The smoke from the bonfire is stinging your eyes, ash sticking to the strands of your hair. Orange embers burn rapidly, dry wood being occasionally thrown on top by drunk boys with red cups in their hands.
The music is way too loud for a forest party, but no one seems to care. Someone’s haphazardly strung lights between the trees, creating a surprisingly cosy ambience. The atmosphere is alive, charged with the electricity of being out later than curfew.
“M’lady!”
You laugh, accepting the drink from Eddie’s outstretched hand.
“Thank you, kind sir,” you say as you curtsy sarcastically, making both of you laugh harder. “Hey, you didn’t bump into Steve on your way over here, did you? I haven’t seen him for like an hour.”
The curly haired boy kicks the toe of your sneaker with his.
“Saw him with that Clara girl, talking by the lake.”
You take a steadying breath, pretending it doesn’t bother you in the slightest.
“You should go and check if he needs rescuing,” Eddie jokes. “God knows she can talk for hours without coming up for air.”
You smile at him, pulling at one of his curls.
“Good idea. Just in case.”
“Just in case,” he winks, pushing you in the right direction.
You saunter down towards the water, spotting your best friend instantly. He’s stood with his arms across his chest, weight on one hip as he tries to listen to whatever Clara has to say. The minute he sees you, his posture is straightening, lips quirking up at the corners.
Clara turns around to see what Steve is looking at, her face falling when she recognises you.
“Hi. I don’t mean to interrupt! Just wanted to check if you needed another drink, Stevie.”
The boy grins, beckoning you closer with a nod of his head. When you’re near enough, he leans down and presses a sweet kiss to your lips, all affectionate and tender.
Oh.
You don’t do that.
The two of you have kept your romance completely behind closed doors, up until now. It hasn’t got a name, never mind a label, and you don’t need people asking questions when you don’t even know the answers yourself.
You could blame it on the alcohol, but you know Steve’s on his first drink. With your head spinning, you look up at him as if he is the sun and all things warm. He looks down at you the exact same way.
“I’m gonna go see where my friends are,” Clara says a little too loudly, strutting away with as much confidence as she can muster.
You have a sudden feeling that you’re the villain in her story, but you’re not entirely sure why.
“How many drinks have you had?” Steve asks as he pulls a strand of hair away from your face.
“This is my second. I was nursing my first one, Eddie says.”
The boy laughs, and you grab onto his bicep for support. The sound of it is enough to buckle your knees.
“This is my first. It’s not doing much for me.”
“You want something different? I’m sure Robin has that beer you like in her bag.”
“Nah, I’m okay. Don’t think I’m gonna drink any more tonight.”
Steve slips his hands into the back pockets of your jeans, pulling you in closer and keeping them there.
“You sure?”
“I’m sure.”
“Okay,” you whisper.
“Okay,” he whispers back.
And then he kisses you. Again. It’s slow and careful and so romantic that you think you might start crying about it.
“What time is it?” he asks when he pulls away as if nothing happened.
“Eleven thirty.”
“You wanna stay a bit longer?”
“Not if you don’t.”
Steve presses his lips to your forehead, hands cradling your cheeks.
“I kinda wanna go home.”
You smile at him, all soft and sweet.
“Then let’s go home. I’m getting a little cold, anyway. And I didn’t bring a jacket.”
“Will you ever learn?” he laughs, slinging an arm around your shoulders.
“If it means I have to stop wearing your jackets that I know you bring to parties just for me? No, I won’t.”
You weren’t supposed to say that out loud, but the way Steve chuckles soothes the sting of the accidental wound.
“Let’s go home, Cherry Baby.”
Home. The assumption that the two of you will always be returning to the same place makes your heart so full, you wonder how it doesn’t spill over.
✵  ✵    · ✵    *  · ✵
“You good?”
“Feet hurt.”
This happens every single time the two of you go to a party, so you feel as if you’re reliving a memory.
“Hop on.”
“Steve-”
“Cherry. Come on. We’ll get home quicker this way.”
You can’t argue with that. Steve crouches as you jump onto his back, his hands wrapping around your thighs to keep you steady. You wrap your arms around his neck from behind, resting your head on top of his.
“Comfy back there?”
You hum, the noise of agreement enough for Steve to start walking.
The two of you chat each others ears off on the way home, talking about nothing and everything. You laugh so hard at something he says that you end up with a mouthful of his hair, which he in turn finds hilarious.
“Have you thought any more about what I said the other day?”
“You say a lot of things, Steven.”
He chuckles, shaking his head and giving your thighs a squeeze.
“About college.”
You go quiet for a moment, and Steve wonders if he’s chosen the wrong time to have this conversation.
“I’ve been thinking about it.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“Let’s talk about it later, okay? When I’m not constantly worried I’m gonna accidentally trip and kill you.”
You nod, and he feels it. You know it needs to be a discussion sometime soon, but perhaps having it when you’re being carried down the street on your best friends back isn’t all that practical.
“Love you,” you mumble into the crook of Steve’s neck.
He shudders a little at your lips on his skin, leaning his head sideways to rest against yours.
“Love you, Cherry Pie. More than anything.”
You let Steve piggyback you all the way to his front door. Neither of you say anything else. Neither of you feel the need to.
✵  ✵    · ✵    *  · ✵
Steve bumps his hip into yours as you both brush your teeth, laughing at your shocked reflection in the mirror.
“Are you okay?” you ask as you place your toothbrush back in its holder, right next to his.
“Yeah, I’m good.”
“You sure?”
You hop up on the bathroom counter, sitting up so you’re eye to eye with the boy in front of you. He takes a step forward, standing between your legs as he splays his cold hands over your thighs.
“Why’d you ask?”
You trace over his fingers where they rest on your skin, quiet for a moment.
“You seemed pretty eager to go home tonight. It’s unlike you. You love a party. Leaving at eleven thirty is like… unheard of, for King Steve.”
“King Steve would rather be at home with you than at a party with all those people.”
“Really?”
“Really. Clara was going on about something or other, the music was too loud, and I could feel the chill coming in. It hit me, all of a sudden, that I’d rather be in bed. Or, anywhere else, as long as I was with you.”
You lean forward to rest your head against his chest, sighing when he starts playing with your hair gently.
“You’re a softie,” you mumble into his shirt. “And a mind reader.”
“It’s my one talent,” he chuckles. “I wish reading your mind was a college major. I’d be the best in the world.”
You shake your head, laughing like you can’t help it.
“If I don’t move soon, I’m gonna fall asleep on this bathroom counter.”
“Want me to carry you?”
“Contrary to popular belief,” you tease as you hop down, “my legs actually do work.”
Steve gasps, all theatrical and exaggerated, which only makes you laugh harder.
“Come on, sleepy girl. Let’s go to bed.”
✵  ✵    · ✵    *  · ✵
“We’re not talking about stuff.”
You whisper it into the darkness, the trees rustling outside Steve’s window serving as the only sound you can hear.
“Hmm?”
Your legs are tangled with his, tired head resting on the boys shoulder as your sides are pressed together. You’re both lying on your backs, staring at the ceiling.
“We keep saying we’ll talk about stuff, but we haven’t been. It’s not like us.”
“You mean, like, feelings?”
“Yeah.”
All that can be heard now is two sets of heaving lungs. Steve’s hand finds yours under the duvet, fingers intertwining.
“Is there something specific that’s bothering you?”
“Not bothering me as such. I just… I think the more we don’t talk, the more complicated things become.”
There’s silence for a moment, before Steve speaks.
“I’m scared, Cherry.”
The tone of his voice is paper thin and vulnerable, and you will yourself not to cry about it.
“Of what, Stevie?”
You squeeze his hand, tucking yourself further into his side until there isn’t an inch of space between you.
“Of… everything changing. You’re my best friend in the entire world, and I know that what we’ve been doing isn’t typical… best friend stuff. I just…” he takes a deep breath, exhaling carefully. “I worry that something will happen and we’ll break up, and I’ll lose you forever.”
His voice cracks on the last word, fear seeping through his pores. Yet, he continues.
“I’d die without you, Cherry. I really would. I don’t know what it’s like to live in a world where we’re not… us.”
You turn onto your side to face him in the dark, reaching up to cradle his cheek softly. You rest your forehead against his temple, pressing a kiss into his skin.
“I’m scared too. I have been ever since that first night in my room. Not because I don’t trust you, or because I don’t feel that way about you… but because I don’t want to lose you either. More than anything, I don’t want to lose you.”
“Why didn’t we talk about this sooner?” he laughs, throat thick with emotion.
“Because we’re us. And whether we talk or don’t talk, we know we’ll figure it out. We always know we’ll be okay.”
“I love you,” he whispers into the dark. “More than all the stars in the sky.”
“I love you,” you whisper back. “More than all the grains of sand on all the beaches in the world.”
You press another kiss into his temple, letting your lips linger on his soft skin. He smells so familiar, so warm, so yours… you can’t help but inhale, chuckling when he shudders.
You continue to leave kisses across his jaw, over his ear, down his neck. He tilts his head to give you better access, groaning when you nip at his throat with your teeth, licking over the scrape to soothe him.
Steve pulls you in as if you weigh nothing, moving you so you’re lying on top of him. You sit up, straddling his lap, as he does the same so you’re chest to chest. Running his hands under your shirt and over the bare skin of your back, he rests his forehead against yours.
“You look so pretty like this,” he hums against your lips. “Prettiest girl in the world.”
“You wanna talk about pretty?” you tease, running your fingers through his hair. “My pretty, pretty boy.”
Steve’s hips buck up into yours, making you giggle.
“Oh, you like that? You like it when I call you pretty? Or do you just like it when I call you mine?”
His hips buck again as his cheeks flush pink.
“I am yours,” he murmurs. “Always have been.”
You thought you had the upper hand for a minute, but now you just want to cry. You’re overwhelmed by the way you feel about the boy underneath you, unsure of how to process it without bursting into tears.
“All mine,” you whisper, tracing the features of his face with your fingertip.
Steve takes a deep breath, watching your eyes as they look over him again and again, taking him in as if it’s the first time. He decides it’s now or never.
“Cherry?”
“Stevie?”
Your voices are low and careful, irregardless of the fact that you’re alone in the house.
“I’m in love with you.”
Your heart stops, and so does the world outside. Everything pauses, the two of you suspended in this moment in time.
Steve takes another breath, exhaling it carefully before meeting your eyes and continuing.
“You don’t have to say it back. Now, or ever. I just - I needed you to know.”
You blink back tears as you watch his face, biting your lip to stop them from falling.
“Steve-”
“Hey, I told you. You don’t have to say anything, babe. I know-”
“Shut up.”
“What?”
“Just-”
You surge forward and kiss him with all the affection you can muster, trying to express your feelings. You grip his hair, plastering your bodies together where you sit in his lap still. He wraps his arms around you, pulling you in as close as he can.
“If you let me talk,” you say when you pull away, all breathless, “you’d hear that I have something I’d like to say.”
Steve smiles, humming in acknowledgment and encouraging you to keep going.
“I’m in love with you, too.”
The boy looks shocked to hear it, as if it’s news to him.
“What’s that face for?” you laugh.
“I just… I didn’t expect you to say it back.”
“Steve,” you chuckle, looking at him sternly. When you realise he’s being serious, you double down. “I’ve been in love with you for as long as I can remember. When we were kids, and someone would say the word ‘husband’, I always pictured you. I was so convinced it was always going to end up being you and I.”
“Why… why didn’t you say anything sooner?”
“Why didn’t you?”
He laughs, and the sound makes you feel as if you’re on cloud nine. You can feel his heartbeat where his chest is pressed to yours, frantic like he’s just ran a marathon.
“Fuck, I love you.”
He leans up to kiss you, all saccharine and honey sweet.
“Say it again,” you whisper against his lips.
“I’m in love with you, Cherry.”
“Say it again.”
“I, Steve Harrington, declare that I am completely, utterly, ridiculously in love with this girl right here. I always have been. I always will be.”
You can’t help but throw your head back with laughter.
“And I love you. So much.”
The words you’ve always said mean so much more now. It’s a welcome change, one you never thought you’d see happen.
“Hey Steve?”
“Hmm?”
You lean in, nosing at his jaw as you murmur into his ear.
“Want you. So bad.”
“Fuck, honey,” he groans, all low and rough.
“Please. Want it to be you.”
Looking up at you with big eyes, he searches your face for any kind of hesitation.
“Are you sure?”
Smoothing his hair away from his face, you trace your thumb over his bottom lip.
“I’ve never been so sure of anything.”
“Okay.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah,” he grins. “I’m about to rock your world, Cherry Blossom.”

