sometimes but hates him others. It puts into perspective "right time, right place/wrong time, wrong place". Leave me alone.
You Hate, But Everyone Else Likes: How to Train Your Dragon (2010) isn't necessarily a bad movie. I had the misfortune of being a 12-13 year old who really liked the books this movie steals its name from, and being an amputee myself. Something about how they totally butchered the story I really loved, and something about how they just decided to make Hiccup an amputee just like that, it rubbed me, personally, the whole ass wrong way. I can't bring myself to like this movie. It is what it is.
Underrated: Shaun of the Dead (2004) rocks hard and fast. It's silly and funny and has incredibly fun cinematography and I associate this movie with me and my mom watching it together in our shared room when I lived in the swamp ass of the United States, Missouri, so I'm extra sentimental about it. There's so many really solid jokes. In general, I love Edgar Wright films, and I love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost films, so together it just makes me go yippeeeee!!!
Overrated: Being a horror fan who doesn't like Halloween (1978) kinda sucks sometimes. I think it does beautiful things with lighting and shadow and camera, and I respect how it influenced horror as a whole genre. But I think the movie is boring as hell and isn't really that good as an overall movie. Watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre instead.
"Why do I like this?": My grandfather showed me Robin Hood (1938) while I visited him this summer. I typically hate older movies because my attention span is terrible. But I liked this one. I loved the costuming and the sets and I loved Errol Flynn as Robin Hood and I loved the colors and all of it. I was having the time of my life. I want to emphasize again how much I love the costuming. I love medieval shit so much that I want to throw up, and having the grace to allow medieval costumes to be relatively accurate (with creative liberties) and colorful? Oh my god. The embroidery on the outfits, dude. Ohhh my god.
Great Soundtrack: I watched Valley Girl (1983) for the first time with my mom like last week and I adored it. I grew up listening to the soundtrack, though, because it was one of my mom's favorites. It's really my style. Honorable mentions for this category are also Garden State (2004) (I didnt watch this, my mom just had the soundtrack CD in her car), and Moulin Rouge (2001), which we'll get into shortly.
That Cinematography...: In an effort to avoid mentioning Edgar Wright movies an extra time (Scott Pilgrim, Shaun of the Dead, and Last Night in Soho have very honorable mentions here)... Fight Club (1999) was so fun visually. It was punchy and wicked and it felt like living in a comic book to me. Vamp (1986) is a movie I saw last week with my mom so it's fresher in my head, but I really loved so many of the shots and the lighting choices. Two scenes in particular stand out to me: 1st, when the strip club ghouls are sitting in their dark office, with green light cast from the blinds shining on them; 2nd, when our protagonist is winding back a bow and arrow with which to kill our antagonist in the sewer, and a shaft of light hit the fletching of the arrow, I was hooting and hollering.
Favorite Protagonist: Picking just one was impossible. Lane Meyer from Better Off Dead (1985) is a psychotic, depressed, emotionally imbalanced teenager with an amazing sense of play and lessons to learn. Simon from Dinner in America (2020) is a blunt, feral, possibly autistic punk kid with a love of fire and a love of beating ableist ass. Ellen Ripley from Alien (1979) is played by Sigourney Weaver, which is a plus in itself, but she's a capable, badass woman who is intelligent and cunning. AND she makes sure to save the cat. Honorable mentions include Quentin Smith from Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) for being my specialist boy, Indiana Jones from Indiana Jones (1981-2023) for being a silly guy who inspired me to look into archaeology as a kid and also punches nazis, Donnie Darko from Donnie Darko (2001) for being another psychotic, depressed, emotionally imbalanced teenager with an amazing sense of play and lessons to learn, and Han Solo from Star Wars (1977-2015) for being stupid and cringefail and funny and a true hero against the Empire.
Favorite Trilogy: Asking me to pick between Star Wars the Original Trilogy and Indiana Jones is an impossible task, dude. They occupy the exact same place in my brain. They were both series that I grew up watching since I was old enough to look at a TV screen, and that influenced my whole sense of self. And they both have Harrison Ford, who is one of my favorite actors. They both have adventure and romance and father problems and a call to corruption we must reject and supernatural forces. They just occupy the same part of my brain.