CLANDESTINE PARING: suna rintarō x fem!reader TAGS: smut, best friends brother trope WORD COUNT: 5k
Tumblr media
If there’s one thing about the end of exams and upcoming – high school – graduation, is the plethora of parties that follow. Call it what you want; schoolies, freedom, and an amazing – yet awful – experience full of drinking, hangovers, or the flu.
At this moment, you’ve been crashing at the one and only Niki Suna’s home. Your best friend, and number one party animal who has a killer house in the centre of all the house parties being thrown by, now, old classmates.
It has been incredible, her parents aren’t home which gives the two of you the freedom to leave every night and come back after midnight without any questions or secrecy. The only issue is that her twenty-year-old brother is home.
Rintaro is not a big problem, he keeps to himself, never leaves his room. He’s only in the country for his sister's graduation, free food, and the fact that he doesn’t have to do his own laundry. Plus, it’s a free vacation.
Although, the times he does come out of his room, you can’t help but feel awkward around him. The last he saw of you was two years ago, when you were sixteen – an age that wasn’t sweet at all. Despite the short time span, a lot can change in two years, you’re evidence of that statement.
You’ve grown into your face, matured, and don't look as young anymore. You’ve gotten more confident with yourself, your body, and it all reflects in the clothes you wear. You speak with a certain command and authority, you walk with a grown confidence, and radiate an aura of gold.
Who knew that the girl that he knew would morph and change into a completely different person in the span of two years? No one can blame him for keeping a fixed gaze on you whenever you pass by, it’s admirable to see the person you’ve become.
However, it doesn’t matter how much self-confidence you’ve built up over the last two years. Around him, around his sharp stare and gaze, it’s hard to keep your head up or find the will to get up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water out of the anxiousness that he’ll be there too.
Which brings you and Niki to now. Friday night, one thirty in the morning, the two of you are walking through the front door. You have managed to sober up from that mysterious, sweet, and addictive, rum punch concoction that you’ve had one too many glasses of.
You cannot say the same for Niki, who had spent the night downing one too many shots and has yet to ride out the alcohol. Nevertheless, she’s still able to walk on two feet and not stumble into every coffee table or shelf stacked with family photos.
“Oh my god,” Niki laughs, kicking off her shoes by the door. “I kept my mouth shut about this at the party, but fuck what was Rina thinking going for Jennie’s man?” She scoffs, “We need to debrief in my room.”
“Girl, I’ve got so much to fucking say about Rina.” You add, forcefully removing your shoes, “Like, I was talking to Jasmine earlier on the balcony and god has Rina been pissing a lot of people off recently.”
“Tell me about it,” Niki rolls her eyes, starting to walk up the steps with you following behind her. “Like, she was fucking wilding out tonight.” She mutters, pushing open her room door – revealing the mess created from getting ready – and collapsing onto her bed.
You, however, reach into your bag for the little toiletries pack, wanting to get all the makeup off your face and make sure no future breakouts happen. Skin care is a priority. And head towards the ensuite bathroom, “And she didn’t even know what she was doing.” You say.
“Me personally,” Niki hums, “if I was Jennie, I would’ve swung on that bitch.”
“That’s so fucking valid though,” you nod, pulling out a micellar wipe before dragging it over your eyes. “Like, what the fuck are you doing? Get away from my man, if it’s like, you know I’m into him, we’ve hooked up multiple times before, what are you doing?”
“Literally!” Niki exclaims, “We’re supposed to be friends! Why are you cuddling next to him on the couch?” She questions, shaking her head at the awful events that transpired throughout the night. “But! Don’t think I didn’t see you and Atsumu earlier.”
“What about me and Atsumu?” You question, poking your head through the open bathroom door – still scrubbing away the mascara from your eyes. “Bro, Helen even asked me about that! She was like: when did you and Atsumu get so close?”
“Did you do anything?” Niki asks, sitting up from the bed. “I know you have tendencies to get with people then not tell me!” She laughs, “Who was it again? There was Mattsun, and then his best friends? You have a tendency to go for the whole group.”
“No, no, I did not do anything with anyone tonight.” You reply, “I mean, I wanted to… don’t get me wrong, but I had a feeling no one was down.”
“Ugh, boo!” She groans, “Shit, okay, I need to change.” Niki thinks aloud, standing up from the mattress, “God, I’m so fucking ready to knock out and have the best fucking sleep of my life.”
Your best friend opens up her closet, digging out a big t-shirt and shorts. “God, I need some fucking water.” You mumble, tossing the dirty makeup wipes into the bin, “I peed like five times at the party.”
“What does that have to do with anything?” Niki snorts, slipping through that big t-shirt of hers.
“Dehydration is the biggest cause of hangover headaches,” you inform. “We’ve got two more parties coming up, and I’d like to be in good shape for the next forty-eight hours of ragers.” You exit the bathroom, then dig into your bag to change into pyjamas.
Simple. Shorts and a tank. You walk back into the bathroom, half closing the door as you get changed. “Okay, so go downstairs and get water.” Niki says, stating the obvious.
“Can you come with me?” You ask from the bathroom.
“What? No, go by yourself.” She says, “You’ve been here a billion times before, my parents see you more than they see me. This is practically your second home, why do you need me to come with you?”
You adjust your tank top before stepping out into the bedroom, “Niki! Your brother is downstairs, I don’t want to go down there alone.” You plead, “If it was just us, or your mother, then yeah, I wouldn’t mind.”
“Girl,” your best friend looks at you as if you’re crazy. “It’s Rintaro, he probably won’t even clock that you’re down there. He’s not the brightest in the bunch, he’s studying business.”
“Yeah, but like, can you just… please?”
“You’ll be fine! He’s just Rintaro, and he’s probably high as fuck.” She assures, “He’s probably too stoned to care.”
“I can’t believe you’re doing this to me.” You dramatically sigh, trudging towards the closed bedroom door. “I feel so betrayed right now.”
“You’re so dramatic,” Niki laughs. “Hey, and since you’re going down there, get the big water bottles from the fridge and get those crab or prawn crackers from the pantry.” She adds, finding a perfect opportunity to stuff her face with snacks.
Although, Niki is underestimating how tired she really is, because the second she gets comfortable in bed – she will be out like a light. Niki has always been a quick sleeper, she claims it’s iron deficiency.
“Yeah, yeah, alright.” You wave her off, mentally preparing yourself as you walk down those steps.
As you navigate towards the kitchen, there’s music playing quietly from the TV in the dark living room. Rap, hip-hop, 21 Savage. And no doubt, there’s Rintaro sitting on the couch, a weed pen between his lips as he sprawled out on the couch, the dim light from his laptop casting shadows on his face.
Lord knows what overdue assignment he’s working on, or how he can possibly be in the right state of mind to write a 2,800 word essay before the – extensions – deadline.
Still, he lays on the couch, inhaling that condensed form of THC. Wearing sweats and a flannel that has been – purposely – unbuttoned. The way he sees it, is if you can wear those little black shorts with the white rims, he can unbutton his flannel.
Now, never in a million years did he think he’d find himself attracted to you. It’s not meant to be an insult, but after watching you go through the most unflattering, awkward, phases and being his little sister's best friend… this new change, of seeing who you are now hit him like a pile of bricks.
Besides it’s not fair to see you parade around in those clothes, unknowingly teasing him. The past couple days have been hell, a game of look but never touch. You’ve been connected at the hip with Niki, you’ve been avoiding him.
Talking loudly about these random guys who looked ‘so fit’ at whatever party. Yeah, he’s heard those late night conversations you’ve been having. Niki doesn’t know how to close a door, and the walls are quite thin.
Rintaro just wants a little fun, he wants to poke the bear, he wants to mess with you. Nothing serious. Just something to keep him entertained, being home has been extremely boring, and the last thing he wants to do is hang around a bunch of high schoolers at parties.
His eyes glance up from his laptop screen, watching you like a fox, as you walk into the kitchen. He watches you as you grab that litre water bottle from the fridge, then dig into the pantry for those god awful prawn crackers.
Rintaro gets up from the couch and approaches you. This is his chance, his chance to have a little fun, to get into your head with some sadistic ploy that will now doubt keep you up at night. Nothing more than a little flirty comment.
“Fun night?” He hums, catching you off guard as you hold the heavily inflated packet to your chest. “It seems like you and Niki are out every day, how many parties could there possibly be?”
“You should know, you went through the same thing.” You comment, calmly, nonchalantly. You can’t let him see that he gets to you in a way no one else does.
Rintaro is the type of guy who is attractive and knows it. He’s cocky, and until now, barely gave you the time of day – or looked at you the way he’s doing now. It’s obvious, it’s in his eyes, one of the main reasons you’ve been avoiding him.
He’s giving you the look that you’re no stranger to.
You know what he’s doing, and lord knows you’ve played these exact same games in the last couple months. Nevertheless, that doesn’t excuse the pick up of your heart, or the slight shake in your hands as you talk to him. Rintaro is a tall guy, he’s intimidating, and on top of it all, crazy attractive.
Anybody would be nervous.
Even you, with your big mouth and presented confidence.
“But yeah, it was a good night.” You add, walking over to the counter to grab the bottle of water. You can’t be gone for long, that would only raise questions from the very best friend who is waiting upstairs for her snacks.
Or so you think, at this moment, Niki is knocked out on her bed – late night scrolling on socials instantly sent her to sleep – as what was previously mentioned, Niki underestimated how tired she was.
“Anything interesting happen?” Rintaro asks, resting back against the countertop. “From what I heard Rina is about to get shunned from the friend group,” he teases.
“Well, she wouldn’t have to worry about that if she had backed off.” You reply, “Never go for a friend's man, that’s claimed territory.”
“What about brothers?” He muses, “Are they off limits too?”
You have to stop yourself from rolling your eyes, that was corny. “Yeah, I’d say they are.” You nod, fighting back the temptation to playfully flirt back. “It’s worse if this brother is someone you’ve known since you were thirteen.” You shrug.
“Well, if I could plead the case that the brother probably didn’t want to push any boundaries before, and didn’t see the sister's friend as a proper… prospect.” He says, “Besides, no fifteen-year-old would ever consider looking at someone younger. That’s weird.”
“How is it different now?” You question, “It’s still two years.”
“Eighteen is an appropriate age for a respectable gap of that size,” Rintaro hums. “It’s not like I’ll be playing on an illegal field either.”
“‘I’ll’?” You repeat, “What are you implying Rintaro?”
There you go, you’ve caught him. May as well surrender and stop whatever he’s planning. A real shame though, you’d be lying if you say you’ve never considered or thought about what it’d be like. It’s just that, he’s your best friend's brother.
Sure, the song is a good escape and great material to think about, but it’s not something you actually ever considered pursuing. He makes you nervous, even talking to him now feels like a crime. And the fact that you’re flirting doesn’t make the situation any better.
“I’m not implying anything,” he shrugs. “And I don’t know what possibly drew you to that conclusion,” he says. “Are you implying something?”
“Well, I don’t see any reason for something to be implied.” You shake your head, “All I’m wondering is why you brought up the concept of brothers being off limits, as if anything like that has stopped you before.”
“Oh, wow, you’ve got a sharp tongue.” Rintaro remarks, “Flirting with me, and patronising me at the same time. I have to say, I’m impressed.”
“That’s nice, but I should get back to Niki.” You say, “You know, your sister, my best friend, who is currently upstairs.”
“Oh, come on, you and I both know that she’d probably be knocked out in bed.” He comments, “Stay down here for a while, I could use the company.”
“I know what you’re doing, Rintaro.” You inform, “I see it in your eyes, and it’s not going to happen.”
He’s been looking at you as if you’re prey. And the alcohol still in your system makes it a lot easier to talk to him without stuttering over your words or getting flustered. His stare is probably the worst part about this whole interaction.
“What am I doing?” He asks.
He’s failed to realise that it’s hard to play a player. If you were considering flirting back, it’d be sly. The small hand placements, comments, the simplest of looks that would trap him in. You have your system, and it works. It worked for Matsukawa and all his friends.
And it would have worked on Rintaro.
“You know what you’re doing,” you hum. “Now, I will be heading back upstairs. Lord knows I’m not drunk enough to betray my best friend.”
“And I’m not high enough to not care about the consequences,” Rintaro shrugs. “Doesn’t mean I still don’t want to do it.” He takes a step closer to you, grabbing the items in your hand and places them down on the countertop.
“You cannot be serious right now,” you shake your head. Sure, you knew that he was trying to play you, use you for a little entertainment, but you didn’t actually think he was being serious. You didn’t actually think he’d make a move.
And no, he’s not expecting anything to happen or to come from this. He’s pushing his limits, seeing how far he can get until you end up running off. If anything, what’s persuaded him to be so forward is the sight of that little gummy bear charm hanging from your necklace. That stupid pink charm that you and Niki got as a symbol of your friendship or whatever.
That stupid pink charm that dips down to the crevice of your chest – something he hasn’t seen before, considering, in the past, they’d always be hidden behind a hoodie or some unflattering t-shirt.
“I’m being serious,” he hums. Going along with some bit he’s come up with in his head. His fingers wrap around that little pink gummy bear as he plays with it.
“Don’t do that, don’t even try Rintaro.” You shut him down, looking up into those striking pair of eyes, “Niki is upstairs. What would she think if she came down here and saw this?” You question, swatting his hand away.
Curse your fucking loyalty.
Rintaro rolls his eyes, placing his hands on either side of you on the counter, trapping you between his arms. “Niki this, and Niki that. She’s not down here, is she?” He questions, “What if Niki wasn’t a problem? Because, it seems like your only defence here is that she’s upstairs.”
“That’s because she is,” you say. “I can’t possibly encourage this type of… behaviour with you. You’re her brother.”
“What if I wasn’t?” He hums, “Would you change your mind then?”
“Will you let me go if I tell you?” You ask, wanting to get out of this situation before anything bad happens.
“Yeah, I will.”
You sigh, meeting his gaze. And the sight of looking down at you, the flash of darkness in your eyes, it all sends Suna off a ledge. This must be what happens when he pokes the bear. There’s something behind your eyes, something that fucking pulls him in. That has him thinking this isn’t a joke, or a game anymore.
“If you weren’t my best friend's brother, then yes, I would change my mind.” You reply truthfully, “Honestly, if I were drunk enough, or bold enough, I would change my mind. I’d even risk saying that if Niki weren’t upstairs right now, I’d change my mind.”
“She doesn’t have to know,” Rintaro hums. “It’ll be a temporary fix, nothing serious. No one has to know.” He composes himself, trying to steer the conversation back to his control. He can’t show weakness.
He can’t show how much he wants it now.
“As much as I love temporary fixes,” you begin, “and the idea of sneaking around… I don’t think it’s the best idea.” Now you’re teasing him, running your hands down his flannel. He can’t poke the bear and not expect to get bitten.
You know you shouldn’t be doing this, you know you’ve been so back and forth, but you can’t help but find some fun in this situation. It’ll be like one prolonged drum roll, an ellipsis, something which implies more but is never finished or reveals an ending.
“Well sometimes we have to be selfish,” he whispers. The tension building up in his veins, blood, and mind. “And the best ideas aren’t always the smartest.” His hand moves to play with the ends of your shorts, the faint linger of his touch brushing against your thigh, up to your hips to the hem of your shorts.
“I shouldn’t.” Correction, you shouldn’t be the one to make the first move. If he wants this, he will make the first move – despite everything which was just said, you won’t stop him. There’s something electrifying about the light touches, the tension you helped escalate.
He wanted to play a game, and a game is what you’re giving him.
“You shouldn’t, but you can.” Rintaro mumbles, unbeknownst to the fact that you’ve managed to have him wrapped around your finger in a matter of seconds – of playing dumb – due to the simple trick of making him feel wanted.
“Lord knows I can, but what about Niki?”
“She can go fuck herself.” He says, immediately connecting his lips with yours in a heated kiss.
Kissing Rintaro is nothing like you’ve experienced, kissing him is like daring to run over knives or fire, it’s a rush of adrenaline caused by a strike of lightning. Kissing him is like knowing you’re doing something bad, but it’s too addictive to pull away. His eyes close, hands firmly placing themselves on your hips.
Rintaro pulls you closer to him, your hands tangling themselves in his hair. He gives in, kissing you with a growing desperation, arms snaking around your waist. Mouths linking together in a mess, tongue slipping past.
He can taste the remnants of alcohol on your tongue, and you can smell the weed that has attached itself onto his clothes.
He’s deep and urgent, pushed by the forces and temptation of a quick temporary fix, an illicit affair, and clandestine meeting. His hands travel down to your ass, underneath your shorts, holding the flesh in his hands.
His touch lingers down to your thighs, Rintaro lifts you up onto the counter. Your hands run down his bare chest, and he shudders at your touch. Cold fingertips trailing down his body, to then pull at the drawstrings of his sweats.
You know you shouldn’t be doing this. You know that Niki could come downstairs at any moment and see the position you’re currently in; legs wrapped around her older brother, his hands exploring his body, learning every curve and crevice. Entangled together, connected by a messy kiss fueled by boredom, and frustration.
Out of breath and completely intoxicated by the moment. Suna’s hand travels up, tugging down the tank top. Exposed to him, the chill of the night in the cold. He moves down, kissing your neck, throat, and the slope of your shoulders. Lips attaching themselves onto your chest, tongue placed flat against your nipple.
His breaths come in harder, faster. Your hands threaded in his hair, clinging to him in this ice-cold heat you’ve been placed in. Pulling at the roots, bringing him back up to your lips. Suna’s hand replaces his mouth, beginning to knead the flesh.
“We shouldn’t be doing this,” you breathe out. He’s moving away from your lips, moving down to nibble and bite at the sensitive skin on your neck and jaw.
“But it feels good doesn’t it?” Rintaro hums against your neck, holding your body against his chest, trying to devour every piece of you he can. Loving the way you shudder at his touch, and the shortness of your breath. “I know you want me, because god knows, I want you. It’s only one night princess.”
He returns to hover over you, head tilted down as he uses his thumb and index finger to bring your chin up. Looking down at you with a sinful glint in his eyes, grinning at you like the devil. Almost obsessed with the seemingly innocent, wide eyed look in your eyes, slightly parted lips.
His thumb drags down your bottom lip, continuing to tilt your head up at him, keeping your gaze in place. “Come on, one night is not bad. Nothing is wrong with a little quick fix.”
“Well, I’d rather not risk my morals, and integrity for something quick.”
A flame ignites behind those eyes, a quirk of his eyebrow. “Whatever you say,” he says. Rintaro hoists you off the counter, your legs wrapped around his torso, as he carries you towards the couches. He throws you down onto the cushions, wraps his fingers around the bundled up fabric of your tank top and pulls it over your head.
Then he drops down to his knees, in front of you. He tugs down your shorts along with your underwear, leaving you completely exposed on the couches. Rintaro pushes your legs apart, “Keep them open for me.” He smiles, pulling your body closer to his face.
His tongue darts out, lips enveloping themselves around your clit. He uses a free hand aiding the stimulation. He’s devouring your cunt as if he’s never eaten before, as if he’s intoxicated by the feeling of the moment and the sinful act of going down on his younger sister's best friend out in the open on the couch.
Savouring your taste on his tongue, his fingers prodding your entrance.
Your back arches, throwing your head back. Chest rising and falling in shallow breaths, quiet and hushed whimpers escaping from your lips. One hand gripping onto the cushion behind you as the other pulls roughly on his hair. Hips bucking up, obsessed with the insatiable sensation of Rintaro’s tongue on your clit and fingers curling inside you.
Suna hooks your legs over his shoulders, diving deeper into your cunt. Willingly obliging to the fact you’re pushing him closer. At the twitch of your legs, Rintaro quickens his movements, wanting to milk you and push you towards your orgasm.
Whimpers and muffled moans, a strain of fuck, don’t stop, although the most motivating of them all is the pretty sound of his name slipping off your tongue. “Rin,” you say. A fire burning up in your abdomen, as he begins to leave a trail of sloppy kisses from your clit up to your stomach and chest.
In the absence of his tongue, his fingers move quickly against your clit – forceful movements – determined to have you reach your peak. Your hips jolt forward, lost in the haze of pleasure that succumbs you.
Eyes clenched shut and mouth agape, it’s a fucking sinful sight.
Suna reconnects his lips with yours in a sloppy makeout, drowning out your moans and taking them in as his own. A result of his fingers, you’re shivering under him, so needy and desperate. “Go on sweetheart,” he whispers. The pads of his fingers rubbing harshly against your sensitive clit.
Your nails dig into his back, forehead leaning against his shoulder as you feel yourself reach climax. “Fuck, fuck, fuck,” breathing out, your body growing weak under his touch. Mind spinning from pleasure.
Strained whines, legs pushed back as he milks out your orgasm. Rintaro hovers over you, impressed by his own work and your finger and tongue fucked expression. He runs another finger through your folds, lapping up the cum and saliva.
Using his free hand, Suna grips the back of your head, tugging harshly at the roots of your hair as he forces you to look at him. Then forces his fingers past your lips and onto your tongue, “Suck.” He instructs. Reluctantly, your lips wrap around his fingers as he slowly pulls them from your mouth.
There you are, tired eyes, and completely vulnerable and exposed underneath hin. But the little smirk that appears on your lips. You sit up, pushing him back against the couch. Cocky as ever, Suna sits back, memorising the beautiful sight in front of him.
He watches you with lustful eyes as you work your way down his body, tugging down his sweats. Your hand wrapping around his dick, stroking it, pumping him. Rolling your wrist over the tip, milking out the precum.
“You got a rubber?”
“I’ll pull out,”
You shrug, placing a hand on his shoulders, pushing him down onto the couch and keeping him down. Lining his dick with your entrance, you lower yourself onto him. The sensation, and feeling, of your walls clenching around his dick sends him spiralling.
His head rolls back, hands reaching up to grip at your hips. You roll your hips, finding all the right places for you, and absolutely driving him insane. She begins to lift, setting up a steady rhythm. “Oh, fuck, you little tease.” Suna breathes out.
He has laboured breaths at the irresistible and mind-fucking feeling of you taking him in all so well, your tight little cunt that sends him off the edge. Getting to have you all, without a barrier. The rise and fall of your hips, bouncing on top of him. A hand reaching up to your chest to grab a tit, a thumb running over your nipple.
You grab his wrist and pin it back behind his head, “No touching.”
“We’ll see about that,” he groans. Quickly changing your positions, flipping you around until you're face down on the couch. Suna lifts your hips up, pushing down on your back to create an arch. He keeps a hand on the back of your head. He pushes his dick inside, causing you to intake a sharp breath. “What was that sweetheart?” He teases.
A firm hand placed on the side of your ass, as thrust into you. A quiet “fuck” sounds from his throat as he begins to fist your hair in his hand. He rolls his hips, roughly, forcefully pushing into you. Bottoming out to reach the deepest part of you.
Breath taken away from you, gripping onto the fabric of the couch. Back arching at an insane angle, “Ah,” you moan. He snaps his hips forward again, feeling weak and heavy from the current position, and the consistent thrusts coming from Suna.
His movements become harsher, rougher, as he pounds into you. He pulls your head back by your hair, leans forward until his chest is placed against your back. Suna connects your lips in a roush kiss, biting down on your bottom lip.
Although, he quickly disappears again, lost in the moment. His hands gripping onto your hips as he pulls you to him, matching his thrusts. You begin to lose any ounce of strength left in your body, letting your upper body lay slack on the couch.
Suna lands a slap on your ass, kneading the flesh as he continues to thrust into you from behind. “Oh, fuck,” he groans. “You feel so good,” he hums, “fuck, I want to see your pretty fucked out face.”
He pulls out, flips you around, hoisting your leg over his shoulder. He wraps a hand around your throat, basking in the way you grip onto his wrist. Looking at him with those half-lidded eyes, as he pushes into you. Loving the way your pussy sucks him in, loving the look of his dick moving in and out of your cunt.
He picks up the pace, eyes fixed on your chest and how they bounce given each forceful buck of his pelvis. “Faster,” you whimper, gripping onto his hair. “Fuck me,” you plead.
Suna pounds into you with relentless speed, and under him you’re falling apart. Becoming nothing more than a limp body that had been taken over by an overwhelming amount of stimulation and force. With the growing pit in your loins growing incredibly, the heel of your foot digging into his back. Dark vision growing blurry, mind clouding – blocking any thought or action, temporarily blocking your senses as you started to reach your peak.
Your pussy clenching around his dick, it sends Rintaro off a spiral, and he’s threatening to break. You’re close, so close, and all you need is one last push. His hips slam into you, body filling with pleasure as your orgasm rides out.
Suna quickly pulls out in time, cumming all over your stomach. He crashes down onto you, snaking an arm around your waist as he rests his head onto chest. Your hand brushing his hair, trying to regain your breath.
“So, how long are you going to be in town for?”
“Until graduation, why? Wanna do it again?”
“I’d like to hear those whimpers again.”

request - (@ursuu-la) hihihi idk if you're taking requests, but what if u write something where Spencer and a fem reader are dating and she's pregnant, but she's kinda scared(? or nervous to tell Spencer. And maybe she could tell it to one of the girls of the team to find a way of approaching Reid, but then she gets hurt or something happens to her in a case.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Oh. My. God.”
You turned your attention from the open manila folder to Garcia’s multiple screens, searching each one for something important, “What?”
“Y/n M/n Reid. You’re pregnant?” Garcia spun in her chair with an angry expression while pointing a ringed finger at the main computer screen. It was your medical history - which you allowed her to search so she could experiment with a new hacking technique - but you had forgotten about your recent discovery.
Your hand was clamped over your mouth as you stared in shock and started rambling through your fingers, “Garcia. I swear, nobody knows - I wasn’t keeping this from just you,” you placed your hands on her shoulders when she stood up in disappointment, sending her office chair to collide with the desk, “Spencer doesn’t even know, please Garcia. Don’t tell anyone.”
Your eyes searched hers for a promise or compromise, but instead you got welling tears.
“Garcia?”
“Y/n, your pregnant with a little Reid! This is amazing- How come you haven’t told him? I’ll have a new little nephew or niece! Y/n!” She squealed and took your hands to spin you in a circle in her small office. You immediately felt nauseous and slowed the excited girl, her hair accessories threatening to fall off in her happiness. You held your stomach and whispered,
“No spinning, I’ll throw up.”
She glanced to her computer screens and shut them down immediately, sitting back down and taking a deep breath. “This is great! Right? Please tell me this is great, you’re already 6 weeks pregnant.”
You bit your lip and nodded, “I mean, I think it’s great but..” You lost yourself in thought.
Last year when you and Spencer got married, you had talked about starting a family many times. But every time you both agreed to wait a few more years in order to save up more money and maybe move into a bigger apartment or even a house. This was not what you planned.
Spencer liked having a plan, it was one thing you grew to love. He was organised and, due to his amazing memory, remembered everything, especially everything about you. And though you two had grown so close you were basically one person, this was the only time you had no idea how Spencer would react if he found out your secret.
“I don’t know how to tell Spencer.”
Garcia grinned, but it was quickly wiped away when she noticed a certain figure in the doorway. You spun on your heel, heart attacking your ribs. Luckily, it was not your husband, but your boss. He stood sternly and started, “We’ve got a case, wheels up in 30.”
You nodded and turned back to Garcia, all she did was wave and whisper, “I’ll text you.”
In the plane, you sat next to Spencer in the aisle seat, stomach feeling queasy and phone vibrating non-stop in your back pocket. You pinched the bone between your eyebrows and squinted at the case files that Hotch had quickly gone over. Morgan was spilling some theories, Prentiss backing him up, when Spencer lowered his head and whispered in your ear, “Are you okay? You seem tired.”
You put on a small smile and nodded, the fact that Spencer had noticed something wrong meant that the rest of the team would notice soon too. You raised yourself and squeezed Spencer’s hand that had been in your lap. You murmured a small excuse me to Hotch and excused yourself to the plane’s toilet.
Spencer began to get worried for your health. The past week and a half, you’d been eating less and then more, and then you’d say you felt sick, and then you were full of energy. You cancelled plans, you slept more, and you had started avoiding Spencer. You were getting sick, and distant, and he hated how you wouldn’t let him help you whenever he asked. He furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head slightly, attempting to focus on the profile.
Sat on the toilet, ready to double over into the bathroom sink, you pulled out your phone and scrolled through Garcias texts.
What about a baby onesie with Daddy’s favourite child on it?
What about a candle lit dinner?
What about donuts that spell out ‘I’m Pregnant!’
I’ve seen people purposefully burn bread and wait until their husbands understand, maybe that?
Maybe. But right now, that was not what you wanted to think about. On top of the case and the whole pregnancy situation, your symptoms were becoming harder to conceal.
A whole day of analysis, interrogating, leads and dead ends led you to a one story run down house with broken windows and an overgrown yard. You threw the FBI bullet vest over your shoulders as Spencer approached you with a tight smile. His hair was shorter these days, after he finally let you start cutting it, but nothing could change his attractiveness. His cologne wafted into your senses as he went behind you, tightening your vest and patting your back and waist down to make sure you were at optimal safety.
You could almost imagine he knew you were pregnant.
“Remember, if he’s in there, keep your distance. He’s a big guy but silent, and not all there.” He furrowed his eyebrows as he did a last check over of your vest, belt, and the position of your gun. You smiled and nodded,
“I know, Spence. I’ve been here too.”
He sighed and nodded, placing a small kiss on your cheek as a good luck.
You were married, but there was no guarantee you’d both make it out of any case. Every movement could be your last, and every interaction could be your last together.
Morgan slipped through the door after a man picked the front doors lock, Prentiss behind him and you behind her. After you, followed Hotch and Spencer.
“Clear!” Morgan called from the kitchen. You turned right down a hallway, Prentiss disappearing into a small room on the right and yelling,
“Clear!”
You entered the small bedroom, gun high and steps careful. It was an adults bedroom, maybe a teenager. There was posters of horror movies, a thin mattress on the floor and shelves of books and wooden cupboard holding what you believed to be clothes.
“Clea-“
The wind got knocked out of you, your shoulder colliding with the wall to your left and a sharp handle being jabbed into your side, as you plummeted against the floor and hearing a loud thump and shattering glass beside you. Miniscule, rainbow, dots clouded your vision, the adrenaline and the concussion you were sure you had numbing the pain coursing through your veins. You screamed in pain, Hotch entering almost immediately.
You lifted your right arm to point out the window, the glass shattered from where the unsub had escaped.
Spencer entered the room in a rush, eyes running over the fallen cupboard that would've been taller than the both of you, and then your small body in the corner. You held out your arm for him, and he placed his hands under your armpits, jolting back when you screeched in pain. "Y/n, your..." His eyes widened in shock and fear at the sight of your dislocated shoulder. Your right hand clutched to your left side - no doubt trying to comfort a massive bruise or worse.
He gulped, helping you up and throwing your good arm around his shoulders. The sudden movements blanked your vision for a few moments, a small lump forming on the front left side of your temple, and your legs trembled in the sudden need to hold yourself up. "Y/n, we just need to get you to the ambulance, alright?" Spencer told you reassuringly. He didn't know how much you could understand, your eyes were cloudy and your movements spaghetti-like, but he continued to reassure you anyways.
The paramedics set into action as soon as they saw your near limp body strung across Spencer's taller build. You were placed in the ambulance on a bed and before you knew it, there was a heavy clamp on your finger and two paramedics touching you and saying unexplainable things to each other. A short one with a beard came close to your vision, obvious aware it was still slightly blurred, "Agent Y/n. We need to take your shirt off in order to fix your shoulder okay? We need to pop it back in as quick as we can."
All you could do is nod, Spencer making most of the choices for you as your husband - he wouldn't put you through something he knew you would disagree with. They asked him questions, and while the voices came in and out of focus, the adrenaline was wearing off and suddenly your senses heightened. "Is she pregnant?"
The question rolled off the paramedics tongue like a rehearsed poem, and Spencer shook his head like there was no possible way you were. But as you saw needles being prepared, your heart started pounding so fast it got the attention of the professionals. "Y/n, are you still with us?"
To Spencer, you looked like you had just woken up to a bad dream, but there was something deeper - you were not unconcious, if anything you looked alert.
"I'm pregnant." The paramedics glanced at each other and Spencer's eyes widened. The one with the needle placed it down carefully on a table, and before you knew it, you were being pushed through hallways and into a awfully bright room.
You passed out, fear and exaustion catching up to you. But Spencer couldn't sleep. On top of the fact that his wife had just gotten her shoulder dislocated and then fixed, and a slight rib fracture, she was also pregnant.
Spencer doubted for the first half hour of waiting for you to wake up that you actually were. You were saying nonsense, you were injured and the adrenaline... usually causes people to tell the truth. He paced and went over everything that had been happening. The change in your behaviour, the tiredness, the sickness. It was all coming together like a puzzle, and he wondered why he didn't realise sooner.
"Spence?" A small voice called out, and he approached the hospital bed almost immediately.
"Y/n." Spencer smiled in relief, overjoyed that you were alright and breathing. He knew you'd be fine, but anything can be unpredictable. Anyone can be unpredictable. "I'm so glad you're okay."
"What happened?" You tried to sit up but Spencers soft hands encouraged you to stay laying down.
"The unsub pushed a cabinet at you. You collided with the wall and dislocated your shoulder." He explained softly, the doctors told him that the specific pain killers they gave you may cause some loopiness. "Oh." You whispered, eyes searching his face like you had never seen it before, and you smiled. You were here, and he was here, and you needed nothing more. Other than more pain killers.
Spencer bit his lip, and sighed, not sure if it was the right time to bring the blindside up at that moment.
"Y/n, darling, are you... pregnant?"
The small grin wiped off your face and you took some deep breaths, nodding and avoiding his gaze in fear of rejection. Spencer sighed, and pushed his hair away from his face, a smile rising onto his cheeks. Tears welled in his eyes from happiness. "This is great, this is... wow Y/n, I can't believe.." He gulped, "I can't believe you didn't tell me sooner."
Confusing his disbelief for anger, tears started dropping down your cheeks as you sat in silence. Spencer started to worry, "Do you... not want to have a baby with me? Or at all? Do you think I won't be a good father? I know that I've had my problems in the past but I promise I can be a good father-"
"Spencer." You called his name in shock, heart aching over his insecure questions. "I do want a baby, especially one with you. And I don't think you'll be a good father, I know you'll be a great one. I just," you wiped your cheeks and he sat down in a chair beside your bed, taking your hand in his. "I'm scared. I thought that you wouldn't want to have one right now because of our... plan. This is really early and we didn't get to save- and- I thought you'd be mad-" You had started blubbering now, the heart monitor becoming a ticking time bomb for a full on breakdown, before Spencer took your face in his hands and smashed your lips onto his.
He pulled back, smile wide, eyes full of adoration and sorrowfullness.
"Y/n, I don't care about that plan anymore. And I'm not mad." He searched your eyes with his, "I just wished you told me earlier. Maybe you wouldn't have been injured, because god knows I wouldn't have let you go out into the field."
"Spencer, I'm so sorry." You sniffled, placing your other hand on top of his.
"Oh, darling. You don't have to be sorry. I've made my injured and pregnant wife cry, I should be sorry."
You giggled, and leant forward to kiss him on the nose. "So it's really okay?"
"Of course. You just have to heal quickly, and I'll do all the rest."

23. “Just when I think you couldn’t make me go even weaker in the knees, you go and say stuff like that. Do you want me to collapse? Maybe melt into a puddle too while I’m at it?”
luke with his gf
Prompt: “Just when I think you couldn’t make me go even weaker in the knees, you go and say stuff like that. Do you want me to collapse? Maybe melt into a puddle too while I’m at it?”
Note: i feel like Luke is so hard for me to read that i had to do research before writing this 😂 like Jack and Quinn give off energy and vibes that are easy for me to read, Luke is literally the opposite, so hopefully i did him justice for my first time writing with him
Tumblr media
“Oh my gosh, what a day!”
With a sigh you fell back onto the couch, Luke softly chuckling at you as he unpacked the takeout you’d ordered from your favorite Chinese restaurant.
“Yeah, it was really fun. Can’t wait to see how many hearts break when photos end up online of Jack and his girlfriend out there.”
Joining Luke in the kitchen you searched for your takeout container while he handed you a plate. “Yeah, Jack is gonna be Mr. Heartbreaker for a few days. The girls will get over it I’m sure.”
The two of you taking your food over to the living room, this becoming a routine you’d shared in your relationship for a few months now. Every couple weeks you’d order takeout, trying to be mindful of both of your diets, though Luke’s claims it should be a weekly tradition. The two of you’d sit on the floor around the coffee table and talk for hours while eating dinner.
It was one thing you’d never gotten tired of. Loving the opportunity to enjoy the moments together just the two of you. Always having stories to talk about, especially when Jack and Luke were on the same team. He took every chance to chirp his brother he could.
“Did you see Lazar at family skate today?”
Immediately smiling as you thought back to Lazar on the ice with his wife and son, your heart melting at the thought of it. “Yes, oh my god he is so freaking cute. And Curtis seemed just over the moon getting to share that moment with him.”
Luke nodded as he dragged his fork through his food.
“It sort of makes me excited for the day that I’ll have that, well I mean, we I guess. Not just me.”
Your cheek flushing red at his words, leaving you speechless as he looked away embarrassed. “What??”
He nervously asked as you’d yet to say anything back to him.
“Just when I think you couldn’t make me go even weaker in the knees, you go and say stuff like that. Do you want me to collapse? Maybe melt into a puddle too while I’m at it?”
Luke just smiling as his cheeks grew red. He wasn’t the type to be overly emotional, leaving that role to you. But he’d felt comfortable enough to say what was on his mind.
He be lying if he said he hadn’t thought about the future with you, though only having been together a few years, he felt like it had been your whole lives. And judging by the blush on your cheeks and the smile on your face, it seemed like you weren’t opposed to the idea.
“Well, I don’t know. Just seeing guys have moments like that, can’t help but think about it happening to me you know?”
Nodding your head you couldn’t stop smiling, loving this side of Luke where he wasn’t afraid to be open and honest. Letting his guard down a bit and showing some emotion.
Moving to his side you curled up under his arm, wrapping your arms around him as he offered you a bite of his food.
“I love the idea of us having a moment like that one day.” Tilting your head up you gave him a kiss on the cheek as he smiled. “You, me, and our little girl skating around the ice.”
“Oh, you were thinking girl? Interesting, I thought boy.”
Luke shrugged as he stood up, walking to take the empty food containers to the kitchen.
“Well, looks like we are just gonna have to try for one of each then huh?”
Your eyes going wide as you stared at him, Luke just laughing while he cleaned up. “One of each? Oh my gosh, we don’t even have one kid yet and you’re already talking about multiple?”
Luke smirked at you from behind the door of the fridge as he put away the leftovers, enjoying how flustered the conversation had made you.
“It’s never too early to get started, or at least get some practice!”