Biggest Letdown: I watched Bram Stroker's Dracula (1992) like two days ago and it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I thought it would be good because it was hyped up, it's full of actors I adore, it's about vampires, it's goth as hell. But other than the beautiful camerawork and special effects and stuff, I just wanted it to end. I was bored at best and disgusted at worst.
Biggest Surprise: When Dinner in America (2020) came out, it didn't find American distribution for a long time. But... I was in a very strong Kyle Gallner phase kickstarted by Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) and Cherry (2010). The idea that he was in a punk love story got my hackles up. Eventually, I was able to see the movie, and it was nothing I thought it would be, but it was perfect for me. I fell in love with it. It's a very surprising movie.
"Not the best, but I'm having fun"/Depressing Movie: Moulin Rouge (2001) had my brain in a twist from ages 12-15. I watched this movie over and over and over, to the point I knew half the script by heart. I was in love with the characters, the movement, the pacing, the story, the music. As I got older, I became more aware that the movie kinda sucks. But I still love it regardless. It's an incredibly fun movie. When it isn't ripping your heart out. I love you Ewan MacGregor and Nicole Kidman. Mwah.
Criminally Overlooked: I love you Lost Boys (1987). I love you SoCal 80s fashion. I love you punk vampires. I love you filthy city aesthetic. I love you grandpa. I love you saxophone man. I love you kids thinking they're badass vampire hunters. I love you milfs.
Favorite Active Director: Edgar Wright rocks lmao. I love his style of scene transitions and camera movement. Nobody does it like him. Any time I'm watching one of his movies, I can fucking tell. I'm a simple guy, you put moving pictures in front of me and it's fun and colorful, I'll clap my hands and holler.
Favorite Animated Movie: This is hard. I picked two. Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002) was one of my favorite movies as a kid. It had horses, good music, it's the wild west, and prominent Native protagonists (which were rare when I was a kid...). As an adult, I could recognize more what an awesome movie it was and what a great story about colonialism and fighting back against assimilation it was. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) is one of the most visually beautiful films I've ever seen. I was totally lost in the animation the whole movie. I think when I see the next in the series, undoubtedly even more beautiful, my eyes will melt and my head will explode, as though I were viewing the Ark of the Covenant in Indiana Jones, beholding something that should never be beheld. There's a lot of honorable mentions to possibly put here, like Ice Age (2002), or The Last Unicorn (1982), or Venture Bros: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart (2023), or Lilo & Stitch (2002), or Brother Bear (2003), or Over the Hedge (2006), or Balto (1995) or... the list goes on. As a kid, I was disabled and stayed inside most of the time, so I watched a lot of movies and TV, and have a lot of things I liked.
Not Usually My Thing, But...: Phantom of the Opera (1990) is so... different. They took a lot of creative liberties with the stories and the characters in this one, and I really like those creative liberties. I don't really like Phantom of the Opera. But I like this. I watched it because I was in the middle of a Game of Thrones rewatch, and I was really admiring Charles Dance, and my best friend is a Phantom fan, so I compromised between my special interest and theirs. Charles Dance is an incredible Phantom, in my opinion. I like how in this version, he feels like more of an overly supportive gay best friend to Christine than an obsessed stalker lover. I also love the costumes.

i re-read the Brentwood Arc for the 13th time in the time of this ao3 shutdown (praise be the ao3 otw volunteers yall are based and deserve the world) oh my god i have IDEAS for a tim drake/danny temple crackfic that i may never release into the wild
Do u know how fucking funny i could be if i ever decided to write a Father of the Bride (the 1991 one specifically) AU. Like,,,ik thats a rather niche AU but like,,,i could. Father of the Bride would work EXTREMELY well as an au.