you ask him in a whiny voice, please, please you need him right now, and Bi Han presses his lips together, wondering if he should deny you
you were just so needy all the time, but by the gods, you’re so pretty in his lap, lower lip trembling and eyes wide as your hips grind down on him
he relents, leaning down to give you a kiss and cupping the back of your neck to bring you in closer to him, and you let out a little moan at the feeling
your hips never cease their movements, and you just grind down on him, easing him back to full hardness
you bury your hands in his hair, pulling it out of its neat bun and running your fingers through the strands, and you slightly tug on them
it makes Bi Han let out a small grunt, and he parts from your lips to bring them to your exposed neck, sucking dark hickeys along with the fading ones
his teeth nip at the skin, leaving red marks, and you whimper at the feeling and finally slide off his lap and settle on your knees right between his spread legs
your hands quickly rid himself of his pants, having practiced the motion too many times to count, and you lick your lips at the sight of his cock, flushed and leaking pre-cum
bringing your tongue to lick a stripe up the base of his cock to the tip, Bi Han threads his fingers in your hair and tugs at it gently to make you whine
your patience quickly runs out for the teasing, and your lips wrap themselves around the tip
you press your tongue into the slit, lapping at the pre-cum leaking from him, and Bi Han moans at the feeling, telling you that you’re doing so well for him
humming around his cock, you start to bob your head up and down, tongue pressing against the underside of his cock, and you hand pumps at whatever doesn’t fit in your mouth
the sound of your slurps fill the room along with Bi Han’s grunts and your moans around his cock, sending pleasure buzzing through his every sense
there’s also the slight pain that stings along with the pleasure, not having enough time to recover from how you wanted him
but fuck, he could never resist you, could never say no to how your lips press against his skin and how your sweet voice begs for more
his hand pushes your head down further on his cock, and he closes his eyes at how the warmth of your mouth engulfs him
he spares a glance down at you, finding drool dripping down your chin and eyes glazed over in pleasure, and your hand stuck down your pants and rubbing at yourself
Bi Han just moans at your name at the sight and pushes you down even further, listening to the slight whimper you let out as your nose buries itself in the curls at the base
he holds you there, listening to your strained breaths, and once tears start to fall down your cheeks at the lack of oxygen, Bi Han pulls your head off his cock
he listens to your coughs and gasps for air before pushing you down again, and he bites his lip at the feeling of you swallowing around his cock
there’s a knock on the door, and Bi Han’s eyes widen, letting go of your hair to quickly fix anything wrong with his appearance
you go up for air, taking in a few deep breaths, and he clears his throat and tells the person that they may enter
it’s just one of the foot soldiers, and they ask for some more supplies, something about the equipment breaking, Kuai Liang accidentally melting it while practicing
Bi Han nods his head, and his knee bangs against the table loudly when he feels your hand pump at his cock and your tongue swirl around the tip
the soldier asks if he’s okay, and Bi Han coughs and says that he’s fine and if there were any more requests or complaints he had to put in
the foot soldier nods and continues, asking about the new training regiments that Bi Han had put in, and the grandmaster grits his teeth as he listens to the questions
you’re relentless, just teasing and licking at him, fully aware of what you were doing, and your other hand comes up to massage his balls
Bi Han places his fist against his mouth as he listens, trying to stay focused on what the soldier was asking, but it’s hard to concentrate as the pleasure builds and builds within him
his voice is deep, a little strained, as he answers the foot soldier’s questions, talking slowly to answer the intricate questions and to stop himself from moaning your name
the damn foot soldier just nods along and asks a clarifying question just as you take him in your mouth again and bob your head up and down slowly
Bi Han hums in what he hopes is something that sounds natural, and he asks the question as quickly as he can
the foot soldier bows and thanks the grandmaster before leaving, closing the door behind them, and Bi Han finally grips onto your hair again, shoving you down the whole way
it makes you whine around his cock, and it’s all he needs to let out a groan and cum into your mouth, painting your throat white
you gladly swallow all of it, humming at the taste, and he pulls your head up to find you with a dopey smile and your hand retracting from your pants
it seems that you’ve cum as well
you stand up and lean down to kiss him, and he can taste himself as your press your tongue into his mouth
that’s all your do for a moment, holding him closer and kissing him, but then you pull away and lick your lips
and Bi Han knows that you’re not quite satisfied just yet

Sending the randomest shit to a pre-relationship Megumi would be the funniest thing. I mean this would before he even realized he had feelings or that you had feelings for him. The poor guy was clueless. And you thought it was hilarious.
Let’s start this off by saying you and Megumi were close, but so were all of you guys, it was a tight nit circle. But Megumi was just different than the rest. So you spent a lot of time together, and texting when you couldn’t be.
So one night you guys as well as Itadori and Nobara were sitting in Megumi’s dorm (the cleanest), just lounging have some random ass conversations. And a few minutes later Megumi was picking up his phone, seeing a message from you. With a raised brow he looked at the simple blue heart emoji you sent, with the most weirded out face you had ever seen him make. Which in turn caused you to burst out laughing getting a few looks from the other two.
Another encounter of this was when you were training. A lax a daisy school day, sparring with each other and some of the 2nd years. And Megumi looked stunning, sweaty and running his hands through his hair every few seconds had you salivating. This garnered another one of your unfiltered texts, and while you knew what you could and couldn’t get away with, you always teetered on that line.
So a “God Damn” text was sent his way. Course he didn’t see that until a few seconds later where he pulled up the bottom half of his uniform top up to wick away the sweat from his face. His eyes went wide as he gave you a look that you couldn’t quite read, a giggle fallin from your lips.
This had happened so many times Megumi decided to enlist Itadori’s help, confused as to what you were getting at. “Itadori,” his calm voice called out, maybe one of the only times he said his name without being irritated with his fellow classmate. The pink-haired teen’s ears perked up, “Yeah Fushiguro?” He called looking up only for a phone to be shoved in his face. Megumi wasn’t good at asking for help and this was the closest it was gonna get, “Read.”
As Itadori’s eyes filtered over the messages a smirk resonated on his face, “I don’t know man, seems like she’s into ya,” he said with a way too toothy grin. Megumi’s brows furrowed as he shook his head, “Not possible,” he huffed out causing Itadori to snicker, “I’m telling you dude that’s what it is.”
And from that day on Megumi was a little too aware of everything you did around him, the dots connecting in his head. But how did he feel about this? He had no clue, absolutely none.
That’s when he went to Nobara, once again someone he wouldn’t normally go to. “Nobara?” He called out the same way he did Itadori’s name, and her ears perking up the same way. “Oh?” She said with a soft snicker, causing Megumi to roll his eyes. Once the situation was explained Nobara’s brow never stopped being raised, “So?” She grumbled eliciting a groan from Megumi, “How am I supposed to feel?”
She shook her head, a tsk coming from her mouth, “Now cmon on Megumi, you’d be passing up a great chance with em.” His brows raised before shaking his head, “That’s not what I’m asking.” Nobara was now the one groaning, “Look, I can’t tell you how you feel, but I’ve seen the way you look at her.”
And let’s just say Megumi was even more confused when he left that conversation, and it didn’t help when he bumped into you. His face was beet red, one of the only time you had seen him like that. “Everything ok Gumi?” His heart fluttered as he nodded, words caught in his throat. “Wanna hang out?” You tilted your head, his heart fluttered once more as he nodded. You smiled, happy he was gonna hang out with you, and his heart fluttered once more.
Let’s just say Megumi never thought he’d be the guy to be in a relationship. He wouldn’t be the guy to want someone. And never did he ever think he’d be the first to confess. Yet here he was muttering the words out, the same calm and collected voice now just a little more shaky.
And while you were flabbergasted of course you accepted, cause you felt exactly the same.

School Kid Crush
*A/N okay so this is the first thing I've wrote since I was like 18 writing about one direction so I'm sorry if its complete dog shit. I tried and kinda want to make it a series maybe if people actually like it but yeah be easy on me pls*
From the moment that I met Spencer Agnew on my very first day at Smosh as the new Games PA, we instantly clicked. We would spend every lunch together quoting obscure movies or Family Guy. We hung out at each other’s apartments many weekends, me just watching him play video games or forcing him to watch Bridgerton with me. There was something there and I think we all could feel it. Spencer was always the one I could go to geek out about the things I always thought I was being annoying talking about. It was almost like I had met my other half which could only be explained as the most terrifying but best feeling in the world. The whole office knew that there was something there but I might be speaking for myself but I did not want to act on it solely from my own relationship problems and that we were coworkers and did not want to make things so complicated. So for now, we are just good good friends who might just be completely infatuated with each other.
Walking into the Smosh office on Friday morning felt like every other morning on the last day of the week. I didn’t get enough sleep and would rather have been curled up back in my bed asleep but someone has to pay rent. Once I arrived at my desk directly across from Courtney’s, I could see that some sweet angel had placed my dear alani drink right in front of my computer. There was only one person who could have brought that for me and I knew it was Spencer so I took off to the Games pod to thank him dearly.
“Have I ever told you that you are a godsend and have saved my life on multiple occasions?” I say while walking up to Spencer’s desk.
“Well yes but have I ever told you that you are severely overdramatic with your words?” He said as he swiveled around in his chair.
“Alright that’s rude but I’ll let it slide since you brought me a drink sir.” I rolled my eyes and took a seat on the little couch in the small space. The office was pretty quiet this morning which is unusual but I welcomed it. “How long do you think it’s going to take before someone is yelling in here?”
“I say give it about ten minutes when Angela comes in and sees that she has to take care of that baby today” Spencer laughed and almost on cue heard Chanse cackling at Angela.
“Are you going to Courtney and Shayne’s combined bachelor party tonight?” Spencer suddenly looked nervous asking this question which is new for him around me that is.
“Yeah, I was going to head home after work to change then head over to the place, are you going?” I asked, praying and hoping he was going not wanting to miss a chance to hang out with him outside of these four walls of the Smosh office.
“Well seeing as you just said you were going then absolutely I am. Um, can I pick you up and drive you to the party maybe?” There it was again, the nervous look on his face.
“Of course!” I said maybe a little too fast and too enthusiastic, “I mean yeah that would be okay, that way I could have at least one or two drinks while I’m there.” I did not recover from that at all but maybe he won’t notice but seeing that smirk on his face, I am wrong.
“Then I will be there to pick you up at 7:30ish, does that sound okay?” Spencer asked, seeming to be a lot more relaxed now that I said yes.
“Sure! That gives me plenty of time, see you later Spen!” I gave him a small wave and walked back to my desk to get started on my small list of tasks I mentally gave myself to get done before filming started and I had zero free time until 5 p.m. As I walked back to my desk I was brought back to how nervous Spencer was asking me if he could drive me to the party. I mean we carpool sometimes to work and even ride together to function outside of the workplace so this shouldn’t be any different right? Oh god, is this a date? Does he know it’s a date? It can’t be a date when it’s Courtney and Shayne’s day right? I’m spiraling and don’t even notice that I ran right into Tommy.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry I wasn’t paying attention at all!” I stopped to make sure I didn’t cause some huge mess by running into him.
“It’s okay Y/N! You were really deep into thought there love, you doing okay?” Tommy asked with concern written all over his face, I suppose you can tell I was going through it up in my head.
“Uh well not really but I’ll be okay.” We both started walking towards our desks, I hoped to change the subject so I no longer had to think about what’s going on inside my head but Tommy had other ideas.
“Is it Spencer? I can totally fight him if you need me to or I can hide his Kickstarters until he apologizes to you.” Tommy giggled but stopped as soon as he saw how deep red my face had become.
“Wha- How did you know?” You mean to tell me the rest of the office knew how I truly felt about Spencer, shit.
“Oh honey, the man is completely infatuated with you and I also know you’re infatuated with him. I truly thought you guys were already together and just keeping it a secret for personal reasons. You know it’s okay to like him right? I know about the whole relationship problems you’ve had in the past but I don’t think Spencer is like that actually I know he’s not.” Tommy stopped walking to put his hand on my shoulder and gave it a little squeeze.
“Nope, nope, nope. You’re wrong, I know of no such infatuation you speak of Tommy Bowe.” I avoided eye contact the entire time but eventually sighed, “Is it that obvious?”
“Eh, kind of but hey it’s okay to like someone even if you guys work together. You guys have been attached at the hip ever since you started here and I think you might be the same person. I do not think he’s going to ghost you like every other piece of shit man who has entered your life.” Tommy knew more than maybe anyone about how much self doubt I have put on myself from constantly just men stopping talking to me out of nowhere. It didn’t matter if he said he was different, none of them were. They all were the same.
“I know he is a good person Tommy but I’m not sure I could deal with losing him as a friend and even worse I would have to see him every single day at work. I promise I’m just in my head a little bit, I’ll be okay.” I gave my most convincing smile and headed to my computer to start on my work for the day.
The work day honestly flew by without any more emotional spirals even at lunch when I could see Tommy giving me those knowing looks from across the table anytime Spencer did anything remotely nice for me. I left the office the minute it hit 5 p.m. just wanting to get out of there, I didn’t even wait for Spencer to walk with him in the parking lot. I needed to get to the comfort of my apartment and be alone before I had a full blown panic attack, not to mention I needed to get ready for this party. I made it home in record time with just enough time to get ready and sit in silence and think about what I should do. I decided to say screw it and just bring up my conversation with Tommy and see what happens. Do I know what’s going to happen? Not at all but you know what I need to do something to stop this spiral. I grabbed my bag and headed out the door was I saw that Spencer said he was outside. Spencer was waiting outside his car for me and even opened the door for me, what a gentleman.
“You were nowhere to be found after work dude, where the hell did you go?” Spencer asked, closing the door as I settled into the front seat.
“Sorry, I started feeling bad so I had to get out of there. Hope you didn’t get attacked in the parking lot without your guard dog.” I laughed as he started his car and headed towards the place where the party was being held.
“You are literally shorter than me which is saying a lot but I was a damsel in distress and you just left me alone to die.” Spencer pretended to wipe a fake tear and looked over at me giggling. “But were you okay? Like nothing happened right?”
“Yeah I was fine, Tommy just got me thinking and I just got a little overwhelmed but promise I am perfectly fine now!” I smiled and let out a breath I didn’t even know I was holding in. “It um actually was about you if I’m being honest?”
“Me? I swear whatever it was I didn’t do it.” Spencer threw his hands up but I grabbed the wheel and gave him a glare.
“He did say that if you hurt my feelings he was going to hide your drinks until you apologize to me,” I looked over at him preparing myself for what I was going to say next, “He also said he thought we were together and were pulling a Courtney and Shayne”.
“Hm, Tommy thinks we’re famous enough to hide our relationship like that? Wow, I am flattered.” Spencer laughed looking over at me then stopped because he realized this might be a serious conversation. “Wait, being in a relationship with me sounds so terrifying to you that you had to book it out of the office?” I looked over and saw that we had already arrived at the place but I knew our conversation was not going to end just because we were here.
“No! I just got in my head and was so scared that if you knew that I had this massive ass school kid crush on you, it would ruin this friendship we have built. I have no clue what I would do if you were not in my life, Spencer, honestly.” I realized I have just told him about this crush I have on him with my word vomit so there was no turning back now. “I like you alright, I like you a lot and it’s so damn scary because I’m terrified to lose you in any sense of my life.”
“A massive crush you say?” Spencer started giggling and all I could do was glare at him ready to smack that smirk off his face. “I like you too dummy, I thought you knew already and just saw me as your dorky coworker who also is your best friend. I promise you’re not losing me anytime soon. You’re stuck with me now babe.” He smiled and leaned over to give me a soft kiss. A kiss that I think I have been waiting for what felt like years, a kiss that seemed to let go over all of my insecurities and finally felt safe and confident in a relationship. “Now, let’s go into this party and steal Courtney and Shayne’s thunder.”
We started to walk to the door of the place, hand in hand, and ready to face all of our coworkers. The only thing you can hear as soon as we walked into the room was a far away “FUCK YEAH” which I can only place as Angela screaming.

GOD chapter 59 was SO GOOD n i have a lot to say so sending an ask instead of leaving it on the post.
i /love/ when you make things hyper detailed, because your shading techniques are so much fun to sit n stare at and soak in for a while. that being said, the coloring of the wine spilling is what does it for me this time. it still would have been really cool in bw, but not as cool as seeing all the shades of red over the dark blue bg. you did the glass really well too!! I don't think there's a noticeable difference between the wine color inside and outside the glass which is fine bc it's clear, so it RLY makes me appreciate the lighting you have around the glass rim to show the edge in contrast. that tiny little detail makes the image for me. stellar work. i love it
also i do wanna throw in appreciation for the handwritten serif. super well done at first glance it did look like you'd jus typed it out. idk what texture you have on the brush you use for words but it's rly nice to look at up close.
i think the color kinda tipped me off but i waffled bc i couldn't remember if either of his parents spoke in serif font and was a bit daunted to dig thru 50+ chapters to confirm who it was if it didn't turn out to be them. i'm glad i looked at your tags tho haha saved me the trouble. what a way to end the act too!! i read this one on my phone and was scrolling thru the images at full size and after four or so i kept expecting it to cut off. it was a very pleasant surprise to have it keep going, worth the wait to have a longer chapter :)
maybe it jus wasn't meant to be a la sabo getting the letter from sally. it might have to be stelly after all tho there are things that come before then. what a bad time to have one or both of his parents speak to him for the first time that night. oof can't wait for the next act lets goooo
Oh wowww what a beautifully long review!
Thanks so much im glad you like how it turned out, i’m really happy with it, too! Ive never drawn fluids like this before, but i really needed this page to have that extra kick because it was such a short one.
Because i couldnt figure out how to make this moment look slow mo with multiple different panels on one page, I really wanted to make a piece that is like,, frozen in time instead.
A page like this, you can keep on it as long as you’d like. You can make it as slow mo as you want it to be.
Tumblr media
The serif lettering is that of outlook’s!
Tumblr media
I dont know if you can see the difference between this and my usual handwriting, but it’s supposed to look taller. Higher up. Neater. Cleaner. (Still my handwriting though so like so actually neat or clean, but you know like,,, in comparison to the norm.)
His dad only talks in one scene, and his mother has never said anything yet, so i dont blame you if you couldnt find it. In my. Large repertoire of chapters ive accumulated.
I definitely felt the same about the pages when drawing them. But probably the opposite feeling lol. Mine was more like “ugh i forgot theres so many. How many more of these do I have to get through??? How did i do this the first act ending with 11 pages???”
Im so glad you guys are on the edge of your seats with the letter :)
Thanks for the ask!

[18TRIP] Ten Murakumo | [SSR] Crow Under The Full Moon | Two/Faced
Tumblr media
Location: HAMA Tours - Office Floor
Momiji: Alright, finally done…!
Momiji: (I know it was a bad idea to work overtime, but it just didn’t sit right with me to rest with paperwork left to do.)
Momiji: Now I can just take it easy tomorrow…
Ten: Good work, Chief.
Momiji: Oh, Ten-kun. I thought you left already… Did you forget something?
Tumblr media
Ten: Well, I guess you could say that. More importantly, are you done working?
Ten: Want to go out for a drink now? I’d love to treat you to a good drink as a reward for working so hard this late.
Ten: Sound good? Let’s go.
Momiji: (...This is a little suspicious. Since when has Ten-kun been the type to say something so admirable like that?)
Momiji: (But since he’s gone through the trouble of asking me…)
Momiji: Alright, but just one drink.
Ten: That’s the answer I was looking for. Miss, if you’d like to follow me.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Location: Bar
Momiji: It’s so quiet in here…
Ten: Have you been here before by any chance? Right. This is Kuguri-san’s favorite bar.
Ten: Last time he brought me here as a “reward”, I got totally hooked.
Bartender: Sorry for the wait. Here’s your Hungarian wine and Klondike Highball.
Momiji: Thank you very much.
Ten: Alright, a toast to all the hard work and effort done by you, Chief… Cheers.
Momiji: C-Cheers.
*Glasses clink*
Ten: Must be a lot having to deal with so many different types of members. Now’s a good opportunity, so if you want to complain about any of them, I’m all ears.
Tumblr media
Ten: I am always on your side, after all.
Momiji: I know and I thank you for that.
Momiji: (Ten-kun feels a little closer today than he usually is… He’s a lot more touchy-feely than usual too.)
Momiji: (He even playfully hugged my shoulders on the way here… Just what is up with him?)
Momiji: …Mhm, the wine is really good.
Ten: Right? You don’t have to keep it to one glass, you know. Drink as much as you want.
Ten: It’s on me today, so don’t hold yourself back.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Momiji: (Yikes… I feel a little dizzy.)
Momiji: (I think I ended up drinking too much because Ten-kun kept encouraging me. Thank God I have the day off tomorrow…)
Tumblr media
Ten: Are you drunk? Your face is so red. Cute.
Momiji: (Isn’t he way too close? I can really see how long his eyelashes are like this…)
Momiji: (Huh? Did he just glance at someone behind me?)
Momiji: (Nobody’s there… Maybe I just imagined it.)
Ten: …Ah.
Momiji: What’s wrong?
Ten: I think I’m a little bit drunk too…
Ten: Why don’t we go outside and get some fresh air?
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Location: Wharf
Momiji: Alright, keep steady. Just walk straight ahead.
Ten: Haha, you’re sooo warm, Momiji-san.
Ten: I just want to borrow your shoulder and keep walking like this forever…
*Fabric rustles*
Momiji: Uwhoa!?
Ten: Since there’s no one to disturb us, that means I’m allowed to indulge myself at least for today, riiiight?
Tumblr media
Ten: Let me hug youuu.
Momiji: Hold on, you’re all over the place…! Be careful! I’m going to go get you some water, so just go and sit on that bench over there, and—.
*Footsteps*
Momiji: (Footsteps? Someone’s coming up to us…!)
Unknown Woman: Haah, haah… Ten…!
Ten: …You’re finally here. Took you long enough.
Momiji: Huh? W-What do you mean…?
· ❀ —– ٠ ❀ ٠ —– ❀ ·
Unknown Woman: Ten… Who is that? Is she…!?
Momiji: (S-She’s glaring at me really intensely!)
Momiji: Who is this woman…?
Ten: My ex-girlfriend.
Momiji: What?
Ten: I’m going to let you in on a “little secret”, so just listen to me for a moment, okay?
Ten: She started stalking me after we broke up. She’d always be following me around, whether I was going to campus or working part-time for HAMA Tours.
Ten: I really wish she’d just give it a rest already~. Maybe if she sees I have a new partner, it’ll snap her back to reality.
Momiji: …I see. So you’ve been putting on a show for her.
Momiji: Does that mean your drunkenness was just an act too? Did you really have to go that far?
Ten: It’s gotta be realistic. Doing stuff like that is important. Please keep up the good work for me~, Chief.
Ten: Even though I just work part-time, I’m still a member of HAMA Tours. Isn’t caring for my mental health part of the job?
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Option 1: Play along with Ten’s act.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Momiji: (I’m really curious to know about the kind of breakup that would lead to this kind of thing happening, and I’m really curious about his relationships too, so…)
Momiji: There’s no avoiding it… If you’re in trouble, I’ll help you, Ten-kun.
Tumblr media
Ten: That’s what I was hoping to hear. That’s what I love about you, Chief.
Ten: Alright, follow my lead. I’m going to hug your shoulders, so cling to me with everything you’ve got, okay?
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Option 2: It’s better to be honest.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Momiji: …If that’s your plan, then I can’t help you. You should just be honest and talk to her properly.
Ten: I thought you’d say that.
Ten: So that’s the kind of person you are, Chief. You’re one of those people who think they can understand almost everyone if you just talk to them.
Momiji: I didn’t mean to sound that naive, I just…
Ten: I’m not so sure about that~. You’ve always been so carefully protected, so you probably wouldn’t understand…
Ten: Don’t you know that there are some things in this world that can’t be solved with lip service?
Ten: And that’s why I’ve got to reject your opinion, Chief. The show must go on.
Momiji: (H-He put his hand on my waist…!!)
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Ten’s Ex-Girlfriend: Hey, stop being so secretive and say something already! Who is she!?
Ten: Do you really not get it unless I spell it out for you? You’ve been watching us all this time, so you should get it by now.
Ten: She’s my new partner.
Momiji: (He’s nuzzling his cheek against mine. Isn’t this a bit much…!?)
Tumblr media
Ten: That’s why you need to just give up and move on to someone else.
Momiji: Be careful with what you say! You don’t want to provoke her too much…!
Ten’s Ex-Girlfriend: …Y-You don’t have any clue how I was feeling…!!
Momiji: (This is bad, she’s rushing at us…!)
Momiji: Watch out, get away from—.
Ten’s Ex-Girlfriend: Ughh, you should’ve just said so from the beginning~!! As long as you’re happy, Ten, then everything’s okay!
Momiji: (She’s smiling happily and giving us a thumbs up!?)
Ten’s Ex-Girlfriend: Ah, I’m so sorry for misunderstanding. I—.
Ten’s Ex-Girlfriend: I was just so, so worried about whether or not you were happy after we broke up. I guess I just ended up following you around by accident.
Momiji: Huh?
Momiji: What!?
Ten’s Ex-Girlfriend: This one here’s got a nice face, but he’s kind of a mess, isn’t he? And on top of that, he’s got no real life skills, he’s like the epitome of a sugar baby.
Momiji: (That sure is a whole lot something that she’s saying…)
Ten’s Ex-Girlfriend: But. He was really kind to someone like me. I just wanted him to be happy.
Ten: …Huh.
Ten’s Ex-Girlfriend: Looks like everything’s okay. I’m glad. I’ll never follow you around again, don’t worry.
Ten’s Ex-Girlfriend: I… Hope things last between you and her for a long time. I wish you both the best!
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Ten: …Haah. That’s finally over with.
Momiji: Having a stalker like that is hard to believe. But I’m glad there’s someone who cares about you that much.
Ten: I didn’t ask for that, though.
Momiji: Even so, you should be more happy to see such a wonderful person, Ten-kun.
Ten: Ohoho, giving me advice, are we? So you’re talkative when you’re drunk, huh~? If you keep on talking, I might have to shut that mouth of yours myself.
Momiji: How can you even do that?
Ten: …
Tumblr media
Ten: It’s nothing, don’t worry about it. It’s not fun when drunk people take things so seriously.
Ten: Good work, Chief-san. Let’s call it here for today.
Ten: I’ll repay you for this eventually.