Lemme explain: this could be a no capes au OR just a canon divergence post Red Robin 2009 bc i never read further past that bc it didnt spark joy
No capes au? Tim comes back from overseas after doing a business trip for Bruce as a 21 yr old (letting my boy outta dc's forever 17 basement) or going off to college as like,,,a CompSci student for a whole year and now has to break it to his fam he's engaged to a really sweet herpetologist (or geneticist either/or works bc wow he was WEIRD as hell too why was this 14/15 yr old reading about genetic sciences) aka my LOVE Danny Temple that he met at college. bonus points he's the first one in the fam to make the leap for marriage bc thats SO fucking funny (i only do things for comedy)
Post-RR Era canon divergence au Tim decides he needs to take some time and figure out his head bc oh god my boy was a MESS holy shit and somehow (hes a nosey ass/affectionate) ends up in Kobra Cult messes and reconnects to his old friend Danny Temple. Fast forward at least several wacky hijinks, a Danny Tim Road Trip 2.0, long distance pining, some personal crises, emotional revelations and like,,2 years later, tim brings danny home for dinner and hopefully not a funeral bc they both decided they wanted each others disaster selves. More shenanigans.

They’ve been like this for a while now. The Guardian gets hurt, Ghost scolds them, and they feel guilty for burdening him; for dragging him down with them, and being why he can never go home. They won’t listen when he says they’re his home.
bonk bonk bonk. this is my apology for taking so long on... literally everything else. The Cayde short is actually done now, but wasn't at the time of me finishing this one (which has been done for a few days, I'm just. too lazy lmao) so someone bully me into posting Cayde Hug please
Anyway here is a nice Young Wolf and Ghost short! angst with a side of some beloved bickering <3 they are so stubborn but they are soulmates (platonic), your honor.
[ao3 link]
The statues, twice their size, are caught in poses of combat-ready or investigative, some having tried to run farther down the hall. The blizzard swells and dies out farther down the corridor, leaving the blanket of wisp-soft Void swirling around their steps as mist continues bleeding through the cracks in what was once a battalion of Cabal.
Their arm sways at their side, cold blood squeezing out of shrapnel wounds down the side of their body, the other hand tightly gripping Howl. Ghost materializes to their left, but they stumble forward, stepping towards the frosted over parts of their helmet. There’s a shard of a frag launch splitting down through the eye of it; the orange glow dead.
They plant the tip of the sword on the ground to hold steady as they lower themself over their helmet, Ghost trilling worriedly behind them. The streams of blood begin to reheat, numbness leaving the limb in favor of a boiling pain, and they can feel the soothing chill of Ghost scanning their injuries.
Shakily setting Howl down beside them, they move to pick up the tattered helmet, to be met with an irritated strumming through the Bond. “Guardian, at least hold still long enough for me to heal that arm before you make the bleeding worse,” Ghost sighs out. The Guardian only grumbles, before holding the arm out for a proper scan.
The movement itself makes them tense, resisting the urge to screw their eyes shut against the pins and needles and the accidental twisting of metal scraps still in some wounds. They hiss at the cold air, partially regretting the choice of Void as they all but pour heat out through the shredded armor and skin.
They trace the broken edges of their helmet with their spare hand, rather than watch Ghost knit the skin back together. The feeling of the metal shards being pushed out from the inside as the torn muscle pulls back together makes them nauseous.
No matter how many times they’ve felt it, or woken up from a death to their insides still being patched together, or had to pull themself off of spikes for it to even happen—The nausea always comes back. The frustration of never getting used to something so common in their non-life always comes back.
“Guardian.” Their fingers are bleeding, cut on the broken metal. The edges of their vision swims in and out, and they're not sure if it’s blood loss or the hallucinations again. “Guardian? You’re doing it again.”
They blink, and lower the outstretched arm. The burning feels distant, and the skin is stiff with dried blood, but the wounds feel closed, and the repaired parts of their armor are thinner than the parts that hadn’t been damaged.
He sighs, more irritated—exhausted?—this time. “We’ll need to see Drifter again if we want to repair your armor properly. There’s only so much I can do.” It feels as if he’s scanning them, but the blue glow never comes. “Still with me?”
As a soothing pulse pushes through stiff barriers of Light, they feel some sense return to their body and their face soften. Turning their head away from Ghost, the Guardian gives a small nod. A part of them wants to cradle him; say they’re sorry for putting him through this. He should’ve had someone better.
They settle instead for a soft rippling in the Light; the feeling of tucking a sleeping other’s hair away. He knows what they mean.
Ghost shoves his shell into the side of their head, making them lose the thought and duck away. “We’re not doing this again, Guardian! If the Traveler itself gave me a chance to pick someone else, you know I’d refuse every time.” His voice softens as he speaks, and he must have seen the small wince that crosses their face.