Five years ago, Shadow-cursed Lands
They sat on someone’s decrepit tomb, a short distance away from camp. The location choice was ironically apt, not that Astarion was in any mood to laugh.
Why had he decided to tell her anything instead of just carrying on as they had..?
Ah, right. Because he wanted to have one thing, just one wretched thing in his life that wasn’t tainted, shrouded in lies and encased in his own guilt.
And now it was going to come to an end.
Asmodea - he supposed he would have to stop calling her ‘Oddie’ now, it wouldn’t feel right to continue with the little nickname, the one that had been his and his only - had drawn her knees up to her chest, ankles crossed, hands grasping at the tresses of her hair near her scalp as she stared off into space, anguish writ on her face. She looked oddly reminiscent of a child trying to curl into a ball. Seeing her this way was heartbreaking - he wanted nothing more than to comfort her, but how could he possibly do that, when he was the one who caused this hurt?
“I feel so stupid,” she said, softly.
Oh don’t beat yourself up, thousands have fallen for the same act before you,” Astarion said wearily.
She blinked, looking up at him, as though snapping out of a trance.
“Not about that,” she said. “I tried to pretend you were just a fun romp for the longest time, too.”
“...What, then?” Astarion frowned.
She hugged her knees tighter, looking away.
“Gods… Thousands you say…” she whispered. “This whole time, you were hurting. And I just kept taking, and taking, and taking... Fuck!” She hid her face in her hands briefly, before looking at him again. “You’ve given so many signs and hints… I just happily ignored them instead of putting two and two together. I’m so sorry...”
“You...” Astarion found himself at a loss of words. “You have nothing to apologise for... You only did exactly what I wanted you to do...”
He had anticipated anything but an apology. Tears, accusations, anger, perhaps even a cold indifference or scorn. He had prepared himself for all the worst outcomes. But this..?
“So where do we go from here..? What do you want to do?” she asked.
We.
Astarion smiled in disbelief and reached out for her hand.
Every day after that, he expected her to end it, and every day, she stayed.
As the days went by, for the first time in gods knew hold long, he allowed himself to relax, having nearly convinced himself that she truly was content to simply lie in his arms at night, sharing her warmth, or stay up with him talking nonsense in hushed murmurs, while the rest of the camp slept.
Loving her and being loved felt more of an affront to Cazador and all his rules than even drinking sentient creature blood had been. Every sincere laugh, every gentle touch, every whispered word of affection was a forbidden luxury. Every time he indulged in it - an act of defiance.
That night, some days after his fateful confession, they took the first two watches and just stayed up together, as had long become their custom. It wasn’t optimal, perhaps, but they needed less sleep than most of the others anyway.
Astarion had dragged a crate over to the fire, and sat leaning against it, as Oddie - his Oddie, he repeated to himself - lounged between his legs, her back to his chest, her legs stretched out towards the fire.
A small pile of their companions’ clothing that needed repairing lay nearby. Astarion had volunteered to mend it - in part because he genuinely did not mind doing it and it gave him something to occupy himself with, in part because he liked to maintain a reserve of small favours, repayment for which he might collect at a later time.
He paused his own work and watched, amused, as she struggled with someone’s torn sleeve. He had insinuated that she was incapable, and she had decided to prove him wrong. He wondered what else he could goad her into in this manner.
“There. See?” she held the sleeve up for him. “Just because I choose not to do it doesn’t mean I can’t.”
He inspected the tear she had mended - there was too much thread used, the stitching was uneven, and the fabric now pulled, slightly lopsided. It would definitely hold, though, for better or for worse.
“…You’ve certainly made an improvement to its prior condition, my dear.”
She sighed and tossed the garment aside.
“I just hate it with a passion. Brings back memories that only make me angry.” She adjusted the way she lay, making herself more comfortable. “The man I was with back when I was very young and very stupid - he believed that just by virtue of being female, I was obligated to do all his mending, washing, cooking. ...Other servicing. You name it."
“Did you believe it?” Astarion asked, softly.
“I believed that I needed him to survive,” she contemplated. “He wasn’t all bad, I suppose,” she added after a brief silence.
“Did you love him?” he asked, realising too late that his tone was too nonchalant to indicate anything but veiled jealousy.
“I thought I did, at the time,” she answered. She then tilted her head back against his shoulder until she was looking up at him. “Now I know better,” she smiled.
Caught between his instinct to immediately brush it off with a roll of his eyes, and an urge to melt into a stupid smile and embrace her tighter, he huffed and pressed his lips to her temple.
“What about you?” she asked. “Ever get to love anyone?”
“Of course I’ve loved,” Astarion said, slightly annoyed. “…I don’t remember anything about whomever it was, but that doesn’t mean I’m not familiar with the feeling itself. Surely you didn’t think you were that special, darling?”
Oddie shifted to move out of the circle of his arms. Instantly, a sinking feeling somewhere in his stomach told him that he had already screwed it all up, that he’d said all the wrong things, and that his teasing came off too brusque - but she had only turned around to look at him with curiosity, and the feeling abated as quickly as it had come on.
“Was it your thiramin?”
“What do you know about thiramin?” he asked, surprised.
“I’m a bard, I know every sappy love story there is to know about elven soulmates.”
“Is that so?” Astarion mused, before continuing. “Thiramin are rare, practically a myth. I would take anyone declaring that their life partner is their thiramin with an entire handful of salt. ...And no, I’ve not met mine, if they even exist. That I would remember.” He returned to the shirt he had been mending. “And now I never will.”
“Why not?” she asked.
“You need a soul to have a soulmate, for one. And vampires don’t have souls.”
“Who told you that horseshit?!” she scoffed, making him look up at her in surprise again. “Of course you do - you have your desires and aversions, you feel joy and anger, you laugh, you cry... What else do you think a soul is, if not that which makes all this possible?”
“Maybe...” he said, furrowing his brows at the sewing, his work slowing. “What about you?” he asked, lifting his eyes to look at her again.
“What about me? I’m half-elf.”
“And you can’t have half an elven or human soul – it’s one or the other.”
“Hmm...” It was her turn to frown. This wasn’t something she’d ever considered before. “I don’t reverie.”
“Neither do I,” retorted Astarion. “You look more elf than human, even if you behave like a goblin, but that’s not what’s making me wonder.”
“Oh? And what is?” she tilted her head.
“Your patron. You say it came to you, unbidden, when you were in a prison cell. How? Why then? Why did it pick you?”
“I’ve asked, but they wouldn’t tell me,” Oddie answered. She had wondered about this herself, but figured it was all an unlikely coincidence and happenstance.
“I think,” Astarion began, “your fey ancestry from your elven side is strong enough that it sensed your distress from within the feywild, and came to your call. I doubt a human could do the same. A despairing human soul might attract a demon, maybe. But not a fey.”
“Maybe...” she said thoughtfully, resting her chin on her hand. “Let’s say you’re right, and my soul is elven. How would I know, if I met my thiramin?”
“You’re the bard, not me” Astarion shrugged, returning to his work. “Make something up about yearning and passion the like of which you’ve never felt before. Unwavering certainty and devotion. Pain at the mere thought of separation.”
She chuckled, and continued to study his face until he looked up at her again.
“It’s very romantic, what you’re hinting,” she smiled.
“Hmm? I’m not hinting anything, darling,” he said, shifting. She only breathed a brief silent laugh and leaned towards him to place a light kiss on his lips. “But it is a beautiful little fantasy, isn’t it?” he whispered, drawing her back against him.
“It’s been nigh on a tenday since you last disturbed my sleep with your rutting, yet you manage to revolt me more than ever,” a voice accosted them from beyond the campfire.
Lae’zel sat down across from them, having risen to take watch.
“I hope you’re happy,” she added. Her words came off as an insult, but there was sincerity in her voice.
Tumblr media
Present day
She was lying to him.
Or hiding something from him, which may as well have been the same thing.
Oddie was devoting more and more time to conversing with that… thing in her head. She stopped doing so out loud, at least when she suspected he might be near, but he knew her tells: the way her eyes would freeze on random objects, the way her nostrils might flare for  no reason, the barely perceptible sighs that had no discernible cause, or her lips twitching into smirks when there was nothing to laugh about.
He had long accepted the presence of this unseen observer in their lives, if reluctantly. He had made some futile attempts to persuade her to terminate her warlock pact, years ago, but her stance on the matter was unrelenting. ‘Fuckface’ (Astarion still cringed at what she so freely called the creature) was there to stay, and the most surefire way to get her to bristle was to try to interfere in her dealings with the fey.
Over the years, sometimes her patron would retreat for long stretches of time - there wasn’t much need for its favours in the city after all - but it was clear it had been very active in her mind lately. She would normally share the fey’s quips with him, or complain about it when it was acting up, but of late he was not privy to anything that went on between them.
It wasn’t so much that he had to know everything - he wouldn’t feel the need or desire to intrude on whatever nonsense the two inane creatures were whispering to each other at all, if it wasn’t for the overall distracted daze Oddie seemed to have been in for days. This was something altogether different to anything that had come before.
He had had enough. He would find out today. Hells, he would find out now - waiting longer meant risking wasting another day only to end up not being able to discuss anything, and he was already wound tight as a string.
Approaching her head on carried a risk of spooking her like a wild animal, and who knew which way she’d dart with her reaction once she was startled. No, he would need to distract and pacify her as he stomped through the eggshells.
She was standing at the podium in the vestibule, studying the guest list. There was a lull in the comings and goings of their attendees, and she was alone.
He circled behind her, dragging his fingertips across her waist and down her hip, his motions reminiscent of a cat that was showing affection or marking its territory. He nuzzled her ear lightly as he came to a stop beside her.
He noted with satisfaction the minute change in her breathing and the way she leaned ever so slightly against him, though she otherwise continued to ignore him in favour of the reservation book.
“You’ve been very bad,” he purred in her ear.
A sly smile played on her face.
“I won’t dispute that,” she replied. “Though you’ll need to tell me what I’ve done wrong this time.”
He dipped lower, brushing his lips against the sensitive bite marks on her neck. His markings, stark on her otherwise unmarred neck, he thought smugly before reminding himself not to get distracted. She shivered and cast a glance around them, to check that they were still alone. She was about to say something, no doubt to tell him that this wasn’t the time or place for this little game, when he raised his mouth back to her ear.
“I know you and your patron have been keeping secrets from me,” he grated, nipping at her earlobe and planting his arms on the lectern, encasing her within.
Her smile faltered and she half-turned to look back at him, surprised. What appeared to be guilt and a touch of confusion flashed on her features before she re-collected herself.
“Fuckface has been droning in my ear, yes,” she said, turning back away, resolving to respond to his words rather than his actions. “That’s hardly a secret.”
“What does it want?” Astarion asked, pleased that he still seemed to have the upper hand. He pressed against her ass, using one hand to tilt her chin and turn her head to make her look him in the eyes. “Hmm?”
“It’s...” she hesitated.
‘Hells below, just don’t say it’s nothing,’ Astarion thought to himself.
“It’s a long story,” she concluded.
“So start telling me,” he said, his other hand sliding down her thigh and sneaking into the split of her skirt.
“Godsdamnit, Astarion.” Her breath hitched, but she turned to face him, the need to maintain a semblance of decorum breaking through her confusion and arousal at last. “Not here," she hissed.
“We can relocate, if you like,” he smirked.
With that, he pressed on, until she had no choice but be walked backwards until her back was pinned against a wall off the side of the vestibule, partially concealed by a column.
“Now will you tell me?” he asked, coyly.
“I’ll tell you at the end of the night,” she conceded. “I promise.”
The tone of her voice suggested that whatever it was wasn’t ominous and that he could believe her, and he relaxed, somewhat. For the moment, at least, that question could be set aside. However, another problem had arisen.
“And what am I supposed to do with this now?” he asked, looking down at the bulge in his pants, pressing into her hip.
“That predicament of yours isn’t my concern,” she said, clearly becoming emboldened - too bold for his liking, in fact - again. “Tuck it away.”
“I can think of one place to tuck it away,” he murmured, looking into her eyes, continuing to grind against her slowly.
“Funny,” she grinned at his corniness despite herself. “But I’m not about to drop everything and leave for a quickie.”
“Who said anything about leaving?” He narrowed his eyes.
“Oh please,” she rolled her eyes, “we both know you’re not going to fuck me here with all these people around.” Much to his pleasure, he heard her heart rate pick up, in contrast to her apparent bravado.
“Hmm? You’re so sure about where I will and won’t fuck you..?” he said, unrelenting. “Is that a challenge, darling..?”
She only wet her lips and continued to hold his gaze, without attempting to escape his grasp or trying to push him away. The look on her face was becoming more and more mischievous and defiant by the second, however. This was all the encouragement he needed.
“So it is…” He quickly glanced back to check whether anyone was behind them, then looked upwards, before grabbing and lifting her by the hips. She gasped and wrapped her legs around him, reflexively, clasping her arms around his neck. “Hold on tight.”
Before she could react, he quickly scaled, spiderlike, up the wall, as she clung on to him, continuing up onto the ceiling, past the vestibule and into the theatre proper, until they were among the beams above the audience.
A vampire’s spider climb ability changed the very way gravity affected them. Astarion’s hair and clothing fell against his body that way it would ordinarily. A hat would even stay on, should he be standing upside down.
The same could not be said about anything he tried to carry with him, and this included Asmodea.
She let out a muffled squeal as her body pressed hard against his once they reached the ceiling. She had, once again, found herself in a predicament she could not get out of.
Asmodea swore and cast a darkness spell to try to conceal them. This section of the theatre was dim, but with at least a hundred people below them already, this was not something she wanted to risk being exposed. The music being played would hopefully cover any sounds they might make.
As all those concerns raced through her mind, Astarion seemed to be having the time of his life.
He reached down to run his hand up her thigh on the side where her dress was split with a high slit, until he reached her panties.
“You won’t be needing these.”
The little scrap of silk and lace went flying into the crowd as he simply tore them off.
She wasn’t sure whether it was just an act he put on, but as he went through the motion of tossing them away, for a moment it felt like his body would lose balance and he would also go flying down into the audience, taking her along with him, and she let out a small involuntary yelp, clinging on to him tighter.
“It’s fine, I’ll break your fall,” he laughed. “And someone else will break mine – they'll think it’s all a part of the show, as long as no one dies.”
She snickered despite herself, heart racing.
“We could hire some of those vampires Ivar warned you about and have them-” she was cut off as he caught her lips in a kiss, pinning her tightly between him and the ceiling with his full body weight.
Being suspended that way was the strangest sensation. She didn’t know what to do with her legs: no matter what - she felt like she was on the cusp of falling. She had no choice but to simply place her full trust in Astarion, hooking one leg around his, looping the other around his hips, as he slowly but deliberately ground them into hers.
“I’ll need your help with my pants unless you want me to take my hands off the ceiling again,” he breathed in her ear.
“What’s that, you didn’t think this through?” she teased.
“You do realise I can just stand on my feet and fuck you completely upside down..?” he said wryly. “It’s your choice...”
Asmodea cursed again and hurriedly reached down to unlace his pants. This was not a topic he would joke about.
He breathed in relief as she finally released his cock.
She stroked his length with feather-light movements of her fingers, circling down to his balls with her fingertips until she reached a spot where she knew he was most ticklish. His cock twitched between them as he shuddered, drawing a breath through his teeth, and groaned.
“Behave, darling, I won’t warn you again,” he murmured in her ear, a dangerous note in his voice.
“I’ll behave,” she giggled and whispered sweetly, taking his shaft into her hand to stroke it slowly but firmly, and reaching down with her other hand to pull and jerk the skirt of her dress out of the way.
“Good,” Astarion whispered hoarsely, as she spread a drop of precum over his cockhead with her thumb. “But you can do better than that.”
She continued to play with his cock as she guided it between her legs, not allowing it to dip inside yet, but grinding against it, covering it with her slick as Astarion rolled his hips, running his length against her, grazing her clit with its head.
“Good girl,” he purred in her ear. “Very good, very wet girl… Is it the audience beneath us that has you so hot and bothered..? Do you want to put on a different show for them..?”
“I would never,” she groaned.
“I’m not asking whether you would, I’m asking whether you want to,” he whispered. “All those eyes on you, while I do whatever I want with you?”
She found herself clenching around nothing and hurried to guide him inside, as he eagerly pushed himself in, filling her completely.
She hoped he didn’t notice the little desperate whine she let out at his words before that, but he did - of course he did.
“You do, don’t you?” Astarion whispered as he began thrusting into her. He was forced to keep his movements shallow as the sheer force of gravity pressed their bodies tightly together, making him grind hard against her clit. The additional pressure and friction was sweet, so sweet between her legs, and she moaned wantonly, not sure herself whether from the sensation or from the obscene images filling her mind.
Astarion reached to grab her wrists and held them over her head against the ceiling, one-handed, as he pulled the bodice of her dress down with his other hand, exposing her breasts.
“A whole crowd watching your tits bounce with my every thrust,” he continued, hoarsely.
She was coming apart, equally helpless before the rumble of his voice whispering obscenities in her ear, and the incessant rhythmical rocking of his hips.
“That’s what you want, isn’t it?”
Damn this man, she thought. It took her everything to maintain the darkness spell, as she felt her pleasure building quickly - too quickly for her dignity’s liking - but she was beyond caring.
As chance would have it, she was unable to contain a loud moan just as the music went silent for a second. The audience below them laughed but didn’t seem to be able to tell where the sound came from, and they remained undetected.
Astarion was too close to his own peak to continue to taunt her.
“That’s it, don’t hold back,” he groaned.
She couldn’t hold back any longer, not unless she actually wanted the darkness spell to slip and dissipate. The thought of truly being exposed in this precarious position, the urgency of it all, and the sheer merciless pumping of Astarion’s cock in her hole finally sent her spasming uncontrollably around his hard length, as he continued to fuck her through her desperate mewls, even as she bit into his shoulder trying to stifle her moans.
Her vice-like clenching pulled him to the edge faster than he would have liked. He snarled and released her arms, pushing against the ceiling with his hands, to try to give himself more room to deepen his thrusts. Understanding what he needed without words, Asmodea pressed her hands against his chest for leverage, letting him chase his own release.
The rhythm he held earlier stuttered as his hips crashed into hers, almost as though of their own accord.
“You shameless… fucking… whore…” he rasped, accentuating every word with a forceful thrust, until he finally spilled inside her, with a feral groan.
“Gods…” he gasped, as he fell back against her, stilling and letting her relax against him, lying suspended on his body. “…We need to do this again.”
She only chuckled softly and wrapped herself around him with a sigh of contentment, as he drew her into a kiss that contrasted impossibly in its tenderness to the indecent things that left his mouth just earlier.
Moments later, as he pulled out of her, Asmodea felt, and then observed over Astarion’s shoulder, with what can only be described as bemused dread, as dribbles of semen dripped from between her legs and onto the unsuspecting audience below.
“Get us down, NOW,” she hissed. It was one thing for a pair of mysterious panties to fall on someone’s head – frankly that was very much on brand for their establishment, but raining down sperm onto their guests might just be taking things a tad far. Even at Sharess’s one would first need to consent before something like that might occur.
Astarion choked back a laugh and scrambled toward the opposite wall. For some reason, getting down was always more difficult for him than climbing up.
She wasn’t sure when the darkness spell had worn off – hopefully only after they began their descent, but as they collapsed on top of each other once Astarion finally half-stumbled, half-fell off the wall, they found Frederic, the emcee, tutting disapprovingly and shaking his head, as he tried to hold a curtain in place that concealed their blundering attempts to regain verticality in a dignified manner.
“Curious time and manner to try to clear the spiderwebs... Ah, madam, no, your hair… Your dress! Tsk, I simply cannot allow you into my theatre looking like this,” he chided his employers. “Off with you, make yourselves presentable!” The man’s serious facade finally cracked as he winked at them, before they hurried off, snickering, up the nearest service stairs before anyone else noticed them.
The mirth had worn off by the time they reached the bedroom.
“Did you honestly decide to seduce me instead of just asking me about my patron?” she said, exasperated.
“I have asked, days ago - you said you’d tell me later,” Astarion snapped back. “Well, it is later now.”
“And I said I’d tell you at the end of the night - it’s not the end of the night yet,” she retorted.
Astarion crumpled up the shirt he had just taken off and flung it onto the floor, giving in to his frustration.
“If I have to sit and wait like a dog for whatever scraps you’ll give me, will you at least tell me why you’re lying?” Astarion ground out, sitting on their bed. “Is there something so terrible you think I can’t handle it? Whatever it is, I don’t need you to coddle me.”
“I’m not ‘coddling’ you,” she protested, sighing. “It’s actually the complete opposite of what you think…”
He furrowed his brows but didn’t say anything, and she continued.
“I think I’m on the cusp of good, really good news,” she started, picking at her nails, “but yes, I haven’t been ready to talk to you, because, well… I’ve been worried it’s all an impossible ruse, and I didn’t want to get your hopes up for nothing. Not until there was some kind of guarantee, or I was sure there’s no catch.”
“Your patron’s a fey, of course there’s a catch,” said Astarion, his tone softening somewhat. “Well, we can judge whether it’s realistic or not together, whatever it is - so what is it?”
She looked away, breathing a soft laugh, and shook her head.
“You’ll say it’s stupid and that I’m being naive.”
“Darling, if even you think it’s stupid - it very well may be. But for hells’ sake, just tell me.”
“Alright,” she said, approaching him and perching on the bed next to him, pausing to think how to begin before continuing. “So… we’re amending the contract,” she began, “and no, before you say anything, we haven’t agreed on the exact terms yet,” she added hastily. “There are some things Fuckface wants - mostly minor, but also they want me to leave Baldur’s Gate for a while-” Astarion tried to interject, but she kept talking. “-and yes, you can come with me. If you want. They want me to be ready to take on some task for them. And no, I don’t know the details yet - they won’t tell me, but I can back out of it anytime, it would just mean that they won’t have to uphold their end of the bargain, but there wouldn’t be any repercussions for me.”
“Slow down.” Astarion finally got a word in. “And what is their end of the bargain, exactly..?”
Asmodea took a deep breath and clasped her hands.
“They said they could grant me a boon.”
“Alright. What’s the boon..?” Astarion asked cautiously.
“This is where you’ll tell me I’m being stupid.” Asmodea bit her lip and grinned.
“You’re stalling. What boon?” he asked, impatiently, looking at this creature before him, still covered in flaked whitewash and dust, a string of cobweb dangling from her hair, impish look on her face. She looked as mad as the words that followed out of her mouth.
“A boon of immortality.”

╰₊✧ sneaking around with fuckboy ren zotto & thinking about your feelings┊0.7k words
contains: smut!! dom ren & sub reader┊friends with benefits, outdoor & semi-public, making out & tongue piercings, size difference, ooc ren, a whole lot of buildup for a paragraph of smut my bad, receiving oral, mentioned unrequited feelings
➤ author's note: thanks to @roseofdepravity for the idea of ren with piercings!! i’m no longer normal about him (i haven’t written in a while due to writer’s block, i may be rusty)
Tumblr media
“god, what’s gotten into you? we might get caught here!” your back pressed against the ridged brick wall of the building, unable to escape in any direction with ren blocking your way.
“what’s gotten into you? thinking that you could wear such a cute outfit and expecting me not to go crazy over it?” his hand trailing up your thighs and under your skirt to tug at the hem of your underwear. “and you’re so wet for me already? what were you thinking about during the lecture?”
“’for you?’ don’t get so ahead of yourself when we aren’t even together,” you scoffed. it was literally the first day of the new semester yet still believable that something like this happened already.
“maybe i’ll make it official then,” he smirked, his other hand cupping your face upwards to shut you up with a kiss. a sense of urgency laced his every action as if he actually cared about the possibility of getting walked in on despite acting like he didn’t. this was the most vulnerable both of you have been to the public eye, getting dragged into a dark empty hallway with burnt-out lights right after a class with him.
you highly doubt that he ever would make it official with the copious number of men and women lined up at his door, but it’s not like you aren’t already content with this little game of cat and mouse that’s been going on since high school. all you could do was roll your eyes and sigh at the intrusion of his tongue slipping into your mouth, feeling the tasteless titanium of his piercing as you put up a little fight for dominance before completely melting into him and letting him take control like always.
although he isn’t the tallest guy on campus, he still managed to tower over you and dominate you so effortlessly. you practically disappeared behind him and it eased any anxieties you had about being seen since you would just be another one of the many people he was seen screwing without being recognized, but you suddenly panicked when he dropped to his knees.
“don’t worry about it, everyone is at the club fair for the free snacks anyways…” he mentioned as if he read your mind (you wouldn’t be surprised at this point, you’ve learned over the years that aliens have many different abilities). you were half-tempted to kick him off to drop the moment and pick it up another time, but his devilishly charming smile managed to make you agree to it like always.
realization struck you about just how many times you’ve snuck around with ren from the moment mutual attraction was made known until now: from parties, to trips, to being rebounds, to being bored. there was hardly a single week that went by without one of you sending a text to the other. neither of you was looking for anything serious and you had already crushed the idea of it ever happening several times, but there was a little glimmer of a wish that maybe your friendship including extra benefits would evolve into something more— even though he probably doesn’t feel the same way.
your thoughts disappeared with a shiver up your spine when he started to lick long stripes along your cunt, gasping at the piercing of metal against your clit controlled by his talented tongue that knew you more than you knew yourself. he moaned at your taste, lapping up the leaking nectar until you just all over his mouth and then he’ll chuckle with slick lips about how quickly he was able to unravel you.
he doesn’t need anything in return, he’ll tell you when you started the motions to return the favor. he just wanted to eat you out because of how cute you looked today, wiping the remnants of the seconds before away on the sleeve of his hoodie before leaving to give you some privacy to recollect yourself. he hides the blush on his face and speeds away, unsure of how much longer he’ll be able to pretend that he’s still seeing other people and that he feels indifferent towards you in that way when he can barely handle keeping his hands to himself.