“I mean it, Guardian,” he chimes, firm but soft. Wholly faithful. “When I told you, through Light or Dark, I meant it. Even if it’s just you and me against the world, I wouldn’t change a thing so long as I had you.”
They know Ghost means it; they’ve never doubted it—But that’s the problem. He deserves so much better than a monster for a partner. The crumbling, now barely recognizable statues of Stasis prove them, if not a monster, a force of chaos. Both unstoppable, and immovable. Even with the explosives and traps, there was never a chance.
The shared turmoil strains the Bond with impressions of spirals, and Ghost lowers himself to hover just over their shoulder as they hold their other hand up for him. “Monster or not—and I’m not saying you are, but you never believe me—” He rambles, “You’re still my partner. My Guardian.”
And he’s their Ghost. But it changes nothing. The blood is half dried, dripping sluggishly, as he closes the cuts in the pads of their fingers. They rub them together, the nerves still knitting together feeling like pins and needles.
Nudging him with their shoulder draws a huff out of Ghost. “Yes, I’m done. But this conversation isn’t over.”
It’s their turn to sulk—The conversation is never over. Who’s the monster, who’s to blame, who should suffer: Ghost’s answer is always the same—They scoop the parts of their helmet up, moving it to one arm, before sheathing Howl on their back.
They could clean it later. Ghost gives a puff of discontent.
As they stand, the sound of the last remnants of Stasis crackling out of existence drags their eyes up. The remaining wisps of Void smoke are quickly phasing out of the air, and they take a moment to watch the last evidence of their destruction crumble into nothing. Only the damage of weaponry to the building and their spilt blood remain.
“I’d say that’s progress, wouldn’t you?” Ghost murmurs, tone light, and they can’t help but give him a weird look. This quiet destruction– progress? They get a puff of indignity in exchange. “Well, I did get the data Drifter needed, so yes– But not what I’m talking about.”
The look he gives them is… cheeky. They don’t like it. “What I meant was…” There’s an audible smile creeping into his voice—victoriously smug—as he bumps their head. “Youuu didn’t fight me on healing this time.”
Scars. He’s smug about the scars.
They give a thin-lipped grimace at his priorities, and he just beams brighter. “It’s not much, but you don’t make personal progress very easy, Guardian.” They huff and turn away from him, walking down the hall to the back exit.
Ghost rests his shell in the junction of their hood as they pull it back up, both of them knowing the Guardian will walk slower so he won’t fall out.
“I’ll take any win I can get with you,” he chimes to himself, quiet.

WROTE MORE NOTES WHILE WATCHING THE MOVIES LOKI IS IN. THIS TIME FOR THOR: RAGNAROK. THESE ONES TEND TO BE LESS SERIOUS WHICH MAKES SENSE SINCE THIS MOVIE ALSO HAPPENS TO BE LESS SERIOUS. IT WAS STILL FIN THOUGH.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wonder if thor's looking for infinity stones was another of "odin's" (loki's) orders
ragnarok is one of my favorite thor movies though it is less serious than the others. it has a sense of... silly billyness.
heimdall is not there dude. dude got banished. they replaced him with karl urban
skurge has to run alllllllllll the way down the bifrost now
it's a statue of loki, thor. duh.
THE PLAY 😭😭😭 I'll never get over this shit. loki is so fucking funny
"oh shit" YEAH OH SHIT
loki was able to act as odin perfectly before but just loses that here completely like he is barely able to keep his cool
idk if anyone has noticed this. I only noticed after someone pointed it out, but loki doesnt move out of the way. thor pushes him out of the way. loki was just going to stay there and let mjolnir hit him
he looks so good oh my god this movie has some of loki's best looks I just want to Eat him
love that he poked the piece of paper and whispered loki because honestly it's plausible that he'd just turn into a piece of paper
stephen loves dramatics doesn't he?
this scene made me laugh so hard I cried the first time I saw it 😭😭😭 "I have been falling!! FOR THIRTY MINUTES!!"
die odin
the way loki turns and stares at odin after he calls them BOTH his sons
"frigga wouldve been proud" literally kill me it would hurt less. I hate they made odin say things that dont justmake me angry
odin loves dropping crazy jaw dropping earth shattering news and then dipping. he just loves not dealing with his problems and leaving them to someone else
"no. I'm on a different path now. this you must face alone." back to him just making me angry. fuck you old man. just like I said. loves not doing with his own problems THAT HE CREATED.
LOKI'S FACE DOMT DO THIS TO ME. WHEN ODIN SAYS "I LOVE YOU, MY SONS." HIS JAW LITERALLY DROPS HE'S IN SHOCK IN DISBELIEF OF THSOE WORDS SOMEONE HUG HIM AND LOVE HIM FOR ME I CANT TAKE THIS
he fucking oogwayed them that's insane bro it's actually fucking insane 😭😭
HOW WAS IT LOKI'S DOING. HE JUST PUT HIM IN A SENIOR HOME WHERE I BELIEVE HE FUCKING BELONGED AND THAT'S BEING NICE
HELA 💖💖💖💖💖
bye bye loki see you on sakaar
yall don't know how crazy I went when she just fucking massacred the warriors three
trash planet
I FUCKING HATE THAT THEY TOOK DOWN THOR. THE GOD OF THUNDER AND FUCKING LIGHTNING. WITH A FUCKING ELECTRIC (BASICALLY LIGHTNING) ATTACK. IT DOESNT MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE
I do love loki, but he really did make a mistake calling for the portal to be opened. it seems like a very obviously wrong move and uncharacteristic of loki. idk maybe that's just me. then again he does run so.
jeff goldblum is a treasure to the world
one of his hottest looks. whoever the designer and artists were for this movie have my fucking gratitude for giving me this loki.
how was loki there for weeks and just never saw hulk??
cate blanchett is everything
I domt understand why she's so... loki like. the green and black, the blades, even her magic is green.
i do wish the movie was a little more serious. like loki saying to thor "it hurts doesnt it? being lied to. being told you're one thing and it all being a fiction." it's a very serious matter and it's just swept away and a joke is made immediately after those words are said
"our sister" OUR.
"guess I'll just have to go it alone. like I've always done." AND THOR JUST GIVES A SARCASTIC FAKE SMILE LIKE HE CANT BELIEVE HIM. THOR!!! WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU !!! also you cant blame loki for hela. she would have escaped or been freed at some point.
LOKI'S REACTION TO SEEING HULK 😭😭
you tried thor, but unfortunately you're not natasha. as much as I hate that storyline.
"Yes! That's how it feels!" 😭
makes me even more pissed about the way they shut him down. HE LITERALLY WAS CREATING LIGHTNIG IN HIS BODY AND THEY TAKE HIM DOWN BY ELECTROCUTING HIM!?!?!? DOESNT. MAKE. ANY. SENSE.
also idc thor was winning that fight. only reason he didnt was cuz they did that to thor.
hate to see him go, but love to watch him walk away (loki)
i really do love watching him fight
loki looks so proud and fond like of the snake stabby thor story
THAT'S NOT WHAT HE ALWAYS WANTED. DO WE FORGET HIS WORDS DURING THE FIRST FIGHT BETWEEN THEM WE SEE? "I only ever wanted to be your equal!" actually going to lose it rn. COUNT YOUR FUCKING DAYS THOR. COUNT THEM.
I do think thor is being honest about how he thought the world of loki, but never enough to really look, to truly see his brother. never cared enough to dig deeper. and the mistakes loki made have just made it easier for thor to further ignore the deeper problems with his brother. you can love someone dearly, but still never truly see them. I wonder if knowing of thor's love makes it better or worse for loki. to be so loved, but for it to still not be enough to have been seen, to have been helped at all. or easier for it to be a lie and never loved at all, for it makes more sense to loki, because if you loved him why would you never dig deeper? why could you not see what was wrong? what was being done to him? how he felt? maybe that's why he was so adamant in the past, brushing thor's words away because otherwise that would mean even then it just wasnt enough. and it's more familiar to him too. the feeling he sits in, the knowledge that he's not loved or understood, that those around him think so little of him. and sometimes familiarity is easier than taking a new and brighter path.
he could be more. but it's hard to do that when everyone around you sees the worst in you and your stuck in a shadow your entire life. ignored. it's why I love mobius so much. he sees what others don't in loki and actually pushes him to be better and is there for him. mobius is truly the number one loki apologist.