Hades 2 Spoilers!!!
OKAY YALL I JUST FUCKING BEAT CHRONOS!!!!!
PEEPAW IS FUCKIN DOWN!!!
And omg I cannot WAIT for the full thing to be out, bc Homer suggested that what Melinoë needed was in the Prince’s chambers, and we go in there and ITS NOT DONE YET 😭
I’m so curious to know what it could be??? Like what would Zag have that would help?? She already has the equivalent to the mirror of night, she has the list of minor fated prophecies, etc etc.
Shit wait could that be where the fates are??! Idk why they’d be in there but I’m just spitballing at this point; maybe someone’s in there?? But tbh I do think it’s gonna be a thing, since the line wasn’t “someone,” tho it could be being purposefully vague.
I’m so curious to see how they’ll handle actually actually defeating/killing Chronos, and still having the classic replayability of Hades. Like I assume we’re gonna at some point actually kill him etc, like in the first game we defeated Hades once but it took many more wins to actually get Persephone back to the house. And will we get to see any of the other members of the house?? I kinda feel doubtful but god I’d KILL to have a Melinoë-Zagreus interaction, and also Melinoë-Persephone reunion, I need to see them happy 😭.
I feel like whatever the resolution will be, it can’t be too drastic, bc obv Mel still has to be in the crossroads in order to maintain replayability, but who knows, maybe they’ll be more creative!
In any case I’d love to hear theories about the thing in Zag’s chambers if there are any.

Heart of Gold (5 Times Gale's Heart Gives Out And +1 time Ken's Does) Barbed Wire Hearts Universe - Chapter One
God I can't believe I can finally publish this after so many problems preventing me from both writing and editing it, it feels like it's been too long! But here's the next instalment in the BWH universe. Only one chapter written and edited so far, but I'll be updating when I can with more. This is to add some much needed little details and lore for upcoming plot fics in this series.
For now though, enjoy! This chapter is only a short one, just to give the general start to the fic, but following chapters will be a little bit longer as the story continues (and don't worry, the big plot fics will be longer as always haha)

Ken stared at the little box that Curt was brandishing in front of himself with a raised brow, taking in the self-satisfied smirk behind still fading clown paint from the day before on the other man’s face. He let the exasperated sigh escape him from where it had been building since Curt first showed him the box.
“You can’t be serious, Curt.”
Curt wiggled the box at him, the item inside rattling gently in response as Curt’s smirk grew. “Oh I’m deadly serious,”
Ken eyed him, judgment clearly written across his own expression as he snatched the box from Curt’s fingers. He looked down at the box, eyes scanning over the words with another sigh, albeit gentler than the one before.
“You’re gonna give Gale a Fitbit, because you wanna, and I quote ‘record the uptight bastard’s stress and heart rate because it would be funny’?”
Curt shrugged nonchalantly, reaching out and plucking the box from Ken’s fingers with the tip of his tongue caught between his front teeth.
“Yes. I think you’re missing the whole point here, Kenny. Have you seen the guy? Man is one big walking ball of stress, especially around Bucky and his bullshit, and all he says is that he’s ‘fine’.”
“So you just wanna prove him wrong so that you have something to brag about, basically?”
Ken raises one eyebrow at Curt and watches as the other gapes slightly, expression turning chastised but no less mischievous underneath Ken’s scrutiny. A hand comes up to scratch at the back of his neck.
“Basically,” Curt affirms, looking slightly sheepish, and Ken can’t help the knowing smile that curves his lips.
“Uh-huh,” Ken hums. He stares down at the box again where Curt is starting to peel the edges of the tape holding it closed with the edge of his fingernail.
Curt pauses and glances up at Ken through his lashes, scanning over Ken’s face before his shoulders sag and he rolls his eyes.
“Look, I’m not trying to be a dick. Call it genuine curiosity and slight worry for the sake of one of my best friends and his well-being.”
“With bragging rights,” Ken tacks on with his own answering eye roll.
Curt laughs, goes back to picking at the tape again with a wide grin. “Exactly! See? Now we’re getting on the same page here, Kenny my boy.”
Ken breathes out through his nostrils, watching Curt work away at the tape until he flicks the opening flap upwards and starts to extract the packaging holding the little black watch from its confines.
Curt holds it up, like a prize dangling from his thumb and pointer and looks at Ken with no less pride on his face. “You can even hook it up to your work phone so you have 24/7 access to Gale’s heart rate. Just in case there ever is actually cause for concern. It’s got a little alarm setting and everything.”
He waggles the device towards Ken’s face, eyebrows rising and falling in a suggestive gesture until Ken once again snatches it from Curt’s hold.
The little watch is cool in his palm, and he turns it over to observe it before glancing up at Curt again, lips pursed.
As much as Ken wouldn’t put name or face to it, he couldn’t deny that there had been a few times through the course of getting to know the men in their circuit that he had observed and noticed that Gale, in particular, had a bit more weight sitting on his shoulders in comparison to most of the others.
When he had first met the blond cowboy, all done up in his roping get-up with his stoic steel-hard expression and sizeable buckle sitting on his belt, Ken could admit that even though he wasn’t a competitor himself, that he couldn’t help but be a little bit intimidated by the air that Gale often exuded. Especially when in competition mode.
Despite only being a rodeo EMT, it was hard to come by anyone involved in the circuit that hadn’t at least heard of the great Gale Cleven and his achievements in the arena. Coupled with the known talk that the guy was ‘all work and no play’ and advice of ‘just don’t get in his way and you won’t have to worry’, Ken had truthfully dreaded the day that he would have to meet the man and have him under his jurisdiction of care and medical expertise.
The day he had met him, Ken felt like the world was trying to swallow him whole as he was faced with meeting most of the crew that he would be looking out for and tending to if any of them sustained injuries in the arena. He had shaken hands and introduced himself a number of times, friendly smiles and warmth being directed at him as easy as breathing before the group had all but parted in the tail end of their greetings and Ken was faced with Gale.
The blond cowboy had walked up to Ken with his shoulders straight, blue eyes questioning while also exuding an air of careful scrutinization as he’d looked Ken up and down, and Ken had felt like he was about to be snapped up like a bird between the jaws of a cat and crushed between sharper than needle fangs.
He’d stared at Gale, not game enough to break eye contact as the other thrusted his hand out in Ken’s direction, still adorned with worn but expensive looking brown leather gloves. The strength and power behind Gale’s grip alone once he’d taken his hand in to a firm handshake was enough to have him shivering in his sneakers.
But as Gale had introduced himself, Ken had watched as a slight look of warm fondness had broken through Gale’s expression, lips curving upwards in to a perfect smile full of straight white teeth directed at him, and felt his shoulders relax from their timid posture.
“Welcome to the crew, Ken,” Gale had said to him, words soft and sweet and dripping with unintentional charm. “Heard you’re one of the best we could possibly ask for. You might have your work cut out for you though, with this band of hooligans.”
Ken couldn’t help the smile that had slowly crept its way on to his own face in answer to Gale’s obvious attempt at easing his nerves, and he had felt his shoulders sag as Gale had dropped his hand, but feeling no less welcome.
It was from that point forward that a sort of easy friendship had blossomed between Gale and himself, the terrifying tales of strict and hard-faced Gale Cleven all but melting away in his mind until any time he heard Gale’s name whispered with unease from the mouths of any of the other competitors from different circuit teams made him smirk knowingly.
The guy was all bark and no bite, as far as Ken was concerned. At least when it was towards his own team, and he had come to realize that whenever Gale would be the first one to comfort or build up the confidence of the other boys without a second thought.
It was all a structured hierarchy, and Gale had been appointed the unquestioned leader of the group and the overseer to most of the happenings and organizing both between and during the rodeos that they travelled to and from over the course of the season.
It was with that unsanctioned leadership, though, that Ken could also see the immense strain heaped up on top of the cowboy’s shoulders in the thick of it all. And he would be unhesitant to admit that there had been a few times that he had observed Gale in the quieter moments where the weariness and need to keep on a brave noble façade was obviously eating away at him.
Especially once Ken realized that the group’s main bull rider John Bucky Egan was more than just a friend to Gale, and every time the man went in to that arena and sat on one of those great muscled animals, Gale turned a few shades whiter every time Bucky’s dismounts were a little less than graceful.
Ken had also noticed, through several different interactions both with himself and with other members of the group, that as much as Gale would unthinkingly dole out support and softness and strength, that when it came to himself, it was a completely different story.
He had noticed on more than one occasion the cowboy shying away from support directed at him, waved it off with a strained smile or an off handed comment that left Ken with a sour taste on his tongue and a worry settling in deep in his bones like a festering flame.
As much as Gale gave it, receiving it was a whole other ball game, and was met with such a conditioned resistance that Kenny often wondered what was laying in wait underneath Gale’s carefully composed surface. What scars were carefully concealed under a strong expression.
He was thankful for John in those moments, seeing Gale respond to Bucky’s carefully extended supports more than anyone else, but even then it was barely a sliver of open acceptance to the gentle touch, cards still close to his chest and roped back against him and away from prying eyes.
Ken looked back up to where Curt was still standing in front of him, now holding out the charger for the Fitbit and Ken’s work phone that had been sitting on the counter being waggled in his direction underneath an imploring look.
He stared at it for a few seconds, mind running through all the pros and cons and the precarious thought of ‘what could possibly go wrong’ cycling through his head, and let his shoulders sag with an exasperated sigh. He tried to ignore the gleaming smile Curt shot him as he took the charger and phone from his hand.
“Fine,” Ken gave in, switching on the phone and opening up the app store to download the accompanying app that would sync with the watch. “But I’m doing this purely for Gale’s well-being, and to give myself some piece of mind.”
Curt laughed, a smug but joyous lilt to its tone as he walked up to Ken and patted his shoulder. “Yeah you keep telling yourself that, Kenny.”
Ken rolled his eyes, a small smile working its way on to his lips as Curt pressed a loud smacking kiss against his cheek as the other made his way to the door of the trailer, swinging it open and stepping out to leave Ken to hooking up the devices.
“You’ve still got paint on your face, by the way!” Ken called out behind him as an afterthought before looking back down at his phone.
He could hear Curt’s laugh echo back to him from a small ways away outside.
“All part of the charm, baby!”
Surprisingly, Gale had accepted the watch from Ken without so much as a second thought, albeit a small look of question directed at him as the watch was passed into his hands. He had turned it over in quiet observance a few times, lips pursed and brows furrowed before he’d carefully pulled back the sleeve of his shirt and fastened it to the surprisingly delicate circle of his left wrist.
Ken couldn’t help the way it lifted a nervous air from his body and mind at Gale so trustingly taking the watch paired with Ken’s words of professional reassurance, and had to remind himself that as much as Curt had palmed the whole endeavour off with the pretense of it being a joke, it also gave Ken some peace of mind to now have a bit more of an insight into the medical signs of one of the most important cowboys in the team.
He also couldn’t deny that Curt’s curiosity had bled into him as well in the face of the act.
“Can’t say I ever really put much thought in to actually using one of these things,” Gale confessed to him, eyes still curious as he looked down at the face of the watch with interest. The time flashed back at him as he turned his wrist, experimenting with the movement of it a few times.
Tapping the face of it, the small screen cycled through his steps, distance travelled, energy burned, and finally the rate of his heart, which Ken couldn’t help but notice was currently sitting at a steady 89 as they spoke.
“You can thank Curt for that,” Ken chuckled, pointedly and casually adding in Curt as the culprit as well so he wasn’t the only one being thrown under the bus. “He figured it’d be a good idea to keep an eye on you fellas, your health and what-not seeing as how you’re all meant to be tip top athletes. And you’re one of the only ones who doesn’t actually have one.”
Gale looked up at him, a knowing smirk on the blonde's lips as he quirked one brow. “You mean Curt’s morbidly curious and just wanted something to brag about to John when I blow my top at him.”
Ken couldn’t help but laugh at Gale’s words, the sound punched out of him in surprise as Gale hazarded the guess and got it as close as he possibly could. He had had a feeling long before he’d even set up the watch that Buck would be clued in to exactly what was happening, especially once Ken name dropped Curt in the scheme.
“It’s alright Ken,” Gale assured him, smile still colouring his face as he winked. “I won’t let him know I’m on to him if you don’t.”
“Sweet,” Ken grinned, holding out a fist towards Gale in a silent ask for a fist bump which the cowboy gladly reciprocated without a second thought.
Gale gave another small look down at the watch as he let his hand fall back to his side, carefully pushing his sleeve down over it as it went to hide the little device from view.
“I’m actually a little curious myself,” Gale added on as an afterthought. “Might actually come in handy.”
Kenny nodded, casting his gaze over his shoulder towards the arena where Brady and Rosie were currently trotting their horses around in circles around a fake practice rig shaped like a steer. He could hear them laughing good-naturedly as they threw their ropes over it, joking amongst each other in friendly competition as Brady missed and Rosie whooped in triumph, arms coming up high in celebration.
Jack, Benny and Everett were perched up on the rails watching with smiles on their faces and chatting amongst themselves, Meatball at their feet chasing something in a patch of tall grass against one of the posts.
Ken pointed his chin in their direction. “This lot seems in a good mood today.”
Gale looked up to where Ken’s gaze was directed, and Ken couldn’t help but note the small fond smile that slipped on to Gale’s expression. Likened it to that of a proud parent looking at their unruly bunch of teenagers.
“Yeah it’s a lazy day today. Figured with more than a week until the next rodeo I’d back off and let them have their fun. Don’t need me breathing down their necks 24/7.”
Ken looked back at Gale with a questioning expression that he hoped Gale didn’t notice. Underneath the pride, Ken could sense a sudden hint of doubt mixed in Buck’s words, smile still evident but more muted as he stared over at the others. His blue eyes were slightly distant, and Ken felt his chest constrict just a little at the sight.
“I’m sure they’ll need your instruction sooner or later with how that’s going,” Ken tried, grinning as he turned to watch Brady expertly lasso Rosie around the middle with the other cowboy’s laughing squawk of offense. Brady’s replying laughter reached them seconds later with a shouted insult barely audible, and Ken could see the fond smile return to Buck’s expression.
Buck rested his hands against his hips with a gentle sigh, smiling up at Ken before dropping his eyes towards the ground. “Yep, yeah, I’d say you’re right.”
Ken saw a suddenly questioning frown pull at Buck’s brow as the other looked back up towards the arena, eyes scanning over the expanse of it, the stands behind and then flickering around. “Speaking of, you seen Curt or Bucky anywhere since earlier?”
Ken felt his eyes slightly widen in realization as Buck’s words sank in and a pit of innocent fear started to curl its way in to his gut.
“I can’t say I have, and I don’t know how I should be feeling about that,” Ken confessed to him with a grimace.
Buck blew out an exasperated breath, shoulders squaring as he tipped his hat at Ken with a smile before making his way past him. “Terrified, would be the correct term, I reckon.”
Ken couldn’t help the chuckle that escaped him at Buck’s words as he watched the blond walk casually over to the others.
The sounds of the crowd spectating the rodeo from a small distance away reached Kenny as he took a long drag of his cigarette, smoke curling its way out in to the air on his exhale in a wispy array of patterns before disappearing into nothing. He adjusted his seat on the step at the back of the med van, the back doors open to reveal the sterile and organized inside, medical equipment stored carefully and tucked away ready at a moments notice if needed while the current rodeo was in full swing.
This one had been going on without so much as a hitch so far, which Ken and a few of the other EMTs were thankful for, leaving them meandering around outside the van without much to do to occupy their time besides talking amongst themselves or scrolling on their phones to pass the time.
They knew at some point they’d probably need to patch up a knee or do the mandatory check over for concussions or other types of damage, but they were taking the peace while they could and being lax in the moments they were afforded.
It left some room for a tiny hint of boredom to thread its way through, but Ken would rather feel that unconcerned drag of time over doing vital signs on a bull rider that got too big for his chaps or be knitting together another cowboy’s split open brow while trying to stem blood flow with a stern hand and hint of exasperation.
The audience noise crescendoed in to a flurry of whoops and hollers by a few octaves, but being where he was Ken couldn’t quite see what event was currently happening around the edges of the towering bleacher seats. It was only still halfway through the rodeo so he knew that nothing truly spectacular was happening at this point, and he was content to sit, sneaker propped up on the tow-ball of the van and scroll for a few moments on his socials while sucking down the last few dregs of what he guessed was his third cigarette of the day.
Thought on the disapproving glance that Curt would be sending his way if the other wasn’t currently out behind the bull chutes painted to the nines in clown makeup and baggy shorts and suspenders waiting to run in and save the day once the bull riders were performing.
Also thought on the way the other would tut in disgust but still pluck the still burning cigarette from his fingers before stealing a drag in the face of Ken’s knowing smirk.
Almost too lost in the depths of his thoughts as he brought the cigarette up towards his lips for another inhale, Ken couldn’t help the way he jumped, startled and nearly losing grip on the burning stick as a sudden continuous beeping blared at him from the pocket of his jacket.
Frowning, he propped the cigarette in between his lips and reached down to clumsily fish what he realized was his work phone from the deep pocket and pull it out.
It was only when the bright words of warning that the current connected device was picking up irregular rhythms did he also manage to look up in time to see Buck, pale faced and looking a little worse for wear stumbling from somewhere over towards the camp grounds in the distance before leaning one shaking arm up against a telegraph pole.
Distress was obvious in the tense line of the cowboy’s shoulders, shuddering on a deep inhale and face pointed towards the dirt with tightly squeezed eyes, and Ken quickly stubbed out his cigarette in to the grass by his shoe and flicked it away as he half rose, alert.
“Buck! You okay, man?” Ken called out, worry tainting the tone of his voice, hand that was holding the still beeping work phone tightening until he could feel the plastic creak underneath his grip.
He kept his eyes trained on Buck’s figure, worry seeping even further in to his awareness when the other only managed a haphazard glance in Ken’s direction, a gloved hand waving out in dismissal before he turned his eyes back to the ground at his feet, arm falling back against his side.
With a groan of effort, Ken hoisted himself up off of the step of the med van and started in Gale’s direction with purpose. He turned off the work phone, silencing the noise and shoving the device back in to his pocket without a second thought.
The closer he got to Buck, the more he could hear the ragged exhales the blond was attempting to get under control and see the trembling shudder wracking the other’s taut shoulders.
Ken reached up one hand, resting his palm on Gale’s shoulder and leaning down to try and catch Gale’s line of sight where it was currently still trained downwards, brows furrowed in obvious distress.
“Talk to me, buddy. What’s happening here?”
The professionalism that bled into Ken’s voice in the situation finally reached through to Buck, blue eyes glancing up to Ken’s face with a blank look that morphed into a humourless smile for a second or two before falling again.
“‘m fine, Kenny,” Gale huffed, shoulder trembling more violently underneath Ken’s hold for a fleeting moment. “Don’t gotta get all serious on me, now.”
Ken chuffed out a laugh, a bit disbelieving as his eyes raked over Gale’s shaken form. “You sure? Because from where I’m standing your words aren’t exactly hitting home for me, Chief.”
Gale flicked a dismissive hand in his direction again, body straightening marginally like he was trying to put Ken’s mind at a little bit more ease if he showed less weakness. It made Ken frown in reply, the minute beeping originating from underneath the cuff of Gale’s shirt where he knew the watch would be reaching his ears amidst the ambient sounds of the rodeo around them.
Gale sniffed, eyes flickering towards Ken again in what he could only name as chastised.
“Was wondering though,” Gale started, tilting his chin towards his sleeve as he brought up his other hand to pull it back and reveal the Fitbit. “That ain’t normal, yeah?”
Ken gave Buck an exasperated look before turning his attention to the face of the watch, and felt his eyes widen marginally but managed to conceal the sudden unease in his expression so that Gale wouldn’t pick up on it.
Knew he had failed when Gale shot him a frown with accompanying worry reflected in his own eyes.
“I’m guessing no,” Gale grinned, forced and fake as he swallowed underneath the scrutiny of Ken’s expression.
“No, not so much, man.” Ken answered, simple and direct. He adjusted where his hand was on Gale’s arm, moving it more up underneath in a concealed attempt at support as he tugged slightly. He was still very aware of the shudders wracking through Gale’s frame, the beads of sweat sitting on the cowboy’s upper lip and across his brow underneath the brim of his hat on an ashen pallor. “Why don’t you just come over to the van with me and I’ll give you a quick look over, yeah?”
Gale shot him an unreadable look, but allowed himself to be guided back to the open back of the med van thankfully only a short distance away.
Ken helped lower him down so that the blond was occupying the seat against the low step that Ken was only on a few moments before, movements a little bit stiff and uncomfortable and made sure that Gale was comfortable before he stepped up in to the van.
He glanced back at Gale’s figure, reaching out and getting the vitals pack hooked up on the far wall and snatching the blood pressure cuff off of the built in bench as he turned.
Jumping back down onto the hard packed dirt, Ken knelt down in front of Gale who was still looking pale but not as frantic as the younger man started retrieving different equipment from the bag that he sat in front of him.
Gale eyed everything speculatively with that ever present frown still evident on his face. “I’m fine, Ken. Really.”
Ken glanced up at him with a strained smile as he pulled the velcro of the blood pressure cuff apart with a stark ripping sound, reaching up to secure it around Gale’s upper right arm with perfect and practised precision.
“Just taking precautions.” Ken assured him. He started manually pumping the small decompressor attached to the cuff. He unlooped the stethoscope from where it was draped over the back of his neck and lifted Gale’s sleeve up enough to be able to press the cool metal against his inner elbow gently. “Alarm went off for a reason, Buck.”
Gale rolled his eyes at Ken good-naturedly, but Ken could see the hint of worry reflected in the blonde's eyes as he flickered his gaze down to where Ken was listening to the thrum of his blood underneath his skin, wincing at the tight restriction of the cuff around his bicep.
“Dumb is what it is, I don’t even feel that bad any more.” Gale grumbled.
A few moments of silence went by as Ken listened intently to Gale’s pulse, holding his breath but allowing it to pass back out in a gentle exhale as everything seemed to be normal at least as far as blood pressure went.
Pulling the stethoscope away from Gale’s skin, he rolled the cowboy’s sleeve back down to cover cool but clammy skin and ripped off the cuff from further up. “Yes, well, as true as that may be right now, I just want to check you over in case. False alarm or not. I don’t particularly feel like having to explain to Bucky why you keeled over dead from a heart attack on my watch.”
Gale let an amused snort escape him at Ken’s words, lips curving up into the semblance of a smile as he kept his focus on Ken’s rummaging around in the med bag below.
“Point taken,” Gale mumbled, and Ken felt his own lips quirk up in reply.
The next few tests went by without so much as a suspicious blip or reading, and as much as Ken was confused, he was also incredibly relieved that Gale didn’t seem to be suffering from anything life threatening. As a small after thought, he reached out and gripped Gale’s wrist wearing the watch gently and turned the face of it towards himself, eyes scanning over the lit up surface and feeling satisfied when no warnings or alerts glared back at him. The heartrate had also gone back to a steady pace, and he let Gale’s hand drop with a sigh.
“Well, whatever was happening, you seem to be fine now,” Ken informed him. He looked up in to Gale’s face from where he was still crouched in front of the other, taking in the now more normal looking complexion and clear blue eyes staring back at him in curiosity and their own brand of confusion. “It might have been just a false alarm.”
Gale sighed, peeking down at the watch hidden back underneath the sleeve of his shirt with a blank look, posture relaxing that small increment more so he was slouched in a lazy lean, an elbow propped up against his knee.
“Fat lot of good a false alarm is,” Gale grinned. One of his hands came up to wipe the remaining perspiration still sitting against the ridge of his brow underneath the rim of his hat. That same hand then rose up to point an unthreatening finger in Ken’s direction, a mock expression of seriousness moulding on to his features. “But not a word of this is to be spoken to Bucky, under any circumstances.”
Ken chuckled, pushing himself up to stand and wincing at the ache that accompanied the movement from being crouched down in the same position for so long. He stretched out his back with a groan. “For once, I do agree with that statement.”
Gale looked affronted, mouth gaping slightly as Ken’s words but Ken could see the humour reflected there. “For once?”
Ken raised his hands in mock surrender, feeling something in his chest warm at the sight of Gale’s barely concealed amusement as he reached out a hand in Ken’s direction for help. Ken gladly accepted, gripping the other cowboy’s hand and pulling him easily to his feet until the other was standing tall and firm in front of him. The other did sway slightly, and Ken held out a hand in concealed readiness in case he needed to keep the other balanced, but in a blink any tilting had disappeared.
The sounds of the rodeo pierced back in to both men’s awareness, and Ken watched as Gale’s focus turned out towards the arena with a sharp turn of his head, the small smile that was there slowly slipping back into something that Ken couldn’t quite put his finger on. He allowed his own gaze to wander over in the same direction as Gale’s before pursing his lips and glancing back towards Gale’s face. The other looked lost in thought, blue eyes far away amongst whatever was running amongst his thoughts as the sound of cheering echoed across the grounds in a muted distant roar.
Licking his lips, Ken hesitated for a few seconds before parting his lips and letting the words that were sitting on his tongue escape in to a more simple question than the true ones he had.
“You sure you’re okay, Buck?”
Gale seemed to come back to the present at Ken’s words, face whipping back to look at Ken with a blank numb expression before his lips pulled up in to a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. Though they were soft as they looked at the younger man.
He reached up and let his hand fall in a friendly comfort against Ken’s shoulder, patting it twice before allowing his arm to fall. “Yeah. Yeah, I’m good. You don’t gotta worry, Kenny, promise.”
Ken let himself smile back in reply to Gale’s words, but he knew that it didn’t quite reach his own eyes either as the image of Gale only a small time before all but hyperventilating and looking moments from death leaned up against that telegraph pole flashed through his mind in vivid technicolor. He could almost hear the ghost of the beeping of his work phone buzz behind his ears.
He almost asked again, taking in the way that Gale had suddenly started gnawing at his bottom lip between perfect white teeth until the plush skin was red and looked moments from breaking apart underneath the ministrations, but something squeezed in his ribcage and he swallowed the words down.

hi i just wanted to say that i love your writing and your new yandere boarding school ocs have me foaming at the mouth, i have many thoughts about them-
like how i think it would be so funny if reader doesn’t initially want a romantic relationship with Evan like the others he’s hooked up with before do and it pisses him off (he’s in denial about his feelings). imagine after their locker room activities reader would just leave him with a “well this was fun but i’m late for movie night with Pez and Tyler, see ya!” or god forbid you tell him you have a lunch date with Harrison...
reader's got a roster too Evan, did you think you were special?
I love these thoughts. He'd definitely be pissed, and worst of all, he realizes while he's dealing with the thoughts of you going and fucking other guys that he hasn't been with anyone else since you started hooking up. This realization just makes his more angry, and he blames it on YOU wanting him to be faithful to only you, and that he's not sleeping with others as a favor. So how dare you go off and sleep with other guys. He'll go and try to intimidate anyone whose with you, even though Pez doesn't give a shit. He'll even schedule more practices because he knows Harrison will have to stay at his dorm and do homework extra late, meaning you'll only have Evan to hang off of at parties. He'll make sure to get you back to your dorm reallllll late. Give Harrison some time to stress out and piss of Carter, who happens to be on curfew duty that night.

The ex-archon as usual goes for his daily work break for lunch and tea where Iron Tongue Tian told stories, sitting down and looking around to see one of the staff talking excitedly with another couple of patrons before seeing him. They seemed to light up upon seeing him and bid goodbye to the others, coming over to him and clapping their hands together. “So you’re the handsome man that Name’s been gushing about. Zhongli isn’t it? I’ve seen you around here often.” they said with a smile and noted down his order, waving their hands and assuring him they knew it was usual.
This was news to him. He hadn’t suspected that there’d be any reason for them to gush about him since to him it seemed it should be the opposite. “Hm, I have to say this is the first time I have heard this. “ he said and thoughtfully hummed. Color him intrigued. “Why don’t you sit here with me and have some tea as well? I would very much like to discuss more about what Name says about me,” he said with a smile and if someone looked close enough they could see the slyness behind it.
The worker immediately smiled and nodded, rushing off to get his tea and what he assumed was theirs as well. “Well, I can assure you they’ve never said anything but good things. If anything I’m not sure I have heard anything but praises and compliments about how great of a lover you are. They always talk about how kind and caring you are whenever they’re uncomfortable or feeling down. Another thing they really gush about besides how in their words you’re “sculpted like an archon attractive figure” is how you actually listen to them and hear what they have to say.” he was unfortunately surprised when they emphasized that he actually listened to them which must’ve meant that others didn’t in the past.
Zhongli was aware that some men weren’t the best but he didn’t think it was that bad and if Name hadn’t mentioned it then he wasn’t one to bring it up since he trusted them to come to him with any issues. It was comedically ironic that his lover had said he was handsome like he was made by the gods but he suspected that it was a cover partially for keeping his ex-divine status. Nevertheless, this was great information that he’d found out and he would let you bring it up if you chose to or more likely if they brought it up to you.

Neuvillette
Everyone knows that the melusines see Neuvillette as a sort of father and so when you both started dating or “courting” as your boyfriend put it the adorable group of beings started thinking of you as their mom of sorts. Since they were guards and workers scattered around the city of Fontaine, greeting you whenever they’d see you and having small chats. Many of which you’d gush and rave about all the great things about your boyfriend and how he was so sweet and caring.
Word travels fast but it travels faster among the melusines so when Neuvillette walked the Palais Mermonia to overview a big court case coming up he was welcomed by a joyful group of melusines who started talking all at once. He could roughly understand parts of what they were saying and how they were talking about his partner. “Slow down, slow down. Let’s go to my office first,” he said and ushered them all in, closing the doors and thankful they could talk about this in private. “Now, what is it that you want to tell me?” he asked and sighed tiredly. It was already 10 in the morning and already there was something urgently needing his attention.
Canotila came up to him with her hands clasped together and a wide happy smile on her face. “We are just so happy to hear that Name loves you so much! We knew you were such a kind and devoted person to both Fontaine and its people but we didn’t know how caring you really were. It’s truly admirable Monsieur Neuvillette!” she gushed and joined several others to say affirmations of what Canotila had said. The Iudex knew his lover loved every part of him even the parts he was reluctant to share with them but he hadn’t known they had been gushing about how great of a boyfriend he was.
To be completely honest seeing Neuvillette display any strong emotional expression was rare and the bright red blush spreading over his cheeks was a treat to see. He was extremely touched that you praised him to others for what you adored about him. He would talk to you later to possibly not tell others and strangers about the more intimate details of your relationship because of a few reasons.

Wriothesley
To some of the veteran residents, it wasn’t a surprise to hear that the Duke Wriothesley had a lover and there were very rare times when he’d freely be able to visit you as often as he’d like but you’d often come to the prison when you both wanted to spend time together and couldn’t wait. So the guards knew you well as well as the senior residents and greeted you in addition to also making sure no one else fucked with you if they saw you since you never treated them anything but kindness.
So it wasn’t surprising when one of the guards informed him that one of the prisoners he was particularly close to asked to speak to him and came in with a smile. “I’m letting ya know that your lover is here but I think you wanna hear when I overhead them telling one of the guards,” he said and waited for Wriothesley to let him continue if he wished which he did. “Well, seems like you’re quite the 5-star boyfriend which doesn’t surprise me since I’ve known you since you were once in here but Name wasn’t it?” he clarified and continued.
“They kept going on and on about how well you remember all of their favorite things even the littlest details like how they like their tea or favorite dessert. I feel like it’s not a surprise to hear that another major part of what I heard was about them going on and on about how doting and loyal you are not to mention how attractive you and your personality are.” he hummed with an amused smile and held his hands up, getting up and saying his goodbyes to the Duke.

warnings: none
pairing: jason grace x gn reader
summary: read the request!
A/N: this is so simple I’m sorry 😭
Tumblr media
you heard the stories about the lotus casino many times, especially from people who had actually been there themselves, and you did believe them, you did, but being there yourself felt different from the stories
you were sent on a quest by your godly parent, and part of this quest included entering the casino, and that’s what you did. you told yourself you would only be there for five minutes, but you couldn’t find what you were looking for which made this harder than it had to be
you guessed you were in there about an hour, mainly because you kept checking your watch to see what time it was, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary when you looked at it, the time went by normally, so you thought that you would be fine
once you found what you were looking for you hurriedly made your way out, and everything seemed normal when you stepped outside
maybe the rumors had been false, you thought to yourself
after a few days you successfully completed your quest and headed back to camp jupiter
but when you got there people were acting like you rose from the dead, a few people even said that you did rise from the dead, but you assured them that this was false
you suppose that news traveled fast because as you sit in the infirmary, only minutes after your arrival, your boyfriend is rushing to your side, engulfing you in a large hug, tears streaming down his face into your shirt, soaking it
you allowed him to stay like that for as long as he needed. he cried into your shoulder for what seemed like forever until he finally spoke “I thought you were gone”
“I was only gone for a week” you say
“six months” he says between sobs
you think for a second, pondering the reasons for what could have happened, but then you realize “oh my gods, the casino”
he pulls away quickly with a horrified look, hands tightly gripping yours, it hurts to say the least, but you let him do it anyways
“I got stuck in the lotus casino for six months” you say calmly, but internally you feel like you could throw up any moment now
“we all thought you died” he cries
“I made sure to only be there a minute, I couldn’t find the item I was looking for, I thought it was only an hour” now your starting to cry, “I’m sorry”
jason is quick to stop you, “no, it’s not your fault” he pulls you back in for another hug, “are you alright?”
“yes- no, I’m not sure. physically I’m okay, mentally…” you trail off, not eager to finish that sentence, in truth your mental state was not the greatest at the moment
“if you want to talk, I’m here” he says softly
“I know” you mutter, holding back the rest of your tears
for the rest of the day you lay like that, wrapped up in each others arms. you make a mental note never to go on a quest by yourself- and also to never go back to the casino even if it means your life is on the line