THE THUD OF BANNER HITTING THE BIFROST 😭😭😭
LOKI IS SO DRAMATIC "Your saviour is here!!"
I LOVE WHEN THOR FINALLY STARTS USING LIGHTNING LIKE THIS. ALSO LOKI'S PROUD GRIN WHEN HE SEES HIM.
I take it back THIS is loki's hottest look
"if you were actually here, I might even give you a hug" " I'm here" AND THEN YOU DON'T SHOW US A HUG ??? REALLY???
the look of horror on loki's face when the ship appears. thor looks curious, but loki.... he knows who that ship belongs to and you can just see the dread fill him.
are sawashiro arakawa masato cat people or dog people (individually) GO
Arakawa’s a hard one to decide on. On one hand i can see him enjoying how quiet and relaxed cats can be, but on the other hand i can equally see him enjoy the high energy and affection that dogs can bring. Im gonna lean just a lil more on him owning a dog this time tho
Sawashiro’s def a big-dog kinda guy, probably with an indifference towards cats. Def would have one of them Scary Looking dogs but he genuinely cares for it and it isn’t just kept around for show. Yk after he goes through the whole We’re Not Keeping That Thing phase
With Masato, he’d definitely prefer a cat if he had to be around one or the other. For sure isnt a fan of dogs, esp big dogs when they can really easily topple him- not to mention how loud and messy they can be. As Aoki, he’d tolerate them better at least now that he isn’t sitting all the time
SOME DIE BUT OTHERS DONT#and the ones that do are not in a byg fashion#the tradgedy....the comedy............#if you like ofmd but you also Like Angst.............listen to me.....its on hulu........or go bonkers like me and buy the boxset#of blurays uwu#or pirate it. they cant be mad at u if you do. its a pirate show you cant expect ppl not to pirate it imo#also also also i know this post is about flint. but legitimately there are beautiful wonderful amazingly written nuanced female characters#as well. id also nominate anne bonny black sails for poor little meow meow. sopping wet covered in blood in a big hat with a sword#having a gay little breakdown thats not an exagerration she literally does and then they handle#a throuple with. a delicateness i never expected honestly. they did that real well all things considered#anyway. black sails is a good show w plmms as far as the eye can see#i would recommend looking up like cws (or i can try to give u some off the top of my head if u ask ! just cant remember everything)#it does have a lot of. The THING about one piece and one piece fic is that if the characters are sitting down having honest conversations about their feelings I'm like 'eh its kinda ooc' which is an absolutely hilarious problem to have
one of my fav things abt shaggy from Scooby Doo is that he is a skilled ventriloquist. He's really good at throwing his voice to make other things sound like they're talking, and also he has a talking dog that's unrelated to that
#rando thoughtz#it would be rlly funny if he's been voice acting his dog this entire time#but its even funnier if these have no relation to each other. he just has a talking dog thats it#no explanation why. no logical reasoning#(besides mystery inc which explained hes a descendant of a cosmic god or whatever but thats canon only in that show not overall)#i had a friend joke that shaggy learned it for a bit but now nobody believes him when he says his dog can talk for real#which is also rlly good#do many different opportunities for comedy with canon shaggy ventriloquist#which is only a thing bc casey kasem was super talented & could also throw his voice#much like how they made shaggy vegetarian bc casey was also vegetarian#ok one more shaggy fact i rlly like since im on a roll here#shaggy has an extensive collection of belt buckles & wears a different buckle each episode.#it just so happens they're always covered up by his shirt#sorry sorry i just love scooby doo. like unironically. its one of my interests akshdkjflfjfkf#ppl dont realize this sometimes i knew someone who was like ''i didnt know u were This Into scooby doo i thought u just causally liked it''#like no i didnt watch every direct to dvd scooby doo movie in existence for me to come out the other side normal about this cartoon#anyway this was prompted bc im dressing as shaggy for Halloween. again#its an easy costume & wont give me trouble to wear it on campus#i just gotta have my scooby plush with me to complete the costume#though this time im also wearing a hoodie around my waist + a mask that both have scooby on them#i think shaggy could be the kind of guy to wear merch of his own dog
